Dazzling Dave Diamond has left the place he got his first big break, New York City Wrestling, while his NEO tag partner, Amber Allen, signs with AAA.

Exodus 2010 opens in Japan and once again we drop again in the rankings. >_

Runaway Train wins the SWF World Heavyweight Championship from Lobster Warrior. While not as laughable as Everest winning MAW's top title, I feel that if SWF gets a bit unlucky this move will hurt them.

The American Flash breaks his tail bone at a CZCW event. He'll be out for a month.

We re-signed Rock Downpour for $700 and Danny Patterson for $450.

The vultures of the wrestling world are trying to offer Frankie Perez and Brandon Smith jobs. Thankfully they aren't big enough to accept their offer and drop me, though I am getting a little scared that the big dogs are going to come calling.

NEO Last Chance At Glory

• After getting cheated in their previous matches, Commissioner Jake Sawyer have added both Brandon Smith and Ultimate Phoenix to the 3rd and final qualifier for the NEO Generation 3-way at Novus Ordo Seclorum II. The match will now be a fatal four way between Brandon Smith, Brendan Idol, Hugh de Aske, and Ultimate Phoenix.

• Also on the card will be NEO Generation challenger, Frankie Perez, taking on Masked Patriot, Arthur Dexter Bradley taking on The Fallen's Brimstone, and the second semi-final for the NEO World Tag Team title when Allen & Diamond take on Sensationally Powerful.

Quick Picks

Brandon Smith vs. Brendon Idol vs. Hugh de Aske vs. Ultimate Phoenix

Allen & Diamond drew with Sensationally Powerful in 9:43 following a double count out. - E+

Notes: The announcing quality lifted the match. The color commentary gave the match a boost. This match brought the crowd's mood down. Dazzling Dave Diamond is improving in Performance skills.

Commissioner Jake Sawyer comes down to the ring. He takes a microphone and says that since the match ended in a draw, both teams will move on to the finals! The title match is now a 3-way for the title between Sensationally Powerful, Allen & Diamond, and the American Joshis.

Right after that announcement Brendan Idol make his way ring. The Teen Dream is pissed off about his qualifying match against de Aske getting changed to a fatal four-way. Idol says he going to stick it to Sawyer and the rest of NEO by winning the match anyway. - D+

Brandon Smith cuts a promo hyping up his upcoming match with Brendan Idol, Hugh de Aske, and Ultimate Phoenix. After giving his usual feeling on wanting to be the best wrestler in NEO and respecting his opponents, Smith mentions someone took his Masked Patriot mask and asks the wrestlers in the back and the fans in attendance to please notify NEO management if they find it. - D-

Hugh de Aske cuts a promo hyping up his upcoming match with Brandon Smith, Brendon Idol, and Ultimate Phoenix. He pretty much repeats what he said last month and says he's going to win the match "by hook or by crook, ARG!" - D+

Notes: The color commentary gave the match a boost.

Ultimate Phoenix cuts a promo hyping up his upcoming match with Brandon Smith, Brendan Idol, and Hugh de Aske. He realizes that they are four of the best wrestlers in the world and says that any four of them would make a fine choice to being the NEO Generation champion (2 time champion in Smith's case). However, it's his experience that going to give him the edge in this match. - C-

Ultimate Phoenix defeated Brendan Idol, Hugh de Aske and Brandon Smith in 28:44 when Ultimate Phoenix defeated Brandon Smith by pinfall with a Phoenix Firebird Splash. - C-

Notes: Brendan Idol seemed off his game tonight. The color commentary gave the match a boost.

Overall: D+

Show Thoughts: For a storyline centric card, I think the show went pretty well. I kind of booked myself into a corner with the World Tag Team tournament finals and the Generation title matches both being triple threats, but I think I am over thinking the situation and no one would have cared if I didn't just state that fact right now.

In other news, since I've finished 2011 in game and am excited to share with you what happens with NEO I will be going back to double daily posts. Expect the monthly review and prediction card up around sometime this evening.

