1. Haven't checked the data yet to confirm, and maybe it's already been fixed and I'm just way out of date... ... but the 53 Pedro Ortiz just gave birth. Seeing as how its 1997, I felt OK assuming his gender here.
 2.

Any chance you would release a beta version of the mod? I'm not sure how far into the future you've finished modifying the workers but the reality is chances are most players arent even going to hit 10 years.

The problem is, there's really no way to sort wrestlers by "time of debut". And honestly, it's a goal I personally absolutely want to achieve before I make any sort of official release. Not only that, but releasing it now would probably hurt my motivation to truly "finish" the mod in the future. When I'm this close... eh, best not to chance it.

I'll consider a "beta" release some time after all the workers have been given at least the most minor amount of love, though in truth there won't be too much else left to do at that point. A few other things absolutely still need to be cleaned up, but nothing major.

Though I suppose I can release a "beta version" for everyone after that, and see if we can't find anything obviously broken. And I suppose I can use that time to focus more on some of the "fun" stuff I want to get into the mod. Various silly narratives and the like, of which I have for too many.

I would offer to help but I do not know C-Verse that well and I cannot make graphics worth a darn.

Hey! Life has been hectic since the whole, you know, house fire thing.

But yes, it's still coming along. With the worst in the past, right now I'm throwing myself back into it this and will, gods willing, be done in the not so distant future.

I'm still in the process of my "final walk-through" of cleaning up every, single worker in the database by making sure they have default gimmicks, body sizes/types, are located in proper locations, and that nothing is obviously "broken" about them. At the same time, I'm currently experimenting with using narratives and alter egos still to try and "replicate" some worker's transitions from one character to another between iterations of TEW. For example, having E.Z. Ryder become primarily known as Wiley Steinway at the appropriate time, and having Harmon Girard be widely known still as Fortius Minimus. But, at least for initial release, this will be kept to a minimum as it's both time consuming and it's probably best to keep pre-determination a little limited.

With that said, I'll be damned if I can't have Fortius Minimus running around.

 4.
Time keeps chugging along in NYCW, now into the year 2020, and boy are we a different company than when I started. What was once a Small company only holding a show once a month, NYCW has now expanded to holding weekly televised events on East Coast Today (along with our monthly events on the same network). Let's take a look at the roster as we work through this most recent decade:

Main Event

Ernest Youngman

Logan Wolfsbaine

Man Mountain Cahill

Rayne Man

Scythe

Texas Pete

The Silencer

Upper Midcard

BB Colossus

Connor Threepwood

Crockett Tubbs

Dean Waldorf

Marv Statler

Tennessee William

Xavi Ferrara

Midcard

Andrew Harper

Brutus Milano

Devastating Don

Geoff Borne

Howlin' Mad Mort

Julius Moor

Riley McManus

Steel

The New York Doll

Whitehorse Whittaker

Lower Midcard

Ace Youngblood

George Wolfe

Joffy Laine

Philippe LaGrenier

Roderick Remus

Opener

Hawkeye Calhoun

Jules Night

T-Bone Bright

Enhancement Talent

Annihilus

Bradley Blaze

Non-Wrestlers

Cheerleader Nicki (Manager: The Ring Generals)

Duke Hazzard (Manager: The Boys From The Yukon)

Ed Monton (Owner/Road Agent)

Ernie Turner (Colour Commentator)

Fern Hathaway (Personality)

Jez McArthur (Referee)

Karen Killer (Manager: Soldiers of Darkness)

Rock Downpour (Announcer)

Steve Flash (Road Agent/Head Booker)

Venus Angeletti (Manager: Rayne Man)

Tag Teams

Borne To Riot (Geoff Borne & The New York Doll)

Night-Laine (Jules Night & Joffy Laine)

Soldiers of Darkness (Scythe & BB Colossus)

The Boys From The Yukon (Howlin' Mad Mort & Whitehorse Whittaker)

The Bronx Brawlers (Brutus Milano & Devastating Don)

