I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, here, but... I've been checking in on this dynasty a little more regularly since the appearance of you know who... but even in the bast case I rarely make it on more than once or twice a week so I'm always playing catch-up and have to read multiple shows at once (which I recommend for all but the most overlong dynasties - thinking me and Tigerkinney, here, and I love me some Tigerkinney but reading three of those shows in a row can take an hour)... Anyhow... This dynasty is really good. Top shelf, as good as anything out there. Just thought I'd say so, since I hadn't yet. I moved this from "read whenever I can" to "must read every show". Very nice effort. Ok, time to catch up on fanmail...
Congrats on that A* I know how sweet that first ( and for me so far only ) one is.! :D
Yeah, I was dead chuffed when A* popped up, not only because it was my first but also because the King of the Ring show is more difficult to get a good rating on because the battle royale will never score as well as a straight singles match between main event wrestlers. So for JD and Merle to pull an A* at the top of that show was great, because it's a show I like giving more build-up to and the final rating might not reflect that otherwise.
Oh well my King of the Ring prediction was totally out....at least I had Stones in the final four :D Well done on getting the A* match, the first one is always the most special.
Thanks. Don't care that your prediction was out - I enjoyed your wrestler by wrestler run-down. It gives me a good insight on where people see the different wrestlers.
This dynasty is really good. Top shelf, as good as anything out there. Just thought I'd say so, since I hadn't yet. I moved this from "read whenever I can" to "must read every show". Very nice effort.
Thanks, mate. I appreciate the comments. I'm just going to be reluctant to do one of my interview segments with Jack given the hard act to follow you are! :)
played phanton om noticing walter and billy wasn't blancked out on the pic with the strange writing... and know there in a match against each other im really looking forward to this, keep it coming marcel it's awesome

Cheers. I have this image of Marcel sat there going 'I go to all this trouble and no one sees it...'
LOL. It's really not much trouble blanking out a couple of faces! :D But yes, I'm glad someone noticed, although it probably now means you'll read far too much into it and be disappointed by the whole thing! :p Just fancied doing something different with a debut, and with my angle-less ROF the 'website' seemed a good place to do it. It's sparked some interest anyway. Talking of which...thanks to everyone for all the recent predictions and comments. Nice to know people are still reading and enjoying, even 40-odd pages in.

Billy Robinson vs Walter Morgan I think Robinson needs another big win, to establish himself amongst the main event ranks. Walter's also one of those guys, who can take a set-back, brush it off and not look any weaker for it. ROF Tag Team Titles Can-Am SAS © vs The Show Stealers Not time for the Can-Am SAS to lose the titles just yet Greg Gauge vs UK Dragon Could be a good gauge to see how far the American has come, but I think the more experienced Dragon takes it. Jack Giedroyc vs Seraphym I agree with Monkeypox, 'Skeletor Redux' :D as he called him, will find some kind of underhanded way to win. ROF Talisman Title Hugh de Aske © vs Don Henderson The pirate keeps his unbeaten run going ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs Rolling Johnny Stones This will be another classic, but I'm going to stick to my guns that it won't be one of the usual suspects (Stones, The Morgan's, Dragon) who takes the belt off O'Curle.
Our intrepid reporter was given a job this week – to interview the man making most strides in ROF in the last few months. Justin Blackham decided that must mean Billy Robinson – and who are we to argue. JB: Billy, it’s a while since I interviewed you, and plenty has happened in your career since then. BR: Yeah, it has. I was wondering when I might get the recognition I deserve. JB: You’ve had some major success here in ROF. Firstly you won 3 tag titles in The Shooters with Don Henderson as your partner… BR: Hang on. Retrace your steps and take out the last 6 words of that sentence. JB: Erm…Firstly you won 3 tag titles in The Shooters. BR: That’s better. JB: Then you won 3 Talisman titles and were an impressive champion. BR: Absolutely. You could say Billy Robinson was ‘So Solid’ as champion. JB: Now it seems you’re setting your sights higher. You got involved in the ROF title picture in the past few months, including a lucky shot at Merle O’Curle at Inferno. BR: Lucky? I don’t see what was lucky about it. JB: Well you did sub for an injured UK Dragon. BR: Yeah, who I’d beaten a few weeks earlier. I should have been in that match in the first place. JB: Probably your best performance in your career so far though came last month at the King of the Ring match. You drew number 1 and lasted through till the final 3. BR: And I shouldn’t have been eliminated. JB: But you passed out. BR: Yeah – the rules stated that eliminations should be by pinfall or submission at that stage. I did neither. JB: Even so, you’ve got to be proud of your success. BR: Success? What success? You know, Blackham, that’s such a typical British view of ‘success’. Glorious failure, huh? Well, that kind of success sucks. Success to me is winning the ROF Championship, and I haven’t achieved that yet. JB: No. Talking of which, your match against Walter Morgan at Light Up The Night should be a good one. After all, it was he who made you pass out at King of the Ring, and a win against him would really raise your status and title credentials. BR: Of course it will be a good one – Billy Robinson is involved. From the moment I stride down the aisle to wake the crowd from their Walter-induced coma to the moment my hand is raised in victory following the Capital City Crucifix, everyone in the arena will realise they are in the company of true greatness and their future champion. JB: Right. Of course some fans are also intrigued by this match because of the fact that both your good self and Walter Morgan are the only two wrestlers not to be blackened out recently on the website banner. Can you shed any light on this? Are you behind the messages? BR: Don't you think I have better things to do with my life than spend time putting messages on websites, Blackham. London’s female population creates great demands on my time, you know! But I’ll tell you this… JB: What? BR: I have it on good authority that Walter Morgan went to church last weekend. JB: So? BR: So put two and two together, Blackham, that’s all I’m saying. JB: Moving on then. What’s with the hair? BR: How do you mean? JB: You’re a bit of a chameleon when it comes to appearance. BR: Hey, there’s nothing funny about how I look. JB: No, I said chamel…never mind. Weren’t you happy being ginger? BR: Ginger? GINGER? My hair was copper, Blackham. I just fancied a change, that’s all. You know, how some of us have style and some of us don’t. I have style and I change with the times. You, on the other hand, obviously stay the same. No, I take that back…you regress. JB: Ok. Any last words for Walter Morgan then before your match this week? BR: Walter Morgan…the man whose name sounds like What a Moron, but not quite. The man who doctors are now saying is the world’s single best cure for insomnia. The man whose most impressive achievement was losing the Talisman Title to ‘So Solid’ Billy Robinson back in 2008. Well Walter is now going to surpass that achievement by becoming known as Billy Robinson’s first stepping stone on the way to glory. And that’s a Solid fact.
I kind of like doing the interviews to flesh out the characters and build up some feuds etc that way, but they're just time consuming, especially with a more specific character like de Aske. But I'll try to include a few more of them in the near future. I'm almost tempted to push the Martin brothers simply because they're my favourites to do an interview segment about! :D Justin Blackham too much ability for the 2nd brand? Haven't commented in awhile Marcel, but been reading. Excellent job as always. I like what you're doing with the "Who's Coming to ROF/gothic promo". Can't wait to see who it is. I have never considereed bringing in Marat (though truthfully he's never been available). How does he grade out in a match with him and O'Curle? or Walter Morgan?
Great diary as always (haven't commented in awhile). I've never contemplated bringing in Marat (never available). How does he grade out in a match against O'Curle or W Morgan. Can't wait to see who the latest addition to the roster is! Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the comment. Marat...well I brought him in for some 'star power' in the King of the Ring match. He was a free agent, so I just signed him on a short term deal. But then we started up the second brand, so I thought I'd give him a couple of matches on there to test him out, as I wasn't sure whether he'd fit in and get any kind of match ratings. So to answer your question...I'm not sure. He's not gone up against the star names just yet.

