Welcome to my world……. A lot has happened in the wrestling world since the turn of 2008, and as we enter the April of 2009, perhaps I should fill you all in. We have 3 main promotions. Perhaps a “Big 2” and a young pretender to the crown. And the main change of all, the steady decrease in angles, skits and general crap which wrestling was known for. Instead, increased competition saw the matches actually get interesting. The household guys tore the houses down, and even the hosses pulled out all the stops. In 2008, the WWE entered a very rocky patch. Loss of all three tv shows, and no current replacements to date, and the WWE looked to be on a downward spiral. The brand split ended, and the WWE fell to cult level. Stars left (more later) such as Randy Orton, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, The Undertaker to name but 4, and no replacements of real star quality were available. But did Vince McMahon and co wither away? NO! – They fought back, the matches became outstanding, stars were signing new deals to stay with the company, things are now looking up. The turnaround was complete, the WWE grew vigorously back to Global Level and now boasts some incredible action. With the ‘E’s fall and rise, we saw the steady growth of TNA pay dividends, fantastic matches with Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Christian Cage saw TNA creating new stars, and new fans. And with the fall of the WWE, many renowned stars of the wrestling world began to “gamble” on TNA, such as the names we listed earlier. A new TV Show, TNA Nitro, that ran for 2 hours took over the wrestling mantelpiece, and offered the very best action in the wrestling world from guys such as Jeff Hardy, CM Punk & Sting. WWE had no answer, a stale product, until now. But with TNA’s rise, another company was born, NWA Pro. The brainchild of a man simply known as “The Ego”. Branded under the NWA Franchise, NWA Pro (at Cult Level) was born in the July of 2008. Kurt Angle, at the time TNA World Champion was one of the founders of the company and therefore became the new face of NWA. The new company was making waves in the wrestling world, signing such stars as Robert Roode, Nick Dinsmore and Sabu. But tragedy struck in December 2008, when Kurt Angle was found dead at an NWA houseshow. He was the current NWA Heavyweight Champ, but this news only added more intrigue into NWA Pro. Since the turn of 2009, NWA Pro has debuted 2 TV Shows and introduced the only current brand split in the US, and has attracted stars such as Randy Orton, Cactus Jack & Bill Goldberg. Goldberg thought he had the match one, only for rude to reverse the jackhammer for the win. Also Randy Orton thwarted the challenge of the man, who is fighting in the honour of his deceased pal, Kurt Angle, that man is Charlie Haas. Haas unfortunately though, came up short on this occasion as Randy Orton retained his NWA World Title. Mike Mizanin alson beat Nick Dinsmore for the right to fight for the NWA US Heavyweight Championship the following night…. NWA United States – On Setanta Monday, Week 1 April 09 Robert Roode was forced by US General Manager Teddy Long, to put his title on the line here tonight, against Mike Mizanin, a man who 24 hours previously, beat Roode’s “Alliance” partner – Nick Dinsmore! Mizanin tok advantage of the beating Roode took at the hands of Goldberg, last night, but outta no where, Dinsmore hit ringside!! Mizanin lost focus and was hit with the roll up for Roode to retain!! At SuperBrawl, the “Future Legend” Nick Hogan announced to the world he had a new running buddy….that man SHAQ!! And they then teamed as they beat Roderick Strong and Sabu, but tonight, they beat the dominant team of Sapp & Shamrock to win the NWA US Tag Team Straps!! NWA Worldwide - On ABC Friday, Week 1 April 09 A remarkable four titles were on the line here on Worldwide, Don Callis brought 2 of his brood in Anthony Carelli & Anoai to the ring to try to grab those NWA World Tag Team Titles, from Team Extreme, but Bubba & Devon came with a vengeance to Worldwide. Also the most promising star in the US today, NWA TV Champion Takeshi Morishima defeated Lance Storm, in a rare appearance from the Canadian superstar. Charlie Haas, couldn’t let sleeping dogs lie, as he challenged Orton for his title once again, Orton arrogantly accepted, saying “I could beat not only You, Haas, but another man aswell….” So Bob Holly accepted that challenge!! Orton got the job done with the aid of a knocked out Charles Robinson and the use of his title belt. Cactus Jack also beat Sabu to retain his Extreme Title.
Your style is VERY unique, but I must say I like it. I kinda wish there was more explanation on the matches, since a lot of the people I'm not accustomed to- and since their in a new promotion yadada, and no angles?
Senka, thanks for the words, Yes this is going to be unique, its gonna be a very fast moving diary of the wrestling world, as opposed to a "dynasty" as such. We will be following NWA Pro, but also will see and visit WWE & TNA at certain times with PPV results, hirings and firings etc.... No angles yes, in this world i was the booker of TNA previously, before i started NWA Pro, and dropped all angles, and the wrestling world seemed to boom, and TNA flourished, so perhaps in this world - angles are maybe old hat?? You will see various news items at certain times introducing characters etc. I have a post coming introducing both brands and their stars.

