The Kid and The Business

Recommended Posts

I love Vince, truly.

I love the whole Machiavellian air he has, the way in which he pulls everyone's strings and has the balls to do it right in front of them.

I mean, I know it's sort of how he's reported to be in rea life, and of course boo hiss to that... But in a diary? It's fantastic to read.

Honestly, I just want our guy to get a little big-headed, demand that Vince respect him (maybe by naming him head booker or something) only to have Vince cut him down to size in front of everyone. That would be... awesome.

Oh, and 100 posts! Woot!

Hey James, thanks for the comments and thanks for reading! I don't know what Vince or Patterson or anybody else is like in real life, (obviously,) but dammit, I would be so dissapointed if they were not foul mouthed a-holes!

Im sure The Kid is going to snap somewhere down the line, but he's also making powerful friends, like 21 year old friends....so who knows? Be sure to stay tuned!

Oh, and yes indeed Woot!

THE ROCKERS VS THE NASTY BOYS

- Rockers definitely have more long term upside

THE UNKNOWN COWBOY VS BIG BOSSMAN

- Although it seems like his push might be dead with Vince seeming to turn sour on him, I'm not giving up yet

THE HART FOUNDATION VS RYTHMN AND BLUES

- No brainer here

MR PERFECT VS THE BRITISH BULLDOG

- He's perfect

Oooh, my favorite event of the year. :D

THE ROCKERS SHAWN MICHEALS AND MARTY JANNETTY VS THE NASTY BOYS JERRY SAGGS AND BRIAN KNOBBS

The Rockers are bright young stars, while the Nasty Boys use a move involving the smelling of an armpit. I think it's just in good taste that they lose. lol

THE UNKNOWN COWBOY VS BIG BOSSMAN

The hat hiding hooligan will continue to bolster his heat with a convincing win over the Bossman.

WWF TAG CHAMPIONS THE HART FOUNDATION BRET HART AND JIM NEIDHART VS RYTHMN AND BLUES HONKY TONK MAN AND GREG VALENTINE

I didn't see Honky buying rounds of Jack for the kid. :p

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION MR PERFECT VS THE BRITISH BULLDOG

This is a tough choice, but I think the Perfect one retains with some chicanery.

THE 4TH ANNUAL ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH, FEATURING:

RANDY SAVAGE

OOOOOOH YEAH! Besides, we don't get anywhere with everyone picking the same one guy out of 30, right?

WWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR VS SGT. SLAUGHTER

With Taker feuding with Hogan, it leaves Warrior free to take the gold straight on to Wrestlemania ... where he immediately drops it to Savage, and all is right with the world. :D

Alas, I am working much overtime this week, but have a mostly free weekend so The Rumble should be completed sometime towards the end of the week. In its place, I submit to you, dear readers, a little teaser to keep you guessing.

The Kid approached the arena side doors tentatively. Sure, he had been involved in the broadcasting of some major TV over the last month, but this was something else, his first PPV, The world famous Royal Rumble no less. Beyond these doors stood the biggest test of his character yet and he could feel the atmosphere flow through his body as he placed his fingertips on the handle. Or maybe that was the JD. As he turned the knob, he couldn't help but smile to himself. There had been moments when he considered turning his back on this upside down business but today wasn't one of them. Today was a day for celebrating how far he had come. Nothing could spoil today.

"IM GONNA KILL THAT NO GOOD SON OF A BITCH!"

Well, maybe not nothing...

"I swear to god that that ****sucker is gonna pay for this! Walk with me Kid, you got a lot to catch up on and fast!"

Vince marched towards the locker room as The Kid struggled to keep pace.

" I knew it was too good to be true! We agreed the Rumble finish weeks ago and now he phones me up and says he want's to change it?!"

"Whose "he" Mr McMahon?"

"Whose he?! Who do you think? Hogan of course!"

"Wait a minute? He wants to change the ending of The Rumble?"

"Keep up dip****! Yeah of course he does, he's Hulk ****in Hogan, thinks the world revolves around him!"

"Can he even do that?"

"You been living under a rock? He's been pulling these kinda moves for years. Creative control....I'd love to shove that contract so far up his ass.....Say's we change the ending or he walks."

