titlebelt
This seems like a rather dumb question but if you advance book does the match have to appear on the main card or can it be a dark match?
WeeMan
It has to be on the main show. Dark match is only visible to those in the building, and when You advance book, You tell all the people that the match is going to take place, so those who will watch the show on TV too... and if they don't see the match, they will complain. Tripps04
Not so much. All the match has to do is be on the card. Doesn't matter where.
scorpion
Not so much. All the match has to do is be on the card. Doesn't matter where.
Tripps is correct. Advance booking is also telling the live crowd what they see. there is no negative effect for advertising a dark match. Chances are the match wasn't your draw anyway. I use advance booking to set up my whole card. It breaks up a tedious process and makes it so much simpler.
James Casey
Agreed with Scorpion - even if I advance book on the day of the show itself, I still do every match. It makes the whole process seem quicker. However, I know that there's at least one theory suggesting to only pre-book the big matches - anything else can detract from the pre-show hype... WeeMan
No, I'm sure that if You advance book a match and put it in the 20 minute dark match place... it will not count, and after the show You'll get the note about fans being disappointed that this match did not take place... I know because I tried it myself and it did look like that...
James Casey
It still counts - I've often used dark matches as a way of testing chemistry between workers who are already on the 'live' show anyway
WeeMan
But if You advance book those matches, fans expect to see it on the main show - at least when You have TV deal, that is.

WeeMan
That means that my game is different than all of Yours then - I had a match advance booked, wasn't sure if it's gonna be good or bomb, so I've put it in the dark time... After the show I got the note about fans being not happy about not seeing that match... So... I don't know.
dPro
You probably selected one wrong worker in the advance booking.. I've done that so many times, it's not even funny! :p
WeeMan
No, I didn't, I'm pretty sure it was just as I presented it...maybe it'd be a thing that patch could solve, but I'm not sure.
dPro
It must be, cause I doubt that you got a different game than everybody else:D
titlebelt
Well, I'm just going to put the match as a pre-show segment and see what happens.
Masked Superstar
I usually just book on the day of the show and advance book dark matches all the time. Actually just did it not 10 minutes ago. It is a NOTBPW Championship Wrestling - a TV Show - and there is never any problems. Ever. So Advance Book away titlebelt. titlebelt
Well now that I've tried it, using the advance book as a dark match seemed to work fine for me, at least no commentary from the game about upset fans.
James Casey
With Kirk Jameson/Kid Arachnid, Hugh de Aske/Hugh Lee and Marc Speed/Marshall Dillon on my roster, I know how easy it is to misbook matches - and it seems likely that's what happened here. bak42
Try employing both of the Remus brothers, I did that and accidentally advance booked the one who announces instead of the one who wrestles.

Are. Wrong. There's no sense in arguing fact without reference material. Get a screenshot or a series of screenshots and maybe we'll get your point. But continuing to say 'no no no' doesn't make for a good argument. Sorry, I'm saddling myself into the Bitter Veteran gimmick. I've seen a number of wild assumptions and claims on the boards recently that we know to be completely false and have no backing to them whatsoever. It's frustrating. Anyway; carry on. SaySo
For a local sized fed, is it necessary to have an announcer, colour commentator, road agent?
dPro
Don't know if you need a color, but you should have an announcer and a road agent. Off course, you can you use one or more of you active wrestlers as announcer and road agent, if they have the right skills for it.
Mattlore Devious
Or look for a staff member that is a road agent but also has decent(ish) Colour stats
