Raku Makuda Wins The Empress Cup 2010

5SSW brought the curtain down on their Coronation Road Tournament by awarding the Empress Cup to Raku Makuda after she defeated HEART Saitoh in an intense match up. Raku continued to let her actions speak louder than her words as she posed with the Empress Cup held above her head and her eyes locked on DEVIL Karube.

5SSW Announces Goddess Save The Empress 2010

5SSW's big, year end PPV is scheduled for this weekend. It is expected to draw a record crowd. Three matches have been confirmed so far as ShoJoa Beatdown will defends the tag team titles against the Daughters of Whirlocity, and DEVIL Karube will defend her World Title against Raku Makuda. Just added this afternoon, Kiko Sakakibara will face Dragon Assassin in a #1 Contenders match. More matches are expected soon.

*The road has ended and now follows the year closely behind. The hall is almost full as the crowd steams in from the December cold. With all the twists and turns of the year that was... the rise and fall and rise again, it all would end here. Steel chairs around the ring are filled, padded with coats. The faces mixed with young and old alike. For some it is a way of life, for others it is something to do on a Saturday night. The outside doors close with Yuu's careful hand. She carries the cash box and 24 unsold tickets to the back. The lights go down and the cameras live again.*

"Another woman who had a trick up her sleeve was Chiyeko Kita. Just as she was about to be stripped of the tag team titles, out comes the newly signed J-Ro."

 

Katsuhiko Shunsen:

"So now we have ShoJoa Beatdown defending the titles against The Daughters of Whirlocity. It's a crash course in chemistry if the champions are going to retain. The usual champion's edge is null and void tonight."

*As the music plays out in the main arena, a small hard camera sits just outside the locker room. With a 5SSW banner as a backdrop, it appears much like a video confessional or diary. Kiko Sakakibara, in her pink and black attire, sits casually down in front of the camera and smiles.*

"What a year 2010 has been. The Rainbow Girls made the scene and the we hit the road separately. I wouldn't change a thing, except for that part where HEART kicks me off the road. But now I can fix that, and all I have to do is get through Dragon Assassin. That will make 2010 perfect and 2011 starting the same way. So look out Dragon, you're definitely in the way of my better tomorrow."

*The 5SSW tag team division was one of Yuu Onuki's top priorities and it shows as both teams look sharp. If you are going to replace Fuyuko Higa, J-Ro's is definitely the number to call. She quickly erases any doubts about ShoJoa Beatdown's continuity when she super kicks Chitose over the top rope and outside. The Daughters of Whirlocity are quick to regroup with a tag to Angel who gets the crowd going with some quick offense and near pins that even things up. Flutter! The crowd shows their shadow butterflies in support. Chitose back in with some aerial moves as she keeps the pace fast and loose. But there is always a blindside and Chiyeko Kita finds it with a Strong Kick To The Head! Chitose is staggered and turns right into the Flip of Empires! 1. 2.. 3...*

 

Official Result:

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, ShoJoa Beatdown defeated Daughters of Whirlocity in 9:48 when Chiyeko Kita defeated Chitose Ariwara by pinfall with a Flip of Empires. Shojoa Beatdown successfully defend their 5 Star Tag Team titles.

 

*After the match Chitose is still down and Angel is sitting next to her with an arm around her in support. She warily eyes ShoJoa Beatdown in case they want some more. But the champions are more interested in holding their titles above their heads and antagonizing the crowd with internationally recognized sign language.*

*The hard camera backstage comes back on with the angular face of Dragon Assassin filling the scene. Dark lines under her eyes accentuate her lack of smile and her voice is cold and cutting. Her attire, matching.*

"The New Year is a joke and it's your weakness Kiko. You think tonight is special. You think it is going to change your life and future? Pitiable. Tonight, or any other night you can think of, can not change the basic facts. You are old. Your time is done. I could give you a speech about the future, but it is irrelevant. The numbers don't matter. The date. Tonight you will lose and deep down inside... you know why. You can hide from it. But you can not hide it from me."

