BHOTWG- Stepping into the Inferno

Recommended Posts

I have to go out right now, but I should be back to give my bizarre logic to these picks. Clearly you hate Macho Hamacho and are never going to let my dream of a Japanese Randy Savage come to pass. :(

Not the case at all Beeker, in fact Macho Hamacho would sound like alot of fun to write for, but I'm not going to shoe horn in such a seismic gimmick change without really have any reason behind it. Right now Hamacho is just not in a 'fun' mood and he isn't going to be looking for revenge dressed as a Japanese Randy Savage.....but never say never to the gimmick seeing the light of day.

Sorry to go wildly off-topic TK, but I just couldn't resist....

Oooh Yeaaaah!

The Onodera Diaries:

Mike Watson has returned from his mini hiatus and he still hasn't cooled off. But fact is he remains under contract to us, even if that contract does run out quite soon...so the question is what to do with him during the remainder of his contract. Do I infact attempt to build some bridges with Watson, in an attempt to get Kikkawa's support on board and then perhaps try to get Watson himself on board with a new direction. At the moment we are in limbo land with Watson.

And though I will admit I am far from Watson's biggest fan as an in-ring talent (too MMA for my liking) I will hold my hands up and say that I did somewhat drop the ball with my handling of his phasing out from the main event scene here in BHOTWG, over looking the fact he was getting increasingly more frustrated with each passing loss. Perhaps if I had balanced things a bit better and made his decline more gradual then we would not be in this situation but it's always easy to look back with hindsight and you have to make sure you learn from your mistakes.

Planning is also under way for this years edition of the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, which will of course be the dominant focus for the coming month and of course I will have to think about how to juggle the rest of the roster who will not be taking part in the tournament.

As with the last few editions of the tournament it will be a Two Block Round Robin affair with 14 participants in each block. With one week to go before the start of the tournament, we already know 12 of the 14, with the final two earning their spot in qualifying matches next week.

We have re-signed referee Koetsu Shinozaki to an 18 month written contract and Hinote Dojo prospect Ryu Saito to an 18 month PPA deal. Saito will remain in Hinote Dojo for the time being, until we feel it is the right time to call him up.

You're my new favourite jhd1~!

That's superamazingdelux to the extreme.

If I were booking, Hamacho would keep jobbing and being seriously grumpy until someone took him aside and said 'lighten up' and he finally figured, why not and returned as Macho Hamacho. Oh yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah diggit!

Barei Yasujiro (Former 2 time WLW Universal Champion making his tournament debut)

Black Cobra (Winner in 2007 and runner up the following year in 2008)

Elemental III (Won the tournament in his debut appearance in 2008, made the semi finals in his defence of the trophy last year).

Golden Scorpion (Current BHOTWG Junior Tag Team Champion had his best showing in the 2008 tournament where he made the semi finals)

Hyosuke Kokan (One half of Size of the Fight, is competing in what will be his 5th straight tournament since 2006 but has never made it beyond the Round Robin stage.

Kansuke Konda (Like his long time Tag partner Hyosuke Kokan is competing in his 5th consecutive BOSJ Tournament. Unlike Kokan has had a stronger showing in this tournament reaching the semi finals in his debut appearance but has struggled to make the same impact since.

John Pathlow (Team INSPIRE member and recent Burning Junior Championship challenger is making his tournament debut and is tipped by many to make a big impact.)

Marihito Masuko (Former two time Junior Champion and Junior Tag champion won the tournament in 2006 and reached the semi finals the following year in 2007 and 2009.)

Sensational Dragon (Current Three Time Junior Champion is defending the trophy he won last year. Had previously made the semi finals between 2005 and 2008, including the final itself in 2007 before finally getting his hands on the trophy last year).

Super Joshuya (Junior Division veteran will be competing in his 8th straight tournament since 2003. Made the finals in his debut tournament, and then won the trophy the following year in 2004 before almost making a succesful defence of the trophy in 2005, but has not made it past the group stage since that 'golden' period.)

The Awesome Kiyaru (Current Junior Tag Team champion, won the trophy for three consecutive years between 2001 and 2003, and though he has been unable to replicate that success he has continued to have strong showings in the tournament reaching the semi finals in 2004 and then the finals in 2006 and last years edition.

Exodus 2010

(Size: Small, Prestige: E, Momentum: F)

Promotion Overview: Set up by 'failed' WLW graduate Kuemon Hotta, Exodus 2010 is a new addition to the Japanese Independent scene, and announced that their opening tour would take place from July. Hotta said that the kind of wrestling you should expect to see in Exodus 2010 is electrifying and very modern. The other thing in his misison statement for the newly formed promotion, is that it would be a place that would concentrate on the development of young talent. He realised that right now Exodus wouldn't be competing with WLW anytime soon, yet along the 'big boys' but felt that the promotion could become as succesful as, if not more so than the likes of SAISHO and Hinote Dojo.

Head Booker: The appointment of Joshi-legend Sensational Ogiwara as the promotion's head booker raised a few eye-brows but male or female Ogiwara is the one of the best this business has ever seen. Ogiwara will also be part of the promotions initial commentary team alongside former INSPIRE announcer Seiho Kuroda.

Initial Roster: Crazy masked man Evil Spirit, road agent Gesshin Nisshihara, former INSPIRE prospect Hitomaro Suzuki, WLW Project Arkham Dojo graduate Kali Hanari , referee Kazuko Hiroyuki, former BHOTWG Junior Division member Kenko Takemitsu, Independent Junior Kiemon Yoshimatsu, 'fireplug' brawler Kinji Akamatsu, another former INSPIRE midcarder in Morimasa Kato, teenager Musashi (who may be small in stature, but has deadly striking power), formet GCG prospect Quick Kick Nakao, retired Joshi powerhouse Seiko Nanami (just what her role will be is anyone's guess), gimmicky power wrestler Spirit of the Lizard, one time BHOTWG prospect Spyder Yakuta, former WEXVV man Taheji Konoe, SAISHO graduate Totoya Munkata, Tsuyuraki Kamachi another former INSPIRE wrestler and former WLW man Yuki Horigushi.

Freedom CaribbeanWrestling

Title Changes: Titan defeats Kirk Jameson for the vacant People's Championship, following the sudden departure of Mainstream Hernandez.

Golden Canvas Grappling

(Size: Cult, Prestige: C, Momentum: B)

Worker Departures: Veteran Naonobu Murkami, falls out with GCG owner Hanshiro Furusawa again and has now departed the promotion. It will he a real surprise to see him return, given the bad blood between him and Furusawa.

Title Changes: It's all change in GCG this month as every title changed hands this month, Mokuami Maita defeated Yasuhide Tayama to win the GCG Openweight Title with many see this as the biggest win of the former BHOTWG Junior's career, Hurricane 2000 (Harumi Okazawaya and Takayuki 2000) regained the World Tag Team Championship from Samoan Destruction Inc to become two time champs. However the big change was of course for the GCG World Heavyweight Championship with Toshiharu Hyobanshi winning the belt for second time, ending Hiroyashu Gakusha's 15 month reign.

Hinote Dojo

(Size: Small, Prestige: E-, Momentum: C-)

Ring of Fire

(Size: Small , Prestige: F+, Momentum: D-)

Worker Extensions: ROF extend the contract of lower card worker Lance Martin.

Pro Wrestling SAISHO

(Size: Small , Prestige: F+, Momentum: C-)

Nothing to Report this month from SAISHO.

