ECW begins with a recap of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Joey Styles: Hello everyone and welcome to ECW on Sci Fi, I’m Joey Styles here with my broadcast partner Tazz. Tazz: Thanks Joey, what a great show we have lined up! The music of Extreme Expose plays as Brooke, Layla and Kelly make their way to ringside. Tazz: Wow, we’re starting of ECW with a little Extreme Expose! The three “diva’s” dance around for no reason until they are interrupted by the music of Allison Danger, who charges the ring and throws the Expose to the outside. Danger: These women are just a waste of space, they just prance around. They add nothing to wrestling, I on the other hand am a dominant force in women’s wrestling! Allison is interrupted by Melina, looking to get some payback for being eliminated from the women’s battle royal. Melina runs to the ring and starts cat fighting with Allison Danger. Tazz: Catfight Joey! Woo! Styles: We may actually have a competitive women’s division now in the WWE it seems! Melina’s blindside attack gives her the advantage and she is able to throw Allison Danger outside the ring to the floor. ECW goes for a break as Melina poses triumphantly. The Boogeyman vs. Elijah Burke Semi-Final in the ECW TV Title Tournament. Boogeyman goes through his usual scare tactics at the beginning of the match, and although Burke is freaked out he doesn’t let the Boogeyman know it. This match goes back and forth for the first five minutes before Elijah Burke takes complete control using his background in boxing to stagger the Boogeyman. The ending comes with Burke sending Boogeyman into the corner before hitting the Elijah Express to end this match after 8:13, Elijah Burke will meet Tommy Dreamer at Summerslam for the ECW Television Title. Your Winner: Elijah Burke Match Rating: C+ After the match Elijah Burke gets on the microphone: Burke: See how easy that was Dreamer? I know that your more talented than the Boogeyman, but “I” am Elijah Burke…The Future of E.C.W and this Sunday I WILL be going home with the ECW TV Title. Styles: Strong words from Elijah Burke Tazz: Yeah Joey, but we can never count out the Innovator of Violence: Tommy Dreamer. Triple H returns at Summerslam! A short hype video for HHH vs. Mr. Kennedy Tommy Dreamer vs. Masato Tanaka Extreme Rules Match An exciting match between two ECW originals, with the extreme rules making it look like a good old fashioned ECW match. About 3 minutes in, Tanaka hit a sick chair shot followed by a suplex through a table for a close two count. Dreamer was able to respond and hit Tanaka with a few Singapore Cain shots. This match was overbooked with both competitors donning the crimson mask, but the fans loved every minute of it, especially the finish. Dreamer set Tanaka up and hit the Spiccoli Driver through a table for the win in 6:58 Your Winner: Tommy Dreamer Match Rating: B- Following the match a bloodied Dreamer gets on the microphone to respond to Burke’s earlier comments. Dreamer: Burke, you say that you’re the future of ECW? Well ECW is the home of hardcore, and at Summerslam I want you to prove that you’re the future by facing me in a hardcore, pinfalls count anywhere match. That is… if you have the balls. Styles: Wow, Tommy Dreamer answers right back! I have a feeling interim general manager Shane McMahon may make this stipulation happen! Tazz: Yeah baby! an old school ECW match at Summerslam for the Television Title. After the break Shane McMahon is in the ring with CM Punk and John Morrison, looks like we are going to have a contract signing for Summerslam! Shane: With Summerslam being this Sunday, it’s time to sign the contracts for our ECW Title match between CM Punk **Crowd Cheers** and our defending champion: John Morrison **Crowd Boos** Now Mr. Punk if you’ll do the honours and sign the contract, then Mr. Morrison if you could sign the contract afterwards. CM Punk signs the contract before shoving the clipboard into Morrisons chest. Morrison: Punk, you just signed your career away, because at Summerslam the magician of mayhem John Morrison will make you NEVER want to wrestle again! With those words, John Morrison signs the contract and hands it to Shane McMahon. Shane: So it’s confirmed! Our ECW World Title will be on the line at Summerslam and also don't forget our Television Title match which will indeed be a Hardcore match. However our night isn’t over yet next up we have these two competitors, Punk and Morrison in action in their warm up matches. Nova vs. CM Punk These two faces put on a decent match with the crowd still coming down off the contract signing. Nova got the advantage at the beginning by playing heel, and the crowd hated him for it. The middle of the match was a slower affair with Nova using a lot of holds, which probably bored the crowd a little. CM Punk got back into the match by reversing the Novacaine, and at the 5 minute