OMWF There Will Be Blood 2011

March 2011

Jake's Bar, Owl Hill, Belgium

--

Darius Hughes staggers into the bar. RG looks upset with him.

RG: "Hughes, what's wrong with you?"

DH: "Sorry, guv, I've had ... (hips) ... one too much....of them beers"

RG: "Many."

DH: "What? (hips)"

RG: "It's many beers, not much beers..."

DH: "Sorry, guv."

RG: "I'm not paying for that. I'm putting these on your tab."

DH: "No...(hips)"

RG: "YEEEES!"

DH: "No...not like that. That ref brought them. He brought drinks for the whole bunch (hips)."

RG: "He what? He's pushing Swiss beer right here under my nose?! This is a pub for crying out loud."

DH: "(hips) Well...the lads like it. And that new guys Sifi..."

RG: "I think it's Sifu...but it may be Sifi"

DH: "Yeah, Sidu...he brought some cartoons. Everybody's enjoying this..(hips)

RG: "Well, all except one certain person...."

Show time, even if my half roster is probably drunk. 7 people attending...not too spectacular. Let's see how my new boys do...

Dark Match : Gordon Leve and Leigh Burton defeated Dutch Domination in 8:24 when Leigh Burton defeated Ronny de Veuster by pinfall with a Back Suplex

A dark match to give Dutch Domination a chance to get some experience and Burton and Leve to keep strong. An easy victory for the makeshift team of Burton/Leve, Burton picking up the win with a Back Suplex. Hardwicke and Burton looked sloppy though.

Bedlam defeated Simon Ice in 7:54 by submission with a Mind Strangler

Bedlam makes an interesting debut here and comes off looking strong. The newcomer dominated Simon Ice, countering the only offense from Simon Ice, an attempted cross-body block, into a vicious powerslam. The Mind Strangler submission followed up that one. Good debut.

The Snowman defeated Michael X in 7:46 by pinfall with a Snow Ball

The Snowman, finishing his feud with Jason Dempsey and losing his title to Svensson, makes short work of newcomer Michael X. Not a bad match, Snowman dominating with power/brawling offense and Michael X getting a few (but not many) shots in. Snowman pulls out The Snowball finisher for one of the first times.

OMWF Tag Team Title Match : Sharp & co defeated Absolutely Flawless in 8:07 when Kelly Martin was disqualified while fighting Jon Michael Sharp

The Flawless Ones escape with the titles but that is all that can be said. Sharp & Simpson looked to be in control for most of the match and looked to have won it when Sharp hit a fisherman’s suplex on Kelly Martin, only for his brother Lance to pull the referee off and breaking up the three count. Ref Neil Feirn calls for the bell, giving Sharp & Co the win but not the title.

Sifu defeated Wade Orson in 8:50 by pinfall after using a foreign object.

Another debut and a very interesting match here. Both Orson and Sifu looked good out there, Orson badly wanting a win after suffering a few losses in the last months. Orson looked to be in control until ref Neil Feirn was knocked out following a reversal on an Irish whip. Orson tried to hit his finisher but Sifu threw salt in the eyes of Orson and knocked him out with a chair. Feirn, regaining consciousness, counted the cheap three count as Sifu picks up his first victory here, leaving Orson once again frustrated in defeat.

OMWF Jake's Bar Special match for the King of the Hill Title: Nigel Svensson defeated Jason Dempsey in 12:20 by pinfall. Nigel Svensson makes defence number 2 of his OMWF King of the Hill Title title.

The match starts off with a handshake between the two. A pretty even match, going back and forth. Not a stiff brawl but some interesting hardcore spots. Hey, throwing someone into a pool table always helps. The end sees Svensson being in control, hitting Dempsey with a couple of chairshots and a wicked back suplex into the pool table. Svensson picks up the 3 count as

Dempsey is in pain. He helps up Dempsey after the match though.

Nice to see you back, this was one of my favorite reads and I was sad when I saw it disappear for a couple weeks.

Mathias Koskinen & Simon Ice vs. Dutch Domination

Simon Ice seems to be your job boy, as much as the Dutchies job

No DQ match for the tag titles : Absolutely Flawless © vs. Sharp & Co

I don't have faith in Sharp & Co to take the titles

Bedlam vs. Wade Orson

Orson needs to Bounce Back with a win here

Top contender triangle match - Belgian Beer Brawl Bonanza Match : The Snowman vs. Sifu vs. Gordon Leve

Despite a win against Orson, I don't see Sifu picking it up, so it was between Snowman and Leve. I think Leve will bring something fresh to Nigel, since he's faced Snowman before

Have to go with mystery guy here

Bedlam vs. Wade Orson

I go with more proven guy here

Top contender triangle match - Belgian Beer Brawl Bonanza Match : The Snowman vs. Sifu vs. Gordon Leve

Snowman seems to still be close to the top and he is the biggest name of these three

Cage Match: Nigel Svensson & Mystery Partner vs. Jason Dempsey & Aleksander Knyazev

I would normally go with Svensson but he´s a champ now and if Dempsey gets a win against him it´s likely happens in this kind of match.

