Clarity
Howzabout making that Red Wings outfit into a "generic GDS" outfit? Ooh ooh, and you can use the splash screen from TEW 2005 for it too! You mean this http://i28.tinypic.com/16pg1z.jpg How would that help?
SeanMcFly
You mean this http://i28.tinypic.com/16pg1z.jpg How would that help? He wants it for his screen on 05 I would imagine.
fullMETAL
He wants it for his screen on 05 I would imagine. *slaps myself on forehead* I meant, use the splash screen as a texture for the shorts or the Jersey (because I just think it looks cool, d'ur), with the GDS logo instead of the Red Wings logo and the back saying TEW (or Ryland) and 05 or 10 (...or something). Stupid internet, screwing up the syntax and context...
Kobe1724
Anyone have any recommendations for good face paints to download? I suppose I can make it myself but if there are some good templates that would be awesome. ^_^
fullMETAL
I would probably recommend d/ling the Seam Guide for M4 (I think it's on Renderosity) and a nice set of Tribal style fonts to warp into facepaint. The Seam Guide (I think the maker's name was SnowSultan) is great to help with placement.

Self
Search Renderosity's free stuff for "Valens". That hair is designed for V4, but works perfectly fine for M4. Which is true for lots of hair props.

sockpuppet
So here's what I was thinking... About a month and a half ago, I lost my computer. Entirely. Kaput. Data from hard drive was irretrieveable, and thus all the cuts I was working on for PWO, OVW, CHIKARA, SHIMMER & ROH are all gone, as are my folders full of resources. Anyway, as I was browsing the Cornellverse rerender thread and this thread, a thought occurred to me; I like these graphics alot more than photographs. Now that's an issue for me because my skills with Daz are subpar at best. Try as I might, I just can't get a handle on it. What I can do, however, is write, organize and categorize. Professionally I write and in my spare time I'm an admitted baseball geek so statistics are second nature to me. So, here is my thought. I have downloaded a good number of the renders in this thread and wish to put them in a DB with full backgrounds, move sets, tag teams and the options for federations. By releasing this as a partial mod (work credited to ALL of the wonderful designers in this community of course) players will have a pool of pre-made wrestlers, teams, feds, etc. that they can import into their games from the DB. My opinion is that it will add variety and increase the playability of TEW 10 by increasing thte talent pool as well as decreasing the number of reused worker cuts seen when new workers are generated. Naturally, I will only release this partial mod so long as there are no objections to the use of the artwork. Otherwise I'll be content to use it for my own private game. Thoughts? You'll have to individually PM all of the artists for permission to use their work, if you're planning to release the mod. I imagine a lot of them will be fine with it, but you still have to ask. I've long since stopped caring what happens to my work, so feel free to use any of my renders in any way you see fit.
jtlant
I started playing around with bump maps and displacement a bit today and came up with this, based off an old render of El Ladron... New - with bump & displacement http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii145/jtlant/Random/ElLadron.png Old - no bump or displacement http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii145/jtlant/Random/ElLadron2.png I'm still working out the details on it, but I figured I'd share it with everyone. I'd never really played around with either setting much, but I'm pretty impressed with the way it simulated the raised portions of the mask. PeterHilton
The bumps look far more realistic, not that the original version looked bad. But with the bumps it makes it look more like a real mask. Also, for all the new renderers out there, (or the people who don't make masks as often) can you talk about how you got those weird ear bumps to go away? fullMETAL
Have you considered softer lighting? a spotlight with a deep shadow map maybe? It was my first TEW render using the "Elite" textures, which is why it looks so vastly different than one of my "default M4 texture" renders. I may have to play around with lighting on future renders with the Elite-o's to get it to look a little less...well, I'm not exactly sure what you were leaning towards there. (shrug) To be fair, I DID render him WITHOUT shadow maps because I was testing it out (the texture) and I didn't want to suddenly crash FFRender due to my tenuous USB connection. I'll probably do another trio of renders with him and use Shadow Maps this time. Anyways, here's a re-render I did of a previous generic female render (that I've dubbed "Veronica Vegas"): http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx166/FullMetalitia/Miscellaneous/TestGirl202.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx166/FullMetalitia/Miscellaneous/TestGirl204.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx166/FullMetalitia/Miscellaneous/TestGirl203.png VERONICA VEGAS MAY BE USED IN ANY AND ALL PRIVATE AND PUBLIC MODS. fullMETAL
I totally agree. The bump/displaced mask looks REAL. Maybe the judicious use of "seams" (stitching, yanno?) in the regular would've been able to fake the "realness" of the mask, but the bump/displacement (combo? or just one of them?) on the second looks like it can actually hang with the Rey Mysterio mask in a 20-minute epic. Can't wait to see more. Thanks. One more test. The effects come out a little better on this one... MJStark
I reworked a bunch of renders so I figured I would repost them. Just did clickable thumbnails for it so as to not destroy the thread. So many awesome renders There are tonnes of unrendered workers in the Board Effort mod if you're interested
i effin rule
So many awesome renders There are tonnes of unrendered workers in the Board Effort mod if you're interested Thanks! Unfortunately, all my renders are being used for my EffVerse mod that is a slow work in progress.

VBigB
Nice work Effin. I just had to post to vent a little bit. For anyone whose ever gotten a new computer for rendering or lost a hard drive I now feel your pain. I'm into my second week of re-installing my runtimes...this is taking forever (4 years worth of data). On the plus side I'm doing it in a more structured fashion than I used to, and my runtimes will all be on an external drive so it will be easier to move from computer to computer .
