<span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">Hey X-WA Fans and Welcome to my Blog, "The King of Shock" Ernie Turner...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Can you feel the electricity pumping through the veins of the X-WA? It can only mean one thing... We're growing closer and closer to an eventual PPV Event. However, this isn't any normal PPV Event... In a matter of 5 days, We will be LIVE via PPV in New York City to bring you </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="color:#FF0000;">"Reckless Ascent".</span></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

The PPV itself is chalked full of some of the best, and most underrated, superstars in all of Pro Wrestling... But you know that... You expect that from the X-WA. You're not going to be subjected to, yet another, Runaway Train vs. Jack Bruce "bore-a-thon"... No... In the X-WA, Every match carries a sense of desperation... A notion of absolute competition... If you make one grave mistake then it can ultimately stand as your downfall. So, needless to say, if you were to plug any of the SWF's so called "superstars" into our ring... They wouldn't last 5 minutes! I promise you that.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Typically, This blog is here to deliver some background knowledge as it pertains to the company that I work for, however, today we have a major X-WA eXclusive!</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

</span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>I have just received word from Nemesis himself that I have been given the opportunity to announce the opening match of this Saturday's PPV Event, "Reckless Ascent". The match will stand as such:</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

</span></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">Ultimate Phoenix vs. Teddy Powell vs. Snap Dragon vs. Enygma Extreme vs. Silver Shark vs. ?!?! A Debuting Superstar ?!?!</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

While a Six-Way match-up of this caliber would typically be enough, This is certainly not the case! I'm also here to announce that this match-up will carry the weight of much more than just a pinfall... </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>As the winner will be given the authority to book themselves into ANY match against ANY superstar in the X-WA on the following "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg" telecast.</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> That's right, The winner can face off against a Champion for their title... Take on an old rival to settle their score... and/or take on the likes of the X-WA "Elite" in a chance to push themselves to the top of the company!! All it takes is a victory in this match set for "Reckless Ascent".</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Ohh yea, and I almost forgot... </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>The Six-Way Affair will be none-other than a good ol'e fashion.. X-WA Ladder Match!</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> A contract will be hung above the ring for the victor to release and the only way you can win is by setting said contract free. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Now, for those of you who aren't aware of the X-WA's ladder match practice, </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>There are 4 ladders set up around the ringside area and are available for usage during the match. You can NOT win until you've released the item in question (in this case a Contract), however, you CAN be eliminated through out the match by pinfall or submission! </strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">So, in a sense, This Six-Way match-up could end up being a 1 on 1 affair if both men are able to eliminate the other 4 members. So needless to say, It adds a little more chaos to the match as you may end up being knocked out of the match before you even have a chance to climb a ladder!</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

5 Days.... Only 5 days until the U.S. wrestling landscape changes forever!</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

</span><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/rumors.jpg</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

+ Who will Steve Flash select as his two remaining Trio partners for "Reckless Ascent" when he faces off against "The Next-Gen-Trio"? The rumors that are floating around mention that a TCW superstar may be on his way down to the X-WA to support his long-time friend in the match. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

+ Is American Elemental on the verge of a X-WA Arena Championship match in 5 days @ "Reckless Ascent"? Rumor is that Nemesis is very high on the high flying youngster and believes that his match with Stric Lee Bizness this week on "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg" will ultimately tell the story of whether or not he is "ready" for such a spotlight.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

+ Is "The Circus" starting to rift apart? There are rumors circulating that, due to Kill Switch's recent success, the "Circus" may be having some internal fighting going on. It's been noted that Whippy the Clown is typically an extremely violatile person with a short fuse... Needless to say, Such an event (Kill Switch's recent success) could be the culprit behind this rumor.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

+ Is a former SWF Champion on his way to the X-WA? An undercard superstar for the global juggernaut is on the verge of potentially walking out on the company following a breach of contract. It's been noted that their interest in going back to the company is quite low and that they may be looking at the X-WA as a new home! Only time will tell...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

While I expect the Acid vs. Ultimate Phoenix match-up to carry the show, The match to watch for has to be... </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>American Elemental vs. Stric Lee Bizness in a non-title match-up. </strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> The reason I say this is because AE is currently the sole-survivor of his former Trio w/ both Hell Monkey and Enygma Extreme... He's shown that he can outlast his competitors and has even gone so far as to pick up a nice winning streak since leaving the embattled Trio. His high impact style of wrestling can be a curse, in the end, if he under or over-shoots his opponent in the middle of an aerial assaut... However, it also poses as a unique fighting style that sets him apart from everyone else on the roster. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

In the meantime, Stric Lee Bizness is coming off of argueably one of the biggest wins of his career... Defeating the spiraling superstar, Vicente Marquez, last week on "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg". The "ice cold assasin" has shown a true knack for physically dismantling his opponents... Ultimately creating a real fear amongst most challengers that they could not only lose the match but potentially their careers in the process. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

All in all, Look for their match-up to potentially rival the Main Event as the Best Match of the Night!</span></p>

<p>Just to let you know Eisen, this diary is still impressing me to the utmost. The presentation, the storylines, the write-ups, everything is very good and, if you can keep it going then could attain, at the risk of sounding blasphemous, as good as a Monkeypox or even J Silver effort <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Also, I must say that although normally I'd be annoyed by this fact, that your world champion seems to be a lurker, not normally the focus of the show or even that obvious all the time. It just seems to suit his character as this merciless, silent assassin and is actually something I really dig.</p><p> </p><p>

Keep up all the good work my friend!</p>

That's awesome that you think of this Diary that highly as those names (both Monkeypox and JSilver) are known for putting together some of the best diaries this forum has ever seen. Even if there are others who don't see this Diary as such... Just to be even mentioned in that breath does mean a lot to me. Honestly. </p><p> </p><p> It's been a focus of mine since I started writing this diary to project solid storylines with one or two of them being "larger than life" if possible. When I sit down to book/write-up a show, My focus is to create as good of a product as possible... As if I was truly the headbooker of the X-WA. So, It gets my wrestling fix as well as my creative fix intertwined. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Shmoe" data-cite="Shmoe" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="21914" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Also, I must say that although normally I'd be annoyed by this fact, that your world champion seems to be a lurker, not normally the focus of the show or even that obvious all the time. I knew what I wanted out of him, however, it wasn't until as of late where he really started to make "sense" to me as a character. In my eyes, He's more of an animalistic fighter, a modern day gladiator of sorts with a demonic sense of style. No words spoken... More about the images that are sent when he's seen on Screen. </p><p> </p><p> Plus, I've been forced to keep him out of active duty mostly because of his other contracts weighting down on his health. If I lose him, I'd lose a big big part of the X-WA. </p><p> </p><p> Starting with the next episode of "Blitzkrieg" (and on into the PPV), He'll be faced with a whole new scenario that's new to his character so it should make for a really interesting write-up.</p><p> </p><p> All in all, Just wanted to say thank you for your post! What you wrote really kicked my motivation into gear (not that I was really waning badly but was in need of some sense of a "hey, I'm reading" kind of post.) </p><p> </p><p> Cheers.</p>

Joss Thompson vs. Mathew Flash

Next-Gen get a last win before the PPV.

Silver Shark vs. Teddy Powell

I just like the shark and Teddy has been kinda meh lately.

"The Circus" vs. Fumihiro Ota, Steve Flash, and Mikkel Drago

One the one hand Drago is pefrect for taking the lss while Ota and Flash dominate but Ota is on a run for the title and the rest of The Circus haven't done much lately other that killswitch so I'll give it to Ota, Flash and Drago's first win.

American Elemental vs. Stric Lee Bizness

Elemental proves he can beat SLB before facing him for a title.

Acid vs. Ultimate Phoenix

Acid remains undefeated.