The Fighting Irish (Connor Threepwood & Crockett Tubbs)

The Killers (Texas Pete & Man Mountain Cahill)

The Next Big Things (Xavi Ferrara & Steel)

The Ring Generals (Dean Waldorf & Marv Statler)

Titles:

NYCW Empire: Ernest Youngman

NYCW Tri-State Regional: Tennessee William

NYCW Tag Team: Soldiers of Darkness

NYCW Sam Keith Classic (latest winners): The Fighting Irish

NYCW Rip Chord Invitational (latest winners): Rayne Man

Current Storylines:

A self-proclaimed "purist", Ernest Youngman, is the reigning NYCW Empire champion, having defeated Rayne Man for the belt in hotly contested fashion. Youngman denies he cheats or uses any underhanded tactics outside of matches, but it sure looked like his feet were on the ropes when he pinned Rayne Man for the title... Youngman is now doing whatever he can to avoid battling Rayne Man one on one, though maintaining he's a true "fighting champion". To make matters worse, denying his dubious tactics hasn't been enough to dissuade NYCW's own self-appointed vigilante, The Silencer, from putting Youngman in his crosshairs. Youngman has managed to try and play both challengers off of each other, and in a recent defense managed to defeat The Silencer in a cage match... though only after The Silencer was mysterious attacked and injured, and even then Youngman utilized a weapon to aid in his victory (which, he'll remind you, is perfectly legally in a cage match). Meanwhile, Rayne Man is still making his case that he's the top contender for the title, and The Silencer is never easily dissuaded...

Xavi Ferrara and Logan Wolfsbaine, both recent NYCW Tri-State champions, have been running an old fashion blood feud, looking to one up each other at every opportunity. What started off as a simple friendly competition for the Tri-State title, then held by Ferrara, turned ugly when Wolfsbaine didn't take kindly to Xavi's bragging. Logan has since been on the warpath, looking to hurt and humiliate Ferrara at every turn, even viciously attacking and "injuring" his long time friend/partner, Steel. Steel has since recovered and is working to try and keep Xavi safe from Wolfsbaine's dangerous wrestling techniques, outnumbering the cold-hearted technical wizard. Xavi recently scored a spiteful victory, looking for revenge for (yet another) attack on Steel to try and "even the odds". Xavi didn't get a piece of him, but the distraction cost Logan Wolfsbaine the Tri-State title to Tennessee William in what many expect to be nothing more than a routine defense. It looks like Logan will find a real equalizer if he doesn't want Ferrara to ever truly get revenge...

Tennessee Williams is the NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW NYCW Tri-State Regional champion, having shocked audiences when he pinned Logan Wolfsbaine on an episode of NYCW Slam Masters! Williams is, so far, just enjoying his first taste of singles gold in NYCW and is awaiting a match with the man who won a fatal four way for contendership to the title, Howlin' Mad Mort.

Making their debut midway through 2019, the Soldiers of Darkness have already made an everlasting mark on NYCW. Lead by Karen Killer, BB Colossus and Scythe have demonstrated a combination of power, intensity, and *pure evil* neither seen nor heard in NYCW before. They emerged victorious over Borne To Riot after an ugly feud with the rights to challenge The Fighting Irish for the NYCW Tag Team titles. Despite their years of experience together, Tubbs and Threepwood were unable to stop the dark rampage of their opponents and lost their beloved Tag Team titles. The Irish are fighting to take them back, but so far they too have been unable to overcome the shadow now starting to loom over NYCW...

Interesting Notes:

Bulldozer Brandon Smith, having been SHOCKINGLY revealed to have been the masked American Patriot all along, has left us for BHOTWG only a few months before we secured our TV deal. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors as he was a huge star when we had next to none. Thankfully, more than a few have risen to fill the void he left.

Animal Harker also bailed for Burning Hammer around the same time. Have to say, my Main Event scene hadn't taken a hit like that in a long time.

Larry Vessey has left the business, and NYCW have been purchased by Ed Monton. Ed, who already failed as owner of MAW, tried to turn NYCW into a "performance" based company... but I shut that down right quick.

