USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING!

Wednesday Week 4 May 2010

Some of the angles used definitely helped lift the show as a whole.

This show can be considered a success, it should have increased our popularity.

[The show begins with a look back at last week...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/USPWAmericanWrestling.jpg

[...Giant Redwood was put into position as a member of James Justice's team going into Declaration Of Independence. He took that confidence and showed it by attacking Chris Caulfield, Bruce The Giant and Enygma during the night.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd boos as the familiar clomp of horses can only mean one thing...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Liberty_jhd2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GiantRedwood.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpg

[...James Justice leads the other three members of his team out from the back too boos from the crowd! Justice is all smiles after last week and what Giant Redwood did to the members of Chris Caulfield's team. They all four enter the ring but only James has a microphone...]

James Justice

"Huntsville, Alabama? Again? Seriously? I don't know why the Horsemen must make this town look better than it could ever make itself look. It's pretty pathetic that the only time this town gets any publicity is when USPW rolls around."

[...Boos litter the crowd but so does a 'USPW' chant...]

James Justice

"The Horsemen ARE USPW. Don't you get it? Well, if you don't then you will in just a few days as The Horsemen step inside the ring and earn a title shot for each and every member. Cage Wars? That's no problem for the Horsemen, DUDES! Chris Caulfield, we still don't know who the fourth member of your team will be. What's wrong? Couldn't find anyone willing to lose to the Horsemen on pay-per-view? How about you go back there and find someone like Happy Elwood or Lex Appeal? I'm sure that they will come back for one night only and be your partner. But, seriously, look at this humanity inside the ring here. Do you really think that we can lose? Oh and I do have to mention the old man. Sam, you made the mistake of sticking your nose in Horsemen business so you got a warning. Next time you do it, things will be so much worse."

[...The Horsemen music kicks up again as all four men flash the four fingers. But will this be the last USPW American Wrestling show that they are able to do that?]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DemonAnger.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShaneSneer.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg

Anger vs. Bruce The Giant

[Our opening contest was a good match though flawed as Anger was really off his game and there wasn't a whole lot of selling going on. But, then, what else could fans expect from these two, right? It definitely wasn't a wrestling contest. There were no arm drags or hip tosses. It was a brawl from start to finish. Shane Sneer tried to get involved but the threat of Bruce The Giant is enough to make anyone wet their pants and hang back away from the ring. Bruce laughed off an attempt at a Demon Slam by Anger, not even leaving his feet. But he did grab Anger around the throat and raised him in the air -- Giant Choke Slam! Bruce made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Bruce The Giant (Via Pinfall @ 5:13)

Match Rating: C-

[...The crowd cheered wildly for Bruce The Giant as he rose to his feet. Bruce played to the crowd for a moment until...]

[...---CLANG!---...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpg

[...Tyson Baine caught him in the back with a chair shot! Bruce staggered but didn't fall. He turned to look at Baine and Baine bashed him over the head with the chair, putting a rather large dent in the chair in the process. That time Bruce fell to the mat and Baine sneered down at him, raising four fingers.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[As officials came in to check on Bruce, we headed to a prerecorded interview...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/MickyStarr_alt1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GregGauge_alt1.jpg

[...With Micky Starr and newest USPW wrestler: Greg Gauge...]

Micky Starr

"Good evening wrestling fans! I hope you're all enjoying the show so far! 'Mighty' Micky Starr here with second generation wrestler Greg Gauge. Greg, welcome to USPW."

Greg Gauge

"First of all, old man, you better shut your mouth and listen to the words of Greatness. I am Greatness Greg Gauge and at USPW's Declaration Of Independence, Captain USA is going to find out firsthand why that is. Everyone knows who my father is and what he's done for this business but what he's done is going to be nothing compared to what you see me do. I am going to win more titles and beat more opponents in my career than my father could ever even dream of. And do you know why, Micky Starr?"

[...He holds the microphone over to Micky and then jerks it away before Micky can answer...]

Greg Gauge

"Because I am Greatness and he's not."

[...Greg pushes the microphone against Micky's chest and walks off. He's made himself a very lofty goal indeed.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GiantRedwood.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Ekuma.jpg

Giant Redwood vs. Ekuma The Hawaiian Strongman

[before the match, a sign was shown being held up by a fan: 'USPW, Welcome to the Ekuma era!!!!' The only positive thing to say about this match is that it was very short. Neither of these men have the ability to carry anyone so the match was a disaster from the start. Men fainted in the audience, women threw up, dogs and cats were living together. It was mass hysteria to get away from watching what went on in the ring. But for those who were able to stomach it, they saw Redwood dominate and finished Ekuma off with a Standing Splash and a pinfall: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Giant Redwood (Via Pinfall @ 1:42)

Match Rating: E+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The cameras focused in backstage with the big video screen lighting up to show everyone's favorite 'Dude' standing within the interview area...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Liberty_jhd2.jpg

[...Justice sneered at the crowd and they didn't like him either...]

James Justice

"Tonight is going to be a wonderful night because I am going to prove to each and every one of you that I deserve a title shot against Enygma. Enygma, you know and I know that you're just keeping that belt warm for me. You're just waiting until I decide I want my title shot. You see, Sam Strong didn't give me a title shot tonight and do you know why? Because he's afraid of me and he's afraid of the Four Horsemen. He knows that we are taking over the business, not just this company, but the business. That's why he put the stipulation on the match at Declaration Of Independence and that's why he's not giving me a title shot tonight. But when I pin you in the center of the ring following my Liberation Slam, there's going to be no choice but to book the match."