Introducing NWA Pro’s United States Brand, arguably the secondary brand of the promotion. NWA United States airs Live on a Monday Night at 10.30pm on the Setanta Sports Channel, and is announced by Michael Hayes, Josh Matthews & Joel Gertner. NWA United States Power 10 1. Robert Roode The Current NWA US Heavyweight Champion is on a role and undefeated in singles competition in NWA Pro. He has defeated Kurt Angle, Bill Goldberg & Randy Savage to name but 3 men, on his way to 24 defenses of his title. Is seen as the number one face on this brand. Will he ever face Randy Orton? 2. Bill Goldberg The Man, the Beast, the Warrior – Goldberg. Has single handedly destroyed every man that Bobby Heenan (see down list) has thrown at him and even had time to take on, and fail, Robert Roode. Dominant. 3. Mike Mizanin w/ Sid The former WWE’r made an instant impact in NWA Pro by enlisting Sid Vicious as a body guard. Since then, has feuded with Roode over the NWA title. With Sid by his side, and watching his back, a future shot at the NWA US Title must not be far away! 4. Mistico The superstar of the top rope, Mistico has come to NWA Pro and dominated the Cruiserweight ranks, Shannon Moore, Super Crazy, Sean Waltman, the list goes on, as Mistico fights on. 5. Nick Dinsmore The co-founder (with Robert Roode) of the Alliance. Dinsmore has been a man on a mission in NWA Pro, although over shadowed by Roode’s dominance, Dinsmore has battled Goldberg, Mizanin and Kurt Angle to great success and was the first NWA World Heavyweight Champion. 6. Nick Hogan & Shaquille O’Neal w/ Brooke Hogan Nick & Brooke Hogan debuted a couple of months ago, and have since been joined by “The Star of All” Shaq, the team won the NWA US Tag Titles a 7. The Heenan Family Bobby Heenan is a man who has done it all, and now he is leading his new “family” into NWA Pro. Gene Snitsky, Chuck Palumbo and Sean O’Haire make the protégés, for Heenan, although the Family has yet to find gold, you would rule it out in the near future. 8. Ken Shamrock & Bob Sapp 2 Men that have beaten the odds, time and time again, they found themselves thrown together a few short months ago, and haven’t looked back since, “Dominance” is a word that would some up this team, and you wouldn’t bet against either man lifting gold again soon. The two have Nick Hogan & Shaq firmly in their sights! 9. Blade Hart w/ Alexa Hart Son of Bret Hart, Daughter of Bret Hart. That sums up Blade Hart and his sister valet, Alexandra, or Alexa, as shes affectionately known by the NWA Pro fans. Blade has seen the fans get right behind him since his debut on NWA US, and with the Pure title already around his waist, you wouldn’t bet against him in the future. The Legacy says it all. 10. Michael Hayes The voice of NWA United States.

Good idea with the Power 10 and champion stuff, and I really like how you are using a lot more text this time around. If you keep going like this you've got a really good diary on your hands, so keep it up. PS: Is it a little much to ask for Shaq to bring around the Shazam gimmick?

