I am not sure if Air Paris is ever going to win a match again...

Living in the UK, pro wrestling doesn't get the same exposure as it does over there. Even now, there is only WWE and TNA that are broadcast on significant TV channels. And despite WWE being on the might that is Sky Sports, TNA gets more viewers due to the fact every show (even the pay per views) are free on Challenge TV.

PRE SHOW

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Dick Togo defeated Hazem Ali in 6:42 by pinfall with a Diving Senton. E+

Live on Spike TV

CM Punk is in the ring, promoting clean living and how this lifestyle has lead to the cleaning up of TNA. Every champion in TNA is now worthy of being a champion. Evan Karagias as the TV Champion. The Amazing Red as the X Division Champion. New Dawn as the Tag Team Champions. And CM Punk as the World Champion. There is also AJ Styles who is a champion in his own right. Every single one of them works hard and looks after themselves. They are true athletes. They are the new dawn of TNA.

Out comes Jeff Jarrett, telling Punk he is talking complete bollocks. He tells Punk to stop living in his fantasy world. Stars get fans and fans bring money. Is it a coincidence that ratings and buy rates have dropped since New Dawn have won all the titles? No. They aren't worthy of being champions and Jarrett will take Punk's World Championship at Slammiversary II.

Punk says Jarrett will have to beat Punk for it... and not in just any match. He has consulted with TNA owner Dixie Carter, who is happy for the match to be a Straight Edge Chamber match. To you Jarrett, it's known as a House of Fun match. Let's see how Straight Edge you can be. C+

In the backstage interview area, Backstreet Boyz and Full Blooded Italians argue their case that they should be number one contenders for the Tag Team Championship. The segment becomes so chaotic that all four men start shouting over each other. D

Doug Williams v Jorge Estrada v Paul London (with Dusty Rhodes)

A very good opening match as all three men put everything into earning the win. All three men hit their finishers with London the third man to hit his, on Estrada. That was when Christopher Daniels came running to the ring, but his intended interference was intercepted by Dusty Rhodes. Seeing Rhodes dealing with Daniels, London turned his attention back to the ring where he took the match in 8:51 when Paul London defeated Jorge Estrada by pinfall with a London Calling. C+

Desmond Wolfe tries to attack Abyss and Harley Race, but only ends up getting beaten down by the monster Abyss. C-

Mr Wrestling IV comes to the ring and challenges Vampiro to a match on Impact next week so he can get revenge for when Vampiro cheated at Sacrifice. C

Brian Lawler v Mike Sanders

Lawler did much better than his aboration on Explosion a few days ago, but no doubt CM Punk will be pleased with Mike Sanders defeating somebody who failed a drug test following the show. Sanders did very well to rack up an impressive victory in 7:28 by pinfall with a 3.0. C-

A music video is shown to promote Jose Maximo and showcases his championship reigns. C-

Backstage and Sid vents, er, hisses his anger at Ken Shamrock turning his back not only on the fans, but stabbing him in his. He tells "Kenny" that he has made the biggest mistake of his life. Potter on commentary can't resist saying "Oh my God, he'll kill Kenny". C

TNA TV TITLE

Evan Karagias (champion) v Air Paris

Another very good match and one where the challenger tested the champion to the limit. Paris' high paced and high flying style matched Karagias. Karagias withstood the onslaught and pulled one out of the bag in 12:25 by pinfall with a Tidal Wave. Evan Karagias makes defence number 5 of his TNA TV title. A disgusted voice in the crowd is heard shouting "I am not sure if Air Paris is ever going to win a match again..." C+

New Dawn are backstage, happy with what they have watched on the monitor with Evan Karagias defending the TV Title. Eric's Army walk by and tell them that they won't be smiling a week on Sunday. New Dawn tell Eric's Army they will prove that Sacrifice was no fluke. C+

America's Most Wanted are in Eric Bischoff's office. Bischoff has them in because he wants them to warm up for the TNA Nations Cup so he books all of America's Most Wanted against The Fringe at Slammiversary II. B-

TNA NATIONS CUP

QUARTER FINAL MATCH 1

Desmond Wolfe http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQMXhz574kshd6G3u0TgzfTp1yMuctG9SEAYAQS4ErMTAYy0JtpuA v Hernandez http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTD6BvKQNxhNhjFkB_IaUibGIvMjs8BzaR5wRLr9Q5BhLFvfNt9

