GCG: Global Honored Crown

Masaaki Okazaki, Koki Ishibashi. For storyline purposes maybe steal that stable wars idea that that now dead but good while it lasted diary of razorsedge used. It was quite effective in keeping tension/story within the ring and without angles.

Or possibly use a diary idea I had and have a backstage strugle to push the gajins out and make GCG all Japanese.

(OOC: World Heavyweight and World Heavyweight Tag Team and Junior titles are by me, edited them from different Reaper belts. I was really happy with the World and World Tag Team belts but for some reason I don't like the Junior ones. Might aswell make new ones when I get to it, I'm gonna be really busy for the next couple of days..)

From INSPIRE, Khoklov would be awesome. :p

From WLW, I'd have to say Mokuami Maita, as Thunder's already been in and the rest are either cruiserweights or Haru Kurofuji :p Hmm, KOBE would be cool I guess, he can wrestle a bit.

Nice job on the belts, they look pretty awesome... now hurry up with the damn show, man! :p

Samoan Destruction Inc.

Talk about intensity: Ikina & Tayama versus Samoan Destruction Inc. This was a great tag team match between the veteran teams for the GHC World Heavyweight Tag Team championships. Even though the match was just nine minutes long it featured a lot of fast paced action from all four, different sized wrestlers. Samoan Machine was the smallest one as he's only a middleweight whereas Shotaro Ikina is a light heavyweight and Rhino Umaga and Yasuhide Tayama are both heavyweights. Whenever Umaga was in, Tayama was tagged in and vice versa. The match broke down quickly when all four were in the ring attacking each other. Finally Umaga crashed and burned as he missed his Rhino Charge (Big Corner Spear) and Ikina hit the feared Ikina Driver (Jumping Double Underhook Facebuster) on Umaga for the one, two, three to retain the titles.

Result: Ikina & Tayama defeated Samoan Destruction Inc. in 9:10 when Shotaro Ikina defeated Rhino Umaga by pinfall with the Ikina Driver.

Ikina & Tayama make defence number 1 of their GHC World Heavyweight Tag Team titles.

Rating: C

Hanshiro: "A good showing from two of the better tag teams in our tag team division. Ikina & Tayama make a good team as they complete each other with their different size and wrestling style. The younger Tayama will surely benefit a lot from teaming up with Ikina in the long run. Especially after Ikina has retired and Tayama will be starting his singles career."

Takayuki 2000

Takayuki 2000 was pumped up for the match against Awesome Thunder as he felt he had defend the honor of GCG against the debuting Awesome Thunder from WLW. The two wrestlers had different styles that complimented each other surprisingly well and highlighted Takayuki's brawling skills and Thunder's athleticism. Troughout the match Takayuki turned the tables around with his patented knee strikes everytime Thunder got some momentum. The go-home sequence of the match was absolute blast where both wrestlers tried to hit their finishing moves on each other.

In the end Takayuki tried to hit the Third Degree Burn (Released German suplex) on Thunder who landed on his feet and dropkicked Takayuki straight into the corner. Takayuki's neck whiplashed violently when it hit the turnbuckle and Takayuki collapsed to the canvas while Awesome Thunder leaped to the turnbuckle and went for the Thunder Shock, his big Swandive Senton Bomb but just as he went for the cover the time limit expired, declaring a draw ending.

Result: Awesome Thunder drew with Takayuki 2000 in 30:00 when the time limit expired.

Grade: B-

Isei: "The two had good chemistry which took the match into another level of greatness. Surprisingly this was one of the best matches of the week and a great showing from both great talented wrestlers. The six time WLW Universal Champion and #12 of 2007 Power 100, Awesome Thunder would be a great addition to the GCG roster."

Shingen Miyzaki

The debut match of Hell Monkey. This was a great technical showing from both wrestlers but in the end Hell Monkey's all-around game and experience proved to be the key for the victory as Hell Monkey seemed to find a countermove to everything Miyazaki was trying to deliver. Miyazaki had Monket in the Ankle lock for a moment until he got into the ropes but that was one of the last attacks Miyazaki could get in the match as from there on Monkey took the control and finished Miyazaki with his Hell Fire Kick (Rolling scissors kick) and the Tumbling Monkey (Sky Twister Press) to get the pinfall.

Result: Hell Monkey defeated Shingen Miyazaki in 15:55 by pinfall with the Tumbling Monkey.

Grade: C

Katsuhiko: "Impressive debut from Monkey and a nice match from not-as-popular Miyazaki aswell. I'm sure that Miyazaki learned a thing or two from Hell Monkey in the match. Miyazaki will probably find more success in going after the Openweight championship or in the tag division, if only he would himself a good partner. Hell Monkey on the other hand can provide good matches with almost everybody on the roster so it'll be interesting to see where he positions himself in the long run, if he is brought back to GGC. This was Hell Monkey's first match of the three in the contract."

The debut match of "Dangerous" Tasuku Iesada, teaming up with Toshiharu Hyobanshi as they took on the team of Gakusha & Kuroki. The story in the match was Hyobanshi's and Iesada's suberb skills against the tag team experience of Gakusha & Kuroki. Kiminobu Kuroki was the weakest link in the match obviously altough he got decent offence done for both his opponents, Iesada and Hyobanshi. Gakusha had to save Kuroki time and time again from multiple attacks from the opposing team.

The end was an exciting one as Iesada had Kuroki in the Iesada Special, front choke sleeper while Hyobanshi was holding Gakusha at the ringside. However Kuroki didn't tap out since the 30 minute time limit expired before Kuroki would have given up.

Result: Tasuku Iesada and Toshiharu Hyobanshi drew with Gakusha & Kuroki in 30:00 when the time limit expired.

Grade: C+

Hanshiro: "The match was a solid showing from the four participants, however the team of Hyobanshi and Iesada was together for the first time and didn't obviously have the tag experience that would be needed for this calibre tag team match to be a showstealer. This was supposed to be better than the Cox vs. Furusawa before it but it just didn't live up to the expectations."

