The crowd then came to life as the tag team champions The Show Stealers came out to face Blue Chip Blondes in a throwback match to ROF 2006! The non-title bout was won by the champions when Barnes nailed a flying elbow on Kelly Martin for the win ... Giedroyc ally JD Morgan battled Dark Angel ally Seraphym next, with Morgan taking out a lot of frustration on the face-painted wrestler and showing he is still a major force here in ROF ... The main event was a prelude to Combustion’s main event. UK Dragon scored a big win by pinning Johnny Stones with the Dragon Drop and giving himself a major momentum boost before the title triple threat match. _______________________________ March Week 2 - IVR 0.46 - Show Rating B- Jack Giedroyc beat Kashmir Singh C Can-Am SAS beat Sharp & Heath C Billy Robinson beat Hugh de Aske B- Merle O’Curle beat Walter Morgan B Jack Giedroyc opened the show to a big pop, although his match with Kashmir Singh suffered from a lack of chemistry. He got the win with a Crashing On, and the announce team covered by talking mainly about the Giedroyc/Angel match at Combustion ... Sharp & Heath did the job to Can-Am SAS, but it was probably the youngsters’ best ever tag match together ... The crowd visibly lifted for the Robinson vs de Aske bout. It was a tight battle, but Robinson just had too much for the pirate on this occasion and got the submission win ... O’Curle and Morgan put on their usual accomplished performance in the non-title main event, with only a lack of selling by both men a sticking point. O’Curle built momentum for Combustion by applying his Celtic Wreath for the submission. ______________________________ March Week 3 - IVR 0.45 - Show Rating B Nigel Svensson beat Casey Valentine C Warriors of Honour beat Par Excellence C+ Dark Angel beat Kevin Jones C+ Johnny Stones drew with JD Morgan B+ Talisman champ Nigel Svensson showed how devastating his Hyper Extension armlock is by defeating Casey Valentine in the non-title opener. Svensson looks in good shape for Combustion ... Warriors of Honour also head to Combustion in form. They beat Par Excellence in a fine bout and Dan Judoka seems to improve every time he gets in the ring ... Dark Angel produced a no-nonsense display to pin the durable Kevin Jones with his Descent Into Hell. He’s looking to finish Jack Giedroyc off once and for all at Combustion ... Johnny Stones failed to get momentum boost for Combustion as he and JD Morgan went to a time limit draw. The two ring veterans traded holds throughout the bout but neither could get the victory before the show went off air.

However he is back on the road towards the ROF title, and will be looking to cement his place back amongst ROF’s elite by beating up-and-comer Billy Robinson here. Robinson had a great end to 2010 by appearing in the main event of Pyromania, but has since lost to Merle O’Curle in singles action and again lost out in last month’s number one contenders match.
Man, that rating shows the difference in our popularity levels all round... My best to date is 0.27.
Well...your show is on Continental Sports and mine is on Euro Cable Sports 1 - which means I'm showing in Scotland and Eastern Europe as well on a slightly larger network. Then again, tv ratings don't really mean a great deal. I'm happy to see when they go up. But really it's just being on tv that's important.

ROF Combustion – March 2011 Billy Robinson vs JD Morgan Robinson's main event push seems to have hit the buffers recently, so I'm going to go for Morgan to take him to school in submission's 101. Robinson has the bigger upside. Greg Gauge vs Hugh de Aske Toss of a coin this one, two solid mid-carders both looking for a win to get themselves back in Talisman title contention. Gauge had his shot last month, so I'll go for De Aske to get the victory. ROF Talisman Title Nigel Svensson © vs Don Henderson As the previous poster said Henderson's already had this title a zillion times. A win over an established veteran would really legitimize Svensson's title reign. ROF Tag Team Titles The Show Stealers © vs Warriors of Honour Show-Stealers to retain, and for someone else to emerge as challengers next month Last Man Standing Dark Angel vs ‘Wrath of God’ Jack Giedroyc I don't see this feud ending yet, and I can see Dark Angel's acolyte Seraphym sticking his oar in, to help force the outcome of this match ROF Championship Triple Threat Merle O’Curle © vs Rolling Johnny Stones vs UK Dragon Last time O'Curle lost the title in this sort of match, but I don't see lightning striking twice and I think the celtic crippler will retain. Though both Stones and Dragon are very capable of winning the title.

A win over an established veteran would really legitimize Svensson's title reign.
Hmm. It's interesting that you both say that. He's actually only held it twice. His first short reign from December 08 to February 09. And then a longer reign from January 10 to August 10. I think probably the fact that he's been in contention for the strap for a long time makes it seem like he's held the belt more times. So far, in ROF history, only Billy Robinson and Merle O'Curle have ever held a singles title a total of 3 times. By the way...ooc...the main title went back on O'Curle kind of as punishment to Johnny Stones, who (as a free spirit) turned up late 3 times since becoming champion. He was doing well as champ, but I felt that if it was a real-life company, there was no way I'd keep a guy as champion when he'd not been bothering to turn up on time. But then, if he learns his lesson...