In a fitting chain of events, Mathew would have to make his debut against one of the very men who originally put his Father into the Hospital following the X-WA PPV "Shockwaves", as well as one of the very men that he'd been feuding with ever since his Father's attack. So, needless to say, Mathew came into the match with a great deal of aggression burried deep within. This was shown early on as Mathew brushed off his pre-match nerves and began to wail away on the unexpecting "Next-Gen-Trio" member. Actually, in the very early part of this match... Mathew was seen as being firmly in control of the situation (which would shock a lot of people... Joss being one of them). However, his string of "Beginner's Luck" would quickly fade as his "greeness" would come back to bite him... Joss Thompson, obviously much more of a seasoned-vet versus the young Flash, began to capitalize on Mathew's overly aggressive mentality... As Mathew's approach was prone to making stupid mistakes. In the end, Joss Thompson would take full control of the match and practically beat the living hell out of Mathew in quick fashion... As the match went on it looked as if Mathew was trying to forge a comeback despite being thrown around like a "rag doll". After a desperation reversal, however, Mathew found himself on the verge of exicuting a "Flash Bang" of his own... Only for Francios Cartier & Jacob Jett to cause enough distraction for Joss to slip in and exicute a diving elbow strike to the jaw of the distracted, Flash. Joss would follow the strike up with a brainbuster/fisherman suplex combo... Picking up the three count in dramatic fashion.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Winner: Joss Thompson over Mathew Flash in 5:32 via pinfall.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Grade: D-</span></p></div></blockquote><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Angle:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> "I beg of you..."</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Grade:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> D-</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Following Joss Thompson's win over Mathew Flash, The rest of the imfamous </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">"Next-Gen-Trio"</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> was seen piling into the ring... hovering over the seemingly unconcious </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Mathew Flash</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> who lay in the corner of the ring on his side. Actually pleaing with their opponent at "Reckless Ascent", Steve Flash, to add his "ultra-green" Son, Mathew Flash, to his PPV Trio... Citing that "The Next-Gen-Trio" would LOVE to "kill two birds with one stone" (In a sense, wanting to do away with both Flash Family members in one very match)... Even going as far as to say that they are growing tired of their heated rivalry with the Indy Wrestling Legend as they have "bigger and better things to tend to". The previous statement instantly sends the X-WA crowd into a fury... Inspiring the 3,000+ audience to join together with a chant of "Steve Flash owns you" over and over again. As you can guess, This sent "The Next-Gen-Trio" over the edge even more so as you could hear all three members threatening fan members while off of the mic... Adding to their douchebag personas. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Meanwhile, Mathew Flash has fought his battle with conciousness and optimistically won. Silver Shark, a "dark horse" favorite by many, has seen quite a drop off since challening for the X Championship a few PPV's ago, "Shockwaves". His descent into the "Midcard Abyss" has transpired in a rather quiet manor as it seems that the X-WA has always considered him to be a "card filling" babyface. On the other hand, Teddy Powell is a true underdog if there ever was one, however, not receiving the kind of "love" that Shark seems to warrant. Most people write off Teddy Powell as just a tag-team wrestler and nothing more than a "door mat" as a singles superstar. So, when these two were set to square off on tonight's episode of "Blitzkrieg"... No one really knew who would eventually walk away as the victor. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> The match itself could be considered a "how to sell a move" training session for any aspiring up-and-coming wrestler.. As both men are heavily skilled in the art of making their opponent look good. With every move (whether it was a simple collar-elbow tie up or a devestating powerbomb), Both men dug down deep and sold the hell out of it... To the point where their downfalls looked eerily realistic. An example of this was when Silver Shark was fortunate enough to land a semi-botched top rope leaping hurricanrana onto a woozy Teddy Powell... As the move was exicuted, Powell was seen flinging himself half-way across the ring and inches from falling completey out of the ring. An excellent sight if you're a fan of realistic looking impacts.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> In the end, however, Teddy Powell would continue on his streak of "cheating to win" as the classified "Tweener" used Silver Shark's mask to his advantage... Pulling Shark to the mat as he tried to hit the ropes and then ultimately using the closest set of ring ropes as leverage... Picking up, what felt like an impromptu, pinfall. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Winner: Teddy Powell over Silver Shark in 9:51 via pinfall. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Grade: D</span></p></div></blockquote><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Angle:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> The Trio takes shape...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Grade:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> D-</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Following a short commercial break hyping the X-WA's upcoming PPV event, "Reckless Ascent", we would instantly set the scene in the locker room area. Steve, who has been a firm advocate against his Son joining the X-WA, would simply brush off his Son's advance without even a word being spoken.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Mathew, becoming increasingly worked up over his Father's inability to respond, pulls his Father aside and, once again, questions his lack of a save during his first match in the X-WA... Noting that he had saved his Father on a few occassions before. Steve, now feeling that he has to respond to his Son, looks Mathew square in the eye and reminds him that it was HIS choice to become a Pro Wrestler... not his.... And that if he wants to work in this industry.. He'll have to PROVE himself without any real help from his Father. Mathew, realizing what his Father has just said, continues to seem agitated... however... his temper is starting to wane. His Father, once again, reminds him that if he wants to compete in a wrestling ring as he did tonight... He'll have to fight some of his own battles and not rely on everyone else to fix his problems... Also, stating that he NEVER asked for Mathew to "help him" while being attacked by "The Next-Gen-Trio" before... In most cases, He would have RATHER kept Mathew away from the action as it was Steve's Fight... Not his. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Mathew looks to be soaking up his father's advice in a respectful manor now as he slowly shakes his head in a "yes" kind of motion and lets out a relaxing sigh... A sigh that obviously shows that he understands his Father's decree. However, the warm and fuzzy moment wouldn't last very long (as it never does between these two) as Mathew instantly jumps to the notion that his Father should name HIM as one of the members of his Trio set to face "The Next-Gen-Trio" at "Reckless Ascent"... Citing that, while the Trio has their own motives in asking for Mathew to be named as a member, that he is the best choice for his Father as he can ultimately trust him... Something that Steve can't do with many people on the X-WA roster. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> After a few seconds of silent thought, Steve pats his Son on his back in a gesture never seen in the X-WA by the grizzeld Father. Following his show of love for his Son, Steve allows his Son to be in his corner as another member of his Trio to face off against the "Next-Gen-Trio"... However, Steve was heard demanding that his Son get his "head in the game" for this fight as it's going to be exactly that... A fight... not a wrestling match. Mathew, nodding with approval, asks his Father who the Third member may be as a gleam of ultimate respect shows in his eyes... </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> To this question, Steve was heard proclaiming that he's been in touch with an "Old Friend" who is planning on being in his corner at the PPV... Not going as far as to name this secret Trio member, however, giving a hint that this worker does not currently work for the X-WA. With that, the scene would come to a close as both Flash Family members are seen embracing eachother in an awkward hug... Awkward because you can see that Steve isn't the "emotional" type... And a hug, even from his son, seems awkward to him... A break from being a strong male figure.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Angle:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Forced into a Soul-Wrenching Admission...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Grade:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> D+</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> In a seamless transition, however a chaotic leap, we now receive a live view of </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Vicente Marquez</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">... bound, bloodied, bruised, and certainly in a great deal of pain. The image is brought to us by a hand-held video camera, probably one bought at a nearby discount store as the quality is quite low and often shaky, as we see Vicente struggling to catch his breath... Almost as if he is forcing himself to disregard the extreme level of pain he is currently suffering through... Instead, focusing heavily on remaining concious... as that's the only real option he if he ever wishes to free he, and the love of his life (Jennifer Heat), from the hell that has been bestowed upon them. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Marquez, making eye contact with someone off camera, struggles to speak as we hear his abductor, The raging psychopath, </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Jack Griffith</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> piercing through the silence with an aggressive statement... Telling Marquez to "read the card". Vicente, barely able to lift his head up at this point as blood trails out of his mouth, spits in the direction of Griffith's voice as if to say "F*ck you". This sends Griffith in a fit of eery laughter as he quickly rebuttles with a sly remark followed by, once again, aggressive statement... Informing Marquez that he MUST do what he tells him to if he EVER wants to see Jennifer again. Following this remark, You can see a sense of desperation in the eyes of Vicente Marquez as he flings his head back with all of his force... Looking up at the ceiling as we can now see that his shirt is covered in blood as well. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Slowly dropping his head back downward, Marquez makes eye contact with the camera... Even going as far as to say that he NOW understands Jack Griffith's pain. His voice sounds weak at best as he continues to relay Griffith's forced speech... Going on to say that HE, Vicente Marquez, chose his "addiction" (his lover for Jennifer) over his own success much like Jack Griffith had once done in the early part of his career. In a sense, Marquez continues to call himself a "broken addict" as he cries out for the love of his life. Jack Griffith, laughing at Marquez's break from the moment, threatens Vicente to keep going... This sends Vicente into another forced rant... Telling the X-WA that his "days are numbered" as it's only a matter of time before his "Downward spiral continues to descend to the point where he is an absoulte trainwreck." All in all, The speech, Written by Jack Griffith, paints the picture that Vicente Marquez (while he may not believe it... he is reciting it to appease Griffith's sense of self) is no better than the Psychopath himself, Jack Griffith. Ultimately proclaiming that his life is on a "dangerous road toward self destruction." </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> After the manipulative speech comes to a close, Vicente responds with a "There... I said it... now tell me where Jennifer is." This, once again, sends Griffith into a unstable display of emotionless laughter... From there Griffith informs Marquez that he lied about letting him see Jennifer... Instead, he has a plan set for "Reckless Ascent". As Marquez fights to stay concious, Jack Griffith tells Vicente that Jennifer is hidden somewhere here, in the abandoned Thompson Psychiatric Clinic, and that Marquez can finally re-unite himself with his beloved... However, he'll have to do so within the confines of a match against him at this weekend's PPV. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Unlike any standard wrestling match, This match would pose the two in an all-out fight within the abandoned building... The winner is not decided on who is able to pin or submit the other but rather WHO can find Jennifer first. The obvious advantage in the corner of Griffith as he KNOWS where he restrained Jennifer Heat within this very building. While working through another stint of laughter, Griffith ends this exchange (well, atleast what is seen on TV) by telling him that IF Vicente can find Jennifer first then he has his word that they can walk away FREE at last... However, if Jack wins, then Jack will take Jennifer as his never-ending BRIDE. This drives the semi-concious Marquez into a fit of rage as he struggles to try to break from the ropes binding him to the chair ahead... However, is unsuccessful... After he lets out a loud coughing fit... Marquez finally agrees to the terms... Ending his response with an aggressive statement... Vowing that he will send Griffith "back to hell" on Saturday... back to the place in-which he came from!</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="21914" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/FrankiePerez_alt1.jpg</span><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/SnapDragon_alt1.jpg</span><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/WhippyTheClown.jpg</span><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/vs.jpg</span><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/FumihiroOta_alt.jpg</span><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/SteveFlash_FIN10.jpg</span><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/MikeyJames.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>"The Circus" vs. Fumihiro Ota, Steve Flash, and Mikkel Drago</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><em>[3 vs. 3 - Trio Match]</em></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><em>[Non-Title Match]</em></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> On paper this match-up looked like a powderkeg waiting to massively explode as all 6 of these men have a storied history with one another. It was obvious to see that emotions were running wild for everyone involved as a few were focused primarily on revenge in this match-up. For one, Mikkel Drago was practically seething from the mouth... Hoping to get his hands on the man who not only beat him a few weeks ago in a hottly contested match-up but also added "insult to injury" after Kill Switch viciously attacked him prior to the end of the match. This would mark the first time that Mikkel was given the opportunity to obtain revenge for the assault and did he ever... The most shocking thing about this match was that Mikkel Drago looked to be the most dominant figure in his Trio. Whether it was based upon true skill or the fact that he was a hell-bent superstar looking for a little payback... All in all, The disciplined Martial Artist found himself on his "A Game" tonight.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Despite being on his "A Game", however, "The Circus" was still coming out strong through out most of the match as Kill Switch led the way for his demonic Trio. Distracting his opponents, cheating to help his partner, or sneaking in a quick strike as the referee's back was turned... All in all, Kill Switch certainly showed how dominant he can really be when he's given the opportunity to do so. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> In the end, however, it would come down to Steve Flash and Snap Dragon square in the middle of the ring... However, Steve Flash was seemingly faking his exhaustion, as he catches Dragon in the mid-air... Instead, landing a fluid, and down right "out of nowhere", "Flash Bang" square in the center of the ring. The rest of "The Circus" would try to break the count but it would pose to be too late as both Drago & Ota are seen keeping them at bay with fists of fury. When it's all said and done.. With that being said, neither man looked to be primarily in control of the match through its entirety. Instead, both SLB and AE would continue to push eachother to the point of breaking on several occasions. While both men were seen as equals through out the match, Their in-ring approaches were complete opposites of one another. AE, more of a high impact daredevil with obvious suicidal intentions, used an array of aerial high spots to practically mow over his opponent in the process. Ultimately, however, his flashy high octaine style of wrestling would eventually come back to haunt him as Stric Lee Bizness began to capitalize following a few blown spots by AE. The tides would turn in SLB's favor after these high risk mistakes were displayed as the Arena Champion began to slow the pace of the match down to a turtle-like flow.... To many, This would be considered a "dream match"... A singles contest that X-WA fans have been asking for since day one... As both men are considered to be two brightspots on the indy scene today. That's where their similarities end, however, as both men really come into this match on opposite sides of the spectrum. Acid is seen as the most dominant force in the X-WA and has shown that by retaining the "crown jewel" of the company, the X Championship, since being declared it's historic first holder. Also, he's considered to be a vile, animalistic fighter who preys on his opponents like a rabid wolf on the prowl. On the other hand, Ultimate Phoenix is as close to a Super-Babyface as they can come... A true underground favorite, the indy veteran has seen some up's and down's since joining the company in early February 2008. These whispers seemingly have made their way to Phoenix as he spent most of the beginning of the match setting the tone of their affair. It seemed as if both men were able to land move after move in a matter of a few seconds... Going back and forth... Executing near falls left and right... Finally ending their never-ending chain of events with a plowing standing right kick from Acid... Landing square across the neck of Phoenix. This single strike would instantly change the course of their match-up as Acid was able to take command of the match-up for quite some time following his impactful strike. In a truly unique X-WA moment,</span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"> Acid</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> has become the hunted as all three members of the demonic Trio are seen on the verge of climbing into the ring... As if they were stalking their prey.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Kill Switch</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> is the first man to enter into the ring as he and Acid instantly begin to brawl around the ring with a feverish tone. The rest of "The Circus" members (Whippy the Clown and Snap Dragon) quickly ascend into the ring now... With all three men, at first, unable to slow down the explosive X Champion. While Acid continues to look extremely strong... This scenario would come to a crashing hault as Kill Switch is able to land and upper hand with a lightning quick superkick to the jaw of the dominating Champion. As Acid hits the mat, All three men begin their vicious assault... Actually, for the first time, taking it too Acid... The crowd, in absolute shock as to what is going on (as theoretically all 4 men are considered "heels"), actually begins to cheer on Acid! A very, very, very weird moment in the X-WA as Acid has always been seen as a vile superstar... One that, while he had an undercurrent of fans in the X-WA crowd, was almost always boo'ed upon.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> In an even more shocking situation... </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Fumihiro Ota</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> is seen, at this point, rushing out to the ringside area... Bolting into the ring and catching "The Circus" off guard with a historic assault. Ota, while battling all three members at different points, is actually able to get all three members of "The Circus" out of the ring... Showing a real sense of power and strategy! However, his impactful attack on the demonic Trio isn't really what is shocking here.... It seems as if Fumihiro Ota, once a rival to Acid, actually came out to his aid! The crowd, completely lost as to what is going on right now, watches on in absolute confusion as Ota stairs down all three men and challenges them all to come back into the ring.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Acid, slowly staggering back to his feet now, is approached by Ota as the two men stand back to back... Stairing down the members of "The Circus" in the process... Actually acting as a cohesive team! No one knows whether Ota made the save because he wants Acid at his "best" at the PPV or whether or not he's actually obtained a sense of respect for the man.... However, needless to say... The two men were now standing back to back as a tandem on the verge of another fight.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> However, once again, just as it seems like the show is about to end... Acid shocks the X-WA crowd, then again also not all that shocking, by flooring the very man who came in and saved him from his gang beating by "The Circus". Acid, spinning around and facing Ota face to back, lands a right hook to the side of Ota's head... Finally landing a major reverse DDT in the middle of the ring... Sending the crowd into an even greater amount of confusion. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> The show finally comes to a close as Acid stands over Fumihiro Ota, once again roaring with his arms out at his side.... Meanwhile, "The Circus" still stands sorrounding the ring.... Waiting to strike... Yet again....</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Overall Show Grade:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> C+</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>X-WA Arena Attendance:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> 3,687</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>"Blitzkrieg" TV Rating:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> 0.41 (+ 0.04)</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Prediction Winner(s):</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> CZCW (5 out of 5)!!!!</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="21914" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong><span style="color:#0000FF;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Show Thoughts</span></span></strong><strong><span style="color:#0000FF;">:</span></strong><p> </p><p> * The Main Event is exactly why Acid is the X Champion. He puts on great matches with absolutely everyone! Hell, he even made a match with Silver Shark at "Shockwaves" look good grade wise. ha.</p><p> * AE vs. SLB turned out to be around where I was expecting grade-wise. If Marquez and SLB could pull of a "B" grade wise then I was positive that AE (A little less over than Marquez before this match) would probably score around an upper "C" or lower "B". So far, I'm loving the fact that Stric Lee is the Arena Champion as he tends to put on better matches (again, grade wise) than Phoenix did previously.</p><p> * Overall, I think this show set up the upcoming PPV really well. If it's not easy to see what matches will be taking place... I'll be posting the PPV card within the next few days!</p><p> </p><p> Hope you enjoyed the show!</p></div></blockquote>