Mid Atlantic Wrestling finally comes to their senses and has Fumihiro Ota wins the new Mid Atlantic Champion from Everest.

In a story more meant for the TMZ sites, long time couple Black Eagle and Raven Nightfall break up! I'd go into more, but really I couldn't care less. Note to self: Call Raven Nightfall about going to dinner and a movie.

I'm still back on page eight, but am really liking this.

Keep it up, my friend.

:)

Coming from you, that is an honor. I hope the rest of the diary doesn't disappoint. ;)

NEO Novus Ordo Seclorum II

• In a match that's been months in the making, The "Dark Star" Erik Strong defends his title in what may be his toughest challenge yet as he faces Frankie Perez and Ultimate Phoenix.

• Feeling screwed out of yet another chance at the title, Brendan Idol challenges the first NEO Generation champion, Brandon Smith. Never to back down from a challenge Smith has accepted.

• After the past couple of months certain members of the NEO roster have been proclaiming themselves to be the best prospect in wrestling. Well as Jake Sawyer more or less have told these men to "put their money where their mouth is" and have booked a fatal fourway between Masked Patriot, Hugh de Aske, Arthur Dexter Bradley, and new comer Jared Johnson.

• At Novus Ordo Seclorum II, a new set of champions will be crowned as the teams of Allen & Diamond, the American Joshis, and Sensationally Powerful fight for the chance to be the first ever NEO World Tag Team champions in an elimination style tag team match.

• Last month Commissioner Jake Sawyer proclaimed that his bodyguard, Danny Patterson, would be showing his dominance at NOS II. Well, The Tower Of London has a large test in front of him as he takes the monsterous Primus Allen.

Quick Picks

NEO Generation: Dark Star © vs. Frankie Perez vs. Ultimate Phoenix

Brandon Smith vs. Brendan Idol

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Hugh de Aske vs. Jared Johnson vs. Masked Patriot

NEO World Tag Team Finals: Allen & Triple D vs. American Joshis vs. Sensationally Powerful

Danny Patterson vs. Primus Allen

OOC: Evening, afternoon what's the difference? :D Just remember to get your predictions in before the show is put up tomorrow afternoon (or late morning depending on when I get up).

NEO Generation: Dark Star © vs. Frankie Perez vs. Ultimate Phoenix

I don't know how much longer you can keep Frankie, but so far, he has produced quality matches from anyone which is the main quality a champion should have. The whole Dark Star & cie is winding down at this point, maybe putting them in the chase rather than on top would be refreshing.

Brandon Smith vs. Brendan Idol

I just can't get behind Idol regardless of his gimmick.

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Hugh de Aske vs. Jared Johnson vs. Masked Patriot

I think he's the more estasblished of the four at this point.

NEO Generation: Dark Star © vs. Frankie Perez vs. Ultimate Phoenix

Never was a big fan of goth-y characters, to be honest, even though Dark Star is one of the better. He certainly has delivered the quality main event matches that has built the company, so he has that going for him, I'm just not big on the facepaint/guyliner, I guess. :p I really like masked lucha guys, though, so I'm going with Phoenix.

Brandon Smith vs. Brendan Idol

Could be Idol's break-out win.

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Hugh de Aske vs. Jared Johnson vs. Masked Patriot

The pirate is a good wrestler. I think he will win this wrestling battle.

NEO World Tag Team Finals: Allen & Triple D vs. American Joshis vs. Sensationally Powerful

Normally DDD is my boy, and as everyone has noted the Joshis are on a roll, but I really like the Sensationally Powerful pairing. (so much so that I'm currently in the process of stealing it for my own game)

Danny Patterson vs. Primus Allen

You have invested a lot in Patterson so far, so I'm guessing his push won't stop here just because another big scary dude is on the scene.

I'm confused. I'm a huge fan of these sorts of diaries, but I never read past the first post or two until the past few days and then I devoured the rest of it and I'm really digging it. I love the mix of the cast-offs and throw-aways as well as a few gems. (Even though I'm not a BBS fan, he's too good not to use.) I like the attention to detail of the smaller players and storylines.