"Sir, forgive me, but would that be so bad given the circumstances?"

"Bad? What are you on drugs? There's 30,000 people out there payed money to see that Orange freak compete!"

"So what happens now?"

Vince and The Kid made it to the locker room. There were no wrestlers present yet and wouldn't be for a couple of hours. In their place, Patterson, Monsoon, Lanza, Shane and Strongbow where sat around a makeshift table exchanging heated words until Vince slammed his hand on the table.

"Hogan thinks he can get creative with Vincent Kennedy McMahon? Gentlemen, nobody leaves this room until WE get creative with Hogan...."

I just started reading this diary today...really good stuff. I'm enjoying your unique approach to this, as I find I'm at least as interested in your backstory as I am in your actual wrestling storylines, if not more so. Keep up the excellent work!

THE ROCKERS VS THE NASTY BOYS

Shawn & Marty clearly have more future potential, and I think it's too soon to tease a split.

THE UNKNOWN COWBOY VS BIG BOSSMAN

No way can The Kid's biggest contribution to date suffer a loss this soon.

THE HART FOUNDATION VS RYTHMN AND BLUES

If you put the belts on Honky & Greg, I think I'd have to question your sanity.

MR PERFECT VS THE BRITISH BULLDOG

The Kid's conversation with Perfect about lightening his in-ring schedule makes me hesitate with this, but I'll still go with Perfecto.

THE 4TH ANNUAL ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH, FEATURING:

Judging by your teaser, I'd say Hogan wins the match, but you do a post-match angle to screw him out of the title shot.

THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR VS SGT. SLAUGHTER

I'm no Warrior fan, but I've always thought Slaughter getting the belt was a terrible decision. A Warrior/Hogan rematch would've done much better business IRL.

Nasty Boy's blow

THE UNKNOWN COWBOY VS BIG BOSSMAN

Love the Matt Borne angle!

THE HART FOUNDATION VS RYTHMN AND BLUES

Big Greg Valentine mark... time for Bret to go solo

MR PERFECT VS THE BRITISH BULLDOG

People can say what they want to about British Bulldog but he is the BEST big guy wrestler ever in my opinion... him vs. Bret ruled and he had a plethora full of other classics!

THE 4TH ANNUAL ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH, FEATURING:

Randy Savage

I love Macho

THE ROCKERS VS THE NASTY BOYS

The Harts need opponents, and why not start the tease on the Rockers' split early?

THE UNKNOWN COWBOY VS BIG BOSSMAN

This is a great angle

THE HART FOUNDATION VS RYTHMN AND BLUES

R&B were pretty much past it at this point - an easy enough defence for the Harts before you pull the trigger on Bret's solo run later

MR PERFECT VS THE BRITISH BULLDOG

One of the greats in-ring, and a shame that he never made it at the very top

THE 4TH ANNUAL ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH, FEATURING:

Hulk Hogan

You can't beat Creative Control... That is, unless he gets taken out of the match altogether.

Wow thanks thats a huge compliment, those guys are awesome writers. I promise there is more on the way very soon, I've been writing up The Rumble most of this afternoon.

8? I see 3, but anyways.

Caught up with this, and I'm loving it.

Yeah 8 pages on default Deadceleb. thanks again for the compliments.

And congrats to BoomKing on Rookie Diary of the Month - I think this is even your first diary of any kind, so that's an even bigger achievement

Thankyou very much James, it is a huge honour especially as you say because this is my first diary.

THE ROCKERS VS THE NASTY BOYS

Obviously Rockers need to go for the win. Period.

THE UNKNOWN COWBOY VS BIG BOSSMAN

As everyone else, I like this angle a lot too!

THE HART FOUNDATION VS RYTHMN AND BLUES

Going pretty heavily to left here in the start, but I really don't know too much about "RAB" (;]) so Hart Foundation gets the win.

MR PERFECT VS THE BRITISH BULLDOG

Britiiissshhh Bullddogggghh~! Although Mr. Perfect can get the win, not really sure about this.

THE 4TH ANNUAL ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH, FEATURING:

Hulk Hogan - Can't think anyone "better" for to win this match.

THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR VS SGT. SLAUGHTER

"NO CHAANCE IN HEELLL" to Sgt beat Warrior.

The Rockers vs The Nasty Boys

The Rockers have a huge future, while the Nastys are the Nastys.

The Unknown Cowboy vs Big Bossman

Very intrigueing character, and it's too early for Doink to loose yet.

The Hart Foundation vs R&B

He may have been "the greatest IC campion ever" but there's no way Honky can win this.

Mr Perfect vs The British Bulldog

This could go either way, but I'll go for Perfect.

The 4th Annual Royal Rumble Match, Featuring:

It could be the ??? option, thinking that a big new signing making a big impact, but I still think I'll go with Million Dollar Man, possibly buying the win from someone else. Would make sense to go into a MDM vs Warrior feud for title.

Ultimate Warrior vs Sgt. Slaughter

Warrior sucks, but he's super over, and Sarge is too old to put the belt on now, plus Warrior can feeeeeeel the force (aka has Creative Control).

LIVE FROM BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA IN FRONT OF 29,219 SCREAMING FANS

<a href="http://photobucket.com/images/birmingham%20alabama" target="_blank"><img src="http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/Albama2007/BirminghamAlabama.jpg" border="0" alt="Birmingham, Alabama Pictures, Images and Photos"/></a>

Your Commentators are Gorilla Monsoon and Rowdy Roddy Piper

GORILLA- Welcome everyone to the fourth annual Royal Rumble! And what a lineup we have for you tonight. I'd go as far as to say this could be the greatest Rumble yet Roddy.

PIPER- Boy you said it Monsoon! I hope you're ready to rumble tonight because the decks are stacked, theres about fifteen guys in there who could legitimately win this thing!

GORILLA- On top of that, all the titles are on the line, as The Hart foundation take on Rythmn and Blues, Mr Perfect defends against The British Bulldog and most importantly of all, The Ultimate Warrior puts his WWF championship on the line against the Iraqi sympathiser Sgt. Slaughter.

PIPER- Slaughter has gone out of his way to goad Warrior leading upto this match and as a result, the Warrior has been as emotional as I have ever seen him. The question is though, will he let his emotions get the better of him tonight?

GORILLA- All those matches will be coming up later, but first, lets head down to the ring for the introductions for our opening bout.

THE ROCKERS MARTY JANNETTY AND SHAWN MICHEALS VS THE NASTY BOYS BRIAN KNOBBS AND JERRY SAGS

GORILLA- It looks like Jannetty is going to start with Saggs, and I gotta believe Rowdy, that the winner of this match will have a huge claim to be the number one contenders to the WWF tag titles.

PIPER- Without a doubt Monsoon. To me, this is an unofficial number one contenders match, no doubt about it.

The match starts relatively open until The Nasty's use cheap tactics to take control. The Nasty Boys isolate The Heart Break Kid with quick tags and ground and pound tactics. Micheals refuses to give in and constantly reaches for the tag, but Sags and Knobbs are doing too good a job of isolating him in their corner. The Nasty Boys start to get over confident though, and Micheals uses this to his advantage, hitting Knobbs with a huge superkick and both men are down.

Micheals kips up after a 6 count from the ref, and reaches over to finally tag in Jannetty! Jannetty cleans house, taking out both Nasty Boys with dropkicks and forearms. Micheals is back to his feet and helps his partner deliver stereo dropkicks to Jerry Sags. Sags is on his back, Jannetty and Micheals grab a leg each...the crowd knows whats coming next! Make a wish!

Jannetty gets a two count which is broken up by Knobbs. Jannetty turns his attention to Knobbs which allows Sags to cheap shot him from behind. Sags clubs Jannetty in the corner and applies the most devastating move in his arsenal...the pit stop! Jannetty staggers out of the corner and Sags sets him up for a pump handle drop...but Jannetty slips out of it and gets a small package! 1...2....NO! Knobbs interupts the count to the chagrin of the referee who bundles him out of the ring.

Jannetty goes up top whilst the refs back is turned. It looks like their going for the rocker-plex! Micheals hits the vertical suplex, and Jannetty gets the huge crossbody off the top rope! Micheals exits the ring, and the ref turns in time to count the 1....2....3!

