USPW American Wrestling:

Live from the North West

Pre-Show: Nightfox defeated John Pathlow (C-), Art Reed defeated Danny Rushmore (C-)

The show opened up for once not with a match but with an angle – Enygma declaring that the Main Event of last week was not fair – he should have never been asked to team with T-Rex. As such he demanded a rematch with a partner of his choosing, and introduced the partner as Steven Parker. Chris Caulfield and Bruce the Giant came out – Caulfield scoffing as he pointed out that the last time he had to face Steven Parker he ran away. Obviously this riled Parker and we almost had a fight break out, but Bruce calmed it down, saying that he had no problem – and would gladly defeat Enygma once more. Bruce said that he wanted to see if Parker was really ready for the big leagues, and proposed a no-DQ match, which Enygma accepted as Parker shook his head (B-)

Match #1: The People’s Team vs Jumbo Jackson and Jack Griffith

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/FreddieDatsun.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DesDavids.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JumboJackson.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JackGriffith.jpg

The People’s Team are meandering around at the moment as I try to decide what to do with them – here it was job to Jackson and Griffith.

Jumbo Jackson and Jack Griffith defeated The People’s Team in 8.01 (C-)

After the match Art Reed and Nicky Champion were out to announce the fact that they had signed up to a match with Jackon and Griffith at Thanksgiving Thunder in four days time – and they had better be ready. Or something smart like that (B-)

Match #2: Jimmy Morris vs T-Rex

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/GeordieJimmyMorris.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/T-Rex_alt1.jpg

Dropping the “Geordie”, Jimmy Morris was the only one of the MOSC crew to be involved in the show tonight. And if anyone thinks he going to be anymore than a jobber they’ve got another thing coming. He didn’t make it to the two minute mark, yet showed great chemistry with the World Champion as he got squashed.

T-Rex defeated Jimmy Morris in 1.42 (C-)

Melody took a mic after the match and said that she had seen the commissioner and agreed that the no-DQ stipulation to the Main Event ran the risk of interference, which no-one wanted. As such, T-Rex was signed as the ringside enforcer, to ensure everything is nice and fair (B-)

The Towers of Power were shown backstage with Shane Sneer, with Mick telling his manager that he was ready for another singles run. Shane told him that he had to prove he was ready – and his match against Nicky Champion was the perfect opportunity ©

Match #3: Shoot Club and Savage Fury vs Dark Truth, Pain and Andre Jones

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MarcSpeed.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AlColeman.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/TribalWarrior.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Java.jpg

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpg

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/TravisCentury.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/SayedAli_eay.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Pain_eay.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AndreJones.jpg

According to commentary Jones had been invited onto his team tonight. Obviously without the thought that Darryl Devine might want to attack him. Which he did. This caused major confusion as we had a mass brawl in and out of the ring, but Pain went on the rampage throwing the faces out of the ring leaving the Dark Disciple to hit a Dark Driver on Java to pick up the victory.

Dark Truth, Pain and Andre Jones defeated Shoot Club and Savage Fury in 11.20 (D+)

It took Danny Jillefski to come out and demand that the brawl stopped, making three matches for Thanksgiving Thunder – Savage Fury vs Dark Truth, Marc Speed vs Pain and Andre Jones vs Darryl Devine (D+)

Belle Bryden and Steven Parker were shown backstage, not happy with Bryden having to team with Gorgon. It didn’t help when Alicia Strong and Raven Robinson said that they also wouldn’t be happy with teaming with… that, and to the ring we went to sort it out (D+)

Match #4: Alicia Strong and Raven Robinson vs Gorgon and Belle Bryden

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AliciaStrong.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/RavenNightfall_alt2.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Gorgon.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BelleBryden.jpg

Steve Smith and Micky Starr had the pleasure of J-Ro and Cherry Bomb as company on commentary, who insisted that the team of Strong and Robinson would be broken at Thanksgiving Thunder when it was all about the title. Here the fact that Gorgon and Bryden started brawling meant that the faces breezed to a win, Strong pinning Gorgon.

Alicia Strong and Raven Robinson defeated Gorgon and Belle Bryden in 6.46 (C-)

Bryden stormed out back and ran straight to Steven Parker and Enygma, who were trying to hype the Main Event. Parker comforted Bryden, happy to for once where the trousers in their relationship, while Enygma pointed out there were more important things to think about tonight (C+)

Match #5: Nicky Champion vs Mick Muscles

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/NickyChampion_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MickMuscles.jpg

Another good Nicky Champion match, as Mick Muscles failed to prove to Sneer that he was ready for another singles run. He fell to a Hawkeye Hammer.

