2008 GDS Watchlist: What they did in 2007 Alicia Strong: Joined 5SSW's Tour in August and won almost every match. At the end of 5SSW's first tour, Alicia worked for CWWF where she won the Universal Championship on her debut match. She is now back on tour with 5SSW. Record is 29 Wins, 3 Draws, 7 Losses Angry Gilmore: A SWF Regular. Started the year by defending the Tag Titles right up until June when Joe Sexy left. Following Sexy's departure, Gilmore began singles action, defeating the likes of Big Smack Scott, and Sam Keith. In September he joined BHOTWG under his real name and managed to pick up 8 wins out of 11. Joining BHOTWG must have annoyed Richard Eisen as since September SWF have been pitting him against Eric Eisen again and again. Black Eagle: As Plague, he was mediocre at CZCW. 6 Wins, 6 Losses. In October he signed on to be a part of WLW's Radioactive tour. While he could win some singles matches, he just couldn't up his game enough for the 6-man matches he was frequently put in. He ended the tour at 6 Wins, 16 Losses Brent Hill: The Wrestling Machines started the year off defending the titles against Painful Procedure, until in June they finally lost them. After the titles went, the team became a little more hit and miss with there wins, with Brent Hill getting more singles matches than tag. In December, the focus was back on tag matches and The Machines have lost their last 3 matches. British Samurai: Seems to have shaken off his Cornell Syndrome, winning only half his matches this year. He faced UK Dragon 3 times this year for the Championship, losing each time. Eddie Peak: Peak reigned DaVE right up till September when Jack Giedroyc finally dethroned him after 13 defences. Tried twice to get the belt back and was then thrown in tag matches. Eric Tyler: Possibly one of DaVE's top workers consistantly getting B- ratings. Tyler manages to get 2 or 3 wins in a row before finally getting beaten by someone he beat the week before He ended the year in title contention facing Jack Giedroyc for the Unified Championship. Human Arsenal: The Machines matches have already been spoken about. Arsenal has been given more of a chance to shine than his partner racking up 23 wins to Brents 19, but he also racked up more losses so its pretty even.. I dont think either of them are going up or down the card any time soon. Jack Bruce: Had a massive start to 2007 with an 8 match winning streak which management decided would be ended by Sam Keith. Bruce wasn't happy and left for NOTBPW. In his 28 matches there this year, he won 19 of them. Jack Griffith: Barely able to get in 2 matches a month at TCW, he still managed to win 2/3rds of his matches, even defeating The Machines with Giant Tana. Joey "Freakin'" Minnesota: Worked at DaVE right up until July when TCW came knocking. DaVE bookers decided on his last night that Joey would job to Hector Galindo. In TCW, Joey sits in the midcard, winning a few matches, and then losing a few. Mabuchi Furusawa: Poor guy only got 2 matches last year as part of PGHW Lost Cause tour (kinda appropriate i feel). The first was against Jack Marlowe, and the other was a 3v3 tag match. Furusawa was on the losing side of both. Marihito Masuko: Started the year defending the Burning Junior Championship which he held till March when he lost it to Dark Angel. Since then he has become another that strings together a few wins, then goes on a losing streak. 10 wins, 10 losses Matt Sparrow: Sparrow is apparently Plague's plaything at CZCW beating him a number of times. However in December, he was given a chance for the Coastal Zone Extreme title against Insane Machine which he won. He joined NYCW in October winning his first 2 matches against the retiring Lee Wright. Suzanne Brazzle: Suzanne didn't start the year off well, having to wait until Marcg for her first win. However after that she built a 6 win streak only to be beaten by former watchlist member Cherry Bomb. After the loss she is building up the streak again. In October she became the head booker of CWWF and has been winning all her matches there ever since. Sensational Dragon: The guy is literally on fire. 49 matches with BHOTWG and he has won 39 of them. Made 21 defences of the Burning Junior Championship since May until October when he lost it for a week. Upon regaining it, he has made 9 defences. Sensational Ogiwara: This year has had 76 matches, and won 52 of them. Won the 5 Star World Championship off Thunder Hike in May and has since made 19 defences on her 8th Reign. Shooter Sean Deeley: Had 1 match in CGC before NOTBPW came calling in January and he vacated the CGC Canadian Championship. Sean is another that builds a 4 match streak before losing for a while. He managed to win the NOTBPW Unlimited Action Championship in November from The Natural Steve Flash: Flash started the year in a bit of a lull losing the Tri-State Championship to Puerto Rican Power. However in June he spurred himself on and is now riding a 6 match winning streak. Coming up: 2008 begins. In January we see 2 new promotions open up, DaVE & NOTBPW loses a worker to retirement, and another leaves stable work to tour.