Supreme Wrestling Federation

(Size: Global , Prestige: A*, Momentum: B-)

Worker Signings: SWF sign away Giant Tana from TCW. It's a move that actually suits all parties including TCW, as Tana whether presented as a monster or as the fun babyface he is currently portrayed as his a more natural fit for the SWF. They also bring up Masked Patriot from development in RIPW.

Worker Extensions: SWF extend the contract of established Upper Midcarder Joe Sexy and valet Dawn The Cheerleader.

Total Championship Wrestling

(Size: International, Prestige: B+, Momentum: B+)

However that all pails into relative insignificance when TCW announced that they signed former SWF World Champion Steve Frehley to a written contract.

Worker Extensions: TCW extend the contracts of fan favourite Benny Benson, midcard veteran Genghis Rahn and Joel Bryant plus lower card worker Flying Jimmy Foxx.

Worker Departures: Giant Tana leaves TCW for SWF. Though Tana has the potential to become more of a 'star' in the SWF, it made little sense for TCW to try and hang on to a worker who struggled to fit in with the increasingly in-ring focused direction TCW have headed towards in recent years.

Ultimate European Wrestling

(Size: Small , Prestige: F+, Momentum: D-)

Nothing to report this month for UEW.

United States Pro Wrestling

(Size: Cult , Prestige: C+, Momentum: C+)

Worker Extensions: ZEN extend the contracts of Upper midcard heel Cyanide, midcard babyface Man O'War and lower card worker Nightmare Slasher.

_____________________________________________________________________

New Talent

Bobbie Dylan: A former exotic dancer from Las Vegas, the 'Woodstock Warrior' Bobbie Dylan has decided she would like to try and make it as a wrestler. However at this stage she has little to no actual wrestling training to speak of, so perhaps BSC apart it is difficult to see just where she will be able to 'make it' in the wrestling business.

Grant Taypen: A 'graduate' of ROF's Turbuckle Wrestling Dojo, he is hardly the best product the academy has produced and ROF decided against bringing him onto the main roster. Supposedly a technical wrestler, he struggles with anything more than the basics and he is unable to make up for his lack of wrestling talent by being a complete charisma by-pass. Unless he can improve dramatically at best his future in the industry is a jobber for a local indy fed.

Richie Fox: A tall and rangey brawler that has begun to get noticed in Australia, his wrestling skills aren't anything to write home about but has a good understanding of showmanship and getting fans invested into his matches. Has already been signed by the DIW promotion, but with no disrespect to them has the potential to use them as a stepping stone onto bigger things on the Australian wrestling scene.

Toju Munkata: A gradute of the Hinote Dojo, 19 year old Toju Munkata is an average Junior Heavyweight, having solid all round skills but not really excelling at anything and lacking that X-Factor to help seperate him from the pack. Was not offered a developmental deal with BHOTWG but has signed a PPA deal with the promotion side of Hinote Dojo. Looks to have a solid future ahead of him in the wrestling industry but it is more likely to be on the independent circuit than with any of the major promotions in Japan.

Wade Orson: A young Brit who has been making an impression at local independent shows. Is a 'gifted' natural athelete and combines that with solid technical wrestling skill, many see him as a future star on the UK wrestling scene.

Tetsuhiko Shoda: Young Japanese announcer that has been working local independent shows and is now actively looking to get hired by a larger promotion. At this stage he has solid but not exactly great announcing skills, so one of the big boys won't be coming knocking anytime soon.

Injuries

Thankfully no significant injuries were suffered this month.

Media News

SWF have signed a deal with America Sports-1 to revive their Uprising show from next month.

Worker Retirements

Haruki Kudo: The former BHOTWG legend has decided to call time on his in-ring wrestling career, as he hangs up the boots at the Age of 46, going out on a high note in his final match defeating Toshiharu Hyobanshi (who would eventually go onto win the GCG World Title later in the month, despite the setback for himself).

Kudo is of course most associated with his time with Burning Hammer, where under the Hooded Kudo guise he won the Burning World Championship three times and the prestigous Super 10 Cup Tournament twice, with his first World Championship coming as whilst still only a teenager, showing that even so early into this career who was a prodigious talent who would go on to become a true legend in Puroresu, and thought his second Super 10 Cup in 2001 was his last major title he remained a force and an iconic draw for BHOTWG up and until his somewhat untimely departure for his promotion. During his memorable 28 year un with BHOTWG he also made some very succesful excursions to Canada with the NOTBPW promotion during the early to mid nineties, where as just simply Haruki Kudo he twice won their main singles belt the Canadian Championship.

However it did all end on a somewhat disappointingly sour note for Kudo in BHOTWG, who resigned in protest at the ousting of then president and his long time friend Kaneie Komine from power at BHOTWG. Kudo then shockingly joined BHOTWG's long time rivals GCG and though he will no longer be making his contribution inside the ring, as the head booker of GCG (as position he also held in BHOTWG prior to his departure) he will be keen to help GCG rise back to the force he once to become a true rival to his once beloved BHOTWG.

Bryan Holmes: Former DaVE Unified Champion has called time on his in ring career at the Age of 39, stating that he wanted to leave the business in good health. A consistent and versatile worker during a solid career, his lack of charisma perhaps prevented Holmes from becoming one of the biggest names in the business. After splitting his time between the now defunct DaVE promotion and PGHW in Japan, he made the decision to concentrate on his commitments to PGHW in 2006 signing a full time contract whilst DaVE champion. Holmes then went to hold the Historical Japan title and have a run with iconice gaijin monster Dread as the Glory Tag Crown Champions, establishing himself as as a solid midcarder in PGHW. Many have alreadty commented that had Holmes been given the opportunity to break through into PGHW's main event scene that he would still be wrestling and that he somewhat regrets fully turning his back on America to pursue his 'dream' of making it in Japan.

Masa Yasujiro: Junior Heavyweight journeyman has called time on his career at the Age of 38, after a lack of bookings even from the small high school gym promotions who can't even set up a proper ring. Yasujiro (who is no relation to the much more talented Barei Yasujiro) had his biggest exposure when he was part of the initial roster for the then fledgling WLW promotion. In 2006 he found regular work with Hinote Dojo who brought him in as an experienced hand to help 'train' the youngsters (despite the fact he is not exactly blessed with great talent), but he was out the door by 2007 falling out with just everyone in the promotion and since that time struggled to find any other regular work.

Junko Hakawaya: Joshi veteran has finally decided to hang up the boots at the Age of 45. Hakawaya is the one of the few Joshi 'icons' not to make her biggest impact with 5SSW, and it was in fact in Canada and not Japan where she had biggest success, twice winning NOTBPW's Women's Championship between 2002 and 2003. In 2006 she made the decision to return to Japan for good , after she realised she was being phased out in NOTBPW for younger, better looking athletes. However she found herself passed over by 5SSW and the veteran powerhouse found herself as a 'big fish' working for small independents.

Namiyo Muro: Veteran Joshi worker has called time on her in ring career at the Age of 44. A long time member of the 5SSW roster Muro was a two time World Champion, winning the belt for the first time in 1987 as just 5SSW's second ever World Champion and then winning her second championship ten years later, showing that she was still a force to be reckoned during the era when what was to become 5SSW's biggest icons in Sensational Ogiwara, Crusher Ichihara and Thunder Hike would begin to dominate the promotion. By the early 2000's however the ageing Muro had begun to slip down the card and had become a 'gatekeeper' for younger talent to prove themselves against. In 2006 she left 5SSW in a contract dispute, and though she never officially made the announcement to retire she did struggle to find regular work since.