Nicky Champion defeated Mick Muscles in 7.29 (B-)

As Champion left the ring Danny Rushmore slid into the ring and dropped Muscles with an Atomic Boot. He stomped away a little until Champion returned to help his opponent, and Rushmore wisely desist ©

Chris Caulfield hyped the Main Event and his title shot when Steven Parker came over to him, asking if he thought he was funny. Caulfield shrugged, and said that he wasn’t the one getting all angsty, but Parker said he was the one bringing up old issues, continuing the disrespect that he’s be shown since the minute he set foot in USPW. Parker said that this was insolence brought about under Sam Strong’s reign, but the tide is turning, and the new school are moving in (B-)

Match #6: Bruce the Giant and Chris Caulfield vs Steven Parker and Enygma in a no-DQ match

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BrucetheGiant.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/StevenParker.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg

Woah. It turns out the Steven Parker is an upgrade over T-Rex. Our World Champion. Hmmm. Anyway, a competitive match which saw Parker squealing with pain when Caulfield used the no-DQ rules and a cane to good affect. However, once Enygma took Caulfield outside T-Rex thought it an opportune moment to confuse “ringside enforcer” with “person to beat down Chris Caulfield”. With weapons around Caulfield put up a good fight, but left Bruce struggling in the ring, where Steven Parker put him in an arm bar. Bruce thrashed around and eventually removed Parker, but soon Enygma entered and was able to apply the Enygma variation… and Bruce eventually tapped.

Steven Parker and Enygma defeated Bruce the Giant and Chris Caulfield in 9.54 (B)

Overall Rating C+

5/6 was shared by BHK1978 and newcomer Swagger1994 (thanks for the predictions), the latter of whom was the only person to correctly predict the Main Event which had to be considered an upset.

C+? Whatever. Okay, the angles in the first half of the show were rubbish but still. Third best match in the Main Event though. Steven Parker – Main Eventer? He seems to think so. When I brought in the extra MOSC workers him, The Force and Travis Century each thought that it meant they were into the Main Event scene. That might be why The Force was adamant that he wanted a Main Event title run in his contract negotiations, and the only way he was going to sign a new contract was if I promised one. He signed a new contract. I don’t like breaking promises. I don’t like turning the clock back five years.

Tribal Warrior and T-Rex bond over… motorbikes. Phew. I was worried about their manly past time hobbies for a minute. The MOSC quartet of Harley Neill, Danny Patterson, Rolling Johnny Stones and Daniel Black Francis (who I just noticed never got a wrestle a MOSC match) sign new, cheaper contracts.

And now, USPW Thanksgiving Thunder, one of USPW’s big two events. That I booked most of the matches for at the last minute. An event that I rushed split up The Towers of Power for. And will be one worker’s last PPV.

Announced for USPW Thanksgiving Thunder:

Mick Muscles vs Danny Rushmore

The Towers of Power have won the Tag Team Titles four times in the last four years, but Mick Muscles’ quest for singles action has seen him unceremoniously dumped from the Sneer Corporation. He will no doubt feel betrayed by receiving an Atomic Boot from his tag partner Danny Rushmore, and will also be looking to show that he can win in singles action – remember, this is a former USPW World Champion.

Andre Jones © vs Darryl Devine for the USPW Television Title

Two more partners who have spectacularly separated over the last couple of months, this time over the Television Title that both men have held. The feud has heated up since Andre Jones injured Seduction, and the two have been given one more occasion to settle it between the one another.

Marc Speed vs Pain

Travis Century and his colleagues have been a constant thorn in Marc Speed’s side in the last few months at USPW, with Pain costing Speed a victory at the last PPV. The master of submissions will be looking for revenge here, but Pain has looked dominant in his matches so far.

Savage Fury © vs Dark Truth for the USPW Tag Team Titles

Dark Truth get their first shot at the Tag Team Titles, so experience wise they’ll be well behind five times champions Savage Fury. However, Travis Century holds plenty of experience himself, and teamed with his Disciple will be dangerous opponents.

Alicia Strong © vs Raven Robinson vs Joanne Rodriguez vs Cherry Bomb for the USPW Women’s Title

Alicia Strong will be up against it as Thanksgiving Thunder as she takes on the stalwarts of the Women’s Division in a Fatal Fourway. With four of the most talented women on the planet in the ring, this will be a must watch match.

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ArtReed.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/NickyChampion_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JackGriffith.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JumboJackson.jpg

Art Reed and Nicky Champion vs Jack Griffith and Jumbo Jackson

Ever since Nicky Champion retired Tyson Baine Jumbo Jackson has targeted the youngster, seemingly trying to prove that he is stronger than Champion, and therefore stronger than the departed Tyson Baine. With National Champion Jack Griffith at his side Nicky Champion has found aid in the shape of Art Reed, but recently the Corporation members have held the upper hand. Champion and Reed will be eager to put that right when they meet in the ring, where the match can be regulated.

Bruce the Giant vs Enygma

Enygma has promised to taker over USPW, and without Sam Strong who still hasn’t recovered from an attack by Enyga Bruce the Giant has stepped up to the plate to defend USPW’s honour. The giant has been on form last week but the momentum stopped last week as Enygma and Steven Parker targeted his right arm during their tag team match. There remains doubts about whether Bruce will be able to deliver the Giant Chokeslam, and without this weapon will he be able to put away Enygma?

T-Rex © vs Chris Caulfield for the USPW World Championship

Chris Caulfield earned a shot at T-Rex’s title at Born in the USA, and is undefeated in singles action since July. T-Rex singles winning streak in singles action also goes back to July, where it took Sam Strong to take away the victory. The two hottest wrestlers in USPW come together, and the result is bound to be a titanic battle.

