Bit surprised the Red Devils are still so low down the rankings...

Alton Vicious (24) vs. Josh Jones (22) vs. Pierre DuPont (15) vs. Robert Brown (13)

Cant see any of the others getting a big enough push to leapfrog Samurai

Keith Adams (8) vs. Walter Morgan (7)

I hate Walter Morgan. DOnt want to be offensive, but his big, round, flat face just looks like he has a genetic defficiency

Merle O'Curle and Barry Griffin vs. 21st Century

Nice momentum for some top boys

Frank Burton (6) vs. Zack Macomber (4)

Rolling Frank Burton can be a huge star. Your own guy has taken a back seat recently

Woof, sorry I was away all weekend, I wrestled all day Saturday and some of Sunday.

Tuesday, Week 1, November 2012 (Shown Wednesday)

ROF Burning Championship Wrestling

Aston University Sports Hall (Midlands, UK)

Alton Vicious (24) vs. Josh Jones (22) vs. Pierre DuPont (15) vs. Robert Brown (13)

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Pierre DuPont defeated Alton Vicious, Josh Jones and Robert Brown in 7:56 when Pierre DuPont defeated Alton Vicious by pinfall with a Flying Fist Drop.

Pierre pulls out the surprise win here. The match isn't half bad either.

(D)

Keith Adams (8) vs. Walter Morgan (7)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Walter Morgan defeated Keith Adams in 9:03 by submission with a Wigan Wrench.

Walt is able to get some of his heat back as he looks strong in this one. Will he be able to work his way to the Man of Steel Championship or even the Ring of Fire Championship?

(C-)

Merle O'Curle and Barry Griffin vs. 21st Century

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Barry Griffin and Merle O'Curle defeated The 21st Century in 11:50 when Barry Griffin defeated Leigh Burton by submission with a Powerbomb Deathlock.

Sifu and Leigh get to be involved in a very good match. Hopefully, they'll see a bit of a rub from this one.

(C-)

Frank Burton (6) vs. Zack Macomber (4)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Frank Burton defeated Zack Macomber in 21:48 by pinfall with a Brainbuster.

Frank and I try the slow build and it doesn't let us down. Not quite the B- match from last week, but it'll do.

Keith Adams has not renewed his contract with us. He felt he was worth a lot more than we thought. We wish him the best and when he doesn't see work this next year, maybe we'll give him a chance to rethink his position.

Tuesday, Week 2, November 2012 (Shown Wednesday)

ROF Burning Championship Wrestling

Parliment Square (South, UK)

Alton Vicious brings up the mood of everyone in the locker room with his goofy antics. Hey, anything that makes these guys happy.

Josh Jones (22) vs. Leigh Burton (18)

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Leigh Burton defeated Josh Jones in 8:52 by submission with a Sleeper Hold.

Once these guys are better known, crowds everywhere will care about them. Just wait and see.

(D)

The Future is Now (Nigel Svensson and Wade Orson) vs. The Foreign Legion

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Future is Now defeated The Foreign Legion in 9:41 when Nigel Svensson defeated Pierre DuPont by submission with a Hyper Extension Arm Lock.

I finally decided to give Nigel and Wade a name. They don't let me down as a team and they sure didn't tonight, as they were paired against another highly technical team. Once they all learn psychology, look out.

(C-)

Hail Storm vs. The Red Devils © (ROF Tag Team Championship)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Red Devils defeated Hail Storm in 16:40 when Viktor Beskov defeated Simon Ice by submission with a Red Devil Lock. The Red Devils make defense number 5 of their Ring Of Fire Tag Championship titles.

Simon was really off his game, which is a bummer. Still a good match.

(C-)

Don Henderson (3) vs. Merle O'Curle © (Ring of Fire Championship)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Merle O'Curle defeated Don Henderson in 16:07 by submission with a Celtic Wreath. Merle O'Curle makes defense number 7 of his Ring Of Fire Championship title.

I expected better out of this one. Merle is amazing in the ring, but he should be able to coax a better performance out of Don.

The wrestling world honors Dread as he enters the Hall of Immortals.

Tuesday, Week 3, November 2012 (Shown Wednesday)

ROF Burning Championship Wrestling

Aston University Sports Hall (Midlands, UK)

Bernie Evans was the latest roster member to eat something horrid. I didn't take any action, because it's not a big deal. Bernie was thankful I didn't overreact.