Passed Away

Robbie 'Trance' Coleman: The former 21CW talent has tragically passed away at the Age of 29 from a suspected drug overdose. Coleman had his biggest exposure alongside Craig 'Rave' Walker as the Party Animals Tag Team in 21CW, however despite showing improvement since their debut in 2004, they were not deemed part of Jeff Nova's plans to move 21CW forward into a new era and they were released in 2007.

BHOTWG's Burn, Don't Freeze Tour continues on Monday 31st May at the Kagawa Sports Field in Shikoku Prefecture. Headlining the show will be a Contenders Circle match between Shimedzu and Tasuku Iesada, with the winner earning another shot at the Burning World Championship. In the semi main event World Tag Team Champions Black Magic (Yasunobu Masuno & Yasuhiko Taira) face the Burning Sekigun's Tadakuni Toshusai and World Champion Hiroaki Nakasawa in a Non Title match.

In further contenders circle action, Miyamae looks to earn his first victory amongst BHOTWG's Elite but will have to defeat Kinnojo Horri in order to do so. After he was unable to dethrone Tadiyuki Kikkawa for the King of Fighters belt, Horri may well be turning his attention back towards the World Championship.

Meanwhile Tadiyuki Kikkawa has revealed that he will be putting the King of Fighters title on the line in a series of Open Challenges until the end of the Burn Don't Freeze Tour. Apparently Kikkawa is sick of people accusing the King of Fighters title of being a 'vanity belt' and he will show how much of a 'fighting champion' he is by putting the title on the line against all comers. Just who steps up to answer one of these Open Challenges is something which will be answered at the show itself, and whilst the challenger may have the element of surprise, they are facing what looks to have been a virtually unstoppable force in Tadiyuki Kikkawa.

It's still unclear just as to what Chuichi Sanda's position is with INSPIRE but he teams up once again with John Pathlow and this time Masaaki Okazaki to once again lock horns with his former RAGE cohorts in Six man action. On the opposite side of the ring is Sanda's former Tag partner Eiji Hamacho, Mitsunari Fuganaga and a mystery partner. According to Hamacho the mystery partner is someone desperate to prove themselves against Team INSPIRE.

There is further Six Man action with a mostly Junior Division slant as the Black Heart Brethren trio of Black Cobra, The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion take on the Burning Sekigun's Marihito Masuko, Elemental III & Takayuki Onodera. Last time Your New Heroes teamed with Onodera they secured victory over a Dragon Feet 2K9 trio lead by Junior Champion Sensational Dragon and they will look to continue the same form against the Junior Tag Champions and Cobra.

A feud has been brewing between the monsterous former World Tag Team Champions The Behemoths and the Junior Division team of Universal Excellence, at the last show The Behemoths size was just too much for Universal Excellence to handle as they triumphed in Tag action. However Barei Yasujiro gets a chance to gain a measure of revenge when he takes on Nisso Yuasha in singles action.

The Best of the Super Juniors Cup begins on Friday, and the final two spots in the tournament are still up for grabs. Two Three Way matches over the next two shows will decide those final spots and looking to earn their way into the tournament on this show will be VENOM, Stone Yoshikawa and The Incredible Koyama.

Rounding out the main show Junior Champion Sensational Dragon teams with Optimum Impact (American Optimus & Super Joshuya) to take on the trio of Red Panther, Masutaro Kataoka and Roku Sotomura.

For those who can get to the Kagawa Sports Field early bonus action will see Kanishoki take on Snow Lizzard's Sessue Kawate and Hyosuke Kokan go up against White Samurai.

Here is a full run-down of the card for Show #28 of the Burn, Don't Freeze Tour-

Contenders Circle: Shimedzu vs Tasuku Iesada

Shimedzu just had a shot so it´s Iesada´s turn again.

Black Magic (Masuno & Taira) vs Hiroaki Nakasawa & Tadakuni Toshusai

I really like to go with Black Magic but since neither guy aren´t in Condender Circle I don´t see why they should get a win over champ and guy who is in Circle (and just got there).

Contenders Circle: Kinnojo Horri vs Miyamae

Horri would be more logical choice (or at least he´s the favorite here) but I go with Miyamae getting a win and possible a shot for the title in future.

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs ????

If this open challenge will indeed run for several shows then Kikkawa needs to win this one.

Chuichi Sanda, John Pathlow & Masaaki Okazaki vs Eiji Hamacho, Mitsunari Fuganaga & ????

It would really be Hamacho´s turn to win but unless that mystery guy is a really big name it´s unlikely to happen.

Black Cobra, The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion vs Takayuki Onodera, Marihito Masuko & Elemental III

Masuko and E3 have done quite well as a team lately and they already have a win over tag champs so another win here and they will likely get a title shot.

BOSJ Cup Qualifier: Stone Yoshikawa vs The Incredible Koyama vs VENOM

VENOM is the best guy from these three

Barei Yasujiro vs Nisso Yuasha

Nisso´s power advantage is enough to get him a singles win and it will further those question about UE´s changes to win against the power team.

Sensational Dragon, American Optimus & Super Joshuya vs Masutaro Kataoka, Roku Sotmura & Red Panther

Squash

Kanishoki vs Sessue Kawate

Kanishoki is more important

Hyosuke Kokan vs White Samurai

Samurai don´t win matches.

Contenders Circle: Shimedzu vs Tasuku Iesada

Shimedzu already had a shot and I expect either a Rebellion run at the tag titles, or a possible feud between Shimedzu and Miyamae

Black Magic (Masuno & Taira) vs Hiroaki Nakasawa & Tadakuni Toshusai

as this is non title, Toshusai gets to ride Nakasawa's coattails. he gets the actual pin to keep the mullets quiet.

Contenders Circle: Kinnojo Horri vs Miyamae

If Miyamae didn't go over Iesada, he isn't going over Horri

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs ????

I am betting one of the ???? is Watson. Would probably be a better match to have him lose to Kikkawa, but Kikkawa is winning no matter who it is.

Chuichi Sanda, John Pathlow & Masaaki Okazaki vs Eiji Hamacho, Mitsunari Fuganaga & ????

While Watson will probably be the opponent for Kikkawa, personally I'd put him here with the loser bracket, but then I am vicious with jobbing out bad attitude underperformers.

Black Cobra, The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion vs Takayuki Onodera, Marihito Masuko & Elemental III

We just had this match, with the exception of Black Cobra replacing SD. So to keep things even I think Cobra wins

BOSJ Cup Qualifier: Stone Yoshikawa vs The Incredible Koyama vs VENOM

Similiar to last time, Koyama wins again

Barei Yasujiro vs Nisso Yuasha

Sensational Dragon, American Optimus & Super Joshuya vs Masutaro Kataoka, Roku Sotmura & Red Panther

Kanishoki vs Sessue Kawate

- Even if Macho Hamacho cancels out Sanda, I can't imagine Fuga and ???? toppling Pathlow and Okazaki.

Black Cobra, The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion vs Takayuki Onodera, Marihito Masuko & Elemental III

- Because the Black Heart Brethren is my favourite faction name.

Going with Shimedzu just for something different, as Iesada has had some chances.

Black Magic (Masuno & Taira) vs Hiroaki Nakasawa & Tadakuni Toshusai

Could see the champ taking a loss here if he doesn't get pinned, but going with the Magic duo.