Okazawaya made his first defence of his HGC Openweight title of 2008 against "The Pit Bull" Namboku Makuda. This was an okay contest between the two midcarders. Okazawaya retained the title with the Hurricane Harumi, a 360' Tornado DDT.

Result: Harumi Okazawaya defeated Namboku Makuda in 12:41 by pinfall with a Hurricane Harumi.

Harumi Okazawaya makes defence number 1 of his GHC Openweight title.

Grade: D+

This one was surprisingly good and even match. Jack and Yasuhide seemed to have great chemistry which psyched them even more, adding to the quality of the match when both wrestlers went all out. An intense, physical match saw Marlowe and Tayama have a huge chopfest in the middle of it which resulted in both wrestlers having crimson red chests from the constant chops they had received from each other. The match ended with an impressive spot where Marlowe lifted Tayama up in the air with the Jungle Jack-Hammer, his Northern Lights Bomb finishing manouver.

Result: Jack Marlowe defeated Yasuhide Tayama in 18:49 by pinfall with a Jungle Jack-Jammer.

Grade: C

Katsuhiko: "This match stole the show on Thursday and therefore it was impossible for Kiminobu Kuroki and Eagle Kawasawa to follow up in the main event. Kuroki and Kawasawa had huge pressure on them after the match Marlowe and Tayama had. On top of that, just as Marlowe and Tayama had great chemistry between them, Kuroki and Kawasawa had a bad chemistry ,probably caused by the pressure, and thus the main event really bombed."

The proud GHC World Heavyweight champion took on the promising young superstar Takayuki 2000 in semi-main event of the show on Friday. Sadly Takayuki was off his game and just wasn't feeling it so Hall had to carry him troughtout the match which wasn't a problem in itself but it made the match somewhat boring as Hall was in control most of the match. Takayuki tried to survive as long as he could until Hall hit a devastating Pistol Whip Lariat to put an end to the match and put Takayuki away from his misery.

Result: Pistol Pete Hall defeated Takayuki 2000 in 23:22 by pinfall with a Pistol Whip Lariat.

Grade: C

Isei: "Takayuki is a talented guy so it was pretty awkward for him to have a bad match against Pistol Pete Hall. The match was above average but a huge disappontment considering that it was against the veteran Hall. Takayuki still has a lot to learn and a lot to improve before he can really establish himself as a serious threat in our main event scenario."

Hiroyasu Gakusha

'Representing GCG'

'Representing INSPIRE'

Tasuku Iesada

Our Main Event of Friday's show was the Triple Threat #1 Contenders match for the HGC World Heavyweight Championship. The winner will face the champion Pistol Pete Hall at the GCG: Parade Of Champions next week on Monday. This match featured an interesting setup between the different styles the three hugely popular wrestlers had: Gakusha was by far the most intense man in GGC who had incredible force behind his strikes, especially the different elbow strikes he had in his arsenal, not forgetting the Tiger suplexes and drivers he was famous for. Hyobanshi on the other hand was the strongest man in this contest but not as skillful of a wrestler than Iesada nor as intense striker as Hyobanshi. Iesada was by far the most gifted mat wrestler of all three, having huge arsenal of different locks and submissions in his moveset, especially the Iesada Specials which have given him most of his victories in INSPIRE.

The match started out with the GGC mainstays Hyobanshi and Gakusha attacking Iesada and eventually throwing him out of the ring. Hyobanshi quickly attacked Gakusha with his trademark Nova strikes (Mongolian chops), pummeling Gakusha down with each strike until Gakusha, one of the most intense striker in the business, returned the favour with his trademark Gakusha strikes (Elbow strikes), finishing the combo with the Roaring Gakusha strike, rolling elbow strike to the face of Hyobanshi! Just as Hyobanshi fell down Iesada came back to the ring and tried to finish Gakusha with the Iesada Special II, the feared Bodylock reverse sleeper of his but Gakusha grabbed Iesada and threw him to the mat with a snapmare...

... Fifteen minutes have passed and the match has slowed down and the wrestlers are doing very basic, low level moves on each other. Iesada is in control of Hyobanshi, keeping him on the groud with his suberb wrestling skills. Gakusha is on the ringside after being thrown out of the ring by a lariat from Hyobanshi. Iesada tries to lock in several submission holds but Hyobanshi keeps on breaking them with all his powers which frustrates Iesada who starts to kick Hyobanshi until he gets caught and taken down with a screw legwhip. Hyobanshi takes control momentarily, pummeling Iesada with heavy punches and chops and a DDT, which only gives him a two count. Gakusha comes in and grabs Hyobanshi from behind, going for a tiger suplex which Hyobanshi blocks for a couple times until Gakusha hits the roaring elbow strike to the back of the head of Hyobanshi and then grabs his arms again and hits the tiger suplex!

No, Iesada interrupts the count! Iesada grabs Gakusha from the behind and hits a half nelson suplex but Gakusha gets up immediatly and hits a brutal running elbow strike which knocks Iesada to the canvas with Gakusha on top of him!

Gakusha fights back and tries to hit the Gakusha Golden Bomb (Tiger Bomb) but Hyobanshi powers him out and throws him off with a back body drop! Gakusha lands on his back but quickly rises up to one knee while Hyobanshi is already bouncing off the ropes as he hits a low, diving lariat on Gakusha!