Absolutely Flawless vs. Team UEW

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Absolutely Flawless defeated Team UEW in 5:53 when Lance Martin defeated Gordon Leve by pinfall with a Body Rocker.

Sigh, I just don't have the heart to get rid of the Martin brothers...

(D-)

JK Lee (23) vs. Alton Vicious (24)

In an extremely short match, Alton Vicious defeated JK Lee in 3:43 by pinfall with a Vicious Snap.

Yikes! Worst match we've seen in quite some time.

(E+)

Zack Macomber (7) vs. Sifu (11)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Zack Macomber defeated Sifu in 11:20 by submission with a Prawn Armlock.

Great chemistry displayed in this one. A good victory for me.

(C-)

Donny Damage (5) vs. Walter Morgan (6)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Donny Damage defeated Walter Morgan in 14:21 by pinfall.

As always, these two lack selling, but they are an excellent pairing to put together.

©

Barry Griffin © vs. Frank Burton (3) (Man of Steel Championship)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Frank Burton defeated Barry Griffin in 15:30 by pinfall with a Brainbuster. Frank Burton wins the Man of Steel Championship title.

Yikes, tons of penalties in this match brought down what should have been a no brainer main event to a lackluster display of wrestling. Frank's title victory is somewhat dampened.

Tuesday, Week 4, November 2012 (Shown Wednesday)

ROF Burning Championship Wrestling

Parliment Square (South, UK)

Lance Martin did his part to boost the locker room atmosphere and I appreciate it.

Don Henderson (5) vs. Josh Jones (22)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Don Henderson defeated Josh Jones in 8:10 by submission with a Scottish Deathlock.

I figured Josh could use one last chance to be on TV, so he got a shot against Don.

(D+)

The Red Devils © vs. 21st Century vs. The Foreign Legion vs. Walter Morgan and Zack Macomber (ROF Tag Team Championships)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Red Devils defeated The 21st Century, The Foreign Legion and Walter Morgan and Zack Macomber in 10:53; the order of elimination was The 21st Century first, then The Foreign Legion, and finally Walter Morgan and Zack Macomber. The Red Devils make defense number 6 of their Ring Of Fire Tag Championship titles.

Good win for the Devils, as they're able to defeat all of their opponents without much of a problem. Will anyone be able to defeat them?

(C-)

Wade Orson © vs. Nigel Svensson (9) vs. Simon Ice (10) vs. Robert Brown (11) (ROF Burning Championship)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Wade Orson defeated Nigel Svensson, Simon Ice and Robert Brown in 12:41 when Wade Orson defeated Simon Ice by pinfall with a Bounce Back. Wade Orson makes defense number 1 of his Ring Of Fire Burning Championship title.

Wade picks up the win here as well. Each contender looked good in this match, it should go a long way to making everyone look like that much more of a star.

Press Release from RingofFire.com

First things first, we would like to extend our thanks to Sifu for all his hard work. We regret to inform the Ring of Fire fans that we were not able to come to new terms with Sifu and he has been released from his contract.

Moving on, Ring of Fire is on the verge of a popularity increase in the UK. As such, we feel that it would be smart to change our format into a touring style. We will be taking the month of December off and starting a three month tour in January 2013. This tour will culminate with the Championship Scramble at the end of March.

We have already been in negotiations with some names to join us for the tour. Confirmed to join us are Martyn “Beast Bantom” Staddon, Terrence Bedlam, and Henry “War Machine” Rohde. Turnbuckle Dojo graduate, Lenny Mochin, has also made his way onto the ROF roster, the young technician has a great upside to him, as long as he can overcome the stigma of being openly gay.

Ring of Fire will bring fans two shows a week. ROF Better Than the Best will take place on Tuesdays and ROF Pure Pro Wrestling will take place every Friday. With your support, we hope to continue our quest to reach the top of the wrestling world!