And I've always been a fan of the 'rest of the world' stuff. I like how while you're a small federation but the prestige currently outstrips the size of the company.

And I can't remember if you still have him on the roster but... it might be quicker to simply say when American Flash is ON his game. He seems to never be on.

NEO Generation: Dark Star © vs. Frankie Perez vs. Ultimate Phoenix

- I see no reason to end the reign of the Dark Star, plus he's got a good stable behind him and I think there's more story to be told with him as the champ.

Brandon Smith vs. Brendan Idol

- I suspect Smith is on his way out sooner rather than later, so building up some stars to replace him and his talent seems paramount and the Teen Dream could be one of those guys.

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Hugh de Aske vs. Jared Johnson vs. Masked Patriot

- I'm not sure who MP is in this incarnation. Johnson needs some more time before he moves up the card. And ADB... needs a hook before I get behind him. Aske is an easy fit and a marketable gimmick. So he continues to move up the card.

NEO World Tag Team Finals: Allen & Triple D vs. American Joshis vs. Sensationally Powerful

- I love Dave but Sensationally Powerful are too good a team and deserve an early reign with the titles. I realize I'm picking WAY too many heels but I've always loved heels more than faces.

Danny Patterson vs. Primus Allen

- Allen is good, but I can't see the point of having the commissioner's new bodyguard drop his 'debut' match as a bodyguard to a newcomer.

Overall: C

Show Thoughts: Finally. I finally get one of my biggest shows of the year to actually be the biggest show of the year so far. With the C overall rating Novus Ordo Seclorum II is offically the best booked show we've had to date and I'm am extremely pleased with the show all around. Couldn’t crack the impressive match between Deeley & Allen, but that's going to be a tall order for my promotion right now. Hopefully I can get to setting the record by the end of the year.

You might have noticed that this event was held in the middle of the month. This is because Frankie Perez decided to go on tour with WLW, which bumped us off his schedule. Didn't change the winner of the triple threat though it does mean I will have to find someone to replace him on the roster. Though I can see that you, like myself, are Perez marks and probably want to know why I went with Phoenix. Well it's pretty simple. He's more way more over than Perez, is just as talented (maybe even more talented), is still relatively young, and most importantly, UP isn't going to be going to be accepting touring in Japan that would bump my off his schedule.

And I guess I should comment on putting the titles on Sensationally Powerful. I choose them because it was the safest option and because I wanted to put the title on Singh. Plus, I am hoping that with their tag chemistry the duo will give me some decent grades. Jaime Quine was unhappy about losing, the match but I couldn't care less about that warning because it either I am doing it for a good reason and will be fixing their mood later on or I am jobbing someone out.

Oh, and congrats to Showtime4Lajf who correctly guessed the card. I'm not sure how you did it as their were three matches that were toss-ups, but good work anyway! :D

Awesome card (with all the right guys winning. :p) NEO must be growing at a ridiculous rate with all these great shows.

The loss of Perez might hurt you a bit, but looking at this card even if Perez wouldn't have been there, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have hurt the grade very much.

Black Hat Bailey leaves NYCW and The Stomper gives the head booking position to The Masked Mauler.

Melody Cuthill isn't being re-signed by NOTBPW. Thank freaking god. I really didn't want to have had to build another face tag team at this moment.

Frankie will be missed, but you are correct in saying that his lost alone isn't going to affect the grades too much.

NEO Heat Wave

• At Ultimate Phoenix's request, the first person to challenge for Phoenix's newly won NEO Generation title will be none other than "The Best Prospect In Wrestling" Hugh de Aske.

• Speaking of prospects, in the semi-main event Arthur Dexter Bradley and Masked Patriot will face off against the former champion, Erik Strong, in a Triple Threat match.

• After taking care of Primus Allen, Sawyer's right hand man, Danny Paterson, takes on the pucky up and coming Jared Johnson.

• Newly crowded as the NEO World Tag Team champions, Sensationally Powerful takes on Ben Williams and Keith Vegas in a non-title match.

