PRE SHOW

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Paul London in 7:39 by pinfall with a Gory Bomb. B-

Impact

Sunday, week 2, October 2005

Broadcast on Spike on Monday, week 3, October 2005

Lyndonville State Fairgrounds, Lyndonville, VT.

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ6OAEXEPmvP_F3K-s8bYKVBfR_4ge4JTKbJLzzPGfuxaQTOkJV

Impact starts with cameras backstage, where Rey Mysterio Jr is seen lying face down and motionless on the concrete. The cameraman shouts Rey to try and get his attention, but Rey doesn’t respond or even move. He shouts for help and around a minute later paramedics arrive on the scene, assess Rey and load him into an ambulance and take him away to a local hospital. Mike Tenay and Potter speculate what will happen to his scheduled match in six days against Jerry Lynn. B

Dudleys are backstage, laughing about what has just happened to Rey Mysterio Jr and also that New Announce Team will suffer the same fate at the hands of them at Bound for Glory IV. What is clear is that the Dudleys did not take out Mysterio, as they are in a completely different part of the arena. C

Hiroshi Tanahashi & Shoichi Funaki v Hernandez & Super Crazy

This was supposed to be Latin American Exchange teaming up for Mexico but Jorge Estrada has commitments elsewhere so the third member of the Mexican team, Super Crazy took his place. It’s a super substitution if you will. It certainly didn’t have a negative effect on the match for Mexico as they bettered Funaki and an impressive looking Tanahashi on his TNA debut. Mexico level the series at 1-1 to set up a finale in 7:08 when Hernandez defeated Shoichi Funaki by pinfall with a Dominator. D+

John Layfield is another WWE Invader to mock Rey Mysterio Jr’s unfortunate start to the final Impact before Bound for Glory IV. Similar to the Dudleys earlier on, he also tells his Bound for Glory IV opponent Little Guido to expect the same treatment at TNA’s biggest event. C+

Kevin Kelly is backstage with Al Snow. They both praise “The Don of wrestling” Vince MaMahon for single handedly being the man responsible for making wrestling the product it is today. Snow says he also shares The Don’s view that gays have no place in wrestling and so he will take out ‘Big Black Love Muscle’ Monty Brown at Bound for Glory IV. C+

Chris Hero v D’Lo Brown (with Jimmy Hart)

The two men are facing off in a tag team match at Bound for Glory IV and here we had a little preview of what might happen. The match was OK but certainly nothing to really write home about or that will stick in the memory of fans for too long. D’Lo got the better of Hero in 8:21 by pinfall with a Low Down. C-

Potter interviews Satoshi Kojima and asks for Kojima’s opinion on the TNA v WWE series that will decide the very future of the company. Kojima hopes TNA will prevail. He comments that because there are a number of strong wrestling companies in Japan it is why wrestling in Japan is so strong and popular. He fears that should WWE gain a monopoly in the USA with a few small companies fighting for scraps, it will harm wrestling in the USA. Interesting thoughts from Kojima who is off to Japan to compete while Bound for Glory IV takes place. C+

Christian Cage and CM Punk have one final heated exchange before their unification title match at Bound for Glory IV which could also potentially be the match to shape the whole future of TNA. The tension can be cut with a knife as both men argue their case against each other and for TNA and WWE. They continue to shout each other over a number of security who wade in to keep them separated before they come to blows. B

Bryan Danielson v Steve Corino

Despite some good wrestling in this contest, it did suffer a little due to two faces squaring off against each other. Even so, it was keenly fought with Corino just edging it in 8:44 by pinfall with an Old School Expulsion. C-

Jeff Jarrett is backstage with Kevin Kelly. They discuss The Don and how everything in wrestling happens because of him. Jarrett also discusses “that disrespectful punk” AJ Styles and how he will be defeated at Bound for Glory IV. C+

Harley Race is in a dark corner of the building with Abyss. Abyss is eating raw meat and Race comments that he will devour Paul London in the same manner in six days time. B-

Al Snow & Maven (with Jimmy Hart) v Happy Bummers

A lot of fans and observers expected better from a tag team affair that lacked excitement even though it was a close match. With Monty Brown facing Al Snow in six days, Monty was keen to get his hands on Snow, only for Snow to be picky with his shots at Monty while also mocking Monty and Kanyon for being gay. This got under the skin of Happy Bummers and their overly aggressive led to mistakes which ultimately cost them the match in 14:26 when Al Snow defeated Chris Kanyon by pinfall with a Snow Plow. C-

