  1. Christ, TNA now has Mr. Anderson AND Scott Steiner? AND OLD MAN NASH WON'T BE SUCKING UP THEIR SHOWS?! Damnit, now I HAVE to watch. Curses! Seriously, Scott Steiner can make the absolutely worst segments golden. Loved the "I'm here to kick your ass... I'm here to kill all your asses... HAH!?!" God bless him.
  2. Also, I know how it feels to hate the Steelers. Always a bitter rivalry between them and the Oilers way back in the day, it felt like. Can't say I hate them these days, though, as I respect the talent on their team, not to mention Mike Tomlin seems like an excellent coach. As for Big Ben, well... yeah, even if he didn't actually break any laws, he's still a bit of a douchebag. He's the anti-Kuhn, if you will.
  3. Well, what can ya say? Big Ben just forced his way in... to the Super Bowl. ... I'm sorry, I know how wrong that is, and I apologize profusely. But, seriously, go Packers. They're one of the three teams that, under almost no circumstances, would I never stop loving (others being the Texans and the Rams). Great organization that tends to have great people in it. Considering how many injuries they've had to overcome just to get into the playoffs, I'm both amazed and rather chipper to see them fight their way into the biggest game of the year. Also, they have John Kuhn. Kuhn is awesome, and that can't be argued. That game against the Giants towards the end of the regular season was surreal, with the fans calling for the freakin' fullback of all people to get the ball before it was even snapped. That, and from what I understand he's a truly amazing, down to earth person off the field, which is where part of his "blue collar folk hero" reputation comes from. Finally, have any of yall watched Aaron Rodgers being interviewed? Guy cracks me up with his mannerisms. Go Pack go.
  4. Now now, anyone who has lived down here in Texas will tell you there's plenty of folks of Mexican heritage who have relatively light skin. Clearly, Juan Cena is such an individual.
  5. This. I think Orton is better than he used to be, but I still don't care much for him. He's still a weird looking guy who couldn't cut an entertaining promo to save his life. Blandy is still Blandy, make no mistake about it. I'll happily continue to mark out for Sheamus and Wade Barrett in the upper levels of the card, thank you very much.
  6. I was about to say... it's just like TEW! Jerry isn't as athletic as he used to be, can't do all the moves he use to... but he has excellent performance skills, because you don't lose those with age. Good bout out of a 61 year old, though deep down I was hoping to see the piledriver through a table! Sadly, they didn't even tease it. Oh... and insert a random "I <3 Sheamus" comment here.
  7. Agreed. Those two work very well together. And all hail the king!!!!
  8. Isn't Punk only out of action for about three months? Personally, I think the best booking here is to let Jerry put up a good fight, but lose. You enter Arquette territory when your champ loses to a 61 year old man.
  9. Oh well... time for Sheamus to even up the feud! And did y'all here it? CM Punk, the first commentator in over a decade to remind us Mabel won KotR!!!!
  10. Did they seriously just job the awesome duo of Gabriel and Slater to the team of jobber and fat jobber?
  11. Wow. Excellent match. Del Rio really showed he can go with Bryan.
  12. Maybe because you couldn't fill a thimble with Rhodes's charisma?
  13. <p>I think the problem is they're over-stylized. It's all in the direction of, say, the Bills current jerseys and those are the hands down ugliest uniforms in the league right now.</p><p> </p><p> And the Jags one looks like something either a successful pimp or cheap hooker would wear.</p>

  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Hyde Hill" data-cite="Hyde Hill" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>It's either this, with Adamle or Coach being a good patsy, or it's Cole or <strong>Trips</strong> imho.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I think this is the best route. Triple H is a natural, and glorious, heel. It'd fit the "major heel turn" rumours. He has reasons to not like Bret Hart. He's in a believable position to have power in the company. And, most importantly, it'd rock. It would make for one HELL of a return for him. A veteran of the company finally showing back up to flaunt his power and put all these young upstarts back in line, I like it.</p><p> </p><p> Cole is my second choice, but... it'd just be too obvious. I'd rather see him be a stooge for HHH, I think that'd be fun to watch.</p>
  16. <p>I'm just gonna say it: best RAW I've seen in ages. I thought it'd be just some silly crap to basically exploit the legends for three hours, but... I was impressed. Some good matches, Nexus is as entertaining as ever, Kozlov and Santino have GREAT chemistry as a team (not to mention the singing of the Soviet national anthem!!!), Tony Atlas cracked me up, gotta good laugh out of Mae Young...</p><p> </p><p> And the Cole/JR/King dynamic was golden. Pure freakin' gold. You can't put a price on the look on Cole's face while JR and the King ignored him. Heck, Cole is an excellent heel.</p><p> </p><p> Again, great episode of RAW. The matches were given some proper attention, the angles were entertaining, and now I want to actually watch Survivor Series. WWE has really started to actually put some effort into the writing lately, me thinks. If nothing else, the Nexus storyline has been a good watch from the start.</p><p> </p><p> Oh, and Alberto Del Rio. Future champ, calling it now.</p>
  17. Yes. His look alone (especially when he actually grows out the beard!) should make him a star.
  18. Alright, I'm digging this so far. Tony Atlas just cracked me up with that randomness. How could Rocky Johnson not like the skin on the chicken? That's the best part!
  19. I started Roddy White tonight. Figured, even injured, he's a pretty good WR. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

But the Packers are a poor example. That would probably never happen. The Packers are publically traded and I'd have to think the stockholders would shut it down as many of them are also local fans.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Part of the reason (and argueably the biggest) for them being publically traded is just that: to make sure the Packers never leave Green Bay. It's not exactly what even remotely resembles an almost average sized market, so something had to be done to keep that little piece of history alive.</p>
