Jeez, Smackdown wasn't buried, it was for the storyline. Buried is the most overused word ever. Jesus was buried by John Cena (man, that looks weird if you don't know what I'm talking about), Smackdown will come out of this just fine.

I hope they go with a post-SS meltdown where SD! somehow takes revenge. It's always the same old invasion angle that was only interesting because Becky.

<p>Actually watched the event and enjoyed it, but the ending of the SS match was a cluster. Instead of going for the obvious angle of Braun demolishing his own team to be the sole survivor, he just pins the team without effort and then... gets announced as the sole survivor... falsely. Then gets touched by Corbin now that "survivor series is over"... except it's not. </p><p> </p><p>

That being said: the team segments were nice. I also loved the ending of the women's SS match and overall it was a nice PPV. But what's with the Tshirts all the time? It's just ugly, especially during Rollins vs Nakamura.</p>

Don't think Starrcade was ever meant to be more than a glorified house show. I don't recall them promoting it at all until last week......and since I usually watch RAW and Smackdown one week later, the show was already over before i even found out about it. It's less relevant than the old Tribute to the Troops shows.

<p>If you factor in NXT, NXT UK, Takeovers, 205 Live, MYC and the more entertaining stuff on the main roster, WWE is way more good than bad. It's just that the main roster is such a mixed bag it's hard to watch (which is why I would never watch live even if the time difference allowed for it) and some people just can't over that and miss out on the good WWE.</p><p> </p><p>

Outside of WWE I mostly watch Stardom and Tokyo Joshi Pro (I'm really into joshi wrestling and wish I had time to watch more like Sendai Girls, Wrestle-1 and Ice Ribbon). Also Lucha Underground. I watch New Japan and DDT casually and the occasional indy event but they don't interest me enough to watch regularly.</p>

I still follow WWE out of mostly habit (well, that and easy accessibility) even though they're no longer my favourite shows. LU and TJPW are by far my favourite promotions at the moment, and I've also been following Stardom as much as I can (although I have to admit not enough to get really up to date due to how often they put up new shows even while I'm still digging through the old ones, but that's more due of lack of time than of interest), and I'm a casual watcher of DDT.</p><p> </p><p> The major difference is that I can't stand stand New Japan, personally. In fact, NJPW was what put me <em>off</em> Japanese wrestling for so many years. When I started looking for japanese matches many years back, NJPW was (comparatively) more accessible so naturally I started with that......and was so bored that it gave me an overall bad impression of what Puro is.</p><p> </p><p> I'm so glad that I decided to give myself another shot at Japanese wrestling over a year ago, because when I tried out Stardom and DDT I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed them. Dragon Gate's product wasn't exactly my cup of tea either so i don't follow them (not that i have the means to anyway), but from what little I saw I still liked them better than New Japan. Turns out that my mistake was choosing to the wrong promotion to start watching. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

I don't think there is anything wrong with WWE at the moment. It's been far, far worse. The thing is that there's so much content that you have to be picky about what you watch. If you insist on watching every RAW, Smackdown, PPV, then you're bound to encounter some bad quality stuff occasionally. Try and find your product and stick with it. You can't honestly claim now that WWE is all bad or you're not much of a wrestling fan. Unless you're into very niche stuff like overly hardcore or T&A, but why would you turn to mainstream if that's the case?
