The Infamous, Rebellious, Suicidal… 4C; The Evolution of GREED

Recommended Posts

So far so good, EV ! It's really a pleasure to read your high quality backstory posts every time. Good luck with this diary. I followed your PSW work with passion, but I have to admit that DOA quickly faded in my interest for some reason.

Thank you, MrOnu! It's much appreciated to hear some feedback thus far. The story itself has been a lot of fun to develop, so, it's great to know that it's being received well. :D Plus, for those of you who aren't big fan's of major back stories, I'm one more 'back story' post away from having John review the entire 4C roster. Once that is done, Then we will move even closer to the first show (which will probably have a card listed on the post following the Roster Review).

As for the DOA, Sadly, that's how my feelings were about it as well. I think I lost touch with it because it didn't really feel like a John Greed story to be honest. It felt like John was trying to live the life of someone else. So, once I realized that, I instantly lost focus. Now, though, with the 4C, I'm more excited than I ever have been for a project as I'm given the full range of craziness. ha.

Cheers.

“What the hell did you talk me into, Sayeed?”

I swerve aggressively in, and out of, the steady late-night traffic; cementing my box-of-a-cell-phone firmly up against my right ear. The consistent screeching of my, factory-issued, balding tires proclaiming my less-than-stellar entrance into the ‘Great North’. Meanwhile, the voice on the other end meets my steadily anxious demeanor with a hearty-sense of laughter; aware of the meeting I had just been subjected to a matter of 10 minutes ago. However, unaware as to how I had perceived said meeting. With that said, my opening statement was a clear directive as it pertains to my fearful expectations of the job at hand.

“What’s wrong, John? Did the big, bad, ‘G-Man’ bite? Clamp down on your arm a little?”

His response, dripping in playful sarcasm, is intertwined with a continuous expulsion of raspy laughter; most likely the first conversation Sayeed has embarked upon since a much-needed cigarette break. With that said, his psychologically peering chuckle only further perpetuates the notion that he knew exactly why I was ‘stirred up’; the unwanted victim of an awkward, somewhat troubling, social exchange with a miniature-being they’ve labeled “G-Man”.

“That’s another thing, “G-Man”? What the hell does that even mean? That man, that thing, owns 4C? He’s the boss? How is that even possible? He can barely string together a coherent sentence, let alone, run a wrestling promotion!”

My anger is well-justified, at least through my own review, as Sayeed practically pushed me to ‘come on board’; leaving out a major issue as it pertains to the very man I would be working for. In a sense, How could I not feel ‘dooped’? I came in expecting a sturdy sense of employment, a place to further my development as a head booker, and I left with the absolute fear that I’ve just made the biggest mistake of my life. If you ask me, That’s well worth a stint of anxiety-based, fear-fed, anger!

“He won’t harm you, John. At least, He hasn’t bitten anyone for at least a couple of years by now…”

Another stint of raspy, nicotine-depleted, laughter encompasses my ear; stemming from a man who feels as if he’s just subjected another to one of the great, shocking, secrets of the Pro Wrestling Industry.

“Are you kidding me? What the hell, Sayeed?”

My blood pressure continues to spike; still swerving in, and out of, traffic like a well-versed taxi cab driver. The willingness to despise the world included.

“He’s a good guy, John. Honestly, he is. He’s just a little eccentric. A little… ‘out there’.”

“No sh*t, Sayeed.”

I respond rather harshly. It wasn’t warranted truthfully; however, my psyche currently finds itself entangled in the internal struggle of my addiction; wanting to simply pull over at a nearby bar in which to drink my sorrows away. At least, in that case, I could find a sense of liquid-courage in which to forge on forward with such a unexpected challenge; the 4C. That said, ‘falling off the wagon’ was something I wasn’t very interested in. I have known crippling addiction quite well over the last few years, befriended my demons as if they were physical beings, and, even in my depressive-spiral, knew that this wasn’t the best choice available. However, sometimes ‘the best choice available’ isn’t all that intriguing either.

“Whoa, John. Cool yaself down, man.”

The laughter had subsided by now; Sayeed’s tone turning somewhat serious at this point; however, still carrying the inherent joyful nature within his natural vocal inflections.

