Sunday 18th November 2007 American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL Attendance: 15,000 After the regular WWE idents, a video plays hyping Survivor Series and the main matches set to take place. The video pays particular attention to the bitter rivalry of John Cena and Randy Orton that has lead to the pair facing off tonight over Cena's WWE Championship inside the brutal structure that is Hell In A Cell. We also see events that have lead to the match between Team Triple H and Team Umaga, coming mainly from the bad blood felt between 'The Game' and Vince McMahon. The video ends after showing brief highlights of former HIAC matches and the damage such an environment causes to the participants involved, whilst hyping the WWE Title match..... We fade into the arena where a pumped up crowd roar and wave their signs as the pyros fire off gloriously around the entrance. We then cut to a shot of the HIAC structure hanging high above the ring...... JR You are looking at the unforgiving and hellish structure that will tonight encompass possibly the two hottest superstars in the WWE today..... I'm Jim Ross with Jerry Lawler and we welcome you to the American Airlines Arena where tonight John Cena will defend his WWE Title against Randy Orton inside Hell In A Cell, without a doubt the most brutal and sadistic environment known to man. King Good evening, JR! Whoever walks out as champion tonight, you have to feel that both mens careers could be shortened somewhat by taking part in such a match JR Of that, King, I have no doubt! And of course, it is not just about RAW tonight, our Smackdown colleagues Michael Cole and JBL here as always to call the action from the blue side.... Michael Cole Indeed we are, thank you, JR, Smackdown also bringing you an interesting match to say the least as Batista defends his World Heavyweight Title against 'The Big Red Machine' Kane, a man who last lost a match, I'm told, 14 weeks ago JBL To say that Kane is on a roll, Michael, would be to say that you are the worst announcer in the history of the WWE, it just goes without saying......... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Michael Cole Thank you, John, and on that note it looks like we're ready to kick things off as the former sixteen time world champion 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair makes his way to the ring Ric Flair makes his way out as virtually the entire crowd rise to their feet. He is joined by The Undertaker who gets a similar response as well as the rest of his team before Team Burke makes their entrances and we are set for the opening match of this years Survivor Series..... Morrison starts to get the upper-hand on Mysterio and with Rey down, Chavo is more than willing to tag in. His arrogance backfires, though and Mysterio quickly trips him across the middle rope and hits a 619 before hitting a Springboard Legdrop and eliminating Chavo Guerrero in the 5th minute. Morrison steps into the ring and Mysterio tags in Finlay. Morrison seems annoyed at this and tags himself back out, his replacement being Khali. Finlay seems to be holding his own and after a couple of minutes, starts to kick Khali down to his knees but as he bounces off the ropes, Elijah Burke knees Finlay in the back as Ranjin Singh has the official distracted, thus allowing Khali to drop Finlay with a chop right to the top of the head. Finlay is eliminated in the 7th minute. Mysterio is back in the ring now and Morrison wants in on the action, tagging himself back in. Mysterio dazzles Morrison with his pace and looks to eliminate his second opponent with another 619, but Morrison ducks and is very quick to hit a Springboard Roundhouse Kick to Mysterio, eliminating him in the 9th minute. This is where The Undertaker enters proceedings and once again Morrison tags out to Big Daddy V. Taker gets the better of BDV but once again, as Taker springs off the ropes, Morrison this time knees 'The Deadman' in the back as Matt Striker distracts the referee by jumping up on the apron. Taker, though immediately turns and clasps his hand around Burke's throat but is quickly clattered from behind by BDV. BDV pounds on Taker and knocks him on his back. BDV springs off the ropes and Splashes Taker, but amazingly, Taker actually grabs BDV by the throat as he lands and stands up without releasing his grip before Chokeslamming BDV and scoring the pin to eliminate BDV in the 11th minute. Before Taker can even get to his feet he is attacked by Khali who kicks him in the side of the head. Khali whips Taker into his teams corner and looks to squash him as he runs at him as fast as he can, which admittedly, isn't that fast. Taker ducks under Khali's arm but Morrison tags Khali as he runs into the turnbuckle. Khali turns and is Chokeslammed by Taker and before Taker can drop down to make the cover, Morrison has slithered into the ring and hits a Springboard Roundhouse Kick to the back of Taker's head before hooking both legs and making the cover. Taker looks to kick out but the officials hand comes down a split second before and The Undertaker is eliminated in the 12th minute. Morrison, having just eliminated The Undertaker, is naturally pleased with himself and takes a few seconds to milk the moment, but we all know you can't do that in this kind of match and CM Punk enters the ring, spins Morrison around and lifts him onto his shoulders before nailing him with a GTS and making the cover to eliminate John Morrison in the 12th minute. We're down to 2 a side as Ric Flair and CM Punk face off against Khali and Burke. Flair is in the ring with Khali and after unsuccessful attempts to chop the giant down, Flair finds himself in trouble when he bounces off the ropes near his corner and is quickly placed in Khali's Vice Grip. CM Punk suddenly leaps to the middle of the top rope from the outside and Springboard Clotheslines Khali and quickly making the cover which the referee counts, Punk obviously having tagged in when Flair bounced off the ropes! Punk eliminates Khali in the 14th minute leaving Burke all on his own against Punk and Flair. Burke and Punk square off and Burke gets the upper hand but Punk dodges a quick attempt at the Elijah Express and Burke smacks into the top turnbuckle with both knees. Punk tags in Flair who quickly locks in the Figure Four Leglock on Burke, who taps within a few seconds. Burke in eliminated in the 16th minute as Team Flair wins the opening match of the night with both Flair and CM Punk left standing! WGTT are used to this kind of setting whilst London and Kendrick actually defended their titles in this exact match type at Armageddon 2006. All eight men are permanently active in this match of pretty much no rules as ladders are propped up against the crowd barriers