1-1 in PNW which seems to be about par for that course....at least if someone had to get overness off of you,Iceman is a good pick;I kind of liked how the CPU worked that match,it seemed realistic for Malenko to use the wrestling style takedowns, then work a body part to set up the finisher...to me it was logical and believeable, just too bad the lack of experience means you don't quite have the "support" skills to get the crowd really into it.It was kinda neat how they gave you Joe right after in a kind of "take out the frustration on the weaker brother" deal....good booking and a sensible way to get you a win back.

I was kind of suprised by the almost Ric Flair like approach Hector took to your match, you made it work though, and got the win, that's what matters.

I took a gander at the recap and wow...looks like Spoiler is your "Iron Man",having participated in far more matches than anyone else....heck, just his win total is more than many other guys total number of matches.

And AA...lost to Bruno Jr........if anyone needs me I'll be crying softly.

Dean's little brother, though the weaker of the two, was still a handful. It seems like the bookings always have me as the second one listed, which puts me on the defense right away. It always ends up with my opponents getting a big edge in momentum.

It started to seem like a "skipping record" as Hector kept using that move over and over again.

I'll gladly take a win a week in both PNW and HCW, especially if those wins are in bigger purse matches.

The Spoiler is in three promotions now and it seems that he's in a match every time the scheduled night comes.

The AI must have confused Bruno Jr with his dad.

I also saw in my skills profile that my respect backstage is now D. I've only been wrestling for less than half a year. I don't know how this is happening. I did read in Ric Flair's book that Ric said that The Undertaker is the most respected guy in the locker room.

D'oh....stupid Dr.Death, that was shaping up to be a good match(as usual, two big tough dudes slugging it out is almost a guraantee to get a good grade when Mark is involved) but the wacky finish out of nowhere...still I guess a win for Mark is a win for Mark,eh?

Good to see Arn picking one up too, even if it was just a squash match....hopefully it means that God awful State of Mind team is soon to be over and done with so AA can get on to realizing his potential.

By AWA's not extending the contract of Leon White, it may take a while longer for Vader to appear. We'll just have to wait and see what the future holds for him. We'll also have to wait and see if Fit Finlay and the UK's Steven Regal venture across the "pond" to the USA or elsewhere.

I'm getting sick of wrestling Dr.Death. Near the end of every match he seems hell bent on throwing me over the top rope. I'll gladly take the win, though, and the popularity increase.

Damn you Dean!

And Dr. Death. Honestly, because I don't go back in to wrestling. That far, but I never knew throwing over the top rope could be counted as a DQ. Shows what I know.

HCW's wrestling matches are old school style. The only time when throwing someone over the top is legal, I think, is during a hardcore match in this style. Also, in this style, moves from the top rope are illegal and may result in a DQ. This tends to hurt the "high flyers", like Shawn Michaels.

Yep,the the gist of it;the old NWA rules strictly forbid throwing the opponent over the top rope to the floor as being "highly dangerous and likely to cause serious injury",the same stance was taken on moves from the top rope.Eventually, as fans wanted to see more the ban on top rope moves was relaxed in some promotions, other promotions stuck with the ban, which can sometimes be confusing......though I can say it did make even simple moves off the top seem much more deadly than nowadays when you have guys doing double 360's and the guy who gets hit just comes right back from it.IIRC,the WWF was one of the first promotions to lift the top rope ban,and was the first of the "big" promotions to ditch the "over the top" rule, which the NWA,AWA,and GCW used as a staple for "The Dusty Finish" for years;usually it went "Ref is out, heel champ throws the face challenger over the top rope, face makes a comeback and pins the heel as the ref recovers to count it...WE HAVE A NEW CHAMP!Oh wait,on further review, the champ tossed the challenger over the top before the pinfall so the ruling has been changed....the face still wins but by DQ,the heel is still YOUR champ!"

Actually, you could say it was the good old "top rope rule" and that finish right there that killed the AWA....they did that one with Hogan and Bock about a million times until the fans got tired, lost hope, and stopped showing up....Hogan got mad at Verne and left, from there it was straight downhill.
