We tend to see the last show of the month as a come down after the monthly PPV, but this week saw some important events. Firstly, the Men of Steel faction is starting to gather momentum. All four men are tough guys, and I really think they could be looking at a reign of terror. Jeff Nova – I think I can speak for all your fans in saying that I feel a little betrayed. These guys were working for MOSC for a reason Jeff! Still, I’m a little perturbed by the possibility of them going for all the gold. I love Pitbull as much as anyone, but is he ready for a showdown with someone like Barry Griffin? Faust’s problems with Danny Patterson could keep him busy for now, but eventually, I think Faust could be a prime candidate to end Harley Neill’s reign as champ. Speaking of Pitbull, nice to see him retain over Beauchamp. Joey has been around a few companies in the UK and the Breeze was a real threat here. Match of the night had to be Edwin King winning over DJ Reason. The DJ is a big guy, and a crowd favourite. Rumour has it that we might not be seeing his ex-partner Igor Ivanoff any time soon on 21CW, and of course the other hot news is Harry Wilson’s exit. Apparently Jeff Nova had enough of complaints that started with “Don’t you know who my brother is?” Good riddance. Harry is less Dark Angel and will struggle to even find work doing dark angles. As usual, can’t wait for next week’s show. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the Men of Steel start a run at the tag titles. Daniel Black Francis & Davey London Vs Barry Griffin & Geordie Jimmy Morris Oh no, not falling for that again. The Men of Steel will put up a fight, but DBF finds a way to win it for his team. Edward Cornell Vs Jonathan Faust Faust needs a strong showing, if he wants a shot at his former title, and beating Cornell will definitely improve his chances. And having the Tower of London watching your back definitely enhances your odds. Unless Danny is in the midsts of dumping Faust, in which case, I reserve the right to jump the other way. Phillip Cooper & Keith Adams Vs Harley Neill & Highland Warrior This is a pick'm match for me. However, I think Cooper picking up the win over Highland Warrior gives him the confidence to head into Wicked and take the gold. Good to see a lot of traffic on the site as people are really starting to pay attention to 21CW. And they should. We all know Mr Nove and new booker Pete Plantenburg are putting on a great show. Big news is of course Merle O'Curle managing to take the UK title from Pitbull Brown. Wow. Just wow. Dont get me wrong, Ive watched a LOT of wrestling, and it's clear that Merle is a brilliant worker, but have you ever heard the guy? Me neither. The Men of Steel are starting to gather momentum even with the loss last week for Morris and Brown. I would be very surprised if they didnt put that right this week and they certainly have the muscle as a group to make sure of the win. Im still resentful of Mr Nova resorting to workers from lesser companies, but there's no arguing with results. Especially if Kevin Jones ends up joining up with them. That guy's a monster. Speaking of the MoS, Harley Neill is going to have a surprising time against young Phil Cooper. Im a fan of his, and everyone's desperate for him to show up well. Dont be surprised if he and Keith Adams put up a big win this week. Last thing I wanted to mention is Stevie Stoat. Who does that guy think he is? I'm not going to go into all that crap he's been saying to Matravers, but we all want a big win for Mile High next week. Should be a good one this week.
