Moderndaywarrior
There you go,Mark is generating some momentum now;the energy situation has levelled out enough to improve the matches,it's a good sign being able to deliver that kind of quality only 6 months into your career against other lower carders. I really like how we can emulate different ring styles effectively(Arn knocks them down and works the arm until they give up ,Mark just straight up kicks the stuffing out of them and throws them around until they can't kick out of a pin). captainlou
It shows just how good WS2 and it's AI are as we are able to use different styles in order to achieve success, Double A, a technician and Mean Mark, a brawler. Mark's stamina is now at C- and it's allowing him to stay in matches longer. I'll need to keep improving it as well as the other major skills, like performance and entertainment, just in case I am able to get to at least call a cult-sized promotion like WCCW by the time the summer of '84 rolls around. In my RtL,I think I had to be around the C range in about half of the U.S. regions before I could get work in a Cult promotion;assuming you keep a fairly good win ratio and don't have alot of overness reducing losses,it takes about a year, more or less. Basically what I've found is working on your physical skills (stamina, toughness, power, and the like) will get you the tools to get your wins, your rumble/technical skills(brawling, chain wrestling, etc.) will get you the moves you like to build a good match, performance skills(psychology, consistency, etc.) will help you build the good match, then the entertainment skills(mic, acting, etc.) help with your actual push,Other (intesnity, stiffnes, etc.) affects different things. I seem to have the best success starting with physical skills (plus power and basics as they are critical to open up other things) first,I follow with performance skills, then technical/brawling skills, and finally entertainment skills. It takes a while (1 year or more depending on the initial stats),this way you end up with a wrestler who is good enough at the start to get the wins to get the money to build stats, then eventually you'll be able to get a respectable push,do a well graded match, and have the gas to get wins to boot. captainlou
Awesome counter. The outstretched arm caught him and stopped him in his tracks. Weingeroff was probably ready to finish me off if I didn't do it first. His speed probably was a little too much and he grabbed the momentum first. Thanks to my increased stamina, I was able to hold him off as the match went deeper. With Shawn Michaels still sitting in the opener level and at 2.4% popularity, I doubt now if I will get a chance to face him while I'm at HCW. Moderndaywarrior
Looks like you have Malenko's number now;as long as the "support"(mic, charisma, etc.) skills measure up,which they should, soon it will be time to move up the card. That Tiger Conway match was rough;i think even JYD and Bobo Brazil were saying "Enough with the headbutts!" by the end, fortunately there was enough drama with the bleeding, near falls, etc. to cover up Tiger's limited offense and make a great match. AA is still struggling a bit, though losing to Rick Harris(aka Black Bart) isnt bad since he's usually over and Brad Armstrong has potential so that's not so bad either; At least he got the win where it mattered,i might have cried if AA had lost to Italian freakin' Stallion. captainlou
Mark was never one to be that good on the mic until later on. That's why, I guess, he had General Skandor Akbar, William "Paul Bearer" Moody, Paul E Dangerously, Theodore Long, Brother Love, Dutch Mantell and Downtown Bruno (AKA Harvey Wippleman).