Two!! Gakusha kicks out! Iesada is back up and grabs Hyobanshi by the head and hits him with the Iesada Barrage, trademark attack of Iesada, a set of repeated knee lifths! Hyobanshi is wobbling after the strikes as Ieasada runs for the ropes and hits the finishing knee strike but Hyobanshi grabs him in mid-air and hits a throw down spinebuster! Hyobanshi can't capitalise though as he himself falls to the mat as the move took a lot out of him. All three men are down and out, the crowd starts chanting "Hyo-ban-shi!" as they were impressed of the last move. Gakusha is the first one to get up, waiting for the other two to get up. Hyobanshi and Iesada get up at the same time, Gakusha takes momentum from the ropes and tries to hit Hyobanshi who ducks! Gakusha and Iesada headbutt eachother accidentally while Hyobanshi runs for the ropes and bounces back, going for a lariat (Gakusha is closer to Hyobanshi while Iesada is behind of Gakusha). Gakusha ducks the lariat attempt and Iesada takes another strike from out of nowhere as Hyobanshi levels Iesada with the lariat, Iesada to the canvas from the impact!! Hyobanshi is confused since he was attempting to hit Gakusha, who is now behind of Hyobanshi! Gakusha hits another roaring elbow strike to the back of the head of Hyobanshi who drops out of the ring!! Gakusha grabs the semi-conscious Iesada and lifts him up for the Gakusha Golden Bomb!!

"And the winner and new #1 Contender is.. Gakusha Hiroyasuuuu!!"

Result: Hiroyasu Gakusha defeated Toshiharu Hyobanshi and Tasuku Iesada in 33:18 when Hiroyasu Gakusha defeated Tasuku Iesada by pinfall with a Gakusha Golden Bomb.

Grade: C+

Hanshiro: "This was a really disappointing main event for the show on Friday, probably due to the lack of triple threat matches in GGC before, the fans just didn't know how to react as the match was certainly different from the normal, traditional 1vs1 format. On the other hand we didn't want to risk a bad chemistry between the workers and we had three great contenders for the GHC World Heavyweight title so we ended up making it a triple threat. It just wasn't mean to be. Hiroyasu Gakusha will now face Pistol Pete Hall at the Parade Of Champions while Toshiharu Hyobanshi and Tasuku Iesada will have a singles match at the PPV."

I'm liking this one so far, as I'm a fan of GCG, and you're booking them in a very realistic way. Keep up the good work, FIN, though I would be surprised to see otherwise

Samoan Destruction Inc. VS Watson & Marlowe

This could be a toss up, but the Samoans are coming off a tag title shot, and Watson is unestablished in comparison.

GHC Openweight

Harumi Okazawaya © VS Ryonosuke Matsuki VS Mabuchi Furusawa VS Black Eagle

Unless Okazawaya is dropping the strap to Furusawa, I don't see a title change happening. Eagle is a bit of a dark horse to take it though.

GHC World Heavyweight Tag Team

Ikina & Tayama © VS Naga-Mori VS Coleman & Ferdinand

Again, don't see a title change happening in this one.

Shingen Miyazaki VS Jimmy Cox

I don't get the sense that you're planning a big time push for Miyazaki as a singles wrestler, so anything but Cox winning wouldn't make sense.

Masutaro Kataoka VS Kiminobu Kuroki

Ahh, Kuroki. Mildly talented, a complete jerk, but fairly established. The third trait is why I'm picking him to win, although if he were facing someone a bit higher up the card, I'd go the other way.

GHC Junior Heavyweight

Eagle Kawasawa VS Dark EAGLE VS Insane Machine VS Masked Cougar

With your creation of a junior heavyweight belt, I see Kawasawa winning it, as he's the only one out of the four who's under contract at this point.

Interpromotional Battle

Hell Monkey VS Takayuki 2000

Monkey is a great worker, but he isn't full time, and Takayuki is too skilled and worth too much to the company to afford a loss here.

Unfinished Business & Interpromotional Battle

Tasuku Iesada VS Toshiharu Hyobanshi

Depending on how long your talent trade for Iesada is good for, he might take the win here and either feud with Hyobanshi or challenge for the Heavyweight title, but otherwise Hyobanshi will take the win.

GHC World Heavyweight

Pistol Pete Hall © VS Hiroyasu Gakusha

Hall is a ring general in the truest sense, and quite skilled, but he's getting quite old, and he doesn't have the stamina to compete at the top level anymore. I see Gakusha taking the win, but I'm undecided on how long I see his reign lasting.

Samoan Destruction Inc. VS Watson & Marlowe

Watson screams bad ass to me, even comapred to Samoans.

GHC Openweight

Harumi Okazawaya © VS Ryonosuke Matsuki VS Mabuchi Furusawa VS Black Eagle

Eh, I don't like Ryonosuke much and Furusawa is still young. No chance for Black Eagle. More of a process of elimination than picking Harumi to win.

GHC World Heavyweight Tag Team

Ikina & Tayama © VS Naga-Mori VS Coleman & Ferdinand

Maybe you'll feel some loyality towards Naga-Mori from WEXXV? Probably not, haha, another retain.

Shingen Miyazaki VS Jimmy Cox

Cox is a star.

Masutaro Kataoka VS Kiminobu Kuroki

Kuroki is still young, he doesn't need this win now.

GHC Junior Heavyweight

Eagle Kawasawa VS Dark EAGLE VS Insane Machine VS Masked Cougar

I'll go with the vet to carry it around until the end of the tour.

Interpromotional Battle

Hell Monkey VS Takayuki 2000

I hate his name, but he's too good.

Unfinished Business & Interpromotional Battle

Tasuku Iesada VS Toshiharu Hyobanshi

Probably my second favorite worker in Japan.

Samoan Destruction Inc. VS Watson & Marlowe

Seems ya have founds the loop hole of all loop holes and Machine will be staying with you.... your a magician lol BUT since he is here then the Samoans win.

GHC Openweight

Harumi Okazawaya © VS Ryonosuke Matsuki VS Mabuchi Furusawa VS Black Eagle

Truth is Okazawaya isn't very skilled. Furusawa is the future and the owners son! It will be a good idea to go ahead and give the youngster a nice reign with a secondary strap now.

