PRE SHOW

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Keiji Sakoda defeated Místico in 6:14 by pinfall with a Split Legged Moonsault. D

Live on Spike TV

We are backstage in the TNA Director of Authority's office. There we see Dusty Rhodes and Jeff Jarrett having a serious conversation about the direction of TNA. Dusty asks Jarrett straight up if he knows anything about any WWE invasion given that Sean Waltman, Teddy Hart and Jimmy Hart have turned up in TNA and have been causing misery for Sid Vicious. Jarrett says he has nothing to do with them and questions that if they are targeting only Sid, why would it be an invasion. C+

AJ Styles talks himself up as the future of TNA. C+

Mike Sanders v Dick Togo

Sanders make quite easy work of Togo who appeared to be a class below his American opponent. Again, most of the fans in the arena were cheering the Japanese rather than their countryman. Sanders doubled USA II's lead in 5:58 by pinfall with a 3.0. D+

USA II 2 Japan 0

Desmond Wolfe says he is very happy he has got the better of his rival EZ Money and he can now look forward to moving onwards with his TNA career. D

Jerry Lynn cuts a promo on Ken Shamrock telling him he is not the king of old school wrestling and Lynn will prove that by defeating him at Bound for Glory III. C

Sid Vicious tells Sean Waltman and Teddy Hart that he is focusing on nothing else other than ripping them apart at Bound for Glory III and getting payback for everything they have put him through in recent months. C-

Frankie Kazarian (with Rocky Romero & Francine) v 'Wildcat' Chris Harris (with 'Cowboy' James Storm)

A pretty good match where perhaps surprisingly the various associates at ringside largely stayed out of the match. Harris got the better of his tag team opponent at TNA's big pay per view by taking the winner's share of the purse in 8:14 by pinfall with a Catatonic. C-

A music video is showing showcasing AK-47's highlights. D+

Jeff Jarrett is making a phone call on his cell phone when CM Punk interrupts. Jarrett is unhappy but Punk does not care. He says he watched the conversation between Jarrett and Rhodes earlier and that he does not believe what Jarrett says. Punk tells him he thinks he does have things to do with the appearance of Waltman, Hart and Hart and if nobody else will defend TNA then Punk and his New Dawn will do so as they believe in TNA even if it's owners don't. "And besides... Waltman is a user". C+

Speaking of New Dawn, Caprice Colemand and Jimmy Rave are having a war of words with Hernandez and Jorge Estrada about who will win their tag team match at Bound for Glory III. C

ULTIMATE X QUALIFYING MATCH

Evan Karagias v Ultimo Guerrero

A highly entertaining match that won over some initially lukewarm crowd interest. Two quick high fliers and that was exactly what the match was all about, with Karagias taking his spot in Ultimate X in 9:53 by pinfall with a Tidal Wave. C+

Bryan Danielson was saying that he is the best technical wrestler in the world. Mr Wrestling IV took exception to this and told him to prove it at Bound for Glory III. C

Jimmy Hart and Teddy Hart laugh off Sid's words earlier in the night and say there is strength in numbers and Sid does not have the smarts to counter that. C

TNA TV TITLE

Doug Williams (champion) v Air Paris

Probably the best TV Title since TNA introduced the title as Williams' and Paris' conflict in styles ended up complimenting each other and made for an intriguing and entertaining bout. Paris has been picking back up after a sustained slump and looked very good, but Williams came through in 12:23 by pinfall with a Chaos Theory. Doug Williams makes defence number 5 of his TNA TV title. C+

Harley Race is with his monstrous champion Abyss and says that Abyss will be the TNA champion for a long time as there is nobody in TNA who can stand up and beat him, especially not CM Punk as has already been proved twice. C

'Alpha Male' Monty Brown and Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell are together and putting on a united front. For once Buff is not obsessed by his dick or Monty's dick as they both have their focus on winning the Tag Team Championship... oh wait... just as the promo finishes Buff says they both have the biggest dicks in TNA. C-

'Cowboy' James Storm, Jerry Lynn, Steve Corino & Tony Mamaluke v Jeff Jarrett, Ken Shamrock, Rey Bucanero & Rocky Romero (with Francine)

A risky main event from a booking point of view with a couple of wrestlers some way below the main event level but it turned out to be an action packed eight man tag which kept the fans interested and entertained. The heels prevailed and gained momentum heading into their respective Bound for Glory III matches in 16:24 when Ken Shamrock defeated 'Cowboy' James Storm by submission with an Ankle Lock. C+

Show rating: C

The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA's popularity.

A number of angles did not reach the standard of the in ring action.

Eight days away from TNA's biggest event of the year and questions are being asked about Jeff Jarrett's knowledge of the rumoured WWE invasion. Dusty Rhodes took Jarrett's denial of any knowledge at face value. CM Punk did not and was outspoken about it. Does Jarrett know more than he is letting on?

Mike Sanders has been announced as the sixth and final entrant into Ultimate X. As a warm up, the six compete in a tag team match tonight.

Ken Shamrock wants to go old school on Jerry Lynn. In what way?