Another bizarre Goldust segment. ‘Wildcat’ Chris Harris is bickering with Goldust, accusing him of being sick in the head. Harris may well have a point, as Goldust starts to simulate oral sex with his shit stained golden dildo, Gordon. Harris looks away in utter disgust while Goldust starts laughing manically. C

Mike Tenay interviews Caprice Coleman. Tenay in at the announce desk while Coleman is in a TNA studio. Tenay remarks that Coleman must be delighted with the men he has defeated of late, including Christian Cage, Jeff Jarrett and Brother Ray. Coleman agrees and says he is living a dream at the moment having defeated such established stars. He says short term his goal is keeping the X Division Championship for as long as he can, but in the long term he sees no reason why he can’t win the World Heavyweight Championship. Tenay says he believes he can do it and wishes him well. C+

Kid Kash v The Miz (with Jimmy Hart)

The main event was easily the match of the night and featured some good action in front of a crowd that was quieter than usual, possibly because the action hasn’t quite been up to the recent high standard and possibly due to the two guys in the main event are not the usual main events. Even so, it was very well received and Kash was looking very good against Miz until Ken Shamrock ran down to attack Kash while Jimmy Hart had Mickey Jay distracted. This blatant interference allowed Miz to earn a cheap victory in 17:02 by pinfall with a Mizard of Oz following interference from Ken Shamrock and Miz, Shamrock and Hart celebrated in the ring in a show of WWE Invader defiance after the match. Is this what we will see at Bound for Glory IV? B-

Show rating: C+

The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA’s popularity.

Attendance: 3933

Loss: $62,929

TNA wrestler v Jerry Lynn (with Jimmy Hart)

Jerry Lynn is introduced and makes his entrance. To kick off Bound for Glory IV, he and Jimmy Hart await his opponent. Dusty Rhodes walks out on the stage. He tells the WWE Invaders that Rey Mysterio Jr has not recovered from his injuries sustained in a mystery attack on Impact at the start of the week. However, Dusty informs them he has found a more than worthy substitute and introduces…

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSUUlSQ3EtJ49qjxcUqwoGLaiOyw9CHSxcozXzmusp_E8d0SVOFZg

Williams strides to the ring with purpose and takes it to Lynn, gaining the advantage in the early minutes. Lynn fights back and the two go back and forth and put on a very good, technical opening match. Both men fought hard to score the first win for their respective faction and Lynn just about edged it in 13:20 by pinfall with a Cradle Piledriver. Impressive start to the show but TNA fall behind early on. B-

TNA 0 WWE 1

Evan Karagias v Lance Storm (with Jimmy Hart)

Karagias and Storm didn’t click in the ring which was a shame as this had the potential to be a really good match. The action was good and the crowd held interest, but with the lack of flow to the match it did suffer a little. Lance fought with focus and was measured in his approach, which overcame Karagias quicker and riskier style. Storm wins in 11:20 by pinfall with a Tidal Wave and TNA are already two down and facing a forced takeover from WWE. C-

TNA 0 WWE 2

A video is shown showcasing Caprice Coleman’s rise in TNA and his reign as X Division champion. Dusty Rhodes speaks at the end of the video, saying he is a future star and he is looking at Coleman to produce the goods for TNA. C

Brits Abroad v D’Lo Brown & Ernest Miller (with Jimmy Hart)

TNA strike back with a great performance from Chris Hero and Desmond Wolfe as the British pair stepped up and overcame the established and experience wrestlers of D’Lo Brown and Ernest Miller. The crowd were on their feet cheering the Brits as they delivered the goods in a decent tag team contest and stopped TNA’s potential slide to oblivion in 11:18 when Desmond Wolfe defeated D'Lo Brown by pinfall with a Guvnor's Crumpet. C+

TNA 1 WWE 2

’Big Black Love Muscle’ Monty Brown v Al Snow (with Jimmy Hart)

At the start of the match, Al Snow reminds Monty Brown that both he and ‘The Don’ hate gays and think they have no place in wrestling. Monty unloads a flurry of punches at Snow, while referee Robert Brisko just shrugs his shoulders and lets him get on with it. Snow bails and regroups with Jimmy Hart as the crowd cheer both Monty and Brisko.

