Also, the pairings were random, and seeing as OoT was voted almost unanimously over 007 so far (even by me, whose screen name is based on the game and I never liked OoT) it isn't much of an exciting final anyway... :D

Still, to this day, sitting in a room for literally hours trying to light a stick on fire to light a torch at the other end of the room you apparently weren't supposed to at that point in the game is just ridiculous. The game wasn't cute, it wasn't engaging, the stuff that was supposed to be hard wasn't, and for me it simply wasn't fun. I don't like ANY of the Zelda games... I respect them as apparently a great game series, but they're complicated in an annoying way...

If a game isn't intuitive for me, I lose interest. I don't mind thinking, but if I'm going to think, I want to at least know what my objective is! There were no hints in that game at all really as to what you were supposed to do. When there was hints, they were uber-vague. I spent MOST of my time in OoT thinking "I don't know what this'll do, or how to do it, but seeing as there are lots of people talking about a related problem, this must be my objective!". Only half of the time, though, was that objective possible at the time it appeared to be necessary, and a seemingly large chunk of the time all you got were rupees, which didn't help... Plus, so much of the stuff you had to do didn't really make sense... Too much "Japanese logic". Why would some random guard want a mask of any sort? Also, **** chickens!!! For me, OoT simply wasn't fun. Period. Ever. Still. (I seem to try playing it every year, and alas I'm still confused as hell... I know what to do now, but nothing ever seems to work as/when I remember it...)
