RIP Gary Gygax

Well, I'm not sure if you've heard, but E. Gary Gygax, father of RPG's, creator of Dungeons and Dragons, has passed on at the age of 69. He's affected most of our lives in some way, through his contributions to gaming, just thought we should pay tribute to him somehow. RIP Gary Gygax.

You know, I'm surprised he was so young. I always assumed D & D went back so far that Gygax was long since dead. If pushed to guess I'd have thought the had been created before it turns out Gygax was even born. Like the 19-teens or so. With his death in like the 50's or so. Oh well, RIP now man. You've earned it. Your legacy is assured.

I got into the D&D game with the introduction the Advanced D&D 2nd Edition rule set--likely the most confusing set of rules I'd seen...but I was still hooked. Some fifteen years later, I still like to throw the dice now and then. Rest well, Sir Gary. Your place in the Blessed Heavens of Elysium is assured, and your legacy ne'er to be forgotten.
