You can't have a storyline with just one side winning. What kind of story would it tell if Anderson/Gallows always beat the Usos there wouldn't be any point of watching the matches. This storyline has been the best WWE has done in a very long time, and the booking has been fine.

That's basically what he said. I guess, but I enjoy current Roman more than anyone on the roster. He's playing his role perfect right now. Ever since he won the title he's been the bad ass tweener that he should be.

Actually I've pretty much hated the story line and every time I've attempted to watch the last 3 RAWs....I've fell asleep. Nothing about The Guy interests me. The Guy has been way to over exposed to me IMO and while I don't wish nobody else on this roster gets injured....it would help if this guy were gone from my TV for a few months to freshen him up.

In fear of sounding like most of the internet this story is just awful. Everybody playing tweener is not helping it and just making it an incoherent mess. If there is nothing exciting coming out of Extreme Rules I maybe done with the product for a while.

The Shane and Steph thing is boring...All they do is just pat each other on the back. You know why Eric Bischoff and Steve Austin worked? They had a great on screen chemistry and they were actually having conflict every week. I can see if Steph was being nice to her brother's face but undoing his decisions behind his back. But Shane doesn't even address the one decision she has done which was canceling Ambrose Asylum?

I like the conflict with the IC title and that is probably the only thing that I've been liking about this build up to Extreme Rules...Well the New Day going "back in time" was good too.

The Rock Family Rejects vs AJ and friends isnt bad but at the same time its not interesting. Why the hell did the Usos go over Anderson/Gallows? But the fued itself is a waste since I know SuperReigns will bury all 3 guys by himself in the end.

Steph and Shane confuses me. They hated each other when this started. Now they get along? Too much buddy buddy right now. Expecting things to blow up. If there is a brand split I think they need to start competing again. Raw vs Smackdown like it used to be. Competition improves everyone involved.

Why is Ziggler vs Corbin happening? Have these guys even been on Raw since Payback? Corbin has already been ruined by the Main Roster writers.

The fatal 4way is amazing. I am beyond entertained by this. I could watch Owens vs Zayn go back and forth for 3 hours. Just give me them... Raw and Smackdown and every PPV.... Owens vs Zayn.

New Day is just gold. The Raw segment was decent. I enjoyed the Kofi part where he had his old theme though.

Lately I been catching on what I did miss on Whatculture's Youtube WTF moments. King Ross and my opinion have been in sync ever since Payback...this has just been a terrible build.

I swear to god they need to quit spamming The Usos vs. The Club because all they are doing is making Gallows and Anderson weak way too early just to keep the Golden Boy strong. It's sad but it appears that the main event scene is just going to become Roman's steak sandwiches.

I accepted Rollin's weasel heel run way more than Roman's......tweener run?.....where he beats everyone clean and has no credible opponents left.

WWE has been a mixed bag lately, some stuff has been good other stuff is flat out terrible. The IC title fatal fourway match is great, and I have a feeling it will steal the show this Sunday. While Roman Reigns and The Usos burring the Bullet Club is just terrible. The ending to the the match at Payback was just lame. Fans need to revolt against this and keep booing Reigns like they did at Payback. Maybe throw garbage at the ring if Roman Reigns wins at Extreme Rules.

What's so stellar about the storyline? It's the match quality imo that's boosting the title somewhat. They are impressive indeed, but the story is meh.

Just watched NXT today and Nia Jax impressed me. The matchup with Bailey is a nice one, and Bailey seemed to have attained godlike levels of selling after all this time in the big leagues. She was already naturally good at it at the start of her career (going into SHIMMER etc), but now it's her main - dare I say - "selling" point...

I disagree. 1 segment and singles or tag match per show. No more than the likes of Ambrose, Owens, Jericho and Zayn have been getting.

I'm holding off judgement on the Family vs Club feud until after Extreme Rules.

Nia was really good. A few extra moves some more experience and she could be the female Ryback.

Yea while she doesn't particular do anything too extraordinary (for some reason she is reminding me of Ripper Rhonda?) She is playing her current role perfect. If they just book her smart and not make her take too many losses she could be a reoccurring female monster and have a slight run with the title to gain more credibility.

Her and Bailey is the only ones that I could justify ending Asuka's winning streak and it not killing Asuka's momentum dead in the water.

I think the best thing about Nia is that she's actually strong. You see a lot of women her size that are almost purely fat, but she's clearly got muscle under that bodysuit with the way she countered Bayley's guillotine into a stalling vertical suplex position.