[...James looked to the camera for a moment and then walked off.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/CherryBomb.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpg

Cherry Bomb vs. Alicia Strong

[This was definitely a better match than the last one, though not by too much if I am being honest. Cherry Bomb put up a good effort in this one against Alicia Strong and the crowd was surprised by it. Cherry Bomb hit Alicia Strong with a DDT and made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- Shoulder up! This made the unstable Cherry Bomb upset and she went after the referee, chasing him around the ring! The referee slid out of the ring and Cherry Bomb looked toward Alicia Strong again! She moved over into her corner and picked up an invisible cherry bomb! She lit it with a 'lighter' and looked toward Alicia Strong as Strong got to her feet. Cherry Bomb threw the cherry bomb and Alicia caught it and threw it back! Cherry Bomb ducked and the bomb exploded outside the ring. Cherry Bomb looked relieved and then turned -- Strong Arm Tactic! Strong made the cover as the referee re-entered the ring: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Alicia Strong (Via Pinfall @ 4:54)

Match Rating: D

[...Alicia got the big win here tonight but her night wasn't over. As she stood up, she looked toward the ramp and out walked...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BelleBryden.jpg

[...USPW Women's Champion Belle Bryden! The crowd booed Bryden and she had a microphone in hand...]

Belle Bryden

"Alicia Strong, how's your daddy? He doing alright with the one leg? Several weeks ago, I denied your request to face me at Declaration Of Independence this Saturday night. But I figured you would still want a match. So I went around looking for an opponent to face you that you haven't faced before. Well, I found her. At Declaration Of Independence, you are going to face my hand-picked opponent. You beat her and just maybe I'll give you a shot at my belt. You lose and it's back to the end of the line for you."

[...Belle laughed and stroked the belt with her fingers before heading to the back.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[backstage and upon the big video screen, a prerecorded interview began to play...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DannyJillefski_alt2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

[...This one featured Danny Jillefski talking to 'The Hardcore American' Chris Caulfield...]

Danny Jillefski

"Hello wrestling fans, I'm Danny Jillefski alongside Chris Caulfield. Chris, I have to ask you: do you really think that your team has a shot of winning at Declaration Of Independence with so much on the line?"

Chris Caulfield

"We not only have a shot, Danny, but we are going to win. Take a look at my team already: Bruce The Giant, Enygma, myself. This is practically a 'who's who' of wrestling on my team."

Danny Jillefski

"Speaking of your team, gonna give us any insight as to who the fourth member is?"

Chris Caulfield

"All I can tell you, Danny, is that he is here tonight and he will be setting foot inside this very ring."

[...Chris turned and walked off before Danny could ask him any more questions and we headed back to the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DannyRushmore.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShaneSneer.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SteveFlash.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/KatieCameron.jpg

Danny Rushmore vs. Steve Flash

[This match was technical skill versus brute force when Steve Flash and Danny Rushmore clashed in the center of the ring. Each of them brought a manager down to ringside with them but only one of them had a manager who is willing to interfere and win at all costs. Rushmore had the advantage midway through the bout and tossed Flash to the floor outside the ring. He distracted the official and Shane Sneer put in a few stomps to the ribs of Steve Flash! The crowd booed, trying to get the referee's attention but the referee was tied up with Rushmore. Sneer grabbed Flash and tossed him back in the ring, the dirty work done. Rushmore moved over and continued on the attack on Flash. The crowd tried to get behind the fan favorite. Rushmore set Flash up and ran for that Atomic Boot but Flash ducked underneath! Rushmore got caught up in the ropes with his boot and that gave Flash enough time to turn and grab him -- Flash Bang! Sneer looked on in anger at ringside as Flash made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Steve Flash (Via Pinfall @ 4:39)

Match Rating: D

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[As Flash celebrated the win, the big video screen lit up to show...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

[...The USPW World Champion Enygma back within the interview area. He looked up at the camera for a moment and just stared. He tilted his head. He pointed toward the USPW World Title belt around his waist and made a motion to show that it's going to stay that way. He nodded and then walked off as we headed back to the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/T-Rex_alt1.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/FreddieDatsun.jpg

T-Rex vs. Freddie Datsun

[This one definitely ranks with one of the better matches that we've seen all night though honestly that's not saying too much right now, is it? The Jurassic Power was angry and came charging at Datsun and went on the offensive early and often. It would seem that T-Rex has been ousted from the Four Horsemen and that would make anyone angry. The American Everyman though was resilient and he wouldn't stay down and wouldn't let T-Rex lock in the Jurassic Crush without grabbing the ropes with his feet. During the bout, Des Davids came down to ringside to cheer on his partner. Des's presence was enough to be a definite distraction to T-Rex. This left the Jurassic Power open to an assault by Freddie Datsun! Datsun grabbed T-Rex suddenly and lifted him up -- Patriot Press! Datsun made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Freddie Datsun (Via Pinfall @ 3:39)

Match Rating: D+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DesDavids.jpg

[...Freddie Datsun got the upset victory here over T-Rex and he left the ring, giving his partner a hug. Des shook his head, saying he's not done. He entered the ring and waited for T-Rex to make it to his feet. When T-Rex did and turned -- Quarterback Sack! The high velocity spear took T-Rex to the mat and Davids played to the crowd for a moment! These two men will be meeting at Declaration Of Independence!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The big video screen lights up to show the backstage interview area and another wrestler ready to give his thoughts...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JimForce.jpg

[...The Force looked on toward the camera...]