all around the ring. The bell sounds and immediately all 8 men start brawling until both Shelton Benjamin and Paul London have the same idea and roll out to grab ladders. Benjamin goes to push the ladder into the ring on the side of the announcers tables but Kendrick baseball slides the ladder right back into Benjamin's chest and he goes down on the outside. London fares slightly better on the opposite side, sliding the ladder in and then sliding into the ring himself only for Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch to wise up and start stomping all over him as Cryme Tyme lay into Charlie Haas. Kendrick comes to London's aid and they start brawling with the champions as Benjamin grabs a ladder and puts it over the top of both announce tables with the intentions of moving it to his desired destination but before he can he finds himself being clubbed across the back by Shad and thrown back into the ring. Cade and Murdoch have knocked London and Kendrick down and have picked up the ladder between them and run at Cryme Tyme, plowing into them with the full force of the ladder knocking them out of the ring. They turn just as Benjamin Springboards up to the top rope from off the apron and dropkicks the ladder straight back against the champs who fall backwards with the ladder on top of them. The expected frenetic pace of the match never lets up and about 6 minutes in Shelton Benjamin pulls a ladder out from under the ring, but it keeps on coming as he pulls out what has to be a 12 foot ladder. It drops with one end against the ladder that was earlier placed across the two announce tables and as he picks the other end up and places it on the ring apron ready to push into the ring, he is clattered from behind by Lance Cade. Cade clubs Benjamin across the back a few times and eventually knocks him onto the ladder that rests across the ring apron and the other ladder on the announce tables. Benjamin is laid out on the ladder as Cade continues to throw punches but Benjamin manages to get a punch of his own in. We suddenly see that Paul London has climbed to the to pof the turnbuckle and soars into the air, crashing down across the chest of Benjamin with a Shooting Star Press. London bounces off Benjamin and lands on the floor having seemingly caused himself as much damage as he has Benjamin, who himself falls off the ladder groaning in pain as he switches from holding his ribs to his back then his ribs again as the fans start up a Holy S**t chant Benjamin and London don't look like they'll be doing much any time soon and Haas and Kendrick are left to fight it out by themselves on behalf of their team, giving Cryme Tyme and the champions Cade and Murdoch newly improved odds. Kendrick and Haas are both sent to the outside as Cryme Tyme and the champs fight it out inside the ring with JTG making the first move to bring in another ladder from the outside, despite there being one in the ring already. He obviously feels you can never have too many ladders and slides an 8 foot ladder into the ring as Shad beats on Murdoch with Cade down on the floor. JTG props the ladder up in the near left corner (going from regular camera view) and he and Shad grab an arm each of Murdoch before whipping him violently into the corner when the unforgiving ladder stands. Cade has recovered and smashes JTG from behind but is quickly taken down by Shad who beats on Cade before helping JTG up and directing him to the ladder in the corner. Shad goes back to beating on Cade as JTG climbs the turnbuckle from the outside before stepping further up onto the top of the ladder, and as Shad gets out of the way, JTG uses his momentum to topple the ladder over, jumping off of it just as it comes crashing down across the chest of Lance Cade. Cade rolls out of the ring and Shad sets the ladder up as JTG crawls over to the corner of the ring. Shad is halfway up but Brian Kendrick and Charlie Haas climb back into the ring and push the ladder from either side. Shad is near the top and has nowhere to go as the ladder topples towards the side of the announce table, and he falls off as the ladder hits the ropes and he smacks shoulder first into the ladder that has already claimed London and Benjamin as victims. Kendrick and Haas battle it out for a few moments before Kendrick hits Haas with a Sliced Bread No2 and goes to setup the ladder only for JTG to pull him back down. He whips Kendrick to the ropes and looks to backflip him as he comes back but Kendrick flips off of JTG and right onto the halfway point of the ladder before climbing up as quick as he can, but JTG catches him by the ankle just in time. Kendrick kicks free, though and climbs up another step, getting one hand to the title belts but Lance Cade has somehow managed to climb back into the ring in time to push the ladder over towards the ropes on the far side of camera view and Kendrick falls onto the ropes and whips backwards awkwardly. Benjamin is somehow back in the ring, followed by London who actually appears to be bleeding from his lip or mouth. Shad is down on the outside whilst Kendrick has fallen to the mats below holding his shoulder after falling into the ropes off the ladder. JTG is slowly getting to his feet whilst both Cade and Murdoch are doing the same just as Charlie Haas climbs back into the ring. Benjamin is quickly dispatched back to the outside courtesy of a ladder to the gut from Cade and Murdoch who stand either side of the ladder using it as a battering ram. JTG, Haas and London all attack the champions at once and knock them to the canvas. Haas picks up the ladder but JTG has other ideas springboarding off the middle of the ropes and turning mid air to cross-body the ladder onto Haas. JTG bounces off the ladder and straight to the outside where Haas soon rolls having been squashed under the ladder and the weight of JTG. London senses his chance and sets a ladder up underneath the belts before starting his ascent. He gets 3/4 of the way up before Murdoch reaches through from the other side and grabs his ankle. London tries desperately to shake him hand off and does so, climbing further up the ladder and getting a hand on the belts but Cade has now climbed up on the same side as him and clubs him across the back. London's foot gets caught in between two rungs and he falls backwards, hanging awkwardly from the ladder as Cade climbs right over him to the top of the ladder. Kendrick is just starting to pull himself up on the ring apron but it is too late as Cade grabs the belts ans unhooks them to retain the World Tag Team Championships! MVP has beaten Hardy twice already, albeit with rather suspect methods but he's always done what has been needed to walk away with the title. Hardy is pumped up for this, bouncing on his toes