GHC World Heavyweight Tag Team

Ikina & Tayama © VS Naga-Mori VS Coleman & Ferdinand

I know you have a soft spot for Naga-Mori lol but no FIN no FIN no FIN!!! The champs retain because they are simply better and more over then the challengers.

Shingen Miyazaki VS Jimmy Cox

I dislike Cox but he is skilled and the name recognition put him over one of my favorites in this game.

Masutaro Kataoka VS Kiminobu Kuroki

You have double K lose to a ring rusted old Burning Hammer drop out and he will literally cry your ears off! Best just to keep him happy for now!

GHC Junior Heavyweight

Eagle Kawasawa VS Dark EAGLE VS Insane Machine VS Masked Cougar

Kawasawa could easily and probably should win this, but with your thoughts and rules giving visiting competitors titles I think the Dark EAGLE is the victor and the best choice out of the 4.

Interpromotional Battle

Hell Monkey VS Takayuki 2000

Monkey is one of my fav's but 2000 needs a win and his momunentum deserves one.

Unfinished Business & Interpromotional Battle

Tasuku Iesada VS Toshiharu Hyobanshi

Hyobanshi shows his guile and why he is one of the top stars of the Golden Canvas.

GHC World Heavyweight

Pistol Pete Hall © VS Hiroyasu Gakusha

Gakusha could easily win this and the fact that grades are awarded to the best matches on the card and it is something we all try to gain then he should win this! But the great Pistol Pete losing the strap already is a crime. But one I admit I have committed. lol

Sunday, Week 1, January 2008

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/GCG/SamoanB.jpg

Samoan Machine signs with BHOTWG

The rumours were true afterall. The incredibly talented 27 year old Samoan native signed with BHOTWG today and will surely get a chance to shine at the #3 promotion in the world today. The move will place him as an enhancement talent in his new promotion but he will surely rise up in the card quickly thanks to his ruthless, aggressive wrestling style which many GCG stars have felt so many times during his stay at the Golden Canvas Grappling. The signing will separate the feared Samoan Destruction Inc. for unspecified lenght of time which leaves Rhino Umaga all by himself in the GCG roster.

GCG wishes Bali So'oialo the best in his future endeavors and leaves the door open for a future comeback if the opportunity should arrive in the future.

Backstage reaction:

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/GCG/Hanshiro.jpg

As one would guess, Hanshiro Furusawa was more than irate because of the situation. Once again BHOTWG had stolen a great talent away from GCG, twisting the knife in the wound yet again. Truth to be told, it wasn't a surprise that Samoan Machine would get stolen from us, it was just a matter of time. He had all the ingredients to be a future hall of famer, a multi-time World champion.

But when someone leaves the company, it opens a new opportunity for someone else to shine. It'll be interesting to see who has the potential, the desire and the dedication to step up and rise up in the rankings in GCG.

Before I get my predictions in a few thoughts on your latest project ?

* Is the CGC one dead already ? :p To be honest I feel you are alot more comfortable with Japan, as your best diaries have been the ones from the orient.

* I'm loving the format, you've got the highlight's TV package idea pretty much spot on.

Samoan Destruction Inc. VS Watson & Marlowe

Unless Samoan Money Chaser signed for BHOTWG after you had booked the show, I will stump for Watson & Marlowe to get the win here.

GHC Openweight

Harumi Okazawaya © VS Ryonosuke Matsuki VS Mabuchi Furusawa VS Black Eagle

I feel this belt is about show-casing the 'future' of GCG and Okazawaya is hardlu the future. Toss up between two talented youngsters between SUKI and Furusawa and I feel the owners son has the edge.

GHC World Heavyweight Tag Team

Ikina & Tayama © VS Naga-Mori VS Coleman & Ferdinand

Tag champs retain, as the WEXVV duo do the job

Shingen Miyazaki VS Jimmy Cox

Tough call, as I feel Miyazaki could be a future main eventer for GCG but Cox is very well respected for a Gaijin and is already established near the top end of the GCG pecking order.

Masutaro Kataoka VS Kiminobu Kuroki

The veteran edges this one

GHC Junior Heavyweight

Eagle Kawasawa VS Dark EAGLE VS Insane Machine VS Masked Cougar

If a belt is going to fall in the hands of an 'outsider' this looks to be the most likely. Cougar I'll rule out as he's simply not over enough in Japan and as I said I'm feeling the outsider being crowned the champion, so lets rule out Kawasawa, who to be honest for someone who was apparently trained be the legendary Optimus isn't all that great. Dark EAGLE is certainly good enough but is getting old and is much more commited to WLW, so I'm going to stump for Insane Machine.

Interpromotional Battle

Hell Monkey VS Takayuki 2000

Takayuki is the future of GCG and he will retain the honour of GCG against the outsider.

Unfinished Business & Interpromotional Battle

Tasuku Iesada VS Toshiharu Hyobanshi

Time Limit Draw, to set up a 'must be a winner' stipulation re-match for next month.

GHC World Heavyweight

Pistol Pete Hall © VS Hiroyasu Gakusha

A title change here isn't entirely out the realms of possibillity, even probability but I see you continuing Pistol Pete's run with the belt for a little while longer. He will lose it by the end of the tour though.

It's not dead, I'm still going to continue it as I feel I have a great story to tell with the DeColts. And to that second comment, Yes, I agree 100%. My best diaries have been the from Japan. I feel the most comfortable in Japan as I feel the characters are.. Rough. Kind of. When you do a promotion from North America, the characters are the same (Read: Jacob Jett, Darryl Devine, etc). Whereas I can do a lot new in Japan and introduce dozens of wrestlers for the readers, some completely unknown talent no one has heard of.

* I'm loving the format, you've got the highlight's TV package idea pretty much spot on.

Well thank you. It's something different and it fits the touring schedule perfectly. I'm doing a new addition for it which is..