Either way, his departure has taken a big toll on my vision of today's WWE, and I imagine that you won't be seeing me in this thread for a long time, since I'm taking a break from watching today's wrestling. The WWE was the only thing keeping me glued to wrestling since 2011, as I had a lot of hope that the product was going to improve. Albeit it did improve a few times, like in 2014, the best year between three mediocre/terrible years in 2012, 2013 and 2015, it was just for some short glimpses, and each time the product derailed back to nothingness, my hope just kept fading. Cody, though, just remained loyal and consistent with his work since then, regardless of how badly they booked him ever since his amazing Intercontinental Championship run (I believe it was the last great run with the belt we've ever had) ended, and my shameless hope kept telling me that they would find a way to give him what he deserved thanks to such loyalty. After all, he had everything, and he wasn't slacking at the job, didn't he deserve something better than jobbing in some bodysuit? Since he lost the belt, I just kept insulting my friends' patience, because I just wanted that Cody Rhodes push so bad. Every year I would be excited, every year they would reply, it is coming, they won't let this talent pass...I believed in them, in my hope, and in Vince McMahon, and then came opportunity after opportunity for them to take him to the top and they wasted every single one of it. Their treatment of Cody is kind of symbolic, a metaphor as to why the WWE fails today...it's not just Cody, it's every talent that they have that isn't handpicked or is not already established, pretty much. Some talent has some success, and has some glimpses of a push, but after a major feud, they are shunted back to the lower card, like Jack Swagger. The WWE remains at the status quo, because the casual fans gives it a lot of money, and some bigger fans who still have hope do the same, and the casuals are happy...and I understand why, because the casual fans have every reason to watch. I won't deny that. I won't question that. I won't rant about how the casual fans are stupid and how the WWE should be catering to the loyal fans. The casual fans have the right to enjoy the product. But I just don't have any reason to watch anymore. With Cody gone (And I will guess that his reasoning was because of the misuse of his character, as it was with Ted DiBiase Jr.), all of my favorites are either dead or gone from the WWE and the product won't get better, TNA is a pile of feces because of Dixie, ROH just isn't interesting enough for me today, LU has gone too far for me to understand anything and I just can't find the strength to watch it from the beginning, and GFW is...I don't even know what the hell happened to it!

Also, watching Japanese wrestling regularly doesn't cut it for me (I do love watching it occasionally), and I'm not familiar enough to Mexican wrestling. Call me an idiot or a hypocrite or anything, but it's just my mindset, I'm not trying to hurt anybody from the forums with these words, so I'll just ask for respect if someone replies to this, because there's a history of people taking what I say too seriously or simply misunderstanding (For example, when I gave my opinion about the DOTM) my words in here and insulting me as a result of it. I won't leave the forums and will still write for them (after all, I like telling stories), and will still watch older stuff, because I will never stop loving wrestling. But current wrestling just isn't fit for me to watch. I apologize if this ''rant'' enraged any of you, I just had to say all of this.

I thought that AJ Styles, Gallows and Anderson and all the NXT call ups would re-spark my interest in current WWE, but they've completely mishandled all of them, either because they "have nothing for them to do" (then why did you call them up from NXT?) or to make Roman look strong (how much stronger does he need to look?). I agree with you completely. After Extreme Rules tonight, I think I'm done with modern WWE for a long time. The only current wrestling that I care enough to watch is Lucha Underground, and that's less a wrestling program than it is a program about wrestling. ROH has taken a downward spiral in quality as well, and I'm not going to the hassle of figuring out how to pay for NJPW World. So old wrestling only it is for me, I suppose.

The show has its own lore that starts at episode 1 and the wrestling style is Lucha under American rules. It's something easy to watch. Every episode has 1 good match and the plot moves along with very very little filler. I would put more as a TV series than a wrestling show.

Cody's Twitter statement pretty much confirmed what we all knew.

He wanted to be Cody Rhodes and not Stardust. It wasn't a case of not being pushed, it was a case of not being listened to (thanks Voices of Wrestling for that line) even though he had numerous people in his corner fighting for him. He was basically told that wrestling Apollo Crews on the C-show was "his role in the play" and that the play depended on everybody playing their role well.

Whilst I don't think he was immensely talented nor capable to carrying WWE in terms of being a headliner, he did his best with what was given to him. I remember The Rhodes Family rivalry with The Shield fondly, I thought he was spectacular as a babyface against The Authority and it seemed a natural suit for him going forward. I'm sad that I'll never get to see that materialize because they sorely miss personable babyfaces and Cody would have been fantastic in that role. But obviously management had other ideas... the dreaded Stardust gimmick. He tried but I think his stinker against Goldust was the nail in the coffin in terms of him ever being on an upward curve ever again. That and his heatless rivalry with Sandow that obviously didn't materialize as expected.

In terms of where he goes next, he says he'll wrestle. I could see him in TNA, which would be his best bet but would only further the narrative of TNA using ex-WWE guys. But where else can give him the platform he needs? ROH's taping schedule and such is so haphazard that he'll barely get the chance to cut a promo let alone appear weekly on national television. Maybe LU? But they make their own characters, is there even a spot of Cody Rhodes there? I don't know, I really don't know where he'll go now.