Let's take a look at the latest card positions for the Ring of Fire roster... courtesy of RingofFire.com

Main Event:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/DonHenderson.jpg

Don Henderson:

Despite always coming up short in the long run, Don continues to find himself as a perpetual contender at the top of the card. Perhaps he'll be able to make the big step and win the Ring of Fire Championship.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/DonnyDamage.jpg

Donny Damage:

Actually pushed as an occasional wrestler, Donny is a staple in the main event. He is the most popular wrestler on the roster, but is beginning to suffer from decay. He'll be an important gatekeeper as I'll know that anyone he chooses to put over is truly a star.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/JohnnyStones.jpg

Frank Burton:

The current Man of Steel Champion is one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster. Frank is a big name star and wants Merle's Ring of Fire Championship. Whether he will be able to put the champion down is yet to be seen.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/MerleOCurle.jpg

Merle O'Curle:

Ring of Fire's Champion. Merle has been the top guy in Ring of Fire for several years and doesn't look like he plans on giving up his spot anytime soon.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/ViktorBeskov.jpg

Viktor Beskov:

Viktor was able to get extremely over extremely quickly along with his partner Yuri. He is one half of the ROF Tag Team Champions and will no doubt find his way into the singles scene sooner rather than later.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/YuriIliakov.jpg

Yuri Iliakov:

Yuri is the other half of the Ring of Fire Tag Team Champions. He has shot right up the card alongside his partner Viktor and shows no signs of stopping.

Upper Midcard:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/BarryGriffin.jpg

Barry Griffin:

Barry's recent loss of the Man of Steel Championship has really injured his standing in the eyes of the fans. It's going to take a lot to recapture the magic year Barry just came off of. He has the skills, but his body is breaking down rapidly.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/NigelSvensson-1.jpg

Nigel Svensson:

Nigel has been steadily improving since his pro wrestling debut. He will continue to prove as long as he stays healthy. His friendship with Wade Orson has bloomed into a tag team that seems to have the best shot at taking the Tag Titles from the Red Devils.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/BritishSamurai.jpg

Robert Brown:

Bobby isn't the most popular member of the roster anymore, but he'll never be a bad hand to have in the ring. He's likely to settle into a gatekeeper role, unless a new idea comes up surrounding him.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/WadeOrson.jpg

Wade Orson:

Wade is the current ROF Burning Champion and with good cause. He's been the most consistent of the younger wrestlers on the roster. He's worth every dollar he makes and as long as he continues to improve his psychology, he'll be the number one wrestler in the UK.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/WalterMorgan.jpg

Walter Morgan:

Walt is always ping-ponging between the upper midcard and the main event. His recent struggles have placed him in the upper midcard without much wiggle room back into the main event. He'll have to reprove himself in the environment he enjoys most. The ring.

Midcard:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/WarMachine.jpg

Henry Rohde:

The War Machine is a huge wrestler who trained alongside Sifu and Leigh Burton. For a super heavyweight, he has very impressive performance skills. If he can pick up the technical aspect as well, he'll be a force that is hard to stop.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/JoshJones.jpg

Josh Jones:

The journeyman from Canada has proven his worth very quickly here in ROF. It's likely that just as Josh makes his name in the UK, he'll be snatched up by one of the larger promotions from North America or Japan.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/KellyMartin.jpg

Kelly Martin:

The lesser half of Absolutely Flawless. Kelly doesn't have the talent of his brother and it's apparent. Kelly hasn't been able to succeed in any singles matches, which has been difficult for him.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/LanceMartin.jpg

Lance Martin:

One half of Absolutely Flawless, Lance Martin has fallen out of grace since the loss of the Burning Championship. He and his brother have found themselves on the losing end of many battles over the past year. He has the ability, but he needs to find the way to back them up.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/LeighBurton.jpg

Leigh Burton:

Now that his partner Sifu has left Ring of Fire, Leigh is going to enter a new phase of his career. Will he be able to show his skills as a singles wrestler, or will he find a new tag team partner?

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/PierreDuPont_alt1.jpg

Pierre DuPont:

The more talented member of the Foreign Legion, Pierre has carried his brother a fair amount over the years. Only time will tell if Pierre has what it takes to sick around.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/SimonIce.jpg

Simon Ice:

Simon has received a great boost in his popularity due to his pairing with Frank Burton. The days of Hail Storm may be over though, as Frank holds the Man of Steel Championship. Perhaps Simon Ice will feel the power of the Burning Championship in his near future.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/ZackMacomber-1.jpg

Zack Macomber:

I continue to have the goal of being the most well known wrestler in the world. The fans love me in the Midlands and London area. I'm going to try and spread that love to the rest of the UK with this upcoming tour.

