I figured I'd give some backstory here. This game was started using the Montreal Aftermath mod. Right now I'm in mid-2000, with CCW having been around since Dec 1997. I'm at Small level, about half-way to Regional (I think). The product is focused on matches, though I'm trying to evolve it into having some angles. This is going to be done in a sort of news story/press release kind of way. I may change that, though, so let me know what you think of the way the shows are done. I'll try to provide some history of CCW in the show reports themselves, and I'll try hard to get everyone caught up. With the lack of angles and only 3 titles, there isn't THAT much to keep track of. As for the game world, there are no Global Promotions. The only International ones are New Japan and All Japan Women's. AJPW, CMLL, and NOAH are all national. WWF, WCW, and ECW are all cult, as well as AAA. There's a pretty good variety of wrestling TV out there, although most of it is only show locally. The big shows are WWF Game Time and WCW Throwdown, both on TNN. A popular channel for Japanese wrestling is the Playboy channel, showing not only AJW's show, but also NJPW and NOAH. WWF's champions are: World: Jeff Jarrett IC: Henry O. Godwinn Tag Team: New Age Outlaws European: Test Arena: Miguel Perez Jr. WCW's champion's are: World: Sting US: Headhunter B Tag: La Parka and Hugh Morrus TV: Dave Taylor CW: La Parka ECW's champions are: World: La Parka TV: Mike Awesome Tag: Simon Diamond and Phil LaFon Anything else you want to know, just ask. First show will be up pretty soon.

CCW Universal Struggle Last night, from the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles, CA, California Championship Wrestling held their June event, 'Universal Struggle'. All CCW titles were on the line in a night of fast-paced action. Here are the results. First match of the night is a contest between Paul London and Nigel McGuiness. vs. Good opening contest with a lot of back-and-forth action, but nothing too exciting. Both men take control many times during the match. There were parts of the match where neither man seemed comfortable in the ring, and that didn't do a great deal for the quality of the match. After London crashes and burns on a Moonsault, McGuiness locks in a Crossface and London has no choice but to tap out. Your winner by submission at 8:49 is Nigel McGuiness. Next match is 'Iron Man' Ace Steel vs Samoa Joe. vs. Lots of holds and counters to start the match, followed by Joe hitting some hard kicks to the legs and body of Steel. Steel, though, manages to take control with a few big suplexes and clotheslines. He sets up for the Steel Spike, but gets nailed from behind by Joe's partner, Nigel McGuiness. The referee sees this and calls for the bell, signaling a DQ. Pure Perfection leave the ring as Steel gets up and gets his hand raised. Your winner by DQ at 9:56 is 'Iron Man' Ace Steel. We have our first title match of the night, as CM Punk and Low Ki defend their CCW California Tag Team titles against Anti-Gravity, the team of AJ Styles and Teddy Hart. Punk & Low Ki have held the titles since winning them from James Storm and Nathan Sampson at 'Nobody's Home' in September, and have since made 4 defences. This is the third meeting between the two teams, and the second with the tag titles on the line. vs. Fast paced-match, with Hart and Styles taking to the air with lots of moves off the ropes. Punk and Low Ki try to slow them down. Low Ki manages to ground Styles with a lot of leg kicks and hard-hitting offense. Low Ki hits a knee breaker, after which Styles makes the hot tag. Hart hits a series of dropkicks and leg lariats on Low Ki, who tags in CM Punk. Punk falls victim to the same from Hart until Low Ki runs in and the two hit a double suplex. Punk takes control, forcing Hart to tag in Styles, who is still favoring his ankle. A back-and-forth follows, with Punk winning most of the exchanges. Styles tries for a springboard move, but his knee gives out on him. Punk takes him to the corner and sets him up for the Pepsi Plunge. Styles resists, though, as Hart makes the blind tag. Styles throws Punk off the top rope, and Hart climbs up. He nails the Hart Attack 2.0 and makes the cover while Styles intercepts Low Ki. Your winners by pinfall at 11:44 and new CCW California Tag Team Champions, AJ Styles and Teddy Hart – Anti-Gravity. For a change of pace, our next match is Alex Shane taking on Charlie Haas. vs. Good match with a lot of steady technical wrestling. The match starts with an exchange of holds, and slows down to some hard hits follow by rest holds. Big moves from each follow. Haas locks in the Haas of Pain, but Shane gets to the ropes. Haas tries to lock it in again, but Shane kicks him off. Out of view of the referee, he hits a low blow, followed by the One Night Stand for the three count. Your winner by pinfall at 11:56, Alex Shane. Our second title match of the night is for the CCW California Regional championship, with Doug Williams defending his title against former champion James Storm. Williams has held the title since January's 'Challenge Cup' event, when he won the title on a bet with champion Donovan Morgan. He has made 3 defences. This is their first singles meeting. vs. Some attempts at technical wrestling by Williams are countered by punches and clotheslines from Storm. It seems that the match is destined to be a brawl, and both men are just fine with that. Williams adapts quickly and we get a lot of punches from both men, interspersed with suplexes and body slams. Storm whips Williams against the turnbuckles and hits a big corner clothesline. He then goes to whip Williams into the opposite turnbuckle, but Williams reverses and hits the Chaos Theory. He gets the win and retain the title. The two men shake hands for a hard-fought contest. Your winner by pinfall at 13:41 and still CCW California Regional Champion, Doug Williams. The next match features Nathan Sampson taking on Jeff Hardy. vs. Somewhat of a clash of styles in this match. Hardy is a