Annihilus, a very recent signing after we hit Cult, is currently lingering down at the bottom of the card. He's recently bulked up to Giant status, and naturally a man of his incredible and unparalleled talents shouldn't remain down there for long.

As promised, I brought in a healthy number of ex-MAW guys as the roster spots opened. Most of them are still finding their place in NYCW, but I've got high hopes that most of them will one day at least be a regular part of their midcard (Remus could probably be a big star, even as a flier, given his incredible talent).

Even if he wasn't ex-MAW, George Wolfe got to jump to the start of the line the moment his dad purchased the company. No complaints, he's the kind of powerful brawler I always love having on my roster.

Rayne Man has been a YUUUUUUUUUGE success story for me, as mentioned last time. Just feel like he's warranted another shout out, him and Youngman have really become the backbone of the roster. He had a nice, long reign earlier with the NYCW Empire title and I knew for about a year's worth of booking that he would be the next man to win the Rip Chord Invitational.

I really didn't anticipate Scythe and BB Colossus getting this over this quickly. I've honestly tried to slow them down, but at this point I give up. Scythe (who I thankfully found a great re-render for) is destined for superstardom with us; he's a big guy with huge menace, the highest SQ in the company, and is even one of our best in-ring guys. Why SWF didn't hang on to him for forever and why he was allowed to wander around the independent scene I'll never know, but he's mine now. BB's been a little slower going, but seeing as how he's the C-Verse's very own "Big Vis", I absolutely had to bring him aboard. Naturally, with my touch he's also rocketing to stardom with us. I've temporarily set the Tag Team titles to Floating while I figure out how to adapt to their meteoric rise and can safely drop the belts back down to my stellar tag division.

I'm glad with the growing company I'm finally able to give love to some of the guys who lingered towards the bottom for so long. Brutus Milano for example has really developed into a solid talent that can be relied upon in the midcard, and is getting more and more wins every day. Also he has great chemistry against Steel, and it's wonderful to see such great grades in matches between a couple of steroid-infused Comradebotasaurs.

Steel is also awesome. Just want to say that.

In my most *un*-Comradebot move, I have to say that Jules Night has been a really fun project. He's undersized, lacks all forms of charisma, and can't even work most gimmick particularly well. Still, as a Lightweight non-flier, he's got that underdog charm to him that I can't quite resist... so he's getting his shot. I've started team him with Joffy Laine, with Joffy playing a Simpleton gimmick and Night with (a Legendary rated!) Ice Man gimmick for some opening card fun time. The constant time with Joffy has done Jules a world of favors, as he's now up to a D- in Charisma. Considering he once had like an F or F+ and after every show veterans were telling me to give up on him because he can't connect with audiences, it's quite the improvement. I'd like to think one day he could develop into the lovable, goofy underdog babyface that loses a valiant effort to Annihilus.

Tennessee William just refuses to ever be a main eventer. I've tried and I've booked... and he briefly got into their. Then Scythe and BB Colossus both surpassed him, then Logan Wolfsbaine. Really thought he could be another top level face for me, but it'd appear it's just not quite in him. All well, he's still a valuable member of the roster who can dominate my midcard about as long as he'd like.

Money is tight after hitting Cult with the Industry and Economy both low (but rising). Thankfully I had a couple million saved up and it looks like the bleeding is slowing, even with me finally raising production values to prevent myself from losing my TV deal.

But the most important news of all... is that Man Mountain Cahill has just turned 49 years old. And guys... he's still not in decline. He's still not in decline!!! Sadly, the aforementioned financial strain means he's not currently involved in any major stories and is just making sporadic appearances to remind everyone what a bad-ass he is, but... but maybe I should start working towards him getting another NYCW Empire title run. I mean, how often do we get to see successful main event title runs out of a 50 year old?

I love Annihilus (obviously) and wouldn't mind giving him a snazzy new render.