mark CM Punk hit a running knee to be firmly in control. At 7:30 Punk hit the GTS to get the 1,2,3 over Nova and go into Summerslam with a victory. Your Winner: CM Punk Match Rating: C+ ECW on Sci Fi returns from the break with Joey Styles and Tazz discussing Summerslam, when the mysterious countdown clock flashes onscreen yet again: 5...4...3...2, and like on Raw the clock stops at 2, before morphing into the Summerslam logo! What will happen at Summerslam?? John Morrison vs. Marcus Cor Von A nice even match between two of ECW’s stars, Morrison using his aerial skills while Cor Von favoured power. The middle of the contest belonged to Morrison after a sneaky low blow led to the ECW Champ being able to hit his trademark corkscrew moonsault. The Morrison show continued until Cor Von powered out of a DDT attempt, and followed it up with a Gorilla Press slam. The Alpha Male continued to dominate until Melina ran down to ringside distracting the referee while passing the ECW Title to Morrison, allowing the Shaman of Extreme to hit the unwitting Cor Von with the belt when the Alpha Male attempted the pounce. Morrison then covered Cor Von also putting his feet on the ropes while the referee counted 1...2...3, The ECW Champ cheats to win in 8:23 Your Winner: John Morrison Match Rating: B After escaping the ring, Morrison walks up the ramp triumphantly with Melina by his side. ECW ends with a hype video for the Summerslam matches: CM Punk vs. John Morrison and Tommy Dreamer vs. Elijah Burke. Attendance: 9,029 from the Giant Center in Hershey, PA. Show Rating: C+ OOC: Sorry for the delay, I just had a mental block in regards to the match write-ups and tried something a little different. What are you guys thoughts on this slight adjustment?

Ouch! Need to improve on that last score. WGTT vs. Deuce & Domino (WWE Tag Team Titles) WGTT can have better matches with others if the division expands. Candice Michelle vs. Victoria (Women's Title) It's Victoria :) King Booker vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler (For the right to be called a king) Hmmm, I would rather see Lawler dethroned since I like the King Booker gimmick but this is also a way to get back to Booker T SUCKA! Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio I don't like Rey, but he's the bigger draw :( HHH vs. Mr. Kennedy A loss on his return might cripple him worse than the quad tear! Tommy Dreamer vs. Elijah Burke ( Extreme Rules, ECW TV Title) Burke wins so he can be even c*ckier Chris Masters vs. Kane Unless Masters is going places? John Morrison vs. CM Punk (ECW Title) Hmm, Punk winning balances the heel holding the TV Title. The Great Khali vs. Batista (World Heavyweight Title) Really not sure, I can see arguments for both winning. Heads says Dave. John Cena vs. Randy Orton (WWE Title) Just to freshen things up or give Trips a way back into the title picture.

WGTT vs. Deuce & Domino (WWE Tag Team Titles) They're just better Candice Michelle vs. Victoria (Women's Title) King Booker vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler (For the right to be called a king) Booker losing to Lawler would more or less end his stay as a main eventer Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio HHH vs. Mr. Kennedy Tommy Dreamer vs. Elijah Burke ( Extreme Rules, ECW TV Title) Chris Masters vs. Kane John Morrison vs. CM Punk (ECW Title) The Great Khali vs. Batista (World Heavyweight Title) I know I'm worng on this one but I went for Khali just to be different. That plus there are far more faces to feud with Khali over the title than there are for heels to feud with Batista John Cena vs. Randy Orton (WWE Title)

WGTT vs. Deuce & Domino (WWE Tag Team Titles) I just like then better... Candice Michelle vs. Victoria (Women's Title) Like FB said it's Victoria King Booker vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler (For the right to be called a king) Never liked Booker as T or King... so Lawler for the win and Booker for the pink slip. Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio Just cause I like Chavo more. HHH vs. Mr. Kennedy Trips, because unless you took his creative control away he probably won't want to lose to Mr. Kennedy. Tommy Dreamer vs. Elijah Burke ( Extreme Rules, ECW TV Title) Tommy for the title and like Booker... Burke for the pink slip even though in my games I usually keep him around as jobber since he younger than Booker. Chris Masters vs. Kane I don't think I have really seen anyone push Masters so I am going to say Kane. John Morrison vs. CM Punk (ECW Title) Punk, because he's better than Morrison. Even though I like Morrison. The Great Khali vs. Batista (World Heavyweight Title) Batista... no brainer and this is coming from someone that doesn't like Batista. John Cena vs. Randy Orton (WWE Title) Because it's time for Cena to lose the title... oh wait that's in reality, but still Orton for the win.