This wasn't a million miles away from being a repeat of the recent Dragon Feet 2K9- Burning Sekigun (mostly) Junior Division Six Man, accept that the Black Heart Brethren trio made for more obvious heels and instead of the back and forth flow of the Dragon Feet-Sekigun match from Wednesday this saw the BHB take control of the match isolating Elemental III, after using their usual bag of dirty tricks.</p><p> </p><p>

As is usually the case however the BHB became overconfident and Elemental III was able to tag out and get the hot tag into Marihito Masuko. Masuko then almost secured the victory with a Masuko Cradle (Bridging Leg Hook Belly to Back Suplex) on The Awesome Kiyaru but that was broken up with a Golden Shot (Slingshot Legdrop) from Golden Scorpion. The match then broke down a little culminating in Elemental III wiping everyone out with his signature Elemental Space Flying Drop. </p><p> </p><p>

A Elemental Suplex on Kiyaru brought a two count, before the third generation icon set up for the Inferno Splash only to be cut off by Black Cobra who brought Elemental III crashing back into the ring with superplex before applying the Stone Hold. By this point referee Koetsu Shinozaki had completely lost track of who was supposed to the legal man and this was near enough being competed for under 'Tornado' Tag rules. So when Takayuki Onodera made the save and then drilled Cobra with the CALL THE DOCTOR (Inverted Facelock lifted Scoop Slam Piledriver) Shinozaki counted the pin....That looked to have the match won but Golden Scorpion then made the save, before dropkicking Onodera out of the ring.</p><p> </p><p>

Scorpion then blocked a Masuko Cradle Shock attempt from Marihito Masuko, before drilling the 'painted wonder' with a Brainbuster, that earned a two count before Kiyaru headed up top and the Black Heart Flying Squadron looked to be setting up for the Ultra Effect. But Elemental III was able to cut off Kiyaru with a leaping Enziguri, and Masuko slipped off Scorpion's shoulders before planting the 'Gold and Black ' with the MASUKO CRADLE SHOCK and with Elemental III and Onodera keeping guard that was enough for the Burning Sekigun trio to pick up the victory. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Result: Takayuki Onodera, Elemental III & Marihito Masuko [w] bt Black Cobra, The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion [L] in 15:47 via pinfall (Masuko Cradle Shock) </span></strong></p><p>

All three have struggled to varying degrees to make an impact thus far this tour, but there's an opportunity for them to improve their standing by making it into the Best of the Super Juniors tournament. </p><p> </p><p>

The match swung back and forth between all three men, though it did tend to follow the rather predictable formula of one of them getting bumped out of the ring, whilst the other two battle it out inside. As the match headed down the stretch Stone Yoshikawa found himself drop kicked out of the ring by Koyama, VENOM then tried for the Lethal Dosage (Spike DDT) on Koyama but that was blocked and Koyama drilled VENOM with the Incredible Death Spike (Belly to Back Piledriver)....</p><p> </p><p>

To Koyama's frustration and disbelief that was only two, and the former WLW man headed up top but before he could take to the skies Yoshikawa cut him off and brought Koyama crashing back into the ring with the Danger Trip (Avalanche Snapmare). But VENOM had recovered and he stunned Yoshikawa with the V-Stinger (Shining Wizard Enziguri) before applying the Sting In The Tail (Cross Kneelock) submission to secure the victory and a spot in this years Best of the Super Juniors. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#006400;"><strong>The Incredible Koyama:</strong></span><span style="color:#006400;"> I won't hide my disappointment, I really want to be part of the greatest Junior Heavyweight tournament in the world.....but I've got to accept that tonight I just wasn't good enough. It's instantly obvious to everyone just what Yasujiro's gameplan is going to be in this match, and that is to strike and move. It works for a bit as he keeps Yuasha off balance with drop-kicks from all kinds of directions but it doesn't take the Baby Elephant off his feet and eventually the Universal Excellence man gets caught with a clothesline. </p><p> </p><p>

Yuasha then seized the momentum in the match, as he began to toy with Yasujiro, but the Baby Elephant's posteuring, meant that whenever he went for one his big power moves, Yasujiro would slip out and halt the momentum. But on the other hand 'the mighty mouse' couldn't really get anything going himself and it was looking like it would be only a matter of time before Yuasha had Yasujiro worn down enough to be able to secure victory......</p><p> </p><p>

Yuasha tried to do just that with an Elephant Stampede but Yasujiro moved out of the way and then nailed the Baby Elephant with a step up Enziguri. That staggered Yuasha who then went out for a powder to try and regroup but Yuasha headed up top and then dropped the Baby Elephant into the floor with a Tornado DDT !</p><p> </p><p>

Yasujiro then tried to pitch the stunned Yuasha back into the ring, desperate to secure the decisive pinfall victory but Yuasha proved too heavy to shift and he changed plan into trying to get the countout win, but he changed too late as Yuasha stirred enough to prevent Yasujiro from getting back into the ring, resulting in the match ending as a double countout draw. </p><p> </p><p>

Fuganaga proves to be resillient however and gets the tag into Eiji Hamacho...who just happens to get it whilst Chuichi Sanda is in the ring but Sanda manages to scramble to safety and gets the tag into Masaaki Okazaki. But fired up Hamacho still manages to get the best of the exchanges and he plants 'No Mercy' with the HAMACHO SLEDGE 2K (Northern Lights Bomb) only for Pathlow to make the save. </p><p> </p><p>

Pathlow then tagged in and nailed Hamacho with the BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA (Running Leaping Side Kick) for a two count, before placing the Raging Bull in the Kimura Lock. Just as it looked like Hamacho might tap out, Mike Watson intervened and then nailed Pathlow with the ONE STOP PUNCH but the Calgary Assasin was then pulled out of the ring by Chuichi Sanda and creamed with a chairshot from the former RAGE man. Both Pathlow and Hamacho then crawled across to get tags into Okazaki and Fuganaga respectively. Fuganaga fought bravely and looked set to plant Okazaki with the Who's Laughing Now (Double Underhook Facebuster) but 'No Mercy' was able to block and then plant 'Mr Serious' with the OKAZAKI EXPLOSION (Wrist Clutch Exploder) to secure the win for INSPIRE. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Match #5: Contenders Circle: </strong></p><p>

<strong>Kinnojo Horri vs Miyamae</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_KinnojoHorri-1.jpg</span> <strong>vs</strong> <span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_Miyamae-1.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The first of two Contenders Circle matches on the show, as Kinnojo Horri looks to re-establish himself in the race to challenge for the World Championship, whilst Miyamae at this stage is simply looking to establish himself as part of the contenders circle. </p><p> </p><p>

The match began with Miyamae cagely using a strike and move strategy, to avoid getting into a power exchange with the larger Horri. It worked to a certain degree keeping Horri off balance and out of his rhythm, but eventually Horri managed to cut off the space and had Miyamae trapped in a corner before unleashing a flurry of fore-arms that left 'the Viper' in a daze, before launching Miyamae across the ring with a Release Belly to Belly Suplex.</p><p> </p><p>

That earned a two count, before Horri whipped Miyamae across the ring to set up for a Spinebuster, but the Dragon Feet 2K9 man managed to put on the brakes and slide out of the ring, much to Horri's frustration. Horri did however show some coolness by simply waiting for Miyamae to get back into the ring, but when he tried for a Lariat Miyamae slipped out again.</p><p> </p><p>

This pattern continued to the next few minutes...Miyamae would get in the ring, Horri would be about to nail Miyamae, only for the Dragon Feet 2K9 man to slip out. Eventually Horri's patience did wear thin and he pursued Miyamae around ringside, before both got back into the ring where 'the viper' then nailed Horri with a drop-kick. Miymae then followed up with a basement drop kick bringing Horri down to his knees, setting up the GLITTERING MAGICIAN (Shining Wizard)......</p><p> </p><p>