Plus, the main event brought a whole new vision to the main event at "Reckless Ascent" as the lines begin to blurr (the X-WA has a "medium" level set for Face/Heel Divide... So you can get some "tweeners" thrown in the mix, as well as Heels being able to face off against eachother without terrible outcomes).</p><p> </p><p> Cheers.</p>

<p>Hey Eisen-Verse</p><p> </p><p>

This is going great. I haven't been predicting much as I have been awful busy, but I read in bunches so I don't lose anything. The next PPV looks to be great. I will most certainly predict that one. How is the rest of the wrestling world progressing in your game. Not that it matters, just kinda curious how it looks.</p><p> </p><p>

That way I know that people are checking out the diary and interested enough to say "hey". Looking forward to your prediction though on the PPV!! The card should be up either today or tomorrow!</p><p> </p><p> As for the Cornellverse in my game, thus far, there really hasn't been any sort of changes what so ever yet. The SWF and TCW are putting on decent shows (C+ to B-) shows and may be growing closer to jumping in size (then again, I haven't seen any signs yet that it will certianly happen). if that does come to pass, I'm guessing I'll lose some of my bigger stars which will suck.. but will also pose a chance to build new stars. </p><p> </p><p> Shockingly enough, every promotion has the SAME champions that they started out with... With the only exception being the USPW which recently crowned Jim Force as their new TV Champion. </p><p> </p><p> So, sadly enough, I haven't seen much changes in my game-world just yet. Sooner or later something has to happen though!</p>

<p>Yay! PPV Time! Now onto the predictions.</p><p> </p><p>

Ultimate Phoenix vs. Teddy Powell vs. Snap Dragon vs. Enygma Extreme vs. Silver Shark vs. <strong>?!?! A Debuting Superstar ?!?!</strong></p><p>

<em>I'm guessing this is the debuting superstar who has been leaving messages in your posts so I'm guessing his debut will be a big one (especially if they are over in popularity)</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Steve Flash, Mathew Flash, ????????</strong> vs. "The Next-Gen-Trio"</p><p>

<em>I know the next gen trio may need the win since they've never beaten steve flash but i still don't see it happening as flash is your big gun and he has a secret partner who could be someone big.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jack Griffith</strong> vs. Vicente Marquez</p><p>

<em>Griffith takes his bride after beating Marquez.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Stric Lee Bizness ©</strong> vs. American Elemental</p><p>

<em>Can't imagine he would lose the title so quickly even if american elemental is a talented guy.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Nemesis vs. <strong>William Kingsbury III</strong></p><p>

<em>Kingsbury wins and gets his title shot but it could depend on if Nemesis has creative control or not.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Acid ©</strong> vs. Fumihiro Ota vs. Kill Switch w/ "The Circus" </p><p>