A reasonable enough match, where Wolfe was suffering a little at the hands of Abyss' recent attacks. Despite his size disadvantage, he wrestled with his brain and with Hernandez being a big muscle man, one might speculate his brain is the size of a pea. I wouldn't, but regardless, Wolfe beat him in 9:46 by pinfall with a Guvnor's Crumpet. C-

UNITED KINGDOM 1 MEXICO 0

AJ Styles and Bryan Danielson are seen talking backstage. AJ is seemingly trying to talk Danielson into joining New Dawn, and Danielson is listening with interest. C

In the locker room and Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell is backstage, happy as Larry and singing to himself that "the night with Dwight was more than alright". Into shot comes 'Alpha Male' Monty Brown. He doesn't look so happy. He tells Buff he is a sick bastard and that he wants nothing to do with him. He says that "Buff sees a muscular black man as a piece of meat and that he just wants to chomp on their sausage". Buff nods gleefully and asks Monty "if his is pork or beef". Monty walks out and slams the door. C

CM Punk & Sid Vicious v Jeff Jarrett & Ken Shamrock

The match started off with a four man brawl as the respective Slammiversary II opponents went at it hell for leather. Eventually Rudy Charles managed to assume control of the match and it settled down to an intense tag team match of good quality. The fans were in full voice as parts of the match gave a preview to one of TNA's 'big three' pay per views in eight days time. The end came when Jeff Jarrett had Rudy Charles distracted, which allowed Ken Shamrock to nail Sid Vicious with a low blow. With Sid doubled over, Shamrock wrenched in the Ankle Lock, which led to a submission victory in 16:55. C+

Show rating: C

The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA's popularity.

A number of angles did not reach the standard of the ring action.

Attendance: 3296

TV rating: 0.74

Loss: $60,426

PREDICTION PRIZE

Choose a wrestler to win any TNA championship and at any time within the next calendar year. It must be a serious suggestion and not, for example, Necro Butcher to win the NWA TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

I suggest the winner gives me their choice by PM, and you can also have a say in the creative side of how it is done.

It's your own money in the bank if you will.

This will be a 4 hour pay per view.

CM Punk shocked Jeff Jarrett by announcing their title match at Slammiversary II will be held in a Straight Edge Chamber. How will TNA's founder react?

Last week Monty Brown walked out on Buff Bagwell when Buff asked Monty if his sausage tasted of pork or beef. Buff is in the arena tonight, will he have anything to say?

'Wildcat' Chris Harris was clearly suffering in this match thanks to the attack by the Mikes earlier in the evening. However, 'Cowboy' James Storm did an excellent job in carrying the can for his team, which led to USA I taking victory in 9:45 when 'Wildcat' Chris Harris defeated Austin Aries by pinfall with a Death Sentence. <strong>C-</strong></p><p>

<strong>TNA TV TITLE</strong></p><p><strong>

Evan Karagias (champion) v Abyss (with Harley Race)</strong></p><p>

A match where Abyss largely brutalised the champion, but the crowd roared loudly when Karagias was able to make small comebacks. However, the Karagias beaten, Abyss looked like he would become the new TV Champion only for Desmond Wolfe to appear at ringside. This was enough to distract Abyss, who climbed out of the ring and started brawling with Wolfe while Robert Brisko was counting Abyss. Karagias, barely able to move in the ring, ended up winning in 8:07 by count out. Evan Karagias makes defence number 6 of his TNA TV title. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mr Wrestling IV v Vampiro</strong></p><p>

The two mysterious men of TNA meet again and again although IV outwrestles Vampiro on the whole, Vampiro sneaks victory in 8:36 by pinfall after using a foreign object which looked like fangs. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Brian Lawler speaks, saying he is in TNA to make an impact. Eric Bischoff arrives on scene. He tells Lawler that he has bags of talent but that he wants to see Lawler use it right. He finishes by telling that if he does, Bischoff will see that he is looked after. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>CM Punk's New Dawn v Eric's Army, Jeff Jarrett & Bryan Danielson</strong></p><p>

A wild, chaotic match where all ten were brawling around ringside at one stage. This sort of match doesn't play into The Amazing Red's abilities, which led to him underperforming. The New Dawn momentum wave continued tonight as in 15:08 CM Punk defeated Ernest Miller by pinfall with a Pepsi Plunge. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Choose a wrestler to win any TNA championship and at any time within the next calendar year. It must be a serious suggestion and not, for example, Necro Butcher to win the NWA TNA World Heavyweight Championship.</p><p>