The Force

"Come to me Forcemaniacs! I was sitting earlier this week in my home in Parts Unknown and I was thinking about the next battle that I have to wage against the man that wears the mask in The Masked Avatar. Avatar, you wear that mask to cover your face from the lies that you tell yourself each and every night in believing that you can defeat The Force. Well, you are going to have to take a good look in the mirror, Avatar, because those lies will not be the fuel you need to battle with a power as large as the Force! You could not even eat all of The Force candy bars, available at retail stores and concession stands near you, and gather enough Forcecholorians to defeat me. I am the living embodiment of the Force! I am the power behind the power! Saturday night, I shall go from my home in Parts Unknown to Louisiana and I shall defeat you!"

[...A few snarls and growls here and there and we're headed to the ring...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

Bryan Holmes vs. Chris Caulfield

[This match could be the main event anywhere in this country. It maybe should have been the main event this evening. The two men are well-versed in the psychology of wrestling and it showed in the opening minute as Holmes and Caulfield traded hold for hold ending in two stalemates in a row. Caulfield ended up settling into an armbar on Holmes following an armdrag and held on tight to it. Caulfield held Holmes down on the mat and switched over to a cross-arm breaker but Holmes would not give up. Caulfield eventually broke the hold and picked up Holmes. He put him in a hammerlock and then bodyslammed him down to the mat. Caulfield bounced off the ropes -- legdrop! He made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout!...]

[...Caulfield pulled Holmes to his feet and whipped him to the ropes -- Holmes ducked a clothesline and came back with a clothesline to the back of Caulfield's head! Holmes took down Caulfield with a knee lift and started shaking his arm, trying to get some feeling back in it after Caulfield focused on it early on. The next few minutes were spent with Holmes in control as James Justice made his way down to ringside to cheer on his Four Horsemen teammate. Holmes went for the Cyclone Shock Kick but Caulfield managed to avoid it and the kick hit the referee! Caulfield moved to his feet and grabbed Holmes, hooking him for the Danger Drop! James Justice slid inside the ring but Chris Caulfield saw him! The two began exchanging blows in the center of the ring but Holmes is still active and caught Caulfield with a kick to the back of the knee! Justice grabbed Caulfield -- Liberation Slam! The crowd booed as Justice exited the ring and watched as the referee started to wake up. Holmes pulled Caulfield up and hooked him -- Final Impact! The bridge and pinfall is made: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Bryan Holmes (Via Pinfall @ 10:12)

Match Rating: C+

Match #7

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Liberty_jhd2.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

Non Title

James Justice vs. Enygma

[As Justice entered the ring to join Bryan Holmes, the lights dimmed. Caulfield managed to exit the ring as the focus turned toward the crowd as spotlights began to move around. The focus turned to one area where USPW World Champion Enygma was standing beside a sign 'Enygma style Justice!' The crowd popped for his presence and he made his way down toward the ring. He leaped over the railing and shook hands with Chris Caulfield before both entered the ring! Enygma went after Justice and Caulfield brawled with Holmes! The four men battled it out in the ring until Caulfield and Holmes' fight went out of the ring. That is when the bell sounded and the match officially began. Enygma's focus went right to the leg of James Justice, hitting him with a sharp shoulder to the knee and then a kick to the ankle! He brought Justice over near the ringpost and slid out of the ring. Enygma looked to the crowd for a moment and then BANGED Justice's ankle against the post!...]

[...The crowd enjoyed it as Enygma played to them for a moment. But Enygma looked to the ramp as Giant Redwood came out from the back. Redwood stood tall at ringside, an obvious red-headed distraction to Enygma. The distraction worked as Enygma took his eye off the ball, leading to Justice getting the advantage. Justice was working on one leg, though, as he took control of Enygma. He dropped the Champ with a hanging vertical suplex. He made a cover: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! The crowd erupted at the kickout. Justice continued an assault on the back of Enygma, as much as he could on one leg. Justice tossed Enygma out of the ring, letting Giant Redwood do the dirty work. Holmes and Caulfield had disappeared to the back earlier on but Bryan Holmes and Tyson Baine both came down to the ringside area at this point...]

[...Justice hooked Enygma for the Liberation Slam but Enygma started throwing elbows! The USPW World Champion broke free from the hold Justice had him in. Enygma sent a low dropkick to the knee and Justice folded like a bad hand in poker. Enygma looked to the crowd for a moment before he grabbed the bad ankle of Justice -- Enygma Variation! The crowd popped for the finishing hold! Justice reached for the ropes but they were out of reach! Justice's face twisted in pain! Justice raised his hand in the air -- and Giant Redwood stomped on the back of the head of Enygma! The referee called for the bell!]

Winner: Enygma (Via Disqualification @ 9:10)

Match Rating: C

[...The rest of the Horsemen swarmed into the ring and attacked Enygma! Enygma was seriously outnumbered! Bryan Holmes dropped him hard with the Cyclone Shock Kick! But the crowd cheered as two more men came running in from the back...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg

[...Chris Caulfield and Bruce The Giant came into the ring! Caulfield went after Justice, Bruce went after Baine! But the numbers game started to catch up with even them! It was 4 on 3 until...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SamStrong_alt.jpg

[...Sam Strong??? Sam Strong came out of the back wearing his old wrestling uniform! Strong was limping with the cast on his leg. He entered the ring and stared down James Justice. Strong...removed the cast! He tossed the cast at Justice and went into a brawl! It looks like Sam Strong is the fourth member of Team Caulfield! It's a 4 on 4 brawl to end the show!]