high-flying risk-taker. Sampson likes to keep it on the ground, although he isn't afraid to take it to the air himself once in a while. Sampson starts off dominant, cutting off Hardy's aerial offense. He gives some hard shots to Hardy, with some stiff kicks, and then tries some armlocks. Hardy manages to escape and starts a barrage of quick hits. He hits a few dropkicks and springboard moves, before Sampson hits a chop block. Sampson goes for some leg submissions, but Hardy kicks him away and it's not long before he's in control again. After a bit of a back and forth, Sampson goes for the Downbringing off the top rope, but Hardy throws him off and hits the Swanton Bomb for the win. You winner by pinfall at 13:56, Jeff Hardy. The final match of the night is for the CCW California Heavyweight title, with champion Paul Kayzer defending against Super Nova. Kayzer is a three-time champion, his current reign having started when he beat Shannon Moore for the title at 'Evil Tempers' in April. Kayzer's first defense was against Nova last month at 'Wrong Place, Wrong Time' when Nova was DQed. vs. Like most of Kayzer's matches, this is a quick, hard-hitting match. He uses his martial arts skills to counter and counter-attack almost anything that Super Nova tries. Nova is losing a lot of ground and looks like he might go for a chair and get DQed again. But Kayzer takes the chair away and starts attacking Nova again. While the ref is throwing the chair from the ring, Nova throws powder in Kayzer's eyes, then hits the Novocaine for the pinfall. Your winner by pinfall at 5:48 and new CCW California Heavyweight Champion, Super Nova. Nova celebrates with the title while the ref helps Kayzer out of the ring. That's the end of the show. Make sure to come out to CCW's next event, 'No Lights, No Camera, All Action'. Same time, same place, next month. Show Summary: Nigel McGuiness d. No Lights, No Camera, All Action Lineup California Championship Wrestling will return to the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles on the last Sunday in July for their 'No Lights, No Camera, All Action' event. The show will be highlighted by Super Nova making his first defense of the CCW California Heavyweight title. He won't be taking on the man he beat for the title, as Paul Kayzer is still recovering from the mysterious powder that was thrown in his eyes by Nova. He has promised to be back in action as soon as possible, and aims to recover the title that he was cheated out of. With that in mind, CCW management has arranged for Nova to face Chris Harris, another former champion who is looking to get the gold back around his waist. Also on the show, Low Ki and CM Punk will attempt to earn a shot at the Tag Team titles that they lost to AJ Styles and Teddy Hart at Universal Struggle. To do that, they will have to go through The Haas Brothers, Charlie and Russ. New tag champion AJ Styles will also be in action, taking on 'Iron Man' Ace Steel. He will have his partner Teddy Hart in his corner. Steel will be hoping that his match won't end in interference this time, and Hart and Styles have promised a fair match. Nigel McGuiness and Samoa Joe will both have their hands full, with McGuniess taking on Shelton Benjamin and Joe battling Chris Sabin. Also on the show, California Regional champion Doug Williams will face Nathan Sampson in a non-title match and Alex Shane will take on James Storm, another former regional champion. Don't miss this show that promises to deliver a night that can only be described as 'All Action'. CCW No Lights, No Camera, All Action Last night, from the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles, CA, California Championship Wrestling held their July event, 'No Lights, No Camera, All Action' in front of 431 people. All CCW titles were on the line in a night of fast-paced action. Here are the results. We kick off the show with a contest between Shelton Benjamin and Nigel McGuiness. vs. Samoa Joe is not at ringside, as he is preparing for his match with Chris Sabin. Good technical match to kick off the show. Both men are good on the ground, and this match showcased a lot of that. No really big moves here, just a bit of high impact stuff followed by chain wrestling. The downside to this match was that neither man seemed to be able to figure out what his opponent was trying to do, making some of the attempted counters look really sloppy. Nonetheless, it was a good match to get everyone ready for the night of action. After a lot of counters, McGuiness traps Benjamin in a small package and gets the win. Your winner by pinfall at 6:50, Nigel McGuiness. Our second match features Samoa Joe taking on Chris Sabin. vs. Nigel McGuiness stays at ringside after his match, so Joe has him in his corner for this one. The match is pretty much all Joe, who hits Sabin with a lot of slams, suplexes, and hard kicks and punches. Any time Sabin tries to get any offense in, McGuiness finds a way to trip him up. Sabin finally gets sick of it and does a plancha onto McGuiness, but ends up paying for it when he gets back into the ring and Joe quickly sets up and hits the Avalanche Island Driver for the three count. Your winner by pinfall at 8:44, Samoa Joe. Next up is California Regional Champion Doug Williams vs Nathan Sampson. Williams' title is not on the line in this match. vs. Although this is a non-title match, Williams doesn't want to look weak, and Sampson would definitely warrant a shot at the title if he beat the champ. This match features a lot of technical wrestling. Unlike the opening match, though, this one has less miscommunication and more variety of moves. Most of the first half of the match is fought standing up, with punches, kicks, and quick maneuvers failing to gain either of the competitors any ground over the other. Finally, Sampson's attempts at aerial offense backfire on him, and Williams takes control on the ground. They do some chain wrestling, which evolves into about 20 pinfall attempts in the span of a few minutes. Back on their