Victoria vs. Melina (Inter-brand Grudge Match) Victoria is the challenger, so she should get the win. Deuce vs. Shelton Benjamin I see the WGTT winning the gold at Summerslam, so this is just to give the Greasers credibility before they lose. Jamie Noble vs. Super Crazy Random guess! I think Noble deserves more of a push though. Batista vs. Joey Mercury No brainer! Chavo Guerrero & MVP vs. Matt Hardy & Ric Flair Unsure on this one, but I think Guerrero/MVP will be losing at the PPV, so they need credible wins IMO. Kane vs. Finlay Could go either way if Masters gets involved in the match, which I'm sure he will! But I'll go with Kane since I hate to see him out of the main-event scene.

I’m Michael Cole with my co-broadcaster John “Bradshaw” Layfield. J.B.L: What a Smackdown we have tonight Cole, Finlay and Kane one on one! And Summerslam is tomorrow night! Cole: Yes John, tomorrow night on pay per view it’s WWE Summerslam live from the Continental Airlines Arena in my home state of New Jersey! J.B.L: Which is across the way from the great state of New York, my home town. Cole: Sure is John, and how great is this? you and me are going to host the free WWE.com pre show just an hour before Summerslam with some great exclusive matches! J.B.L: The only thing greater would be me returning to the ring! Cole: First up though tonight, Victoria vs. Melina J.B.L: Which has Just been made a Bra and Panties match Cole, woo! Not that you’d be excited by that though. Cole: HA HA HA. Victoria vs. Melina Even though this was a Bra & Panties match nobody attempts to pull any clothes off straight away. Melina dominates early using her SNME embarrassment to fuel her rage, before Victoria gets back into the match by out wrestling and out thinking the A-Lister. The match gets it’s first taste of partial nudity in the 6th minute with Melina able to wrestle the pants off Victoria, before the favour is repaid with Melina losing the shirt off her back. The match goes back and forth for a little bit before Victoria ducked under a clothesline attempt and hit her trademark Sidewalk Slam before hitting the Widow’s Peak. That left Melina easy prey and seconds later the #1 contender to the Women’s title to got the win via pants removal in 8:07 Your Winner: Victoria Match rating: C Time for Mr. Kennedy to Play The Game! Deuce is improving all the time and in the beginning Snuka Jnr is able to get the better of the former Golden Gopher, at one stage hitting a fine Belly to Back suplex. Five minutes in Cherry distracts referee Nick Patrick, allowing Deuce & Domino to hit the Crack ‘em in the Mouth. 1...2...Rope Break! Charlie Haas is able to put Shelton’s foot on the ropes, and Domino gets into the ring to complain allowing Haas to get even with the Exploder Suplex on Deuce. Nick Patrick takes a while to turn around 1...2...Kick Out! The ref took to long to count the pin fall. Still Shelton was in control and at 8:10 he hit the T-Bone, 1...2...3! Shelton gets a big win going into Summerslam, with Charlie assisting by chasing away Domino & Cherry during the 3 count. Mr. Long: Look, I know Mr. Porter’s been avoiding you Matt but I’m sorry dawg, Summerslam’s all booked out. How about you and MVP have some sort of contest at Summerslam, and at Unforgiven I promise, you and Montel will be fighting for the title. Hardy: **disappointed** Okay Teddy, I understand. I’ll have to try and get my hands on him later tonight. This match was a good mix of Mat Wrestling and High Flying, although maybe not as exciting as the crowd would have liked for a Cruiserweight Showcase match. Noble looked in control slowing the match down and showing why he is the champ, before setting Crazy up for a tiger driver…which gets reversed into a huricanrana! The Insane Luchadore then goes on a short rally which includes a Crazysault followed by a spinning variation of the Crazybomb…1...2...3! Super Crazy gets a win over the Cruiserweight Champion in 8:09 Your Winner: Super Crazy Match Rating: C Rey Mysterio will return this Sunday! Dykstra was always going to struggle in this match and after O’Reilly hit the Celtic Cross, he was also embarrassed when Hornswoggle came from underneath the ring to hit the mini Frog Splash on the prone Dykstra while Finlay distracted the referee. This was a longer squash than usual and it probably hurt the match, the ending coming after 7:57 with the Boston Lariat. So I had to show him you can’t outsmart the Silverback, and now he wants another try. So Eugene get out here and I’ll try to make this quick for you. **Eugene comes out to face Mark Henry in the Silverback Challenge again.