Quick Picks:

Menace in the ring – USPW hasn’t changed to much in the time that I’ve taken over. Recently I’ve been trying to establish the Dark Disciple as a danger, but not enough for him to pick up the victory here. However, it was the veteran Travis Century who took the pinfall from Java after Tribal Century intercepted the Disciple as he tried to make the save.

Backstage Steven Parker was in Commissioner Doom’s office with Belle Bryden. He demanded that after his win last week he was booked in a match tonight – as people deserve to see him at work. Doom shook his head, saying that it was too late and there wasn’t enough time – but he willmake sure he gets a match on Wednesday. Parker said that wasn’t enough, and turned around to Bryden and told her it was time to make an impact. Doom stopped them as they were leaving his office, telling them if they interfered in the Women’s Title match or Enygma’s match, their jobs would be on the line ©

Shane Sneer was shown with Danny Rushmore as he headed to the ring, telling his college that Muscles had proved unable to be a threat in singles competition – a win here was essential (C+)

Continuing the theme of giants in the ring… although I have to remember that there’s a former World Champion in this match. It was an open, if uninspiring slugfest, which could have gone either way. The way it did go was Danny Rushmore missing with an Atomic Boot and getting rolled up by Muscles, giving him a singles victory at last.

Mick Muscles defeated Danny Rushmore in 7.57 (C-)

Bruce the Giant cut an interview hyping up his match against Enygma. He claimed that he was representing USPW and all their fans worldwide in standing up to Enygma, and said that was far more than the masked man had behind him (B+)

Darryl Devine came to the ring, looking slightly haggard. He said that Andre Jones had made his life miserable in the last month – all through selfishness. He wanted to be a team but Andre Jones couldn’t cope with him holding the Television Title – a title Andre Jones held for several months while they were a team. Devine said that to top it off he injured Seduction, and he was at the lowest he had ever been. He declared that only one thing would scrape him off this low – defeating the person who put him in this state ©

The final match in the sequence between these two partners for a while – it’s time to go off in a different direction. Devine gave it everything, showcasing off his high flying moves, but could just not put away his larger opponent. Jones used his physicality to wear away at Devine before hitting a Blast From The Past to retain his title.

Match #4: Art Reed and Nicky Champion vs Jack Griffith and Jumbo Jackson

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ArtReed.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/NickyChampion_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JackGriffith.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JumboJackson.jpg

A decent match, and we even through in some technical exchanges between Reed and Griffith. Just to throw something slightly different in there tonight. This mini-feud has actually been a little bit of an obstacle in Nicky Champion’s move into the Main Event, but it didn’t stop him pinning Jumbo Jackson after a Hawkeye Hammer.

Art Reed and Nicky Champion defeated Jack Griffith and Jumbo Jackson in 16.25 (B-)

Chris Caulfield hyped up the Main Event against T-Rex, saying that the champion was scared by refusing to comment – the champion that he pinned two weeks ago. The difference here was simple – the pin would make him USPW World Heavyweight Champion for the first time ever (B+)

Pain came out with Travis Century, who asked the crowd who wanted to join him. The boos left Century non-plussed, announcing that it didn’t matter, none of them were worthy. That brought out Marc Speed who got… proper mic time on a PPV. Yikes, these angles are bringing down the mood. Something about Century and Pain not being worthy of the USPW crowd, and he would show them (D+)

Match #5: Marc Speed vs Pain

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MarcSpeed.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Pain_eay.jpg

Pain started this match by bullying Speed, while he started working on Pain’s arm. When Pain eventually went for a Pain Topper Speed slipped out and applied the Cross Armbreaker. He only released it when Century jumped on the apron, but Speed soon knocked him down and reapplied the submission move, and the pain applied to Pain gave him no option but to tap out.

The challengers came out for the Women’s match, but before Alicia Strong came out Belle Bryden’s music hit. She demanded to be added to the match, but Strong came out to announce that she couldn’t demand anything – if she interfered at all she would be fired, so Cherry Bomb and Robinson throw the invader from the ring (D+)

A decent women’s match – I’ve never been able to have too many of them. Of course the disadvantage is that I had one winner and three losers, one of whom was Raven Robinson who did get a nearfall on Strong. However, the champion retained her title after a Strong Arm Tactic on Cherry Bomb.

Alicia Strong © defeated Raven Robinson, Joanne Rodriguez and Cherry Bomb in 13.01 to retain the USPW Women’s Title ©

Alicia was the last to leave the ring, but as she left Enygma came out for his match, and stopped Strong. Enygma told her that daddy’s little girl, like Bruce the Giant, was another of Sam Strong’s influences left in USPW – making the promotion dirty, stifling everyone. An upset Alicia pulled away, and Enygma waved, telling her to never come back (B)

Match #7: Bruce the Giant vs Enygma

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BrucetheGiant.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg

I was hoping for more from this match, to be honest. And thinking about it, with the poor angles likely to cost me a grade this could be one of my more disappointing PPV’s of the year, despite it being one of my big two. We gave these two plenty of time and Enygma tried to work his Enygma Variation, but Bruce was able to get to the ropes. However, his right arm was soon out off action, with him unable to deliver the Giant Choke Slam at the appropriate moment. The match went back and forth until Enygma went for the Enygma Cutter, but Bruce blocked with his left arm, and with his weaker arm delivered a Giant Chokeslam for the victory.

