Board effort towards a fictional universe...

One more that I finished up and feel to sleep during the render.

"Ice Cold" Ian Decay

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/machinesxe/IanDecay.jpg

“Ice Cold” Ian Decay is a Tattooed Lightweight that tends to be associated with how he ended up where he is. He was sent to SCW after a surprising turn of events. He was noticed by a US-A scout at an Indie show during an ice storm in VT. What made him stand out was that during the match he asked all the fans to meet him outside after throwing his opponent through a window of the gymnasium they were working in. When the fans and this scout headed outside in the storm Decay was on top of the two story building and did a running Shooting Star Press off the roof onto his opponent. The scout for US-A asked Decay to show up for the couple of NY shows that were lined up for the week to work some try-outs. Well Decay was able to job out in such an impressive way he was brought to TV in the same week but when it was his time to shine he had stage fright and wasn’t able to perform at his normal level of ability. He was then sent to SCW in an attempt to get him ready for the main stage but since US-A had severed their ties with SCW Decay has stayed with SCW and made it his home turf.

The man spoke about in Decay's profile.

Articane

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/machinesxe/Articane.jpg

Frank DeGregorio aka Articane is known for several distinct reason, none all that flattering but he doesn’t seem to care. The first thing that people remember is he is the guy that was thrown through the glass window at the show in VT by Ian Decay and then took a shooting star press from a two story jump that lead to Decay getting a big time shot with US-A. DeGregorio on the other hand went nagging the US-A scout about a try-out and was blown off and told he didn’t have the “it” factor or the wrestling talent, but was a tough SOB and should take his shot at MMA.

That leads to the second thing DeGregorio is known for in which he trained for about 4 months before his first fight in MMA and after starting his first and only match took a leaping knee from his opponent right after punching gloves and was knocked out, the match was called after 6 seconds. DeGregorio got up and verbally attacked the referee until he was blocked off by the training staff. He never shook hands and left MMA after he this match for what he says is a retirement.

This brings us to know, DeGregorio has reentered to wrestling world with a cross-over gimmick and is working the Indies after trying to contact Decay to get him a spot on the US-A and SCW development offer. DeGregorio has gone on record as saying that Decay had stole his spot and it should have been him getting the call up to US-A and he wouldn’t have dropped the ball during his match on TV.

Nice stuff machine and Trell, I'm really digging your last few renders. Gotta love Suicidal Gundii and his African Militia.

Are the light settings being used available in a format that works with Poser? I wouldn't mind trying to chip in a few renders once I get the GDS Beta out of the way, but the file is for DAZ Studio.

A few ideas for unique feds:

Generic Championship Wrestling: A company filled with every stereotype in wrestling, designed to poke fun at the business norms. Comedy is a key feature. The wrestler's names are the stereotype they represent e.g. "GIANT", "FACEPAINT WARRIAH", "MASKED MAN", "EVIL RUSSIAN", "JOB GUY", "THE UNDERDOG" etc.

Classic Wrestling Alliance: A throwback to wrestling of the 60s and 70s. Matches could go for over an hour and very little risks are ever taken.

Strong Style Grappling: An American/European company with heavy Japanese influences, perfect for people who like the idea of intense touring companies with no angles, but who like to use Western workers.

Are you going to be creating data for the mod or are you contributing in the form of bios?

I ask because depending on which you're doing I was going to add the workers or leave it to you. :)

Here are the first 2 wrestlers (along with Sean Anderson and Zack Richard Arnold) that will help make up some of my roster.

Main Event

Shamus the Sorcerer

Short Name: Shamus

Race: White Nationality: Irish Based: UK Status: Active Wrestler Style: Brawler Size: Heavyweight

Face and Heel Gimmick: Mystical Sorcerer (A wrestler that uses sub normal powers to control over other wrestlers and officials sometimes to their advantage or sometimes to help others.)- Better as a heel gimmick though.

Description: Shamus is quite stockily built and does look like he has been on the roids as he is looking for that edge that will get him into a bigger company. Fire red hair and a big bushy beard.

Date of Debut: June 1994

Bio: Shamus the Sorcerer (Born February 27th, 1980) is an Irish brawler best known for his work in the FLI (Fight Like Irishmen) promotion where he is a 4 time Irish Heavyweight Champion and one of the most dominant heels in the promotion. Over the years Shamus has grown considerably from the Middleweight he started as to a stockily built heavyweight; some believe due to an addiction to steroids. Shamus has made his intentions quite clear on numerous occasions that he has no intention to be at FLI but it is only due to the fact no other company at present wants him that he is still there. Known for his finisher “The Spell” which is a variation of a Double Powerbomb which has injured numerous opponents (He claims by accident) Shamus has developed the nickname of “The Career Killer” by various Reporters due to his clearly, unstable safety in the ring.