awaiting the bell to be rung whilst MVP is his usual methodical, c0cky self as he slowly removes his jewellery and hands the US Title to the official. The bell rings and the pair hook up leading to an opening few minutes of both men looking to assert their dominance. MVP takes control a few minutes in and grounds Hardy with basic submission moves, mainly working on Hardy's right arm. Hardy fights back but is subdued when MVP rams him right shoulder first into the steel ringpost behind the turnbuckle. MVP goes back to Hardy's right arm, wrenching on it as he keeps his challenger grounded. Hardy again fights back but MVP drops him back down with an Arm Bar take-down. MVP waits for Hardy to get up and whips him to the corner. He runs at Hardy with a Big Boot, but Hardy dodges it and MVP hangs his right leg up over the top rope. Hardy is slow to take advantage, holding his arm but manages to throw some weakened punches at the champ and a few kicks to the hamstring of his right leg. He climbs to the second turnbuckle and drops an elbow across the back of MVP's head. MVP gets up and Hardy goes for the Side Effect and hits it! He makes the cover but MVP kicks out. Hardy stalks MVP looking to end it with a Twist Of Fate and kicks MVP in the gut as he gets up. He goes for his finishing move but MVP pushes him away. Hardy goes back to him but is kicked in the bgut himself and MVP sets his leg across Hardy's neck for the Playmaker, but Hardy counters back and hits another Side Effect. Hardy takes a few seconds before making the cover but as he hooks the leg, MVP reverses it with a backslide and just about makes the three count to retain his Title by the narrowest of margins. Hardy is frustrated to lose in such a manner, running his hands through his hair as MVP backs up the ramp holding his title up, although clearly showing the signs of being put through his paces during the match. Umaga quickly overpowers Michaels and retakes command as both Kennedy and Snitsky tag in for a few shots on the 'Heart Break Kid'. Snitsky stays in to continue the assault on Michaels and whips him into his teams corner. He runs at HBK and looks to squash him but HBK moves and Snitsky runs full steam into the turnbuckle. He turns around and is met by the sound of Sweet Chin Music, delivered by Michaels' right boot and HBK makes the cover on the rotten toothed monster to bring about the first elimination. Snitsky is eliminated in the 4th minute. Umaga immediately re-enters the ring and smashes into Michaels from behind as he goes back to dominating him and hits him with both a Samoan Drop and then the dreaded running butt smash in the corner. Umaga drags HBK to his teams corner and his team use frequent tags as all four remaining men take turns to beat on Michaels. Booker takes up the role of staying in and working on HBK and almost allows HBK back to his corner, stopping him from making the tag just in time. Booker drops Michaels with a huge kick to the jaw but doesn't go for the cover, instead opting to attempt the Scissor Kick. Michaels lifts his head up just in time and Booker misses, before HBK hits his second Sweet Chin Music of the night, but he's drained and flops to the mat unable to make the cover. He does just about have enough left to make the tag, though and in comes Bobby Lashley who unleashes a string of huge right hands on Booker before whipping him to the ropes and Backflipping him as he bounces back. Lashley stalks Booker who gets up and turns right into the arms of Lashley who lifts him up and plants him with a Dominator, scoring the pin and eliminating King Booker in the 8th minute. Mr Kennedy enters the ring and as Lashley moves for him he leaves the ring on the entrance ramp side, closest to his opponents corner. It's clearly a plan, though as Carlito enters the ring and hits Lashley with a BackCracker before scoring the pinfall. JR speculates that because Kennedy entered the ring after an elimination but never engaged in combat with Lashley, he never became legal and therefore Lashley is eliminated in the 9th minute. Val Venis enters for Team Triple H and actually starts to get the upper hand on Carlito but as the referee is distracted by Kennedy he is clotheslined by Umaga who is on the apron and Venis flips inside out after the high impact move. Carlito manages to get to his corner and tag Umaga in and with Venis at his mercy, he waits for him to get to his feet before dropping him with a Samoan Spike and making the cover. Val Venis is eliminated in the 12th minute. HHH enters the ring and stares at Umaga and the pair hook up. HHH pushes Umaga to a corner and unleashes several huge right hands on 'The Samoan Bulldozer' before being pushed away. Umaga runs out of the corner at HHH but 'The Game' nails him with a Spinebuster before tagging in HBK. Michaels mounts Umaga and punches him in the forehead several times before being pushed away. HBK goes for Sweet Chin as Umaga gets to his feet but Umaga ducks and is pushed into the corner of Team Umaga. Umaga runs at HBK and splashes him before turning to Triple H's corner and holding his arms out and letting out one of his primal roars. HHH enters the ring, annoyed, allowing Carlito and Kennedy to choke HBK in their corner. Michaels fights out of it and levels Carlito with a punch and tries to leave the corner but Kennedy pulls him by the hair and he falls to the mat. Michaels gets up and slaps Kennedy but turns to find a waiting Umaga, who drops him with a Samoan Spike and gets the pinfall on HBK. HBK is eliminated in the 14th minute. HHH runs into the ring and smashes into the back of Umaga, and he falls into his own corner. Carlito tags himself in without HHH seeing and 'The Game' goes back on the attack against Umaga. Carlito knocks HHH down as Umaga is forced to leave the ring and Carlito goes on the attack. He whips HHH to the ropes and looks to Backflip him, but HHH stops and his Carlito with a Facebuster before springing off the ropes and taking him down with a massive falling Clothesline. HHH tags in Hardy who ducks under a Carlito clothesline and quickly steps up the turnbuckles before nailing the fuzzy haired one with a Whisper In The Wind. Kennedy suddenly rushes the ring and slams into Hardy but HHH comes in aswell and knocks him on his ass before doing the same to an on-rushing Umaga. HHH then drags Hardy to his own corner and tags himself in. He makes a beeline for Carlito and hits him with a Pedigree before making the cover and eliminating Carlito in the 16th minute. Kennedy enters the ring, meaning business, but immediately missed with a Clothesline and is Spinebusted by HHH who then tags in Hardy. Hardy goes for a Swanton Bomb but Kennedy rolls out of the way and gets a nearfall on Hardy. Kennedy wails down fists on Hardy