What do you do to get your Pictures from SvR 2010 Marcel ? They're such good quality

Bit of a round-about method...

I save a bit of action within a match and then go to the highlight reel thing. I fiddle with the camera angle to make it look as un-WWE as possible! I then save it and upload it to YouTube.

Once it's on there, I get on the PC and take a screen dump as the short video is playing. Bit of cropping and save it as a photo - then add it to the DTP.

As I said, it's quite a bit of hassle to get it done to that quality - I suppose I could just take a photo of my tv screen. It does take me a while, but I figure I'm only doing a few screens per tour. Anyway, I thought I'd try it out and see how it fared and how people liked it. After all, I like trying to be a little unique in my diary presentation! :D

Ahhh, that clears things up, I might just do that then :p

Boo to Eddie Chandler beating Jack Griffith! Go Southern Justice!

Boo to angel booing Eddie Chandler beating Jack Griffith! Chandler is the rightful king!

I kind of like this - XWA is built on a no heel/face divide and, although certain characters are more notably heel-like or face-like in their attitude shown in interviews or in their allegiances, I think the waters are mostly murky. It allows people to cheer on the people they like, which pretty much differs from reader to reader.

I'm just filling up the final post on this page of the diary here. I'll shortly post up the prediction competition for Grand Finale. I'm not sure how long I'll leave that running - I'll probably check the responses over the next couple of days and decide. I'm away for a couple of days after Christmas, so it may be a week before the results are posted. Alternatively, I may get them up before I go if the regulars appear to have had their say!

Last thing - hope everyone that reads this diary has a very happy Christmas! :)

So far we've got 14 predictions in for Grand Finale...

Regis, Trell, My Name Is Not..., Tigerkinney, maskedpropaganda, Phantom Stranger, Mr Onu, Dragonmack, MaxMoon, Foolinc, randomfreeze, AzzMartin, BHK1978 and ck.

Great to see regulars, returning familiar faces and some newcomers all in there.

Still a few regulars who will hopefully predict and nobody (as yet) has scored a perfect 6 out of 6. If I think we've got most people's predictions come tomorrow, I might try to post up the results before Christmas Day.

The prediction competition for Grand Finale 2010 is now closed.

ooc: Sorry for not getting this up earlier, but better late than never! Show results will go up either later tonight or tomorrow sometime.

I've mentioned it in the FanZone below, but thanks to everyone that has predicted here - this was the biggest turnout I've had for any of the cards.

What it did mean was that some people might have asked questions or given thoughts on the matches in vain as I ran out of space!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

You realize that, had I been predicting at this rate from the beginning, I'd be the winner right now?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> 3-ways don't seem to be too advantageous for great matches generally. I was surprised last year at X-plosion that a 3-way between Lover, Deeley and Jack Marlowe was a disappointment. And this match was the same. That said, I'm pretty sure it suffered being straight after the 6-man tag, which scored a far higher rating than I thought it would get. Honestly, I expected the 6-man to get a C, the Arena match to get a C+ and the main to maybe get a B-. But 3 B- matches on the show at this stage is nothing to be sniffed at, so I can't complain.</p><p> </p><p> And as for your predictions - well, yes, 4 in each round would have made you a joint winner, I guess. You'll have to put your money where your mouth is on the next tour, won't you?! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

ooc:

Ok, the future of the diary...

Ever since the announcement of TEW2010, diary writers will have been pondering how and when to stop their 2008 diaries. And I'm no different. At first I thought this might be it, but winning the November DOTM competition and getting a few new predictors for recent shows has given me a bit of incentive to keep it going.

So the plan is this - I'll be running one more XWA tour, which will take us through to the end of 2010 in game. It's usually taking about a week of real time to post up a month of game time in the diary, so one more 5-month tour would take us into February. And, given the release date for 2010 is currently 1st quarter, that might be about right. I'd like to have the diary all done and dusted by the time 2010 is released.

Also, doing one more tour will likely bring me to a certain point - the point where XWA is on the verge of going Cult. By the end of 2010, I think the overness in the Tri-State (my 2nd area) will be very close to D. But the finances are only likely to be around 400,000 at that point, which isn't enough to run a Cult promotion. So the next 12 months or so would probably be a bit of a holding program while I boosted the funds. That's another good reason to stop the diary at that point!

So - to sum up - about another 6 weeks of this diary, I reckon. Thanks for the continued support! :)