“You have nothing to worry about. Sure, “G-Man” is a little off; he may not be the easiest boss you’ve ever worked for. However, he can’t beat Mitch in that area.
[Laughs]
Mitch was an a** because he’s a control freak. “G” on the other hand, He’s just a little freak who loves Pro Wrestling just as much as his mounting collection of Action Figures. If you can get past the weirdness, he’s a great man to work for. He loves this company, he values his wrestlers, and will do anything for the sake of 4C.
[Pauses]
This is his baby & he treats it as such. Why else do you think this company has been around for so long? He’s won over the hearts of his employees, the local banks, and almost every wrestling fan in the country. Give him, and us, a shot, John. I promise you, if you can do that, then you’ll find this place to be far more comfortable than you first thought.”

His reasoning is rather just; so much so, that my body starts to feel the decline of my nervosas. Removing their debilitating grip for a short second; filling the mind with the thought of ‘Can I’: How can I make this work?

With my aggression, stemming from the notion that I felt uninformed about the job at hand, start to slowly wane; I slowly steer my stuttering steed to a complete stop. Located, now, on a dirty side-road somewhere on the outskirts of the ‘Industrial district’ of the outlying Ottawa city limits; I find head buried deeply into my left hand, my mind racing for a final decision the matter.

With that, I slowly begin to speak once again; still holding my head inches from the steering wheel as my left hand cradles it’s weight.

“You better be right about this one…”

Shortly after my statement, Sayeed returns with a realistic view of the task at hand.

“Me being right or wrong isn’t the truth here, John. You need this place just as much as we need you. Where were you 2 weeks ago? Slumming on Larry’s [Wood] couch like a washed up nobody? That’s no way to live your life man. You’re a wrestling genius. I know that and the rest of the roster here in 4C knows that. So, what’s the hang-up? A crazy boss? Find me a wrestling company in the world who doesn’t have a crazy boss and I’ll admit that I’m wrong. Go ahead…”

He’s right. This industry is chalked-full of ego’s, nervosas, and high anxiety; not to mention full-blown crazies like “G-Man”. With that in mind, another question comes to mind again.

“Again, though, Sayeed. “G-Man”? What’s that all about?”

Sayeed’s trademark, raspy-toned, laughter fills my ear once again.

“It’s a nickname. Actually short for “The Gremlin”.
[Laughs]
While it’s comical, I know, he’s actually embraced the name. It fit’s the little bugger well.”

http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy212/Greed4C/Misc%20Images/Winner.jpg

A short, unexpected, stint of laughter formulates out of my mouth; joining Sayeed in the process.

“I ‘spose.”

I respond rather quickly, Mulling over my final decision… Coming to the truth of the matter shortly there after. Almost as if it were zapped into my combustible mind like a raging lightning bolt from the heavens; beckoning me to stay in Ottawa for whatever reason.

“Alright, I’ll stay.”

I can sense the smile forming upon Sayeed’s grizzled face; excited for 4C’s future as it now rests in my hands. Luckily, for all involved, no one really realizes the plight of my psyche. For, if they did, they may not be so overly inviting of my self-destructive ways. Potentially putting the entire company at risk in the process.

“’Atta boy. We’re going to tear this sh*t up, man. 4C motha f*cka’s…”

Sayeed, again, laughs in an excited manner. Just as any professional general manager would after drafting an athlete with drastic upside. With that said, did I see myself as such an ‘athlete’ in a way? No. With that said, have I ever felt that way? Again, No. So, at this point, it’s best to focus my mind as much as possible & see this development to it’s end.

Seated on that very same dusty-back road, I nestle in for the night; Sleeping rather lightly from the driver’s seat of my newly acquired ‘92 Plymouth Sundance. While not desirable by any means, I was a newcomer to this area. So, with that said, You make do with what you have. Right? Plus, there was a busy day ahead of me tomorrow as I attempt to analyze the chicken-scratch scribbled down on the crumpled napkin seated next to me in the passenger seat. With limited knowledge at hand, I was locked in a small battle of external-evaluation; compiling a better sense of knowledge as it pertains to the 4C roster as a whole.

