Friday Night Smackdown! Friday, May Week 1, 2007 Live from The Family Arena St. Charles, Missouri Attendance: 7,474 Smackdown gets underway with Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield talking to the audience at home about the potentially explosive main event tonight. Michael Cole Welcome to The Family Arena and Friday Night Smackdown everybody! Tonight we have a blockbuster of a main event for you. Batista and The Undertaker will be teaming together tonight to face off with Finlay and William Regal. You may be thinking to yourself, Batista and Undertaker teaming together? I think it makes a lot of sense John. These two men have fought tooth and nail over the World Heavyweight Championship for months now, and I think they have earned one another’s respect, and I think they will make a very destructive team here tonight. John Bradshaw Layfield I wouldn’t be so sure about that Cole. Undertaker is in possession of the one thing that Batista holds closest to his heart, the World Heavyweight Championship. Batista will do anything to get that title back, even if that means stabbing The Undertaker in the back. Michael Cole That remains to be seen John, but now we have a great matchup to kick of Smackdown, as we will see Chris Benoit and Mike Mizanin face off for the United States Championship. We now go ringside to Tony Chimel to start the action off. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Benoit © vs. Mike Mizanin United States Championship Match Chris Benoit came out firing in this match, and he unloaded on Mizanin with uppercuts and chops, showing Miz why they call him the Rabid Wolverine. Miz was tired of taking such a beating, so he put a stop to it with a poke to the eyes, a move that would slow down any man. Mizanin then went to work on the surgically repaired neck of Chris Benoit. He took him over with a snapmere takeover, then locked in a headlock, wrenching on the neck of Benoit. Benoit worked his way back up to his feet, but he was greeted with a kick to the gut, then a big DDT. Miz then signaled that it was over, and he lifted Benoit and positioned him for the Mizard of Oz. Benoit retaliated with a elbow to the gut, then a vertical suplex. Benoit then did the throat slit, and he climbed the turnbuckles. Just when he was ready to leap Montel Vontavious Porter flew into the scene and knocked Benoit off the top with a chair. The referee then had no choice but to call an end to the match. Winner by Disqualification: Chris Benoit Match Time: 13:35 Match Rating: C+ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Montel Vontavious Porter then demanded the microphone from Tony Chimel, and he began to address the St. Charles crowd. Montel Vontavious Porter Why’d you do it MVP? It’s real simple. It should be me facing Chris Benoit for the United States Championship, not this reality show freak. I’m the real deal, not some rooster haired moron. Benoit, you know that I have your number, but you just keep ducking MVP. Well I’m getting sick and tired of it, and until Teddy Long grants me a rematch at you, then do not expect another one of your matches to come to a clean ending. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The camera then goes backstage, where in her locker room Jillian is standing in front of a mirror with a comb in her hand like a microphone. She begins warming up her vocal chords, and it sounds like a cat being strangled. She then takes a big drink of water and heads out of the locker room and towards the ring for her match with Michelle McCool, which is up next. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michelle McCool versus Jillian This match was not exactly a technical showcase, but the fans got what they wanted. Jillian started singing before the match started and the fans yelled at her to shut up, and Michelle McCool granted their wishes as she ran out and took out Jillian from behind. Michelle then proceeded to stomp Jillian around the ring for a couple of minutes. Jillian looked all over for a way out of this predicament, and finally she found one. As Michelle forced her over to the corner Jillian spotted the microphone that she was singing with in the corner, then she grabbed it and got Michelle between herself and the referee so he couldn’t see, and then jabbed the microphone into the throat of Michelle. Jillian then hit Michelle with a big clothesline right across the throat of Michelle and got the victory. Chavo Guerrero After I won the Cruiserweight Championship once again, I did not hear about Chavo’s glorious victory to add yet another Cruiserweight Title reign to his resume. All I heard about was how impressive Gregory Helms title reign was. While I admit Gregory is a great athlete and a stand-up citizen, it’s time for me to change what’s on everybody’s mind. I plan to lay out a path of dominance the likes of which the Cruiserweight Division has never seen, and it starts right now. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shannon Moore versus Chavo Guerrero Chavo used his anger to fuel him in this match against the “Prince of Punk” Shannon Moore. He toyed with Moore for a few minutes, and in that time Moore would get a punch or a kick in here or there, but Chavo just shrugged it off and went back on the offensive. The beginning of the end started when Chavo hit the triple vertical suplexes on Moore. Chavo then went up top and flew off with a huge Frog Splash onto Moore. He covered him, but picked Moore back up before the referee could count three. He then motioned that he would not put it away that way. He then forced Moore back up, lifted him up and spiked him face first into the mat with a vicious Gory Bomb for the win. It then shows Kennedy holding the Money in the Bank briefcase up in the air, and footage airs of him saying that he can cash the briefcase in anytime he wants, and by the time WrestleMania 24 rolls around next year, there will be a new champion in the WWE. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul London versus Mr. Kennedy Mr. Kennedy looked very confident before this match, and he showed it by the smile on his face, and when Paul London approached him Kennedy paintbrushed him in the back of the head. Kennedy then walked up to London, who looked angry that he was just slapped in the back of the head, and when Kennedy tried to grab him London took him down with a swift leg kick. London then used his speed to kick Kennedy around the ring for a few minutes, as Mr. Money in the Bank tried to get away from the barrage of right and left kicks. Kennedy finally had enough and fought back with a huge clothesline, nearly taking London out of his shoes. Kennedy then dominated the match for a few minutes, before London got back on top with an enzuguri. London then motioned it was over and headed to the high risk district. He was on top, but Kennedy leaped to his feet, punched London in the midsection, then scaled to the second turnbuckle. He then place London on his shoulders and leaped off with the Green Bay Plunge for the hard fought victory. Kane has his sadistic smile on his face as he heads towards the ring, and Mr. Kennedy does not wait to see what he wants as he bails out of the ring and exits through the crowd, leaving Kane in the ring laughing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A video then plays showing The Undertaker winning the Royal Rumble. It then shows a graphic for Undertaker and Batista vs. Finlay and William Regal tonight. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scotty 2 Hotty and Jimmy Wang Yang versus Deuce n’ Domino w/ Cherry The new WWE Tag Team Champions had to put up with two of the premier Cruiserweights that Smackdown has to offer this week. The unique team of Scotty and Yang caught Deuce n’ Domino off guard with their great speed, but it didn’t take long before they isolated Scotty 2 Hotty in their corner. They used their noticeable size advantage against him, not letting him make it to the corner to tag Jimmy Wang Yang. Scotty then caught Deuce with a big kick. He almost made it to Jimmy Wang Yang, but he was yanked off the apron by Cherry. Then when Scotty turned back around Domino lifted him up like a spinebuster, then Deuce charged at him and caught him with a big kick to the jaw, ending the match. William Regal Finlay, we have had our differences in the past, and we are going to have to put our past behind us if we want to beat Batista and Undertaker tonight. Batista started against Finlay, and the two men traded huge right hands, but Batista’s strength proved way too much as he knocked Finlay back into the corner. Batista then used his shoulder as a battering ram, driving it into the gut of Finlay repeatedly. Finlay came staggering out of the corner, then Batista ran off the ropes ready to take him out. When Batista hit the ropes though the huge hand of the Undertaker tagged him in the back. Batista and Undertaker shared some words, as Finlay was able to tag in William Regal. Regal came in ready to go to blows with Undertaker, which was not a good idea for Regal. Regal hit him with a big left, but Undertaker shrugged it off and then punched Regal so hard that it knocked him out of the ring. Regal then decided he had enough and started walking down the aisle, and Undertaker gave chase very quickly. Finlay and Batista also locked horns and headed towards the entrance stage. All four men were battling on the stage, and Batista and Undertaker each got the best of their brawls, taking their men down. Then Batista got right behind Undertaker, and when Taker turned around Batista shocked the fans by giving Undertaker a Spinebuster straight into the concrete. Winner: No Contest Match Time: 13:53 Match Rating: B --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Batista then stood over The Undertaker as the fans stood on their feet stunned over what they just saw. Batista then forced Undertaker up to his feet and started throwing punches at the defenseless champion, busting Undertaker wide open. Batista then looked very angry as the fans booed him heavily. It did not seem to bother Batista though, and he forced Undertaker back up, then set him up for the Batista Bomb. Batista hoisted Undertaker into the air, then dropped him with a sickening thud straight into the concrete as Smackdown went off the air. FINAL RATING: B-