** Eugene starts off well using hit and run tactics to waste time and keep Henry on the back foot. However all Henry needed was to hit a clothesline to gain the advantage, then hitting a running power slam followed by the dreaded Bearhug. Eugene struggles briefly before succumbing to Henry’s brute strength, at 1:45 minutes in it’s over. Henry decides to make Eugene pay by hitting the Henry splash before exiting the ring. The former tag team champion uses fast offence to keep Batista from getting a chance to hit back. About three minutes in Batista lifts a gear, ducking under a Joey Mercury clothesline attempt before hitting one of his own on the rebound. Batista then showcases his trademark moves before hitting the spine buster followed by the Batista Bomb for the victory in 7:54 Your Winner: Batista Match Rating: B+ After the match Batista is celebrating when the Great Khali appears on the titantron. Khali: Batissta, “speaking his native language” Summerslam Wuld Havywayt Chumpion! That’s my car…**now very angry** Your dead Khali! Just wait to Summerslam, your not going to make it out alive! Batista then grabs a chair from ring announcer Tony Chimel, before using it to take out his frustration on the ringpost. It looks like Khali’s stunt didn’t make Batista scared at all, it just made him even more pissed. Chavo Guerrero & Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Ric Flair & Matt Hardy Matt Hardy started this match eager to get his hands on MVP, but MVP didn’t want to face Matt and let Chavo begin the match for their team. Hardy and Chavo started of very evenly matched, trading holds and at one stage both wrestlers even went for a running splash at the same time. Then it was a case of who could reach the corner first…Tag! Ric Flair enters the match and ensures Chavo doesn’t get to tag MVP in, before going to work on the former cruiserweight star. Eventually via an eye rake, Chavo was able to tag MVP into the match, with the United States champion cutting off the ring an making sure Hardy wasn’t able to re- enter the match. MVP hit a German suplex on Flair, before taunting Hardy by daring him to come into the ring…which Hardy did, squaring up to the US Champ. It looked like they were finally going to get in on until MVP backed out, tagging in Chavo. When the ref asked Hardy (the illegal man) to get out of the ring he decided to go after MVP, chasing him up the ramp. Meanwhile Chavo was able to hit the Gory Bomb on a beaten Flair to get an easy 3 count after 12:31. Flair: **Out of breath** That’s okay Matt, you’re a heck of a guy and I know how annoying guys like MVP can be. The United States title is a prestigious honour and your truly worthy of not only a title shot, but to actually hold the belt. The two then shake hands and hug before Matt raises Flair’s hand to the roar of the crowd. After Smackdown comes back from the break the camera focuses on the Titantron which is only showing a large number 5, it then begins to countdown 4,3,2 but again stops at 2. When Kane was in charge his power was awesome with Finlay needing to resort to dirty tactics before putting on a mat wrestling clinic. Eight minutes in Finlay locked in the Celtic Knot which had the Big Red Machine in trouble, but he was able to get to the ropes. Kane got control soon after hitting the sidewalk slam before following up with a back breaker… Cole: Hey look it’s the Masterpiece, what’s he doing here? J.B.L: What a great Pay Per View we are going to have Cole. Summerslam will be our greatest event so far this year! Cole: Well, lets get started. First up we have the developing rivalry between Jamie Noble and Super Crazy. Jamie Noble vs. Super Crazy Cruiserweight Title Match These two have had a good series of matches lately and this time the Cruiserweight title was on the line. Super Crazy wowed the crowd with his high flying while Noble owned the mat creating a few near falls, firstly with a half nelson suplex then a inverted DDT. Super Crazy hit back with a tornado DDT and huricanrana, but this was Noble’s day when he hit the Tiger Driver for the 1...2...3. Jamie Noble retains his Cruiserweight Title. Your Winner: Jamie Noble Match Duration: 8:22 Match Rating: B+ Josh Matthews is backstage with Jerry “The King” Lawler. Matthews: Jerry, How do you feel right now knowing that a few hours from now you may not be able to call yourself “The King” anymore? Lawler: Josh, I feel okay. King Booker may think I’m an old has been who hasn’t wrestled a proper match since the early 90’s, but anybody who’s opinion is worth a damn knows that I wrestle most weeks down in Memphis. I’m in better shape than when I was a World Champion, and I’ve learnt a lot of new school wrestling from commentating on Raw every week. Matthews: King, Do