Samoan Destruction Inc. VS Watson & Marlowe

- This one, unfortunately for the booker, became obvious (and would've been obvious to anyone who's played a few games of TEW longer than a month anyway).

GHC Openweight

Harumi Okazawaya © VS Ryonosuke Matsuki VS Mabuchi Furusawa VS Black Eagle

-I can't see him losing the belt quite yet. Furusawa won't get pinned though. Probably the gaijin taking the fall.

GHC World Heavyweight Tag Team

Ikina & Tayama © VS Naga-Mori VS Coleman & Ferdinand

- The Coming Storm will hopefully pass soon ¬_¬ Coleman and Ferdinand are probably the least utilised workers in the world of dynasties, so...

Shingen Miyazaki VS Jimmy Cox

- Shinny's not rising THAT fast, surely?

Masutaro Kataoka VS Kiminobu Kuroki

His hair looks like brown modelling clay has been stuck on his head, but that makes him memorable at least. I can't remember who Kataoka is.

GHC Junior Heavyweight

Eagle Kawasawa VS Dark EAGLE VS Insane Machine VS Masked Cougar

- Wow, a match featuring absolutely no original GCG wrestlers for a GCG title ¬_¬ I'll go with the guy who's never been to Japan before, just for laughs.

Interpromotional Battle

Hell Monkey VS Takayuki 2000

- Because WLW is superior. As you'll soon find out :p

Unfinished Business & Interpromotional Battle

Tasuku Iesada VS Toshiharu Hyobanshi

- Because the Banshi is untouchable (except by Gakusha ¬_¬), and we can't have three visitors winning in a row.

GHC World Heavyweight

Pistol Pete Hall © VS Hiroyasu Gakusha

- Because if Hall loses, it's unlikely Banshi-san will get the title any time soon, which would make me a sad Panda Mask.

Altough a novel idea save it for the monthly prediction winner or something otherwise things could get messy and stifle the story you are trying to tell.

Altough a novel idea save it for the monthly prediction winner or something otherwise things could get messy and stifle the story you are trying to tell.

Or limit the amount of matches the readers will get to choose. I'm still weighing different options and I'm glad that you pointed that out. I'm trying to concentrate the diary mainly on the championships and thus the title matches will be the focal point of the writing. I want the belts and the title reigns mean something. It's always fun trying to create ways for the diary to become more interactive and reader-friendly. ;) I like the idea of a reader being able to request for a match to be seen on the show, like if someone really fancys a wrestlers who's not in the title scene right now but would still like to see him in action and stuff like that.

Btw I'm using WreSpi II's movesets as the basis for my match reports. Most of the moves the wrestlers do in the diary will be taken straight from their movelists if they have one. I will try capture the different wrestling styles, moves and skills as best as I can to create a unique yet realistic writing style. And even further, I'm paying close attention to the wrestlers actual skills in TEW08. Someone with a C in Power will not outpower a guy with A in Power, for example.

I'm having a blast writing the Parade Of Champions. I've been reading Tigerkinney's BHOTWG diary from start to finish and again, trying to learn and pay focus on how amazingly he writes his matches. Learning from the best. I'm really looking forward on taking my diary writing into a whole new level with this one.

Match #0

15 Minute Time Limit Tag Team

'Start With A Bang'

Samoan Destruction Inc.

VS

Watson & Marlowe

This was a great start to our PPV. The two extremely talented teams collided in what could be described in "animalistic" fight. All four men went all out from the early going but eventually the match broke down in Watson fighting Umaga and Marlowe fighting Samoan Machine. Eventually when Watson and Umaga were fighting on the outside, Marlowe countered Samoan Machine's Samoan Drop attempt into the Jungle Jack-Hammer, his Northern Lights Bomb finishing move for the one, two, three. After the match Samoan Machine left the ring last, greeting the fans with a slight bow to each side of the arena. It was clear to everyone that the samoan superstar was on his way to BHOTWG, he still put on a great match and the fans gave him the ovation he very well deserved.

Result: Watson & Marlowe defeated Samoan Destruction Inc. in 14.42 via pinfall with the Jungle Jack-Hammer.

Grade: C

Isei: "A good opener for our PPV indeed. With Samoan Machine leaving Rhino Umaga may focus on the Openweight championship or find himself another tag team partner. The situation with Watson & Marlowe is a bit more complicated. While they would make a great tag team champions, Marlowe seems to be more likely to be involved in the World Heavyweight championship scene. Watson instead could look for a younger partner or focus on the Openweight title. The future however looks good for all three superstars, no matter where they go."

Black Eagle

This was our first fourway match of the evening and did far better than the latter one, mostly due to the great talent involved in this one. Matsuki and Furusawa put on a good show, pairing against the high flyers from the early going until facing each other. Black Eagle crash and burned in attmept of New Jersey Turnpike as Furusawa pushed him off the turnbuckle. Furusawa himself was taken out with a vicious exploder suplex from Matsuki. The champion Okazawaya emerged from out of nowhere and connected with Hurricane Harumi, his springboard hurricanrana pin which got him the three count.

Result: Harumi Okazawaya defeated Ryonosuke Matsuki, Mabuchi Furusawa and Black Eagle in 8.16 via pinfall with the Hurricane Harumi.

Harumi Okazawaya makes defence number 2 of his GHC Openweight championship.

Grade: C-

Katsuhiko: "Okazawaya retained this time but with so many talented wrestlers on the roster around him his Openweight championship will surely be on every midcarders mind right now. Matsuki and Furusawa put on a nice effort and Black Eagle learned a thing or two in this one. Surprisingly good match from the young challengers."

Coleman & Ferdinand

The match will be contested under Tornado rules so all men are eligible during the whole match. The match is for one fall.