Introducing NWA Pro’s Worldwide Brand, arguably the primary brand of the promotion. NWA Worldwide airs Live on a Friday Night at 10.00pm on ABC, and is announced by Joey Styles & Larry Zybysko. NWA Worldwide Power 10 1. Randy Orton The NWA World Heavyweight Champion is undefeated since entering the NWA Pro ring. He brings unrivaled athleticism, but also deep arrogance. He has beaten every man in his path so far, and surely only a matter of time before the young lion Morishima is thrown against the man, Randy Orton. 2. Cactus Jack The Living Icon, Mick Foley, returned to the ring on a Full Time basis a few short months ago and has since taken a turn to the dark side, set on destruction and craving pain, Cactus Jack cannot be taken lightly. 3. Charlie Hass The man carrying the legacy of his mentor, Kurt Angle. Haas has stacked up A* matches since his inception into NWA Pro, and has got his sights set on some gold. 4. Chris Masters The Mastermind, Chris Masters has come to NWA Pro with one goal, to be the very best in the world. He wants to dominate the Worldwide brand with force, and is doing just that. 5. Bob Holly The Hardcore Hero, Holly has fought for it all. Now in NWA Pro, theres no jokes, no image, just Bob Holly, and he’s gonna kick you’re a$$! Has his sights set taking the gold and making a name for himself in his own right. 6. Randy Savage The Legend, returns on occasion to NWA Pro, and puts up A* classics. Recently battled Robert Roode to the limit, before the brand split, he still has the mindset to be the best. 7. The Brood Led by Don Callis, the dark alliance of Sabu, Anoai (formerly Matt Anoai), Apolo & Anthony Carelli are targeting success and devestation in NWA Pro, and these targets are a regular occurrence. Trust these men at your mercy. 8. Takeshi Morishima The current NWA TV Champ, undefeated, unstoppable. He can beat you in a 1000 ways, and will. This man has no limits. He beat Anoai for the title, and has become a target for the Brood. But this mans targets must be higher, Orton perhaps?? 9. Team Extreme Bubba & Devon have done it all, NWA, WWE, ECW & World Tag Team Champions. Now cutting through the ranks that NWA has to offer. 10. Joey Styles The voice of NWA Worldwide.

Goldberg vs Roode. And Robert Roode pulled out all the stops…..or so he thought. Goldberg had the match won, only for Mike Mizanin (who had earlier cheated his way to victory over Nick Dinsmore) to sneak into the ring and take Goldberg’s leg from out, from under him. The referee Earl Hebner saw this and rung the bell. Both Goldberg & Roode looked on at the grinning Miz. Also the new NWA US Tag Team Champions Shaq & Nick Hogan thwarted the angry former champs, Sapp & Shamrock…..well with the help of Brooke Hogan, who distracted “Big” Bob Sapp….with her….charms!! This one is far from done. NWA Worldwide - On ABC Friday, Week 2 April 09 The Dark Brood led by Don Callis came in force to NWA US this week, as a special 4 man match was made, the Brood went 4 on 4 with the 4 Extremists, Ballas Mahoney, Tommy Dreamer, Steve Corino and Masato Tanaka. Corino managed to get the pinfall on Carelli. The big news was the return of Randy Savage, who wants one more shot at the gold, and live on television he got an opportunity to fight for a title shot against fellow contender, Chris Masters. Savage pulled out the stops one more time to hit the flying elbow for the pin. Savage vs Orton perhaps?? Also Randy Orton & Travis Tomko, led By Trish Stratus came up short against the NWA World Tag Team Champs, when Bubba hit Tomko for the fall, and Orton bailed, leaving Trish screaming at Orton, over a felled Tomko. Also, Cactus Jack & Bob Holly “got messy” when they fought all over the arena in the Main Event, with Jack nailing Holly with a Double Arm DDT through a car windscreen for the pin. TNA Nitro tore the house down when CM Punk & Johnny Hennigan battled in a dynamic 20minute match. CM Punk ran out the winner. This was a week for loyalty. Sting, Christopher Daniels Don West & Jonathan Coachman re-signed deals with TNA, and Antonio Banks aka MVP & Glen Jacobs aka Kane penned new 4 year deals with the WWE.