I suggest the winner gives me their choice by PM, and you can also have a say in the creative side of how it is done.</p><p>

It's your own money in the bank if you will.</p><p>

<p>PRE SHOW</p><p>

<strong>Arashi Assassins v Double X (with Francine) v Pride of Britain v Young Bucks</strong></p><p>

An acceptable opening match that was fast paced, partly due to who was in it and partly due to it being a four corners tag team match. All four teams had were able to show what they are capable of doing and at the business end of the match, it was Devon Storm who won the match for Arashi Assassins when he pinned Matt Buck in 9:40. <strong>D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Mike Sanders is backstage with Mike Quackenbush and Austin Aries. He talks up The Fringe as being the next big thing and that his partners are among the best in the business. Tonight they will show America's Most Wanted how it is done. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Christopher Daniels v Paul London (with Dusty Rhodes)</strong></p><p>

Rhodes has picked London as his young protege for a reason, he clearly feels he is going places in TNA. London also still has the X Division Feast or Fired briefcase. He looked very good here, as did Daniels as the two put on an entertaining match for the fans. London continued his fine form by defeating Daniels in 12:40 by pinfall with a London Calling. When will he cash in his Feast or Fired briefcase? <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH</strong></p><p><strong>

America's Most Wanted v The Fringe</strong></p><p>

These six men are principles in the USA I v USA II TNA Nations Cup Quarter Final but this match does not count towards that as it was signed just before the TNA Nations Cup was introduced. This particular match was a very good affair, and admittedly it was much better than I expected it to be. Also, The Fringe looked very good together and gave AMW lots of troube. AMW rallied however and earned a hard fought victory in 11:25 when 'Wildcat' Chris Harris defeated Mike Quackenbush by pinfall with a Catatonic. With USA I two up in the best of five series and having won this six man tag, it would be a fool who would bet against them to close out the TNA Nations Cup Quarter Final in the next match. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Sid Vicious hisses a promo where he vows to get revenge on Ken Shamrock tonight. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH</strong></p><p><strong>

Backstreet Boyz v Full Blooded Italians</strong></p><p>

Another high quality match that was keenly fought, as the two time former champions battle to get another shot against a team very much on the rise in Guido and Mamaluke. The crowd were applauding the efforts of both teams when Middle Eastern Nightmare made an appearance and attacked their TNA Nations Cup opponents, the FBI. This led to cheers for FBI as they fought off their attackers and their face turn was well received. Once MEN were disposed off, the match resumed and FBI closed it out to receive a title match at Hard Justice in 10:51 when Tony Mamaluke defeated Johnny Kashmere by submission with a Sicilian Stretch. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jeff Jarrett speaks from backstage where he says the sun will set on CM Punk's New Dawn in TNA tonight as he takes back control of both TNA and the World Championship. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

The Amazing Red (champion) v Jose Maximo</strong></p><p>

The first of two title rematches from Sacrifice sees Maximo put up a great effort in a great match, however Red continued New Dawn's great wave of momentum against Eric's Army as he bettered Maximo in 14:21 by pinfall with a Code Red. The Amazing Red makes defence number 2 of his TNA X Division title. The fans applauded both men's efforts after the match, before booing Maximo when he flipped them off. <strong>B-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Harley Race speaks from backstage where he hypes up Abyss and that he will destroy Desmond Wolfe later tonight. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Air Paris v Jerry Lynn</strong></p><p>

The two displayed great chemistry in the ring and put on a very good match, but with the crowd spoiled by the great action in the X Division Championship match, it didn't quite meet the action seen in that. Nonetheless, both men came out of the match with credit, especially Lynn who won it in 12:47 by pinfall with a Cradle Piledriver. Paris' losing streak continues and he is seen banging on the ring apron in frustration after the match. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rick Steiner v Steve Corino</strong></p><p>

A good enough match, but the older combatants here couldn't produce the quality and excitement seen from the younger guys earlier, especially Steiner who is beginning to show his age in the ring. Corino took the match in 11:22 by pinfall with an Old School Expulsion to send Steiner's recent downward spiral a little deeper. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell is in the locker rooms with 'Alpha Male' Monty Brown. Buff grinds up and down Monty's backside for a brief moment. Monty is startled, turns round and nearly takes Buff's head off. Buff is shocked, saying he paid good money to The Godfather to get some top quality big black love muscle. Monty tells Buff no money in the world will allow Buff his and storms out. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Abyss (with Harley Race) v Desmond Wolfe</strong></p><p>