Naga-Mori and Coleman & Ferdinand quickly attacked the reigning champions and threw them out of the ring and then started to fight each other. The switching between the teams in ring continued wildly during the match which was something that the fans didn't like. This was, sadly, a bad attempt on creating something new. All three teams are able to provide a solid match in GCG but this just wasn't meant to be. In the end, after a bad match, the reigning champions retained with Ikina Driver on Mamoru Nagahama.

Result: Ikina & Tayama defeated Naga-Mori and Coleman & Ferdinand in 10.56 via pinfall with the Ikina Driver to Nagahama.

Ikina & Tayama make defence number 2 of their GHC World Heavyweight Tag Team titles.

Grade: D

Hanshiro: "Ikina & Tayama retained but for how long, nobody knows. The Tag Team titles are in the same situation as the Openweight title, there are a bunch of good tag teams in the roster right now, more than ready to compete for the tag titles."

15 Minute Time Limit Singles

'Rookie vs. The Veteran'

Shingen Miyazaki

VS

Jimmy Cox

Perhaps the surprise of the night since the match ended in a time limit draw when the time limit expired. Miyazaki had Cox and his Immortal Driver scouted well as he kept avoiding the devastating move during the whole match. Jimmy Cox was slightly disappointed of the results but offered a handshake which Miyazaki greeted proudly and the two posed together in the ring. Altough Miyazaki didn't win Cox, this was surely a "feather for his cap" sort of result he was looking for, trying to establish himself as a serious contender in GCG.

Result: Shingen Miyazaki drew with Jimmy Cox in 15.00 when the time limit expired.

Grade: C

Isei: "As good match as I expected from these two. The 15 minute time limit favoured Miyazaki as Cox would have surely won the match had the match not been for a 15 minute time limit. A good way to establish Miyazaki without him winning a main eventer calibre wrestlers as Cox, who after some refocusing could very well become a top contender for the HGC World heavyweight championship."

Masutaro Kataoka

VS

Kiminobu Kuroki

Kiminobu Kuroki picked up an impressive win over the veteran Kataoka.Kataoka got to taste the Kuroki Krush, the delayed Dangerous Brainbuster finishing move of Kuroki in just shortly after fifteen minutes and it got Kuroki the three count. Kataoka provided a nice match however he wasn't even close to finish Kuroki.

Result: Kiminobu Kuroki defeated Masutaro Kataoka in 15.51 via pinfall with the Kuroki Krush.

Grade: C-

Katsuhiko: "Kataoka is getting a bit old and doesn't have the same aura in him as Pistol Pete Hall has and thus will be a solid performer in our midcard division. However he could end up being the Openweight champion if he should face Okazawaya, who knows. Kataoka could provide a lot of needed performance into our Openweight matches should he win that title."

The crowd didn't know how to react to a fourway Junior match which featured only one GCG wrestler, Eagle Kawasawa. Sadly the whole match broke down and became too hard to follow when all wrestlers were all over the place with their dives, rana's and other aerials moves. Luckily Dark EAGLE ended the disastrous match with the Eagle Shock (Front Fisherman's suplex bomb) on Masked Cougar.

Result: Dark EAGLE defeated Eagle Kawasawa, Masked Cougar and Insane Machine in 9.21 via pinfall with the Eagle Shock on Masked Cougar.

Dark EAGLE wins the GHC Junior Heavyweight title.

Grade: D

Hanshiro: "Another terrible match due the fourway or maybe due to the style of the wrestlers. Wrestlers like Awesome Thunder and Hell Monkey can do very well inside the GCG ring due to their brawling and technical skills as this match proved that the aerial skills alone will not please the Golden Canvas fans. Dark EAGLE became the champion in the end, it was a safe choice to be honest. We may have perhaps focused too much on the cruiserweights in our Junior league. There are many great middleweights or smaller wrestlers who have great technical and brawling skills who could prodive better matches than our high flyers."

Takayuki 2000

After having a draw with Awesome Thunder earlier during the tour, Takayuki had a lot to prove going into the match. These two had a great match where they countered each others moves effectively, yet Hell Monkey had the advantage most of the time. Takayuki went for the Third Degree Burn, his released German Suplex throw but Hell Monkey dropped on his feet and hit a powerful front dropkick which sent Takayuki straight into the corner.

As Hell Monkey run towards Takayuki, he got thrown into the turnbuckle with the corner belly to belly suplex!!

Katsuhiko: "This was a great match from both men. Takayuki established himself as a vicios opportunistic and a threat to be reckoned with. He possible has the nastiest attacks in our main event right now as he utilises his knees extremely well, not to forget the devastating Third Degree Burn suplex or the Persian Deathlock."

Match #7

30 Minute Time Limit Singles

'Unfinished Business & Interpromotional Battle'

'Representing INSPIRE'

Tasuku Iesada

VS

'Representing GCG'

Toshiharu Hyobanshi

The whole thing started in the Triple Threat match for the #1 Contenders spot where Hiroyasu Gakusha beat the two which then lead to this match as both men have to urge to prove their superioity over the other. A small recap is shown for the viewers watching the PPV.

"Gakusha is the first one to get up, waiting for the other two to get up. Gakusha grabs the semi-conscious Iesada and lifts him up for the Gakusha Golden Bomb!!"

Toshiharu Hyobanshi comes out first to a good pop, looking confident. Tasuku Iesada's theme starts and the crowd erupts in cheers as the "Dangerous" steps in to the GCG ring. The reaction comes to no surprise as Iesada started his career in GCG and became hugely popular and on top of that he is consedered as one of the reliable and respected men in the business. As everyone knows Iesada was eventually stolen from GCG when BHOTWG signed him and for years to come Iesada was Burning Hammer's top guys until BHOTWG got to taste their own medicine when the "Rebellion" happened. The "Five Rebels": Kikkawa, Iesada, Hughes, Watson and Okazaki resigned from BHOTWG to create their own promotion, INSPIRE in 2006.