 6.
Can't finding anything via search, figured I'd ask here.

So I just ran my first show with a company I made in the 1997 C-Verse. Despite being an E- in the region I held it (Eastern Europe) and having a C rated show, I didn't gain any popularity from it. Anyone have any idea how that happened?

Obviously it's not a B show, and while the industry is on the lower side of things (E+) I don't think that's stopped me in the past from getting at least *some* popularity for a good show.

EDIT: Nevermind, the wrestling industry *is* tanked and I misread. Whelp, the more you know!

 7.

I am really sorry about your house man. Screw the mod having your house and presumably most things you own turned to ash is horrifying.

Yep, lost a lot. Thankfully, my girlfriend and I recently moved in together so a good portion of the most valuable stuff was safely at the new place.

With that said... yeah, probably about half of everything I own went up in the blaze, a lot of which I can never replace.

As for the mod, I'm continuing my work on it (it's too fun not to!). I wish it was done, but I'm pretty obsessively cleaning up a LOT of stuff for future workers. I've basically drawn the line at re-balancing the stats of each and every worker set to debut, because if I do that then this will never get released. Unless something is painfully off (which happens), I tend to leave it as is.

I'm also experimenting with using narratives to sometimes reflect the more dramatic changes in characters throughout the C-Verse, stuff like E.Z. Ryder making a change to Wiley Steinway as his main name (rather than just having the modern name set as an alter ego). Probably not something I'll fully flesh out for the initial release (alter egos are a solid band-aid), but just a fun experiment to mess with and maybe expand on in the more distant future. But at the moment, E.Z. Ryder is set to start going by Wiley Steinway and Gene Curtis is set to "retire" a day before the mysterious Enygma bursts onto the scene. But seeing as how none of that will even happen until the early 2000s...

Anyways, I'm still working on it folks. I just have a bad habit of sparing no detail when I have the chance.

 8. Just a quick update. Life's been happening as of late, up to and including my house burning down. No, literally, burned to the ground. Thanks lightning! HOWEVER, all the data is just fine and dandy as the laptop I had it saved on was with me and not in said inferno. Haven't gotten much work done, but now that I can actually breath again I'll be back in full swing soon. Sorry for the delay but... well... shit happens. A lot of shit, as is my case, but the mod is alive and well. :-)
 9.
Been plugging away some more NYCW. Might do a bigger update at some point when I'm not playing or working on my mod...

But there is one big thing of note worth sharing:

Man Mountain Cahill is now 48 years old.

...

And he's still not in time decline.

 10.

Yep. Between legal issues and the public backlash, I'd argue the promotion would be out of business within months.

I don't have the rest of the roster in my head right now, but if you're attached to the characters, maybe it'd be easiest to just move the promotion to Paris or somewhere else in Europe.

I went ahead and edited, so in WBW/Germany, they're not N@zis. Just a military officer gimmick, with The (not-Aryan in WBW) Barbarian as his bodyguard.

And in the pre-Internet days, only the most hardcore of fans would even be aware they might have less-than-savory gimmicks outside Germany. I think it works out, but I'm also not German so I could be wrong.

I'm still adding some new touches here and there as I go, but it's not the speediest process. Right now my biggest goal is trying to make sure future workers aren't debuting as the biggest stars in the world or with overly inflated stats, and trying to find workers who's stats have changed so dramatically they need to be re-worked entirely.

That, and bios. Maybe it's not needed for balance, but I can't resist giving more fleshed out biographies to a lot of folks.

It's not that the character itself offends me, but having it in a German promotion is so utterly unrealistic that it completely destroys the credibility and plausibility of the gameworld for me. You can put **** characters literally everywhere else in the world in the 70s but in Germany it would have been unthinkable (not to mention illegal) to have anything resembling a **** character in a wrestling show.

Since the promotion is supposed to have it's headquarters in West Berlin, what would make much more sense would be Soviet or Eastern German (DDR aka German Democratic Republic) main villains.

