Yeah...I actually quite like the idea of connecting ideas from diary to diary, as I know you've done with Monkeypox regarding Acid. But I don't think Morgan would have been allied with Ota in 2009, so I can promise you it's not him!
I think Dragonmack is a revolutionary for this. I'm going trying to do more of that when it's appropriate - I think if we C-Versers have the occasional bits of cross-diary character continuity, it does a lot to create the feeling of an actual game universe without seriously compromising indidvidual flexibility. Unfortunately, I don't have many Euro workers so it's hard to poach ideas from you, as deserving as this dynasty is - there's a lot here to steal! And I'm not allowed to use women, so I can't borrow Muffin from J Silver...

An A-rated match in ROF  Well done, in fact very well done considering the size of the promotion. On a personal note I did get all the predictions right for once :) Surprised to see Stoat go but in a lot of ways I think he had run his course for now. Too good really for the Talisman title, not quite good enough for the ROF Championship.

The card will consist of 4 matches – each ROF title will be defended and there will be a further battle royal match to determine the King of the Ring. But it will be a battle royal with a twist. The match will consist of 15 men, with 2 entering the ring first and then every two minutes a further wrestler entering until all men are in the ring. Eliminations will be over the top rope until only 4 men are left in the match. At that point, the bell will ring and the match will change to eliminations only being possible by pinfall or submission. The last man standing will be King of the Ring. Signed for the event so far is UK Dragon vs Merle O’Curle for the ROF Championship, Billy Robinson vs Kevin Jones for the ROF Talisman Title, and G-Force vs Warriors of Honour for the ROF tag titles. 5 men have thus far signed up for the King of the Ring match itself. These include Johnny Highspot and Jonni Lowlife, who make up the High and Low team. Also in the match will be JD Morgan and Don Henderson. And finally, ROF is pleased to announce that former star Adam Matravers will make his return to the promotion in this match. Some ROF fans have mentioned that both the title of the event ‘King of the Ring’ and the match format – wrestlers entering a battle royal every 2 minutes – seem eerily familiar. As far as we can tell, the only place these things have occurred is in a fairly popular wrestling computer game called WET (Wrestling Excludes Talent) which features the fictional McMahonverse. The proper show preview will appear when all the contestants in the King of the Ring match have been determined.

Woooo - Adam Matravers returns (mark out moment) Fantastic achievement - getting an A rated match in the UK is something to behold. With the addition of Matravers you're gonna have a very strong main event scene soon. G-Force as tag team champs should help you build up the division.

I think I've found a good way to balance the 6-match cards out that gets the ratings moving upwards to the final match. Dragon and Stones don't even have anything but neutral chemistry that could have given them a boost. But the match ratings for the main event have been gradually improving. The difficulty now will be keeping them up there! As for Stevie Stoat...I actually couldn't resign him, because he wanted more money than Samurai was willing to pay. He's quite over through his work with 21CW. Jobbing him down to the Talisman level was really a way to try and get his overness decreased a little without doing it ridiculously in the hope I could get his wage demands down a bit to resign him, but it wasn't to be. But as you said, he'd sort of run his course in this run at least. I'll give it a little while and see if I can bring him back in the future. You're right - he's not quite strong enough in the ring to carry the ball with the ROF title, but he's a bit too strong in terms of UK recognition for the Talisman belt.

Had to wait quite a bit since he left 21CW because we weren't big enough for him, but his overness has dropped a bit. I'm a bit ahead in-game as opposed to the diary, and G-Force has proved to be a good team, but the tag division is the part of the promotion I'm having troubles with. It's been strong before (mainly when The Shooters were there) but it's at a bit of a lull at the moment while I try to figure out who to use and in which combination (I've been searching for chemistry matches without much success). Thankfully G-Force and Warriors of Honour give me 2 good teams to build around at the moment. And on a side-note, good to see you reading the diary! :)
Man, does that sound familiar...
Yeah, I've noticed you having issues in that department! :p To be honest, my division is okay. As I mentioned, G-Force and the Warriors are 2 really good teams (for a promotion like ROF) and either can carry the division as champs, but I don't really have many other realistic challengers. Future X are having problems, The Tribe and Sharp & Heath are perennial jobbers, Absolutely Flawless have turned into much the same. High and Low and Par Excellence are doing okay, but I think its obvious they aren't at the same level as the 2 main teams. I'd prefer a tag division that's unpredictable because the teams are predominantly similar standards. I don't have that right now.
Yeah, I've noticed you having issues in that department! :p
I'll live, but mostly thanks to my show structure. (And the fact that people keep either asking for far too much to keep, getting pushed, or signing to SOTBPW which runs the same day as me means that every time I get my feet on the ground it's time to be exasperated all over again...) Part of the problem is that the obvious thing to do is build around the Shooters, but they're so very useful as solo performers that that isn't necessarily wise.

Future X member Petey Barnes will be taking part, as will ROF’s talented rookie Nigel Svensson. Rolling Johnny Stones, who so nearly won the ROF title last month at Inferno, has signed up for the bout. A guest wrestler and friend of UK Dragon, Insane Machine (who wrestles for WLW and CZCW), will be adding some foreign flavour to the match. And Short Fuse regular Sander Laine from Hungary gets the biggest break of his career so far by participating in this one.

I started by building around Future X, but I know Barnes is in your main event, so that's not great for you. The Shooters were my main team to build around, but mainly because by then I was using Walter Morgan and Petey Barnes as my main midcard belt holders. Again, because of the Dragon/O'Curle difficulties you've had, you've got them up in the main event. The only other thing I'd suggest is try out different combinations in your dark matches and hope you luck out with chemistry. That's basically what put British Samurai & Glen Ward (Dan Judoka) together in my game. Team chemistry can work wonders in ROF.