Randy Orton has shown why he is such a dominant superstar, while Bobby Lashley got lucky Tuesday night on ECW. Well tonight these men will get more tuner matches. He stomped on every appendage of Val Venis, and when he forced Venis up, he did not take it any easier on him. Orton hit a big inverted backbreaker on Venis, then began stalking him as Mr. McMahon slapped the mat in approval. Marella did not take this lightly and he began throwing kicks to the back of Dykstra’s legs. He then finished it off with a kick to the gut, then DDT’d Kenny to the mat. Dykstra barely kicked out, but Marella stayed on top of him, not letting him get anything in. Marella kicked him around the ring for a few minutes, then he got Dykstra in a waist lock from behind. Dykstra then saw his hole and lifted his leg up, connecting with a kick straight between the legs of the Intercontinental Champion. They fought on the outside for a while before they forced their way back into the ring. Umaga then took Lashley down with a huge series of headbutts, then headed up to the top rope for a big splash. He came flying off the ropes, but Lashley moved at the last second and Umaga splattered in the middle of the ring. Lashley then set up for the Spear, but at that moment Randy Orton ran out to ringside. Lashley went to get Orton, which allowed Umaga to recover. Haas then worked on the bad back of Ric Flair, and he looked for the Haas of Pain to put Flair away, but he was unsuccessful. Flair then turned the tide with a classic Flair eye poke, then dropped Haas with an atomic drop. Flair then started strutting with Haas’ leg in his hand, then locked in his Figure Four Leglock. Haas was in pain as Benjamin tried to reach him to drag him to the ropes, but he was unsuccessful and Haas was forced to tap out. Just when it looked like Melina was ready to meet her head on, she stepped back and tagged in her partner Victoria. Mickie and Victoria then continued the fast paced action that they started last week, but this time Victoria was getting the best of it. Mickie quickly tagged out to Torrie to see if she would have anymore luck. She quickly found out she didn’t, and Victoria and Melina isolated her in the corner. After a few minutes of beatdown, Torrie almost made it to Mickie, but she was dropkicked off the apron by Victoria. Victoria then picked up Torrie over her shoulder, and Melina walked over, and they hit the Snapshot on Torrie, and Melina picked up the victory. He referee then told Edge to get the match rolling, so Edge came to the middle of the ring to challenge Michaels to a test of strength. Michaels accepted, and when Edge took his hand he quickly stepped on the toes of Michaels, then leveled him with a big clothesline. Edge then stayed on offense for quite some time, as Michaels looked like he was going to fight back, but Edge would keep the advantage time after time. The turning point came when Edge whipped Michaels off the ropes, but instead of running innocently into him, Michaels caught him with a flying forearm. HBK then nipped up, and Edge knew he was in trouble. Edge went for the big right hand, but he missed and Michaels hit him with the scoop slam. Michaels then headed up top, where he looked around, then drove his elbow into the heart of Edge with a picture perfect elbow drop from the top. Michaels then decided it was time to tune up the band. He started stomping his foot, and when Edge arose he uncoiled with the Sweet Chin Music, but Edge ducked underneath it. When Michaels turned around Edge was charging at him and he caught him with a huge Spear. Edge then covered him, and in three short seconds, Edge was the number one contender at Judgment Day. Just as he was about to exit the ring the music of the WWE Champion John Cena echoed around the arena, and the champ appeared on the entrance ramp. The two men then had a heated staredown, much like they have in Raw’s past. Raw then went off the air with both men looking very focused, and ready to go at it like they have so many times before. I think the last time I heard someone call Venis ruthless was in 1995..hehe Good thing Dykstra won the belt, I just can't get into Marella. They didn't make me care irl and you certainly didn't either. Keep up the good work, it's a very interesting and believable diary.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah, I'm a real big fan of Kenny, but Santino probably would not have lost the belt so quick, but he made me mad. In the first three shows he no showed Raw and was late to ECW. Good first impressions huh?

The action will be fast paced this week, as there will be the match between Rob Van Dam and Snitsky, where Van Dam is trying to get revenge for what the monster did to his friend Sabu last week. Also CM Punk has promised to pick apart the New Breed one-by-one. He got his start last week defeating Kevin Thorn, now this week he faces off with the muscle behind the New Breed, Marcus Cor Von. And in a main event ordered by Mr. McMahon, Bobby Lashley will face off with ECW Original Stevie Richards. You have to wonder, is that all there is to this match, or does Mr. McMahon have something much more harsh than Stevie Richards in store for Lashley. Tune into Sci Fi tonight to find out the answer to that.