EDIT: Yay, censorship works. Nothing stopping Commandant Markus Maeir from just being a sadistic, ruthless officer in the Bundeswehr. Aryan Barbarian is a little trickier, since his facist gimmick is right there in the name. Could probably just call him "The Barbarian" when he's in Europe, leaving him (and Markus) free to use their N@zi gimmicks when they're NOT in WBW.

Because it's really WBW where they run into this problem. Outside of Germany in this period, guys working N@zi gimmicks would be universally despised but there wouldn't be any major legal ramifications.

As The Celt mentioned, in C-Verse cannon there's very, very little going on in Australia until recentish times, unfortunately. If I find the time I might see if I can't squeeze in a few workers down there, maybe add a couple of official graduates of Walleye Conklin's dojo on the continent. Going "But there was ACTUALLY a 'major' company down there a long time ago, it just wasn't ever mentioned before!" just isn't something I'm particularly comfortable with.

I'll take those two off the master list of "have no renders at all". Thanks, paul.

So got a lot of the "little stuff" done while I was procrastinating the "final sweep"... figureheads, gimmicks, imported alter egos from 16 and 97 where it seemed like a nice addition, bunch of other minor crap that needed to be done.

But now I'm knee-deep in cleaning up the workers as fully as possible. Body sizes/types, making sure default gimmicks are assigned (especially since that's actually important now), making sure random workers aren't debuting with D overness (lookin' at you, Big Daddy Horne)... and my personal favorite? Re-writing biographies! A LOT of workers in the old data, future workers in particular, were pretty lacking in that department. Lot of guys with just one or two sentence blurbs that amount to "Their name is X and they are rookies". And I have to say, fleshing that out, creating some backgrounds for some folks... it's really fun. In addition, I'm also whipping up a few more alter egos where it's either appropriate. Or fun. I mean, I didn't have to give Karl Jackson eight alter egos (so far), each more terrible than the last... but I did.

It's also a lengthy process, but in good part only because I'm taking my time to have some fun with it. Still, it's moving along. After this there's only a few things left. Gonna clean up potential owners/bookers since so much has changed there since 2010 (and is a step that just sprung to my head the other day... which seems to happen frequently), clean up tag team, relationship, and broadcaster files (which should all pretty quick easy in the greater scheme), still need to add those workers I want... guess there's the FAG thing to handle if I can. Few little other bits, and probably some huge task that I haven't even thought of yet.

 16.
I've now booked (almost) three years of NYCW, and things are looking pretty swell. Hit Regional a long time ago, and now I'm running weekly shows as we build towards a TV deal first, and then aim for Cult after that, and I should be less than a year away from that TV deal with East Coast Today. Roster turnover in the first couple of years was pretty high, with thefts and retirements opening the door for lots of new talent (and the rise of new stars). Speaking of my roster... this is what it looks like as of November 2018!

Main Event

American Patriot

Man Mountain Cahill

Rayne Man

Texas Pete

Ernest Youngman

Upper Midcard

Animal Harker

Marv Statler

Andrew Harper

Tennessee William

The Silencer

Midcard

Logan Wolfsbaine

Riley McManus

Howlin' Mad Mort

Whitehorse Whittaker

Xavi Ferrara

Conner Threepwood

Crockett Tubbs

Dean Waldorf

Geoff Borne

Lower Midcard

Steel

Devastating Don

The New York Doll

Opener

Brutus Milano

Freedom Eagle

Philipe LaGrenier

Enhancement Talent

Hawkeye Calhoun

Non-Wrestlers

Larry Vessey (Road Agent/Owner)

Steve Flash (Road Agent/User Character)

Cheerleader Nicki (Manager, managing The Ring Generals)

Duke Hazzard (Manager, managing Texas Pete)

Ernie Turner (Colour Commentator)

Fern Hathaway (Manager, managing Animal Harker)

Jez McArthur (Referee)

Rock Downpour (Announcer)

Venus Angeletti (Manager, managing Rayne Man)

*Heels, Faces

Tag Teams

Borne To Riot (Geoff Borne and The New York Doll)