Good stuff so far, E-V and I cannot wait until I am able to post my first "blog"!:D

Thanks, Critical23!

I'm looking forward to your initial 'blog' as well. :D It really brought something unique to my DOA project, so, it'd be great to see something in the same light while working 'up nort'. ;)

--> To All readers of this diary, This last conversation between Greed and Ali marks the 'final' backstory post from the perspective of it being solely about John Greed. The next post, a full roster overview of 4C, will take a few days to construct; however, will give a better idea of how I plan to book each character exclusively. In that post you'll find:

* Each Character's 2010 win/loss record within 4C. (The game started in May of 2010 so it'll be a win/loss record over a 4 month time frame; the new 4C project starts in September of 2010).

* Their highest 4C Match Grade during that time period.

* Their average 4C Match Grade during that period.

* A quick, one-sentence, character synopsis.

* And, John Greed's perspective of said competitor as a whole.

Overall, as you can see, It's going to take a little bit as previous said. However, I believe it'll be a great tool for all involved to have before them. Like always, as well, it will be wrapped within the backstory as John uses the crumpled napkin, given to him by Troy Winner, to better educate himself about the members of 4C.

Either way, as it may take a few days to develop, it'd be great to hear any comments/feedback/concerns that you may have regarding the project! The backstory was lengthy; however, it was needed in which to tell the story as to how John got here. Also, laying the groundwork for what you can expect the whole '4C experience' to be all about.

Cheers.

Love a good backstory so no problems there. And would be interesting to see your thoughts on the 4c roster.

Thank you, Hyde! I know that some are fans of the fleshed out backstory where others are not. Either way, this project needed that long backstory in which to explain why John would come back to Pro Wrestling after all of this, why he would leave the US and go to Canada (a wrestling community he knows nothing about), and why he would go back to the 'small-time' company versus what the DOA was all about. So, it took some time to best convey those messages in my writing. Plus, I tried to really go all out with the backstory instead of just giving highlights. That way, It felt more like a literary piece of work versus a 'going through the motions' kind of thing. I'm glad you liked it though! :D

As for the 4C roster overview, I'm trucking along pretty well. I'm guessing it's still going to be a bit before they are up though as I have a few busy days ahead of me. With that said, it's development is even helping me as a writer as I'm forced to really sit down and develop a character for each and every wrestler; this will help me better book them going forward. Plus, for those of you who enjoy reading this diary thus far, It will give you a better idea of what to expect initially from the characters within this diary.

OOC:
While still crafting the 4C roster review, I've decided to lay out the 4C, in it's current form, to everyone reading. This way, you know exactly where the company is coming from as this diary doesn't start on January 2010 (as it's the continuation to my DOA diary).

* Thank you, KAM!

The 4C Manifesto
:

The 4C will excel to deliver a true ‘alternative’ product; as it pertains to the ‘mainstream focused’ CGC and NOTBPW. Said ‘alternative product’ will rely heavily upon high-risk, high-paced, dare-devil antics that further perpetuate an overall defiant nature to the industry as a whole. While said product may come with a sense of danger, potentially putting many of it’s competitors in harms way, it is understood by all involved that their time in 4C shall be marked with gravity-defying, logically-stupid, instances; ultimately with the goal of preserving the ‘rebellious’ nature that the 4C continues to display after 16 years of existence. A secondary goal is to continue to supply a haven for the youth of the Pro Wrestling industry; ultimately making it possible for their journey’s to start in a more chaotic, however, legendary, fashion.

Changes Made to the Product:
Mainstream is dropped from ‘medium’ to ‘low’, Match Ratio is dropped from 90% to 80%, and T&A levels are moved from ‘none’ to ‘medium’.

Why the changes were made:
The match ratio was bumped down from 90% to 80% for the sheer fact that I would like to utilize angles a little more in your typical 4C show. Not in an SE kind of way (pushing 70% or even 60% like CGC), but, to at least give me the option to tell stories both within, and out, of the ring. Also, I’ve bumped down ‘Mainstream’ from medium to low in which to better portray 4C as a true alternative to the much more mainstream CGC and NOTBPW. I didn’t touch any other product settings except for that; however, in doing so, it makes popularity and true talent just as important; something I see as indicative of the 4C mantra. Finally, I bumped up T&A from none to medium. The change simply allows for common sense as pretty girls can get over for being pretty (and wearing next to nothing); however, they still need to have some sense of talent in which to succeed. This is a stark contrast to the DOA as most of my females were able to get over solely with looks.

