WWE held No Mercy on the same night as Bound for Glory III at Cow Palace, CA. It drew a sell out 15,000 crowd and a 5.95 buy rate. Matches of the night at B+ were main event Booker T retaining the Undisputed Championship against Rob Van Dam and Edge defeating Diamond Dallas Page. Also, Funaki beat Jamie Knoble for the Cruiserweight Championship. The show received a B rating.

Air Paris has undergone successful surgery on his torn ACL. His recovery time is likely to be shorter as a result and any long time effects should be limited.

Jerry Lynn, Johnny Kashmere, Jimmy Hart and Mr Wrestling IV all produced clean drug tests at Bound for Glory III. Following a previous negative test, Sean Waltman was mandatory tested and again failed.

TJ Wilson has been released from TNA while The Godfather has not had his contract renewed.

Impact Preview

Six days removed from TNA's biggest show of the year and the rumoured WWE invasion has happened. Jimmy Hart led Sean Waltman and Teddy Hart, who had been tormenting Sid Vicious for weeks and put a stop to the World Championship match between Abyss and CM Punk. The biggest surprise was a fourth employee of World Wrestling Entertainment, D'Lo Brown, at their side. What will happen tonight? More chaos? An explanation? Revealing of their intentions?

CM Punk was the biggest loser out of the carnage. While Abyss also received a beatdown at the hands of the WWE four, at least he has the consolation of keeping his World Championship. In Sid he has a potential ally due to common enemies. Will they work together?

The gay champs are now the tag team champs as Buff Bagwell and Monty Brown were the first tag team champions in history to hang their belts on their ****s. Will the former champions look for getting their belts back?

Watch the action on Spike TV on Saturday night.

AJ Styles v Mike Sanders

AK-47 (Austin Aries & Kid Kash) v Brits Abroad (Chris Hero & Desmond Wolfe)

BOUND FOR GLORY PREDICTION COMPETITION

This is the tie breaker between BHK and Jay R. It's simple. Most correct picks wins. If it is still a tie, then the sudden death is to guess the length of the main event, with the closest the winner.

So BHK it comes down to Brits Abroad and AK-47.

You know I actually was going to copy your picks as they were what I would have gone with. However, I did not want the tie to decide it so I went against my original pick and decided to go with Brits Abroad instead.

PRE SHOW

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Divine Storm defeated Arashi Assassins in 6:48 when Quiet Storm defeated Keiji Sakoda by pinfall. D+

Impact

Frankfort Convention Center, Frankfort, KY.

Live on Spike TV

Loud boos are heard throughout the Frankfort Convention Center as Impact starts.

<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/63gdZAsl62E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Out walk Jimmy Hart with his charges Sean Waltman, Teddy Hart and his newest addition, D'Lo Brown. Jimmy Hart gets the mic and says that they are here to takeover TNA so "it becomes a proper wrestling company" and that they have been given full working contracts in TNA. Hart then goes on to challenge his most vociferous rival, CM Punk, to face the four WWE invaders at Turning Point, telling him if he can find anybody who is stupid enough to team with him to face such a fearsome foursome then he can... but he warns Punk that all his New Dawn buddies are already signed up to matches at Turning Point. D+

Dusty Rhodes and Ken Shamrock are backstage. Shamrock says he has now proved himself as the King of Old School having beaten a host of old school wrestlers in recent weeks. Rhodes agrees that Shamrock has a point and says that as the King of Old School, he can face one of the new breed at Turning Point... Mr Wrestling IV. Shamrock slams the door on the way out. C+

Robert Roode v Roderick Strong

Not a patch on their outing before Impact last week and this was very disappointing. Roode took the match in 7:01 by pinfall with a Northern Lariat. D

Backstage and CM Punk accepts the challenge that Jeff Jarrett made last week and says they will face on Explosion. He also says that he is sure that it is Jarrett who has given the WWE employees TNA contracts. B-

Bryan Danielson and The Amazing Red are backstage. Red isn't sure who it is he has been assigned to face at Turning Point until Danielson tells Red it is him and he will show him that wrestling was always meant to be done on the mat and not in the air. D+

Ultimo Guerrero v Little Guido

Perhaps something of an upset as the established Guido succumbed to a defeat which sent Italy crashing out of the Nations Cup. The disappointment on his face following the match was all to clear as he slumped in the corner and buried his head between his news. Contrary, Guerrero was joyous at putting Mexico in the final as he ran round ringside with his arms aloft. C-

Mexico beat Italy 3-1

Evan Karagias comes to the ring and challenges Christopher Daniels to an X Division Championship match at Turning Point. Daniels appears on the stage and accepts the challenge. D

EZ Money is backstage with Dusty Rhodes. Money says he is fed up of being on the periphery. Rhodes says if he wants action, then he will get some action on Explosion. Money asks who against only for Rhodes to say he hasn't decide yet and he is busy right now. C-

AK-47 v Brits Abroad

Aries and Kash are gelling nicely together and are beginning to rise the ranks in the tag team division. Brits Abroad aren't shoddy either but AK-47 took this one with a little in hand in 7:46 when Austin Aries defeated Desmond Wolfe by pinfall with a 450° splash. A good match. C

Ken Shamrock taunts Jerry Lynn over his win over him back at Bound for Glory III. C+

Sid Vicious approaches CM Punk backstage. He offers his help to CM Punk for the Turning Point match against the WWE invaders. Punk accepts straight away, saying that Sid was going to be the first person he asked given the problems he has had with the WWE invaders over the past couple of months. C

TNA TV TITLE

Doug Williams (champion) v Vampiro

A good TV Title match as Vampiro looks to settle himself back into the TNA roster and take his first TNA championship in the process. Williams doesn't let him as he takes him to technical wrestling school and defends in 11:36 by pinfall with a Chaos Theory. Doug Williams makes defence number 8 of his TNA TV title. C

Harley Race and Abyss are backstage. Abyss is angry for what happened at Bound for Glory III but Harley Race is rather happy as Abyss kept the title and he calms his monstrous champion down. TNA Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes appears on camera and asks Race if Abyss is ready for his next challenge. Race says Abyss is hungry to kill anybody. Rhodes tells them Abyss will defend against Jerry Lynn at Turning Point. You can imagine that Ken Shamrock won't be happy with that! C

The new NWA TNA Tag Team Champions appear in a similar pose as how they left Bound for Glory III... sporting huge erections with the championship belts hanging off them. They are very happy with life and with each other. Ernest Miller and Jose Maximo come up to them, with Miller saying that they are disrespecting the tag team titles and they are disgusting. Miller says they will have their rematch at Turning Point where they will restore dignity to the Tag Team Championship. C-

AJ Styles v Mike Sanders

A very good main event and easily the match of the night, Styles and Sanders fought in a hugely entertaining contest that sucked the crowd in. AJ picked up a momentum boosting win by overcoming Sanders in 17:40 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. B-

Show rating: C

The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA's popularity.

A number of angles did not meet the standard of the in ring action.

Attendance: 2934

TV rating: 0.69

Loss: $66,494

AJ Styles v Mike Sanders has been rated TNA's best ever match.

Bound for Glory Prediction Competition

Jay R beat BHK 5-4 in the Impact decider. Well done Jay, your prize is to choose the next champion for all four title belts, as long as they are realistic choices.

guess this means you're safe from another Necro Butcher petition for the time being.....unless Jay R is a recovering Necroholic as well. :D