Kenny Riley

Race: Black Nationality: English Based: UK Status: Active Wrestler Style: MMA Crossover Size: Middleweight

Face Gimmick: MMA Bad Ass Heel Gimmick: Dual Sport Superstar

Description: Black, bold headed guy, the face should show like no emotion just a glare at you as you look at it. No stubble although he does have a small scar around the right side of his mouth if anyone is capable of just getting that minor detail in.

Date of Debut: December 2008

Bio: “The Pride of Britain” Kenny Riley (Born September 4th, 1982) is a English former Boxer turned Mixed Martial Artist now turned Wrestler. To put it simple; he loves to fight. A champion at all levels of sport he has competed in he is most well known nationally for boxing on mainstream TV for a number of years before turning his arm to try MMA (winning 4 fights and losing 2). While Riley doesn’t have as good in ring skills as 90% of the roster he would be on he does have a hell of a lot of charisma, star quality and just that “It Factor” that has already taken him to the top of the FLI ranks after winning his first title in March 2009 when he knocked out Shamus the Sorcerer in a last man standing match for the title. Kenny has all the chances he needs it’s just a question whether or not he will take them.

I'm sorry kobe but I have to ask this, are you using weidts lights, cause none of your renders look like ours?

I was using an outdated version of Daz and couldn't get the lights in the link to load in Daz. Just got daz 3 tonight when I placed the renders side by side and saw the difference. Future renders will use weidts lights.

I'll re-render those that clash with weidts lighting.

AJ Starlight using Weidts lighting:

Some other female renders (didn't use Weidts lighting, just postwork) :

http://img18.imagevenue.com/loc62/th_52340_Payton_Briggs_122_62lo.jpg

P.S. Made the Angie Post render the Joséphine Demers one instead per request, and the old Joséphine Demers render is now Lucy Patterson. Scrapped the Lucy Patterson one cuz it was really bad :)

you might want to stay away from doing post work, seeing as how no one else is :)

Yeah, I wasn't really sure. There seemed to be a number of different rendering styles as far as lights/models being used etc. so I just tried to match the lights. Was faster/better in the end to just upgrade from 2.2 to 3.0 though. :)

Have some guys I was going to render tonight. Might post them tonight or maybe tomorrow morning. :)

I'm gonna be taking a break from rendering, I just can't get myself to turn on Daz these days without turning it off about 5 miniutes later. So I'll start contributing some Descriptions for the renders for my 3 promotions, since I already have the bios.

I wouldn't mind having Ryan Rampage re-done, although I do like the render, and it's one of my personal favorites, it doesn't match the lighting, and i'd like it too, I'd just like to see a different take on it. Same goes for Ita, i'd also like to see a different take on him. Here are their bios for inspiration.

Ryan Rampage

Ryan Rampage is the definition of a brute. Granted being only 5'10" and under 200 lbs, he brutalizes his opponents with his incredibly powerful punches and intense slams. Not only his strength inside the ring, but outside, as he has a reputation for intimidating his opponents with his intense stare and multiple tattoos. After leaving DARKNESS wrestling due to the size not pleasing him anymore, he moved over to NUNCHAKU in the year 2006 after the break-off from RSWA, where he has stayed ever since.

Ita The Great

Ita the Great, also known as Hanshiro Ita under his famous mask, that has been handed down through the generations of the greats. Of course, he has made modifications in the progress, and when they say "In the progress", they mean every match. The fans know him to have some different wild designs in every match, which is why he is so popular in Japan. In 2004, with the RSWA, he was expected to lose the mask, to wrestle as more of a legitimate athlete, but after being banned from doing so by Kunimichi Kitou, he quickly quit the organization, taking a hiatus from the business. He returned in 2007, to get snatched up by an American company, DARKNESS where he is the driving force in the division.

No Need to add these to your database Kobe, as I've got them in mine, and I'm going to send them to you.

Robo-Richard

Robo-Richard had a very interesting story in life. A major in bionics and kinetics in University, he decided one day to invent his own bionic-robotics suit, which was designed to be faster, stronger, more intelligent, and more enduring. There was an accident, blending the suit with Richard, and causing him to be half-man, half-robot. It was an incredible life, he won all the sporting events, got into MENSA, and won the Bodybuilding Nationals in 2001. But there was always the downside, of being ridiculed, being called a freak-show, being accused of cheating. Richard quit athletics, and went into hiding for the next 5 years. Re-surfacing in 2006, he applied for DARKNESS : Hardcore Wrestling, and has been there ever since, but there will always be an organization prepared to snatch him up, due to his amazing athletics and in-ring psychology.

That's all for now

Is that a promotion bio or general bio? Just wondering if it's meant to be shoot or work