What 4C’s product means
:

… will mean wrestlers are rated equally on performance and popularity.

… will mean that fans will expect all wrestlers to be packaged with a proper gimmick.

… will attract fans who will not respond well to one-dimensional gimmicks.

… will attract fans who expect gimmicks to be subtle and complex.

… will attract fans who respond well to high-risk matches.

… will prevent 4C from getting Afternoon TV time slots on some networks.

… will prevent 4C from getting Early Evening TV time slots on some networks.

… will prevent 4C from getting TV slots on Mainstream networks.

… will make getting sponsorship money extremely tough.

… will mean that the ‘young lion’ system will not be taken into account at any time.

The last scenario, while ingenious on my part, was starting to carry an uncomfortable tone as the shop’s staff begins to realize how long I’ve been there; possibly writing me off as a ‘homeless man’ desperately trying to find a clean haven for the day. </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> All in all, with my trusty dial up connection, I attempt to review the entire 4C roster through the usage of a popular video search engine. With that being said, he carries a strong sense of consistency from one show to the next; a man you can really trust as it pertains to bringing his best each and every time he steps through the curtain. Outside of that, He’s more of a stiff, slightly fiery, ‘work-horse’ who has made a career out of getting the very best out of his limited abilities. When you fuse that with the fact that, the lovely, Joy DeWitt is now positioned at his side, Antonio is certainly seen as a unique commodity to 4C. </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> The Canadian Crusher is the perfect monster heel from a realistic perspective. As a former bodybuilder, His masterful strength has the great potential to tell the story of a ‘counter-superstar within the ranks’. He stands much larger than the typical 4C superstar, so, it’s easy to perpetuate the narrative of “David and Goliath” with whoever he matches up with; speed vs. strength. With this in mind; however, he’s still very, very, green from an in-ring perspective. So, at this point, he may be best served as a personality/in-ring competitor fusion; working matches when need be; however, playing the role of the dreaded bodyguard in most cases. Either way, He’s certainly a unique figure as he towers above the much-smaller, much less menacing, 4C roster. </span></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="27816" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy212/Greed4C/Wrestlers/ChrisFlynn_alt.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Chris Flynn</strong></span></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>4C 2010 Win/Loss Record (as of May):</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> 2-2</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Popularity in Quebec & Ontario:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> F+</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Highest Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Average Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> E+</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Quick Character Synopsis:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> A natural sense of youthful defiance meets rebel without a true cause.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Character Buzz Words:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Arrogant, Naturally Gifted Athlete, Stubborn, Charismatic.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Face/Heel Disposition:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Heel</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Greed’s Perspective:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> From what I’ve gathered, Chris Flynn is heralded as the first ‘home-grown’ talent 4C has ever constructed. With that said, I truly think they’ve been dropping the ball with him thus far. Sure, he’s pretty ‘green’ by this point; however, where’s the arrogance that comes with such a status as: The first ever home-grown talent? To me, a unique scenario like this calls for the youngster to have an overly bloated ego; feeling he’s been dubbed as ‘the chosen one’ if you will. The ‘rightful heir’ to the 4C throne. Either way, He has the charisma to carry himself through a string of decent matches due to his limited in-ring abilities. Also, he would make a perfect pairing with Davis Wayne Newton to be honest; two youngsters looking to ‘take over the industry’. All in all, He has the looks, and the charisma, to make it big in this industry. Now, I just need to find a way to deter our rabid fans away from the glaring fact that he’s nowhere near perfection within the ring. How will I do this? Shove his ego down all of their throats. Get the average 4C fan to literally HATE this guy and they may look past his limited abilities as a Pro Wrestler. Instead, focusing on their unadulterated hatred for him instead.</span></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="27816" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy212/Greed4C/Wrestlers/DavisWayneNewton.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-family:Calibri;">Davis Wayne Newton</span></strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>4C 2010 Win/Loss Record (as of May):</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> 1-3</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Popularity in Quebec & Ontario:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> E+</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Highest Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> C</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Average Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> C-</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Quick Character Synopsis:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Alexander the Great’s obsession with conquering meets justified; however, arrogant, youthful confidence.