feet, the two men exchange some more blows. Sampson hits a quick atomic drop and attempts the Sampson Bomb, only to have it reversed into Williams' Chaos Theory, which gets him the win. Your winner by pinfall at 9:54, Doug Williams. Newly crowned California Tag Team champion AJ Styles takes on Ace Steel. vs. Conspicous by his absence is Teddy Hart, who is not out to support fellow tag champion AJ Styles. This doesn't seem to phase Styles, though, as he starts off the match pretty quickly. This match is very back-and-forth, with neither man seeming to be able to get the advantage. When both men are tired out after a long exchange of moves and holds, Samoa Joe and Nigel McGuiness come out. They taunt Styles and Steel, revealing that they have taken out Teddy Hart. The men in the match seem to forget that they are against each other, as they leave the ring to brawl with Pure Perfection. This leads to both of them being counted out. By the time the ref has signaled for the bell, though, the brawl has gone far from the ring and neither of the four men seem to care about the outcome. The match ended in a draw by double countout at 10:43. The number one contenders for Anti-Gravity's California Tag Team titles will be decided in this next match, as former champs CM Punk & Low Ki try to prove that their loss was a fluke by taking on Charlie and Russ, The Haas Brothers. vs. Good tag team match here, and both teams are hungry to get their title match. The Haas Brothers manage to take out some of Low Ki's offense by isolating him and slapping submission holds on both of his legs, rendering him barely able to walk, let alone kick. He does manage to get some shots in with his arms before making the tag to Punk. Punk takes control quickly, keeping Russ from tagging in his brother. Punk eventually falters, though, prompting Charlie and Russ to double-team him with some submissions, before Low Ki manages to break them up. Punk makes the tag to Low Ki, who doesn't seem extremely happy about having to walk around in the ring again. He does get a bit of control, though, and delivers a few very well-placed kicks that cripple Charlie Haas pretty quickly. Russ runs in to try to help his brother, but gets taken out with a big kick to the head. Low Ki then whips Charlie into the ropes as Punk is holding a low bridge, but Haas reverses and Low Ki is sent flying out of the ring, with Charlie following him. Punk gets into the ring to try and take advantage of a downed Russ, who springs into life and rolls Punk up to get the three. Punk is shocked, as is Low Ki. They leave the ring arguing while the Haas Brothers celebrate their title shot. Your winners by pinfall at 10:33, The Haas Brothers. Penultimate match of the show features James Storm against Alex Shane Shane will look to get his second win in a row over a former California Regional champion. His goal is to get a title shot, and he thinks this is the way to earn in. he may be right. vs. Fun match, as both men are pretty adept at brawling. There are a lot of big moves here, with lariats, body slams, and suplexes all doled out pretty evenly. It's not long before both men look like they've been in a car crash, and they seem to be having pain from almost every body part. After coming out on top in a clothesline battle, Storm looks set to finish the match, until Shane rolls him up, grabbing the rights and keeping his feet on the ropes. This allows him to claim victory, and seemingly move one step closer to his shot at the California Regional title. You winner by pinfall at 12:50, Alex Shane. The main event is Super Nova making the first defense of his newly-won CCW California Heavyweight title against former champion Chris Harris. vs. Nova is ****y and seems to be fairly, if not overly, confident that he will retain the title. Harris seems up to taking it away from him, and looks like he won't stop until he wins the title. It seems to be in the cards, too, as Harris takes control from the opening bell, foregoing the usual opening exchanges in favor of a huge backbreaker that shakes the ring and almost wins him the title right then and there. Nova is taken aback, and now sees that holding on to his title may not be as easy as he thinks. Harris keeps control, although he cuts down on the high-impact moves in order to try to wear Nova down. He probably should have stuck to the big moves, though, because Nova starts countering everything in sight, and eventually takes control for himself. He doesn't relinquish, and Harris is only able to get it small bits of offense before Nova takes over again. This allows Nova to considerably weaken Harris, and then nail the Novacain to retain the title. Your winner by pinfall at 13:39 and still CCW California Heavyweight Champion, Super Nova. Nova parades around the ring and then to the back to finish the show for the night. Next month at the Mayan Palace, CCW will present its third annual 'Wicked Rain' event, featuring the brutal Wicked Rain match. Don't miss out! Show Summary: Nigel McGuiness d. Wicked Rain Lineup The end of summer. People taking their last opportunities to go to the beach, to get some vacation time, to have some fun before the tediousness of fall sets in. But for the stars of California Championship Wrestling, the end of summer means only one thing: Wicked Rain. For the third year in a row, CCW's August event will feature the brutal Wicked Rain match that never fails to leave bodies lying broken. In 1998, CCW California Tag Team champions Nathan Sampson and James Storm defended their titles in the Wicked Rain match against The Royal Princes (Doug Williams & Alex Shane), Jado & Gedo, and the team of Teddy Hart and Super Nova. Storm and Sampson came out victorious, if only by the skin of their teeth. The next year featured another brutal Wicked Rain match, in which eight men faced off to determine the number one contender to the CCW California Heavyweight title. Shannon Moore managed to defeat Low Ki, Michael Modest, Super Nova, Ace Steel, and Rob Conway to claim the