ROF Combustion – March 2011 Billy Robinson vs JD Morgan - Danny'll be proud as I see a shock win for Robinson. Which will lead to some rematches and essentially if it succeeds it will cement Robinson in the top tier of the RoF. Greg Gauge vs Hugh de Aske - Flip a coin. Either guy could be lured away to America (or Japan) at almost any moment. So let's keep de Aske's slide... a-slidin'. ROF Talisman Title Nigel Svensson © vs Don Henderson - Svensson needs this. Henderson's outgrown the Talisman. Perhaps a quick roll up to keep the Scottish Deathlock out of play? ROF Tag Team Titles The Show Stealers © vs Warriors of Honour - Samurai demands the tag titles as a reward for Judota/Judoka? being the most improved RoFer every month for the past 2 years. (I may be stretching the truth juuuuuuuuust a bit.) Last Man Standing Dark Angel vs ‘Wrath of God’ Jack Giedroyc - I've come to the assumption that the Dark Angel is about as believable a 'monster' as Chocolate Reign Dustin Rhodes. So 'the Wrath of Pox' gets a measure of revenge and DA floats down to the midcard monster slot. ROF Championship Triple Threat Merle O’Curle © vs Rolling Johnny Stones vs UK Dragon - I actually *want* to pick someone other than O'Curle as it would be a great shake-up and send O'Curle off the deep end. And would lead to a great interview. But I don't think Stones or Dragon are the men to topple O'Curle.
JB: So Merle, this third reign was substantially shorter than your first two. 13 days as opposed to 13 months. MO: Wow. That's insightful. JB: What I mean is... MO: Want to teach me the months of the year now? JB: Getting back on track... MO: Care to suggest some strategy for the rematch? JB: Um... uh... thanks for joining us Merle. MO: You a gibbering git. This *was* your best interview ever!
Probably the two pre-eminent wrestlers over the past 5 years in ROF, which of the two will go home after Dying Embers with the championship belt? ______________________________ ROF Dying Embers – April 2011 Rankings Match Hugh de Aske vs Kevin Jones ROF Talisman Title Nigel Svensson © vs Don Henderson Steel Cage Match Dark Angel vs ‘Wrath Of God’ Jack Giedroyc ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs The Show Stealers Rankings Match JD Morgan vs Rolling Johnny Stones ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs UK Dragon

ROF Dying Embers – April 2011 Rankings Match Hugh de Aske vs Kevin Jones Jones is still on the roster? Since De Aske is actually getting PPV time and Jones isn't this goes to the "crossbreed pirate" ROF Talisman Title Nigel Svensson © vs Don Henderson Svennson has had an impressive first championship, but it is time for Henderson to win the belt for the 117,603rd time (okay, third time) to match his former partner Steel Cage Match Dark Angel vs ‘Wrath Of God’ Jack Giedroyc The steel helmet makes the difference ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs The Show Stealers Warriors of Honour hold the belts for a bit while Show Stealers and CAN-AM SAS fight it out Rankings Match JD Morgan vs Rolling Johnny Stones Punishment time is almost over as RJS enters the title picture again. ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs UK Dragon This will be the shock of the night given the massively long previous reigns of the Celtic God of Wrestling

Rankings Match Hugh de Aske vs Kevin Jones You've made me a Kevin Jones fan. ROF Talisman Title Nigel Svensson © vs Don Henderson I like Nigel as champion even though his picture looks dopey. Steel Cage Match Dark Angel vs 'Wrath Of God’ Jack Giedroyc Giedroyc evens this up a bit more. ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs The Show Stealers Show Stealers FTW. Rankings Match JD Morgan vs Rolling Johnny Stones JD gets the next shot he'll retire soon and I'd like to see him in the title seen again. ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs UK Dragon O'Curle will hold this title until some one retires him through injury. He is a celtic god of death

ROF Dying Embers – April 2011 Rankings Match Hugh de Aske vs Kevin Jones - I know, I know. You're all thinking... uh Beeker, Kevin Jones is still using the 'Shane Douglas Memorial Belly to Belly Suplex' Finisher. Ah ha! Astute indeed. But... de Aske's on his slide AND Jones debuts a real finisher! Huzzah! ROF Talisman Title Nigel Svensson © vs Don Henderson - Poor Don. He's caught being better than the Talisman but not quite ready for the Main Event. But Svensson wins again with his Hyper-extension ArmBAR getting it over as a dangerous move. Steel Cage Match Dark Angel vs ‘Wrath Of God’ Jack Giedroyc - Giedroyc finally unleashes his rightful wrath upon the pagan infidel Dark Alba! ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs The Show Stealers - British Samurai opts not to hot shot the titles off him. Owner's perogative. Rankings Match JD Morgan vs Rolling Johnny Stones - Yup, JD gets another dance with O'Curle since they always deliver and Morgan's not been in the ME for a while. ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs UK Dragon - I hoping for a shorter reign for O'Curle but the travelworn Dragon is not the man to dethrone him.
Hoping for a shorter reign? Shame on you Beeker J/K We must brainwash you to become an O'Curle follower, :)
I picked O'Curle to win dammit. I just don't want another 13 months of Monsieur O'Curle and his charming interview stylings. And I think an angry and focused O'Curle feeling some sort of injustice about his shortened reign would give O'Curle another angle to his persona. And I am a fan of O'Curle.