Brooklyn's Finest (Freedom Eagle and Hawkeye Calhoun)

Texas Pete & Man Mountain Cahill

The Boys From The Yukon (Howlin' Mad Mort and Whitehorse Whittaker)

The Bronx Brawlers (Brutus Milano and Devastating Don)

The Fighting Irish (Crockett Tubbs and Conner Threepwood)

The Next Big Things (Xavi Ferrara and Steel)

The Ring Generals (Marv Statler and Dead Waldorf)

Titles

NYCW Empire: Texas Pete

NYCW Tri-State Regional: Rayne Man

NYCW Tag Team: The Boys From The Yukon

NYCW Sam Keith Classic (latest winners): Texas Pete & Man Mountain Cahill

NYCW Rip Chord Invitational (latest winners): yet to be held by NYCW

Current Storylines:

Earlier this year NYCW's biggest star, Bulldozer Brandon Smith, was cheated out of a rematch after losing the NYCW Empire title to Texas Pete in less than fair fashion. Finally, Smith put his career on the line in order to force Pete to finally face him again... a gamble that turned disastrous thanks to the interference of Pete's manager, Duke Hazzard. Cheated again, Bulldozer Brandon Smith was taunted out of the arena by Pete and Hazzard, who ordered security to escort him out. BBS hasn't been since ever since...

By pure coincidence, the masked "American Patriot" debuted by confronting Man Mountain Cahill, one of the top heel's in the company and arguably one of the biggest enemies ever of the retired Bulldozer Brandon Smith. Apparently looking to establish himself instantly at the top of the card, the incredulous rookie Patriot has been making Cahill's life hell, harassing him at every turn, constantly calling him out for his un-patriotic cowardice, and ruining the Man Mountain's attempts to beat up and bully smaller workers after matches or backstage. The battle still rages on, with the American Patriot agreeing to unmask should Man Mountain Cahill ever manage to pin him.

With Bulldozer Brandon Smith gone to wrestling Valhalla, NYCW needed a new good guy to root for: enter Ernest Youngman, who made his first appearance in NYCW at the start of 2018, a few short months after the closure of PSW. A former, somewhat reluctant, ally of Bulldozer Brandon Smith against the forces of evil in NYCW, Youngman managed to win number one contendership over Man Mountain Cahill (thanks to the American Patriot wrestling a chair from Cahill's hands!). He's been locked in battle with Texas Pete, and Duke Hazzard, ever since. Nearly every night sees the two coming to blows, while Hazzard attempts to weasel and scheme a way to keep his client safe from Youngman's challenge... a strategy that seems to be annoying Texas Pete, as the big Texan seems happy to face an opponent nearly as tough as he is.

Rayne Man is the "rayning" NYCW Tri-State Regional champion, having defeated Andrew Harper after a feud that many NYCW fans say legitimately reminded them of the 1970s. The next challenger for "Mr. Old School", the New England native Rayne Man? Why, a cheating Southerner of course! In a battle straight out of the TWL playbook, the good looking good guy Rayne Man (and his beautiful but otherwise mostly useless manager, Venus Angeletti) must now face Tennessee William, a man who's heelish tactics are known all across NYCW and even costed him his longtime friendship with Animal Harker. Can Rayne Man's honest, old school style that the NYCW fans adore so much resist the underhanded tactics of William? Only time will tell...

Not one, but TWO tag teams established themselves as legitimate contenders for the NYCW Tag Team titles! Long time champions, and surprising break-out stars, The Fighting Irish managed to shock many with a title win over The Ring Generals (a match hailed by many as one of the best in NYCW in recent memory) were looking for contenders, but two teams emerged: The Boys From The Yukon and The Next Big Things. The Canadian duo, not afraid of bludgeoning people with freshly cut Canadian lumber, managed to get their title match first and won it thanks to a 2x4 shot to Crockett Tubb's head. Things are just getting heated, with The Fighting Irish looking for their rematch while The Next Big Things claim they're being robbed of their rightful shot...