<em>The champ still retains</em></p>

One man is a current Champion (Dragon), One man is a former Champion (Phoenix), another is a former X Championship contender (Shark), and the two others have had their opportunities to obtain championships (Powell & Extreme), however, both of them came up short in the end. Needless to say, All 5 of these men are hungry to "turn the ship around" and ultimately put themselves back in a position of success. Now, when you factor in the dynamic of a debuting superstar into this match-up... All previous understanding flies square out the window. Whoever it may be... They could make an impact of a lifetime... Debuting in the X-WA with a historic victory... As the winner is given the absolute authority to compete against ANYONE on the X-WA roster during the following "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg" telecast! With that being said, This match could TRULY become a "rags to riches" scenario as the winner could potentially walk away with an X Championship title shot a few short days after "Reckless Ascent".</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Steve Flash, Mathew Flash, ???????? vs. "The Next-Gen-Trio"</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><em>... There is absolutley no love-loss between these 5 men as the youngster Trio had almost finished the illustrious career of the Indy Wrestling Legend, Steve Flash, and to a lesser extent... His Son... A few weeks following the original assault. Steve Flash spent a whole month in the hospital with fears that he may never walk again... It was this state of internal aggression that would create a wave of violence within "The King of New York" as YOU KNOW he was waiting for the day that he could extract revenge upon the very Trio who put him in that position. While we know both sides motivation in this match-up... There is one lingering question hovering over the event.... Who will accompany the Flash Family to the ring and ultimately compete as their third Trio member? Internet Rumors have circulated as of late and it seems that there are many big names being thrown around. The only thing we know as of right now is this small clue... Supposedly, Their third Trio member is a "long time" friend of Steve's that, at one time, had extensive training working with Mr. Flash. Was it as a competitor or a tag-team partner? Bringing on an impromptu backstage brawl that would end in a victory for the vengeful Griffith. As the weeks went on, We would discover WHY Griffith had levied the assault as Vicente was obviously more of a obsession to Jack Griffith. Griffith, a man who had seen years of heavy substance abuse, had a destructive past that would ultimately lead to the bout of psychosis that he deals with today. Struggling to cope with his inability to "make a comeback" (following his first match in the X-WA... A loss that would drive him to have a mental breakdown in the ring following the result)... Griffith, instead, found it easier to drag another superstar down to his level... Showing himself, the fans, and the wrestling public at large that this VERY story could happen to anyone. After he was unable to successfully defeat Marquez at "eXcessive Force" in a No-DQ Match.... Griffith took it upon his own hands to continue their one-sided war... and turning it into a tale of abduction & personal anguish. Griffith abducted Marquez's real-life girlfriend, Jennifer Heat, and forced Marquez to "seek them out" by leaving a conveluded riddle to do the trick. Ultimately forcing Vicente to choose between his "addiction" (his love for Jennifer) or his overall success (the X Title Match that Nemesis had offered him)... Inwhich the "love sick" youngster would certainly chose his "Addiction" over success. Now, with Marquez broken... bloodied... and emotionally destroyed, following another sneak attack by Griffith in the abandoned Psych ward where they both reside, it seems that Griffith has finally given his arch-nemesis the ability to regain the love of his life.... However, first he must find a way to locate his beloved girlfriend somewhere within the condemed Psych Ward that entraps them both. If he is able to locate Jennifer... Then she goes free.... If he does not... Then Jack has vowed to make Jennifer his "bride"... Forcing her into a life of absolute carnage. Will the heroic boyfriend find a way to save the love of his life? Will he be able to defy the odds and overcome the vicious wrath of the psychotic Jack Griffith? Or will Vicente Marquez's "downward spiral" continue to circle the drain as Jack Griffith abuses his knoweldge of where Jennifer is to ultimately win their match-up.. taking her as his forced bride? </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Stric Lee Bizness © vs. American Elemental</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><em>... This is the major question coming into their PPV bout this upcoming Saturday. While these two don't have that long of a history forged... It's obvious to see that both of these men are on a fast-track to a historic match. Their only meeting before their match-up at "Reckless Ascent" came this last week on "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg" in a non-title affair. While Stric Lee Bizness continued to show exactly WHY he's considered to be one of the most lethal threats in the X-WA today... Somehow... AE was able to match his intensity through out... So much so that it drove SLB into a feverish state where he would eventually "snap"... Not releasing a twisted right leg lock following a rope break by AE. The referee tried to break the hold, however, was forced to call the match in favor of AE due to a DQ. This would send SLB over the edge that much more, maybe realizing that AE may pose as a bigger threat to his title than originally thought, as the X-WA Arena Champion would continue his assault on the seemingly injured leg just after he finally released the hold. With a reportedly injured leg... can American Elemental find a way to defy the odds? Can he push through the match-up on pure adrenaline and obtain the Championship he wants so dear? Only time will tell... </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Nemesis vs. William Kingsbury III</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><em>... That they didn't really believe in your ability? This is EXACTLY what William Kingsbury III has been whinning about since joining the X-WA early on in February of 2008. The trust-fund baby, loaded up on Daddy's money, has spent more time throwing tantrums than actually "proving himself" during this time period. That would push an annoyed Nemesis to throw Kingsbury into a "From the Bottom - Up" Challenge forth... Trying to force Kingsbury to PROVE himself in the X-WA before he could ever receive the X Championship match he'd been focused upon. All seemed to be going just well as Kingsbury wracked up the wins, however, that would all come crashing to a hault as Nemesis informed Kingsbury that "Phase 2" was starting after his victory at last month's PPV... "eXcessive Force". In a signature hissy-fit, Kingsbury would eventually walk out on the X-WA and seemingly quit the entire wrestling industry in the process. This threw the X-WA, even Nemesis, for a loop as no one expected the youngster to crack under the pressure the way he did... However, it wasn't truly shocking since Kingsbury's never been one to really want to do any sort of "work". The story could have ended there, however, Kingsbury's Father (the man with the Money) was seen coming into "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg" just shortly ago... Announcing that his son was coming back to the X-WA (His Father, a man who built an empire with hard work, was sick of his Son wasting his money.. his time... and ruining the Kingsbury name). From there, Nemesis would give William the chance to FINALLY prove himself.... Declaring a match between he and the dramatic youngster. If Kingsbury wins... He gets that X Championship match he's been crying for since day one... However, if Nemesis wins... The cry-baby youngster, currently on TV Strike and proclaiming that he will only wrestle on PPV events due to the fact that he believes that the fans should have to pay to see him compete, will be forced off of his TV Strike and back onto the weekly "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg" telecast. All in all, Can the youngster, without his personal bodyguard who typically does everything for him while competing, stand up to the Wrestling Legend? Will the X-WA Owner find a way to remove the "ring rust" and defeat the companies up and coming superstar? </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Acid © vs. Fumihiro Ota vs. Kill Switch w/ "The Circus"</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><em>... You get the Main Event for "Reckless Ascent". Acid, the X-WA X Champion, has been completely unstoppable since winning the "crown jewel" of the X-WA in February of 2008... Since then he's gone on to mark a 3 month title reign that has been documented as one of the most one-sided streaks of all-time. He's currently undefeated in singles competition and shows no signs of slowing down. He's even gone so far as to outlast some of the best and brightest in the X-WA thus far defeating: Fumihiro Ota, Vicente Marquez, Ultimate Phoenix, William Kingsbury III, Silver Shark, and Steve Flash since winning the X Championship. Who else can say that? </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> On the other hand, there's Fumihiro Ota... While he's come away with 2 losses prior to Acid... Can the grizzled veteran find a way to justify his championship obsession? The big story hovering over his head right now is the fact that if he is unsuccessul for a 3rd time... He will never receive another X Championship shot until AFTER Acid has lost the title. So, needless to say, the high flying cruiserweight needs this win unlike ever before. Can the former TCW Stand-out find a way to cement his place in the X-WA by winning the "crown jewel" of the X-WA? More importantly, Can the hell-bent cruiserweight find a way to somehow change his fortune and defeat the very man he's lost to twice before? It's possible... but will it happen?</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Finally, there's the demonic "Circus" member... Kill Switch... A relative unknown to the greater wrestling public, Switch has silently become the unspoken leader of the most successful Trio in X-WA History. Currently a Champion himself, 1/3 of the X-WA Six Man Champions, can Kill Switch find a way to shock the world and come away with the title win as the ultimate "Dark Horse" contender? While he may have the ability, and the backing, to do so... Many question whether or not he's mentally tough enough to make the transition from successful Trio member... To glorified singles competitor.</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="21914" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong>*** "Reckless Ascent" Quick Picks ***</strong><p> </p><p> Ultimate Phoenix vs. Teddy Powell vs. Snap Dragon vs. Enygma Extreme vs. Silver Shark vs. ?!?! Plus, this way you can get Tavaris some more training before you give him another shot at the starting QB job. Seems like a decent move in their part.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks for the predictions!! Following the crash of the Tri-State cult juggernaut, DaVE, there was a lot of uncertainty hanging over the U.S. wrestling industry. Could an adult-based wrestling product truly survive in a day and age where a company like the USPW was surging up the ranks? Their obvious rise within the industry could be labeled as a "speeding locomotive gaining speed with every new youngster who ventured upon Pro Wrestling". It looked as if Pro Wrestling, as a whole, was transitioning to more of a mainstream, kid-friendly, P-G rated event... Something that the entire family could sit down and enjoy as an "after-school special" of some sorts.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Many of the DaVE's former employees would find jobs all over the world with other previous competitors (ie: SWF, TCW, WLW, USPW, etc.), however, the companies biggest superstar, and in some cases the most influential voice backstage, would shock the "world" as he stepped away from the industry all together. No one knew whether or not the controversial figure would find his way back on wrestling TV at anypoint, however, many hoped that he would one day restore a much needed sense of "grit" to the U.S. Pro Wrestling Scene.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Then it happened, The day... December 3rd 2007.... Nemesis declared his hiatus to be something of the past as he delivered a bombshell... The formation of the X-WA. A company built upon the same ideals that DaVE once perpetuated, however, doing it in a unique manor (A cult-based Modern Company)... Also, attempting to remove themselves from the same pitfalls that his previous employer had fallen into. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> I had the amazing opportunity to sit down with our boss, Nemesis, days before our upcoming PPV extravaganza, "Reckless Ascent". Financially we weren't making the right decisions and ultimately it would prove to be our downfall. After our final show I decided to get entirely out of New York... Actually... Completely out of the United States. I spent the next 6 months living in Mexico City... Living off of my previous wages with DaVE. I couldn't get myself to pay attention to what was happening in the U.S. wrestling scene and was on the verge of officially retiring from the sport... but... A few months later that would all change for me..</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Jonathan Owens:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Change? how so?</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Nemesis:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> A local friend of mine was absolutely persistent with the notion that I should visit some of their local wrestling shows... indulge in the culture of their events. Their passion for the sport, their high-risk abilities, their overall sense of tradition drew me in. I started to think back on the States... Trying to think of a company that carried such a feeling... and couldn't come up with one. It was at that point, at those very shows, where I understood what my next venture in Pro Wrestling would be... A company built upon absolute competition, high-risk/high-reward wrestling, and a product that could "stand above the rest" when it came to a sense of chaotic pride.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Jonathan Owens:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> A question off of that, however, in Mexico most companies are built upon the same "family friendly" mentality that the U.S. is currently wrapped within.... Really the wrestling industry as a whole tends to always come back to this sort of action time and time again... It needed a new underground movement... Not to push the "Big Three" into having to change their styles to stay with the times... but... Rather, to give wrestling fans the ability to change the channel towards a company that would be better suited to their wants/needs. We aren't a broadcast for children.... We here, at the X-WA, are not Role Models... and we will never be. There are certain people on our roster, Steve Flash comes to mind, who you could potentially look up to as a "Role Model"... but even he, here in the X-WA, has been given the opportunity to show an ever darker side to his persona. If you want cookie-cutter, garden-variety, wrestling entertainment... Tune into Eisen's show... Strong's show. Hoping, in time, that DaVE would stand along side the SWF so that I may theoretically spit right back in Eisen's face. However, that day never came.... and over time... I lost that sense of hatred. Amongst many names, I've been labeled as "The Fallen Angel of the SWF"... A name that still carries with me to this day... Years after the initial fall-out. So, with that being said, do I want to challenge the SWF? [smirks] Who doesn't? However, we have a long way to go before we could ever say that we on the same level when it came to overall mainstream attention. Without their worldwide TV and PPV Deals... We could take them... But... Those serve as an amazing tool for those up in New England. In time, I think we can get to that place.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Jonathan Owens:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> That brings us to this Saturday, 24 hours from now... More importantly, the X Championship is the true "Crown Jewel" of our company... To be the champion is to be held in honor and true respect for being the BEST in the industry today. Ultimate Phoenix vs. Teddy Powell vs. Snap Dragon vs. Enygma Extreme vs. Silver Shark vs. ?!?! A Debuting Superstar ?!?!

