MAW Destiny Awaits Live From Stanley Hall Saturday, March Week 4, 2008 Mid Atlantic Championship Match The Mean Machine vs. Antonio Last month The Mean Machine pulled out a victory against Mainstream Hernandez, and earlier in the card Antonio won the right to a title match. The two had an intense staredown to finish the show, setting up this huge main event. Can Antonio overcome the size difference to win his first Mid Atlantic Championship, or will The Mean Machine continue his dominance over MAW? Mid Atlantic Tag Team Title Match Aerial Assault vs. Davis Newton and ??? Last month Davis Newton won a fatal four way featuring the Tag Team Champions, Aerial Assault. That made a light go off in Newton's head this month, because he has issued a challenge to Aerial Assault, saying he could team with anybody and beat them for the titles. Who will Newton's partner be, and can they overcome the stranglehold Aerial Assault has on the tag division? Des Davids vs. Steven Parker This match features two of the premier athletes on the MAW roster. Davids' background is in football, but he is becoming better and better the more work he gets, so Parker has to watch out in this one or the RCI Winner will hit him with the Quarterback Sack, and there's no getting up from that. Mainstream Hernandez vs. Casey Valentine Mainstream Hernandez came up short in his rematch with The Mean Machine for the Mid Atlantic Championship, and now Rip Chord says he will go to the bottom of the ladder and work his way back up. But with the man that is under Chord's watch facing him, will Hernandez's quest back to the top get stopped before it's first step? Mid Atlantic Championship: The Mean Machine (c) vs. Antonio Can Antonio become MAW champion, well it's not entirely impossible because he's been defying the odd's for the past 15 months now, but I honestly can't see him beating the Mean Machine in his first shot at the title. Mid Atlantic Tag Team: Aerial Assault (c) vs. Davis Newton and ??? Whoever Newton chooses as his partner, I don't think Aerial Assault will be dropping the belts just yet. Looking at people not on the show, that are on the roster, someone like a former tag champ such as D.C Rayne could be an interesting option....otherwise he could well be tagging with a new addition. Des Davids vs. Steven Parker RCI winner Davids is on his way up and most definately on his way to challenging for the title, where as former long reigning MAW champ Parker appears to be on his way down, especially following his loss to Antonio. Mainstream Hernandez vs. Casey Valentine The only way Valentine wins here, is via cheating and Hernandez very rarely goes on a two show losing streak

Newton and Thomas, who both hail from north of the border took it to the tag team champions like nobody has so far in their reign, but Aerial Assault used their great speed to fight back, and even take a clear advantage over the team from up north. They looked to put it away with the combination leg drop and Strong Sault, but Thomas knocked Shaffer off the top rope, then he threw Erik Strong into the ring. He got Newton up, and the two men set up Strong for one of the most devastating moves MAW has seen, a double Fisherman’s Suplex, and just like that MAW had new tag team champions. Winners: Davis Newton and Bobby Thomas Match Time: 15:54 Match Rating: D+ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Newton and Thomas celebrate their first title victory each here in MAW. The fans boo as Trent Shaffer helped Strong get out of the ring, and the champions limped to the back, shocked that they were just knocked off their perch as champions. Then Davis Newton demanded the microphone from ringside. Davis Newton This is a takeover! A takeover of the tag team division. Aerial Assault has dominated the scene for so long. Well guess what, those days are over. There are new champions in MAW! Davis Newton and ‘All Business’ Bobby Thomas……The Canucks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mainstream Hernandez vs. Casey Valentine Casey Valentine looked very impressive coming out of the gate, as he looked like he knew that if he could ground Mainstream, then he stood a much smaller chance of getting beat. Valentine worked on the knee of Hernandez, but planning to ground Mainstream and grounding him are two totally different things. As much as Valentine tried to stop him he couldn’t, and after a swift Superkick Mainstream headed up top, where he delivered the Shooting Star Press for an impressive victory. Winner: Mainstream Hernandez Match Time: 12:34 Match Rating: C- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Des Davids vs. Steven Parker Anybody who questioned Des Davids’ wrestling ability coming into this match were quickly silenced after the conclusion of the match. Davids and Parker started for about the first fifteen minutes trading technical wrestling holds, something that certainly favored the former MAW Champion, Steven Parker. But after that things started turning into a slugfest as Davids knew that is what he needed to come out on top. Then around the twenty-five minute mark Nicole Kiss made her way out to the ring and whispered something to the timekeeper, then walked back to the back. The