and after a couple of minutes of battling Hardy gets the upper hand and drops Kennedy with a Twist Of Fate. He slowly goes to the top turnbuckle, too slow as Kennedy swipes his leg and Hardy falls with a leg either side of the buckle cover. Kennedy climbs up and lifts Hardy onto his shoulders looking for the Green Bay Plunge but Hardy slides down and clubs Kennedy across the back. Kennedy gets in an elbow and turns to face Hardy but Hardy hits a few punches before landing one last one that sends Kennedy falling to the canvas. Hardy quickly soars through the air and hits Kennedy with a Swanton Bomb and makes the cover to eliminate Kennedy in the 19th minute. Umaga enters the ring and stops Hardy as he tries to tag in HHH. Umaga grabs Hardy's leg but Hardy hits Umaga with a Mule Kick and leaps to tag in HHH. HHH determinedly steps into the ring and faces Umaga. The Samoan roars at HHH and runs at him full speed but is met with a Spinebuster. HHH waits for Umaga to get up and kicks him in the gut before forcing his head between his legs and looking around briefly at the crowd who cheer. HHH hits the Pedigree and makes the cover eliminating Umaga and earning the win for his team! Randy, tonight you face John Cena for the WWE Title inside a Hell In A Cell. What are your thoughts on facing Cena in such a brutal environment tonight? Randy Orton Maria, if I'm honest, it's not something you look forward to. These matches shorten careers and in extreme cases, end careers, but tonight something much bigger is going to happen. John Cena has been the WWE Champion now for longer than I care to remember and it's about time someone brought in a new era, if you will, and there is only one man capable of ushering in a whole new era.... me. Tonight, not only will I defeat John Cena inside Hell In A Cell, but I will end his career with one quick kick to the head, that is a promise. One more thing I'd like to point out, is the touching scene we saw earlier on tonight, Triple H and Ric Flair embracing, congratulating and wishing each other luck. It proves exactly why the rest of Evolution wanted me out of the group, because they knew I was the top star in that group, and while Triple H and Ric Flair are excited and smiling about being involved in tag team matches tonight, I am the one competing for World Titles, I am the one competing in the toughest matches the WWE has to offer..... I am the one bringing a whole new era to the WWE... a better era.... the Orton era..... Orton smiles smugly and turns to walk away only for the smile to disappear when Batista turns up with his World Title across his shoulder. It focuses on how Kane is on a hugely impressive streak, pretty much destroying everyone put before him in a way he hasn't done for years. We see the confusion from a few weeks back on Smackdown when Batista accidentally Speared Kane, the gesture returned by 'The Big Red Machine' courtesy of a Chokeslam on the champion. We see how the pair amicably patches things up, knowing that neither man meant any arm, whilst always having an eye on the other, especially during a match in which they teamed up. The first 3 or so minutes are pretty standard as both men look to gain the upper hand on their opponent. The pair trade Shoulder barges, knocking the other man down but not really getting anywhere as these two big superstars realise they couldn't be more evenly matched. Batista starts to gain an advantage as he blocks Kane in a corner and delivers right hand after right hand but Kane suddenly unleashes a vicious Uppercut to send the champion stumbling backwards. Kane bolts straight for Batista but the champion explodes with a Clothesline and gains a 1 & 1/2 count from the official. Both men get to their feet and Kane whips Batista to the ropes and delivers another Uppercut to the champion as he springs back, this one knocking the champion down. Kane, maybe surprisingly goes for a submission hold, grounding the champion with his hands around Batista's neck and his legs wrapped right around 'The Animal's' middle, the grip getting tighter every time Batista breathes out. Batista summons the energy to fight back and gets back to his feet before breaking Kane's hold with a few elbows to the ribs. He turns and lifts Kane, driving him up and into the corner against the turnbuckle where he proceeds to drive his shoulder into Kane's midriff. Batista pulls Kane out and whips him to the ropes but as he ducks for a presumed backflip, Kane stops and quickly DDT's Batista into the canvas before scoring a 2 count. Todd Grisham Ladies and gentlemen, we are not far off the hotly anticipated Hell In A Cell match between John Cena and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship, and with me at this time, is the WWE Champion, John Cena. John, we heard earlier on tonight from your opponent Randy Orton, who says that a new era will begin here tonight at Survivor Series when he wins the WWE Title from you, and I'd just like to get your response on that and your thoughts on this huge match that awaits you tonight John Cena Todd. This is new ground for me. I've found myself in all sorts of situations in the WWE but to be inside Hell In A Cell tonight will be a completely new experience, and although I wouldn't normally agree with Randy Orton, it's true to say that I am not looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong, Todd, everybody knows that I have gone through hell time after time to win and retain championships but this is something... different, something... evil. Hell In A Cell.. it doesn't matter who wins, no one leaves without becoming a victim to the brutal nature of the beast and who knows, maybe I will be carried out of that ring tonight, but as sure as I have red blood coursing through my veins, I will do whatever it takes to keep hold of that WWE Title. I've been WWE Champion now for 14 months and one day, Todd and I hope to keep that going as long as I can. Randy Orton can talk about new eras, new auras, dynasties, destinies, prophecies, dreams, hopes, THE WHOLE DAMN NINE YARDS......... but it's going to take a hell of a lot for me not to walk out tomorrow night on Raw unable to stand in that ring in front of the great WWE fans ans proclaim once again, when all is said and done.... However, the 1 keeps flashing up briefly before the word 'DAY' starts flashing up in different areas of the screen for merely a split second at a time. Beth out-powers Candice in the early going, impressively lifting the champion above her head at one stage before dropping her on her front. Candice works her way back into the match as Beth misses a clothesline allowing the champion to hit a Dropkick that knocks Beth through the top two ropes and down to the floor. Beth is angry and storms back into the