Hyobanshi is clearly upset of the reaction Ieasada received as the GCG pure blood just stares at Iesada across the ring. After the confetti and introductions the referee checks both men, Hyobanshi still hasn't taken his eyes away from Iesada. The bell finally rings and the match is on.

Hyobanshi starts off strong, connecting with a open hand slap from both sides, then a spinning backhand which Iesada ducks and responds with his patented Dojo kick, a roundhouse kick straight to the ribs of Hyobanshi! Hyobanshi stands up and roars for more, Iesada obeys and hits another hard kick to the ribs. Hyobanshi takes the strike and asks for more, this time Hyobanshi gets a hold of Iesada's leg and hits a big chop to the throat of Iesada!

Iesada falls down, Hyobanshi quickly comes closer but is taken down with a drop toe hold! Ieasada quickly uses his suberb wrestling skills and takes Hyobanshi's back as he goes for a quick finish with his patented Iesada Special II, the bodylock reverse sleeper! Hyobanshi uses his strenght and size as he gets up with Iesada on his back, backing up to the corner! Iesada gets crushed between the turnbuckle and Hyobanshi, who starts doing the Nova strikes, the mongolian chops he's noted for. After nearly ten chops Hyobanshi finishes the combo with a triple forearm blow! Iesada is reeling as Hyobanshi pushes him to the canvas, pinfall attempt!

One..

Two....

And attempt it is since Iesada gets up. Hyobanshi mounts "Dangerous" and hits couple of elbow strikes until Iesada rolls out and tries to secure an armbar! Hyobanshi startles and backs off and the two stand up whie the crowd approves with loud clapping!

The two begin circling the ring, looking for an opening. The two engage yet neither one gets the advantage. This continues for a while as neither men want to make that fatal mistake. Another locking of horns but the two just struggle in the middle, finally Hyobanshi pushing Iesada to the corner. Iesada raises his hands and so does Hyobanshi as a sign of respect, until Hyobanshi slaps Iesada with a hard slap across the face!

Iesada hits the Iesada Barrage, not being happy of the way Hyobanshi just suckerpunched him! The repeated knee lifts hit Hyobanshi's head time and time again until Hyobanshi gets a hold of Iesada's leg and pushes him away.

The two begin circling the ring again.

Another stalemate happens as they engage. Suddenly Hyobanshi runs towards Iesada with his Nova Burst, a quick short-range spear!!

But he rans straighly into Iesada Special!!

The feared Seated Front Choke Sleeper is tighly locked in!!

Hyobanshi tries to shake the lock off to no avail! His legs shake and hands try to just push Iesada away while "Dangerous" just adds the pressure! This is the exact thing Hyobanshi wanted to avoid in the first place.

Hyobanshi gets to his knees and presses himself up from the crowd momuntarily, with Iesada still holding on! Hyobanshi drops to the ground!

No, he's still fighting back! Hyobanshi slowly backs down, crawling backwards..

..

And reaches the ropes!!

Iesada releases the hold while Hyobanshi rolls out of the ring. Iesada follows him and goes trough the ropes onto the apron! Iesada connects with a running double axe handle smash from the apron!

Hyobanshi falls to the ground, Iesada quickly picks him up and sends him across the side of the ring into the guard rail! Iesada runs towards Hyobanshi but gets nailed down with a big boot! Both men fall down while the referee has reached the tencount and continues it (The limit is 20 in Japan)

Hyobanshi gets up. Iesada has rolled to his side.

Hyobanshi lifts Iesada up for the second time, now apparently going for his Nova Bomb Redux, a Sit-Out Suplex Crush!!

And ..

Iesada reverses it and slides behind of Hyobanshi!

HALF NELSON SUPLEX!!

Hyobanshi gets up immediatly!!

BRAINBUSTER to Iesada!!

Iesada gets up!!

LARIAT from both men!!

Both men fall down from the impact!!

The fans are absolutely loving the hard hitting action! A minute passes until both men are up, hurting and a bit exhausted. Hyobanshi goes for his Hyobanshi Face Plant, as he grabs Iesada by the head and drives it into his out stretched knee!

Iesada counters and takes down Hyobanshi! Elevated Leg Lock!!

However Hyobanshi quickly reaches the ropes as both men were near the ropes!

Hyobanshi gets up, Iesada goes for his Barrage again, Hyobanshi connects with a roaring chop! And again! And for the third time!!

Hyobanshi lifts Iesada up!!

NOVA BOMB!!

Hyobanshi connects with his Spinning Back Suplex Bomb!

*DING*

The time limit has expired!!

Iesada kicked out after the bell had rung. Hyobanshi gets up to his knees, not believing that he couldn't finish Iesada. So close yet so far.

Result: Toshiharu Hyobanshi drew with Tasuku Iesada in 30.00 when the time limit expired.

Grade: B

Hanshiro: "A great match which stole the show and a future battle will surely be ahead between the two as both men grave a decisive finish. Even though they didn't have good nor bad chemistry the two styles blended really well and provided some great spots where the wrestlers countered each others moves. This was a good match and put on a lot of pressure for Hall vs. Gakusha."

Match #8

Global Honored Crown World Heavyweight

60 Minute Time Limit Singles

''Parade Of A Champion''

''The Champion''

Pistol Pete Hall ©

VS

''The Challenger''

Hiroyasu Gakusha

Both competitors are greeted with cheers and chants as they come to the Golden Canvas ring. They are both loved equally, yet for different reasons. The fans have followed the GCG pure blood Gakusha for over a decade now and with each title he has won during those eleven years, the more the fans seem to love and respect him. Gakusha is the only Triple Crown champion in the history of GCG: He won the World Heavyweight Tag Team championship in 2004 with Kiminobu Kuroki, Openweight championship in 2005 and finally Gakusha captured the prestigious World Heavyweight championship in 2006, winning it from his mentor and ending the legendary four year reign of the legendary five time GHC World Heavyweight champion, Yoshifusa Maeda. Gakusha lost the World title to who other than Pistol Pete Hall in February of 2007, almost a year ago.