Aargh! The prediction confusion...:D

USPW National Title Match: Peter Valentine defends vs. Nicky Champion

Time to shake things up a bit?

The Masked Avatar vs. The Force

Can't see any advantage for an Avatar victory.

Greg Gauge vs. Captain USA

Losing to USA would be the ultimate embarrassment for any debuting superstar!

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Towers of Power defend vs. Performance Class

Keep the Towers on top, and keep Class doing the teaching.

Top Contender Match To USPW World Television Title: Anger vs. Java vs. Freddie Datsun

Tough one, but Datsun seems to be the least tag-teamy of him and Java, whilst Anger is heel as is Jones.

Mystery Opponent Hand Selected By Belle Bryden vs. Alicia Strong

It'd have to be some surprise to beat a Strong.

T-Rex vs. Des Davids

Rex is on his way out, otherwise I'd have gone Prehistoric with this one.

James Justice, Tyson Baine, Bryan Holmes and Giant Redwood vs. Chris Caulfield, Enygma, Bruce The Giant and Sam Strong

I think an Enygma five-way will probably the most interesting outcome in the long-term.

Bruce and Sam on the same team looks like a Horsemen disbanding to me - you may build them up again slightly differently though. A couple of title changes predicted on what should be a major and interesting show.</p>

I would like to see Caulfield's team win but something doesn't quite add up. maybe it's the inclusion of Sam Strong. Maybe he might turn on USPW. Something Hogan-esque.

USPW DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE!

Saturday Week 4 May 2010

Location: Louisiana Auditorium (South East)

Attendance: 10,000

Overall Rating: C

PPV Buyrate: .97

There was a feeling that some of the angles used did not reach the standards set by the in-ring action.

I think this show might have actually hurt our popularity overall.

[The show opens within the jam-packed Louisiana Auditorium! It's standing room only here! A 'USPW' chant breaks out through the crowd but the chant turns to boos with the first clomp of horses along a cobblestone drive. Out from the back walks four men who the crowd really don't like...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Liberty_jhd2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GiantRedwood.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpg

[...Is tonight the last night that we're going to see the Four Horsemen together as a unit? Is Giant Redwood even a Horsemen member? The four men enter the ring with Baine handing a microphone over to the leader and spokesman of the group: James Justice...]

James Justice

"First of all, you people, you DUDES need to shut your mouths and listen to what I have to say because it's important."

[...Ohhhh yeah, that went over like gangbusters. BOO!...]

James Justice

"Yeah, I figured you idiots would keep booing but that's alright because I have an announcement to make. Since the Four Horsemen are going to win our match tonight in War Games, we have to decided to sponsor the first ever Horsewoman! This is a woman who is head and shoulders above the rest of the women athletes here in USPW. Let's bring her out right now."

[...The Horsemen music begins to play again as the crowd turns to see who is coming out. The fans in the arena are surprised when a female figure walks out...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/CherryBomb.jpg

[...It's Cherry Bomb! Cherry Bomb holds up four fingers as she walks down to the ring and slides inside. She shakes hands with James Justice and then snatches the microphone from his other hand, flashing a devious smile...]

Cherry Bomb

"That's right, USPW, I am the first ever Horsewoman. Keep booing me because that's how I know I'm doing my job."

[...The boos continue, getting louder...]

Cherry Bomb

"Alright, stop now. I said stop! Stop it!"

[...Cherry Bomb is quickly getting more and more agitated by the boos. She grabs her hair and begins pulling on it. Giant Redwood steps forward and pulls her in close...]

James Justice

"Good, good Redwood. You keep her calm. We don't want her exploding tonight. Tonight is going to be the night that I personally take out each and every member of Chris Caulfield's team. Tonight, the Four Horsemen earn the title of being the best. Tonight, we declare our independence from USPW and their laws. Tonight, Justice is served."

[...The Four Horsemen music starts up again and the four men and a woman move to exit the ring. What a way to kick off the show...]

USPW National Title Match

Peter Valentine defends vs. Nicky Champion

[Our opening contest was a National title match, which was better than one might think it would be. Valentine took Nicky Champion to task early in the bout, focusing on the arm and shoulder of Champion. This would not only disable the function of the Hawkeye Hammer but also set up Nicky for the Heart Breaker finisher. A turning point within the match came when Valentine tried to propel himself into the corner with a shoulder to the gut but came up empty when Nicky Champion moved out of the way. Champion twisted his body and rolled Valentine into a sunset flip: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout...]

[...Champion got to his feet and hit Valentine with a dropkick but also landed on that hurt shoulder. He grabbed it and tried shaking it to get some feeling back into it but it was obvious throughout his advantage that he was favoring that shoulder. The ending came when Nicky went for a corner splash but came up empty, hitting his shoulder into the turnbuckle. Valentine rolled him up and put his feet on the middle rope for added leverage: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Peter Valentine (Via Pinfall @ 5:32; Peter Valentine retains the USPW National Title.)