Bruce the Giant defeated Enygma in 19.13 (C+)

After the match the main screen flickered on… and the crowd cheered as Sam Strong was shown. Sam said that he was at home watching, but he was just about fit to come back to work, and had a camera installed for is he wanted to make a comment. He went on to say that Enygma insulted his daughter for no reason – she is where she is on merit, and would be staying, however after that defeat perhaps it should be Enygma who was going! Enygma shook his head but his concentration went long enough for Bruce to grab him once more with his left hand and deliver another Giant Chokeslam to the applause of his boss (A)

We played a little hype video for the Main Event to try and calm the crowd down. It didn’t (A)

Match #8: T-Rex © vs Chris Caulfield for the USPW World Championship

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_World.jpg

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/T-Rex_alt1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

A good, even match, and after a ref bump first T-Rex low-blowed Chris Caulfield, before the former DaVE man decided to go hardcore with a Singapore Cane. That’s the point when Steven Parker sneaked in and waffled Caulfield with a chair, adding a couple of extra shot in for good measure. Parker rolled Caulfield into the ring and then hit a Future Shock for good measure, and all T-Rex had to do was make the cover as Parker shook the ref awake to make the count.

T-Rex © defeated Chris Caulfield in 15.18 to retain the USPW World Championship (B-)

As Melody and T-Rex left Enygma came down to join Steven Parker, and they double teamed Caulfield until Bruce the Giant came out to try and make the save. However, the save attempt was really only pulling Chris Caulfield clear, as with an injured arm he didn’t fancy taking on two opponents (A)

Overall Rating B-

TakerNGN74 gets the victory scoring 7/8, only failing to see Mick Muscles getting the victory over Mick Muscles (which was an upset as no-one saw it coming. BHK1978 takes the quarterly prize with a 77/107 score - a walk in the park as he predicted almost twice as many shows as anyone else in that time (although his three clean sweeps were matched dy Dragonmack in that period.

So… angles brought down that show – and I still got a B- show? Which was my second best show ever? I’ll take that. The Main Event did enter my top 10, but Match of the Night was actually the earlier Champion / Reed vs Jackson / Griffith match, which was Match #5 on the all time list. No title changes, and I don’t think Chris Caulfield will be too happy with Steven Parker…

USPW American Wrestling:

Live from the South East

Pre-Show: Mick Muscles and The Force defeated The Rebels Who Need a New Name (D+), Nicky Champion squashed Bruiser (C-)

The show opened with Chris Caulfield calling out the man who cost him his chance at the USPW Word Title, Steven Parker, who duly obliged with Belle Bryden on his arm. Caulfield claimed that he thought he could get Parker sacked after his warning to not interfere, but he’s not going to go there. He said that the only way he was interested in getting even was in the ring. Parker smugly accepted, saying that it was time to wipe someone else out, but was not happy when Caulfield said that confidence should mean that he was happy with the match being made a hardcore match. Parker didn’t look happy, but when Caulfield asked him if he was scared, he was forced to accept. Bruce the Giant then came out to add that in case Parker thought that he thought that perhaps the new rules would mean Enygma could get involved in his behalf, he was insisting that he would be ringside enforcer – and he would make damned sure no-one interfered (B-)

Pleaseantly surprised that the crowd got into this one, but I’m not going to complain. Cahill discovered that his signing with USPW was not to mean a monster push as he tapped out once more to a Cross Armbreaker from Speed.

Shoot Club defeated Pain and Dark Disciple in 5.19 (C-)

Nicky Champion was shown in Commissioner Domo’s office, asking how T-Rex’s next contender would be named. Doom admitted that he didn’t know – it was down to Sam Strong, who would be back in USPW for the next show. Melody walked in with T-Rex and asked what Champion thought he had done to earn a title shot, to which Champion reminded Melody that he had removed a thorn in Rex’s side by retiring Tyson Baine, which silenced her as he walked off with a grin (B-)

Yes, I’m bringing Sam back for our first show on a new network. Well, you would, wouldn’t you?

Match #2: Paige Croft vs Belle Bryden

Paige Croft – no longer my backstage interviewer. Contract coming to an end. No need to renew that. Easy win for Bryden - although surprisingly well received.

Belle Bryden defeated Paige Croft in 3.23 (C-)

Bryden took a mic and said that she had been disrespected by the ladies of USPW at Thanksgiving Thunder, and called them all out. Raven Robinson answered on their behalf telling Bryden that she was not nearly as big as she thought she was, and ought to pipe down for a while. Bryden refused to do that, but challenged Robinson to a match the following week, which she accepted (C-)

Tune in on our new channel for Sam Strong and Raven Robinson vs Belle Bryden!

Backstage Chris Caulfield was still angry when Art Reed came over with a college who he wanted to introduce to Caulfield. His name turned out to be Daniel Reed, a cousin from the UK. Caulfield shook his hands and asked if Daniel was a wrestler, which he confirmed. Caulfield told him that if he was half as good as his cousin he was in for a bright future, and wished him luck for the future (D+)

Match #3: Andre Jones © vs Nightfox for the USPW Television Title

This is what you get when you throw two people together who don’t have any chemistry together, for a title that no-one cares about, when one of the competitors hasn’t been seen for a month. Disaster. Clean win though – hopefully not a match that will be repeated (someone will have to quote me on that sometime).