HEART Saitoh vs. Megumi Nakajima

 

*HEART Saitoh comes out to a great reaction from the fans. It is obvious her stellar run on the Coronation Road has paid off. Megumi Nakajima is where HEART will be someday. Her presence is immediate and fills the hall. Megumi sets the tone of the match early with a slap to face of HEART. Ugly. Megumi Nakajima is not buying into the HEART hype as she proclaims herself 'the line'. HEART does not get rattles as she shows many shades of her teacher, Sensational Ogiwara. Halfway through it is Megumi who is loosing her composure as she rolls outside to collect herself after a near fall Moonsault. It is nothing a rake to the eyes can't fix and Megumi lays into HEART with bad feelins. Nakajima Straight- No! Heart's improved technicality on display as reverses. Japanese whip into the corner. Flying Tiger Knee connects! Stiff shot and Megumi is down for three.*

 

Official Result:

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, HEART Saitoh defeated Megumi Nakajim in 12:33 by pinfall with a Flying Tiger Knee.

 

*HEART Saitoh stands on the second rope of the turnbuckle and poses for the crowd. She places a hand over her heart in case there was any doubt where she was coming from.*

*The crowd is still cheering out in the main room when the camera switches back to the stationary frame of the backstage camera. Raku has her head looking down, finger entwined in her own hair. Her voice thick through the mask and thoughts in her head.*

It is time to open your eyes. I am very real. I survived The Road that swallowed this company whole. I did it for one reason and that is to get my hands on the DEVIL of 5SSW and take her gold. I am going to wake you up DEVIL. Your dream... THIS dream is going to end with me."

Dragon Assassin vs. Kiko Sakakibara

 

*Kiko tours the ringside, touching hands and appreciating all of her fans. But she takes a little too long it seems as Dragon Assassin attacks her outside, and then tosses her into the ring by a handful of hair. Dragon has the physical edge and she doesn't let Kiko get back up. Chokes. Knees. Chokes with knees. Dragon does everything she can to keep Kiko down and out. Finally she gets caught long enough by the referee that he can force a break, but the damage seems to have been done. A snap suplex takes Kiko down again, and a long two count follows. Dragon Sleeper! Kiko kicks at the air like she is drowning before finally going still. The crowd rallies behind her as the referee checks her status. Fingertips. It's enough to fuel an eventual escape as Kiko flips over the back Dragon and drops her with a Reverse DDT. Oxygen was exactly what Kiko and the crowd needed as she finally gets her Veteran savy offense going. Scoop up by Kiko and she points to the crowd, Kingdom Quake!*

 

Official Result:

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Kiko Sakakibara defeated Dragon Assassin in 15:14 by pinfall with a Kingdom Quake.

*The final interview of the night, as the crowd is primed and ready for the Main Event. DEVIL Karube fills the scene with her World Title around her waist. She is a hybrid of the Golden Age. She learned her craft in the shadows of Crusher, Thunder and Sensational. But they were gone, and now she was the light that all eyes were on. She looked directly into the camera, and then slowly shook her head.*

"Raku Makuda, this is no dream. This isn't a three line haiku from the mouth of Yuu. This is 5 Star Supreme Wrestling and I'm the engine for the fans fuel. Five stars Raku, and I can name them all. That purple turncoat, Saori Nakadan. Two, the heel nipper Megumi Nakajima. Three was Shiori Jippensha, before she had her brain removed. Four, the fans know the words... it's Yuma Maruya. And five? Raku? Trust me, it isn't you. 5 stars, and your just a bump in that forgotten road. 'What was that?' What was what? We are 60 kilometers from the border of the new year and you aren't even an after thought. Tonight I'm taking this company, this title and these fans into the new year and your violent poetry is not going to stop it."