January 2008: General News Promotion News: North Of The Border Pro Wrestling started the year off with a bang. With consistantly selling out shows and B Ratings, it wasn't long before they were being labelled as the only Global wrestling promotion at the moment. Dan Stone took the PR opportunity to lure away new names to his promotion, such as Trent Shaffer, Pat Deacon, Bobby Thomas & Davis Wayne Newton. With Sean McFly, Johnny Bloodstone & Duane & Jeremy Stone putting on A grade matches, the future is looking rosy in Canada. Meanwhile over in the land of the rising sun, the little Japanese promotion World Level Wrestling grows. Not content with being a regional fed, they have expanded into a cult promotion and sent out feelers for new workers. American Elemental, Tsugiharu Odaka, Tsurayuki Kamachi & Mabuchi Furusawa have all accepted work there Heading back over to the America's again, and 2 new promotions have been announced as starting up. The first is Queens Of American Wrestling, based out of New England offering puro style action and forgoing the entertainment aspect that AAA has. The other promotion is Mexican Hardcore Wrestling, based out of Northern Mexico. MHW are offering a more Hardcore version of Lucha Libre and promise lots of blood. With these new promotions starting up, some of the older ones are having a bit of a shakeup. With Hirokazu Yamanoue leaving SAISHO, the position of Head Booker has been given to Akikazu (Mr) Miyagi, one of Japan's main referees. 5SSW also gain some stability after Kuniyoshi Chishu was removed for poor performance as their booker. They replace him with Yodo Nakane, more commonly known as Fujiyama The Samurai. With all the news about SWF's problems, you could begin to start seeing patterns with other promotions. Today CBA & GNN Total Sports have pulled TCW off the air, citing poor ratings. This leaves Tommy Cornell without a show. Could this be the start of TCW's slump, but with networks scheduling soon, i doubt they will be off air long. Worker News: Perhaps it was too much bubbly at the New Years Celebrations & all the glory tales that came along with that but we have 3 retirees this month. The first is Seiko Nanami, one of Japan's most powerful womens wrestlers but was never able to win a title. The second was Sam Keith. The 4-Time SWF Champion and former Head Booker joined NOTBPW in September for a last dance in the limelight and will now be backstage as their Road Agent. The final retiree is the 2-Time CGC World Champion & 5-Time DaVE Unified Champion Eric Tyler. Tyler claims that his time in the ring is at an end, but he wont be leaving completely. In fact rumour has it that he is heading into managerial roles. Coming Up: Who Wins What From Whom? Its Title Changes next. In Part 3, we see who moved where, and in Part 4 we see how the Watchlist fared this month.

February 2008: General News America's new promotion, Queens Of American Wrestling had its owner announced this month at a press conference that turned into quite an anti climax. Former WEXXV worker Gareth Wayne came forward saying he was the backer and had hired Ray Johnson as his Head Booker. Days later El Critico announced that Mexican Hardcore Wrestling was his promotion and that Luchador Original was his Head Booker.. Im not sure anybody really cared though. Looking back a year, SWF had a pretty decent lineup.. Today SWF have decided to push Zimmy Bumfhole to the main event spot along with the likes of Eric Eisen & Elmo Benson following the departure of Steve Frehley. TCW get a new TV show this month meaning that they will only be off the air for a few weeks. The new show, Modern Day Warriors is to air on The Pop! Network next season. In Japan, WLW continues its growth by securing a new PPV deal. The 12 month contract with J-Remote 1 should help bolster its popularity in its home country. Finally, In Canada, one of their most popular womens workers decided to call time in the ring. According to rumours, there is trouble in the McFly-Stone residence and Victoria Stone is stepping down from active competition to support her husband. Coming Up: Title Changes
[I]Sorry it took a while to get that entry up. I have had to cut down my computer work due to an injury.