Andre Jones © defeated Nightfox in 6.35 to retain the USPW Television Title (D)

We cut backstage where someone had let Mick Muscles have a mic. Apparently after being booted out of the Sneer Corporation and defeating Danny Rushmore at Thanksgiving Thunder he thought himself in line for a National Title shot ©

Alicia Strong was shown backstage talking to the USPW Tag Team Champions, Savage Fury. She asked them if they wouldn’t mind sticking close to Sam when he was back next week – he might need a bit of muscle. The champions agreed to request, saying Sam had always looked after them, and they would return the favour (C+)

Squash! Stones didn’t even get entrance music. I wonder if come of the MOSC workers are wondering why they bothered…

Jumbo Jackson defeated Johnny Stones in 2.50 (D+)

Did I mention Danny Rushmore and Jack Griffith were ringside? No? Well, they were. And Jumbo Jackson hit Danny Rushmore with a Jumbo Avalanche. I don’t think Jackson took to well to him losing to Mick Muscles (C+)

Enygma came out to say that he was looking forward to seeing Sam Strong next week. He could take him to task about all that is wrong with USPW – and he would then destroy it (B+)

Match #5: Art Reed vs Enygma

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ArtReed.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg

After a really poor midcard, I’m quite reliant on these Main Events delivering. Oh, there we go, one of USPW’s best matches ever. That’s a good start. A phenomenal match for Daniel Reed to witness from ringside. The two really took it to one another with Reed getting a couple of nearfalls, and almost locking in the Dread Lock. I thought it would be insulting for Reed to tap to Enygma here, so instead he won with an Enygma Cutter.

Enygma defeated Art Reed in 12.52 (B)

As Enygma got out of the ring Steven Parker came out for the Main Event, with the two offering various backslaps to one another. It all ended when the ringside enforcer, Bruce the Giant, was out – Enygma forced to leave while staring daggers at the man who defeated him at Thanksgiving Thunder (B)

Match #6: Chris Caulfield vs Steven Parker in a harcore match

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/StevenParker.jpg

I’ll be honest, I was hoping for a B- from this one. Perhaps the crowd didn’t enjoy the men hitting each other with various tame weapons – although personally I’d have been rooting for Steven Parker being roughed up. He did receive a few blows to his face but the key move was a hockey stick between Caulfield’s legs. A Future Shock onto a trash can and Parker was declared the winner.

Steven Parker defeated Chris Caulfield in 10.51 (C+)

Bruce consoled Chris Caulfield as he trudged away… to be met by a viscous clothesline from T-Rex. Parker kept Bruce distracted as Rex hauled Caulfield over his shoulders and dropped him off the stage through a table, just as Nicky Champion had previously done to Tyson Baine (B+)

Overall Rating C+

BHK1978 and Dragonmack both get 5/6, only missing out on the Main Event which was almost impossible to predict without realising Chris Caulfield was going. Him, Justice and Baine all hurt, but USPW will continue!

Who thinks the ending of that show was a little risky for TV? Yes, I agree, but I’m leaving the network, so what are they going to do about it? Anyway, it was a way to retire Chris Caulfield, who has signed with SWF, despite late interest from TCW. It’s a real pity this one as Caulfield was meant to sink into midcard action, where I’m not quite sure that SWF would have shown any interest. However, with James Justice's departure Caulfield had to get pushed up the card, which eventually led to his work being noticed by the big boys. Caulfield leaves having held the USPW Television Title once. Paige Croft also leaves. To far less fanfare.

The offers to Chris Caulfield came in just over a week ago, which gave me three shows to play with, and the realisation that I could put one heel over him on TV after the PPV. Normally this shouldn’t be so hard, but I couldn’t find a logical candidate, so that’s when a mini-rewrite came into play. The alliance between Enygma and Steven Parker was formed allowing Parker to receive a decent push – which also made sense given that Parker had early issues in USPW with Caulfield.

Oh yes, Chris Caulfield debuts on SWF Supreme TV. In the Main Event. Defeating Vengeance.

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DanielFrancis.jpg

Elsewhere Daniel Black Francis debuted as Daniel Reed, Art Reed’s English cousin. Right. Johnny Stones and Bruiser both wrestled their first matches, both getting squashed. Meanwhile, Enygma and Art Reed wrestled my fourth best match ever.

Next week we move network to The Pop! Network. Did I mention that Sam Strong’s back?

USPW American Wrestling:

Live from the South East

I will say now that this show will not be ordered correctly for ratings. More for purpose.

Pre-Show: Shoot Club, Mick Muscles and Darryl Devine defeated The Rebels, Danny Rushmore and Giant Redwood (C-), Art Reed and Daniel Reed defeated Kicks From Hell ©

Get this – Art Reed and Daniel Reed have excellent chemistry as partners. The TEW Gods are shining on me.