*Full entrances and introductions are made for the Main Event. The feeling is in the air. The crowd are invested and completely behind DEVIL Karube. She is the star of the company and everyone knows it. Raku stays in her corner with her head down. She ignores the obvious and waits for the bell to ring and even then, she makes no move as the DEVIL circles around her. Too close and Raku drops to one knee and pivots to keep the Champion in front of her before lowering herself to her belly and sliding out of the ring. She shakes her head no as DEVIL puts both hands on her hips and shakes her head. The crowd is not pleased. Action is finally under way and Raku is in deep over her head as DEVIL Karube is just that good. She keeps Raku out of the air and begins to dismantle her one piece at a time. Elevated DDT! It gets DEVIL 2. Japanese whip and both women go tumbling outside over the top rope. But DEVIL lands badly!*

 

*Raku is up first, and she is like a shark with a scent of blood. She locks on to DEVIL's left knee, driving it into the steel post outside the ring. Not once. Not twice, but four times. Each time is more vicious than the last as the referee counts to 10 out of 20. Raku evicts several people from their ringside chairs. Knee Breaker into the steel chairs! Raku drags the limping DEVIL back to the ring before the count out. Relentless, Raku continues to work on the joint as DEVIL slaps the mat in pain. Osaka Cloverleaf from Raku! That's not a highrisk move but it's locked on in the middle of the ring, Raku's eyes roll back into her skull with single minded desire as DEVIL fights to get free.*

 

*DEVIL Drop! But DEVIL's knee buckles on the lift. Raku with a dropkick to the knee and DEVIL crumples under her own weight. Raku out to the apron, Springboard Legdrop to the left knee again and DEVIL is screaming out at the 13 minute mark. The damage is done as Raku has a worked a very aggressive and technical style. But her head finally turns towards the turnbuckle as she looks to put this away the only way she knows how. Raku climbs the ropes to the top, but DEVIL lunges from the canvas. Raku is racked on the top rope and DEVIL has her up enough now. DEVIL Drop! Impact! DEVIL hooks the leg for 3.*

 

Official Result:

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, DEVIL Karube defeated Raku Makuda in 15:43 by pinfall with a DEVIL Drop. DEVIL Karube successfully defended her 5SSW World Title.

 

*There is no posing, only human wreckage as both Champion and Challenger are down. Raku holds her head and DEVIL lays on her side, holding her knee. 2010 has taken its toll on everyone, and the picture is the thousand words as the show ends.*

Head Booker Yuu Onuki Leaves 5SSW!

The shoe finally dropped as Yuu Onuki booked her final show under contract with Japan's only surviving Joshi Puroresu company. The return of Yuu Onuki to 5SSW sparked a company revival that was second only to the Golden Era of The Magic Three. But towards the end of the year, relations soured when the company took an unexpected dive in popularity. Sakurako Kagawa returned to take control of her company with the announcement of Coronation Road. It seems Yuu Onuki's fate was sealed sometime between these two events.

 

Most observers have Sensational Ogiwara pegged as the next Head Booker of 5SSW. I wouldn't be surprised if Sakurako Kagawa kept control for a while. No word from those closest to Yuu Onuki. But Kit Hatoyama and Umeko Hotta have to be thinking about their futures. 5SSW has officially refused to comment or even wish Yuu Onuki best in her future endeavors. But the usually quiet and overly cryptic Yuu Onuki broke her own silence with the following release:

 

"It is of freedom, yes? It was of exciting times. I am smiling for them both. They are present and past. They are my favorites. 5SSW was my life and heart. It was my years. But if I am a flower, I can not grow in shadows. If I am moss, I can not grow in the sunlight. If I am a plastic doll, it does not matter. If we are human. We must grow. It is nature, no? Yes, I think so too.

Noodleshop: A year! I am happy. I did not think I was going to make it. It unraveled and I watched it instead of stopping it. Silly humans we are. So what is next? It is a good question. It is many parts, and we are changing from one to two. I still have to think a little, so the pause will be called re-booting. But that is lie because I am really just figuring out what to do. Yuu does not come to America and take that Las Vegas job, that much I am certain of. So we are bound to see more 5SSW in a different way I think. This is called thinking out loud. I will stop now.

 

Congratulations to Ampulator and Astil for their epic, psychic battle. Each will get to book a match of their choice in Yuu's next Joshi adventure. Once I have a roster, name, or clue in place.

 

I really lost my plot somewhere between pictures and formats and spelling checks. I need a good strong center with 27 anchors attached or I will float away. I need to settle on a format and stick to it unless I hear voices that say something different yet sweetly. I want to read some diaries too, so please write some and continue. I will probably start a new thread, but maybe not. Either way it will be easy to find because she is Yuu and she has your eyes in her sock drawer, next to the stolen Hagakure.