Abyss largely dominated a match that was better than many expected. Wolfe did mount some comebacks and did hit some good moves on Abyss, including locking him in some tight submission moves. Abyss powered his way through though and in the end left Wolfe laying in 9:05 by pinfall with The Black Hole. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Eric Bischoff is backstage psyching up Ernest Miller and Shane Douglas for their Tag Team Championship rematch tonight against New Dawn. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH</strong></p><p><strong>

'Alpha Male' Monty Brown, Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell & The Godfather v Latin American Exchange</strong></p><p>

LAX showed the superior teamwork here, especially with Brown and Bagwell not being on good terms with each other with what happened earlier, nor was Buff overly pleased with Godfather as he thought he was paying for Monty's services. There were a few occasions during the match when Buff was not in the ring where he was arguing with his partner on the ring apron. Despite this, TNA's strangest trio fought their way to victory over the Mexicans in 12:40 when 'Alpha Male' Monty Brown defeated Jorge Estrada by pinfall with The Pounce. One wonders how Mexico will fair against the United Kingdom in the rest of the TNA Nations Cup if they can't beat an unorganised, argumentative trio of odd partners. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Ken Shamrock cuts a promo on Sid Vicious telling him that he has his number. Some of the crowd boo, some are completely turned off. <strong>E+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ken Shamrock v Sid Vicious</strong></p><p>

Despite the lack on interest in Shamrock's promo, interest in the match itself was considerably higher and the action was good. Shamrock gave Sid a lot of trouble with his technical ability and submission holds. However, Sid fought back with his trusty power game. He looked set to win when he had Shamrock in position for a Power Bomb, only for Shamrock to reach round and grab the ropes. When the Robert Brisko went round Sid's back to get Shamrock's hands off the ropes, Sid let go and Shamrock headbutted him in the groin. With Sid doubled over, Shamrock hit a belly to belly suplex on the big man, before taking another cheap victory over his bigger adversary in 17:35 by submission with an Ankle Lock. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk speaks. He tells Jarrett than the New Dawn is here in TNA. TNA will be full of drug free, drink free, hungry athletes and he is at the head of them. This means TNA's future is very bright according to Punk. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSS9x6o5E2HI2l1LroZ43KhcFZ9Y_YCIsWnkiWN8iF7KtdkgzSM</span></p><p>

<strong>NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

New Dawn (champions) v Eric's Army</strong></p><p>

The second championship rematch sees Miller and Douglas take this rematch a lot more seriously than they did the first encounter at Sacrifice. This put New Dawn's titles in complete jeopardy as Eric's Army did everything but win the titles back. Somehow Coleman and Rave clung on, and pulled off a second upset over their more illustrious and established opponents in 16:11 when Jimmy Rave defeated Shane Douglas by pinfall with a Dawn Awakening. New Dawn make defence number 2 of their NWA TNA World Tag Team titles. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

A video plays hyping AJ Styles vs. Bryan Danielson. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AJ Styles v Bryan Danielson</strong></p><p>

A tremendous match and in terms of in ring action arguably the best TNA has ever put on. Unfortunately, the crowd were not fully into it, at least not in the early going. By the time the match ended they were on their feet. AJ took a match that could just as well have been decided by a toss of a coin, it was that close, winning it in 19:31 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. Even Danielson was receptive of the fans' reception at their match at it's conclusion. Are we looking at the long term future of TNA? <strong>B-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

STRAIGHT EDGE CHAMBER MATCH</strong></p><p><strong>

CM Punk (champion) v Jeff Jarrett</strong></p><p>

CM Punk's Straight Edge Chamber is very similar to Raven's House of Fun. With this, weapons were utilised frequently and it was not too long until both Jarrett and Punk were bleeding profusely. The bloody battle also had a mix of technical wrestling in it too and this hybrid led to some great action in front of a vocal crowd. As the action wore on and built up both men scored a number of near falls and a clean match finished in 28:05 when Punk retained the gold by pinfall with a Pepsi Plunge. CM Punk makes defence number 2 of his NWA TNA World Heavyweight title. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

As CM Punk gets to his feet, the crowd stand as one, giving him a loud standing ovation in appreciation of his perfomance. <strong>B-</strong></p><p> </p><p>