Lower Midcard:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/GordonLeve.jpg

Gordon Leve:

He's young, consistent, and has a good grasp of the basics. Gordon has been improving thanks to his pairing with Jamie Anderson and will continue to grow as he gets older.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/JacquesDuPont_alt1.jpg

Jacques Dupont:

Pierre's twin brother, but the slightly crappier half of the Foreign Legion. Jacques has the talent, but he needs to find a way to show it in the ring and pick up some victories.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/JamieAnderson.jpg

Jamie Anderson:

Jamie is a solid hand to have in the lower reaches of the card. He;ll be able to carry most wrestlers to a passable match. His team with Gordon Leve is also a fairly enjoyable pairing to watch.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/JKLee.jpg

JK Lee:

JK is looking forward to the touring schedule as an opportunity to make it into the ring more often. To that extent, he could show that he has the talent necessary to make it in ROF.

Openers:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/AltonVicious.jpg

Alton Vicious:

Alton has had a few good matches in him, but since the departure of Riddick Jordan, he has been a bit lost. If he can get some focus, he could ride his skills to the top again.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/RiddickJordan.jpg

Riddick Jordan:

Riddick has officially been brought back to ROF as this update is being written. The reunification of the Northern Lights should add a little extra depth to the tag team division.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/Bedlam.jpg

Terrence Bedlam:

Bedlam has the chance to go either way in ROF. He's a bigger wrestler, but he's got a bit of talent to back it up as well.

Jobbers:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/LennyMochin.jpg

Lenny Mochin:

Lenny is a newbie to the wrestling world. He's completely unknown, but particularly intense in the ring. He has the technical skills needed to survive, but it's to be seen if he can thrive.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/godnightshade/BeastBantom.jpg

Martyn Staddon:

The wrestler also known as Beast Bantom is another big wrestler that is normally out of place in ROF. It's quite possible that he'll be able to show the crowds that brawling can be just as entertaining as chain.

Barry has been working for both Hinote and SAISHO for quite awhile. I like Barry, but he's starting to break down and isn't an autopush main eventer anymore, so I felt he needs to go back to a true gatekeeper role.

The next 84 matches are set. That's right, Ring of Fire is bringing back the Multi-Block concept.

Block A:

Alton Vicious

Barry Griffin

Donny Damage

Jacques DuPont

Josh Jones

Martyn Staddon

Viktor Beskov

Block B:

JK Lee

Lance Martin

Leigh Burton

Lenny Mochin

Merle O'Curle

Wade Orson

Zack Macomber

Block C:

Don Henderson

Frank Burton

Jamie Anderson

Kelly Martin

Robert Brown

Simon Ice

Terrence Bedlam

Block D:

Gordon Leve

Henry Rohde

Nigel Svensson

Pierre DuPont

Riddick Jordan

Walter Morgan

Yuri Iliakov

A victory is worth 3 points, a draw is worth 1 point, and a loss is worth 0 points.

The wrestlers who place in the top two of their respective blocks will move on to either a Championship Block or a Championship Tournament to be capped off at the Championship Scramble at the end of March. The winner will receive a $2500 bonus and a shot at the Ring of Fire Championship.

Anyone have a thought on who is going to win?

I've been attempting to keep up with this, but, like a lot of new dynasties that have popped up, I've been neglecting to predict and give feedback on my hiatus from writing. Really enjoy your Block tournaments, so I guess I picked a good time to start predicting again :p

Block B: Lance Martin (0) vs. Leigh Burton (0)

You've let it be known you don't want to let go of the Martins yet, but the sky is the limit for Burton

Big debut win over the fading-out Anderson

The Foreign Legion vs. The Red Devils © (ROF Tag Team Championships)

Really surprised the Devils have risen so high - I'd like to see Beskov vs Curle

Block D: Gordon Leve (0) vs. Walter Morgan (0)

Block A: Donny Damage (0) vs. Josh Jones (0)

Damage will be gone soon, but not this soon - he would whine if Jones won here

Merle O'Curle and Zack Macomber vs. Frank Burton and Robert Brown

Merle's the man, and Brown's been long gone from the ME that I don't see him winning here

It looks like we have competition in the UK again. High Impact Wrestling has opened up in the Midlands and is being run by Geordie Jimmy Morris. The product promises explosive action. If they can stick around and deal with the crappiness of the UK wrestling scene, then we'll be happy that the kids have a place to work once a month. They have $100,000 in the bank, so hopefully they'll be around for awhile.

