[/CENTER] I can't sticky anything to the top (and to be honest am glad there are no sticky's in this forum) Some Diary's run for ever, some just slip away after a few months. But those that have won DOTM, have a rare distinction, they are the best of the best and deserve to be remembered! I know that the day the server IP address changes, the links die, but the enshrinement will remain. This is an ambitious project, So bear with me, I am going to attempt to go back through the archive and find both the previous winners, and their diaries. If my efforts are in vane, let me know. But if you are in support of this idea, be sure to drop a line in that regards as well. Finnally, the lay out is a little bland, but visual design is not my strong suit what would you like see? Text Color? change the back ground color? (yes i can do that :cool:) diffent fonts or text size? Thank you for you help and patience

I really dig this-it would be awesome to see the older diaries enshrined for all time in a Hall of Immortals. If we could get some portrait graphics for avatars that'd be fun (like the in-game Hall of Immortals).

I will 100% admit straight up that the only reason I bring this up is become I come under this banner, however... Is there any chance we could go further back than 08? A lot of people won DOTM before Jan '08 who deserve to be listed too. I agree though, it's a fantastic idea.

Great idea and I agree with W3lshy best to keep the format simple so that it doesn't distract. Getting all the links up even to the older or "dead" diaries would also be great. One thing that works is if you remember the name of the winner click his profile then click threads started by this user. Any diary from the old forum can then be found. (it's the way I found monkeypox's Cuban does Dave.)

I apologize to those fine writers. If some one has a list, I would be happy to include it here. I will work on getting the Link up.

As for DOTM, you have to remember that there was no such thing as C-verse DOTM for quite a while. Adam used to sticky one diary per month for a while as DOTM, and I think G-Prime then started to run a Real World DOTM alongside that to recognise those. When Adam stopped stickying C-verse diaries, they just weren't included in any DOTM contests until they started up again in a different format early this year. So it's quite probable that 'Pox never actually got a DOTM unless he was stickied by Adam in the early days as his diary had stopped by the time of the later contests.

Pox was stickied. But Marcel was right in that there wasn't an official diary of the month for the C-verse outside of the ones that Adam stickied each month. He stopped doing that late in '07. So Marcel started the DOTM that evolved into what we have now, I kept it going thru the middle of the year, and Mistaken has taken up the gauntlet for '08. But 'Pox stopped posting around the end of 2007 so he was never eligible for the DOTM we ran as he hadn't posted any shows. But he will always be ranked as one of the most, if not the most, influential diaries this board has ever had, and if we ever get a Diary Hall of Fame, he and Mark Cuban does DAVE will be an early entrant.

I accidently double posted at the time, and asked the mods to delete the thread that I ended up posting twice, well the link unfortunately links to that version. I mean if people click on that they really will wonder why the diary ever got diary of the month :D

I am also thinking of added features. tell me how you feel about the following. 1) a list of each months nominiee's (not hyper linked) ranked by vote count with a hyper link to the voting page. 2) Nevermore said there is a hall of fame page? if so can some one toss me a link and I will post that, if not I'd love to add one, but would want some suggestions on how it should look. 3) a table with the number of nominations and wins for some of the talent. Because while some people don't win they remain at the top of their game month after month just some of the thing's I'm kicking around what are your thoughts and suggestions? (should i just leave well enough alone?)