I know there is a debuting start but Phoenix has proven time and again that he can put on good matches with Acid and most of the rest of the roster. Powell still his unresolved issues with SLB, Enygma is gone Snap Dragon is basically a secondary member of "The Circus". Silver Shark is the only other person likely to take this match but he doesn't have the momentum currently.

Steve Flash, Mathew Flash, ???????? vs. "The Next-Gen-Trio"

This is ove I don't think there is much more story to tell, at least not against The Next-Gen-Trio. Matthew Flash wins, proud father forms a really trio with son and friend and a good if dark feud starts against The Circus. Perez vs Papa Flash matcehs FTW.

Jack Griffith vs. Vicente Marquez

I'm not sure this is over Marquez has a lot to voer come and this is not the blow off wmatch.

Stric Lee Bizness © vs. American Elemental

SLB just got the title he won't lose it so soon and Elemental just started this rivalry against the Biz.

Nemesis vs. William Kingsbury III

As owner Nemesis may not do the job but I think he should. It'll put little Willie on the map.

Acid © vs. Fumihiro Ota vs. Kill Switch w/ "The Circus"

Kill Switch made a huge leap into the title scene and even though Perez is probably my second favorite C-Verse worker next to Seve Flash I think he needs to go back and jump a few more hopes, hopefully against Flash. Ota just isn't really a champ in my eyes and Acid will be a solid champ for a while coming.

Thanks to everyone who has left behind predictions thus far! I just wanted to let you know that the show write-up for "Reckless Ascent" is 50% done. I've finished all of the angle write-up's and will be working on the matches either late tonight or potentially tomorrow. So needless to say, the overall show won't be posted until either late tonight or tomorrow night. Either way, Just thought I'd give a timetable for the results.

Cheers.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who voted for my X-WA diary this month in the DOTM Rookie Poll. I truly appreciate it. :D Between FinalCountdown's ROH Diary and Derek B's SWF Diary (Plus the WCW Diary is really good too!), There was a good chance that any one of us three could have won this month. (Especially after looking at the actual numbers.. 17-15-11, That's a close one!) All in all, Thank you for those who have continually supported this Diary! It's been a lot of fun to write... I hope it's been just as fun to read!

"Reckless Ascent" Note:

* I have three matches left to write, so, I'm guessing I could have it all done by late tonight? If not, early Sunday. It's shaping up to be a great show!

General Diary Note:

* Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be trying out some new style of diary posts to see what ends up "sticking". The posts outside of the actual show write-ups typically serve a big purpose as they dive into the story a little deeper in most storylines and can, sometimes, bring forth new key information not known about the feud before.

All in all, I wanted to keep things fresh... So I may be adding some new posts and possibly letting some "go by the wayside" for a little bit until I know what I want to do with them again.

Cheers.

X-WA "Reckless Ascent" - PPV Event

Saturday, 3rd week of May 2008

The Evanovich Riverside Arena (Tri-State)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/Titles%20and%20Logos/RecklessAscentLogo.jpg

Angle: Seven Men.... The War Begins...

Grade: C-

The latest X-WA PPV Event, "Reckless Ascent", would open in dramatic fashion as the demonic Trio, "The Circus", ascends upon the ringside area. The crowd, despite a smattering of cheers through out the arena, was heard ripping into the most successful Trio in X-WA History as the X-WA Six Man Champions pile into the ring with evil intentions set on their mind. Whippy the Clown, a member of "The Circus", carries a torn burlap sack in his right hand... His "Sack of Fun".... A equalizer in any fight as it holds a collection of dangerous weapons (most of them sharp-edged spikes... Equipt to severly injure anyone who steps in his path.) Meanwhile, Kill Switch grabs a mic and begins his explicit rant against the likes of Fumihiro Ota, and even the X-WA X Champion Acid. Going to extreme lengths to inform the viewers EXACTLY what he will do to them tonight... Not focused primarily on winning but rather destroying the others in the process.

This notion would ignite a fire within Fumihiro Ota as he instantly storms onto the scene... Generating a massive response from the anticipatory crowd. Ota, knowing that this fight would end up being a 3 on 1, stands on the outside and orders Kill Switch to "remove his goons". However, Switch doesn't seem to really care.... Instead, sicking both members of "The Circus" on the hell-bent cruiserweight. While outside of the ring, Snap Dragon & Whippy the Clown, are seen attempting to attack the forging Fumihiro Ota... however, at that very moment, Ota quickly pulls out a pair of brass knuckles (something very foreign to a typical response from Ota)... In the process, laying out both Whippy the Clown and Snap Dragon before they can even start their carnage.

With both Dragon & Whippy the Clown struggling to get back to their feet on the outside... Fumihiro Ota would quickly slide into the ring and come into contact with Kill Switch. Throwing his brass knuckles to the side, only using them as an initial equilizer, Ota and Switch are seen brawling around the ring in an aggressive display. Both men look as if they are not able to wait until the Main Event... Wailing away on eachother in the process. A few seonds of this would go bye until the lights shockingly go out..... The only light in the entire arena is coming from the camera flashes by individual fans... located all around the ringside area.

As the lights back up... Ota and Kill Switch are still fighting.... And the X-WA X Champion, Acid, is now seen joining in on the action. All three men are hell-bent on destroying eachother as it look like the Main Event For tonight has already begun!

While Switch, Ota, and Acid continue their epic war within the ropes... X-WA Owner, Nemesis, is also seen coming out of the back... Trying to subdue the situation so that tonight's Main Event can stay in tact (not wanting any sort of injuries from such a fight to hinder the overall show). However, before the controversial owner could find his way into the ring... He's jumped from behind by "The Silver Spoon Superstar", William Kingsbury III. The unsuspecting victim, Nemesis, tries to regain control of the situation now as both he and Kingsbury are seen brawling with eachother... Chaotically destroying the ringside area in the process.

All in all, The show kicks off in epic fashion as all 7 men in our 2 Main Event's tonight are engaged in a pre-match all-out brawl. Blood is spilled, injuries are threatened, and mindsets become obsessed.... This is the X-WA..... This is "Reckless Ascent".....

Angle: I will transcend your doubt...

Grade: C+

A dimly lit hallway is our backdrop as a shadowy figure stands before the camera... A full set of hair dangling inches from he lens as a unfamiliar voice fills the airwaves with a philosophical rant centered towards his arrival in the X-WA. The unknown figure is heard denouncing his Family's imfamous legacy... Vowing to bring a true sense of pride to his name.... Breaking down the barriers that his FATHER once laid for him... All in all, who ever the superstar is, they seem to be carrying a lot of personal baggage as it pertains to the stigma placed upon his Family's name. As the promo comes to a close, The shadowy superstar would lift his head up to the camera... placing it in plain sight. His hair, slowly positioning itself away from his face, is the final "smoke screen" to pass by... As we now know exactly who the NEW debuting superstar is.... It's none other than the son of one of the most imfamous (however, also legendary) figures in Pro Wrestling History, 2nd Generation Superstar....

Ultimate Phoenix vs. Teddy Powell vs. Snap Dragon vs. Enygma Extreme vs. Silver Shark vs. Jay Chord

[X-WA Ladder/Elimination Match]

["Rags to Riches" Match - Winner gets the authority to compete against anyone they wish on the upcoming "Blitzkrieg" episode]

The opening match of tonight's PPV Event would pit five X-WA superstars seemingly down on their luck (most of them working through current losing streaks and botched opportunities) and one debuting superstar with an endless horizon for success. So, needless to say, Jay Chord (the debuting superstar) stuck out like a sore thumb from the very get-go as he stood alone as a unique competitor (in many aspects) within this "career-changing" match-up. The winner, whoever it may be in the end, would ultimately carry a powerful sense of authority for one night... That one night is none other than next week's telecast of "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg"... And the powerful sense of Authority would be the ability to book himself into ANY match that he'd like during said TV event. So it's easy to see why any of these six men would be aggressively seeking out a victory tonight as it could potentially alter their career from here on out. One win tonight... Another win on Thursday... And we could possibly have a new X-WA X Champion.... If tonight's victor felt that a match against Acid would be in their best interest.

The match itself was a heated affair from the very start... as all Six Superstars were determined to change the course of their careers... Knowing that all it would take was siezing control of the blank X-WA contract hovering 15 feet above the ring. With that being said, you would think that everyone would come into this match with their "A Game" held in tact... However, that certainly wasn't the case. Sure, they all had their moments through out the match where they could potentially be seen as a true threat in the match, however, the three superstars who most certainly came away looking strong were: Ultimate Phoenix, Jay Chord, and Silver Shark. Actually, these men would be the last three standing following Teddy Powell, Snap Dragon, and Enygma Extreme all being pinned before the end of the match-up (as in a multi-superstar X-WA Ladder Match, you can be removed from the match if you are pinned or if you submit before the victor is declared by retrieving the item in question).

