1. Agreed. I don't know where people got the idea that good wrestler=zany moveset. Psychology, selling, being able to connect to the crowd... those are the real keys, imo. A varied moveset is just icing if you've got it, but if I have to choose I'll go with the guy who can tell a story in the ring over the one who just knows how to do a bunch of moves. And yes, some guys can do both, but they're a pretty rare breed... and that's before you weed out those who are hopelessly unmarketable. John Cena may only have half a dozen moves in his arsenal, but he: 1. Has the look. 2. Can connect with the crowd. 3. Can tell a story in the ring (and it's not his fault the story is booked 98% of the time to be "John Cena is god".) Andre the Giant couldn't do much more than a body slam and some pretty basic holds... but he's still 500x the wrestler a lot of indie guys today who pull out all kinds of crazy dives and suplexes, because the man knew how to work the crowd and tell a story in the ring. Don't get me wrong, I loved Dean Malenko, but having a thousand different holds doesn't make a guy the face of a company, not alone at least. The man was an in-ring beast, but you'd go out of business if you were a WWE sized company and tried to make your main event nothing but Dean Malenkos. And a good point by consortium11: "big moves" lose their impact if you make them over abundant. I remember an e-fed wrestler in a fed I was in a few years back, who's base moveset was basically nothing but the most ridiculous, over the top moves that exist in wrestling. His worker was designed to start off the match hitting Death Valley Drivers, 450 Splashes, Top Rope Samoan Drops, Tombstone Piledrivers, Burning Hammers (seriously, the Burning Hammer was one of his "base" moves), the GTS... basically a massive list of finishing moves. His actual finishers were things the Smackdown! create-a-finisher stuff would've likely been unable to replicate, as they were ultra-convoluted and over the top. The worst part being, the guy was super serious about it. His character wasn't some kind of parody or in-joke towards the indies, he was legitimately some tard who thought it was cool if his e-fed wrestler busted out with Burning Hammers like they were arm drags (and the character itself was basically very poorly written Heath Ledger Joker fanfiction). He even wrote matches this way (until the fed stopped letting him). Every move ended up being a top rope/off the cage suplex/dive/drop through tables and barbed wire, followed by a kick out. I've seen a drunken Sandman show more psychology. Though it was fun when I got the honor to write my match-up with him, and I used his legit, listed moveset and had him hit a bunch of his "base" moves on my character... and the KICK OUT WITH AUTHORITY BAW GAWHD before the one count. Sorry for the tangent, but the idea of "BAWH GaWD CRAZY MOVES AND KICK OUTS!!!" reminded me of him. His character sucked, he sucked, and if he ever reads this then let him know I'm fully honest about it all.
2. I'm actually watching Main Event... guess I have a serious wrestling itch this last month or so. Good match between Ryback and Cesaro... but I love em' both. Yeah, the guy who books monsters and EWA loves the monster and the big Swiss guy, shocker, I know.
3. Murdering someone and killing someone are not synonymous. Accidentally killing someone or killing someone in self defense are not murder, for example. And as crownsy pointed out, you can legally be guilty of murder without actively killing them yourself. Like if you're part of a robbery that goes badly and one of your buddies shoots the clerk in the head, then all of you are capable of being charged for murder (at least here in the USA).
4. And those people suck. Don't get me wrong, I hated the Mass Effect 3 ending... but I still absolutely love the franchise. With that said, Bioware tried to "outsmart" the players and create an ending no one would see coming. **** that, Mass Effect has always had a foot in the door of cheesy Sci-Fi. It should've been like Doctor Who, and Shepherd saves the day while some big, sweeping music plays. It would've been completely predictable, but there's a reason certain tropes and cliches exist, and I'd rather have the super obvious "Well, Shep just sent the Reapers all straight to hell and then went on to bang some space hotties," ending than the star child. In fact, the moment someone said "star child", they should've known to scrap the whole thing.
5. Only problem with that, is it requires Randy Orton to touch a microphone. All the good booking in the world doesn't matter if "The World's Most Boring Man" Blandy Snorton forces me to change the channel because he's doing more than flopping around on the mat and trying to hit his lame DDT.
6. Having watched the last two weeks, I'll say I've enjoyed The Rock in this day and age. Is it quite the same? No. But he's still entertaining, and often one of the best parts of the show when he's on the microphone. I'm not expecting anything groundbreaking and new from him. I expect him to be the character he's famous for, and he delivers. I don't think I'm alone in saying I want to see The Rock feud with the current stars, not Dwayne Johnson's theoretical "new take" on The Rock. Sure, it's partially fueled by nostalgia, but at least The Rock is young enough that he still has more than that going for him.
7. Curses, the video is down due to copyright issues. Still, I made botchamania. Guess I can die happy now.
8. Yes, it was really me. It's incredibly amusing to read other forums and have people talking about it. I've seen everything from "lol", to "that guy is a moron, to another guy taking credit for it (though he may have been one of the other people who started after me and exaggerating a bit), to even a death threat. I'm gonna watch next week just to see if anyone else starts a Super Dragon chant in honor of my efforts this week.
9. While I'd love to see it, I don't think Punk retains. The WWE is going to want to give The Rock at least one last run before he goes back to Hollywood/back into retirement, and if you give him the belt now, with Cena winning the Rumble, you can build it up to them facing off at Wrestlemania (or, as I'd prefer, them and Punk in a triple threat). Not to mention The Rock essentially guaranteed his victory... which tends to mean that's what it's gonna be. It wasn't one of his semi-legendary "guaran-damn-tees", but it was close enough. In other news, seeing Orton do the job to Barrett in person was one of the happiest moments of my year so far. That, and my SU-PER DRA-GON obnoxiousness was loud enough to make people on other wrestling boards bitch.
10. So, just read a message board mentioning a "Super Dragon" chant on tonights RAW. I confess... it was me. EDIT: yep, watching a taped RAW from tonight... the Rock/Foley segment, you can hear "Super Dragon!". Im sorry everyone.
11. Worker: Jesus Chavez (his alt image) Change: A lucha mask. I plan to use him as a face, but really, feel free to be creative with it.
12. Love the Kurt Laramee, it makes me want to actually book him for once.
13. Gotta humble request: Can someone take the glory that is Anders Thunder and give him a good ol' fashion power n' paint look? The guy seems like he was made to be the Jim Force of Europe.
14. We'll see. I've actually discussed this heavily with Jman2k (who not only is a friend in real life, but a rabid fan of EWA), and I should tell anyone who followed the old diary that, should this come to fruition, to not expect essentially a continual of said old diary. It will be with EWA as it starts in 2013, and I won't be using ye olde editor to essentially "rebuild" that awesome roster. Some characters will return, some I hope will have a chance to return (For he is...), and others due to the shifting environment of the European wrestling scene may sadly never get that opportunity. While I love my vision of EWA as an over-the-top, wrestlecrap company that values the size of muscles over technical "skills", it did also reach those lofty heights in part to still making some efforts to have a little balance in kinds of talent smattered about the card. Then again, TEW 2013 claims to give even more weight to angles than ever before, so we'll see how things go as we go. With all of that said, it's still EWA. And I think the inclusions of African Earthquake, Captain Hero, and my personal favorite, WASA's own "The Big Game Hunter" Daniel Jones will go a long ways to making up for the absence of some of my other favorites like The Big Bad (unmasked and now 40... but not ruled out. Wouldn't be shocked to see him return.), Marat Khoklov (please release him, SWF!), and, well... you know... for the children.