Dutch Domination defeated Simon Ice and Mathias Koskinen in 5:44 when Simon Ice was disqualified while fighting Ronny de Veuster

The Dutchies pick up a rare win in the opener over the makeshift team of Mathias Koskinen and Simon Ice. The crowd showed a general disinterest here, with only Koskinen getting a single cheer after choke slamming Hardwicke. De Veuster won after the ref got distracted and Hardwicke slipped in a chair into the ring. Ice hit a nice top rope clothesline but Hardwicke signalled for the ref and said Ice had hit De Veuster with a chair. Neil Feirn calls for the bell as Dutch Domination retreat.

No DQ Match for the OWMF Tag Team Titles: Absolutely Flawless © defeated Sharp & co in 8:14 when Kelly Martin defeated Joe Simpson by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage.

Sharp & co get a rematch for last week’s win, this time a no-DQ match. Jon Michael Sharp starts off strong, dominating both Martins. Simpson gets tagged in but falls victim to a double move. After a lengthy (but very unchained) beating by the Martins, Simpson gets the hot tag to Sharp who cleans house. As Sharp hits a superplex on Lance Martin, Kelly comes in and break the pin. No DQ here! Neil Feirn tries to get things under control and sends Sharp en Lance Martin out of the ring. Kelly Martin sneaks up behind Joe Simpson, traps him in a rope-assisted small package and picks up the win.

Wade Orson defeated Bedlam in 7:07 by disqualification.

Wade Orson faces newcomer Bedlam. A pretty even match, Bedlam looking calm and meditated and Orson busting out some power moves. At the end Bedlam looked set to hit the Mind Strangler on Orson but Orson shifted his momentum and both men landed outside the ring. Bedlam, breaking his calm, picked up a chair and viciously walloped Orson with it, causing the DQ. Bedlam looks disinterested as he walks to the back, leaving Orson in pain.

Top contender Belgian Beer Brawl Bonanza Triangle Match: Gordon Leve defeated The Snowman and Sifu in 8:09 when Gordon Leve defeated The Snowman by pinfall with a Double Israeli Suplex.

Leve and Snowman start taking is to Sifu from the start as both look pretty set on winning this match. After 3 minuten, Snowman hits the Tongan Death Grip on Sifu, but Gordon Leve dropkicks Snowman from behind. Sifu is out cold and gets some more punishment from Leve but Snowman breaks up the pin. Leve and Snowman then start fighting eachother, Snowman getting the better by breaking a Stella Artois glass on Leve’s head and strangling Leve with a Delirium Tremens towel. But when things look to be going his way, Snowman throws down his arms and starts walking away. Leve recovers, hits the Doubel Israeli Suplex out of nowhere and picks up a surprise pinfall victory.

Cage Match Classic: Nigel Svensson and The Snowman defeated Aleksander Knyazev and Jason Dempsey in a Cage Classic match in 10:13 when The Snowman defeated Aleksander Knyazev by pinfall with a Snow Ball

Dempsey and Knyazev make it out first to the cage, Dempsey looking very confident and arrogant. Svensson then comes out alone. As Dempsey signals “where’s your partner?”, Svensson calls out to the back and … THE SNOWMAN appears! Dempsey is livid with this. Looks like Svensson talked the beast into it. Dempsey loses his cool early on the match, going after Svensson but getting technically countered each time. Dempsey then tags in Knyazev who hits a stiff kick on Svensson. Knyazev and Dempsey beat on Svensson a bit till Svensson counters a double clothesline with … a double clothesline. Svensson makes the hot tag and Snowman cleans house. The crowd doesn’t really know what to think here. Snowman then sets up Knyazev for the Snow Ball, Dempsey tries to interfere but gets locked into the Hyper Extension Arm Lock, Snowman hits the Snow Ball and picks up the three count.

RG: “Euhm…that’s not important.”

Jimmy: “It says: “What a stupid show”…”

RG: "No, it doesn't."

Jimmy: "And, "that guy can't wrestle a lick"..."

RG closes his laptop and snaps it away from Jimmy.

RG: “Never mind that, or I’ll ask my new signing Ralph Grimm to kick your behind.”