Joey Styles Welcome to the campus of the Kansas State Wildcats and another edition of ECW on the Sci Fi Network. We are in store for some great action tonight, as Rob Van Dam is looking to gain a measure of revenge on that monster Snitsky for his friend Sabu. Also CM Punk continues his crusade against the New Breed as he takes on the muscle behind the group, Marcus Cor Von. And in our main event, Mr. McMahon has made a matchup between Bobby Lashley and ECW Original Stevie Richards. Tazz Something fishy is going on there Styles. RVD quickly found out that he could not chop down the tree in one quick hack, as Snitsky caught him once after a series of kicks and heaved him half way across the ring. Snitsky then starting hitting RVD with clubbing blows and big kicks, which left the ECW Original on the ropes. After a couple minutes of punishment Snitsky said that it’s over, then charged at RVD for the big boot, but Van Dam ducked it, then rolled Snitsky up in a very unique pinning predicament and surprisingly came away with the three count with it. CM Punk I have promised you all that I would go through the New Breed one by one, and tonight I plan on continuing that plan. You all saw me take out Kevin Thorn last week, and this week will be no picnic, but I will come out victorious after the so called Alpha Male. Cor Von just looked at Punk and wiped off his face, then leveled Punk with a big clothesline. Cor Von then dominated Punk for a few minutes, hitting multiple clotheslines and fallaway slams. The Alpha Male then picked Punk up for a big press slam, but CM Punk slipped out from behind and hit a huge dropkick right between Cor Von’s shoulder blades. Punk then took a step back as Cor Von tried to catch his breath, and Punk wound up and took Cor Von down with a big roundhouse kick to the back of the head. Punk forced Cor Von up and hit a series of backhand chops and slaps, then got the Alpha Male off his feet with a eurenagi. Punk then locked in the Anaconda Vice, and Cor Von had no other choice but to tap out or have his arm broken, much like Kevin Thorn last week. The audience can’t hear what Burke is saying, but he is yelling so hard at the Alpha Male that his beads in his dreadlocks are clapping loudly as he is going off. Cor Von finally has enough and just walks by Burke as he continues to yell at him from behind. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer versus Matt Striker and Kevin Thorn The New Breed made their presence known for the second match in a row, but this time they hoped to be a little more successful than Marcus Cor Von was. Sandman tried to use his Singapore cane early on Striker, but the referee took it away. The four men were frequently in the ring at the same time brawling, but at one point Thorn got knocked out of the ring, and the Originals had Matt Striker alone in the ring. He tried to escape, but it was to no avail, and Sandman and Dreamer went to town on him. They hit him with huge punches, and they finished it off with a double DDT. As they then went towards Thorn his cane flew into vision as he swung it upwards towards the ring and nailed Sandman in the face with it. He then pulled Dreamer out of the ring. Matt Striker then started to come to and he rolled over onto Sandman, and the New Breed got the victory. Lashley then left the ring and started looking around, sniffing for any trap that the McMahon’s may have set. He could not find any, and he got into the ring as Richards started getting back up to his feet. Lashley then lifted Richards over his head and press slammed him out of the ring. Lashley then started yelling for McMahon and Orton to show their faces, but they never did. Before the ref could count Richards out Lashley went back out and threw him back in the ring. Mr. McMahon then stood in the entrance way, taunting Lashley. Lashley then got out of the ring and gave chase to McMahon who was running for his life. They ran through the curtain, and the camera followed them into the back. They ran into the garage, and Lashley backed McMahon into a dead end, and had him pinned up against a wall. Then all of a sudden Randy Orton emerged from behind a car with a lead pipe in his hand. He swung it with all his might and caught Lashley right in the back of the head with it, dropping him in a heap in front of Mr. McMahon. McMahon then got down in Lashley’s bloody face and yelled that he would never get close to the ECW Title again as the crowd looked on in shock. FINAL RATING: C

London’s style shot him in the foot though when he came off the top with a cross body, but he was hit with a big dropkick. The crowd was going crazy at this great match they were witnessing, but that was quickly brought down when Chavo finally got an advantage with a poke in the eyes. He then proceeded to suplex Benoit around the ring. After Chavo hit the Three Amigos he went up top for the Frog Splash, and when he flew off Benoit rolled out of the way and Chavo went crashing into the mat. Benoit then hit a series of German Suplexes on Guerrero, then motioned it was time to go up top. When he reached the top rope someone emerged on the apron and threw Benoit off onto the floor. Boogeyman worked his way back to his feet, and Kennedy went and retrieved Boogeyman’s stick, and planed to use it. The referee then took it from Kennedy and walked it over to the timekeepers table. While he had his back turned Kennedy then retrieved the Money in the Bank briefcase and leveled The Boogeyman with it. He then covered him just as the referee turned around and got the victory. No, no, no….I’ve got much more on my mind then that. You all saw Kane come out during my time last week, and Kane, I really don’t appreciate that at all. These fans hang on my every word, and you have to deprive them of the one thing that they want, to hear me speak. Now onto the charges that I was a sissy and ran…what would you do in that situation? I had just had a grueling match, do you expect me to stand toe to toe with Kane after that? Forget about it, it’s a thing called self-preservation. It’s the reason that I will be a title holder here in the WWE in the next eleven months…it’s why I’m the greatest thing that WWE has going today. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jimmy Wang Yang versus Gregory Helms This was a match that Jimmy Wang Yang tried to dictate with his great speed, but Gregory Helms was having none of it as he ground Yang, not letting him get his high risk offense rolling. Helms kept him grounded with a variety of uncomfortable looking submission holds working on the legs of Yang. Jimmy looked to break out once as he took Helms down with a flying forearm, but Helms regained control with an Inverted DDT out of nowhere on Yang. Helms kept control for a couple more minutes until he said it was over. He doubled Yang over with a kick to the gut, then stepped back and charged looking for the Shining Wizard, but Yang ducked and Helms hit the mat hard. Yang then climbed the ropes as Helms recovered, and Yang hit a big Moonsault onto the standing Helms and got the upset victory. But just as he turns a corner he is jumped by somebody from behind. It is then revealed to be William Regal, and he is slamming Finlay’s head into anything he can find. Regal yells that he should be in the match, not Finlay, and he leaves him down and out as Smackdown goes to a commercial, the main event very much up in the air. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Undertaker versus Finlay World Heavyweight Championship Match Finlay, being the tough individual that he is, limped his way out to the ring, not about to pass up this opportunity to become World Champion for the first time in his long career. He looked on as The Undertaker came out, and the two locked horns early, with Undertaker having the decided advantage due to Finlay being injured at the hands of William Regal. Undertaker was having no problem dispatching Finlay, and he looked to put him away early with a Tombstone, but then Batista made his way to ringside. Undertaker knew he couldn’t interfere due to the stipulation from Teddy Long, but it still got his attention. He put Finlay down, and he focused on Batista. Then all of a sudden Hornswoggle snuck into the ring and handed Finlay his shillelagh and left the way he came in. Finlay then snuck up on Taker and took him out at the knees with it. He then pinned Taker, but only got the two count. Finlay then looked on in shock as The Undertaker sat right up and stared him in the eyes. Finlay started throwing punches at Taker, but he caught him by the throat and Chokeslamed him. He then lifted him up for the Tombstone, pointed at Batista, and dropped Finlay on his head and got the successful title defense. Then all of a sudden Undertaker flashes Batista a look over his shoulder, and Batista takes a step back. The two men then stand face to face, and when Undertaker challenges Batista to hit him, Batista says no thanks and backs out of the ring. Batista then backs down the aisle, pointing and yelling warnings at The Undertaker as Smackdown goes off the air. FINAL RATING: B

News
World Wrestling Entertainment is proud to announce the new annual pay-per-view event, WWE Night of Champions. This show will replace ECW One Night Stand on the schedule of WWE events. This pay-per-view will be very unique as there will be eight matches, and every one of those matches will be for a WWE Championship. All three brands will be represented, and it will surely be a night that no one will soon forget. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In other news, WWE has announced that they have signed Ricky Banderas to a developmental contract. He is expected to report to Ohio Valley Wrestling at the end of the week. Banderas will be replacing a couple stars that WWE has on the block to call up to the main roster in the coming weeks. Batista sounded more heelish this time and I really like it. That's one hell of a tough brawl incoming between Finaly and Regal. 3 cheers for the Jimmy Wang Yang win, I love this gimmick. It's so funny in many wrong ways. :D

Very, very bad news. Catastrophy has hit my dynasty. I've been having computer problems so I was uninstalling TEW05 to free up alot of room, but I must have zigged when I should have zagged and my whole GDS folder got deleted. Luckily my liscense was okay and I have the game again, but all my data got deleted. So yeah, it sucks, but there's nothing I can do about it. I'm sorry but there is no way that I can keep it going. Right now I'm trying to figure out what to do next. Possibly myself and Nimo34 will do a multiplayer, maybe I will do CornellVerse, or possibly I will do a Japanese promotion. So thanks for reading, and again, I'm really really sorry, but it's out of my control. I was planning on keeping this one around for a very long time, it was the most fun I ever had with a dynasty, so I pretty much feel like an idiot. So look for something from me in the next couple of days, and pardon me while I go dropkick my computer through a window.