One......</p><p> </p><p>

Two......</p><p> </p><p>

Horri kicked out, but Miyamae kept up the pressure by applying the SNAKE POISON (Anaconda Vice) but at this stage Horri still had enough energy left to shift himself and Miyamae across to the ring ropes and 'Mr One Million Per Cent' Burning Hammer was able to force the rope break.</p><p> </p><p>

But 'the viper' kept up the pressure putting Horri straight onto the backfoot once again with a combination of kicks that sent the Burning Sekigun man slumping into the corner to be set up for the Facewash. Miyamae however went to the well once too many, as each time his boot would scrape across Horri's face, it would only seem to fire up the Burning Sekigun man even more and eventuallly Horri exploded back up to his feet to level Miyamae with a Lariat that turned 'the viper' inside out. </p><p> </p><p>

Horri made an instant, instinctive cover right at that moment....</p><p> </p><p>

One.......</p><p> </p><p>

Two......</p><p> </p><p>

Thr......</p><p> </p><p>

But the cover was too close to the ropes as Miyamae reached out on a leg onto the bottom rope. Horri then dragged Miyamae nearer the centre of the ring, and set up for the DESTINY BOMB, only for Miymae to reverse into a victory roll.....</p><p> </p><p>

One.....</p><p> </p><p>

Two.......</p><p> </p><p>

Horri kicked out and then levelled Miyamae with a fore-arm before trying for the Destiny Bomb again, but 'the viper' was able to block again and this time planted Horri into the canvas with a Reverse STO.......</p><p> </p><p>

One.....</p><p> </p><p>

Two........</p><p> </p><p>

Horri kicked out, but Miyamae kept the momentum his way nailing the Burning Sekigun man with a GLITTERING MAGICIAN for the second time in the match, before dragging Horri into position and heading up top......to then land the REBEL STOMP (Diving Double Stomp) into Horri's sternum.</p><p> </p><p>

One.........</p><p> </p><p>

Two..........</p><p> </p><p>

Thr...........</p><p> </p><p>

Horri managed to kick out but Miyamae remained determined and focused and immediately applied the Snake Poison submission. </p><p> </p><p>

Horri appeared to be fading and referee Yasuyuki Terakado checked on his condition.....</p><p> </p><p>

Terakado raised Horri's arm.....</p><p> </p><p>

No response.......</p><p> </p><p>

Terakado then took another look....</p><p> </p><p>

Still no sign life of Horri.......</p><p> </p><p>

One last chance for Horri to prove he had some fight left......</p><p> </p><p>

And Horri did find that extra burst of energy to lift Miyamae up into a Powebomb, before planting 'the viper' hard into the canvas, forcing Miyamae to release the hold......</p><p> </p><p>

After that the match then almost ended in a double count out with Horri too worn down to follow up with an immediate cover but both did manage to stagger back up to their feet just in time. Miyamae reseized the momentum, peppering Horri with a combination of strikes and kicks that brought 'Mr One Milion Per Cent Burning Hammer' back down to his knees...before 'the viper' headed for the top turbuckle once again.......</p><p> </p><p>

But this time Horri managed to avoid the Rebel Stomp (this time intended for Horri's Back) and then plant Miyamae with a HORRI SPINEBUSTER (Sitout Spinebuster).........</p><p> </p><p>

One.......</p><p> </p><p>

Two.......</p><p> </p><p>

Miyamae kicked out, but then staggered right into a HURRICANE SPINEBUSTER (Spinning Spinebuster).......</p><p> </p><p>

One......</p><p> </p><p>

Two.......</p><p> </p><p>

Thr.......</p><p> </p><p>

Miyamae kicked out again, but Horri could now smell the victory, and he reeled Miyamae in for the DESTINY BOMB (Gutwrench Powerbomb) again....and this time Horri did manage to get 'the viper' up and then planted hard into the canvas......</p><p> </p><p>

One.......</p><p> </p><p>

Two.....</p><p> </p><p>

Three </p><p> </p><p>

Miyamae had given it all he had, but in the end Horri proved to be just that bit too strong for the former two time Tag Champion to overcome. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Kikkawa:</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;"> You see before you THE KING OF FIGHTERS, but there seems to be doubters everywhere, doubters who accuse me, yes me the very legend who stands before you as some kind of vanity champion. Nothing could be further from the truth, but it's not my problem no one is good enough to take this belt from me. Whether you like it or not, and I know there's a lot of you who don't, I am the King of Fighters and that's your problem not mine.</span> </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#8B0000;">Seeing as the incompetent fools in charge of the championship commitee can't find me a worthy enough challenger, I have decided to take things into my own hands...so from now until the end of the tour I will put MY belt on the line in a series of Open challenges.... <span style="color:#000080;"><strong>Kansuke Konda:</strong></span><span style="color:#000080;"> They call me the Big Fight Player, because I always rise to the occasion. <strong>Match #6: King of Fighters Championship:</strong></p><p>

<strong> Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Kansuke Konda</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_INSPIRE.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TadiyukiKikkawa.jpg</span> <strong>vs </strong><span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_KansukeKonda-1.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Kikkawa immediately tries to level Konda with a Lariat but the Big Fight Player ducks under and then rebounds back of the ring ropes to land a leg lariat. Kikkawa shrugs it off but Konda comes right back at Kikkawa with a drop-kick. Kikkawa again stays on his feet but a pattern begins to emerge as Kikkawa is never able to seize control whilst Konda keeps landing leg lariats and drop-kicks. </p><p> </p><p>

Eventually the relentless offence from Konda takes it's toll on the King of Fighters, and Kikkawa drops down to his knees and Konda see's the opportunity to nail Kikkawa with a sliding lariat !</p><p> </p><p>

That leads to Koetsu Shinozaki administering the first ten count of the match......</p><p> </p><p>

Kikkawa gets back up at five, but then he eats a basement dropkick from Konda, and the Big Fight Player heads up top......</p><p> </p><p>

But Kikkawa gets the knees up on the KONDA SPLASH (Frogsplash)....the King of Fighters then scoops up a winded Konda upon his shoulders before planting the Size of the Fight man into the canvas with a Death Valley Driver....</p><p> </p><p>

Kikkawa then asks for Shinozki to make the ten count, but Konda is back up right away only to get nailed with a big boot from the King of Fighters. This time Kikkawa sets up for the KIKKAWA DRIVER (Wristclutch DVD) but Konda immediately counters into a Crucifix Bomb before immediately rolling Kikkawa over into the KONDA KLUTCH (Dragon Clutch) </p><p> </p><p>

But Kikkawa manages to power his way up to his feet and force Konda to release the hold after an Atomic Drop. The King of Fighters then gets his breath back, and then manages to cut the ring off before peppering Konda with a flurry of chops. Kikkawa then lifts Konda up into a vertical suplex but Konda slips out and then counters into a KONDA KUTTER (Jumping Cutter)......</p><p> </p><p>

Kikkawa looked to be out cold and Shinozaki makes the ten count.....</p><p> </p><p>

Seven......</p><p> </p><p>

Eight......</p><p> </p><p>

Nine.....</p><p> </p><p>

Kikkawa staggers back up to his feet and Konda tries for the Konda Kutter again but this time the King of Fighters is able to block and then nail the Big Fight Player with a fore-arm to the back of the head, that dazes Konda enough for Kikkawa to lift the Size of the Fight man up with a vertical suplex that soons turn into an INCENDIARY TOWER (Vertical Suplex Powerbomb)........</p><p> </p><p>