Pistol Pete Hall was a big name in the 1980's and arguably one of the best big men worker at the time altough he never won a title in any promotion. Hall retired in 1992 due to a knee injury but finally after thirteen years he came back in 2005, with a new burning inside of him, finally winning his first championship in his career as he captured the GHC World Heavyweight championship from Gakusha. Hall was a pioneer during his time as he established the "Western lariat", or should we say "Pistol Whip Lariat", which quickly became a feared and respected move. Hall still hasn't lost the power behind his signature move and so, still at 46 years old, he's a tough competitor who won't be beaten easily.

After the entrance ceremony as the confetti is being gathered from the ring, Gakusha does his usual warm-up, putting his hands together and twisting his wrists, while moving his head from side to side. Hall hands the championship to referee Nakada and removes his hat and vest.

The bell rings.

Gakusha looks humble as he steps forward. The big men meet at the center of the ring, when Gakusha extends his hand as a sign of respect towards Hall who doesn't hesitate in shaking Gakusha's hand. The crowd cheers as the two begin circling the ring, waiting for the first action to be taken. Finally the two engage in a collar and elbow position, and the struggle begins. A stalemate happens as the men are equally strong. Finally the first blows are exchanged, Hall with his heavy punches and Gakusha with his trademark elbows!

Hall blocks the elbow strike attempt from Gakusha and whips him into the ropes, hitting a nice shoulder tackle! Gakusha gets up quickly with a smile on his face as he orders Hall to run for the ropes and hit the move again. And Hall does, taking Gakusha down for the second time. Gakusha tells Hall to go for the ropes again, which he does, and as Hall bounces back Gakusha tries to dropkick the World champion who outsmarts Gakusha by holding onto the ropes!

Gakusha falls flat on his back and gives Hall the opportunity to hit the Triplet elbow drops. the three big elbow drops to the chest! Hall teases for a fourth drop but Gakusha rolls out of the way and all the way to the outside. Hall follows him and tries to whip him into the guard rail but Gakusha fights back and the two begin reversing each others whips when finally Gakusha throws Hall with an overhead belly to belly suplex!

Gakusha grabs Pete and throws him back into the ring but gets only a two count. Gakusha begins circling Hall around, kicking and stomping Hall body, finally pinpointing Hall's right arm, as Gakusha begins to drive his knee into it! Hall tries to kick Gakusha but to no avail until Gakusha goes for an arm bar! Hall rolls trough it, reversing it into a pinfall predicament!

One.....

Two.......

Gakusha releases the hold and kicks himself out of the position. Gakusha clubs Hall to the back and goes for the ropes, but gets taken down with a powerful tackle! Hall goes for the elbow drop but misses, Gakusha goes a knee drop but misses aswell! Both men are back in vertical base, Hall slightly favouring his arm.

The match continues as even for the next five minutes, with neither men getting the advantage until Gakusha gets the champion to the ground with an armbar and begins to work on the arm again. Hall reaches the ropes, Gakusha releases the hold and both men bounce off the ropes, only to collide in the middle of the ring by awkwardly headbutting each other. A really bad timing from both men which results in Gakusha getting busted open as he took the damage from the collision!

Hall begins to pinpoint the head as well as Gakusha pinpointed his arm, utilising a headlock into back elbows and back again maneuver. Hall lifts Gakusha up and takes him down with a pumphandle slam!!

Two!! Gakusha kicks out! Hall realises he's in total control of the match and does the Pistol Pete Lariat Signal by lowering the elbow pad of his right arm into his wrist! Hall begins to stretch his arm in a circle as the fans begin to roar!

Gakusha gets up, slowly, wiping off the blood from his face as it distracts his vision. Hall takes some momentum from the ropes!

PISTOL WHIP LARIAT!!

No, Gakusha counters it into a violent arm bar! Gakusha pulls Hall's arm with all his strenght, twisting it violently as back as he can! Hall grunts as he slowly moves towards the ring ropes! Finally Hall reaches the ropes, hitting them with his foot and Gakusha has to break the hold. Hall immediatly tends his arm with his other hand, aswell as trying to shake the pain and numbness away. Gakusha does not feel mercy as he begins to kick Hall into the already damaged arm, Hall answers with jumping up and punching Gakusha with a wild left hook out of nowhere! Gakusha falls to the mat!

The ringside staff, EMT's and wrestlers quickly enter the ring and tend both men. Hall gets some ice on his right arm while Gakusha just stares at the ceiling. Both men take their time while Hall's theme is playing on the background. Eventually Hall gets up first and grabs his championship title, waiting for Gakusha to get up. Kiminobu Kuroki and Takayuki 2000 help Gakusha in getting up. Gakusha staggers back to his feet while Hall comes forward and extends his hand. Gakusha stands on his own and takes few steps forward, favouring his neck and eventually shakes Hall's hand. The champion raises Gakusha's hand up and the two parade around the ring, with the fans chanting "Gakusha!" and "Pistol Pete!" after another as the PPV ends.

Result: Pistol Pete Hall defeated Hiroyasu Gakusha in 23:50 by pinfall with the Short Pistol Whip Lariat.

Pistol Pete Hall makes defence number 1 of his GHC World Heavyweight title.

Grade: C

(Bad Chemistry)

Isei: "A huge disappointed to be honest. Bad chemistry between the main eventers in our main event of the PPV for the GHC World Heavyweight championship. How unlucky. Thanks to the great Hyobanshi vs. Iesada and the Takayuki vs. Hell Monkey before it the PPV was still quite good with it's up's and down's. However the main event should have been better. The bad chemistry between Hall and Gakusha will probably mean that the two will not face each other in the near future. Gakusha was kept strong as a way to still keep him looking like a threat, someone to beat if you want to be seriously considered as a challenger for the GHC World champion Pistol Pete Hall."
