I must admit I skipped through most of the event, but it seemed to be that the storyline 'additions' were completely missable.

Let's recap because people seem to think house shows further storylines and have 10M entrance budgets now.

We have 4 main event level storylines right now, Brock Lesnar cashing in MitB(this was blown off on this show at least for now) Shane McMahon: Best in the World,(Furthered by him tooling on Roman Reigns for 80% of the match and then winning), Dolph Ziggler:Forgotten Crybaby(Which was furthered by setting up a cage match for the next PPV) and Rollins vs. Corbin, which got the least attention, but they clearly didn't want to overshadow Brock(the real star)

Then we had a couple of midcard pushes, Lars Sullivan (Which I think they tried to turn into a program with Lucha House Party, but instead made Lars worthless and look like a bum.) and Braun Strowman vs. Lashley which was blown off completely here.

The only storylines not addressed were the ones involving infidels, and sullied women. In terms of set up, an execution, this was a Survivor Seriesish level show. Anybody who says otherwise is just trying to make themselves feel better by minimizing these shows and compartmentalizing. The WWE expected you to watch this(maybe not after) before it aired and has referenced them going forward at both RAW and SD. These aren't separate shows, they're not house shows, they're not One Night Stands. They're not split brand shows, or Network Specials.

And that's the last I'm every speaking of Saudi Arabia til November when they have another Blood Money show.

Greylocke
I'm assuming they're trying to sell Ilja Dragunov as some intense, dangerous guy, but so far it's having the wrong effect on me. I just find him hilarious. The match with Conners doesn't feel very coordinated either, it felt like he did that missed crossbody about 2 seconds after his opponent ducked down. Add the fact that every action he does is so exaggerated....if I were watching this show for the first time I might have thought this was a comedy match.

I wouldn't even be too upset about that. I actually like a lot of comedy wrestlers. But I suspect this is not what they're looking to portray.

And the current title scene confirmed a little of my fears. They don't really have anyone besides Mastiff that felt like a big enough threat to Walters. Banks hasn't really been built up to look like a credible threat even in a 1-on-1 fight, much less against full stable. I know Walters isn't likely to drop the title to the first challenger anyway, but with Banks they'll have a lot of work to do get me to suspend my disbelief for even a few seconds that he just might win.
milamber
With the recent tryouts it looks like WWE might co-opt OTT Wrestling in Ireland. Greylocke
The women's battle royal this week......I think the "competitor gets thrown out through/under the ropes mid-match and remains outside until the end and sneaks back in to eliminate last remaining opponent" ending is getting overdone these days, and totally gave away the ending mid-match. Still, I like that they seem to see huge upside in Xia Brookside, not only making her the runner-up but actually letting her eliminate ALL 3 "giants" of the match. I'm definitely a fan, and she has potential to be the face of the division one day. Banks getting his title match next week instead of the next Takeover......looks like they agree with me that he isn't really a credible enough contender yet and they need a bigger main event than Walter vs Banks for Takeover. It has been the ending sequence of every battle royale I've seen since 2017 I think, and I'm including AEW.
milamber
Stomping Grounds was good for a filler PPV that looked bad on paper. Enjoyed most of the matches. I fast-forwarded most of last 3 but it looked like they put some effort into making them interesting. Crowd was hot.

Jaysin
Lacey Evans is trash and nowhere near ready to be on the main roster let alone challenging for a title on the main roster. Seth Rollins is delusional if he thinks WWE is the best pro wrestling on the planet.
Mootinie
You wouldn't see anybody else in any other profession putting such garbage on social media. Footballers are maligned for being unintelligent but do you see them arguing on Twitter about who plays for the better team? Can you imagine how childish that argument would be? Seth Rollins is delusional if he thinks WWE is the best pro wrestling on the planet. Agreed. They do have some good wrestlers it's true but they're not being used as well as they could be, plus it seems for every talented wrestler there's a generic musclehead cluttering things up. The Antonio Brown saga literally just happened. Also, could you imagine if TO had social media for his driveway workout saga that to this day he'll still take shots at McNabb over? There's been plenty of examples of people doing this stuff in every walk of life, and every profession. We're on the surge of a wave that's about to see 2 companies attempt to claim significant market share off the WWE. Enjoy the ride, I only see more of this.