The three remaining superstars would put together some of the greatest high spot moments in X-WA history as they all utilized each and every ladder, set around the ring, attempting to finish their opponents off in an extremely risky fashion. The biggest spot of the night would come as Ultimate Phoenix and Silver Shark are both seen climbing the same ladder on opposite sides... While both at the top... Fists began to wail back and forth until Phoenix was able to get the upper-hand... With a dazed Shark trying to re-gain his composure, 12 feet off the ground, Phoenix would shock the wrestling world when he sunset flipped over the top of the ladder and exicuted a deadly powerbomb from on high... Having both men crash drastically to the canvas below. An impact such as this would be enough to leave the crowd on the edge of their seats, however, just as both men hit the mat... Their bodies potentially "broke in half"... Jay Chord was seen climbing the closest turnbuckle in one single jump to the top rope... Then flinging himself backwards.... Landing a hellacious elbow drop square to the face of the semi-concious Ultimate Phoenix who WAS still suffering from the very powebomb he just landed.

In the end, it would come down to Jay Chord and Ultimate Phoenix... Fighting back and forth, once again, on the very top of the ladder as both men reached on high for the blank contract above. After a cheap poke to the eye of Ultimate Phoenix... Jay Chord was seen stretching out as far as he could... His fingers practically touching the bottom of the contract... However, just then, Phoenix would find a way to land a blinded (as he can't see following the cheap poke) forceful forearm strike to the chest of the unsuspecting Chord. Jay, trying to regain his composure quickly, tried to subdue his attacker as both men are eagerly looking for the win.... However, Ultimate Phoenix was fortunate enough to dodge an unstable strike by Chord... Ultimately landing a standing suplex off his side of the ladder... Crashing Chord to the canvas from on high... All the while Phoenix is able to stay on the same ladder rung he started on... Reaching up for the blank X-WA contract and finally grabbing hold of a potential "career changing" document.... All the while, both Jay Chord and Silver Shark (unconcious from a previous strike) lay 15 feet below him...

Winner: Ultimate Phoenix wins the X-WA "Rags to Riches" Six-Way Ladder Match in 11:39.

Angle: The Challenger in Jeopardy?...

Grade: D

The challenger to the X-WA Arena Championship tonight, American Elemental, is seen backstage conducting a brief promo centered towards his opponent tonight, and X-WA Arena Champion, Stric Lee Bizness. AE would convey a shocking statement as he declared that he will NOT use a knee brace for tonight's match-up despite suffering from a strained MCL following the beatdown that SLB bestowed upon him this last week on "Thursday Night Bliztkrieg". His intentions are just, as he believes that the knee brace will ultimately slow him down... limiting his ability in the ring, however, even the most optimistic person would have to question whether or not it's an intelligent choice (Especially going up against a cold, calculating, "Silent Assasin" with an above-average submission skill set). As AE's promo begins to wane towards its ending... A shadowy figure is seen striking him from behind with a steel chair across the back of his injured right knee. AE, falling to the ground with dead weight, is heard screaming out in pain as the attacker shows himself to be his upcoming opponent tonight, and the very man who injured AE in the first place, Stric Lee Bizness. SLB would continue his steel chair assualt on his challenger's right knee as AE desperately tries to pull himself away from the carnage. However, noticing this is the case, SLB steps down on the right ankle of American Elemental and lands one last vicious shot square on his injured knee. In a thunderous fashion... SLB throws the chair off to the side and silently stairs down his challenger... All the while X-WA security rushes onto the scene and seperates the two... SLB in a state of predatory intentions.... AE in a state of complete shock wrapped in absolute pain.

Angle: The Third member of the "Flash Trio" is...

Grade: C-

As Steve Flash, and his son Mathew Flash, climb into the the X-WA ring for tonight's action... Questions circle about WHO will ultimately be named as their Third Trio member. After a short amplified address by Steve... The Indy Wrestling Legend gets straight to the point.... Motioning towards the enterence curtain and delivering the Third Trio member, a long-time friend of his from years past, for their match-up tonight....

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/Titles%20and%20Logos/Oxford.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/RecklessAscentTrio.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/vs.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/Next-Gen-Trio.jpg

Steve Flash, Mathew Flash, and Robert Oxford vs. "The Next-Gen-Trio"

[3 vs. 3 - X-WA Trio Match]

Ever heard of the saying.. "I get by with a little help from my friends?"... This match-up was clearly an example of that as the "Indy Wrestling Legend", Steve Flash, was fortunate enough to have a current TCW Stand-out in his corner, Robert Oxford (currently on loan for one appearance with the X-WA). Even with Mathew Flash looking particularly weak through out the matches entirety... It didn't really matter as both Steve Flash and Robert Oxford (former NOTBPW Tag Champions) were "on fire".... Clicking as if the last 15 years never happen... As if they were still NOTBPW Tag Champions... Dominating their much younger opponents in the process.

Sure, "The Next-Gen-Trio" was quite deadly at certain points through out the match... Francios Cartier, for one, didn't waver in the sight of the legendary duo... Instead, barking orders at the other two members of the "Next-Gen-Trio" and delivering a calculating approach to his in-ring action. Would it really make a difference? In a way... yes.... However, the writing was on the wall from the onset of the match... The Trio was more focused upon "making a name for themselves at the expense of Flash & Oxford".... Not really focusing in on the match itself but rather their own egotistical intentions. This very fact would drive a wedge through the youngster Trio as, at one point, it looked like they were on the verge of their own internal fight... Mad about who would eventually attempt a pinfall on a semi-concious Mathew Flash following a double team brainbuster suplex.

With a little internal fighting going on between "The Next-Gen-Trio", Steve Flash & Robert Oxford were able to take advantage of the situation and ultimately single out each and every member... with Steve Flash landing his final blow to Jacob Jett, the legal man, slamming him down to the mat with a thunderous "Flash Bang" in the middle of the ring. Steve would follow his signature move with a dramatic pinfall as Robert Oxford stands at his side... Waiting to stop any attempt to break the pin-count. A standard 3 count would follow as Mathew would quickly jump into the ring as well... Already celebrating their victory seconds before the last count would finally land.

Winner: Steve Flash, Mathew Flash, and Robert Oxford over "The Next-Gen-Trio" in 10:32 via pinfall.

Grade: D

Angle: The Flash Trio Celebrates... With Tension hovering.

Grade: D

Despite Mathew Flash almost losing the match for the "Flash Trio", Steve and Robert are seen celebrating together. Not in your traditional "over the top" kind of performance but rather keeping consistent with Steve Flash's "blue collar" mentality... Shaking hands with his long-time friend, Robert Oxford, and exchanging pleasentries (which cannot be heard due to Flash's theme music blaring over the Arena Sound System). Mathew, with youthful ignorance, tries to share in the celebration... However... It's obvious to see that his Father is quite annoyed with his performance tonight. Instead of allowing him into their circle, Steve shakes his head and mouths the words "you screwed up tonight". In what could be classified as a very "cold exchange" from Father to Son, Mathew takes a step back in complete shock over his response. Steve continues to stair down his son for a few seconds as if to send a message.... However, Robert would attempt to break the tension... Raising both men's hands as victors... Keeping both Flash family members on either side of him in which to ease the arguement between Father & Son.

Angle: Cheap Shot to Start the match

Grade: D

At this point we would cut to a live shot of Vicente Marquez, still bound... still bloodied... and seemingly barely gripping to life, as his match-up with Jack Griffith is on tap to be next. The camera would pan out slightly to see Jack Griffith walking onto the scene now... Slowly shuffling his feet on the dusty cement floor that resides below both of them... Whispering to himself in the process... occassionally breaking out into a stint of psychotic laughter brought on by his own internal thoughts. As Griffith grows closer to Marquez, Jack is seen slowly bending down and whispering something into Vicente's ear... Marquez, trying to muster up as much strength as he can, wrestles around in his chair... however... is unable to break the chains that bind him to that very wooden trap. Jack, now slowly leaning back upright, shockingly swings a hard right fist across the face of Vicente Marquez... Seemingly knocking him out in the process due to the blow. Vicente, slumping over in his chair now, struggles to keep his conciousness as Jack Griffith begins to un-shackle his chains... Freeing him in the process. However, Griffith's vicious blow would serve as a tranquilizer of sorts as Marquez desperately tries to pull himself back together... Clawing his way back up to his feet as Jack watches on from afar... Well aware that Vicente's physical strength may be waned due to being tied up for a week in a dark undisclosed location... however, his internal strength is most likely surging...

Jack Griffith vs. Vicente Marquez

[Abandoned Psych Ward Match]

[The first person to locate Jennifer Heat is declared the Victor]

[if Griffith finds her first... She is forced to become his Bride]

No one expected for this match-up to be anything less than absolute carnage... A sadistic display of obsessive violence... A window into one man's personal hell (and the other's.... Personal Playground). There was no need for any technical abilities in this exchange... Neither man was focused upon defeating the other through any sort of traditional means... All in all, their match-up was centered primarily upon the complete destruction of their opponent... and in some ways... Their self. The building that stands as their hypothetical "ring" was a dimly lit psych ward that is no longer in operation due to a city-wide ban on the establishment (for various legal reasons). The only light that is present comes from a few broken in glass windows that illuminate the wavering street lights outside. Their fighting space, dusty and absolutely silent, would only carry the noise of an occassional passing by train or wayward vehicle... Creating a sense that these two men were locked away from society... really, more so, locked away from reality.

The match itself was more of a violent bar fight than anything else. Both men used a variety of vicious strikes to the other.... Most commonly punching away at eachother's faces as if they were possesed by something borderline evil (especially in the case of Jack Griffith). Vicente Marquez, after spending the last week being tied up in a wooden chair in this very building, was obviously without much strength... Very weak from the confines he was forced into by Griffith. This was evident through out most of their violent affair as Jack Griffith was typically seen as in control from the very start. Sure, Marquez was able to land an impressive offense (even if he was physically weak) at given points through out their fight... However, Marquez was smart enough to realize that if he knocked Griffith out-cold... He may never find where Jennifer was located in the building (as Jack Griffith actually knows where she currently resides within the abandoned Psych Ward). With this knowledge, most would question why Griffith doesn't go straight to where she is.... Win the match and ultimately drive Marquez into a deeper "hell" by taking Marquez as his "Bride"... But the truth of the matter is that Jennifer was NEVER Jack's real focus. Rather, the psychotic Griffith primarily used her as a "pawn" in an ellaborate scheme... A scheme to drive Vicente Marquez to absolute madness... Forcing he, the X-WA, and wrestling fans at large, to admit that ANYONE could end up like him (Jack Griffith)... And that his personal downward spiral could potentially happen to any superstar forced to live without their ready-made "Addictions".

