<p>I'd say stay with a lighter background, if I remember correctly. someone told me that adam picked the blue background cause it worked well in the game and the renders looked better than on a dark background, sometimes dark backgrounds cant hurt a render.]</p><p> </p><p>

I picked your grey one by the way <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Poll will be open a week and by then I should have rendering with M4 down. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I dislike M4. I remember when I first started using him, I was like "Awesome. This is great!" but now I don't know. I think I was just so happy with how M3 looked with my lighting set-up. Although I've been purely rendering chicks for the past several months, so maybe I just haven't given the little bugger a chance.</p><p> </p><p> Anyway. Backgrounds. My theory on why the C-Verse one works well is that Blue isn't a colour typically found on the characters themselves. Black, Brown, Grey, Red, Yellow, Tan... These are colours found in hair/skin, so if the background's the same colour, they don't have the same POP, you know?</p><p> </p><p> I went with the light grey one. It's understated, but not too boring.</p>

<p>I'm staying out of the voting because I'm biased.. but as long as it's not that goddamned kyky (I can't escape it!) I'll be happy <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Question: Can Daz output the images in a transparent format (ala .PNG)? Coz I've noticed the halo effect going on with many renders in the other thread, which if that is the only way about it, you'll probably want a background that blends in best with it, so you're not doing too much cutting.</p>

<p>I have to agree, it looks best on the first grey background, CW's would look nice except for the black at the top, the render almosts disappears in the top part</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

yes daz lets you save with transparent png format files, thats what I use with my renders, it makes it easier when I have to cut them onto a background too <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>The great thing about CW's is because it actually looks as though it has a light source in it.. which means you could do your renders with a similar set up and they'd look very natural on it. Although I admit that with black hair the top part would be an issue.. bit late to mention now, but if the gradiant was on an angle that'd probably work better (and be a bit more flexible for lighting)</p><p> </p><p>

Also, can I suggest that what ever background we go with, we have a border around it? Just set up a .psd (or gimp equiv) with the border on the top layer, and then you can throw everything beneath it and not have to do any extra work.</p>

Honestly, with most of my work for TEW I just render directly onto the background in jpg form unless I absolutely have to do some postwork. It's just so much quicker. :D

That... would be quicker. I should figure out how to do that so I can FINALLY get all of my characters cut before I get bored or distracted by something shiny and wander off.

onoes, all my color varients are splitting the vote! :D

I think you should make a grey one like your other colors, I'm just curious how the renders would look on that :)

I hear you on that, I've been working on my mod for 3 years now and everytime I get something done, I get distracted and dont make it back for a few months :)

In DAZ:

Click the Edit dropdown, then select Backdrop. On the window that pops up, click the Image drop down, then select browse. Find your background of choice, click Open, and then Accept.

Makes things much easier when you aren't planning on doing postwork.

Easy as pie. Open up the background in your program of choice and hit "desaturate", voila! :D

Hue and saturation is how I go the other variants from the main SexyRed one I did originally (screw doing it from scratch)

I like CWs background. Although I may be slightly biased.

Gaiety aside though, usually in my cuts I have the worker behind the white border, as opposed to in front like what has been seen here. I guess it may be down to personal preference, but I think it just looks better with a border.

Yea I'm just having a bad day, I should have just thought about that. I will try it later and see how it looks :)

EDIT: I put 2 luchadores on the grey background, I think I still like Kobe's grey one better

Do you guys want me to do another poll between just the great bg, crayon blue bg and CW Saton bg or do you guys just want to go with Saton?

If anyone that has voted on something other than Saton/Grey Sky/Crayon Blue intends to change their vote then I'll make a new 3 day poll for the deciding of it.

Lemme know. ^_^

I say make a new one with the top 2-3 that way we can get the most desired by everyone.