WINNERS: THE ROCKERS

GORILLA- What a huge victory for The Rockers! Those young men haven't got an ounce of quit in them.

PIPER- What Micheals and Jannetty just did was send a huge message to the tag champions.

GORILLA- And of course we may have new WWF tag team champions by the end of the night. But first ladies and gentlemen, a match that was made only five days ago, as The Big Bossman takes on...well we still don't know his name!

PIPER- Yeah, what's the deal with this bozo Gorilla? Cat got his tongue or what? And it seems like everybody is as much in the dark as we are. I haven't met one WWF official who knows who this guy is, where he came from, or who signed him.

GORILLA- Maybe you should get him on Pipers Pit and ask him yourself Roddy?

PIPER- You know, that's not a bad idea Gorilla.

GORILLA- All we know about this guy is that he is one mean and nasty individual and that he remains undefeated in a WWF ring, but tonight he meets his toughest opponent yet in the shape of The Big Bossman

THE UNKNOWN COWBOY VS THE BIG BOSSMAN

Bossman is first to the ring and stands waiting in anticipation of Borne. Borne slowly makes his way down the ramp, but Bossman is in no mood to wait, and meets him halfway with a clothesline taking Borne down to the canvas for the first time ever. The crowd eats it up as Bossman pummels Borne in the entranceway with stinging rights and lefts.

The match has not yet officially started as Bossman drags Borne to the ring and rolls him in. Despite the early beatdown, Borne manages to keep his hat on throughout. The former prison officer tries to forcibly remove the hat but Borne grabs him by the throat. The ref calls for a break and gets it after a four count. At this point, the cowboy gains the upper hand in the match, methodically taking apart The Bossman. He pummels Bossman into the corner and unleashes with shoulders to the mid section. Bossman is now sat in the corner. Borne charges from the other side of the ring and knee's Bossman right in the kisser.

Bossman is out of it, and Borne drags him to the centre of the ring, looking for his devastating Texas cloverleaf finisher. Bossman, however, has other ideas. He gathers his bearings just in time to push the cowboy off of him. Both men are up as Bossman hits a huge throat thrust on Borne, which staggers him back. Bossman goes for his Bossman slam but Borne shoulders out of it and hits a wicked Northern Lights suplex of his own to pick up the victory

WINNER: THE UNKNOWN COWBOY

GORILLA- Another impressive victory for....wait a minute!

Borne locks in his texas cloverleaf and refuses to release it! Officials and referees enter the ring to try and break the hold but Borne is relentlessly applying more and more pressure to the Bossman. Eventually they manage to release them but the damage has already been done.

GORILLA- The match was over! There was no earthly reason why that man had to do that to The Bossman!

PIPER- He's certainly making a name for himself Monsoon....even if we don't know what it is!

GORILLA- Bossman looks out of it Roddy, I don't care who you are, nobody can last that long in that manouver without long lasting effects.

PIPER- The Bossman knew what he was doing when he challenged this guy to a match Monsoon.

GORILLA- And so we move to our third match of the night, and our first of three title matches.

PIPER- Oh man am I ready for this one Gorilla! The Hart Foundation are chomping at the bit to get their hands on Rythmn and Blues!

GORILLA- And who can blame them, considering the verbal and physical beatdowns they have endured at the hands of Honky and Valentine.

THE HART FOUNDATION BRET HART AND JIM NEIDHART VS RYTHMN AND BLUES HONKY TONK MAN AND GREG VALENTINE

The Anvil starts off for The Hart Foundation and Honky enters the ring...but Jim doesnt want him, he wants The Hammer! He points at Greg Valentine who is more than happy to step in the ring. The Anvil and The Hammer lock up and power each other around the ring. The Anvil finally gets the advantage and powers Valentine down to the canvas

The Hammer returns to his feet tentatively. Another lockup and this time Valentine powers The Anvil down to the mat. Neidhart back to his feet and they lock up for a third time...but Valentine cheapshots Neidhart with a boot to the midsection. He whips Neidhart into the ropes and tries to shoulderblock him down, but The Anvil proves too strong. He challenges Greg to try again, so he does with no success. Anvil tells him to try one more time, so Valentine runs the ropes...but Anvil locks in a sleeper!