ROF Napalm Nightmare – November 2010 *** Marat going from King of the Fighters to... Giant of the Midlands who's not ready for RoF prime time is priceless. What?! No Puffy the Psalms of Ireland Prayer? Dammit that poll is a hoax! *** Kevin Jones vs Nigel Svensson - I still like Kevin Jones but until he shows a finisher more impressive than the Shane Douglas Memorial Belly to Belly I refuse to predict a win for him above anyone other than the Martins. ROF Talisman Title Hugh de Aske © vs Dan Judoka - I'm not ready for Dan Judoka... singles Judo star... and I doubt RoF fans are either. Back to the tag ranks with you Danno. Billy Robinson vs Walter Morgan - I want to pick Walter but a win here would almost cement Robinson's spot near the top of RoF, whereas Walter is pretty much one match between JD or UK Dragon away from being considered a threat again. ROF Tag Team Titles The Show Stealers © vs Can-Am SAS - based on three criteria. One - I like the Can-Am SAS, two - this is the only title change I'm predicting and three - it adds an air of parity and unknown to the tag ranks which could give it some shine. Jack Giedroyc vs UK Dragon - ironically I think Giedroyc needs this more and is suddenly more RoF than Dragon due to the WLW cloud of the unknown national contracts hanging over UK Dragon. ROF Championship Rolling Johnny Stones © vs Merle O’Curle - if Stones drops it back he might as well ask UK Dragon for a reference letter to WLW.
OOC: any chance of another roster update website style including Mark 2?
I'll do a roster update at the end of the calendar year, which isn't too far away.
ROF Napalm Nightmare – November 2010 *** Marat going from King of the Fighters to... Giant of the Midlands who's not ready for RoF prime time is priceless. What?! No Puffy the Psalms of Ireland Prayer? Dammit that poll is a hoax! ***
'Giant of the Midlands' is a great moniker! Yeah, to us British fans Marat is Mister Blister from the UCR lower midcard who got lucky in a match in Japan and then got fired as soon as he lost the title over there. In all seriousness, I just wasn't sure he'd fit in ROF beyond the battle royal match and wasn't intending to keep him around, but thought I might as well use him a couple of times to see how it went. He's actually not too bad and you might see him again down the line. I'm likely to have a couple of guys on the roster in future who are biding their time in dark matches/Mark 2 waiting for their elevation to the main roster. Damn...I forgot to include Puffy on the poll. But then you haven't added him in as your 'other' choice, Beeker, so you can't be that confident! :D Lastly, anyone that hasn't voted on the poll yet, get voting! Out of the apparent 9 ROF fans, Jonathan Faust seems to be the man people think is responsible.