The show opens with a car arriving… at it’s the return of USPW owner Sam Strong! He is quickly met by USPW World Champion T-Rex with Melody, demanding to know who he will face at USPW Made in America. Sam responded by saying that this was another new era for USPW on the Pop! Network, and as such T-Rex will be facing a new, fresh faced American challenger at Made in America – whoever won in the Main Event out of Nicky Champion and Steven Parker. As T-Rex left Strong turned to the camera and filled everyone in on how Enygma turned on him and put him in hospital, and how Enygma promised to destroy USPW. Sam said that he would meet Enygma in the ring after the Main Event – but he may find it difficult to destroy USPW with what he’s got planned (B)

Match #1: Bruce the Giant and The Force vs Dark Truth

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BrucetheGiant.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JimForce.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/TravisCentury.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/SayedAli_eay.jpg

Rather than never giving The Force an opportunity to get near the Main Event given my promised Main Event title run, I’ve decided to give him a little push, and sees what he does with it. He’s a very, very long way away from a Main Event title though – although he was victorious here. Although it helped when Bruce the Giant is on your team to deliver a Giant Choke Slam to Travis Century. Sadly for Marc Speed, who’s currently feuding with Century’s boys, he was not booked on tonight’s show.

Bruce the Giant and The Force defeated Dark Truth in 7.10 ©

Sam Strong was shown settling down into his office when Tag Champions Savage Fury joined him. Sam thanked them for accepting Alicia Strong’s request for protection, but he did feel that his daughter was being over protective. He told them not to take their eyes of their match tonight, a real showcase of talent (he said talent with a straight face) (B)

Match #2: Des Davids vs Enygma

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DesDavids.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg

Des Davids had Freddie Datsun with him at ringside, and despite his match later Steven Parker was also ringside with Enygma. Although Parker and Datsun argued, they didn’t affect the result which was Enygma picking up a clean victory with an Enygma Cutter.

Enygma defeated Des Davids in 8.54 (C+)

Andre Jones conducted an interview in which we shall call the low point of the night. However, as he was a champion and had been missed out the battle of champions, we had to give him an opportunity to vent his frustration while bigging himself up. Which he did (D+)

We cut over to Raven Robinson and Belle Bryden arguing with one another before their match, before Amber Allen (who’s been almost forgotten about recently) and Joanne Rodriguez split them up and sent them to the ring - trying to give our women a little screen time (C-)

Match #3: Raven Robinson vs Belle Bryden

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/RavenNightfall_alt2.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BelleBryden.jpg

We told these two to go out and showcase the Women’s Division – and they did a good job of it. Bryden showed the more varied offence and frustrated Robinson until she was able to deliver the Dish of the Day.

Belle Bryden defeated Raven Robinson in 8.17 (C-)

Jack Griffith was shown venting his frustration to Shane Sneer and Jumbo Jackson about having to join forces again with T-Rex. Jackson told Griffith that he felt equally frustrated – how he was overlooked for a title shot staggered him. They both looked at Sneer, but he backed away, saying that Strong booked this show, and he hasn’t been able to see him – but he will do them justice for next week (B-)

Match #4: Savage Fury © vs T-Rex © and Jack Griffith © in a non-title match

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/TribalWarrior.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Java.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/T-Rex_alt1.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JackGriffith.jpg

And here’s the match that I knew was in the wrong place, but given the amount of title holders I couldn’t hide it away. It could have been the opener, but deserved a little hype. We did see plenty of good, old school slugfesting (to make up a word), and we even got a Greetings From The Island on Jack Griffith after he had delivered a Jack in the Box. The final say came from T-Rex, delivering an Extinction to Tribal Warrior.

T-Rex and Jack Griffith defeated Savage Fury in 11.06 (C-)

Nicky Champion came out, and thanked Sam Strong for this opportunity – the beginning of a march towards a title match with T-Rex. Steven Parker came out to tell him not to get ahead of himself – he may be Sam’s favoured pooch, but he had to get through him, and as has been seen over the last few weeks, that’s not such an easy task (B-)

Match # 5: Nicky Champion vs Steven Parker

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/NickyChampion_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/StevenParker.jpg

Could the two youngsters be relied on in the Main Event, especially given the struggle of the previous match? The answer was yes as they pulled out Match of the Night, giving it everything as they both fought for their first World Title shot. There was a little bit of an issue with selling, but that just allowed the match to not slow at all. A reversed Future Shock into Hawkeye Hammer won the match for Champion.

Nicky Champion defeated Steven Parker in 11.42 (B-)

After the match Sam Strong came out with Alicia Strong, Bruce the Giant and Savage Fury, joining Nicky Champion in the ring. He called of Enygma, who joined Steven Parker (who was still ringside with Belle Bryden). Sam Strong reminded the audience that Enygma promised to destroy USPW, but wondered how he intended to do this. He looked around him, asked what he had here. The Women’s Champion. The next contender to the World Championship. The Tag Team Champions. The largest wrestler in wrestling today. Sam said that this was just a selection of people who were loyal to USPW – he was sure there was more out there. With all these people on his side, what was Enygma going to do, exactly?

