I listened really carefully, he bought the show, not the wrestlers not the brand, the show. meaning, that he could be the legitimate owner of the "show" and be licensing the talent and everything else from Vince, thus why the 'Bash' is still all three brands.

I wonder if Trump is trying to use his money to play wrestling booker. I can get him a sweet deal if he is. It's called TEW 08 and it's only $35.

Trump should fire JR again :p

Decent Raw, glad that Orton became champion again, I don't mind. The triple threat World title match however STOLE the show. Amazing spat between the three, and I thought for a moment Jeff would actually win it. Jericho/Rey was a great match too, and the rest was... meh.

Ted DiBiase is so bland when he speaks. Jesus. Hearing him on commentary was painful enough, they better re-think this "huge push at the end of the year" thing.

if Trump is paying to be on TV, "paying for RAW" then technically it is not a work. I am under no illusion that Vince Sold anything of real value to Trump. but these are two rich guys who love to throw their money around. Trump could very well have bought himself the right to make a couple booking decisions and pay for an Ad free show in order to get his mug on TV and live a dream.

(guess I am willing to buy into the story and see where it goes)

They've been trying to portray all three shows as seperate "entities" for longer than I care to think back to. As far as trump if he truly bought raw, vince would keep all the talent that has a wwf contract. Start yet another monday night show just to "put a competitor" out of business.

Surprise they dropped the ball again, 5 time champion my *** 4 and a quarter maybe. I agree with the above triple threat for smackdown's world title was the best match. 10 man battle royal was good as well, the down side we're getting force fed orton vs hhh yet again.

When I heard that Monday Night Raw was up for sale, I thought about buying it myself, but instead I opted to pick up a few ROH dvds.

Trump in wrestling though. It could be an interesting turn of events. It does seem kinda different anyway. When I saw that the show was coming from Charlotte, I thought for sure it was gonna be Ric though.

idk could Vince have a money problems?

Dude, you are not that naive. NOBODY is that naive.

Look, Vincent K. McMahon is the chairman of a publicly traded company. If he was having "money problems", it would be plastered over every business publication you've never heard of. Lemme give you an example I'm very familiar with.

Sumner Redstone owns Viacom and CBS. He's the largest and controlling shareholder of both companies. He came up with the idea of splitting them into two separate companies and he did it. When he was having "money problems" and forced to sell stock in order to "pay the note" on his debt, it lit up the financial news sites like Christmas Village. When 'the 850' were laid off last December (shortly after Thanksgiving ffs!!!), everyone with two brain cells to rub together breathed a sigh of relief because people knew it was coming back in AUGUST.

In today's culture, American billionaires have no privacy, fiscal or otherwise. You think Warren Buffett maintains his base in Omaha, Nebraska because it's a hoppin' town?? No. He owns damn near everything there so he can exert some editorial control over what gets out and what doesn't. Vince isn't on that level (and unless his business diversifies in a hurry, he never will be. Not to say he's 'poor' or lacks some power but let's face it, he's not a billionaire) so the only time people (as in, financial people) care about his business is when there's a scandal involved with it.

LOL at people that actually believe Vince would sell RAW.

That would be like Trump selling the Trump Plaza Hotel Casino to Vince.

Don't laugh, y0. Trump is open to selling those. After all, the company's in bankruptcy right now. But, that company has nothing to do with his truly profitable holdings (that of the Trump International hotels, which exist under the 'Trump Organization' umbrella).

For the uninitiated, it's a storyline. Just like Vince didn't die when "his limo" blew up years ago and Benoit "ruined" that storyline, he didn't really sell his most valuable broadcasting asset.

I was under the impression the Atlantic City Casino was his little baby. BTW who won the battle royal my DVR always cuts off a few minutes short so I get to consistantly miss the most important part of the show?

that is why i always have raw and a few other shows "record longer".....hhh won the battle royal.

I think with the finiancal situation trump is in he would sell almost anything right now.

Thanks.

How uninteresting Orton loses the belt just to get it back and have a WM rematch in the next PPV.

Meh, they haven't had a re-match since WM and Orton is the champ without having beaten HHH clean, so I don't think that's a bad idea. What is a bad idea is taking the title off Orton, then giving the title back to Orton and have HHH win a Battle Royale just to get a rematch opportunity. There's no reason Orton couldn't have retained at Extreme Rules, then had HHH come out and say "grr I want to fight you!" and then have Orton weasel out for a week before eventually get roped into giving HHH his match. They should've just kept things simple, imo.

Wow. WWE keeps making less and less sense to me. Why have the biggest heel get smashed in a very short match by an injured guy who vacated the belt the next day, only for him to regain it the following week and initiate feud #79 with Triple H? Yawn.

As much as I hate the guy in a ring, I think Cena should have won it - and initiated a feud with either Orton or Triple H.

Isn't this the whole trying to keep Orton heel malarkey?

Not really seen it so I couldn't tell you, but i have heard fans are dying to cheer for him.

Actually, that match is next week on Raw, that's what Trump's big announcement at the end of the show was.
