<p>PRE SHOW</p><p>

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, EZ Money defeated Alex Shelley in 5:53 by pinfall with a Cha-Ching Powerbomb. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Impact</strong></p><p>

Sunday, week 1, March 2005</p><p>

Broadcast on Monday, week 2, March 2005 on Spike</p><p>

Show Me Center, Cape Giradeau, MO.</p><p>

<span>http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR_mG0Tnu_nFfjUfTgpY6EM4N_HyL3CHDYgA0YdE0Zic75Er__sMQ</span></p><p> </p><p>

AJ Styles kicks off Impact talking about Satoshi Kojima. AJ expresses his surprise at Kojima's show of sportsmanship at the end of Explosion when he shook the hand of Desmond Wolfe after his successful title defence. Kojima comes out and asks AJ what was so surprising, when Wolfe shows the fighting and wrestling qualities that the X Division should be about. The two then get into another duel about what style the X Division should have, with AJ saying a mix is best. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Doug Williams & Jose Maximo v Jerry Lynn & Joel Maximo (with Jimmy Hart)</strong></p><p>

The war between the brothers continues and nothing was settled here as a wild tag match went completely out of control as Williams and Lynn and the two Maximos brawled with each other around the ring. With Robert Brisko having lost what little control he had, he started to lay the count on the four men, and reached ten without the wrestlers either noticing or being bothered. The match ended in 7:47 following a double count out and the two respective matches at Destination X have an extra edge to them. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jeff Hardy speaks out on Air Paris, saying he will welcome him back to action in his own unusual style. <strong>D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Kevin Kelly interviews Evan Karagias backstage, who discusses Ultimate X, saying it will showcase what the X Division is all about and it will be the first of two steps to regain the title. <strong>D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Austin Aries v Desmond Wolfe</strong></p><p>

Wolfe was not quite as impressed as his superb main event against Satoshi Kojima this past week but he was still impressive enough to overcome Aries who was not shoddy by any stretch. Wolfe out wrestled his cocky opponent in 10:14 by pinfall with a Guvnor's Crumpet. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

D'Lo Brown speaks on how he was the best TV Champion TNA has ever seen and he will help Jimmy Hart lead the WWE Invasion in taking over TNA. <strong>D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Harley Race talks from the depths of the Show Me Center and has his monster Abyss at his side. He says Abyss is going through a little blip since losing the World Championship but his win against Jeff Hardy showed he is about to come back bigger and badder than ever. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Johnny Kashmere v The Miz (Tag Team Champion)</strong></p><p>

One challenger v one champion as a preview to the Tag Team Championship match at Destination X. Both men looked pretty good in an even contest and the champion prevailed in 10:19 by pinfall with a Reality Check. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk is in the ring and sends a rallying cry to his New Dawn stable who aren't in the ring, telling them that they need to group together and fight off the ever increasing threat of the WWE Invasion as they are slowly and surely getting more men and influence. Jimmy Hart interrupts and tells Punk he better recruit an army then before Sid Vicious climbs in the ring behind Punk and attacks him, leaving him lying on the mat. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell is in the ring. He is looking a little better than he has been, but expresses his desire that Bryan Danielson "stops being so cruel to me". Danielson comes out, not quite sure what to make of Buff. He does tell him that wrestling is a man's sport and Buff needs to man up, or he will be severely defeated at Destination X. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TNA TV TITLE</strong></p><p><strong>

Mr Wrestling IV (champion) v Ernest Miller (with Jimmy Hart)</strong></p><p>

A good match and the most well received action of the night so far, IV had the better of Miller for the lion's share of the match and sure enough took the spoils in 11:43 by pinfall with a Sudan Elbow Drop. Mr Wrestling IV makes defence number 3 of his TNA TV title. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Ken Shamrock is speaking about his upcoming match with CM Punk at Destination X when Punk interrupts and questions whether Shamrock is working alone or wants some assistance from "old friends" chasing his third World Championship. Shamrock gets angry and says that "they have nothing to do with me". <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>'Wildcat' Chris Harris (World Heavyweight Champion) & AJ Styles v Satoshi Kojima (X Division Champion) & 'Cowboy' James Storm</strong></p><p>