Shinozaki then makes the inevitable ten count......</p><p> </p><p>

Seven.....</p><p> </p><p>

Eight.....</p><p> </p><p>

Nine....</p><p> </p><p>

Te.....</p><p> </p><p>

Too Kikkawa's immediate frustration Konda shows great fighting spirit by beating the ten count.....the Big Fight Player then avoids a Kikkawa Lariat and then stuns Kikkawa with a drop kick. Konda then once again looked for the Konda Kutter but Kikkawa had the move scouted, blocking the attempt and then nailing Konda with a BURNING LARIAT to the back of the head !!!</p><p> </p><p>

Konda looked to be motionless on the mat......</p><p> </p><p>

And this time the ten count was inevitable as Kikkawa succesfully negotiated the first of his open challenges for the King of Fighters title. </p><p> </p><p>

To no ones surprise this kicked off as a Wild Brawl, with the Burning Sekigun pair on top in the early exchanges until a low blow from Masuno on Toshusai and a chairshot from Taira on Nakasawa seized the momentum for Black Magic. </p><p> </p><p>

When things settled down Toshusai was isolated in the corner of the Tag champion and what followed was the usual formula for these situations, with Black Magic working over Toshusai in their corner, often using illegal tactics such as making blind tags and choking Toshusai with the ring rope. This of course predictably drew protestations from Nakasawa, which of course proved to be distraction to referee Koetsu Shinozaki and did not help Toshusai in anyway. </p><p> </p><p>

But 'Wild Charisma' proved resillient and when Taira went for The Flattener (Corner Clothesline) Toshusai moved out of the way, signalled with his customary double bird and then nailed Taira with the Shock Kick (Bicycle Kick). Too worn down to follow up with a cover Toshusai then looked to get the hot tag into Nakasawa, but he was denied by Yasunobu Masuno who then tried to place the Masuno Deep Sleeper on Toshusai but Wild Charisma battled out and then nailed Masuno with another Shock Kick before finally getting the tag into Nakasawa.</p><p> </p><p>

Seeing that Masuno was in instant trouble Taira stormed the ring but Nakasawa was able to fend the Bulldozer off, before sending Taira out of the ring with a clothesline. However Taira's intervention allowed for Masuno to sneak up from behind and crotch Nakasawa with a low blow before going for a quick roll up.</p><p> </p><p>

Nakasawa managed to kick out but Masuno was now in control and he stomped away on the World Champion, before placing Nakasawa in a front facelock. Masuno tried to lift Nakasawa up for a vertical suplex but the H-Bomb put the brakes on and countered into a vertical suplex of his own. That got a two count before Nakasawa lifted Masuno up, ready to deliver a Nakasawa Neckbreaker only for Taira to club the World Champion from behind....Black Magic then looked to set up for their signature tandem move 'The Devastator' but Toshusai intervened in time before they could deliver it and the match descenced into a wild brawl again with the action spilling to the floor. </p><p> </p><p>

That saw the match almost end up with both teams being counted out but Toshusai and Taira beat the count. 'Wild Charisma' was a step ahead and nailed Taira with a Shock Kick before going for the cover, but Masuno was able to make the save. 'The Hammer' then nailed Toshusai with a Rolling Elbow before impressively planting 'Wild Charisma' into the canvas with the AVALANCE POWERBOMB (Elevated Powerbomb) which looked to have secured victory for the Tag Team champions, but Nakasawa was able to make the save just in time. </p><p> </p><p>

Nakasawa and Masuno then went toe to toe until the World Champion nailed Masuno with the SUDDEN IMPACT LARIAT (Turnaround Short Range Lariat) just as it looked like Masuno might be able to get Nakasawa trapped into the Masuno Deep Sleeper and with Toshusai doing just enough to keep Taira at bay that was enough for the Burning Sekigun pair to pick up the victory. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Hiroaki Nakasawa:</strong></span><span style="color:#0000FF;"> That was good victory out there tonight, Toshusai-san and I did the Burning Sekigun proud, because you know what I could have had one eye on tonights main event and Toshusai took a hell of alot of punishment from Black Magic out there tonight but he proved just how tough he is.</span> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #9: Contenders Circle: </strong></p><p>

<strong>Shimedzu vs Tasuku Iesada</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/Shimedzu-1.jpg?t=1268429674</span> <strong>vs</strong> <span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TasukuIesada.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Whoever wins this match will earn themselves another shot at the World Championship, so this is in reality a number one contenders match.</p><p> </p><p>

The beginning of the match is somewhat cagey with much of it taking place on the mat, it's hold for hold wrestling, counter for counter wrestling that one the most part is reactive rather than proactive from both competitors, weary of not making the mistake that would give their opponent the advantage. </p><p> </p><p>

Tasuku Iesada though begins to get frustrated at the fact that he is unable to stamp his authority on the match and the INSPIRE man tries for a running knee strike only to miss and for Shimedzu to quickly roll him up with a La Magistral Cradle. </p><p> </p><p>

That gets a two count, Iesada then tried to nail Shimedzu with a rolling elbow but once again 'Kamikaze Spirit' was able to avoid contact and instead stunned 'the Dangerous One' with a gamingiri (Enziguri style kick to the front of the head) that then stunned Iesada enough for Shimedzu to then plant the INSPIRE man with a Dragon Suplex. </p><p> </p><p>

That got a two count, but Iesada remained rooted to the mat and Shimedzu headed up top. But as Shimedzu steadied himself, Iesada was back to his feet but that didn't stop Shimedzu launching himself off with a flying cross body......</p><p> </p><p>

But Iesada managed to roll through into applying an IESADA SPECIAL (Bridging Cross Arm Breaker) but Shimedzu managed to clasp his hands together and prevent 'the Dangerous One' from Hyperextending the arm and applying more pressure, and then shifted his bodyweight so that Iesada now found himself in a pinning predicament.....</p><p> </p><p>

Iesada forced into releasing the Iesada Special kicked out, but found himself on the receiving end of a combination of kicks from Shimedzu, who then looked to apply a front facelock but the INSPIRE man managed to slip out and then bail out of the ring to take a powder and regroup. </p><p> </p><p>

Shimedzu not taking the waited for Iesada to get back into the ring before trying to land a combination of kicks but Iesada avoided contact and slid back out again, increasingly frustrated by Iesada's mind games, this time Shimedzu did take the bait launching himself over the top rope with a slingshot cross body but crashing and burning into the guard-rail as Iesada sidestepped out of the way. </p><p> </p><p>

Iesada then rammed Shimedzu shoulder first into the ring-post before wrapping the right arm round the same ring post to then deliver a series of kicks. It was the opening Iesada was looking for to take his game plan into effect, which was to wear down Shimedzu to lock in the Iesada Special and targetting the arm would also take away much of Shimedzu's offence such as the Skull Drop. </p><p> </p><p>

Back in the ring and Iesada tried to secure the win with a quick roll up, which Shimedzu may of managed to kick out of but 'Kamikaze Spirit' was now very much forced into survival mode as Iesada methodically worked over the right arm of the former two time Tag Champion.</p><p> </p><p>

After such methodical targetting of a bodypart, it was then no surprise to see Iesada apply the IESADA SPECIAL........</p><p> </p><p>

And everyone in the Kagawa Sports Field felt it would only be a matter of time before Shimedzu would be forced to tap out but The Rebellion man dug down and reached inside for his fighting spirit and somehow managed to drag himself and Iesada across to the ring ropes to force the rope break. </p><p> </p><p>