title shot. The next month, he won the title from champion Paul Kayzer. This year's Wicked Rain match will, like the first one, be a four way tag team match. Anti-Gravity will defend their CCW California Tag Team titles against three other teams. Although The Haas Brothers seemed to have won the title shot at 'No Lights, No Camera, All Action', CCW management has determined that neither legal man was in the ring when the pinfall happened. They have therefore ruled the match a draw. To that end, both teams will now participate in the Wicked Rain match. The fourth team in the match will be determined at the event. Following the trouble Ace Steel has had at the hands of Pure Perfection, he requested a match with them. CCW management will give him the match at 'Wicked Rain', against Nigel McGuiness. Should McGuiness win that match, he will claim himself and Samoa Joe a spot in the Wicked Rain match. If Ace Steel wins that match, he will earn a spot in the match for himself and a partner of his choice. In other action, former California Heavyweight champion Paul Kayzer will attempt to prove that he has fully recovered when he takes on Bryan Danielson. Alex Shane will attempt to solidify his dominance over former California Regional champions when he faces Donovan Morgan. Nathan Sampson will face Shelton Benjamin, Paul London and Jimmy Yang will square off, and Chris Harris looks to get back into form after his loss by taking on Chris Sabin. Don't miss CCW's most brutal match, Wicked Rain! An Overview of the Wicked Rain Match The Wicked Rain match is held at California Championship Wrestling's 'Wicked Rain' event every August. It is CCW's most brutal match, and for good reason. It is also one of CCW's most anticipated events of the year. And while the stars of CCW anticipate being in the match because of the potential rewards, they may not feel the same way after they have gone through it. Just looking at the setup for the match gives an idea of its brutality. The ring is filled with various weapons, such as chairs and garbage cans. Tables line the outside of the ring. Around all this is a large steel cage with a closed roof and a padlocked door. Four tag teams or six singles wrestlers enter the structure, which is then closed and locked. The bell rings, and the match starts. Anything goes, as there are no countouts or disqualifications. The weapons and tables can be used as legally as punches and kicks, and the steel cage is a weapon itself. The only way to lose the match is to be put through a table. The last wrestler not to be put through a table wins the match for himself of his team. After the match, though, the question isn't who has won, but who has survived. The show will be posted in a few hours.

CCW Wicked Rain Last night, from the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles, CA, California Championship Wrestling held their August event, 'Wicked Rain' in front of 431 people. The Wicked Rain match was the main event. Here are the results. Opening match promises to be exciting, with Jimmy Yang taking on Paul London. vs. Quick match to get the crowd going. Both men waste no time in unleashing a barrage of high-flying offense. Yang and London trade some springboard clotheslines and dropkicks, which are followed up with pinfalls and reversals. Neither man seems to lose any energy during the match, with both continuing to use high-risk moves. Yang goes for the Yang Time but misses, which allows Paul London to go up and hit the London Calling for the win. Your winner by pinfall at 6:37, Paul London. The next match is Ace Steel against Nigel McGuiness, with the winner qualifying for the Wicked Rain match. vs. Nigel McGuiness has Samoa Joe in his corner, but Ace Steel has Paul London in his. Hard-hitting contest, with both men giving their all to qualify their teams into the Wicked Rain match. Paul London proves to be a good choice for Ace Steel, as he is effective at stopping Samoa Joe from interfering. Inside the ring, both men trade a lot of punches to start the match. Steel soon gets control of the match with some clotheslines and slams. McGuiness makes a comeback, though, slowing the pace of the match with various holds. Steel doesn't back down, though, and starts taking things up a notch with big suplexes and backbreakers. McGuiness fights back once again, trying to win with pinning combinations and submission holds. Steel manages to counter many of these, and hits the Twist of Cain on McGuiness. Samoa Joe runs in and knocks out the referee, which leads to an all-out 2 on 2 brawl between Pure Perfection and Ace Steel & Paul London. London and Steel manage to take out Samoa Joe, and London goes up for the London Calling on McGuiness. By this time, though, the referee has come to, and disqualifies Ace Steel. Joe and McGuiness quickly flee the ring to prepare for the main event, as Steel and London look dissapointed. Your winner by DQ at 8:44, Nigel McGuiness. Third match features Nathan Sampson versus Shelton Benjamin. vs. Good match, with a lot of mat wrestling and a little brawling thrown in. Benjamin also displays some athleticism, but Sampson isn't phased and hits some of his own big moves, trying to slow Benjamin down. Benjamin manages to hit some moves off the top rope, but during an attempt at one, Sampson gets on the top rope and drops Benjamin with the Downbringing. Your winner by pinfall at 11:57, Nathan Sampson. Donovan Morgan against Alex Shane is up next. If Shane wins, he will get a shot at the CCW California Regional title. vs. Both men have motivation for gaining victory in this match. Shane for the obvious title shot, and Morgan to show that he also deserves a shot. Unfortunately, neither man seems to have any motivation to have a good match. This match falls apart the second it begins, as both men seem to just do whatever they want with no respect for psychology or storytelling. Alex Shane manages to win clean in this one, hitting the One Night Stand for the three count. He will get a shot at Doug Williams' California