Match Rating: C-

[...As soon as the bell sounded, Valentine rolled out of the ring and grabbed his National Title belt. He moved backward up the ramp, raising the title while Nicky Champion looked steamed inside the ring, staring him down. These two are far from done, it would seem.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd was not pleased with the end-result of that match. However, they did turn into some cheers when the big video screen lit up and focused in on the USPW World Title belt. The cameras zoomed out to reveal...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

[...Enygma staring out of the eyes of his mask. He stood within the interview area and tilted his head to the side. He looked like he had something to say but was silent. He pointed to the belt around his waist and then to himself and then gave a thumbs up as we headed back to the ring...]

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TheMaskedAvatar.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JimForce.jpg

The Masked Avatar vs. The Force

[it's time for a battle here with a man in a mask and a man in face paint. This should be fun. But actually it was better than many would have thought coming into the bout. Perhaps that is because it was short but short and sweet, right? The Force was mostly dominant against the Masked Avatar, getting the crowd pumped as people were holding up his action figure and posters. The Force dropped Avatar with a hard clothesline and then a vertical suplex that sent Avatar down hard to the mat. The Force picked up Avatar and hooked him -- Full Force! He connected with his finisher and made a cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: The Force (Via Pinfall @ 4:53)

Match Rating: C-

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GregGauge.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/CaptainUSA.jpg

Greg Gauge vs. Captain USA

[This one is a debut match here in USPW and as many people have noted, debut matches generally don't go well for the person debuting. One of the positives within this match was the natural chemistry that these two had inside the ring. Perhaps USA had some hand in the training of the Keith son? No matter though because even with the chemistry the match wasn't that great. There was a sign out in the audience that was held up during this match: 'Captain USA for President!' However, for the most part, the crowd was definitely not alive during the match as Gauge focused on the leg of Captain USA. When Gauge hooked on the Proton Lock like his daddy taught him it was academic that USA gave up.]

Winner: Greg Gauge (Via Submission @ 4:40)

Match Rating: D-

[...The crowd booed the victory over Captain USA a little bit. Most figured it was a foregone conclusion, really. But Gauge reached outside the ring and was handed a microphone...]

Greg Gauge

"I know for a fact that this is the first time that many of you fans have seen Greatness within the ring. Most of you only see mediocrity like Des Davids or even old man Bruce. None of the wrestlers here or anywhere will ever come close to knowing what Greatness truly is except for one. One man who will rule the USPW wrestling ring. That one man is to be known as Greatness. That one man is..well..me, Greg Gauge. Captain USA felt it tonight and many more will feel it within the future. They will know once and for all that I'm Greatness and they're not."

[...Greg tosses the microphone out of the ring and heads to the back...]

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match

The Towers of Power defend vs. Performance Class

[it's time for another title match and this one should be a good one between these two teams. Performance Class started with the technical wrestling in the center of the ring. Once a larger foe is taken to the mat, his height is no longer his advantage and that is what happened here in the early moments of this contest. Flash and Oxford tagged in and out like a well-oiled tag team, surprising the more experienced duo. Interference by Shane Sneer turned the tide on Performance Class, though, when he tripped Robert Oxford from ringside. Oxford fell face-first to the mat and the Towers of Power took the advantage...]

[...Mick Muscles and Danny Rushmore began using frequent tags, keeping Oxford in their corner. They dropped Oxford with a double flapjack and Muscles made a cover: 1 -- 2 -- Broken up! Steve Flash's presence in the ring, though, was a distraction to the official and this led to Shane Sneer tossing in one of the USPW World Tag Team Title belts! Muscles stood, waiting for Oxford to get to his feet. He was poised with the belt. But the referee turned around! Referee Jez McArthuer saw Muscles with the title belt and stepped between Muscles and Oxford, pointing at the belt and threatening to disqualify The Towers of Power! Shane Sneer leaped on the apron and was given the belt by Mick Muscles and as this happened Robert Oxford made the tag! As the tag was made, the cameras showed a sign within the audience: 'Oxford and Flash - Old Folk's Home Dream Tag Team!'...]

[...Steve Flash came in and hit Muscles with a dropkick and then a kick to the gut for Danny Rushmore! Flash sent Muscles to the ropes -- Flash Bang! He hit his finisher and made the cover as the referee turned around: 1 -- 2 -- the referee stopped counting??? Referee Jez McArthuer told Flash that he never saw the tag! The crowd booed because it was clearly there but the referee says that Steve Flash is not the legal man! As Flash is tied up with the referee, Robert Oxford enters the ring and makes a quick cover on Mick Muscles! But the referee is too busy to see it! Danny Rushmore is given one of the title belts and he enters the ring, sizing up Oxford. Rushmore drops -- Oxford moves! Rushmore hit his own partner with the belt! Oxford tosses Rushmore over the top rope and moves over, tagging in Steve Flash within the referee's view this time! Flash came in as Shane Sneer and Danny Rushmore pulled Mick Muscles out! The crowd boos as The Towers of Power and Shane Sneer back up the ramp, pointing to their belts and the fact that they are still within their possession. Referee Jez McArthuer has no choice but to count them out and award the match but not the titles to Performance Class!]

Winners: Performance Class (Via Countout @ 8:22; The Towers of Power retain the USPW World Tag Team Titles)

Match Rating: C

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd is upset about the fact that the Towers retain the belts but also happy that Performance Class gets the win. The big video screen lights up to show the backstage interview area and a certain American Everyman...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/FreddieDatsun.jpg

[...Freddie Datsun is pacing for a moment before he looks toward the camera...]