two men battled all over the ring, and Des Davids was stalking Parker for the Quarterback Sack when the bell suddenly rang. Then the voice of the ring announcer rang around the arena. “Ladies and Gentlemen, Ms. Kiss has informed me that there has been a time limit implemented in this match to ensure that the main event has sufficient time. So therefore, this match is a draw!” Winner: Time Limit Draw Match Time: 30:00 Match Rating: C- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Des Davids drops out to ringside and grabs the microphone. Des Davids Parker, I’ll give it to you, you hung with me like few men can. But you know damn well that I was ready to hit you with the Quarterback Sack. So here’s what I’m asking….no….here’s what I’m telling you. Next month, Des Davids vs. Steven Parker 2, this time, there will be a winner. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mid Atlantic Championship Match The Mean Machine vs. Antonio Machine raised his title up high before the match, and he didn’t seem to be taking Antonio as a legitimate threat. Antonio took advantage of this as he took Machine down to the mat early and often with his very good technical wrestling ability. He locked in all kinds of armbars on Machine, wearing down his shoulder, and hopefully taking the Mood Swing out of his arsenal. After a few minutes of battling Machine had the advantage, then tried the Mood Swing, but he couldn’t get him up because his shoulder hurt, then Antonio went for his Italian DDT, but Machine rolled out, then spiked Antonio with the Mood Swing with his opposite arm, but it was still strong enough to get the duke. Winner: The Mean Machine Match Time: 14:36 Match Rating: C ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match The Mean Machine threw Antonio out of the ring, then he started going crazy celebrating his big win. He was shouting at the fans that he was the greatest…..then the lights went out. When they came back on there was a man standing behind Machine. It was FOX MASK! Fox Mask kicked Machine in the gut then nailed the Fox Hunter, before grabbing his title and holding it high in the air, presumably challenging Machine for the championship. MAW Legacy Live From Stanley Hall Saturday, April Week 4, 2008 Mid Atlantic Championship Match The Mean Machine vs. Fox Mask Mean Machine was able to defend his championship against Antonio last month, but after the match Fox Mask appeared and hit him with the Fox Hunter. Fox Mask has returned from Japan, and it seems that he is focused and ready to be the next Mid Atlantic Champion, and he has the fans behind him in this one, so Machine better watch out or his title reign will end tonight. Des Davids vs. Steven Parker Last month Des Davids and Steven Parker had a one-on-one match, and they provided an instant MAW classic. The two men fought to a time limit that most fans didn't even know was in place. Neither man was able to come out on top after thirty minutes, even though Des Davids was second from doing so. Will Davids finish the deed tonight, or will Parker prove why he was champion for over a year? Mainstream Hernandez vs. Davis Newton Davis Newton has a new found confidence after winning one half of the Mid Atlantic Tag Team Championship. He sent Bobby Thomas to take on one half of the tag team champions, but he claims to have bigger fish to fry as he takes on the former Mid Atlantic Champion, Mainstream Hernandez, who is looking to get back into title contention. Trent Shaffer vs. Bobby Thomas Bobby Thomas had one of the biggest debuts in MAW history, winning the Mid Atlantic Tag Team Championship with Davis Newton in his first night. Now he must face off with half of the former champs, Trent Shaffer. If Shaffer can get the win you know it will help Aerial Assault get their return match, but can he beat the veteran from Canada? Mid Atlantic Championship: The Mean Machine (c) vs. Fox Mask I see this being a 'one off ' challenge rather than a fully fledged feud, so there-fore I think Mean Machine retains and moves onto the next challenger, I also think that at the moment Fox Mask is more of a 'guest star' that you will use every so often, rather than as a full time member of the roster. Des Davids vs. Steven Parker This could very much go either way but I'll stick to what I said last month, Davids is gradually being groomed for a run towards the top, whilst Parker has had his day in the sun and is gradually dropping to the mid-card. Mainstream Hernandez vs. Davis Newton If Hernandez does do the job here and suddenly pops up with a contract in SWF, then good call by D-Mack. But I'm erring on the side of Mainstream being here next month (and beyond) when I make my predictions, so Mainstream wins here to remain in the title picture. Newton is a fine up and comer, but as one half of the tag champs he needs the singles win less. Trent Shaffer vs. Bobby Thomas I would have guessed that Aerial Assault would have got their re-match this month, but I suppose when the rest of the tag division is The Blondes, and then ....... is there anyone else ?!!, you would want to drag this feud out as much as possible. Shaffer gets the win to give the former champs some regained momentum going into their re-match.