Snow mounts a calculated and often cheap offence but it works, as he gets control of the match and neutralises Monty’s power game. With Snow in complete control, a familiar face makes his way to the ring.

http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTGgBu1ghMMGC-usy6o7xfXpzbHlVPD4FCs9EqLoHjKNEHOSnlcfg

The crowd erupt as Buff ‘The Puff’ Bagwell returns to TNA. He strides to the ring in a happy and camp fashion and climbs in. He smiles at Robert Brisko, who flips the bird to Al Snow and Jimmy Hart and lets Monty Brown and Buff Bagwell attack Al Snow as a tandem. Snow has no chance and Monty takes the match in 13:42 by pinfall with The Pounce. Jimmy Hart is going nuts, as is Arn Anderson who has appeared on the stage. Robert Brisko raises the arms of Monty Brown and Buff Bagwell and it’s clear where Brisko’s loyalty lies. On a split screen, Dusty Rhodes is seen with a broad smile on his face. C+

TNA 2 WWE 2

A video is shown with highlights of AJ Styles TNA career including his X Division and TV Title reigns. Dusty Rhodes does a voice over, saying AJ is one of the men he looks to to do the business for TNA. C+

AK-47 v Ken Shamrock & The Miz (with Jimmy Hart)

A tag team match high on action and quality and also full of tension with the series between TNA and WWE finely poised at two all. Austin Aries and Kid Kash used a combination of slick teamwork and fast, exciting action to counter the ccontrasting styles of Shamrock’s hard hitting, submission fighting and The Miz with all his tricks and exuberance. The fans were on their feet again tonight as the former tag team champions overcame the WWE Invaders in 12:18 when Kid Kash defeated The Miz by pinfall with a Money Maker. B-

TNA 3 WWE 2

Little Guido v John Layfield (with Jimmy Hart)

Layfield was too strong for Guido although the match was of a very good standard and saw some great action. Guido fought as if his life depended on it, but try as he might, Layfield was too strong, too experienced and too good for him. Layfield squared it up for the WWE Invaders and was heard saying when he won that “I did it for The Don”. B-

TNA 3 WWE 3

Arn Anderson is backstage with Jeff Jarrett. He comments that tonight isn’t going as well as they hoped. Jarrett tells Anderson not to worry, the WWE are too good for TNA. Anderson warns Jarrett not to take AJ likely. Jarrett says he will beat him. C-

’Wildcat’ Chris Harris v Goldust (with Jimmy Hart)

Goldust was his usual bizarre self although the match didn’t live up to the expected standards. Goldust came down the ring wearing his usual gold wig and gown, but also simulating oral sex with his shit stained Gordon the golden dildo. Harris, already in the ring, was clearly disgusted and disturbed by Goldust and this affected his performance in the match. Whether Goldust was doing it to put Harris off his game or because he gets a perverse, sick pleasure from it is unclear, but either way it helped him to win the match and regain the series advantage for the WWE Invaders in 13:05 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage while having his cock rubbing up against Harris’ ass. C

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

Caprice Coleman (champion) v Maven (with Jimmy Hart)

Although there was a lack of psychology evident in the match and as a result it drifted in places, the great action on show made up for it and the match didn’t really suffer for it. Maven was intent on taking his first title in TNA but Coleman was equally intent on both keeping his X Division Championship and also further increasing his booming reputation. It was Coleman who was successful in 15:30 by pinfall with a Thermal Shock. Caprice Coleman makes defence number 5 of his TNA X Division title. Coleman is probably the hottest thing in TNA right now. C+

A video is played showcasing Dudleys bullying their way to the top in TNA and being the reigning Tag Team Champions. C

NON SERIES MATCH

Abyss (with Harley Race) v Paul London

Abyss again dominated a match and he looked as mean and hungry as he ever has yet. Surely it’s time for Race to step up his opposition, his recent win over Kojima excepted. Abyss’ dominance ended in 5:26 by pinfall with The Black Hole. C

NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

New Announce Team (Joel Maximo & The Amazing Red) v Dudleys (champions, with Jimmy Hart)

Dudleys got a big shock when not only did NAT hold their own against the experienced and established champions, they almost beat them. Their speed, especially Red’s put the Dudleys in serious trouble at times. They’ve been there and done that though and survived, just, in 19:34 when Brother Devon defeated Joel Maximo by pinfall with a 3D. Dudleys make defence number 6 of their NWA TNA World Tag Team titles. Looking through the tag team ranks in TNA, a team is really going to have to step up to take the titles off the Dudleys… and TNA is now in serious jeopardy themselves to the hostile WWE takeover. B-

TNA 4 WWE 5

A video profile of NWA TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Christian Cage is played. C

AJ Styles v Jeff Jarrett (with Jimmy Hart)

A great match that went on for nearly half an hour and yet never once got boring. In the early stages Jarrett did take Styles lightly despite Arn Anderson warning him against it, and it nearly cost him the match as AJ scored some near falls. AJ never lies down, even when Jarrett started hitting him with everything he had, even The Stroke which AJ barely kicked out of. After mounting a comeback, Jimmy Hart intervened and Jarrett again hit The Stroke. This time, AJ was barely able to put his left foot on the bottom rope and just survived again.