Harris and Styles displayed zero chemistry as partners, but Kojima and Storm were little better in what turned out to be a tag team match of four individuals rather than two teams. Despite this it was a good main event, with all four men displaying their impressive arsenal of offence and the respective foes eager to battle one another. The conclusion came in 18:39 when AJ Styles defeated 'Cowboy' James Storm by pinfall with a Styles Clash. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Show rating: C</strong></p><p>

The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA's popularity.</p><p>

Some of the angles did not reach the standard of the in ring action.</p><p>

<p><strong>Impact Preview</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Teddy Hart is moving back to WWE, leaving one half of the Tag Team Champions, The Miz, without a partner. Dusty Rhodes has already announced via TNA's new Facebook account and the official website that The Miz will still be defending the Tag Team Championship against Johnny Kashmere and Keiji Sakoda whether he finds a partner or not. Will he have any luck... or more likely, which Invader will join him?</p><p>

Satoshi Kojima and AJ Styles are battling for the X Division Championship in a week's time with AJ defending TNA's X Division while champion Kojima pushes to go down a pure fighting route. They clash again in tag team action and who will get the upper hand heading into Destination X?</p><p>

Finally, Air Paris makes his long awaited return to TNA following a bad injury when he appears for the first time in around five months ahead of his first match back against Jeff Hardy at Destination X.</p><p> </p><p>

Tune in on Monday night on Spike TV. Because we're not Raw.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<p>PRE SHOW</p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Doug Williams defeated Air Paris in 7:58 by pinfall with a Chaos Theory. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Impact</strong></p><p>

Sunday, week 2, March 2005</p><p>

Broadcast on Monday, week 3, March 2005 on Spike</p><p>

Chase Family Arena, West Hartford, CT.</p><p>

<span>http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRyy8NDtZr-jQBtCi-q2ouqUyLG8VdC3BoK9bSMmfanPkHIboBBgg</span></p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk and Ken Shamrock kick off Impact with another verbal joust where CM Punk raises his suspicions that Shamrock is going to align himself with the WWE Invasion. "Why else would I be put in this match?" asks Punk. Shamrock can't come up with an answer to that other than "Dusty did it" [not Bobby Ball!] <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

'Wildcat' Chris Harris then speaks from the backstage interview area with Kevin Kelly. The World Champion addresses his Destination X challenger and former tag team partner, 'Cowboy' James Storm. Harris says he has defeated Abyss and D'Lo Brown without Storm's unwanted interference, now once he has dispatched Storm himself and later Ken Shamrock, he can prove to everyone that he is champion on merit and not because of a jealous former partner. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Caprice Coleman v Ultimo Guerrero</strong></p><p>

A reasonable opening contest that gave a small preview of Ultimate X. It featured some good action but suffered a little due to a lack of crowd interest. Guerrero has not been seen in TNA much of late, so perhaps it was a surprise when he emerged triumphant in 7:28 by pinfall with a Reverse Superplex. <strong>D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

A music video is shown to promote Jeff Hardy. <strong>D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Kevin Kelly interviews Jorge Estrada about Ultimate X, saying he will win on his road to the gold. <strong>D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AK-47 v New Dawn</strong></p><p>

A quality tag team match that was fast paced laced with a smattering of technical wrestling. Jose Maximo and Red were on top when Jose's brother and rival Joel showed up. Joel's mere presence was enough for Jose, who leapt off the apron and chased his brother through the crowd. This left Red one on two and the members of The Fringe made the numerical advantage count in 9:20 when Austin Aries defeated Jose Maximo by pinfall with a Brainbuster. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The Miz is backstage, with both Tag Team Championship belts. He says that Dusty Rhodes has told him he has to find a partner for Destination X or he will defend the belts by himself. Really? Really? Miz goes on to say that he doesn't do what a fat, ugly, past it never was wants him to do, but he has got himself the ideal partner anyway since Teddy Hart is a loser and he's cried off up North. Jerry Lynn walks into shot. Miz tells the challengers, Kashmere and Sakoda, to try and beat him now. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jimmy Hart is backstage saying he is very pleasing with how the WWE Invasion is gathering momentum and influence, and says that Sid Vicious, who stands with him, is the Invasion's enforcer. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Abyss (with Harley Race) v 'Big Black Love Muscle' Monty Brown</strong></p><p>