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Character Buzz Words:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Egomaniac, Conqueror, Ignorant, Self-obsessed, Subtly Patriotic, Peerlessly Athletic, Excessively Talented.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Face/Heel Disposition:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Heel</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Greed’s Perspective:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Davis Wayne Netwon has the ability to become a once-in-a-lifetime talent. Needless to say, He’s a ‘hot commodity’ that I can only hope to hold onto during my tenure with 4C. I’ve decided to transform the youngster into a “Conquering Self-Hero”; A man who believes that he is destined to become the greatest wrestler in Canadian history & is willing to do ANYTHING to accomplish this dream. Anything at all. With that said, His persona melds perfectly with the actual reality that DWN could possibly achieve that very status-level by the end of his career. He’s simply gifted; a beacon of pro wrestling superstardom. Now, my job is to make sure he gets there. Well, in reality, my job is to make sure that the beginning of his path starts here in 4C; only for one of the “Big Two” (CGC and NOTBPW) to swoop in and claim DWN as their own. He’s the first ever man to complete the 4C “Triple Crown”; and for that plus much more, he’s widely seen to be the cornerstone of the company. With great success; however, comes with great pressure. Now, over a year since his last title reign, 4C fans are looking to Duberry to overthrow the likes of Frank Dee, Davis Wayne Newton, and the 187. In a sense, they trust in him to conquer the ‘evils’ of the 4C; something that may as well be humanly impossible for one man to accomplish. With that said, Duberry Excess finds himself at a hellacious crossroads; struggling with the pressure, doing his best; however, in need of something ‘else’ to get the job done. What is that? Only he knows. Something HE fears. From an in-ring perspective, Duberry is quite the veteran at the young age of 24. While I would like to see more out of him psychologically within the ring, He’s proven to be a strong fixture of the 4C with his: above average athleticism, high consistency from one show to the next, his seamless chain wrestling abilities, and the basic understanding of what it takes to deliver a decent promo. However, looking over his body of work, I’m not too sold on this happening.</span></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="27816" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy212/Greed4C/Wrestlers/FrankieDee.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-family:Calibri;">Frankie Dee</span></strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>4C 2010 Win/Loss Record (as of May):</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> 4-0</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Popularity in Quebec & Ontario:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D-</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Highest Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D+</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Average Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Quick Character Synopsis:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Silent & seemingly Calm; however, extremely deadly.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Character Buzz Words:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Calm, Silent, Disciplined, Rooted in Honor, Trained Warrior, Human Weapon, Hypocritical, Lusting for Violence.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Face/Heel Disposition:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Heel</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Greed’s Perspective:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> “The White Angel” is something of a ‘wet-dream’ for me creatively. In it’s most basic form, the unique persona that Frankie Dee has been able to cultivate opens many potential windows as to how to portray said character. In my perspective, He’s best projected as an honorable, trained, warrior with a lust for situational violence. In a sense, He’s a ‘deadly fighter’ and he knows it. So, the 4C is simply seen, by Dee, as a playground; a place to embark upon the violent journey of a masterful fighter. In the end, when you factor in the truly awe-inspiring physical look of his craft, Frankie Dee easily stands out as a transcendtory figure. From an in-ring perspective, Dee is an average fighter with a unique skill-set: Tough-minded, somewhat flashy, above average athleticism, and a Puroresu kind of approach to in-ring combat (Stiff Strikes coupled with a strong understanding of submission-wrestling). All in all, when factoring in his persona with the realistic knowledge of his in-ring abilities, “The White Angel” Frankie Dee will continue to see a hefty push as we forge through 2010.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div versus his actual in-ring abilities. To say the least, He wrestles in a rather bland fashion; however, has acquired a moderate level of veteran understanding within the ropes (C in Psychology) and a masterful approach to making others look great (A in Selling). Then again, If we were looking solely at his output professionally as a competitor then I would say he was quite dispensable; however, we are not, and, it’s his controversial, Thug-Life, persona that keeps him heavily afloat in my mind. At this point, I’m not really sure where ‘Killah’ will reside on the 4C hierarchy; however, one thing I do know for sure is that he, and his 187 brethren, will always be instigators of violence and chaos; marking them as personal favorites throughout.