Towards the end of the match, Jarrett was getting frustrated and grabbed his guitar. Referee Mickey Jay nicked the guitar from Jarrett’s hands and while Jarrett was arguing with Jay, Styles nailed a Pele kick. He followed this up quickly and took a breathtaking match in 29:05 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. Watching from his office on a monitor, Dusty Rhodes is delighted, while in the ring, AJ has his arms raised whilst using the ropes to hold him up. The future of TNA is going to be determined by the NWA TNA World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Championship unification match. B

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP & WWE CHAMPIONSHIP

CM Punk (WWE Champion) v Christian Cage (NWA TNA Champion, with Jimmy Hart)

One match to determine one champion and the whole future of TNA. Punk is fighting for TNA, Cage for the WWE Invasion and ‘The Don’ Vince McMahon.

It took over forty five minutes to know the outcome as neither man wanted to either relinquish his championship, or let his company and bosses down.

With so much at stake and the atmosphere so tense, the match got off to a slow start but that was for the better. The fans knew how much there was on the line and considering the match was so long, it didn’t tire either wrestler out unnecessarily.

The action was great throughout and the crowd were hot for the duration as the clock ticked past ten, twenty and thirty minutes with both men coming close to winning the titles and control of TNA.

Forty five minutes hit and things took an unexpected twist as both Punk and Cage are recovering from a double clothesline and referee Jack Doan out on the arena floor following an earlier mishap.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WC4PefcxXeA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Ron Killings walks to the ring! He is carrying a chair and speaking to one person he refers to as ‘Little Jimmy’ on his left, and one person he refers to as ‘Little Vinny’ to his right… despite the fact he is actually talking to nobody. Killings climbs into the ring. Punk and Cage are hauling themselves up using the ropes, and look at Killings wondering what the hell he is doing. Killings is having a conversation with Little Jimmy and Little Vinny. He tells Little Jimmy he can’t tell him what to do before he then shouts out “Fuck you Little Vinny” and swings the steel chair to the right side of his body. He stands over his imaginary knocked out friend Little Vinny as both Punk and Cage approach him and ask what the **** he is doing. Killings is wide eyed and says “I’m doing the right thing”, swinging the steel chair again and hitting Christian Cage square on the head, knocking him out. Punk picks up Cage as Jack Doan groggily slides back into the ring. Punk hits a Pepsi Plunge on Cage and Doan goes down to count… but only goes to two. His hand stops in mid air for three, before it hits the mat and Killings shouts “Nice work Little Jimmy”. Doan has a look of bewilderment on his face, he clearly did not want to count the three count, but the bell rings and Punk is declared the winner. TNA has been saved from WWE and ‘The Don’ Vince McMahon by CM Punk and, of all people… Ron Killings and Little Jimmy! Punk climbs the ropes and the crowd start chanting “Punk the saviour” while Killings stands mid ring and holds up the arm of his imaginary friend Little Jimmy. B

The finish came in 46:59 by pinfall with a Pepsi Plunge following interference from Ron Killings. CM Punk wins the NWA TNA World Heavyweight title. CM Punk makes defence number 3 of his WWE title. TNA 6 WWE 5. TNA remains it’s own company and the WWE Invasion is no more.

Bonus Two: TNA won the series and control of TNA (3 points)

Bonus Three: Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell (return) and The Truth made TNA debuts on the show (3 points each). Doug Williams does not count as although he hasn't competed in a little while, he had not left the roster and therefore had not left TNA to make another debut.