Enygma refuted the loyalty to Sam Strong. He said that they were loyal to Strong’s money – that was all. The only reason that so many people stood with him is because their current jobs depended on it – stand against Sam Strong and you could be kicked out of USPW. Strong said that this was not so, and said that they were all here by choice. Enygma asked if that meant that there were no repercussions for anyone who stood against him, and Strong said there wasn’t – they would still be treated professionally. Enygma smiled, and said if that the case he was ready to fight, and started towards to ring…

… where the Tag Team Champions Savage Fury suddenly started beating down Bruce the Giant and Nicky Champion. Enygma and Steven Parker joined in, with Belle Bryden going after Alicia Strong. The numbers game was against Sam’s team, and by the time The People’s Team tried to assist the heels were so on top that Savage Fury were able to stop them getting into the ring. Enygma backed Sam Strong into a corner, and said that things were simple – he was going to destroy USPW from within. And he wasn’t going to send Strong to hospital, he was going to leave him around to watch his empire crumble around him, leaving him with nothing. With that Savage Fury chucked the owner out of the ring to join the bodies littered on the floor (B+)

Overall Rating B-

Dragonmack gets the sweep this week, with BHK1978 just missing out with the Main Event. At least it had young talent in for a change...

Debut on The Pop! Network – and I pull off my best show ever, largely thanks to the angles, as well as a solid Main Event. Viewers are down by 25% as I move timeslot to get into the Canadian market, and we’ll see how that impacts financially. We did see a slight rearrangement of the roster as Savage Fury turned heel to join Enygma against Sam Strong, which will probably get them more airtime. I’m sure BHK1978 will be happy with that.

Shall I point out that Art & Daniel Reed vs Kicks From Hell in the dark out-rated Savage Fury vs T-Rex and Jack Griffith? Nah, that’d be cruel. But considering few viewers would be able to identify Daniel Reed and Jared Johnson (and for that matter John Pathlow), I’m impressed. With the youngsters, rather than the champions.

I’ll have to admit, I’m pleased with that show. I enjoyed building up to it probably even more than building up to Enygma’s turn that kicked this all off. Now, neither of those two shows were PPV’s, so I think I need to focus on them a little more.

And it seems that the more beer the wrestlers bring the better the show is. So my thanks go out to Jumbo Jackson for raising everyone’s spirits with… spirits. And beer.

Urgh, the industry and economy are going down the pan, so much so that BSC and AAA have started trimming their rosters.

Don’t know what J-Ro did to deserve that

Trying to wake the crowd after the dull pre-show, and we’ve got Enygma, Steven Parker and Savage Fury. Enygma declared that the Strong’s lived in some strange delusional world where everyone worships the ground where they walk on. This is the world where Alicia Strong asks Savage Fury to protect her dad and they’re just meant to snap to attention and do the job. Well, they may have done that in the past but that’s because they feared for their job – but the truth had been revealed. Sam had said that everyone was free to make their own choice, and Savage Fury had chosen to stand against the Strongs, free of upper class of USPW (B)

Match #1: Savage Fury © vs Findlay and Nightfox for the USPW Tag Team Titles

I can involve Savage Fury in hot segments, but it’s proving a little harder to put them in good matches. This was a walk in the park for them, with Tribal Warrior destroying Nightfox with a Head Hunter Special.

Savage Fury © defeated Findlay and Nightfox in 6.25 to retain the USPW Tag Team Titles (D)

Sam Strong came out, and invited anyone who wanted to join him by choice on the stage. Out came Bruce the Giant and Nicky Champion. And Alicia Strong and The Force. And Art and Daniel Reed. And The People’s Team. Sam looked around as the crowd cheered and suggested that he still had support in numbers, of USPW veterans to recent signees. Sam said that that should tell Enygma something – it should tell him that he’s here to stay. He turned around to go, before adding that Savage Fury would be defending their tag team titles against The People’s Team at USPW Made in America (C+)

Match #2: Shoot Club and Mick Muscles vs Dark Truth and Pain

Travis Century’s men had some momentum, and then we moved network. Then they started losing. Al Coleman was barely in this match, as we left Marc Speed and Mick Muscles to do the damage. Just before Mick Muscles hit a Bulldozer Powerbomb on Pain the announcers reminded us that he faced Jack Griffith at Made in America for the National Title.

Shoot Club and Mick Muscles defeated Dark Truth and Travis Century in 9.19 (C-)

After the match Marc Speed got on the mic and said that it was time it to end it between him and Century. Century responded by saying that it would only end if he joined him, to which Speed said it wouldn’t happen. Speed asked for a match at Made in America, and Century accepted on one condition – if Speed lost he had to become a disciple of his. Speed shook his head, thought about it and then said that he accepted under one condition of his own – if he won he would never be subjected to Century’s mad preaching again. They shook hands as the Dark Disciple slipped into the ring behind Speed, but Speed quickly took him down and tossed him out of the ring laughing (C-)

Match #3: Alicia Strong © vs Cherry Bomb in a non-title match

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AliciaStrong.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/CherryBomb_alt2.jpg

This match was not originally on the card, but with a couple of quick matches we found that we did have a moment. And a moment for a really good five minutes of action, until Belle Bryden attacked the Women’s Champion for a DQ.