Freddie Datsun

"We are very nearly halfway through the year and this year has not been a good year for the American Everyman. I lost the tag belts with Des and I haven't been a frequent winner on the television shows and almost nonexistant on the pay-per-views. But tonight that is all going to change. Tonight, I have been given an opportunity to win a shot at the USPW World Television Title. Java, I have a lot of respect for you as a veteran of this business but you don't represent these people out here. Anger, you sold out to Shane Sneer and the Coca Cola Corporation. Tonight, I am not only going to win the match for myself and for the shot at a title but I am going to win the match for every man, woman and child out there who still believes in a dream. Tonight is my dream come true."

[...Freddie turns and walks off. His match is next!...]

Top Contender Match To USPW World Television Title

Anger vs. Java vs. Freddie Datsun

[Another pretty good showing here in the matches. All three men were in the ring at the same time instead of having to tag out or anything. Datsun and Java double-teamed on Anger in the early-goings, leading Shane Sneer to yell about cheating at ringside. When Anger was tossed out of the ring, Java turned on Datsun with a big headbutt! This title shot is much too important for any partnerships to last. A brawl ensued between Java and Datsun in the center of the ring. Datsun made the mistake of throwing a punch to the hard head of Java and appears to have hurt his own hand in the process. Java picked up Datsun on his shoulders -- samoan drop! Java made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- Broken up by Anger! Where did he come from???...]

[...Anger picked up Datsun and set him up for the Demon Slam but Datsun managed to twist around and drop behind Anger! German Suplex with a bridge: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Datsun got to his feet and took a clothesline from Java! Java grabbed Anger and set him up in the corner. Java yelled some type of tribal scream before he charged in the corner -- corner splash! Java ran all of his weight into the corner, hitting Anger! Anger took a few steps out of the corner and fell to the mat, leaving Shane Sneer angry at ringside! Java climbed the turnbuckles as there was a disturbance within the crowd. Java looked over to see what was going on and from the crowd appeared Demon Spite! Spite stood in the front row with his arms crossed over his chest. The distraction gave Freddie Datsun time to get up and he went over to Java, grabbing him and putting him on his shoulders -- Patriot Press! What a move by Datsun! Datsun looked toward Anger on the mat and picked him up but Anger hit a punch to the gut. Shane Sneer held up the bottle of Coca Cola, giving Anger the source for his power! Anger body slammed Datsun to the mat and then went over to Java -- Demon Slam! Anger made a cover: 1 -- 2 -- Anger moved off Java and got to his feet! He didn't win the match, though! Anger started yelling down at Demon Spite while Shane Sneer and the Coca Cola tried to get him to pay attention! Sneer finally got his attention and Anger turned, grabbed by Freddie Datsun -- Patriot Press! Datsun made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Freddie Datsun (Via Pinfall @ 8:16)

Match Rating: C

[...Demon Spite exited the ringside area as quickly and silently as he came while his former partner was being pinned. Datsun rose up and got his hand raised to cheers from the crowd. Suddenly he was blindsided from out of nowhere...]

[...USPW World Television Champion Andre Jones hit him in the back and shoulders with the belt! Andre put the boots to him and then picked him up, setting him up for the Blast From The Past! But Java got to his feet and charged Jones! Jones released and ducked out of the ring. Java helped Freddie Datsun to his feet inside the ring and Datsun glared daggers out at Andre Jones. Jones pointed to his belt and Datsun made the 'belt' motion at his waist! Who is the better man?...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BelleBryden.jpg

[...USPW Women's Champion Belle Bryden! She was wagging a finger into the face of the other woman...]

Belle Bryden

"Tonight it is your job to take care of Alicia Strong, Amber. Tonight, you can earn yourself a shot at the gold and every woman in this industry wants a shot at the belt around my waist. Though it couldn't look any better around another woman's waist, you would definitely be my second choice..."

[...The towel came off and the other woman stood up, moving to the side to reveal her face...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AmberAllen.jpg

[...The USPW debut of Amber Allen here!...]

Amber Allen

"Look, Belle, like you totally have anything to worry about. You and I, like, both know that I'm way better than Alicia. Look at her! She looks like her father and he wasn't even good looking in his prime for a man. Maybe someone should like teach her to do a headstand and walk backward. She would at least look a little better. Tonight, don't worry about that match, Belle. I am totally gonna take care of things."

[...Amber and Belle shake hands and Amber walks out because her match is next!...]

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AmberAllen.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpg

Amber Allen vs. Alicia Strong

[The surprise opponent wasn't so much of a surprise tonight because of the last segment so Alicia had at least a few minutes to get prepared for this match. Alicia started off quick and strong against Amber, having obviously heard the comments that Amber made before the match. Alicia hit a press and began throwing punches to the face of Amber Allen, making her cover up quickly! Referee Baby Jamie had to pull Alicia back and that is when Amber took the advantage with a cheap shot while Jamie was holding Alicia. Amber body slammed Alicia to the mat and made a quick cover: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout!...]

[...Amber had the advantage for a couple of minutes, working over Alicia in various body parts, a general wearing down of her opponent. A turning point within the match came as Amber had the advantage and Belle Bryden came down to the ring. Belle stood in the corner of Amber Allen and Amber set Alicia on the top turnbuckle. Amber did a hair-flip and then climbed up, setting Alicia up for a Superplex but Alicia blocked it! She hooked Amber and sent her down face-first to the mat with a facebuster off the turnbuckle! What a move! Alicia got to her feet and waited for Amber to rise up. Alicia charged -- Strong Arm Tactic! Alicia made a cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Alicia Strong (Via Pinfall @ 5:57)

[...The crowd cheered as Alicia pointed down toward ringside and Belle Bryden! She made the 'belt' motion around her waist, showing that she wants the USPW Women's Title belt! Alicia pumped her arms in the air to cheers from the crowd and then cupped her ear like her father used to do! The crowd went wild! Alicia smiled to the crowd reaction and then exited the ring as Belle checked on Amber...]