Regional title. Your winner by pinfall at 12:09, Alex Shane. Fifth match has Chris Harris taking on Chris Sabin. vs. Clash of styles here, but the two seem to make it work. Harris spends most of the match on his feet, while Sabin throws everything he can to try and win the match. Harris occasionally hits a big move, but most of the time lets Sabin tire himself out, although Sabin sometimes takes advantage and looks on the verge of winning, but Harris manages to find a way to escape every time. Eventually, he ends the match by hitting the Catatonic for the win. Your winner by pinfall at 11:43, Chris Harris. Paul Kayzer will attempt to prove that he has recovered and is ready for action again as he takes on Bryan Danielson. vs. Quick match, with Danielson trying to start with some submissions, but Kayzer just going to his martial arts style of punches and kicks. He carries this own throughout the match, and finally knocks Danielson's lights out with a huge Knockout Blow to get the three count. You winner by pinfall at 5:59, Paul Kayzer. It's time for the Wicked Rain match, featuring Anti-Gravity defending their California Tag Team titles against former champions CM Punk & Low Ki, The Haas Brothers, and Pure Perfection. vs. vs. vs. The match is full of fast-paced action, with the men in the ring using not only the chairs but also their bodies as weapons. The first elimination comes pretty quickly, as Samoa Joe and Nigel McGuiness perform a Double Back Suplex on Russ Haas through a table, taking him out of the match. Elimination #1: Russ Haas. The remaining seven men continue to brawl, with chairs and garbage can being dented, and blood being left everywhere in and outside of the ring. Second elimination comes when AJ Styles puts McGuiness through a table outside of the ring with a Hurricanrana. Elimination #2: Nigel McGuiness. Soon after, CM Punk and Low Ki help set Charlie Haas up on a table, and Teddy Hart hits a Hart Attack 2.0 to take the second Hart Brother out of the match. Elimination #3: Charlie Haas. Right after that, though, Punk and Low Ki throw Hart through a table, eliminating him. Elimination #4: Teddy Hart. Punk and Low Ki split up to take on the remaining two men. Punk manages to throw Styles out of the ring, though he doesn't go through a table. Low Ki meanwhile has subdued Samoa Joe, and whips him to Punk. Joe reverses, though, and Low Ki gets whipped into Punk who doesn't realize what happened and ends up putting his partner through a table with a back body drop. Elimination #5: Low Ki. Neither man can believe what has happened, and Low Ki is pissed off. CM Punk meanwhile gets thrown out of the ring by Samoa Joe, where Low Ki take him and slams him through a table, eliminating his own partner. Elimination #6: CM Punk. Low Ki spits on Punk and leaves the ring. The two remaining men start brawling inside the ring, with Styles showing some innovative offensive with the help of some chairs. Joe uses a chair of his own though, trying to be AJ to a pulp. At this point, Paul London comes out, trying to distract Joe from outside of the cage. Ace Steel also comes out with some bolt cutters, and after taking out the referee, proceeds to cut the door open. He and London enter the ring, and the two of them help AJ to take out Joe, hitting their finishers on him and putting him on a table in the center of the ring. London helps the ref up as Styles goes up to the top rope and hits a Spiral Tap, winning the match for his team. Your winners at 15:07 and still CCW California Tag Team champion, Anti-Gravity. Teddy Hart makes his way back to the ring, and he and AJ celebrate their win as Nigel McGuiness comes out to help out Samoa Joe and Ace Steel and Paul London look on. CCW will return to the Mayan Theater in September for 'Nobody's Home', which is sure to deliver plenty of excitement with the fallout from this event. Nobody's Home Lineup After last month's Wicked Rain event, things are starting to heat up in CCW. Paul Kayzer showed that he hadn't lost a step after Super Nova threw the mysterious powder into his eyes. Alex Shane claimed a shot at the California Regional title. Anti-Gravity retained their California Tag Team titles with some help from Ace Steel and Teddy Hart. Low Ki eliminated his own partner from the Wick Rain match. The fallout will come at September's event, 'Nobody's Home'. The CCW California Heavyweight championship will be on the line as champion Super Nova will defend his belt against Matt Hardy. Paul Kayzer and Chris Harris will have a match to determine the number one contender for the California Heavyweight title. With both men looking strong over the past few months, this match will determine who will get the next title shot. Alex Shane will try to capitalize on his momentum after beating all three former California Regional champions. He will take on champion Doug Williams, who says that he will stop Shane's momentum like a brick wall. After Ace Steel and Paul London cost them the California Tag Team titles in the Wicked Rain match, Pure Perfection will look to exact revenge in a tag team match against the two. Also on the card, James Storm will take on Bryan Danielson, Low Ki will face California Tag Team champion Teddy Hart, and Nathan Sampson and CM Punk will square off. Don't miss an great night of action and excitement as California Championship Wrestling presents 'Nobody's Home' from the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles, CA on the last Sunday in September. I know this might sound a little whiny, but is anyone actually reading this? I've only had two posts from other people in this entire thing. I think I've had a bit of bad luck with posting times. It seems that right before every one of my posts, there hasn't been a post in the Dynasty forum for two hours, and then minutes after I post there are at least three more posts after mine. I'm enjoying playing this game, and doing the write-ups, but I just think there isn't really a point in posting it if people aren't interested.