A bumper double main event saw the US Tag Champs, Shaq & Hogan defend their titles against “The Alliance” Robert Roode & Nick Dinsmore (who face off at Domination in just under 2 weeks time). The Alliance had the US Tag Team Titles won until Brooke Hogan climbed on the apron, only for the shocking twist, as Diamond Dallas Page hit the ring!! Behind the ref’s back he nailed a Diamond Cutter on Nick Dinsmore for the pin!!! DDP aligns with the Hollywood Stars of The Hogans & Shaq!!! Also we saw former US Tag Champs, Sapp & Shamrock scheduled to face The Heenan Family (Snitsky, Palumbo & O’Haire)……. The fans were in for a treat when the sides were evened when Bill Goldberg joined the side of Sapp & Shamrock! It was Sapp, though, who got the fall on Palumbo. Also “The Miz” challenged the NWA US Cruiserweight Champ, Mistico! NWA Worldwide - On ABC Friday, Week 3 April 09 To complete a week of amazing action from NWA Pro, Worldwide also boasted a bumper show. Firstly it must be said, what a talent Takeshi Morishima is. He was pushed to the limit by Corino and Tanaka, but the boy ground out another impressive pinfall. Also, Bob Holly vs Sabu…..WOW! Holly and Sabu beat themselves into oblivion here, and the fans were left chanting for more! The legendary Randy Savage also made a return to Worldwide with a super match with Shad, picking up the victory also. In the Main event, Randy Orton & his pal Tomko battled Ortons nemesis, Cactus Jack and his back up….Tommy Dreamer! Orton snaked the victory, but Cactus Jack won the battle with a revenge attack on Orton! – Who will win the war in less than 10 days time??? Week 3 – April 2009 A Recent internet poll voted Shawn Michaels as the best pound for pound wrestler in the world today. So no room for “Mr.25 Title Defenses” Robert Roode…..PAH! Another poll also voted Brian Kendrick as the best high flyer in the business. Surely Mistico could’nt have been far off??? Pro Wrestling Guerilla have risen to Regional Size. Samoa Joe has also recently signed an extension to his TNA Deal. Like has Chris Jericho, who will be laughing all the way to the bank with his contract extension. NWA Pro are rumoured to have signed a former World Tag Team Champion and former WWE Intercontinental Champion to a written deal. TNA Fallside this week, boasted a cracking Main Event which saw Sting just overcome the impressive CM Punk.

DDP stepped back into the ring to battle Nick Dinsmore, and the interference by Shaq allowed DDP to hit the Diamond Cutter for the pin. But where was Robert Roode’s assistance?! Also Robert Roode took on the c0cky, son of a gun, Nick Hogan in the main event, and although Brooke Hogan stuck her nose in, Roode pulled out yet another victory. With 6 days till Domination, Robert Roode & Nick Dinsmore have NOT co-existed. Is the “Alliance” coming to an end? Randy Orton geared up for his double title match this Sunday, with the NWA TV Champ Takeshi Morishima!! The match ended when Orton couldn’t beat Morishima for the 3 count, and ended up bringing a chair into the ring, and the ref Earl Hebner bailed!! Cactus Jack warmed up for Domination with the brutal win over Chris Masters. Also, sensationally, the new team of DOOM debuted, led by Don Callis, the pairing of Anoai & Fatu brutally beat Team Extreme for the NWA World Tag Team Titles, when Fatu hit the Doombreaker Drop on Bubba for the 3 count. Jake Roberts, Roderick Strong’s manager in NWA Pro, turned up very late to NWA Worldwide. The final Domination card will be posted soon…….

Great diary so far, I like the style of it. What's kinda strange is seeing a 'prestigious' championship like the US Heavyweight be defended often on free TV, but I suppose it does rack up the defences. Anyways, great diary, keep it up.
If 2009 is a place where Nick Hogan main events shows, then I don't want to be there. :D Great work so far, and I'm really looking forward to the Cactus Jack vs. Randy Orton match.
Lol, Hogan is a bit of a little sh1te. DDP will maybe add a little credibility to that group tho??? Orton vs Cactus will be awesome. Gotta be A* all the way. Who will claim both titles?! Also dont forget best friends, Roode & Dinsmore go one on. the NWA US Heavyweight Champ vs the very first NWA Pro World Heavyweight Champ!!! And tonight (UK time) ill release the full card, i have some cracking matches to announce.