PRE SHOW

Impact

Sunday, week 3, October 2005

Broadcast on Spike on Monday, week 4, October 2005

Carlson Center, Fairbanks, AK.

http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQPlF871PNLzfwK0DdIiJedohkEoH-IXmdflXsQNdvMKty-PvNHag

Impact starts with TNA Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes introducing the new NWA TNA World Heavyweight Champion and WWE Champion, CM Punk. Punk walks to the ring wearing the NWA TNA Championship, the WWE Championship draped over his shoulder and carrying a trash can. He enters the ring to crowd chants of “Punk our saviour”. Punk says how proud he is to be the NWA TNA World Heavyweight Champion for the second time. Dusty is beeming and Punk carries on by saying Vince McMahon sucks and he can kiss the saviour’s ass. The WWE Championship means nothing and he drops the championship belt into the trash can. Dusty is hollering in delight before Punk reaches back in the trash can… and pulls out the TNA TV Title. Punk gives it to Dusty who announces that the TV Title is revived and a 16 man tournament will start tonight to crown the next TV Title. The crowd cheer loudly, but this turns to boos when Jeff Jarrett, Christian Cage, Jimmy Hart and Arn Anderson walk out to the ring. They get in the ring and express their anger at WWE failing to takeover TNA, they are angry for The Don who is not ruling wrestling and they are angry at The Truth for messing everything up. Dusty speaks, saying that while the four of them have contracts, he can’t fire them… however… Arn Anderson’s contract states he is the Commission for WWE and since that position no longer exists and he has nothing else for him… he does his best Vince McMahon impression… “YOU’RE FIRED” and tells Arn Anderson to leave straight away or he will get him forcibly removed by the police. Anderson leaves to a chorus of Hey Hey Goodbye.

It’s not over though, as The Truth comes down to the ring, wide eyed and saying that Little Jimmy is hurt that they blame The Truth for costing them the takeover of TNA and when Little Jimmy is hurt, The Truth has to kick some ass. Punk and Truth attack Jarrett and Cage and Dusty loves it, and signs them to a tag team match for tonight’s main event. Then one last thing to close a long opening segment, for seemingly no apparent reason, John Layfield appears on stage. He says that in case the worse happened, he prepared and got signed off on a title match at CM Punk for Turning Point, closing that it’s always wise to be prepared for any eventuality. C

TNA TV TITLE TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND

Doug Williams v Ultimo Guerrero

The opening match of the night and the newly announced TV Title Tournament is a good and keenly fought contest, with both men with the eyes on the prize (assumed as Guerrero is under a mask). Ultimo came close to victory but it was Williams who advanced in 6:46 by pinfall with a Chaos Theory. C+

Kevin Kelly is backstage in the depths of the building, unhappy with the first assignment that Dusty Rhodes has given him and saying he feels victimised at doing a job against his wishes. He walks up to Harley Race and Abyss. Race asks mockingly “Against your wishes?” and before the interview even starts, Abyss has Kelly by the throat and thrusts him upwards into the wall, hissing into his face. Race pulls him off and tells Abyss there is a match coming up. C+

Dudleys hype themselves, saying they are the greatest Tag Team Champions in the history of professional wrestling, and say they will demonstrate further when they easily defeat AK-47, again, at Turning Point. C+

Abyss (with Harley Race) & Vampiro v The Fringe

A mediocre match that saw Abyss in the ring for most of the match for his team, and saw him dominate the majority of the match, like he has been doing against the (mostly smaller) wrestlers he has been facing in singles action. Abyss and Vampiro duly took the contest in 10:14 when Abyss defeated EZ Money by pinfall with The Black Hole. C-

Rey Mysterio Jr and Satoshi Kojima are backstage, sharing stories from their times competing in Mexico and Japan and also TNA. The two show a strong mutual respect for each other’s abilities. B-

Kevin Kelly interviews Ken Shamrock backstage. Kelly tells Shamrock he has been instructed to tell him that he faces Steve Corino at the upcoming Turning Point pay per view. Shamrock is unfazed, simply saying he has “somebody else’s ankle to snap”. C

TNA TV TITLE TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND

Lance Storm (with Jimmy Hart) v Paul London

The second tournament match of the night and the second decent match too, boosted by Storm and London gelling well together in the ring and the match flowing as well as a bulging river. Storm was the stronger in the match and duly reached the Quarter Finals in 10:52 by submission with a Straightshooter. C+

Potter speaks to X Division Champion Caprice Coleman in a pre-recorded interview. Potter asks Coleman about his championship reign and his recent victories over the likes of Christian Cage, Jeff Jarrett and Brother Ray. Coleman says how pleased and proud he is of everything he has accomplished so far in TNA but he also hungry for more. C+