The Silencer, NYCW's self-appointed vigilante and "silencer" of cheating, has been a living nightmare for the company's villains since his debut. Brutal, powerful, skilled, and remorseless, The Silencer has made many a heel pay a painful price with ruthless, military effeciency for such things as attacking opponents after a match or using their feet for leverage on the ropes to secure a pinfall. The recnen targets for his brand of unique justice are Andrew Harper, Geoff Borne, and The New York Doll, the trio of which have banded together to form a temporary alliance to try and stop The Silencer once and for all...

Interesting Notes

Findlay O'Farraday has had two, separate stints with NYCW. He was first signed to a Written deal by GCG, but they went out of business and I brought him back... for maybe half a year at most, before PGHW came calling and he took another written deal with them.

Rayne Man's success was really unanticipated: I figured he'd be a good midcarder, and now (despite having lower overness than a few workers lower on the card) he's auto-pushing to the Main Event. Once his ring-rust was gone he started putting on some of the best matches of every show and his entertainment skills have improved rapidly (which he was already getting good angles thanks to Venus Angeletti's help). But I've always liked Rayne (who I need to get a facepainted version of, he seems perfect), so I'm not complaining about it.

Speaking of Venus Angeletti, I originally brought her in just because she's cheap and I wanted to continue her partnership with Ernest Youngman... and it turned out she had terrible chemistry as her manager. Seeing as how it took less than a week for her to start dating The Silencer, and well... The Silencer... I instead opted to find a new use for her. Her pairing with Rayne Man has been simple but successful.

Three American companies have folded since I've started: PSW, GSW, and MAW. PSW was hostile to me, so I can't say I shed any tears when they went under. MAW fought hard to keep its doors open, straddling the red line as the American economy tanked. Tragically, Sam Keith passed away, which opened the door for Ed Monton (likely so he could work with his son, George Wolfe) to purchase MAW and give in an infusion of new cash. Turned out Monton's purchase only delayed the inevitable and MAW folded a year later.

To be more accurate, I bought out MAW. With me eyeing complete dominance of the East Coast as my strategy for NYCW, the infusion of free popularity in the Mid Atlantic was something I couldn't pass up. I took the Sam Keith Classic and Rip Chord Invitational Tournament shows+titles so that they can continue, and most of their roster now gets to regularly appear on my shows when I need to hire local talent. Heck, a number of them are shortlisted and near the front of the line for whenever I need to bring in some new faces.

Texas Pete has made great strides in defeating his personal demons, part of why I rewarded him with a NYCW Empire title run. After showing up too drunk to work, I fined him and sent him home... he thanked me for confronting him over his issues and, a year and a half later, he hasn't been obviously drunk or high in a match ever since. Not only that, but he finally dropped the beer gut while cutting weight down to Heavyweight (went from Flabby to Average body), which gave his Star Quality and Sex Appeal a small boost.

Seriously, The Silencer!!! A shame he started his career so late in life, but he more than makes up for it. Talked him into adding more muscle, pushing him up to A* Menace (BWHAHAHAHAHAHA), and he always delivers in-ring. His lengthy run with the previously stagnant NYCW Tri-State Regional title saw it's prestige rocket up from a D to a C+ thanks to the consistent high quality of his defenses. One of the absolute best fits for the entire company I've found and it's probably only a matter of time until I pull the trigger to push him to the top of the card. Also absolutely no one refuses to lose to him, which is good because Geoff Borne had a bit of an ego and wasn't otherwise happy to drop the Tri-State title to anyone.

Crockett Tubbs better send both myself and Conner Threepwood "thank you" cards every Christmas for bringing in Threepwood. Despite my efforts to keep him strong, Tubbs perpetually under-performed and soon found himself directionless in the company. I seriously considered just using him to put other people over until his contract expired, but with my plans to break up The Southern Stars (my only over face tag team at the time) and the roster in need to fill even more holes, I decided to roll the dice with Conner Threepwood and re-uniting The Fighting Irish. The re-united team have been a huge success, putting Tubbs back on the map while Threepwood has gone on to establish himself as one of the company's strongest performers. At this point I really love the idea of this one day turning into a major long running feud between The Fighting Irish and The Ring Generals ala Edge n' Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz.