I´m breaking my usual prediction pattern here and go with random team over named tag team, mainly because that particular Dutch duo certainly doesn´t dominate

Lance Martin vs. Jon Michael Sharp

I believe that Lance is having a better upside than Sharp

Top contender Triangle Match : Bedlam vs. Wade Orson vs. Leigh Burton

Orson is the guy who have done mist here so far so he is a safe bet here

Jake Bar Special Special Match : The Snowman vs. Aleksander Knyazev

Not sure how good Snowman will be as face but we know that Knyazev isn´t anything spesial either so big guy wins here

Darius Hughes walks up to RG before the show and shakes his head.

RG: “What is it?

DH: “I just can’t stand things back there anymore.

RG: “Snowy giving you a hard time again?

DH: “No….not at all. That Norman Koskinen is doing crazy impressions again…and for some reason Burton and Lance Martin are talking classical music.”

RG: “That sounds…not so manly.

DH: “Hmph….”

RG pours DH a beer.

RG: “Here, on the house.

DH: “Thanks, guv.”

RG: “What’s really wrong?

DH: “It’s the missus back at home…really, she’s complaining all the time about me being away to … a pub wrestling thingy.”

RG: “Hmmm…if it’s really an issue, I’ll look into it.

DH: “Guv, it’s not that I don’t like this….I just, well, may not be cut out for this.”

RG: “Darius….get backstage and stop that classical impression cr*p and get these guys ready to wrestle!

DH: “Euhm…”

RG: “So say all the Hulcamaniacs!

DH: “Euhm…”

RG: “What are you going to do, when all the Hulc…..oh well, just get these guys ready, and we’ll look into things next month, okay?

DH: “Sure….”

Darius Hughes walks to the back...while RG adds one beer on Hughes's tab!

Jon Michael Sharp defeated Lance Martin in 7:32 by pinfall with a Flying Cross Body after a distraction from Joe Simpson. During the match we also had Kelly Martin accidentally hit Lance Martin

A singles match between two parts of a tag team. After an even start, it didn’t take a lot of time for Kelly Martin to come out but Joe Simpson evened the odds. A lot of distractions and crowd plays here, meaning the bout didn’t look too good. Kelly Martin hit the apron in the end, tried to trip Sharp but Sharp held on to the top rope, only to see Lance Martin clothesline his brother. Simpson held up Kelly outside the ring, and Sharp hit the Flying Cross Body on a surprised Lance Martin for the three count!

Bedlam enters the ring and RG steps up for an interview. RG questions Bedlam about his ambitions and Bedlam, calm and collected, tells him his only interest is hurting people. RG gets a bit scared here and asks if that includes him. Bedlam just says “Yes.” A blank stare makes RG throw down the microphone and get out of the ring.

Top contender triangle Match: Wade Orson defeated Bedlam and Leigh Burton in 7:51 when Wade Orson defeated Leigh Burton by pinfall with a Bounce Back

An interesting bout, with decent in ring action. All competitors looked really good here, Bedlam looking strong, especially after putting Burton through some mat punishment. Orson and Bedlam get into things and the action spills outside. Bedlam picks up a chair, at the same time as Orson and both try to hit eachother at the same time, chairs flying all over the place. Bedlam stares down Orson, nods and walks to the back. Orson, not wasting any time, hits the ring…counters Burton’s move and hits the Bounce Back for the pinfall win. He looks down the aisle, surprised not to see Bedlam.

Jake’s Bar Special Match : The Snowman defeated Aleksander Knyazev in 7:36 by submission with a Tongan Death Grip

Not a good match between these two. Snowman, playing the brute face here, dominated things against Knyazev. Knyazev hit Snowman with some brutal pool cue shots, but Snowman recovered and threw Knyazev across all of the pub tables. Well, nearly all…the Tongan Death Grip finished things off for Knyazev.

Submission Match for the OMWF King of the Hill Title: Nigel Svensson defeated Gordon Leve in 15:16 by submission with a Hyper Extension Arm Lock. During the match we also had Jason Dempsey distract Svensson. Nigel Svensson makes defence number 3 of his OMWF King of the Hill Title title.

Leve cashes in on his win in the top contenders match last time, at least he tries. Svensson starts off strongly but is distracted as Dempsey hits ringside and starts stalking him. Leve takes over, trying a head vice and an Indian Death Lock to make Svensson submit but Svensson counters. Dempsey tries to slip a chair into the ring to Leve, but Leve looks stunned and attempts to throw the chair out of the ring. Svensson, surprised at this, locks on the Hyper Extension Arm Lock, through the chair, on Leve who has no choice but to submit. Svensson retains…Dempsey just smirks.

Nice show. I like where Bedlam is going as a bananas Welshman with serious issues. Lots of very talented young guys on the roster now