[...Chris Caulfield tossed the bandana aside and focused in on the camera...]

Chris Caulfield

"James Justice, take a good look in my eyes. I am the last figure that you're going to see in that ring tonight. You and I, we have a history. We have gone from best friends to bitter enemies when you turned on me to form the Four Horsemen. I have been waiting for a very long time to get my hands on you and tonight inside the steel cages you are going to have nowhere to run. You are going to have nowhere to hide. Tonight, you are going to bring the Hardcore out of the American. Tonight, at Declaration of Independence, I declare that you're going to get your butt kicked and we will come full circle. It was through me that the Horsemen were born and it will be through me that the Horsemen will die."

T-Rex vs. Des Davids

[No one is entirely sure what to make of this match. Is the Jurassic Power still a Four Horsemen member or was he kicked out in favor of Giant Redwood? Some fans in the crowd know that it is a moot point because of that dang ole internet thing letting out the knowledge that this will be T-Rex's last match here in USPW. To that end, Des Davids dominated the early-goings of the match. The Jurassic Power didn't seem to know what hit him early on in the match. Davids knocked T-Rex over the top rope and into the second ring on the far side, the first time that this second ring has been used tonight but it won't be the last!...]

[...Des and the referee followed T-Rex over and the match continued in the second ring with the referee shrugging and allowing it. Davids continued to dominate the man who once went on a big winning streak here in USPW. Davids caught T-Rex in a corner with a big corner splash! T-Rex staggered out as Davids bounced off the ropes -- Quarterback Sack! T-Rex was speared out of his boots and Davids made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Des Davids (Via Pinfall @ 7:40)

Match Rating: C-

[...Greg Gauge took out Davids with a clip to the knee! That's clipping! 15 yards! Repeat 1st down! In this case, though, the clipping wasn't followed by a yellow hankie. Instead, it was followed by a Proton Lock that had Davids fighting but unable to get out of it! The crowd booed as Gauge wore Davids down with the Proton Lock until Davids passed out from the pain! Gauge released the hold and pumped his fists to boos from the crowd. The second-generation wrestler exited the ring as EMTs tended to Des Davids.]

jhd1 Selected Match: War Games

If Horsemen Win, they get a 5 way title shot at the next PPV.

If Chris Caulfield's Team Wins, The Horsemen must disband

James Justice, Tyson Baine, Bryan Holmes and Giant Redwood vs. Chris Caulfield, Enygma, Bruce The Giant and Sam Strong

[The cage lowered from the ceiling to cover both rings. The door will be locked until it is time for a wrestler to enter. This is War Games! The first participant in War Games comes from the Four Horsemen team and is Bryan Holmes! Holmes enters the ring and leans back on the ropes, knowing that he has the cardio to last as long as is necessary tonight. The first member of Team Caulfield is the captain Chris Caulfield! These two will wrestle for five minutes alone together while a coin toss is being held backstage. Does it really take five minutes to toss a coin? These two fought each other just last Wednesday at USPW American Wrestling and they got into it early on in this one. Caulfield and Holmes exchanged some mat-wrestling in this early going. Neither were looking to expend a whole lot of energy in the early portion of the match, probably a smart strategy on both of their parts. Caulfield was irish-whipped into the turnbuckle and Holmes came in, catching a back elbow from The Hardcore American. Apparently, the coin flip has taken place backstage and as Caulfield hits Holmes with a butterfly suplex, the buzzer sounds for our next participant...]

[...James Justice comes walking out, looking toward the ring. As Justice reaches ringside, Caulfield is distracted by him, wanting to get his hands on the leader of the Four Horsemen but he forgot about Holmes. Holmes brings Caulfield to the mat with a Cyclone Shock Kick from behind! Justice enters the cage and puts the boots to Caulfield! The Horsemen have the one man advantage here and they put it to good use, finally making use of the steel cage as they take turns smashing Caulfield's head against the links! Justice grabs Caulfield and drops him with a Danger Drop to boos from the crowd! Caulfield's forehead has been busted open, probably from the cage shots! Holmes moves Caulfield along the mat toward a corner and then climbs up -- Moonsault -- Knees up! Somehow Chris Caulfield had the wherewithall to get his knees up and Holmes grabs his belly. The buzzer sounds...]

[...USPW World Champion Enygma comes running out from the back! He doesn't even have time to see the sign in the audience for him: 'Champ 4 Life: Enygma!' He just makes a beeline for the door and climbs the turnbuckles -- Missle Dropkick! Justice goes down to the mat! Enygma turns and hits Holmes with a clothesline! Enygma moves over to Caulfield, checking on his teammate. Enygma and Caulfield get to their feet and go after the two Horsemen members! Justice is thrown over the top rope to the second ring! Caulfield follows him over and Justice begs off! Caulfield charges right to him -- low blow! It's all legal here in War Games! Enygma sends Bryan Holmes into the cage on the other side as Justice throws a few punches to the already busted open forehead of Chris Caulfield! Justice knocks Caulfield back in a corner -- irish whip -- reversed! Justice hit the corner hard! He bounces out -- back body drop by Caulfield! The crowd cheers as The Hardcore American gets them going. The buzzer sounds...]