Shimedzu then avoided a cheap shot from Iesada after the rope break, before reeling of a kick combination to leave 'the Dangerous One' dazed, before setting up for the Skull Drop but Shimedzu yelped in agony as he tried to lift Iesada up and the INSPIRE man reseized control with a rake to the face. Iesada then set up for the IESADA BRIDGE but Shimedzu managed to fight off the attempt and then shoot Iesada off into the ropes, before nailing the reigning Super 10 Cup holder with the LIFE FLASHER (Rebound Running Boot)</p><p> </p><p>

One.....</p><p> </p><p>

Two......</p><p> </p><p>

Iesada kicks out but gets immediately planted back onto the canvas with an STO and Shimedzu heads up top but the INSPIRE man gets back to his feet and climbs to the top himself cutting 'Kamikaze Spirit' off but the Dragon Feet 2K9 man manages to shove Iesada off before drilling 'the Dangerous One' into the mat with a leaping DDT that he immediately transitions into the INSURREXION DEVICE (Guillotine Choke)......</p><p> </p><p>

But once again the targetting of Shimedzu's right arm comes to fruition for Iesada as 'Kamikaze Spirit' is unable to maintain his grip. However Iesada was in the hold long enough not to take immediate advantage and both lay on the canvas as Omura Umeki applies a double ten count.</p><p> </p><p>

Both however are too determined to earn the title shot and get back to their feet before engaging in a tired strike battle.....Shimedzu seems to gain the advantage and applies a front facelock but he ends up favouring his right arm again and Iesada slips out before planting 'Kamikaze Spirit' onto the canvas with the IESADA BRIDGE (Bridging Northern Lights Suplex) </p><p> </p><p>

One........</p><p> </p><p>

Two.....</p><p> </p><p>

Thr......</p><p> </p><p>

Shimedzu kicks out, but Iesada immediately looks to apply the IESADA LOCKDOWN (Cross Legged Bridging Pin) but Shimedzu has it scouted and blocks the attempt before kicking Iesada off into the corner turnbuckle. Shimedzu then follows up with a running knee strike into the corner before following up with a facewash and another running knee strike into the corner. </p><p> </p><p>

Shimedzu then places a dazed Iesada onto the top turnbuckle and attempts to bring 'the Dangerous One' crashing back into the ring with the rarely seen TOTAL ANARCHY (Moonsault Side Slam) but Iesada fends off the attempt with a series of side elbow shots before sending Shimedzu down to the canvas with a front suplex. </p><p> </p><p>

Iesada then steadies himself for a Diving Knee Drop but he takes too long to steady himself and when he goes for it, Shimedzu is able to move out of the way.....and as Iesada staggers back up to his feet he is nailed with a LIFE FLASHER !!</p><p> </p><p>

One.......</p><p> </p><p>

Two......</p><p> </p><p>

Thr.......</p><p> </p><p>

Iesada kicks out but a determined Shimedzu keeps the pressure on he lifts Iesada up and momentarily forgetting about the pain in his arm, plants Iesada with the A-KO Arrow (Slingshot Falcon Arrow).......</p><p> </p><p>

One........</p><p> </p><p>

Two......</p><p> </p><p>

Three !! </p><p> </p><p>

Despite a very well worked game plan by Iesada, Shimedzu had emerged victorious to show incredible fighting spirit and earn another shot at the World Championship. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Result: Shimedzu [w] bt Tasuku Iesada [L] in 28:15 via pinfall (A-Ko Arrow)</span></strong></p><p>

</p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Rating: B+</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><strong>Onodera's Assessment:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> Whilst this didn't quite reach the heights of our best main events this year, this was still an excellent main event, between two skilled in ring performers. Shimedzu picks up the win here, as Iesada-san has already had a couple of shots this tour, so in effect Shimedzu gets his re-match with Nakasawa but he's earned in defeating both Toshusai and Iesada in the process he has earned the right to do so.</span> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Post Match Comments:</strong> </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#006400;"><strong>Shimedzu:</strong></span><span style="color:#006400;"> Once again I will be challenging for the World Championship, and when I step into the ring with Hiroaki Nakasawa next time, he will face a stronger competitor not only physically, not only mentally but also tactically....I know now just what it will take to be World Champion and I prepared to givei it everything I have got to hold the greatest prize in Puroresu !</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Tasuku Iesada:</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;"> I really am at a loss at to how I lost, my gameplan seemed to be working perfectly...all I can put it down to being, is that Shimedzu-san got lucky, very lucky but rest assured I will become World Champion.</span> </p><p>

<strong>Onodera's Viewpoint:</strong> Whilst this show didn't reach any great heights, it was a consistently solid effort from top to bottom and was perfectly acceptable for a show in a 'small market' such as Shikoku.</p>

<em>Innovated by Elemental II, this Powerbomb delivered form a Double Underhook is the move that has brought thr Elemental legacy at least from the second incarnation onwards it's most victories. An impactul manouevre, particularly on the back and neck of Elemental's opponents, it is a highly effective finisher but only one the ever popular masked man is able to deliver against his felllow Junior Division peers.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Elemental Clutch:</strong>

</p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/BfQ9YCvnVSU?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="The Koji Clutch"></iframe></div></div><p> </p><p>