ring and straight into a rollup from Candice, but manages to kick out just in time. Beth takes control straight after as she delivers forearms to Candice's face before pushing her into the corner. She drives her shoulder into Candice's gut before whipping her to the opposite corner and looking to follow it up with a running Clothesline, but Candice lifts a foot up into Beth's face. The champion looks to follow it up but Beth picks her up and hits a Side Slam before making a token cover for a 2 count. Beth pulls Candice up by the hair and whips her to the ropes but Candice grabs them and stops her momentum. Beth runs at her but Candice forearms her in the face before kicking her in the gut. The champion darts at Beth but 'The Glamazon' ducks and as the pair both turn to come face to face, Phoenix kicks Candice in the gut and lifts her up for the Delayed Fishermans Suplex, but Candice manages to wriggle free just in time and fall behind Beth. We see clips from their match at No Mercy where Cena retained the title with a little help from the returning HBK in a Last Man Standing Match as well as Orton's numerous attempts to attack and brutalise the champion at every given opportunity. The video ends by showing Cena beat Carlito in a No DQ Match this past week on Raw after which Orton stood and stared at the champion, leading to Cena snapping somewhat and destroying Carlito to send a message to 'The Legend Killer' who just watched the assault through soulless eyes We fade back into the arena where the lights have been dimmed and we see the Hell In A Cell structure being lowered from the rafters as blueish lights flash around the building....... Randy Orton makes his way out, loud boos from the crowd not bringing him out of his focused walk towards the ring as he surveys the demonic structure hanging overhead. Once in the ring there seems an eternity before John Cena comes bouncing out on stage to the excitement of the crowd, an energy that the champion clearly feeds off as he makes his way to the ring, he too looking humbled by the presence of the huge contraption that is waiting to envelope both men inside it JR Ladies and gentlemen, the electricity in the air tonight is huge... After a brief stare-down they both back away and circle each other before hooking up. They both vie for position, pushing each other towards the corner in an effort to trap their opponent against the turnbuckle but neither man can overpower the other and they go from corner to corner until eventually pushing each other away and regrouping. The pair hook up again but this time Orton immediately gets Cena in a headlock. Cena pushes Orton against the ropes and hits him with a Flying Shoulder Tackle. Orton rolls out of the ring to regroup as Cena smiles at Orton as he paces around the outside of the ring looking annoyed. Orton slowly slithers back into the ring and the pair again hook up. Orton again gets Cena in a Headlock and Cena again pushes him to the ropes, only this time Orton looks to hit a surprise RKO. Cena pushes Orton away and 'The Legend Killer' stops himself on the ropes before turning to smugly grin at the champion. The to'ing and fro'ing continues for the first few minutes of the match as both men look to take control, trading punches and clotheslines but neither pulling out any big moves. Orton gains the first advantage by ducking a clothesline and hitting Cena with an Inverted Headlock Backbreaker. Cena is down near the ropes so Orton baseball slides him to the outside where the champion lands heavily on his right shoulder. Orton seems more confident and follows Cena outside where he stomps on Cena a few times before dragging him to his feet and slamming his head off the ring apron. Cena blocks an Orton punch and looks to whip Orton towards the steps, but it's countered and Cena hits the steps right shoulder first, dislodging the top set from the bottom. Orton drags Cena up again and rams him up against the side of the cell and the champion falls backwards. Orton lifts him back up and marches Cena back to the side of the cell and rakes his forehead over the unforgiving steel, doing so with that soulless look we're all used to. Orton stomps on all of Cena's joints, wearing the champion down on the outside before rooting around under the apron. He comes up holding a chair and walks slowly towards his prey with the chair hanging in his right hand. Cena stumbles to his feet and turns, ducking just as Orton swipes the chair at his head, 'The Legend Killer' slamming the chair straight into the ringpost and dropping it before shaking his wrists from the impact. He doesn't get chance to do this for long, though as he turns around straight into a kick to the gut before Cena suplexes Orton onto the mats. Cena isn't able to immediately follow up but does get to his feet first and hits Orton with several punches before looking to Irish Whip Orton up against he side of the cell but Orton regains control by countering it and Cena runs head on into the steel. Orton goes back under the ring and pulls out a table which he slides into the ring before picking up Cena and tossing him under the bottom rope. Orton gets back into the ring and sets up the table, but he takes a bit too long and Cena clubs him across the back. Orton counters an Irish Whip and Cena bounces back off the ropes, ducking an Orton clothesline, Orton leaps over Cena as he bounces back again but as he turns, Cena springs off the ropes a third time and takes Orton down with a Flying Shoulder Tackle, knocking Orton back to the outside. Cena slowly follows him out, shaking his right arm and slapping at his right shoulder before picking Orton back up to his feet, but Orton explodes with a European Uppercut before pushing Cena right shoulder first into the steel ringpost. Orton drops to his knees briefly, trying to regain his energy before heading back towards Cena. Orton forcefully kicks Cena's shoulder a few times before going back under the ring again, pulling out another chair. Orton stands over Cena and drives the chair across his back making sure some of it hits Cena's right shoulder. Orton is asserting his control over the champion here and disrespectfully shoves at Cena's head with the sole of his boot, almost toying with him before pondering his next move. Orton throws Cena back into the ring and picks up the first chair he tried to use and slides that in too. He doesn't pick it up, though instead pushing Cena to the corner and kicking him in the gut a few times before climbing over him and raining down several punches before dismounting the champion. Orton whips Cena to the opposite corner and looks to follow it up but Cena lifts up a boot to Orton's face. Orton stumbles back and Cena charges at him but Orton suddenly leaps and