[...Tyson Baine comes walking out from the back and moving toward the ring. He is definitely an intimidating presence inside this cage. James Justice rakes the eyes of Chris Caulfield and then starts climbing the cage to get away! Tyson Baine enters the ring and clotheslines down Enygma! Bryan Holmes has been busted open inside the cage. Baine bounces off the ropes -- big boot to the head of the USPW World Champion! Justice, in the other ring, is kicking at Caulfield to keep him away. Baine steps over to that ring and mows down Caulfield with a big clothesline! The crowd is definitely not liking where this is going. Baine picks up Caulfield on his shoulder -- Snake Eyes into the steel cage! Caulfield bounces off the cage and Baine grabs him around the throat -- Hades Bomb! Justice drops down and makes a cover but there are no pinfalls in this match! Bryan Holmes stomps away at Enygma on the other side. Holmes grabs Enygma by the leg and hooks on a figure 4 leglock! Enygma has GOT to be in pain but he makes no sound! However, the buzzer does...]

[...The crowd looks to see who the next man is that's going to come out: Bruce The Giant comes rumbling down toward the ring! The former USPW World Champion is a man with a purpose! He steps inside the cage and immediately steps on Bryan Holmes' throat and then kicks the hold, breaking the figure 4 on Enygma! Holmes is holding his throat as though he cannot breathe! Bruce checks on Enygma for a moment and then heads over to the other ring where Chris Caulfield is not looking so good. Bruce comes face-to-face with Tyson Baine. The two big men begin throwing punches! This was one of the encounters we've been waiting for! The crowd went absolutely nuts as neither man would back down! James Justice whipped Caulfield away from the fighting and then threw his own punches to Bruce The Giant to give Tyson Baine the advantage! Baine kicked Bruce in the gut and then drove him to the mat with a thunderous DDT that nearly shook the ring with its power! Chris Caulfield staggered out of the corner as Enygma joined the fighting in the second ring as well. Enygma and Caulfield battled with Justice and Baine in that second ring as the buzzer went off...]

[...It's time for Giant Redwood and he's not coming alone! He has a steel chair in his right hand as he moves down toward the ring. No rule against it, right? He threatens an audience member who is holding up a sign: 'Die Redwood! Die!' with the chair but then continues on toward the ring. Redwood entered the ring and checked on Bryan Holmes but Holmes looks really out of it after the stomp on the throat. Redwood entered the second ring where the fighting is taking place and he slammed the chair on the back of Enygma! Caulfield took a chair shot to the head, effectively knocking him out, it would seem! Redwood raised the chair inside the ring to boos from the crowd. Redwood looked to Bruce The Giant, who was pulling himself up -- chair shot to the gut -- stopped! Bruce blocked it and pulls the chair away from Giant Redwood! Bruce looks around and the second ring empties of Horsemen as Bruce raises the chair! The sides are at a standstill until...the buzzer sounds...]

[...Sam Strong comes out from the back with a chair of his own! Strong charges down to the ring and he is met at the door by the Horsemen! Strong fights his way into the ring using the steel chair and the door closes! Now, it's fight to a submission! Chris Caulfield and Bryan Holmes are both hurting in seperate rings but both of them are barely concious so the match continues! Bruce exits into the first ring and teams with Sam, taking Horsemen members down with chair shots until James Justice is left! Justice leaps over the ropes to the second ring and then begins climbing the cage again! Justice hides out at the top of the cage as the rest of the Horsemen are slowly disabled by Sam Strong and Bruce The Giant! Enygma joins in the fighting as well and Chris Caulfield cannot even stand! Bryan Holmes got to his feet and went after Enygma with punches thrown! Enygma fought back though and Team Caulfield gained the advantage. They turned their attention to Giant Redwood and James Justice watched in horror as they hooked Redwood's head into one steel chair and raised the other one. 'I give up! I give up!' the words came uttered from the mouth of Giant Redwood! The match is over and the Horsemen must disband!]

Winners: Chris Caulfield, Enygma, Bruce The Giant and Sam Strong (Via Submission @ 25:28)

Match Rating: C+

[...The crowd went wild as Sam had the chair up, ready to bring it down on Giant Redwood but he was stopped by his partners. Everyone was busted open at some point in this match, even Enygma's mask had blood on it! The question is, is it his blood or someone else's? It doesn't really matter, though, because Team Caulfield is victorious tonight! The team members celebrate inside the ring as the show comes to a close! What an ending and we'll see you Wednesday for American Wrestling!]

I am in second place in both of your diaries!:(

Great show, I liked War Games. It was really well written.

And I hate getting this note, I seem to get it on every show that I seem to do.

I am glad you enjoyed War Games. It's one of my favorite matches to watch of all time. I just hope I was able to convey the brutality of it all.

You do have another month here in this one to catch up to #1 and awhile longer in the other diary since it's running to the end of the in-game year. Good luck to you and all the participants!

And on that note, I seem to get either that the angles elevated the card or lowered the card. It's hard for me to get them in between though of course I prefer them to elevate the card. One thing that I used to do in my old diary was tailor the angles to fit the wrestlers. So that even if there was an attack angle and the attacker had better entertainment than overness I'd use entertainment as what the angle is based on. I haven't really done that in either of my diaries on 2010 so much...yet. lol.
