<p>Something for Ziggler fans, I honestly liked what he said there, that's the right attitude.</p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Dolph Ziggler Says He's Disappointed in Himself<p> Posted By: Caylon Knox on Sep 17, 2013</p><p> Source: WOIO-TV</p><p> </p><p> Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler recently admitted in an interview that he is disappointed with how his career has been going lately:</p><p> </p><p> "I'm disappointed in a lot of my work lately, I'm not doing as great as I should be, but I'm working on it, I assure you," Ziggler admitted. I'm known for stealing the show, and I don't think that I've been doing that lately."</p></div></blockquote>

<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>NXT Review:</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Zayn vs Hawkins</strong> - Started average but the second half really picked up. A-Ry dubbed Sami "The Natural" in honor of his effortless ability in and out of the ring.</p><p>

<strong>English vs Cuellari</strong> - Squash match against the unsigned QT Marhsall (from ROH). Aiden English's singing entrance (and encore) fits his old-time gimmick. Very much in the Damien Sandow mould.</p><p>

<strong>Bo Dallas</strong> now has a personal hotline for all his Bo-lievers! He also downplayed Zayn's win by dissing Hawkins.</p><p>

<strong>Graves, Neville, Woods & Parker vs O'Brian, Victor, Kruger & Breeze</strong> - Fun match. Lots of rapid-fire tags early on. Breeze got a huge reaction. His ego got in the way and his teammates turned on him, leaving the the babyfaces to destroy him. Good way to showcase half the male roster.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Verdict:</span></strong> With Champ Bo Dallas out of action it felt like a filler show. Still, it was worth watching for Zayn and the tag match.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Smackdown Review:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Naomi vs AJ</strong> - Decent match.</p><p>

<strong>Swagger vs Santino</strong> - Santino makes it 2 for 2 against the Real Americans in a quick match.</p><p>

<strong>Ryback vs Nardone</strong> - Ryback sqashing unknown jobbers again <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> At least he has the anti-bully gimmick and Heyman this time.</p><p>

<strong>Orton</strong> - Good promo by his standards, trying to rile up the crowd.</p><p>

<strong>Shield vs Babyfaces</strong> - Unique handicap elimination gauntlet match with Shield 3-on-1 vs everyone who stood up for Bryan on Raw. PTP were dispatched quickly. Ziggler lasted longer but got counted out after a Reigns spear. Kofi almost got a pin after a flurry of offense. RVD kicked ass until HHH came out and called off the match to make himself look good.</p><p>

<strong>Gabriel & Ryder vs Wyatts</strong> - HHH set this up in the spirit of fair competition. Ryder ate a big clothesline from Harper. With so many tag teams the Wyatts need to have longer matches to get over.</p><p>

<strong>Truth vs Del Rio</strong> - ADR once again proves he can have a good match with just about anyone on the roster. I'm not a fan of Rapping Babyface Truth.</p><p>

<strong>Shield vs Bryan & Usos</strong> - Good long tag match. The crowd got behind the Usos. Bryan got the pin on Ambrose with the crowd going nuts.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Verdict:</strong></span> First half of the show was below average. Second half was above average.</p>

WWE aren't happy they but personally I think it's great these guys are getting more exposure, accidental or not. It also shows that HHH is serious about training a new generation of wrestlers (with a wide variety of styles) who are (hopefully) the complete package before hitting the main roster.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Raw Review:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Kofi vs Del Rio</strong> - Good match. Del Rio is one of WWE's most consistent in-ring performers. Kofi deserves a push if he keeps performing like this.</p><p>

<strong>Wyatts vs PTP</strong> - Finally the Wyatts get a decent tag match.</p><p>

<strong>Miz TV</strong> - Best part was Steph running down Miz and Show knocking him out.</p><p>

<strong>Orton vs RVD</strong> - Good match. Sadistic Randy is fun to watch.</p><p>

<strong>Fandango vs Santino</strong> - Summer Rae is a great valet. I'm really enjoying Santino's matches since his return.</p><p>

<strong>CM Punk</strong> - Entertaining segment designed to get the crowd rocking. The brawl was a bonus.</p><p>

<strong>Divas match</strong> - 10 wrestlers and it lasted 2 minutes? And 3 of the heels are now babyfaces because of Total Divas? But AJ is on the heel team even though she got buried by Steph and gets a babyface reaction? The divas division might be interesting but the booking is terrible aside from AJ's mic time and Nattie's push.</p><p>

<strong>Shield vs Babyfaces</strong> - LOL at HHH chastizing Vicki on SD for her handicap gauntlet idea and setting up his own version on Raw. Rhodes family ambush! Perfectly scripted match. Contender for best tag match of the year.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Verdict:</span></strong> Good Raw from start to finish with 3 quality matches and a momentum shift in favor of the babyfaces. I like that the main storyline is giving midcarders like the Usos and PTP a chance to shine. Bryan's mega push continues.</p>

As usual, Rollins' selling of Bryan's finisher was perfect.</p><p> </p><p> I was pissed at that farce of a Divas match however. Barely three minutes of action, with ten divas, and to have AJ fall victim to Brie Bella's finisher so easily was appalling. There was absolutely no effort to kick out to even make it look like a flash-fluke win, how can we take a women's champion seriously if they're made to look so weak? Several weeks ago I was hopeful with the direction the creative team were going with the division, but now I see my hope was completely false yet again.</p>