hits a perfect Standing Dropkick on Cena who falls back into the corner of the ring. Cena is between a sitting and lying position with his head resting just above the bottom turnbuckle. Orton places his right boot against Cena's throat and holds the ropes for added pressure as he pushes his boot right against Cena's windpipe. The referee can do nothing about it given the match type and Orton does it for a good 10 seconds before removing his boot. Cena lies red faced in the corner, spluttering slightly as Orton paces around considering his next attack. He actually changes pace a bit by pulling Cena out from the corner and getting the champion in a Headlock down on the mat, Cena just about getting a finger between Orton's forearm and his own throat. After a minute or two, Cena starts to find some energy and gets to his feet despite Orton still having the hold locked in. Cena elbows Orton in the gut and breaks free before bouncing off the ropes and hitting a Throwback on Orton. Cena slowly climbs to the middle turnbuckle as Orton gets up and looks to hit Orton with a Legdrop across the back of the neck but Orton dodges it and Cena lands hard on the canvas. Orton immediately goes about stomping on all of Cena's joints before dropping a knee to Cena's chest twice. He makes a cover which Cena kicks out of at 2, expending further energy before Orton goes back to a Headlock. Cena again fights back and this time manages to free his head once up and counters behind Orton before hitting a Spinout Side Slam, a move he would normally hit during his '5 moves of doom', but using it here out of desperation. He can't counter, though having endured what he has so far and simply takes the chance of a breather. The pair get to their feet together and Orton pushes Cena into the corner before lifting Cena up onto the turnbuckle. He goes up himself before helping Cena up further, right to the top before wrapping his arm around the champions head and turning to look at the table that he set up earlier in the match. He goes for the suplex but Cena blocks it with his leg. Orton tries again but Cena's not going anywhere and punches Orton in the ribs a few times, before having the space to punch Orton in the jaw a few times. One final punch and Orton falls backwards, missing the table but landing on his back. He pulls himself up on the table as Cena steadies himself and as Orton reaches a half stood position crouched over the table, Cena jumps and connects with a Legdrop across Orton's neck, putting both 'The Legend Killer' and himself through the table Cena makes the cover amongst the debris but he takes far too long to do so and only gets a two count from Mike Chioda. Cena rolls away from Orton and rests himself in the corner to re-energise, his head against the turnbuckle for a short while. He turns and slowly makes his way back towards a stirring Orton who has crawled out of the debris. Cena drags Orton up and is stood behind him when Orton suddenly turns and smashes Cena with a steel chair he'd brought in earlier..... JR What evil intentions are in the mind of Randy Orton now? Orton climbs back into the ring and picks up the steps, lifting them over his head once Cena is up to his feet, but the champion Drop Toe Holds Orton and 'The Legend Killer' drops the steps to the canvas as his head bounces off them in the triangular groove in the middle. Orton bounces back up from this and turns, wobbly legged, right into a kick to the gut from Cena. The Champion bounces off the ropes and hits a Throwback on Orton, bouncing right back up to his feet and looking around the crowd before crouching down over Orton and signaling a You Can't See Me. Cena bounces off the ropes.... JR Five Knuckle Shuffle from Cena! Orton gets up and Cena lifts him up on his shoulders, but stumbles towards the ropes which Orton grabs. Cena tries to forcefully pull Orton back to the middle of the ring but Orton's grip is too tight and Cena instead flips Orton over the top rope. Cena gathers himself before walking over the the ropes, but Orton is up by them and grabs Cena's leg, tripping him over, and pulls him under the rope to the outside before driving Cena kidney first into the ring apron. Orton grabs Cena's right arm and drags him to the steel ringpost before swinging his arm around it with force. Cena climbs into the ring to create distance but Orton is hot on his heels. Orton goes for Cena but the champ lifts him up into the FU position. Orton slides down Cena's back and goes for an RKO but Cena avoids it by pushing Orton away. Orton suddenly turns and bolts at Cena looking to hit a clothesline but Cena ducks and Orton accidentally clatters into Mike Chioda..... King Orton just took out the referee, JR! JR As much as I don't like Orton's methods, I believe that was purely accidental! Orton stares down at Chioda for a few short seconds, perhaps looking almost sorry for the accident but quickly turns back to face Cena... JR Steel Chair to Orton's skull! King But it's no use, JR, the referee is down! Cena starts to look like he's going for the cover but looks at Chioda and a look of resignation washes over his face. He stumbles over to the official and shakes him but gets no reaction. What a scene we have: steel steps in the ring, chairs, small pieces of wood from the destroyed table-the main parts having been removed by Chioda at an opportune moment and two extremely weary combatants. Cena frustratingly goes to a corner to again recoup and get his breath back. Orton starts to stir and Cena goes towards him but Orton grabs the buckle of his shorts and pulls him through the ropes to the outside. Both men take their time again to regain themselves, Orton inside the ring, Cena out. Cena starts to climb up the ring apron but Orton makes his way over and grabs him but Cena puts his hands around Orton's neck and jumps back off the apron, slingshotting Orton's throat onto the top rope. Cena climbs back onto the apron as Orton turns around clutching at his throat and the champion looks to enter the ring through the top two ropes but Orton kicks him in the gut and wraps his arm around Cena's head before dragging him through so his feet are just resting on the middle rope.... King We've seen this before.... JR DDT off the middle rope and Orton senses blood! Orton backs off to the corner as Cena starts to stir and gets to his hands and knees. Orton stubs the point of his right boot into the canvas.... King Cena's lights about to go out! Orton goes for the Punt Kick but Cena lifts his head out of the way and Orton stops his momentum with his hands on the ropes and immediately turns around... JR Cena lifting Orton onto his shoulders..... King No, Orton's broke free... JR RKO!!! And Orton goes for he cover... Orton hooks Cena's leg but there's