17. Kudos to GruntMark for first showing me this picture. Its about as powerful of an image as you'll find from a WWE show: http://www.trbimg.com/img-504f22db/turbine/bal-eyewitness-account-of-jerry-lawler-s-heart-001/600 Also, I'm very glad to hear Lawler is doing OK and that was a heart attack, not a stroke like I feared. Obviously heart attacks are nothing to laugh at and one almost killed him last night (he really was lucky that it happened while he was at a WWE show, where they already have loads of medical staff and an ambulance on hand), but strokes are incredibly nasty business. I wish The King the best and a speedy recovery. To think, this was the first RAW I've sat down and watched in months. On more positive notes, I'm really impressed with the talent the WWE currently has on their roster, and that the longer show times have seen to translate into longer matches (yaaay!). I'm still waiting for them to put Danielson and Gabriel in the ring against each other for twenty minutes, but hey, they're doing honestly awesome from what I've seen as of late. Still need to get Orton back in the midcard where he belongs, though.
18. Well, good to hear Lawler is currently stable and breathing on his own. However, it sounds like they're checking him for a stroke. That's very worrying.
19. Aye, its incredibly eerie, and just a few matches ago Cole was still doing some commentary... the Sheamus-Otunga match, none. Really hope Lawler is okay.
20. Huh, looks like Jerry Lawler legitimately collapsed at ringside following his match (given that the WWE didn't mention anything about it until after he'd be taken by medical staff). The reports I've see are that he collapsed, went into convulsions, and lost consciousness.
21.

Yeah, that's a massively dick move by Capcom. Hopefully the backlash they'll get for this will indicate to people that customers won't stand for it. Capcom have gone down a hell of a lot in my estimations in recent times, and it's another blow to the Japanese gaming industry if they're going to start that kind of thing.

Agreed, dick move. I have zero problem with launch day DLC. Often times, the main game has gone gold and is ready for production long before it actually launches, which means there's a couple of months where they can keep working but whatever they work on won't be able to be added to the disc (and, if you buy it new, most companies give it for free).

But this is a step too far. I'm sorry, they weren't polishing it after the game went gold, they already had time to put everything on the disk and are now potentially charging people extra money to play something already on the disk. Of course, I have zero interest in the game in question, so meh.

22. Tebow is fun to watch, I'll give him that. And the thing is, with his running ability and the fact he actually seems to make smart reads, he'd be great if his accuracy wasn't so horrid. He looks like he knows where to put the ball, he just can't get it there. But hey, still fun to watch him just plow over defenders. Knew the moment he rolled out he was taking into the endzone... damned if I was right.
23. Just saw Mario Williams might be done for the year. Someday, the Texans will go an entire season without most of their star players getting seriously injured. Someday. Absolute shame, too... he was really starting to look like he was getting comfortable as an OLB and was looking once again like one of the most dominant defenders in the league.
24. I'll hold off most of my thoughts on Al Davis... But still a shame about him. He was an iconic part of the NFL, that much cannot be denied, and it'll never be quite the same again without him. Still no clue why he fired Tom Cable... Cable is a jackass, but he was the one finally righting the Raider's ship.