And the field is rounded out by ‘The Law’ Keith Adams and Future X member Eric Future. It has also been announced that the winner of the King of the Ring match will automatically receive the title shot at the next major show, adding more prestige and incentive to the match.

ROF Talisman Title Billy Robinson © vs Kevin Jones Jones might win this belt eventually but I think Robinson holds onto this belt for at-least another month ROF Tag Team Titles G-Force © vs Warriors of Honour G-Force get the traditional two vs two victory, to legitimise their place as the Tag Team champions. The King of the Ring match: Involving Adam Matravers, Don Henderson, Eric Future, Insane Machine, Jack Giedroyc, JD Morgan, Johnny Highspot, Jonni Lowlife, Keith Adams, Nigel Svensson, Petey Barnes, Razor Valentine, Rolling Johnny Stones, Sander Laine and Walter Morgan I’m going to preview this competitor by competitor Adam Matravers- Was a star in his first stint with ROF and has the skill levels to be a good addition to the main event scene. Would provide both a fresh and legitimate challenger for the ROF Championship. Don Henderson- An established ROF mid-carder, there’s a slim chance he could pull out a shock win (as he wouldn’t be terrible in an ROF title match), but that’s highly unlikely. Eric Future- Having problems holding together his tag team with Petey Barnes I can see them eliminating each other leading to further problems between the two. Insane Machine- Only here as a guest and not really over enough in the U.K to warrant a title shot without any build towards earning one. Jack Giedroyc- Like Insane Machine he’s here on a guest appearance, but he is a British native and you could always bring him in for another guest appearance to challenge for the belt, but whilst I think he’ll look strong and could well make it to the final 4, I don’t see him winning. By the way love the Wrath of God render  JD Morgan- Another legitimate threat and his recent wins over surname namesake Walter seems to have arrested his recent slide. Is one more run in the offing for JD or does his recent mini resurgence end here ? Johnny Highspot- You’ve never pushed him as anything more than a mid-carder (and mainly in the Tag ranks) so I don’t see him winning. What I wouldn’t mind seeing is a more focused singles run from Highspot, with the high-flyer challenging for the Talisman belt. Jonni Lowlife- The weaker link of the High-Low tag team, likely to be an early elimination. Keith Adams- Sorry to say this but Adams has been a flop in ROF and I don’t see him reversing his fortunes here. Nigel Svensson- Showing promise as a talented rookie and if groomed right might be in position to challenge at the Talisman Title level sometime during next year. But I can see the remainder of this year will be Svensson getting a hands on in-ring education. Petey Barnes- 2009 has been a troubled year for the former Talisman and Tag Team champion. Unable to get any momentum going in the singles ranks and his tag team is starting to crumble apart. As I said I can see Barnes and Future eliminating one another, furthering the problems between the pair. Razor Valentine- I think if anyone is going to step up from the mid-card level and pull off the surprise win, I think it will be Razor. Having said that I think one of the established main eventer’s or returning big-stars will be the King of the Ring. Rolling Johnny Stones- Another one who has the credentials to be considered a possible contender to win the King of the Ring. But he has already had a couple of title shots of late, and something tells me that though he will have a strong showing he won’t be the winner. Sander Laine- Still only a rookie, the most unlikely to win out of all of the competitors. Walter Morgan- 2009 has been a coming out party for Walter, who despite being unable to win the ROF championship thus far has established himself in the main event scene. It’s been a few months now since his last title shot, so it might be an idea to give him another bite at the cherry. I can see one of the Morgan’s eliminating the other during the match to add further spice to their recent rivalry. Ultimately my prediction is this Final 4: Adam Matravers, Jack Giedroyc, J.D Morgan, Walter Morgan Winner: Adam Matravers ROF Championship UK Dragon © vs Merle O’Curle I agree with Dragonmack that something like a time limit draw could be an interesting way to keep the belt on Dragon. The draw would keep both Dragon and O’Curle looking strong, but at the same time would add a degree of vulnerability to Dragon’s spot at the top of the ROF mountain.

And here now... the counter-point to Tigerkinney's insightful post. ROF Talisman Title Billy Robinson © vs Kevin Jones - I really like the resurgence of Kevin Jones as a Real Wrestler but until he finds a finisher better than a (Shane Douglas approved) belly to belly suplex I can't in good faith give him the victory. ROF Tag Team Titles G-Force © vs Warriors of Honour - unless one Gauge or the other is heading for greener pastures, I can't see G-Force (and really, G-Force needs to feud with the Force) dropping them yet or WoH regaining the title. Unless BritSam calls 'owner's perogative.' The King of the Ring match Involving Adam Matravers, Don Henderson, Eric Future, Insane Machine, Jack Giedroyc, JD Morgan, Johnny Highspot, Jonni Lowlife, Keith Adams, Nigel Svensson, Petey Barnes, Razor Valentine, Rolling Johnny Stones, Sander Laine and Walter Morgan - I mulled over a wrestler by wrestler recap but I don't know all of them and tigerkinney covered it well enough. For me it breaks down to this. If Giedroyc gets to wear his magnificient helmet he wins, otherwise I'm gonna go with my current favourite Walter Morgan (who I think is your next big star.) ROF Championship UK Dragon © vs Merle O’Curle - could easily go either way. Dragon's run has been much longer than I expected and his jet setting has to be taking its toll on him, but I feel O'Curle's time at top is over for now. If Stoat was still around I'd call for him to cause a Double DQ - but since he's not Dragon Drop in a hard fought battle.