you have any final words for Booker? Lawler: Booker, Tonight I’ll show you that the King of Memphis is a lot better than the King of Bookerville, Now can you dig that... Sucka! The camera now goes back to your hosts Michael Cole and J.B.L. Cole: Wow, I can’t wait for Jerry Lawler vs. King Booker tonight John. J.B.L: All hail King Booker! Cole: Next up we have a match that was taped during Friday Night Smackdown, between Charlie Haas and Domino. J.B.L: This was taped yesterday to allow all four wrestlers time to rest up before tonight’s Tag Team titles match, which has been made a Tornado Tag Match. Cole: Meaning ALL four men are legal at the same time. J.B.L: Duh! I think everybody knows what a Tornado match is dummy. Cole: But what they may not know is why Mr. Long made the Tornado Tag Stipulation. J.B.L: Because neither Haas nor Domino could keep out of the match last night! Charlie Haas vs. Domino After Shelton’s win on Smackdown, Domino needed to get one back for the Tag Team Champions to regain some momentum for Summerslam. A dull contest in the end with neither wrestler able to get the crowd into the match. Domino ended up getting a win for the back for the Tag Champs, after Cherry distracted Haas who turned around just in time to get hit with the Throw Back. How do you feel? Lashley: I feel angry Maria, I don’t have a match because John Cena is too scared to face me. Maria: But you lost to Randy Orton in a number one contenders match and you also lost to John Cena one on one this past Monday. Lashley: **Ignoring Maria** John Cena cost me a shot at his WWE title and now he needs to watch his back. I will beat John Cena and I will be WWE Champion. **With that Lashley walks off. Maria then turns to the camera** Maria: Wow, I wonder how John Cena will respond. Now to Lillian Garcia who is with William Regal. Regal: Yes Lillian, There will be a Special Carlito’s Cabana featuring the Hardcore Legend Mick Foley. Also I will be announcing the new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship after the Umaga vs. Snitsky match up. Lillian: I heard you also have some Smackdown news for us. Regal: That’s right, Montel Vontavious Porter and Matt Hardy will face off in an arm wrestling contest. If Matt Hardy can beat MVP, he will get a shot at the United States title at Unforgiven. Lillian: Arm Wrestling contest? Regal: The Pay Per View doesn't have room for anymore matches, so in Smackdown's never ending pursuit of boredom, Teddy Long decided to waste more airtime with this arm wrestling nonsense. Mistico hits a top rope hurricanrana on Chavo, then Rey sets him up for the 6 1 9, while Mistico revives the referee. Rey follows the 619 with the Dropping the Dime, 1...2...3! Rey Mysterio gets revenge on Chavo Guerrero! After the match Rey and Mistico shake hands and celebrate with the fans. In the middle the match slowed down, but still had some good points like Dreamer putting the trash can over Elijah Burke before beating the hell out of it with a Singapore Cain and Elijah hitting Dreamer with an STO onto a chair. Nice way to debut Jericho. Intersting to see where this Mistico storyline goes. Rey and Mistico as a tag team would definately be a good move and would make for a lot of high flying matches. Also liked the tease of Triple H appearing during the Booker match as it would have come off really well on TV. Good pay per view.

News and Notes Snitsky being comprehensively beaten at Summerslam was a surprise, but word from our sources say that he will be sent down to FCW. Apparently creative feel he needs more improvement and some time back in development will help him. Chris Jericho returning was a big shock and WWE did well to keep it under wraps for so long. We can however reveal that he will be a Smackdown superstar to start with. The matches scheduled for the Heat taping tonight are: Paul London vs. Daivari, Brian Kendrick vs. The Amazing Red (FCW Developmental) and the Highlanders face Umaga in a handicap main event. In other news, wrestling legend Greg “The Hammer” Valentine has decided to hang up the boots for good. Im glad the HHH tease worked out how I wanted it, I feel that Booker is going to retire soon and I want him to have one last run as Booker T.
flamebrain: Good stuff, shame about the rating, the angles thing bit me for my first few PPVs too. :o
Thanks, yeah the final rating sucked, I wanted to get alot of the roster on the PPV. I thought I'd worked out the angle to match ratio but it wasn't to be.
chris caulfield: Great debut for jericho and mistico can't wait for raw.
Thanks, I'm glad the Y2J re-debut went over well. The Raw preview will be be up in a minute, so you can get predictions in! :D