Monty Brown is introduced by his new moniker and a classic case of irresistable force meeting the immovable object ensues as sheer power meets sheer size. After a couple of attempts, Monty shows his power by slamming Abyss. Abyss gets on top and Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell makes an appearance. He has found some pink ribbons and looks very happy! Buff climbs in the ring as Patrick Hernandez is having some discussions with Harley Race on the apron. He gets the bundle of ribbons and goes for Abyss' face with them, only for Abyss to duck and he hits Monty instead. Buff goes from elated to distraught in a blink of an eye before Abyss throws him out of the ring before finishing off the Big Black Love Muscle in 9:57 by pinfall with The Black Hole. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Kevin Kelly interviews the returning Air Paris, who says he is itching to get back in the ring after so long on the sidelines. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Bryan Danielson speaks backstage, where he can't quite comprehend what Buff Bagwell thinks. In the serious business of professional wrestling he is more concerned about some pink ribbons and knocks his own partner out with them. Danielson says he will see him next Saturday... for a real match. <strong>B-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TNA TV TITLE</strong></p><p><strong>

Mr Wrestling IV (champion) v Steve Corino</strong></p><p>

A fair match that surprisingly didn't have a lot of crowd interest given the stature of the two involved. As expected, this was high in technical wrestling action and IV proved better on the night, taking it in 12:21 by pinfall with a Sudan Elbow Drop. Mr Wrestling IV makes defence number 4 of his TNA TV title. <strong>C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Backstage, security are preventing AJ Styles and Satoshi Kojima from fighting with each other only moments before they are on opposing teams in the main event. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Satoshi Kojima (X Division Champion) & Ken Shamrock v AJ Styles & CM Punk</strong></p><p>

An outstanding main event that saw a hot crowd fully get behind New Dawn members Punk and Styles. Unusually, the reliable Shamrock underperformed and ended up leaving a lot of the work that needed doing to his partner Kojima. Kojima proved up to the big task though and was able to win the match in 21:46 when Satoshi Kojima defeated CM Punk by pinfall with a Lariat. He's still not defeated AJ Styles though... <strong>B</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Show rating: C+</strong></p><p>

The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA's popularity.</p><p>

Doug Williams v Mike Sanders

Mike Sander is introduced as Doug Williams' opponent with Jerry Lynn now one half of the Tag Team champions. The crowd were mildly pleased with the replacement and the two put on a match with some great action. It was all for nothing though as Harley Race led Abyss to the ring who proceeded to destroy both men leaving Patrick Hernandez no choice but to throw out the match in 5:56. C-

Air Paris v Jeff Hardy

Paris was welcomed back to TNA by a chorus of boos as he played the heel role well. The match itself looked awkward as Paris and Hardy didn't click, but there were patches of great action between two exciting wrestlers. Paris looked good considering his long lay off but Hardy was too good for him and took the match in 12:26 by pinfall with a Swanton Bomb. D+

NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

WWE Invaders (champions, with Jimmy Hart) v Johnny Kashmere & Keiji Sakoda

A good, classic tag team match with heels illegally double teaming and distracting the ref and Kashmere making the hot tag to Sakoda. Sakoda cleaned house but a distraction from Jimmy Hart allowed the champions to regain the advantage, which they utilised to successfully defend in 8:52 when The Miz defeated Johnny Kashmere by pinfall with a Mizard of Oz. WWE Invaders make defence number 4 of their NWA TNA World Tag Team titles. C

Kevin Kelly interviews D'Lo Brown, who hypes himself and the WWE Invaders. E+

AK-47 v Brits Abroad

Another good quality tag team match in a similar vein to the previous one. Again the heels used unsporting tactics to gain the upper hand and again these proved successful, with AK-47's win coming in 10:35 when Kid Kash defeated Chris Hero by pinfall with a Money Maker. C

Kevin Kelly interviews Harley Race backstage, with Abyss pacing up and down in front of the camera. Kelly asks why he had Race attack Williams and Sanders earlier. Race simply replies that because Abyss can destroy anybody in TNA. C