Both men found themselves bleeding rather heavily towards the end of the match as they both utilized random weapons stationed around the complex. At one point, Jack Griffith pratically killed Marquez with a running steel pipe strike to the side of Vicente's head... Knocking Marquez out-cold in the process and leaving a pool of blood trailing from the top of his forehead. This exact sickening strike would allow Griffith to stagger away from their exchange for long enough to eventually turn into a broken down hallway... The overhead light swinging back and forth... Creating an extremely eery tone in the process. Jennifer's voice is heard screaming from one of the former patient rooms down the hallway... Screams of absolute fear... Not knowing what will eventually be her fate.

Jack staggered his way down the hallway, using the crackling wall as his "crutch", knowing exactly where he had chained Marquez's beloved girlfriend... Knowing he was only seconds away from claiming her for himself... Once and for all.. Killing any spirit that Vicente had left. However, just as Griffith reached for the handle of the heavy steel door... Vicente Marquez shockingly leaped onto the scene again... Striking Griffith with the very steel pipe that floored him a few moments ago. Blood splattered up against the thick black door as Griffith slowly hunched over up against the wall... Completely unconcious from the impact and seemingly in very bad shape physically. Vicente, running on what had to be pure adrenaline, quickly forced his way into the dreary, and extremely run-down, patient room... As Jennifer cried out with a mixture of fear and joy (happy to see Vicente for the first time in 2 weeks)... Vicente was seen releasing her from her shackles... Ultimately saving the love of his life from the hellacious carnage that she had recently been subjected to at the hands of the psychotic, Jack Griffith.

Winner: Vicente Marquez over Jack Griffith in 11:39 after locating (and freeing) Jennifer Heat.

Grade: C+

Angle: Saved by the one you love...

Grade: D

Vicente Marquez feverishly attempts to un-tie the love of his life, Jennifer Heat, who has been held captive for over 2 weeks now by his psychotic nemesis. Jennifer, completely emotional at this point (and who wouldn't be), is seen crying as her tears slide down her dusty face. Her clothes are tattered and torn, dusty and almost unrecognizable, as Vicente struggles to free her from her confines. However, just as the heroic boyfriend was set to free his beloved girlfriend from her restraints, Jack Griffith shockingly springs back onto the scene and assaults Marquez from behind. Griffith, bleeding pretty heavily from his forehead, stutters through his typical psychotic babble as he kicks repeatedly kicks Marquez square in the chest... over and over again. To finish the job, the "Psychotic One", is seen grabbing a steel pipe which laid nearby... In a unstable fit of laughter... Griffith lifts the steel pipe over his head (aiming for Marquez's head)... However, is taken by surprise and drops the steel pipe to his side... Slowing hunching over to the ground in immense pain. What did it to him? Jennifer Heat was able to finish freeing herself while Griffith was too busy assaulting Marquez... Just as Griffith was attempting his final strike... Jennifer did the only thing she knew how to do in a fight... she ran up from behind and kicked Griffith square between the legs from behind... A shot that would end any fight... Placing any man on the ground with side-splitting pain. Jennifer dives on Vicente... Crying.. So very happy to be free from her capture... Helping Vicente up off the ground. Many would expect to see Marquez "finish the job" on the fallen Griffith.. however.. that was certainly not the case. The camera would watch on as Vicente and Jennifer are seen staggering their way out of the abandoned Psych Ward.... Both barely able to stand... However, both, extremely happy to finally crawl their way out of their personal Hell...

Stric Lee Bizness © vs. American Elemental

[X-WA Arena Championship Match]

How can you defeat a submission expert.... when you only really have one good leg to stand on? Aren't you competing on borrowed time until the knee finally gives way... Giving enough room for the cold, and calculating, technition to take advantage of the situation and ultimately stand victorious? Well, time would tell whether or not these two superstars would follow down that very path... however, it was certainly evident, from the very beginning of the match, that AE was not at 100% what so ever... Practically hobbling to the ring... A true sympathetic figure. Once the bell rung though... Things instantly shift as AE's surging adrenaline would mask his immense sense of pain... Actually allowing him to keep up with SLB in the process.

This wasn't your steriotypical AE match though as even his injury masking adrenaline couldn't truly fix the problem. Rather, the man often seen as an "out-of-control risk junky" was completely floored through-out most of their match-up... Relying heavily on his average knoweldge of technical wrestling instead. This very fact would play entirely into Stric Lee Bizness's style of match as SLB is truly one of the most feared technitions in the X-WA... Eventually out-smarting AE in the process and taking full control of their match-up using his traditional suplex/submission hold combos at every turn. Despite this fact, however, AE was fortunate enough to stave off any submission holds centered on his injured right knee as whenever SLB would slip in for such an advance... AE found a way to wiggle himself free... All in all, keeping himself alive in the match (as it's certainly obvious to see that American Elemental's knee was certianly prone to further damage with even the simplest submission hold).

Towards the end of the match, AE started to mount a momentous comeback... Striking SLB over and over again.... Ultimately pushing him back on his heels in the process. However, the match would take a drastic turn, once again, against American Elemental as he "went for broke" with a ill-advised top rope moonsault. In the end, AE couldn't truly change his in-ring approach... As he couldn't keep himself from attempting such a high-risk move (especially towards the end fo the match... Where AE typically attempts such moves to land that "final nail in the coffin" on his opponents). As AE pushed off to exicute the backflip off the top rope... His right knee gave way... Having him crash awkwardly down to the mat in the process. From there, SLB would quickly lock in a twisting knee submission hold on the injured right knee of the X-WA Arena Challenger. AE, now coming out of his shocked daze, was seen desperately trying to break free... but.... To no avail. Instead, AE quickly declared that he had had enough.... Submitting to the very leg lock that originally injured AE's knee only a week ago on "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg".

Winner: Stric Lee Bizness over American Elemental in 18:55 via twisting leg lock submission.

At this point we are treated to a short highlight video documenting the chaotic history between X-WA Owner, Nemesis, and the "Silver Spoon Superstar", William Kingsbury III. The video itself is a lightly produced package that strings from their first encounter a few months ago... Leading up to Kingsbury's recent forced reinstatment in the X-WA (forced in the sense that his Father "put his foot down" and pushed his son back into the company without really listening to his reasoning for leaving). The overall tone of this presentation is the fact that both of these men have a true hatred for one another as they signify their counter opposites... Kingsbury, a rich little punk whose never worked a hard day in his life but rather still succeeds in whatever he does due to his name (and his name alone), against the very man who had to "pull himself up from his boot straps" after being thrown out of the SWF... The man who would single handedly carry DAVE on his back as he practically lost his life in the process. Needless to say, their match-up tonight will go down in history as one of the most heated exchanges in X-WA history.

Nemesis vs. William Kingsbury III

[if Kingsbury wins... He receives an X Championship opportunity]

[if Nemesis wins... Kingsbury is forced to work matches on "Blitzkrieg" again]

Many speculated whether or not Nemesis could still "cut it" in the ring, Citing years of nagging injuries and a lengthy vacation from the sport, however, those skeptics would end up eating their words by the end of this heated affair. Their rivalry had built up to an epic tone over the last 2 months as many considered this match-up as the ultimate "blow-off" situation. Both men fighting for their own causes... and both men seemingly focused on the task at hand. With that being said, however, William Kingsbury III was practically terrified of the Wrestling Legend through out most of the match... Using underhanded tactics (ie: eye gouging/poking, un-seen low blow strikes, etc.) to ultimately keep his distance from the X-WA Owner while also gaining a slight advantage at certain points through out their historic bout.

On one hand, Nemesis was seen as the beacon of straight-edge competition... A true hero in a sense as the aging Legend carried a sense of pride with every single monuever. It almost felt nostalgic to see Nemesis in this kind of situation again.... All of the same mannerisms were there.... His subconcious celebratory responses were on display yet again as the entire match held this sense of "days gone by". With that being said, It wasn't as if he looked like the aging superstar we've made him out to be... The X-WA Owner found a way to dig down deep and deliver the kind of match that no one thought was left in him... At one point, even landing an impressive suicide dive onto an unsuspecting Kingsbury, who stood on the outside at that time... "jaw-jacking" with certain crowd members and even contemplating walking out on the match all-together, both men would crash heavily onto the barely padded cement floor below.... Igniting the X-WA crowd into a full-on chant of "Holy Sh*t" for their beloved Owner.

On the other hand, Kingsbury was attempting to ultimately cheat his way to a victory (as stated before). In a lot of cases it was easy to see that Kingbury was more focused on surviving this match-up versus actually making a major impact as it pertains to true competition. At certain points, William was even seen dropping to his knees... Pleading for Nemesis to stop in the process... However, most times that not, as Nemesis would ascend upon him... Looking to continue his assault... Kingsbury would land a cheap poke to the eye followed by an aggressive attack on the, now, blinded Nemesis. This would enrage the crowd in attendance as they were obviously behind the grizzled Legend.

An interesting moment came towards the end of the match as fellow X-WA superstars came out of the back... Standing in the enterence way... Watching in "awe" of their fearless leader as he bestowed a sense of forced "respect" upon the "Silver Spoon Superstar". Beating him effortlessly into the corner and continuing his assault much to the crowd's anticipation. These on-looking superstars, now almost half of the X-WA babyface roster, watch on as Nemesis stands on high.

Towards the end of the match, however, things would change pretty drastically... The referee in charge of the match-up, Jez McArthuer, was knocked to the canvas by a vicious closeline from Kingsbury (who made it look like he was going for Nemesis... but turned ever so slightly to hit Jez in the process). Now, with the referee no longer in control, Kingsbury was seen quickly subduing the X-WA Owner and grabbing a steel chair from ringside. The babyface roster members don't make a move... More out of respect for Nemesis as they know he'd rather not have anyone interfere in the match-up.. Instead, watching on as Kingsbury climbs back into the ring and lands a thunderous chair shot to the forehead of the Wrestling Icon. Nemesis, trying to keep himself on his feet, shakes off the seemingly whimpy chair shot from Kingsbury... Pushing William to land, yet another, shot across the forehead of Nemesis. This collision would stagger Nemesis a little more, however, STILL not knock him down as the X-WA Owner motions for Kingsbury to "do it again". This time, Kingsbury lands the bridge of the chair across the gut of Nemesis... Bending him over in the process.... From there, Kingsbury would drop the chair down below the both of them and exicute a snap DDT square onto the unforgiving steel below.