You're getting about 15 views a post, which for a relatively new diary seems about right. Over time, as they see you on the front page more, that average will start to rise. Persistence is the key -- some folks wait to see if a diary will have staying power before getting deep into it. As long as you're enjoying yourself, it's worthwhile. If all you need is an occasional 'attaboy' to make sure the lights are on, well, here's one from me.

A bit of an update on the game world. Both WWF and WCW are still Cult, although WCW looks like it might get back up pretty soon. ECW also looks like it could rise to National in a few months. NOAH in Japan dropped to Cult for about three months, causing them to lose both their TV shows. They will probably be back on the air for the next TV season, though. I'm going to list all the current TV shows right now, for every promotion. AAA TV: Sundays at 7 on Galavision AJPW Breakdown: Mondays at 9 on GAORA AJPW Kickstart: Tuesdays at 10 on Samurai TV AJW Crash: Saturdays at 12 on GAORA AJW Progression: Wednesdays at 9 on Playboy Channel BCW Snap Shot: Mondays at 11 on Local Ontario TV CMLL Lucha: Saturdays at 11 on Televisa CMLL TV: Sundays at 6 on Galavision ECW Hardcore TV: Tuesdays at 11 on WPPX-TV 61 ECWA Wrestling Night: Thursdays at 11 on Local Mid-Atlantic TV IWA:PR Full Force: Tuesdays at 12 on Puerto Rico Cable TV IWR Accion Viva: Mondays at 11 on TV Mexico JAPW High Impact: Mondays at 12 on WPPX-TV 61 NJPW Crash: Fridays at 9 on Playboy Channel NJPW Path of Destruction: Sundays at 10 on Samurai TV SW Lightning: Tuesdays at 11 on BCBC WCW ThrowDown!: Fridays at 12 on TNN WWC TV: Fridays at 12 on Puerto Rico Cable TV WWF Game Time: Tuesdays at 12 on TNN I just realized that WCW's show name resembles SmackDown!, and WWF's show seems to be named after Triple H. Sorry for the delay, it took forever to write up this show. I've just started a new job, so I haven't had too much time on my hands. CCW Nobody's Home Last night, from the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles, CA, California Championship Wrestling held their September event, 'Nobody's Home' in front of 427 people. The fallout from Wicked Rain was felt, and the show provided a good dose of action. Here are the results. First match of the night is Nathan Sampson versus CM Punk. vs. Pretty good opening match. Early on, Punk seems a bit unsure of himself, probably stemming from what happene in the Wicked Rain match. Sampson takes his opportunities well, and gets in a lot of offense. Punk does a good job at countering, though, and starts gaining some confidence. The match gets more interesting in the middle, with lots of quick pinfall attempts by both workers to try to wear each other out. Sampson almost gets the pin from a Superplex, after which Punk hits a big enzuigiri. Punk sets up for the Pepsi Plunge, but Sampson counters with a top rope dropkick that sends both men to the mat. Sampson is up first and sets up Punk for the Sampson bomb, but Punk grabs his arm and eventually locks Sampson into the Triangle Choke. With nowhere to go, Sampson taps out. Your winner by submission at 7:48, CM Punk. Next is Low Ki against California Tag Team champion Teddy Hart.. vs. Both men look good in this match, which showcases their respective skills. Low Ki starts this match off strong, trying to neutralize the high-flying abilities of Hart. He gets a lot of solid hits in, but Hart manages to shrug some of them off and try to go on offense, which includes a top rope leg lariat. Hart hits a standing moonsault for a two count, then goes for another one, but Low Ki gets the knees up. Low Ki gives some more shots to Hart, almost knocking him out with a big kick to the head. Hart tries to fight him off, but Low Ki is too strong. In the barrage, the ref is taken down. Hart manages to stop Low Ki's assault near the ropes, and hits a Hurricanrana that sends both men to the outside. As both men are down, CM Punk runs in with a chair. He waits for Hart to get up, then nails LOW KI with the chair. Punk and Hart roll Low Ki into the ring, and Punks puts the chair on Low Ki while Hart goes up to the top rope. He goes for the Hart Attack 2.0, but Low Ki rolls away and out of the ring at the last moment, and Hart goes crashing in to the chair. The referee, using the ropes to stand up, looks at what going on in the ring. He see Punk, then the chair, and looks at Hart on the ground. It doesn't take a genius to connect the dots, and he awards the match to Hart by DQ. CM Punk has a smile on his face, and he goes after Low Ki, who has made his way to the back. Your winner by disqualification at 9:21, Teddy Hart. Third match is James Storm squaring off against Bryan Danielson. vs. James Storm uses his brawling offense in this match, but Danielson seem to have an answer for everything. He grabs Storm's arms and locks in submission after submission, but doesn't seem to able to take him down. Storm manages some slams on Danielson, who once again goes for the standing submissions, trying to wear Storm down. He finally uses some help from the ropes to get Storm off his feet, and starts working some more submissions down there. Storm manages to kick him off, though, and goes on the offense, hitting Danielson with a few big hits and then a huge clothesline. He climbs onto the top rope, and as Danielson is getting up, Storm hits him with a Top Rope Bulldog. 