<p>So I watched Monday's Raw all the way through and was still bored pretty much, it had its good spots but then it has it's very boring spots. The good parts to me were The Shield Promo, The Rhodes story, CM Punk/Heyman/Ryback. The bad consisted of the Russo like booking with a 11 on 3 match, Daniel Bryan being the new Rey Mysterio by beating the odds is getting old real fast, and anything involving that horrible reality show they have. </p><p> </p><p>

I do have a way to make this storyline more interesting though at least to me. So Ken Anderson is no longer with TNA, why not bring back Mr. Kennedy and have him help out DB take out Orton and HHH. It would play off of the real life heat that got Anderson released and would add more charisma to this stale story.</p>

WWE has never really been consistent with pushing the Divas from what I've seen and it sucks because if they were allowed to really wrestle then they would have a good thing going.</p>

NXT Review:

Amore & Cassidy vs Breeze & Parker - Cassidy pinned Parker (who refused to tag Breeze in) after a nice sidewalk slam. #SAWFT

Amore & Cassidy vs Dawson & Rusev - Amore took a beating before rolling up Dawson for the pin. Rusev knocked both guys out in revenge.

Amore & Cassidy vs The Ascension - The Ascension became the #1 Tag Title contenders after dominating the beat-up crowd favorites.

Bayley vs Banks - Good match (Sasha won) with both girls showing a lot of personality. Summer Rae gave a promo after the match that reminded me of LayCool. Emma rushed out to scare them off. Renee Young on the announce team was a bonus.

English vs Dempsey - English is a likeable heel with a memorable entrance.

El Local vs Zayn - Sami beat the masked and almost unrecognizable Ricardo Rodriguez (who looks like a generic luchador :)). Fun match but too short. Bo Dallas came out to cut another funny promo and annouce the Bo Dallas Invitational (everyone gets a crack at the champ except Sami Zayn). #Zayniacs

Kassius Ohno - Returned for a backstage segment with Maddox who called him a "D+ Player."

HHH - Trips sucked up to the crowd then told them he was giving GM Dusty Rhodes time off. The crowd gave him the "No" treatment. Trips installed JBL as the new GM! JBL acted like a total dick, which was awesome. "This isn't sing along with The Wrestling God so shut your mouths!"

Verdict: Packed show. The tag team turmoil was fun. The divas impressed. Only letdown was the short main event match due to the amount of non-match segments. An extra 15-20 minutes of running time would improve the show.

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Smackdown Review:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Del Rio vs Truth</strong> - Quick match to keep Del Rio's momentum going and give RVD a chance to come to Truth's rescue. BG match will be Hardcore Rules... Better not be PG Inferno Match Part 2.</p><p>

<strong>Real Americans vs PTP</strong> - Good feud. Big swing from Cesaro on Titus! Swagger ankle lock on Young won the match.</p><p>

<strong>Wyatt vs Ryder</strong> - Decent match. Ryder got in a little offense. Bray won clean with no help from Rowen and Harper.</p><p>

<strong>Ambrose vs Ziggler (US Title)</strong> - DQ after Shield interfered.</p><p>

<strong>Ziggler, RVD & Kofi vs Shield</strong> - Good match with Shield coming out on top.</p><p>

<strong>Cameron (w/ Naomi) vs AJ (w/ Tamina)</strong> - Cameron is still too weak and sloppy. The highlight was AJ calling her "useless" and winning after a shining wizard.</p><p>

<strong>Slater vs Santino</strong> - Funniest match of the year. Mahal and Khali played tug of war with the Cobra by playing flutes. Santino won. Reminded me of the Osirans using hypnosis in Chikara.</p><p>

<strong>Orton vs Miz</strong> - Miz started strong, then hurt his shoulder. Orton attacked him and got DQ'd. In a sly move, HHH (blaming Orton for trying to take away Miz's opportunity by intentionally getting DQ'd) ordered the match restarted with No DQ rules (so Orton could legally destroy Miz). Miz rallied with a few chair shots but lost after a barricade DDT and RKO. I hope Miz turns heel. A revenge storyline will be anticlimactic because people generally hate the guy.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Verdict:</span></strong> Could have been better but it was a solid show. Giving us a break from D-Bry was probably a good idea.</p>

<p>My thoughts on Miz. I don't know why but he seems to be a "pet" project for... I don't know perhaps HHH or Steph, I really don't know who might be the one behind it, perhaps even Vince.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyways, it just seems a tad too much like the same story they are running with Bryan, who is definitely getting the biggest push I've seen in 10 years. It's not "exactly" the same, but the similarities I am seeing is basically how he is being put in no win situations (the difference is he is losing, where Daniel is overcoming the odds). It might be to eventually turn him heel, as that is what everything I've been reading says is going to happen. Of course they said he would turn heel before Orton, so .... </p><p> </p><p>

In any case, him being one that has spoken up against them, and now is being "picked" on, but in a very politically correct way "Hey, I see what you're trying to do there Randy, purposely getting yourself disqualified so that Miz doesn't get his opportunity!" Obviously, winning the match should have done that. "Restart this match, no disqualification!" Now he can come back next week and tell Miz how he made sure he got his opportunity. The similarity is that he's basically telling Miz he is not an A+ player. "Look how many opportunities I've given you in just a couple of weeks!" All the cards are against Miz, just like they were with DB. Right now, they are putting Miz back in the limelight again, which is good I think. He can be better then we've seen him, he has been better anyways.</p>