The Anvil has Valentine in the center of the ring flailing his arms trying to break out of the vicious submission hold. He backs Neidhart into the corner and Honky gets a blind tag. Honkytonk man climbs into the ring and clotheslines The Anvil to the back of the head. Anvil releases the hold and staggers into his corner where he tags in The Hitman

Bret enters the ring and immediately hiptossses the onrushing Honky. He keeps hold of the arm and gets a modified armbar. Honky works back upto his vertical base and takes a wild swing at Bret. Bret ducks and hits a back suplex for a two count. The Hitman goes for the sharpshooter early but Honky has too much left and forces his way out of it with a poke to the eyes.

Honky is on offence now. He takes Bret down with a vertical suplex and goes up top for a diving fist drop...but Bret moves just in the nick of time! Bret tags back out to The Anvil. Clubbing forearms by Neidhart send Honky crashing down to the canvas. He whips Honky into the corner, and follows in with a huge clothesline. Anvil tags back to Bret and signals for the Hart attack!

Bret goes up top but Jimmy Hart grabs his leg, drawing the attention of the referee. This allows Greg to enter the ring and hits a belly to back suplex on The Anvil! The ref is still tied up with Bret and Jimmy Hart so he doesn't see Honky reach for his guitar and swing it violently at Neidhart...but The Anvil sees it coming and ducks! Flying shoulderblock by Neidhart to Honky, and one more to Valentine! He covers Honky and the ref turns to count it, but Neidhart is not the legal man!

The ref ushers Neidhart out of the ring. Bret is still on the ropes and hits a second rope bulldog on Honky for a two count. Inverted atomic drop by Bret sets up the Sharpshooter, and this time he locks it in hard! Honky has no choice but to tap out!

WINNERS, AND STILL WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: THE HART FOUNDATION

MONSOON: The Hart Foundation did it! They finally shut up The Honky Tonk man and Greg Valentine!

PIPER- And don't forget that little worm Jimmy Hart!

MONSOON: It certainly hasn't been a great evening for Jimmy Hart, as both his tag teams have lost their matchups, and I couldn't wish it on a more deserving person!

PIPER- I was hoping that Jim was gonna wrap that guitar around that creampuff's neck!

MONSOON- Easy now Roddy! There's still plenty of excitement to come, including our next matchup for The Intercontinental Title.

PIPER- Mr Perfect has outsmarted Davey Boy Smith at every turn over the last month, but tonight is the first time they have faced each other one on one.

MR PERFECT VS THE BRITISH BULLDOG, DAVEY BOY SMITH

The excitement of the crowd is palpable as Perfect and Davey finally face off after weeks of attacks. They go nose to nose until perfect breaks the deadlock with a huge slap to the face of The Bulldog. Davey staggers but gets straight back into Perfects face. Perfect slaps him again, this time harder, taking the big man down to one knee. Davey Boy gets straight back up. Perfect raises his hand again but Bulldog catches it and performs an armdrag!

Perfect gets up and walks straight into two more armdrags before exiting the ring to seek solace from his manager, Bobby Heenan. Heenan comforts Perfect as the ref begins to count. Bulldog follows him to the outside with a clothesline. He picks Perfect up and tries to whip him into the ring apron, but Perfect reverses and whips Bulldog into the unforgiving steel steps.

Perfect rolls into the ring and tell's the ref to keep counting. He gets upto 8 before Bulldog can get back in. Perfect kicks him whilst he's down and drops the elbow for an early two count. Both men back to their feet and they exchange open hand chops which Bulldog gets the better of. He alternates between headbutts and chops, send Perfect reeling into the ropes. He leans back, and his arms get trapped in the ropes!

The crowd realise what an advantage this for the Bulldog and will him to make the most of it. Bulldog rubs his hands and prepares to clothesline Perfect over the top but Heenan free's him as the crowd boo's.

Perfect kicks Davey Boy in the midsection, making him double over in pain, leaving him prone to a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Hennig signals for the Perfect-plex, but Davey Boy blocks it! He counters into a gorilla press drop for a two count of his own.