PRE SHOW

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Brits Abroad defeated The Young Bucks in 6:25 when Chris Hero defeated Nick Buck by pinfall with a Hero's Welcome. The Bucks were off their game. D

Live on Spike TV

Dusty Rhodes, CM Punk and Jeff Jarrett are in the ring at the start of Impact. Punk tells Rhodes he thinks Jarrett is lying and that Jarrett knows about the WWE employees appearing in TNA. Jarrett says that Punk is talking a load of crap and needs to shut his mouth. He says that he and his father founded TNA and he won't to anything to jeopardise his company nor it's progress upwards. Rhodes says that he has to take Jarrett's comments at face value and unless Punk is able to find any proof that Jarrett is lying, they need to focus on getting rid of the unwanted WWE employees. C+

Speaking of WWE employees, the cameras cut to the back entrance of the arena where Jimmy Hart and Sean Waltman say that they aren't going anywhere and they and Teddy Hart will take down Sid Vicious once and for all at Bound for Glory III. D-

Ultimo Guerrero v Tracy Smothers

A match that did feature some solid action but drew little in the way of heat from the crowd, Guerrero mostly dominated and put Mexico in a very good position by chalking up their second win in 6:21 by pinfall with a Reverse Superplex. D

Mexico lead 2-0.

Ken Shamrock cuts an interview where again he calls himself the king of old school wrestling. He says that to prove it, he challenges Jerry Lynn to make their match at Bound for Glory III a submission match. C

Jeff Jarrett is backstage walking down a corridor when CM Punk cuts him off. Punk tells him in no uncertain terms that he knows he is lying as he has said before he is all about making money and therefore Punk knows he has knowledge of WWE employees appearing in TNA. Jarrett tells Punk again that he is full of crap and challenges him to find proof that doesn't exist. B-

Arashi Assassins v Double X (with Francine)

A good tag team bout which saw sections of the crowd behind Romero and Kazarian who are popular in these parts. They fed off this support and overcame their opponents in 8:44 when Rocky Romero defeated Keiji Sakoda by pinfall with a High Speed. C-

Full Blooded Italians are backstage discussing their Nations Cup Semi Final match against Latin American exchange at Bound for Glory III. Guido and Mamaluke acknowledge the serious nature of this match as defeat will eliminate Italy from the tournament. "We must win" says Guido. D+

AJ Styles is shown preparing for his Bound for Glory III match against Vampiro. C+

TNA TV TITLE

Doug Williams (champion) v Bryan Danielson

Some great action in this one which also saw Mr Wrestling IV appear as a guest commentator. IV proved to be a bit of distraction for Danielson as the two face at the big pay per view in eight days time and although IV made no attempt to interfere in the match, this helped Williams to pull off something of an upset win in 10:52 by pinfall with a fast roll up. Doug Williams makes defence number 6 of his TNA TV title. C

Harley Race and Abyss burst into CM Punk's locker room. Race starts jaw jacking with Punk while Abyss starts to damage property in Punk's locker room. Punk takes exception to this and stands toe to toe with the monstrous champion. Race backs Abyss off and the two leave. C+

Jerry Lynn is in the ring, accepting a challenge from Ken Shamrock. Suddenly the lights dim, and a video package plays hyping Shamrock playing mind games with Lynn. When the lights return, Lynn says he's not affected by Shamrock's little video and will make Shamrock tap out. C

X Division Champion 'Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels, Air Paris & Mike Sanders v Evan Karagias, Satoshi Kojima & The Amazing Red

Glimpses of fantastic action which had the crowd roaring their approval in an all round very good match between the six combatants in Ultimate X. The six men all put it all out there and when the dust settled it was the X Division Champion who stood tall, taking the match for his trio in 11:43 when Christopher Daniels defeated Evan Karagias by pinfall with a Last Rites. C+

At the arena entrance again and this time Teddy Hart is with Jimmy Hart. It seems security are doing their job this week and keeping the two and Sean Waltman out of the building. They essentially repeat what Jimmy Hart said with Sean Waltman earlier, that Sid's days are numbered. C

Ernest Miller is having another argument with Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell. Miller says again that Buff makes him sick and that Buff and Monty Brown will not take the titles of Maximo and he. Buff replies that not only to Monty and he possess "the biggest ****s in TNA" but they are also the Gay Champs, which draws amusement and cheering from the crowd in the arena. C

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Abyss (champion, with Harley Race) v Steve Corino

Corino has past issues with Abyss when Abyss abducted and brutalised him for the better part of a month earlier in the year as he made his way up to the top of TNA. This time Corino has had no such problems and gave Abyss a good match and it made for a good main event. Abyss ultimately brushed Corino off and defended in 17:13 by pinfall with The Black Hole. Abyss makes defence number 3 of his NWA TNA World Heavyweight title. C+

Impact Preview

Only one day before TNA's biggest day of the year and there is plenty of action this Saturday night. 'Tag Team Turmoil' returns as there are three big tag team matches on the card and in one of which, Teddy Hart has been allowed to make an Impact debut despite being under contract to WWE and not TNA. A cunning move by TNA management or is there somebody on the inside pulling some strings for elsewhere?

Last week on Impact, Air Paris suffered a bad injury, tearing his ACL. TNA wish Paris well in his recovery and tonight, his replacement for Ultimate X will be revealed.

On the subject from injury, Vampiro makes his return after a long spell on the sidelines.

It will be one of the biggest Impacts in TNA history so catch the action on Spike TV.