In dramatic fashion, Kingsbury would follow up with a quick pinfall... Practically shaking Jez in the process to wake him up. From there, Jez would attempt a standard, but overally sold, 3 count.... BUT.... It was not enough. The Hardcore Icon was able to kick out at 2 1/2 sending the Evanovich Riverside Arena into a crazed response! Kingsbury, with his eyes wide open in complete shock, would slowly back away from the situation as Nemesis staggers himself back up to his feet using the ropes to his side for leverage. Once back on his feet... Nemesis would begin to shake his head with a feverish tone... Gaining more and more power as the moments go bye.

Kingsbury would try to escape his wrath but it was too late.... He had pissed off the very man you don't want to do so in the X-WA.... The very man who made a career out of using his aggression to physically destroy everyone in his path. William wouldn't last much longer as Nemesis would make quick work of him... Finally landing his signature "Nemesis Arrow" with so much force that Kingbury's unconcious body bounced a few inches off of the mat upon impact. As a thunderous ovation is heard... Nemesis was seen making a dramatic pinfall of his own... Picking up the victory... And forcing William Kingsbury III, in the process, back to the X-WA's weekly TV telecasts...

Winner: Nemesis over William Kingsbury III in 13:40 via pinfall.

The fans are absolutely buzzing right now as the Wrestling Legend, and X-WA Owner, Nemesis is seen having his right arm raised in victory by X-WA referee, Jez McArthuer. After it seems like everyone in attendance is able to snap a picture of their own.. Nemesis turns his attention towards his opponent, William Kingsbury III, slowly trying to pull himself back up to his feet. With a sly smirk on his face, Nemesis points over at Kingsbury, inviting the crowd to boo like crazy. In what could be classified as a "Roman Signal of death", Nemesis turns his pointing finger into a thumbs down.... A motion that would strike fear in Kingsbury, who looks to stagger his way out of the ring as fast as possible, however, it's too late. Nemesis quickly ascends upon his opponent and in one swift move... Throws him square out of the ring, over the top rope, and crashing to the floor in a thunderous heap. From there Nemesis would continue to celebrate his victory over the "silver spoon superstar" as the X-WA fans in attendance are eating this up... every second of it. The segment would come to a close with one final zoomed in shot of William Kingsbury III... Struggling to fight back a wall of tears; as he's heard crying out to his Daddy in a desperate fashion.

Acid © vs. Fumihiro Ota vs. Kill Switch

[X-WA X Championship Match]

[if Fumihiro Ota loses then he will not receive another shot as long as Acid is the Champion]/

After a string of, almost, legendary match-ups... "Reckless Ascent" would finally come to it's epic Main Event pitting THE most dominant force in the X-WA, The X Champion; Acid, against a member of the demonic Trio, "The Circus"; Kill Switch, and the hell-bent cruiserweight stand-out potentially on his last leg; Fumihiro Ota. A three-way warfare with a hint of anarchy hovering in the air. Why Anarchy? Because these three men would theoretically tear the roof off of the Evanovich Riverside Arena... Putting their bodies on the line for the chance to obtain (or in Acid's case.. Retain) the "crown jewel" of the X-WA.... The X Championship.

Their epic Three-Way bout was littered with deadly high spots, hard striking assaults, and tandem monuevers (which typically ended with one member of the supposed tandem then turning on the after soon there afre) that would not only excite the X-WA crowd but would also, seemingly, be too much for the ring to hold.... As, this match-up spent more time on the outside of the ring.... Along the ringside area... Then between the ropes. This would prove to be a great advantage for the "Circus" member as both Whippy the Clown and Snap Dragon were often seen getting involved with the match-up. Typically, one member would distract the referee for a matter of a few seconds, as the other would find a random weapon around the ringside area to beat down one of Switch's opponents. At one point, It became so prevelant (that "The Circus" was getting involved) that the X-WA referee in charge, Jez McArthuer, was seen throwing "The Circus" out of the ringside area. Needless to say... This didn't happen.... As whenever McArthuer attempted to do so... "The Circus" would simply threaten the much smaller, and out numbered, X-WA staff member... Ultimately forcing the X-WA referee to allow their presence at ringside.

For awhile there it seemed as if Kill Switch could potentially win the X Championship solely off the fact that "The Circus" had made themselves a permanent fixture around the ringside area... Using every moment possible to viciously assault both Acid and Fumihiro Ota. However, "The Circus's" dominance would slowly falter and fall completely out of favor later on during the match as both Acid and Fumihiro Ota were seen banding together (in a non-verbal connection) to "mow over" every single member of the demonic Trio. As the dust began to settle on their brief tandem... All three members of "The Circus" were seen struggling to get back to their feet... scattered around the ringside area... And seemingly reeling from the recent string of events.

The actual in-ring action would carry a sense of true desperation as Fumihiro Ota could sense that this may be his final X-WA X Championship shot for quite some time (knowing if he lost... He couldn't contend again until after Acid had lost the title). With this knowledge in the back of his mind, Ota would deliver everything but the kitchen sink... Pushing himself to the edge and coming out with moments of greatness that he didn't even think was possible. On more than one occassion Ota was on the verge of winning the X Championship, however, never was able to get past a 2 1/2 count. Even following a top rope powerbomb on Kill Switch... Jez would follow with a standard 3 count... ONLY to have Acid break the count only seconds before he were to be declared as the victor.

It all seemed to weight pretty heavily on Fumihiro Ota as he was feeling the pressure of the moment really starting to wear down on him. A high spot here, an impactful suplex there, a devestating submission hold as well..... Nothing was creating the kind of outcome he was typically looking for. No matter what there was always someone there to stop his attempt at a pinfall... And it was this very notion that would haunt him up until the very end of the match...

The match came to an end as Fumihiro Ota threw Acid into the farthest turnbuckle with a forceful irish whip... Upon entering the corner of the ring... Acid would attempt to push himself up and over a running Ota by pushing himself up and over using the top ropes on either side as his bracing.... However, Ota's veteran mentality came to his aide as the hell-bent cruiserweight was fortunate enough to catch Acid in mid air into a powerslam position... Without a second to spare... Ota would quickly drop Acid down to the mat with his signature front face powerslam spike (the TAKA Driver) square in the corner of the ring!! The crowd, absolutely shocked by the outcome of what has just happened, is seen quickly rising to their feet as they anticipate a potential NEW X Champion!!

However, just as Fumihiro Ota sprung back up to his feet... ready to attempt, what could be, his final pinfall... Kill Switch quickly breaks the moment with an opportunistic choke hold from behind. Kill Switch, pulling Ota away from the fallen X Champion, wrentches in.... harder and harder... Turning the belly to back choke hold... into a inverted hold as Switch ends up butterflying one of Ota's arms behind his back. Wrentching back harder and harder... Switch attempts to win the match with a painful looking submission hold... Cutting Ota's brain off from air and ultimately having the cruiserweight challenger begin to lose conciousness. As Kill Switch, still standing behind Ota, wrentches back even harder... Jez McArthuer checked Ota to see if he was unable to submit due to lack of conciousness..... Holding his arm up and dropping it.... 1...... Doing so again...... 2.....

Just as the final arm raise was attempted... Signifying that Kill Switch was about to win the match.... The X-WA X Champion, Acid, quickly ascends from the mat as if he was playing possum through out the submission's entirety... Striking Switch in the back of the head with a stiff elbow strike... And eventually dropping the demonic Challenger from behind with his signature reverse DDT monuever, "The Acidity Test". Ota's unconcious body also falls to the mat in an accelerated manor as it's obvious to see that he's no longer "there" but rather in a world of his own. From there, as the crowd slowly begins to boo (wanting to see the title change hands tonight), Acid is seen making the final pinfall of the night.... Picking up the 3 count and successfully retaining his X Championship in the process.

Winner: Acid over Fumihiro Ota and Kill Switch in 13:54 via pinfall. Acid retains the X-WA X Championship by pinning Kill Switch.

Angle: The Champion Retains...

Grade: C+

As the "smoke fades" and the "dust has cleared", It's obvious to see that Acid is still the X-WA X Champion after a hard fought war between all three men. Acid, struggling to pull himself back up to his feet, is showing a sense of being human for the first time in his short X-WA career. It looks as if he is barely able to stand as the Jez McArthuer triumphently returns the X Championship to its rightful owner. With a backdrop of fans actually cheering the vile superstar, in a show of respect, Acid is seen slowly extending his arms out to his side... Flexing in the process... Showing off an amazing physique for such a small statured wrestler. Meanwhile, Acid is also seen extend his head backwards... looking up at the ceiling... As he proclaims his dominance with a animalistic warrior-cry heard echoing through out the Evanovich Riverside Arena. This pose holds for the remaining seconds of the "Reckles Ascent" PPV as one thing is for sure.... Acid IS the most dominant force in Pro Wrestling Today!

Evanovich Riverside Arena Attendance: 8,469

"Reckless Ascent" PPV Rating: 0.44

Prediction Winner(s): "The Great" Apupunchau@optonline (5 out of 6)!!

Diary Note:

* So I realize now that the images I created weren't all the same size (The Trio match and the six way), however, it was a test run to see how it would work out. It'll get better. I hope. ha. Enjoy the show!

* Writing up PPV Events seem to take everything out of me as it's much much more to write-up (as my match lengths are typically longer for PPV Events). I'm not sure if I'll continue to go that route for PPV shows or just keep it at a lower amount like most TV events.... Either way, I plan on posting a few things over the next few days... however... Won't probably be putting up a new card until Monday or so. That way I can relax a bit after pumping this one out!

Terrific show. Your attention to detail is incredible. Plus, the little graphics touches really add to the importance of the show. I like the way you cut the pics down for the multi-man matches - when all the same size that'll look really good.

Especially interested to see where Griffith goes from here.