1, 2, 3. It's over. Your winner by pinfall at 11:19, James Storm. Ace Steel and Paul London take on Pure Perfection. Samoa Joe and Nigel McGuiness will be looking for revenge against the team that cost them the California Tag Team titles in the Wicked Rain match. vs. This match looked very good on paper, but apparently was no FedEx... it failed to deliver. Probably not the worst match of the night, which is actually quite sad. Both teams got a good amount of offense in, although double-team maneuvers didn't seem to be a strong point for Steel & London. Finish came when the referee was distracted, McGuiness nailed London with a chair, then Joe locked in a Sleeper Hold and London couldn't respond to three arm raises. Your winners by submission at 11:49, Pure Perfection. CCW California Regional champion Doug Williams defends his title against the man who has beaten all three previous champions over the last three months, Alex Shane. vs. Shane carries his momentum into this match, and takes control from the beginning of the match, using some power moves to his advantage. The two British wrestlers trade a lot of punches and slams, and Shane seems to come out on top of almost every exchange. He tosses Williams out of the ring, giving himself time to rest inside. Williams also gets some rest, and gets back into the ring. He starts laying a beating onto Shane, who does his best to try to avoid the assault. Williams takes Shane down and stars to try to tap him out with various headlocks. Shane manages to throw him off, but Williams doesn't miss a beat and hits a suplex and goes back to the ground game. Shane reaches the ropes, and uses the leverage to catapult Williams out the ring. Williams manages to pull him out as well, though, and they brawl on the outside before getting back into the ring, where Williams counters a Press Slam into a roll-up. After kicking out, Shane goes to the corner to rest, and Williams rushes at him with a clothesline. Shane pulls the ref in the way, and Williams knocks the ref out. As Williams tries to help him back up, Shane gets him from behind with a big back suplex. He manages to lock in a side headlock, and Williams grabs the ropes. There's no referee to count him out, though, and Shane holds on. He finally lets go after what would have been a count of 15, and starts stomping any part of Williams that he sees. He picks Williams up and lifts him onto his shoulders for a One Night Stand, but Williams manages to slip out and roll him up again. Shane kicks out, and as Williams goes for a suplex, he kicks him straight in the groin. The referee sees this, and calls for the DQ. Shane is livid, and leaves the ring kicking the ring ropes and everything in sight. Your winner by disqualification at 11:53 and still CCW California Regional champion, Doug Williams. The next match will determine the number one contender for the California Heavyweight title at next month's show as Chris Harris take on Paul Kayzer. vs. Probably the worst match of the night. Neither man seemed to be trying very hard, and it showed. Kayzer had almost all the offense in the match, with Harris seemingly not even trying to hit any moves of his own. He took the shots, then got hit with a PK Shot for the three count. You winner by pinfall at 6:51, Paul Kayzer. Finally, CCW California Heavyweight champion Super Nova will defend his title against Matt Hardy. vs. And now for something completely different is a good way to describe this. One of the best matches in CCW history, this one has everything. Both men have a lot of skill when it comes to both technical wrestling and high-flying offense. They have a good match here, starting off slow with some holds, then going into a quick pace of chain wrestling and big moves off the ropes. Nova works in a lot of innovative counters to Hardy's moves in this match, and Hardy is able to do some of his own reversals. Fight stays in the ring for most of the match, though they do some dives to the outside. Finish comes when Hardy hits a Tornado DDT and goes for the Twist of Fate, which Nova counters into the Novacaine to retain his title. Your winner by pinfall at 16:27 and still CCW California Heavyweight Champion, Super Nova. As Nova is celebrating, Paul Kayzer comes out to the entry way and stares him down. Next month at the Mayan Palace, Kayzer will challenge Nova for the CCW California Heavyweight title at 'Hard and Fast'. Show Summary: CM Punk d. The good news is that this isn't dead. There isn't really any bad news, just a warning to readers that this diary will probably be prone to being comatose. I think I had already run 'Hard and Fast' by the time I posted the card, but the writeup took a really long time. Anyway, on to the show. CCW Hard and Fast Last night, from the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles, CA, a huge crowd of 825 came to see California Championship Wrestling hold their October event, 'Hard and Fast'. Here are the results. We open with Jimmy Yang taking on Shelton Benjamin. After back and forth action for a good 5 minutes, Shelton Benjamin takes control of the match, and ends up locking in a Boston Crab to get the win. Your winner by submission at 6:54, Shelton Benjamin. A tag team match now, as Alex Shane, after unsuccessfully challenging for the California Regional title last month, teams up with Donovan Morgan to face the makeshift team of Paul London and Russ Haas. vs. Putting two almost random teams together probably was not the best idea, and it shows