Both men back up and Bulldog scoops up Perfect for a long delayed hanging vertical suplex for another two count. Bulldog can't believe it, he thought that was three. Enough is enough and he signals for his patented running powerslam..and it connects! Bulldog goes for the cover 1....2.......NO! Perfect gets his foot across the bottom rope... with a little help from Heenan. Davey Boy Smith is rightly angry and has heated words with The Brain. Perfect uses the distraction to schoolboy The Bulldog! 1.....2.....kickout at 2!

Davey Boy looks for a lariat but Mr Perfect see's it coming and dropkicks Bulldog's knee out from under him. Davey writhes around the ring in pain. Perfect smells blood and applies a kneebar. Perfect changes into an Indian deathlock and The Bulldog is clearly struggling. The referee asks him if he want's to quit but there's no quit in Davey!

Davey Boy rallies the crowd and powers the move over, reversing the pressure onto Perfect! Perfect drags himself over to the ropes to break the hold. Davey Boy is in the ascendancy again despite the bad wheel. He picks Mr Perfect up for a powerbomb but his knee gives way! Perfect lands on his feet and goes for the Perfect-plex again...and he hits it! 1......2.......3!

WINNER AND STILL WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION: MR PERFECT

MONSOON: What an effort by Davey Boy Smith! He had Mr Perfect beaten on several occassions!

PIPER: Thay may be Monsoon, but the fact remains that Perfect is still the Intercontinental champion, and he pinned Bulldog cleanly.

MONSOON: He pinned him cleanly eventually Roddy, but he had more than a little help from The Brain during the course of the matchup.

PIPER: That's why he gets paid the big bucks Gorilla!

MONSOON: And so, ladies and gentlemen, we move onto our featured bout of the evening, The Royal Rumble! Before we head to the ring, here's what some of the competitors make of their chances.

MACHO KING RANDY SAVAGE

Ohhhhh yeaaaaah! The Macho King is live at the Royal Rumble and it doesn't matter what number they decide to give me because maths is for pencil neck geeks! Diggit! There's gonna be a lot of carnage, broken bones and damaged ego's in that ring tonight, oh yeah, and the tide might me be high, but Im holding on! I'm gonna be your number one contender for the WWF title!

MILLION DOLLAR MAN, THE WARLORD, THE BARBARIAN and HAKU

Hahahahahahahahaaaaa! The Royal Rumble is finally here and I have assembled the finest team that money can buy! I've got the Samoan Savage Haku, a man that is going to single handedly decimate the competition as the number one entrant! I've got The Barbarian to take out anybody who stands in his way, and of course, the mighty Warlord to mop up the pieces and destroy anybody whose left! And that just leaves me, your NEW number one contender for The WWF World heavyweight title, because everybody has a price for The Million Dollar Man! Hahahahahahaaa

HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN

Hooooooooooooooooooooo! They say that experience counts for an awful lot and as the first ever Royal Rumble winner, thats a whole lot of experience! Tonight, The Hacksaw is going to prove once and for all that he belongs in the main event, and come the end of the night, old glory will be waving high and proud!

JAKE ROBERTS

Ahhh, The Royal Rumble....The one night of the year when we all get the chance to prove our worth... The one night when anyone on the roster can rise to the main event at WrestleMania. Im not a man who makes grand promises, but tonight, I guarantee that if me and you are in the ring at the same time Ted Dibiase... you will quickly learn why they call me The Snake!

Oh...and before I leave, I also promised a big surprise in store tonight, and they don't get much bigger than the 7' 4" Andre The Giant!

MONSOON- WOW! That's a huge announcement!

PIPER- The Million Dollar Man wasn't counting on the return of Andre, thats for sure!

MONSOON- Lets take it down to the ring, where Howard Finkle will explain the rules.

FINKLE- Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is The ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH! Two participants will start in the ring and a new participant will enter every two minutes until all thirty men have entered the ring. Competitiors can only be eliminated by being thrown over the top rope and both feet must touch the floor. The winner of this match will go on to compete in the main event at WresteMania for the World Heavyweight championship.