<em>Another move innovated by Elemental II, this unique 'choke' submission brings a different form of attack to the high flying masked man's arsenal.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Elemental Suplex:</strong> <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2QZSUNPoUE&feature=related" rel="external nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2QZSUNPoUE&feature=related</a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The Bread and Butter move of the Elemental move-set since the days of the first incarnation, this double arm hook German Suplex has brought many victories over the years but has tended to become more of an effective set-up move/momentum changer over the years since the time of Elemental II, rather than as a main finisher.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Elemental Space Flying Drop:</strong> <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI3sFTmzG3c" rel="external nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI3sFTmzG3c</a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Whilst this match has never actually won a match for any of the incarnations who have worn the famous Blue and White Mask, this spectacular somersault plancha from the ring to the floor has been a trademark since the days of the original Elemental and whilst it may not win matches it can certainly change the momentum in Elemental's favour</em>. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Inferno Splash: </strong><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USwrKKaDEbc" rel="external nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USwrKKaDEbc</a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Whilst the likes of the Earth Breaker and the Elemental Suplex bring the 'steak' to the Elemental arsenal it is the Inferno Splash that brings the 'sizzle'. This spectacular Corkscrew 450 splash was another move innovated by Elemental II and if landed upon an opponent it not only usually brings victory it is also guaranteed to get the fans on their feet.</em></p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="color:#a0522d;">BHOTWGPuroresu.com</span></span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Burning Hammer fans in Tohoku Prefecture will be treated to a World Title match as BHOTWG bring their Burn, Don't Freeze Tour to the Akita Stadium on Wednesday 2nd June. Just two days after defeating Team INSPIRE's Tasuku Iesada to earn his second shot at the World Championship this tour, Shimedzu once again challenges Hiroaki Nakasawa for his belt. Last time Shimedzu may have come up short but he proved to be a dangerous challenger for the H-Bomb and with this big match experience in singles competition constantly increasing, Shimedzu has both the ability and the belief to end Nakasawa's reign as World Champion.</p><p> </p><p> There will also be further Championship action as the Black Heart Flying Squadron put the Junior Tag Team Belts on the line against the team they dethroned for the belts at Fire Dream of the Immortals Your New Heroes. Since losing the belts the tandem of Marihito Masuko and Elemental II have tended to have their eyes set on success in singles competition but they have made a succesful return to Tag action of late both as a duo or as part of a trio and boast a recent non title victory over the BHFS in a four way match. The Black Heart Flying Squadron have looked impressive as champions but this 'rematch' with Your New Heroes could well be Kiyaru and Scorpions toughest test yet. </p><p> </p><p> Another mouthwatering Tag Team match looks to the one between Team INSPIRE's Tasuku Iesada & Masaaki Okazaki and the Dragon Feet 2K9 duo of Miyamae and Junior Champion Sensational Dragon. Iesada will be keen to bounce back from his Contenders Circle defeat to Miyamae's regular Tag partner Shimedzu and Okazaki will be looking to go some way towards avenging his loss to Miyamae at Sword of Destiny that cost him his spot in the Contenders Circle but Miyamae despite losing to Iesada and Horri in the CC will be looking to continue the recent good form that got him there and Sensational Dragon will be keen to head into his defence of the Best of the Super Juniors brimming with confidence. </p><p> </p><p> It does not appear that Chuichi Sanda has been fully accepted into Team INSPIRE despite recently teaming with both John Pathlow and Masaaki Okazaki but he has been given a chance to personally impress Team INSPIRE's leader Tadiyuki Kikkawa when he steps into the ring alongside the King of Fighters to take on his former Tag Team partner Eiji Hamacho and former INSPIRE member Mike Watson, who will be keen for revenge against Sanda himself after he was on the receiving end of a chairshot from Sanda in his return to action on Monday. </p><p> </p><p> The on going, never ending war between the Burning Sekigun and Black Heart Brethren continues as Kinnojo Horri teams with Wild Fire (Tadakuni Toshusai & Takayuki Onodera) to take on Black Cobra and the World Tag Team Champions Black Magic (Yasunobu Masuno & Yasuhiko Taira). Showdowns between these two factions have always been heated affairs and this should be no different. </p><p> </p><p> The Junior Division will also be showcased in two matches, firstly the final spot in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament is still up for grabs between Universal Excellence's Haru Kurofuji, Little Fury's Yoshii Shiomi and Red Panther and there will be showcase six man scramble match featuring BOSJ Cup participants Barei Yasujiro, Size of the Fight (Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda), Optimum Impact (American Optimus & Super Joshuya) and John Pathlow. </p><p> </p><p> Also in a move that looks to be protecting the Junior Division from random attacks by The Behemoths ahead of the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, the BHOTWG Championship commitee have also laid down the law to The Behemoths saying that if either Kanishoki or Nisso Yuasha were to intefere any further matches they will be fired from BHOTWG. </p><p> </p><p> Rounding out the main show will be a Tag Team match between two former champion teams in the form of The Behemoths (Nisso Yuasha & Kanishoki) and Snow Lizzard (Sanetomo Shiraishi & Sessue Kawate). </p><p> </p><p> For those who can get to the Akita Stadium early they will be treated to bonus matches with RAGE's Mitsunari Fuganaga & Toshiki Shibanumo taking on the duo of Masutaro Kataoka & Roku Sotomura, plus VENOM goes up against Tiger Fuyuki.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><em>Here is a full run-down of the card for Show #29 of the Burn, Don't Freeze Tour-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <p>World Championship: <strong>Hiroaki Nakasawa</strong> vs Shimedzu</p><p>

<em>Shimedzu don´t get the job done this time either though he will get close.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tasuku Iesada & Masaaki Okazaki</strong> vs Miyamae & Sensational Dragon</p><p>

<em>Miyamae and Dragon are both quite good but they still seem like a weaker pair here.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Junior Tag Team Championship: <strong>Black Heart Flying Squadron</strong> vs Your New Heroes</p><p>

<em>There is a very real change for title change here but I rather see some other tag team taking these titles as Masuko and Elemenal III probably don´t need them as they are close to the top of cruiserweight division already.</em></p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Tadiyuki Kikkawa & Chuichi Sanda</strong> vs Eiji Hamacho & Mike Watson</p><p>

<em>Poor Hamacho certainly draw the short end of the stick when it comes to partners, no way Kikkawa loses here.</em></p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Horri, Toshusai & Onodera</strong> vs Black Cobra, Masuno & Taira</p><p>

<em>Horri is the difference maker here.</em></p><p> </p><p>

BOSJ Cup Qualifier: Haru Kurofuji vs Red Panther vs <strong>Yoshii Shiomi</strong></p><p>

<em>Kurofuji has a ral shot to win this one but I would go with Shiomi as UE needs to deal with Behemoths anyway.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Junior 6 Way: American Optimus vs Barei Yasujiro vs Hyosuke Kokan vs <strong>John Pathlow</strong> vs Kansuke Konda vs Super Joshuya</p><p>

<em>Pathlow is the guy who I see as highest on ladders from these six.</em></p><p>

</p><p><strong>

The Behemoths</strong> vs Snow Lizzard</p><p>

<em>Squash, in order to make Behemoths look dominant without hurting any real talent.</em></p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Fuganaga & Shibanumo</strong> vs Kataoka & Sotomura</p><p>

<em>I still can´t remember who exacly is who here other than that they are all jobbers. If memery serves Fuganaga was one of those RAGE guys though so lets go with him.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>VENOM</strong> vs Tiger Fuyuki</p><p>

<em>VENOM is above Tiger on ranks.</em></p>

<p>World Championship: <strong>Hiroaki Nakasawa</strong> vs Shimedzu</p><p>

<em>- Much as I love Shimedzu he's not dethroning Nakasawa yet and definitely not on a Tour Show.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Tasuku Iesada & Masaaki Okazaki vs <strong>Miyamae & Sensational Dragon</strong></p><p>

<em>- I forget that Miyamae and SD were in a stable together. I'll give this 'undersized' odd couple a win. And I don't have any justification for it other than... this seems like a very random match up.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Junior Tag Team Championship: <strong>Black Heart Flying Squadron</strong> vs Your New Heroes</p><p>

<em>- I could easily see the title changing hands but I really dig the name Black Heart Flying Squadron so they win because I don't want them to lose. Plus they may be Your New Heroes, but they're not My New Heroes.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Tadiyuki Kikkawa & Chuichi Sanda vs <strong>Eiji Hamacho & Mike Watson</strong></p><p>

<em>- Macho Hamacho for the win~! More likely this is to try to make Watson and Kikkawa a bit happier and can lead to Watson losing a KoF Open Challenge match later on.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Horri, Toshusai & Onodera</strong> vs Black Cobra, Masuno & Taira</p><p>

<em>- I suspect Horri won't want to job to that masked canadian reptilian gaijin.</em></p><p> </p><p>

BOSJ Cup Qualifier: <strong>Haru Kurofuji</strong> vs Red Panther vs Yoshii Shiomi</p><p>

<em>- Seems the most ready of the three.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Junior 6 Way: American Optimus vs Barei Yasujiro vs <strong>Hyosuke Kokan</strong> vs John Pathlow vs Kansuke Konda vs Super Joshuya</p><p>

<em>- Somehow the other member of SotF sneaks out a win thanks to his partner in what is sure to be spotty good fun. Over/under on finishers? 10. I'll go with the over.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Behemoths</strong> vs Snow Lizzard</p><p>

<em>- Snow Lizzard roadkill.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Fuganaga & Shibanumo vs <strong>Kataoka & Sotomura</strong></p><p>

<em>- Based on the fact both their names end in 'a' as opposed to an 'a' and an 'o'. What? I have to have one bizarroworld logic pick. It's mandated in my contract.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>VENOM</strong> vs Tiger Fuyuki</p><p>

<em>- Keep the mini-push going. I really dig Venom's mask.</em></p>