no referee to make the count and Orton throws Cena's leg back down, the frustration visible on Orton's face. Orton goes over and shakes the referee, even slapping at the back of his head, but to no avail. H heads back towards Cena who suddenly drops Orton with a Drop Toe Hold.... JR STFU.... Cena's got it locked in..... Orton is in pain and desperately paws at Cena's hands, trying to break the hold but Cena has it locked in....... JR Orton's tapping, Orton's tapping.... but we've got no damn referee Cena keeps the STFU locked right in.... King Orton's fading, JR, Cena isn't releasing his grip..... Orton looks out JR If John Cena can somehow rouse Mike Chioda he'll win the match right here, King! Cena does once more try to rouse Mike Chioda and spends a good 45 seconds doing so. Orton starts to writhe and splutters and coughs as he lies on the canvas. Cena shakes Chioda vigorously and the referee appears to start moving, very slowly inching towards the corner as Cena goes back over to Orton. Cena grabs Orton's leg and goes straight back to the STFU but Orton manages to just stop Cena from getting his hands fully in place this time and somehow drags Cena over to the corner where Orton grabs the ropes. Orton does a sort of Press Up on the ropes and manages to roll underneath Cena and send the champion falling to his knees and face first into the middle turnbuckle. Both men stumble to their feet slowly and Cena turns around.... JR RKO from Orton... Orton takes his time making the cover but does so after a good 7 or 8 seconds, Mike Chioda looks out of it but has enough about him to crawl slowly over and after what seems an age starts to make the (slow) count.... ONE............... TWO.............. THRE............... JR Cena kicks out....... King How much more do either of these men have, JR! Orton looks almost in tears he's that frustrated and exhausted, and he picks up a steel chair, stalking Cena as he slowly gets up..... King This will do it.... Cena ducks the chair shot and lifts Orton onto his shoulders, stumbling over to the side of the steel steps..... King Can Cena do it...... JR No! Orton's managed to break loose again, an... and.. RKO!! RKO ONTO THE STEEL STEPS King My God! Orton has RKO'd Cena over the steel steps, his own back just crashed into the corner of the steel steps... JR Cover by Orton.... referee Mike Chioda slowly getting in position, are we about to have a new champion...... ONE................ JR Has Cena got anything left..... TWO............. King I think it's over..... THREE!!!!! JR BY GAWD IT IS! ORTON WINS! The bell rings as Randy Orton's music blasts out into the arena although 'The Legend Killer' is in no state to celebrate...... Winner And NEW WWE Champion: Randy Orton In 22:45 King I'm not even sure Orton realises, he's been through so much JR Both men have been through hell here tonight, King! Mike Chioda has just about managed to make it over to the ropes and is handed the WWE Title which he delivers to Orton who still seems a little non out of it. Chioda puts the belt in Orton's hands as he stumbles away holding his own neck. Orton looks down and embraces the title against his chest, a screwed up face showing his pain, joy and exhaustion all in one as the sadistic steel structure is lifted from around the ring..... JR Randy Orton is the new champion.... thank you all for joining us for what has been an amazing night at Survivor Series..... good night and god bless.... We see Orton hugging the title for a few more moments as he sits propped up against the turnbuckle before Survivor Series fades out FINAL RATING B+ 5 vs 5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match Team Flair bt Team Burke Ric Flair & CM Punk survive Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch bt Paul London & Brian Kendrick, The Worlds Greatest Tag Team and Cryme Tyme to retain the World Tag Team Championships Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Ladder Match MVP bt Matt Hardy to retain the United States Championship 5 vs 5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match Team Triple H bt Team Umaga Triple H & Jeff Hardy survive World Heavyweight Championship Kane bt Batista by DQ following outside interference Batista retains the World Heavyweight Championship Candice Michelle bt Beth Phoenix to retain the WWE Womens Championship WWE Championship Randy Orton bt John Cena to WIN the WWE Championship Hell In A Cell

Thanks to everyone who predicted for Survivor Series, hope you all enjoyed it, and here are the prediction results. takerlives77 3/7 Lexa90 3/7 BoomKing 3/7 Doe-Bomb 4/7 bigalbass86 2/7 Congrats to Doe-Bomb for getting most right and I'm quite pleased to say that 4/7 was the best anyone did, as it clearly means I'm not being predictable :D I think everyone picked Batista to win, but I haven't given anyone a mark for that even though he retained the belt, as Kane technically won by DQ due to interference. I admit that was probably impossible for anyone to see coming, unless you really tried to read anything into me using the poster with Edge on it, but that was highly unlikely :D

'The Legend Killer' Randy Orton defeated John Cena in an epic Hell In A Cell Match last night and is sure to be on top of the world, but John Cena will undoubtedly have designs on recapturing the belt he held for more than 14 months, and bringing the Orton Era to a crashing halt. Jeff Hardy will defend his Intercontinental Title tonight on Raw against Mr Kennedy, whom he eliminated last night in the 5 versus 5 Elimination Match. Kennedy has been somewhat of a thorn in Hardy's side of late and will look to become even more so by capturing the prestigious title. Despite the carnage of last night, Paul London & Brian Kendrick will take on The Worlds Greatest Tag Team tonight on Raw. London pulled off the move of the night at Survivor Series, hitting a Shooting Star Press on Shelton Benjamin as he lay across a ladder, causing both men untold agony. Which team will put themselves right back in to Tag Team Title contention tonight on Raw? Beth Phoenix is reported to be in a foul mood today, having lost her match against Candice Michelle for the Womens Title at Survivor Series. Mickie James is the, perhaps unfortunate, opponent of 'The Glamazon' tonight. Mickie will be looking to inflict further anguish on Phoenix after 'The Glamazon' slapped Mickie across the face last night. 