HAKU of course is number one. Number two is TITO SANTANA. Haku proves too strong for Santana and tries to dump him early but Tito holds on. In all the confusion, Savage takes his chance to get rid of Tornado who is also Irate! The Undetaker grabs hold of Hogans arm and tries to forcibly pull him over the top. WINNER AND NUMBER ONE CONTENDER: HULK HOGAN

Savage hears the bell and he can't believe it! He and the crowd know that he went through the ropes but the referee has made his decision. Hogan seems as legitimately confused as anyone. He celebrates for a short while but quickly makes his way to the back.

MONSOON- What just happened? Savage went through the ropes not over them! He may have made some questionable decisions but that has to rank right up there!

PIPER- What a miscarriage of justice! The referee's should have been watching!

MONSOON- Be that as it may, the referee's decision IS final Roddy, and they say Hogan wins and is our new number one contender.

PIPER- I don't like it one bit Monsoon, but I guess I'm gonna have to accept it.

MONSOON- And now it's finally time for our main event this evening, the world heavyweight title match between champion The Ultimate Warrior and the Iraqi sympathiser Sgt Slaughter.

A short video is shown highlighting the fued, followed by new promo's from champion and challenger.

MONSOON- Strong words from both men there! Lets send this one down to ringside!

SGT. SLAUGHTER VS THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR

The Ultimate Warrior makes his usual energetic entrance to the delight of the crowd! He lays into Slaughter before the bell, determined to make the turncoat pay for his recent actions. He hits Slaughter with multiple running clotheslines taking him down to the mat on every occasion. Big boot by the Ultimate Warrior gets a two count.

Slaughter resorts to cheap tactics, raking the eyes of Warrior, and taking control of the match. Slaughter hits an inverted suplex slam which takes its effect on The Warrior. Slaughter hits Warrior with multiple elbow drops to the back and poses for the crowd. He lays the Iraqi flag across Warrior and goes to the second rope for one more elbow drop...but Warrior moves!

Warrior tries to rally back but Slaughter again gets cheap and low blows Warrior. Slaughter locks in a sapping bearhug as all the energy drains out of Warriors face. The ref lifts his arm and it drops to his side. He tries again, and again the arm drops. He tries a third time.....but Warrior is back! The crowd claps and stomps their feet to help Warrior. The Ultimate Warrior rears back and lands a hard right hand to the head of Slaugher, followed by another and another! Slaughter stumbles back but maintains the hold, swinging Warrior around like a ragdoll.

Warrior gathers himself again and crashes his arms against Slaughter like a set of cymbals! Slaughters lock is broken! The two behemoths duke it out in the center of the ring, the crowd cheering each blow landed by The Warrior and booing mercilessly everytime Slaughter connects. Eventually, Warrior gets the better of the exchange, and hits Sarge with a huge flying shoulder block! Warrior is now in the ascendancy, he tosses Slaughter into the ropes...and gets a bearhug of his own! Slaughter is clearly dropping fast and has to do something soon to stay in the match.

Slaughter's manager Colonel Mustafa tries to interfere in the match but is stopped by the ref! The distraction allows Slaughter to again cheat by biting the forearm of The Warrior, causing him to release the hold! A groggy Warrior runs the ropes an goes for a clothesline but Slaughter ducks and kicks The Warrior in the midsection. He sets Warrior up for a piledriver, and he hits it! Slaughter rolls over for the pin! 1.....2.......NO! Warrior kicks out! They both struggle to their feet and trade punches for a second time, this time Slaughter gets the advantage. He rattles off 4 right hands, then goes for a knock out fifth, but Warrior avoids it and just manages to raise Slaughter above his head, then drops him hard to the canvas! Warrior runs the ropes and goes for a big splash, and it connects! Warrior rolls him over for the pin. 1.....2....3!

WINNER AND STILL WWF CHAMPION: THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR

MONSOON- WARRIOR WINS! The Ultimate Warrior has been in some epic battles since he became our champion, but this surely ranks high above them all!

PIPER- Without a doubt! A lesser man wouldn't have been able to withstand a beating like that! Warrior wins, not just for himself and his fans, but for everybody all over America and all the freedom loving nations in the world!

MONSOON- We're almost out of time, but we leave you with the images in the ring, The Ultimate Warrior celebrating his retention of his WWF Title!