Congratulation on a great show - and although losing Perez hurts he was always going to leave sometime, so at least you hadn't built him up too much.

Unless you're seriously depushing Dark Star, this will keep him in the title hunt.

Danny Patterson vs. Jared Johnson

Another one to do the job to Danny

NEO Generation: Hugh de Aske vs. Ultimate Phoenix ©

- I can't see hotshotting the title from UP to Aske, and Aske isn't quite ready for the belt... yet.

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Dark Star vs. Masked Patriot

- Probably needs this more than most, for himself and for the Fallen stable. I suspect Ms. De Eville will help the Dark Star pick up a tainted victory.

Danny Patterson vs. Jared Johnson

- It helps to have the commissioner on your side.

Non-Title: IWC 2.0 vs. Sensationally Power ©

- Because SenPow are that much better than IWC 2.0.

Brandon Smith vs. Jefferson Stardust

- I suspect Smith is on his way out and his farewell job just might be to put over the Sinister Bunny Stardust! No, I'm not joking.

Sensationally Powerful defeated I.W.C 2.0 in 4:36 when Sensational Singh defeated Keith Vegas by submission with a Bombay Duck. - E

Notes: Sensational Singh really needs a change to his character desperately. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. This match brought the crowd's mood down.

Sensationally Powerful takes time after the match to brag about being the first ever NEO World Tag Team champions. They are interrupted by the team of Allen & Diamond. The First Couple of NEO state that they've just been informed that since they were the last team to get eliminated, they will be the first team to challenge Sensationally Powerful. And that match is going to take place next month! The two teams banter back with each other, but Sensational Singh gets the last word when he asks Dazzzling Dave Diamond to expalin to Amber Allen "How their team got into the World Tag Team tournament in the first place." - E+

Notes: Sienna DeVille did some good work at ringside. The colour commentary gave the match a boost.

Hugh de Aske is in the back preparing for his title match. He starts to cut his usual promo about being the best prospect in wrestling, but stops when he mentions the NEO Generation title. A huge smile gets on his face and he screams "ME GETTIN' DA BOOTY!" and storms out of the back room area to the ring. - D+

Ultimate Phoenix defeated Hugh de Aske in 27:11 by pinfall with a Phoenix Firebird Splash. Ultimate Phoenix makes defence number 1 of his NEO Generation title. - C+

After the a hard fought match, Ultimate Phoenix is making his way to the back after slapping the hands of the fans in the front row when he's attacked by hooded figure. The Heavyweight puts the boots the champion, leaving him down and out. As some of the younger wrestlers come out to help Ultimate Phoenix, the hooded man takes off the hood to reveal...The Masked Patriot!? - D+

Overall: C-

Show Thoughts: Aske/UP is the new best match of the year, but the undercard brought the card down. Maybe the lack of Perez did effect the ratings. Heh. Of course the card was a little predictable, well the matches were predictable anyway. ;)

Jared Johnson was unhappy about losing to Patterson, which isn't surprising considering Patterson is a total unknown outside of the UK and Great Lakes areas. However, Johnson isn't ready for a strong push yet and Patterson needs to be at least a little credible so when the time comes and someone does try to go "Stone Cold" on Sawyer, Patterson can do something about it.

Pretty slow on the news front, but there were a couple of interesting tidbits of information:

After Heatwave, we finally moved past CWWF in importance, but somehow fell behind EWA in influence.

For the first time in NEO's history, we were a part of a Regional battle for the Great Lakes region and finished 3rd behind NYCW and CZCW.

Our champion, Ultimate Phoenix has finally made his way to Mexico and signs with MPWF. On a side note he's now a D in the Great Lakes. Another NEO talent, Jared Johnson, has also picking up another PPA contract. He signed with 4C.

It wasn't that hard to figure out, but Hooded Kudo entered the Hall of Immortals when he actually retired.