Alicia Strong defeated Cherry Bomb in 5.01 by DQ (C+)

Cherry Bomb tried to pull Bryden away from Strong, but Bryden dropped her to the mat. Amber Allen came out from the back and the women teamed up to force Bryden from the ring, who just pointed at the numbers it took to stop her. Amber Allen took the mic and told Bryden that she was getting too big for her boots, and she would happily face her one on one to cut her down. This one’s happening next week ©

Match #4: T-Rex © vs Darryl Devine in a non-title match

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/T-Rex_alt1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DarrylDevine_alt1.jpg

And this squash was what really made time for the previous match. Devine got in a quick attack and a top rope plunge… into the Jurassic Crush. Which crushed the life out of him.

T-Rex defeated Darryl Devine in 3.15 ©

Melody took a mic to hype the World Champion’s performance, before turning her attention to Nicky Champion. Melody pointed out that Champion was not a credible threat – after all his attention seemed to be on the old man mentor Sam Strong, rather than on the World Champion like it should be. Champion came out and thanked Melody for her advice, but told her that his focus was clear – he was an American Made Man, and he would become World Champion for the first time at Made in America (B-)

Match #5: Bruce the Giant and Nicky Champion vs Jumbo Jackson and Jack Griffith

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BrucetheGiant.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/NickyChampion_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JumboJackson.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JackGriffith.jpg

This match was almost the Main Event – I’m glad it wasn’t but I’m now crossing my fingers for that match to deliver. A decent scrap where I wasn’t willing to let anyone look too bad… which perhaps isn’t the best way to build up the World Champion challenger. Mick Muscles was the turning point, coming out to egg on Giant and Champion, which got right up Jackson and Griffith’s nose. Jackson left the ringside to attack Muscles, with Griffith cheering on his college from the ring. He stopped cheering when he turned around into a Hawkeye Hammer.

Bruce the Giant and Nicky Champion defeated Jumbo Jackson and Jack Griffith in 10.28 ©

Bruce the Giant lumbered out towards the Muscles / Jackson brawl, which made Jackson decide that perhaps he should head to the back (B-)

Match #6: The People’s Team vs Enygma and Steven Parker

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/FreddieDatsun.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DesDavids.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/StevenParker.jpg

Okay, so I almost didn’t put this as the Main Event. That would have been some mistake. A great match that really saw The People’s Team return to some sort of form as they refused to let Enygma dominate the match. We saw a little bit of the old Steven Parker when he showed frustration as he couldn’t get the win, which saw Enygma angrily shouting at his partner. Parker eventually made the tag as Des Davids charged in, taking out Enygma, Parker and the ref all in one fell swoop. Which is when Savage Fury hit the ring and started attacking the tired People’s Team. The Force and Art Reed (with Daniel watching ringside) came out to confront Savage Fury, but the momentum had been swayed and Freddie Datsun was soon forced to tap out to the Enygma Variation.

Enygma and Steven Parker defeated The People’s Team in 11.06 (B)

Sam Strong came out after the match to add another match to USPW Made in America – where Enygma and Steven Parker would team up to face Bruce the Giant and The Force. A match that Enygma and Parker seemed to suggest they were ready for (B+)

Overall Rating C+

Yep, that's a BHK1978 clean sheet - just a pity he had no competition this time round!

4th best match ever – with Des Davids still a midcarder that’s a good result. The minor bad news from the show was The Force injuring his tail bone – I guess that’s what you get out of a match with Giant Redwood. He’ll be better by next week.

CGC fall to Cult, making two cuts – Andy Gordy and Principessa. Principessa works as a manager or Road Agent nowadays, doing neither of them well enough to justify me bringing her in despite her being Amber Allen’s mentor. Meanwhile at USPW Baby Jamie signs a new contract. Hmm, forgot that he’s a bit of a locker-room cancer. Also Jared Johnson leaves MAW having been with them on loan for three months where MAW refused to use him for his contracted number of appearances (one defeat to Ace Youngblood). Now, I respect Rip Chord, and I may have to look again at Johnson. Sure, he’s young and not exactly winning any matches at the moment, but he is in the prestigious position of teaming with John Pathlow. That position may better be served by others.

BAH GAWD NEMESIS IS BACK!!! Shame that his conference announcing his return had him laughing at the suggestion that he could join USPW. I won’t make an offer then…

Announced for USPW American Wrestling:

Andre Jones © vs The Force for the USPW Television Title

Darryl Devine and Nightfox vs Pain and Dark Disciple

Mick Muscles vs Jumbo Jackson

Amber Allen vs Belle Bryden

Nicky Champion vs John Pathlow

Bruce the Giant vs Steven Parker

For the first time in three months Enygma gets a night off wrestling main show.

Alicia Strong and Amber Allen vs Belle Bryden and Joanne Rodriguez

The talent on this team is too much to deny the win here.

Art and Daniel Reed vs Pain and Dark Disciple

I am not sure DBF is over enough in the U.S. to get a win here.

Jack Griffith © vs Mick Muscles for the USPW National Title

Marc Speed vs Travis Century

It is Marc Freakin Speed, of course he should get the win here.

Savage Fury © vs The People’s Team for the USPW Tag Team Titles

I guess they should be called the Fury from here on out as you never seem to job them.