here. Sloppy match in which all four men seem a bit unsure of themselves. Paul London didn't seem to have any room to show off his aerial skill in this match, with both of his opponents being more brawl-oriented, and Russ Haas can't exactly put on a technical masterpiece, much less with Shane or Morgan. The other two men also didn't seem to be able to do too much with their opponents and the large clash of styles in this match was obvious. Shane and Morgan didn't exactly dominate, but they got a fair bit of offense in before Shane hit the One Night Stand to get the victory. Your winners by pinfall at 7:56, Alex Shane and Donovan Morgan. Next is a grudge match between former partners, Low Ki trying to get revenge on CM Punk. vs. Punk's assault of Low Ki last month seems to have had an affect on Low Ki both mentally and physically. While he looks like he's ready to kick Punk's head off, he also seems to be at less than 100%, and Punk looks to take advantage of that early on in the match, hitting as many exposed body parts of Low Ki as he can, leading to Ki going on the defensive for a while. Low Ki manages to find some space, though, and starts countering a lot of Punk's offense. He goes on a rampage, and does manage to land a few stiff kicks to the head of Punk, though it manages to stay on his shoulders. Punk isn't totally out of it, though, and he trips up Low Ki and goes for some submissions, trying to finish the match. Low Ki doesn't tap though, and manages to get out of the ring to catch his breath. Punk goes out there, too, and they start brawling all around the ring. They get back into the ring before the count of 20, but Low Ki throws Punk straight back out, and then goes to get a chair, not seeming to care if he gets DQed. He swings for Punk, who moves and Ki ends up connecting with the ring post, sending a shockwave through his body. Punk throws him back into the ring, and after a bit more time spent wearing him down, takes him to the top rope and hits the Pepsi Plunge to get the win. Your winner by pinfall at 11:34, CM Punk. Fourth match of the night, California Tag Team Champion AJ Styles will face Nathan Sampson. vs. Not a bad match, but it probably could have been better. Neither man seems to be able to take much of an advantage in this match, and it's pretty back and forth the entire time. This makes the match pretty uneventful. Both men are able to hit a few big moves, but largely stick to the basics. Worth mentioning is a pretty interesting exchange near the end of the match, which ends up with both men entangled in the ropes, only getting out with the referee's help. After that, Sampson hits some shots and hits the Downbringing on Styles for the three count. Your winner by pinfall at 12:47, Nathan Sampson. In what is expected to be a good match, Charlie Haas takes on Samoa Joe vs. Good technical match here, with lots of hold and counters and more holds and more counters. Neither man backs down from the other's submission attempts, and both wrestle a pretty quick pace for the first half of the match. On their feet though, Joe easily takes the advantage with a lot of hard kicks and slams. Haas doesn't seem to be able to do anything about it, and Joe takes pleasure in hitting Haas in seemingly every way possible. Haas doesn't seem to be able to defend himself, but finds an oppening and trips up Joe on one of his kicks. He hits some moves on the ground, then ties up Joe's legs in the Haas of Pain. In the middle of the ring, Joe has no choice but to tap. Your winner by submission at 13:34, Charlie Haas. By no means a small match, Ace Steel faces Jeff Hardy, whose brother Matt failed to take the California Heavyweight title away from Super Nova last month. vs. Another match that seemed very good on paper but didn't live up to expectations. Both men are good wrestlers, but their styles are too distinct to mesh very well in the wrestling ring. Hardy wasn't very comfortable on the ground like Steel, and Steel couldn't go to the air like Hardy. The match pretty much feel apart from the clash of styles, and there wasn't much either man could do to make up for it. They trade off on offense for most of the match, albeit quite incoherently. Jeff wins with the Swanton Bomb. You winner by pinfall at 14:32, Jeff Hardy. In the main event, Super Nova will defend his CCW California Heavyweight Title against the man he defeated for the title, Paul Kayzer. vs. Not a bad match, as is usually the case with both of these men. Kayzer goes into this match with a lot of emotion to try to finally regain his championship. Nova is on his guard, knowing that Kayzer will stop at nothing to take the title. Kayzer flies out with a lot of offense, but Nova uses the rope-a-dope technique, forcing Kayzer to use up his energy pretty quickly. Kayzer tires out fast, and Nova is bruised but still fresh five minutes into the match. He picks this moment to take advantage and goes on the offense, with Kayzer unable to counter. In wrestling, it's a pin that counts, not how many hits you get in. And Nova gets the pin by hitting a Novacaine. Your winner by pinfall at 6:04 and still CCW California Heavyweight Champion, Super Nova. Nova rolls out of the ring with his title, and Kayzer gets up, knowing he let the opportunity slip away from him. He will look to get back into the title hunt. That and more will go down at next month's 'Wrestle, Rinse, Repeat' at the Mayan Palace. Show Summary: Shelton Benjamin d.