NEO Pounding The Rock

• After being called out by Brandon Smith and attacking Ultimate Phoenix, the man who stole Brandon Smith, wanting to be known as "The Unknown Patriot," will be facing off against Brandon Smith in the main event.

• In their first title defense, Sensationally Powerful takes on Amber Allen and Dazzling Dave Diamond.

Overall: D-

Show Thoughts: This is the worst card I've had in a while and it's all thanks to the second show finally dropping with Brandon Smith. The talented heavyweight not only had a terrible match with the man under the mask of The Unknown Patriot, but he's going on tour with GCG, bumping us off from his schdule. >_

The reason for the terrible main event mostly had to do with Brandon Smith actually being the Unknown Patriot. In fact he was under the guy attacking Phoenix and turned heel in the process. But now that's scrapped and there is someone else under the hood. To get the match in before Smith left AND I had a replacement for The Unknown Patriot, I had to move the event up to a day that UP couldn't be at the show. This meant the planned match between UP/Smith(heel) wouldn't take place. And though I stated in a couple of other threads that I am now through 2011 in-game, there was a long moment of me scrapping the diary after this storyline got busted up.

Oh the joy of running an small upcoming company :p

The Japanese wrestling scene might be a bit too strong in this game edition, it's rather hard for everyone to keep the good worker on home ground. These days, I basically go with people that don't want to work in Japan just to be safe.

Am I the only one amazed that Stardust was NOT off his game ?

With the disaster of a card it's no surprise to see that we finished 3rd again in the regional battle and gained 0% popularity for our troubles.

We did however sign Bradford Peverell for $700 last month and re-signed Jack Napier for $300, Masked Patriot for $700, Sara Silver for $900, and Ultimate Phoenix for $1500/$700 this month, so at least there is some good news.

In other news:

In a bit of a shock, Marat Khoklov retires from wrestling.

After snagging Brandon Smith, GCG rises to National right before our September show, A Walk Through Hell. Can't wait to see more touring and even written offers from the company to derail my plans.

During a match at USPW, Hugh de Aske is out with a stinger, one day before A Walk Through Hell. Damn you Jim Force! Damn you!

With so much bad news, there was one good piece of news that happened to us. Kathy Neptune signs with AAA. Not shabby for a "dancer" from BSC.

NEO A Walk Through Hell

• After complaining to Commissioner Jake Sawyer, Brendan Idol has been added to this month's main event, which was suppose to be Ultimate Phoenix taking on NEO's best technical wrestler, Amber Allen (which was surprising to hear in it's own right after the events of Pounding The Rock). With one of the best high flyers added to the mix, can Ultimate Phoenix retain his title or can Idol or Allen pick up the upset? It should be noted that Dazzling Dave Diamond has been suspended for this show following the actions.

• No matter who wins, we know who will be challenging for NEO Generation title at Hallowed Dreams 2010. Dark Star and The Fallen have stated that Strong will be getting his rematch at that time. This month however, he faces off against the young and upcoming Masked Patriot.

• Tired of stretching out wrestlers in the pre-show, Marc Speed has made an open challenge. This challenge has been accepted, though Sawyer is keeping who this mystery man (or woman) is till the actual event.

• After being dumped by the Neptunes, Jefferson Stardust looks to get some revenge for taking on the twin's new "boyfriend," Bradford Peverell.

Overall: D+

Show Thoughts: That's better. It might not be in the Cs, but it's a step on the right track to where NEO needs to be. Also, Matthew Keith is still the man. :)

On a sad note, Amber Allens signed a written deal with NOTBPW, so unless she gets re-signed with them during a period when they are in Cult (if they drop again) she's isn't coming back. Oh well, it was a good run for the Equality Fighter. And to be honest, I didn't have anything for her to do after her feud with the newly turned Dazzling Dave Diamond.

Getting back the belt might get that emo kid Strong to stop crying in his mascara, but who cares?

Matthew Keith vs. The Unknown Patriot vs. Brendan Idol

I guess the Patriot should make his way to the champion that he viciously attacked and what better way to earn a shot at the belt than to beat two of the best in the company in the same match?