Happy Bummers v Jerry Lynn & The Miz

Another slightly disappointing tag team match which sees Lynn and Miz having dropped their WWE Invaders tag team name, since the WWE Invasion was squashed at Bound for Glory IV. It was evident that it affected them slightly as their minds were not focused completely on the match, which allowed Brown and Kanyon to pick up the win in 12:55 when Chris Kanyon defeated Jerry Lynn by pinfall with a Flatliner. One wonders what Chris Kanyon must think of Buff ‘The Puff’ Bagwell’s return though… C-

Following a commercial break, Monty Brown and Chris Kanyon part ways backstage. Monty walks down the corridor and bumps into Al Snow and Goldust. Snow says he hates gays. Goldust says he gets a perverse pleasure from them. Snow and Goldust look at each other confused. Regardless, Snow says that Maven and the two of them will team up at Turning Point and “take out the three gays” Monty, Buff and Kanyon, before Snow and Goldust attack Monty. Goldust gets a hard on. C

’The Saviour’ CM Punk (NWA TNA World Heavyweight Champion) & The Truth v Christian Cage & Jeff Jarrett

A high class main event full of top quality action. Cage and Jarrett were continually put off by The Truth’s almost constant chattering to his imaginary friend Little Jimmy, who appeared to both coach and inspire him through the match, at one point Truth shouting “I’m doing it to piss off Vince McMahon” which drew large cheers from the crowd and an angry response from Cage and Jarrett, who double teamed him to lay him out.

Momentum is definitely on the side of the TNA stars with WWE broken and gone. Punk and Truth claimed the match in 16:18 when CM Punk defeated Jeff Jarrett by pinfall with a Pepsi Plunge and the new World Champion raised the arm of The Truth, who in turn raised the arm of Little Jimmy. B

Show rating: C+

The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA’s popularity.

A number of angles did not reach the standard of the matches.

Attendance: 3388

Loss: $50,422

CM Punk & The Truth v Christian Cage & Jeff Jarrett is TNA’s eighth best ever match.

John Layfield is in the ring talking trash about ‘The Saviour’ CM Punk, saying he is not fit to lace his boots, mocking his Saviour tag and he is only a paper champion. CM Punk comes to the ring and tells Layfield he is nothing more than a bully, that bullies are often cowards and that he worked hard to become a deserving two time World Champion. Kevin Kelly interviews Ken Shamrock backstage, who talks about breaking Steve Corino’s ankle at Turning Point. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Backstage and Al Snow and Goldust have again attacked ‘Big Black Love Muscle’ Monty Brown backstage. This time, they stand over him, and Goldust passes Snow a syringe. Snow tells the camera that he is about to inject Monty with an “anti gay steroid”. Monty is saved though when both Chris Kanyon and Buff ‘The Puff’ Bagwell chase of Snow and Goldust. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TNA TV TITLE TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND</strong></p><p><strong>

Billy Kidman v Jorge Estrada</strong></p><p>

Caprice Coleman speaks about his X Division Championship defence at Turning Point against Chavo Guerrero Jr. He says he expects a difficult match but says he is happy with that as he likes a tough challenge. <strong>Jerry Lynn v Paul London</strong></p><p>

Lynn and London showed Coleman speaks the truth when he says there is a deep talent pool in the X Division when they put on a decent match that showcased what the X Division is about… fast paced, exciting action. London pulled off what might be considered an upset in 15:20 by pinfall with a London Calling. <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Backstage and Christian Cage and Jeff Jarrett have The Truth cornered. They are angry that The Truth cost Cage the titles at Bound for Glory IV and also the WWE takeover of TNA. The Truth looks worried and wide eyed asks Little Jimmy what he should do. Truth says Little Jimmy told him to run, so he turns round and runs… into a wall. Truth asks Little Jimmy why he told him to do that, but before Little Jimmy answers him, Cage and Jarrett start a beat down. AJ Styles rushes in and saves Truth from a probable savage beating. Little Jimmy thanks AJ, AJ looks perplexed at Truth. <strong>C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Abyss (with Harley Race), Air Paris & ‘Cowboy’ James Storm v Rey Mysterio Jr, Satoshi Kojima & ‘Wildcat’ Chris Harris</strong></p><p>

A high quality six man tag team main event that was chock full of action throughout. Paris and Storm did a lot of the work for their team, but whenever Abyss was in the ring, he dominated his opponents until a triple team stopped him in his tracks. All six men hit their finishing moves, but the deciding one was the increasingly dominant Abyss chalking up another victory in 17:47 when Abyss defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. by pinfall with The Black Hole. <strong>B</strong></p><p> </p><p>