'The Heart Break Kid' Shawn Michaels will be in action tonight against one of the men he opposed last night, King Booker. HBK hit Booker with some Sweet Chin Music at Survivor Series and will be looking to repeat that tonight. Over the past couple of months, both Raw and Smackdown have been interrupted on several occasions by unexplained videos appearing on the titantron, and last night at Survivor Series, we were lead to believe that we would finally find out the source of these cryptic messages tonight on Raw. Finally, we have heard from several sources that Mr McMahon has installed a new permanent GM on Raw, the position having been left open now for some time. Are these rumours true? and if so, just who has McMahon awarded the job to? Tune in to Monday Night Raw to find out! Hey man, cool show with Survivor Series there. I think it's such an important show as it is so easy to set up new storylines without harming the show or matches at all, like Jeff and Triple H who I'm betting will have some sort of thing over the next few months. Interested to see who gets the GM job, the obvious choices are Foley, Austin, Bischoff, Heyman but I sense a bit of a swerve and someone knew. Hopefully not Bret Hart, though. I just can't see him wanting to come back, you know? And surely this video thing is Jericho? I like that you've taken it a different angle from real life though, and I'm sure you will explain what these messages mean. I look forward to how you use him because he has proven over the last 8 months or so how he is pretty much a god. Jeff Hardy (C) vs Mr Kennedy - Intercontinental Championship Screwy ending I reckon to shake it up a bit. Jeff is going to get a bit of a push and Kennedy could do with a rub off it I think Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs The Worlds Greatest Tag Team To set up a match with the champions, while WGTT fall apart so Shelton can become a singles competitor Mickie James vs Beth Phoenix Needs to look dominant 'HBK' Shawn Michaels vs King Booker Booker seems to have been pushed back to the midcard after his feud with Triple h whereas Michaels is an absolute legend. Perhaps he becomes Orton's first challenger? Looks to be a good show so far.

Jeff Hardy (C) vs Mr Kennedy - Intercontinental Championship Via DQ methinks Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs The Worlds Greatest Tag Team L&K seem to have more love from you in this diary, plus it sets up a face vs heel titles match Mickie James vs Beth Phoenix A flukey win keeps James looking like a challenger & can play into a storyline in which Beth snaps 'HBK' Shawn Michaels vs King Booker The Bookman is now a midcarder. Michaels is the 'main-event' I too have to guess that its Chris Jericho we're about to see make a return, but you're spin on things has made it more unconclusive.

I come bearing news, it's up to you readers if it's good or bad, but I have really been wrestling (pun intended) over the past few days with finishing tgis diary and taking a break with the intention of starting a new diary that would start the night after the Rumble and I would start posting the diary from just prior to Wrestlemania. I have several reasons for this. I've never been able to keep a streak going with this diary of posting my shows at a regular pace and have therefore not been able to get into a flow, more so with PPV's when it takes me two weeks to write them and if I'm honest, I've lost a bit of love for this diary because of that. It's a shame because I have plans for this diary up until 2 or 3 months after Mania 24 but considering I started this diary at around about a month after the GAB actually happened and now I'm around 14 months behind real life, that says quite alot. I have had so many ideas popping around my head regards a new diary from which I would have some very solid story lines to work from. HBK -JBL, The Hardy feud, Orton and the McMahons etc. The only real 'story' I personally feel anything for now is these cryptic videos that have been popping up. If I do go ahead and finish this diary, I'm going to still post the next Raw just so people can see where I was leading (and ofcourse reveal the source of the videos) I was actually 100% set on the new diary and then when I saw Keefy's feedback it really made me have a second think, and then finding Doe-Bomb's feedback today has cast fresh doubt also. I can't believe I'm still getting these kind of responses from you guys when it takes so long between shows, the fact you're still reading makes me think, hold on I'm doing something right but I've just fallen so far behind that I've lost alot of feeling to this diary. Taking a break and then coming back to this diary is not an option as anything that is still there will just fizzle out during the break and it will never get started again anyway. I'm looking at planning how I could do everything for a new diary, things I never properly considered when I started this one up. I've always had plans for where my PPV's are heading but not so much how I will build it each week on Raw and Smackdown and I come to booking these shows and have to suddenly figure out 'how am going to suddenly have person c come in and challenge person a without completely killing person b's build' I would be modding TEW up so that everything was how it was around the Rumble, all the correct wrestlers in the WWE etc. Also I would be back in the position of having ECW brand, I know Keefy wasn't a fan of me binning ECW in the first week of the diary but I would actually keep it in the new diary and build it properly. Now you'll be thinking, hold on you can't post regularly with 2 shows a week let alone chucking ECW back in there, but as I say I have a plan as to how I'm going to be able to keep to schedule that I've never been able to implement in this current diary. Anyway I feel I've rambled enough now, as I say I'm going to post the next Raw, but that will probably be that for this diary. I'm also going to make a far more concerted effort to read other people's diaryies. I've always checked out Keefy's but that's the only one I check out and I never get around to predicting etc. Anyway, I'd like to think Lexa, Doe-Bomb, Keefy, Tripps04 and any other regulars who have enjoyed this diary enough to stay tuned will be happy to check out my new diary and be even more happy that I'm doing a diary that's updated regularly :D The start of the second to last paragraph I apologises for rambling on so this really is time to stop typing :D p.s. I'll also after Raw, post a summary of the next few months to show where I was going with it all, just to quell any curious minds :D

My vote is for you to do what ever makes you happy. If you want a fresh start then take it. I know when I play I struggle to get anywhere near as far as you. Mainly for the same reasons, I have all these ideas just too little time. Then I get bored and start again. Good luck on the new one and I will be a reader. Thanks for all the months of reading goodness.

As for the months of reading goodness as you so kindly put it, it's just a shame it was a few months of goodness spread over 18 months :D