BROTHER v BROTHER

Joel Maximo (with Jimmy Hart) v Jose Maximo

An intense match in a personal family feud and one where both brothers didn't hold back. The result was a match that had the crowd going with the action, which was good. Joel tried to take a few shortcuts, but unlike earlier matches, they weren't successful as Jose overcame his brother in 12:45 by pinfall with a Maximo Explosion. C+

ULTIMATE X

X DIVISION NUMBER ONE CONTENDER MATCH

Caprice Coleman v Evan Karagias v 'Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels v Jorge Estrada v The Amazing Red v Ultimo Guerrero

High octane and exciting action in the aerial spectacle. With three New Dawn members in the match, they worked well for each other as much as themselves, helping fend off the other three participants for much of the match when one was going for the X. Daniels and Red took it a stage higher

when the scaled the metal supports and fought above the X. This ended with both men taking a sick bump to the canvas when their fight caused them both to fall. This ended the pair's participation in the match when they were both helped out of the arena. The end of the match came when Estrada fought off Coleman in 16:35 and he retrieved the X and received a title shot. C+

Kevin Kelly interviews AJ Styles, who says he is confident of winning the X Division Championship despite Satoshi Kojima's impressive reign, and he also wants to ensure that the X Division remains as it is, a centre of exciting wrestling action. C

CM Punk v Ken Shamrock

Despite an awkward looking match, it not strictly being a X Division match and a less than impressive performance from Shamrock, this match was still well received by the fans. Another point to note was that nothing of note happened. Punk's suspicions that Shamrock was about to join the WWE Invasion did not come to be. Even without Shamrock's potential move, he still won in 14:03 by submission with an Ankle Lock. C

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

FANS PICK THE MATCH

'Wildcat' Chris Harris (champion) v 'Cowboy' James Storm

Prior to the two men making their entrances, a graphic comes on screen with the result of the fans poll.

Bar room brawl 32%

Last man standing 22%

STREET FIGHT

Harris and Storm make their entrance in street clothes. How did they know it was going to be a street fight? There are various weapons laid out around the ring and they get utilised with a fury rarely seen in what has become a bitter rivalry. Both men were bleeding heavily by the end of a vicious looking match and one that the champion took in 15:45 by pinfall with a Catatonic onto a steel chair. 'Wildcat' Chris Harris makes defence number 7 of his NWA TNA World Heavyweight title.

Following the match, Robert Roode ran to ringside and he and James Storm attacked Harris as he was celebrating with the belt, leaving him down on the mat. B-

Kevin Kelly interviews Satoshi Kojima who says he will be AJ Styles tonight as he is the better fighter and wrestler. C

Bryan Danielson v Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell

An entertaining match where Danielson was technically very good and out wrestled Buff for much of the match. Buff held off his fits of depression for the most part, until he reached but his bundle of pink ribbons. He tried to hit Danielson with them, but missed and Danielson locked Buff in the Arms Across America and earned the win in 18:39 by submission. C+

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

Satoshi Kojima (champion) v AJ Styles

Some great crowd interest and some great action, although some more dangerous spots weren't too well received by all who watched the action. True to expectations, Kojima fought technically and striking while AJ mixed offence with some fast paced and aerial moves. The crowd were firmly behind AJ and the balance of the match went to and fro, both men struggling to gain a clear advantage. The match went on and stayed strong in quality and ultimately New Dawn gets a championship as AJ claimed the belt in 24:58 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. AJ Styles wins the TNA X Division title and he celebrates with the fans. B-

Well done to BHK, your prize is to select a wrestler to join the WWE Invasion, but he must have wrestled for WWE in real life prior to April 2002 or in my game from that date. Also, if I can't sign him and he's not on my current roster then tough luck.

Impact Preview

Following the excitement of Destination X, the road to Lockdown starts with an Impact broadcast from Ellensburg on Sunday.

Dusty Rhodes has some business to take care with at Lockdown and he will announce some of the matches for TNA's next big show.

Back at Destination X, AJ Styles and Satoshi Kojima wrestled a great match. Will Kojima be seeking the former champion's rematch?

CM Punk was suspicious that Ken Shamrock was about to defect to the WWE Invasion. That didn't transpire but Shamrock did defeat him. Will Shamrock get his chance at a third title now and where will Punk go next in New Dawn's quest to halt the Invasion.

Watch the action on Monday night on Spike.