I really want to get to Cult mostly so I can sign new guys to be my new jobbers. I like most of my roster and would love to give Brutus Milano, Freedom Eagle, and Philipe LaGrenier all some pushes at some point, but there's not really anyone I'm super comfortable sliding down to jobber status to make that happen at the moment. But hey, they're time will come if they're patient. Hawkeye Calhoun, however, needs to do some serious improvement still if I'm ever going to do more than leave him as an opening act comedy jobber who I give occasional pity wins over local talent.

My Favorite Thing of All In This Game: Man Mountain Cahill. Cahill went "out of shape" pretty early in the game (literally the day after I plopped the Empire title on him thanks to Roger Cage bailing for USPW and everyone else either on the verge of retirement or a raging alcholic... Pete...), changing his body type from a respectable "bulky" to a less-than-flattering "obese". So, now we've established that Cahill got lazy is now just a big, fat blob lumbering around the ring. He's now a big, fat blob that is 47 years old, yet somehow, miraculously, not yet in time decline!!! I didn't even think it was possible for someone that old to not hit decline yet, but he's pulled it off. This both amuses and delights me, because not only is it hilarious having a big fat guy on the shallow end of his 40s still stomping around the ring and actually putting on solid performances, but with so many thefts/retirements at the top of the card it's been a real blessing to have someone, anyone, who is over and not having his grade tank due to time decline. Seeing as how he'll now be able to wrestle into his 50s (even if decline starts at 48) before decline starts to really hurt his grades, part of me just wants to let him wrestle for as long as he wants. Because how often do you get to book an old, fat guy with Menace to burn? Not often enough, if you're me.

 17. Importing is done. The database currently stands at 3443 workers total, though that total is likely to change as I already have a plans to add in a handful more future workers to debut in the 80s, and I'm bound to find out I have a duplicate or two, or I outright missed someone somehow.
 18.
Project "Gotta Import Em' All!" continues, with now everything except Australia done.

That, any any other future workers Derek may have sneaked into the 1997 mod. I found a couple, no clue if there's more.

THEN I can start cleaning those guys up (body sizes/types, make sure they're "proper" for debut, give em' home locations where appropriate, check default gimmicks, ect), import some relationships that belong, tag teams... all that. And honestly, that's the last BIG project left. A lot of little stuff to do, too, like tweaking gimmicks to mostly match up with the default data like I want, give FAG it's overhaul, and probably try to balance out the production setting for companies.

Still, I'm feeling pretty good about progress so far.

 19. I'm guessing pretty hard with the stats, honestly. The only worker I feel doesn't look like a rookie at debut is The Hype, but he's meant to look pretty awesome. And he still got rolled back a bit. But hey, USA is (almost) done! Then on to importing... Mexico? Might as well get Mexico out of the way.

I'm only human, so I'm bound to miss someone or have a multiple of someone without realizing it. But those instances should be incredibly rare and easy to fix if identified.

I'm currently using the versions on the left for the Streets family, though the other is in my pictures as alts.

 22.
Alright, fun time is over. Couldn't resist the itch to book some NYCW the last couple of days for the first time in well over a month, but back to it.

As far as I can tell, ALL workers for Japan, UK, and Europe to ever exist in the C-Verse, be it 2016 or 1997, are now in the database.

Even found some Japanese workers in the 2016 data who are meant to be active in the late 70s and on into the 80s, and thanks to Shinsuke I've even snagged them some renders (so they don't look like old men when they debut at 21).

 23.
Digging through the 97 database while working on 77, contemplating starting a game there for when I need a breather from modding...

And I see there's a company in the files call "ALPHA".

Based in Norway.

That focuses on musclebound brutes being FREAKIN' ALPHA BABY, YEAH!!! Stuff like flexing and fighting marine life.

...

I love you, Derek.