Tuesday, Week 1, January 2013.

ROF Better Than the Best

Crescent Crown Pub (Ireland, UK)

Block B: Lance Martin (0) vs. Leigh Burton (0)

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Leigh Burton defeated Lance Martin in 7:26 by submission with a Sleeper Hold.

Leigh picks up the opening match victory tonight in a dominating performance. Does Leigh have what it takes to place in his block? We shall soon see.

(D-)

Block C: Jamie Anderson (0) vs. Terrence Bedlam (0)

In an extremely poor match, Jamie Anderson defeated Terrence Bedlam in 10:01 by pinfall with a Savage Knee.

Bedlam is suffering from ring rust, big time. Jamie tried keeping him strong, but the rust was no good.

(E)

The Foreign Legion vs. The Red Devils © (ROF Tag Team Championships)

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, The Red Devils defeated The Foreign Legion in 7:34 when Yuri Iliakov defeated Pierre DuPont by pinfall with a Moscow Dynamite. The Red Devils make defense number 7 of their Ring Of Fire Tag Championship titles.

The Red Devils look good for their first foray into Ireland. A big victory for the monster tag team, despite the match lacking psychology.

Block D: Gordon Leve (0) vs. Walter Morgan (0)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Walter Morgan defeated Gordon Leve in 7:52 by submission with a Wigan Wrench.

Walt dominates the young technician in this one and comes away looking pretty good in the process.

Block A: Donny Damage (0) vs. Josh Jones (0)

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Donny Damage defeated Josh Jones in 14:21 by pinfall.

Excellent match between these two great wrestlers. The match is surprisingly even despite Donny being involved.

Merle O'Curle and Zack Macomber vs. Frank Burton and Robert Brown

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Merle O'Curle and Zack Macomber defeated Frank Burton and Robert Brown in 31:14 when Zack Macomber defeated Robert Brown by submission with a Prawn Armlock.

Can't beat a great tag match to finish the night off. Merle and I snag the victory in a slow build of a match.

John snags the victory by correctly guessing the main event. It looks like you guys didn't have faith in Jamie Anderson.

Friday, Week 1, January 2013.

ROF Pure Pro Wrestling

Parliment Square (South, UK)

Alton Vicious vs. Kelly Martin

In an extremely poor match, Alton Vicious defeated Kelly Martin in 7:06 by pinfall with a Vicious Snap.

Kelly was really off his game, couldn't go all out, and still doesn't sell worth a damn. Oh well, it's just the opener.

(E+)

Lenny Mochin and Martyn Staddon vs. Zack Macomber and Henry Rohde

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Henry Rohde and Zack Macomber defeated Lenny Mochin and Martyn Staddon in 6:04 when Zack Macomber defeated Lenny Mochin by submission with a Prawn Armlock.

I dominate and there is no ring rust, excellent. That's what I wanted to see.

(D-)

Jamie Anderson vs. Pierre DuPont

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Pierre DuPont defeated Jamie Anderson in 13:23 by pinfall with a Flying Fist Drop.

Pierre pulls out the win in a pretty good match. Could we finally see a singles DuPont push?

(D)

Block D: Nigel Svensson (0) vs. Riddick Jordan (0)

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Nigel Svensson defeated Riddick Jordan in 6:41 by pinfall with a Running Knee Drive.

Riddick is definitely showing some ring rust. I figured that so he was protected in the match.

(D)

Block B: JK Lee (0) vs. Wade Orson (0)

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Wade Orson defeated JK Lee in 7:42 by pinfall with a Bounce Back.

Hell, if this match has no heat, imagine if the fans cared about JK. Wade dominates in this one which I'm sure surprises no one.

(C-)

Block C: Don Henderson (0) vs. Simon Ice (0)

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Don Henderson defeated Simon Ice in 20:56 by submission with a Scottish Deathlock.

Sigh... another let down from Don.

(D)

Block A: Barry Griffin (0) vs. Viktor Beskov (0)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Viktor Beskov defeated Barry Griffin in 13:56 by submission with a Red Devil Lock.

Why, I expected much more out of this match. I think I'm going to have to scale back the time Barry spends in the ring. Bummer.

Injury for our popularity... and our pocketbook... I sure hope this tour was a good idea.

Jingo wins it this week nearly going 100% in picks this week. Can you keep it up for next time?