</span></div></div></div></blockquote><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="27816" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy212/Greed4C/Wrestlers/JacobJett.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-family:Calibri;">Jacob Jett</span></strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>4C 2010 Win/Loss Record (as of May):</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> 3-1</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Popularity in Quebec & Ontario:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D+</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Highest Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> C</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Average Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> C-</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Quick Character Synopsis:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> A death-defying daredevil in both action and personality.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Character Buzz Words:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Amazing, Thrill seeker, Death-Defying, Fearless, Egocentric, Flashy, Charismatic, Adrenaline-Junkie, “Bad Boy”.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Face/Heel Disposition:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Face</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Greed’s Perspective:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Jacob is exactly as advertised: Amazing. The shocking thing is, after all of that being said, Jay’s developed a reputation for being remarkably consistent as it pertains to defying gravity; even all natural logic at some points. When it’s all said and done, He’s arguably the most popular figure on the 4C roster (and for good reason). With that said, There are rumors starting to circulate that the youngster isn’t really excited to see me showing up on ‘his turf’ after my falling out with the DOA. Honestly. Jason Thunder, much like his brother, will be played with this corny, semi-embarrassing, caricature of a young, flashy, tag-team. In a way, they will feel awfully comical in their interactions with others as they ‘play their roles’ as over-the-top, overly dramatic, ‘cool guys’ looking for a fight. I hope you’re foaming from the mouth as much as I am about this one. As it pertains, though, to in-ring ability; Jason isn’t much to sneeze at. His strongest points are his sub-par mat, and chain, wrestling abilities; however, outside of that, he’s just another youngster with a dream. With that being said, I’m hoping that his new gimmick will help him resonate with the 4C fan base; touching on their desire to also laugh at a typical event of ours.</span></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="27816" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy212/Greed4C/Wrestlers/JesseGilbert.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-family:Calibri;">Jesse Gilbert</span></strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>4C 2010 Win/Loss Record (as of May):</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> 2-2</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Popularity in Quebec & Ontario:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> E</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Highest Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D-</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Average Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D-</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Quick Character Synopsis:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> The ‘Bash Brothers’ (Disney: The Mighty Ducks) meets loveable dummies.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Character Buzz Words:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Intense, Lovably Dumb, Larger than Life, Hockey Fanatic, Comical.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Face/Heel Disposition:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Face</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Greed’s Perspective:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> I’ve heard of these two; however, never really understood their true worth until reviewing their laundry-list of matches all over North America. An act rooted in their comical obsession with hockey, The Gilbert Brothers are a great ‘change-of-pace’ act for the 4C. Where as a chunk of our roster is heavily focused on intense violence for the sake of a bloody revolt, These two are simply looking for a ‘good fight’; hockey enforcer style. Needless to say, fusing this with the fact that they are the current 4C Tag Champions, I foresee a long, steady, push for the beloved canucks. With that said, Jesse’s in-ring abilities are teetering between sub-par and quite average. He’s a decent high flier, with a strong sense of consistency, and general wrestling knowledge; however, there’s no lie that his in-ring persona is the reason why he’s still working in the industry. Either way, I expect the Gilberts to do pretty well during my tenure with 4C.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span the physical personification of a typical 20 year old arrogant player. In a sense, He’s the guy that women tend to drift toward and men look to befriend. His ’center-of-attention’, ’party all the time’, mentality has scored quite well with the typical 4C fan; ultimately forcing the company to keep him as a face despite carrying an arrogant heel persona. Never the less, much like Jacob Jett, he plays that ’bad boy’ persona to the fullest as the 4C fans look to him as a potential ’up-and-comer’; if not that, at least, a fun guy to watch within the ring. With that being said, his in-ring skills are decent at best. Not saying that he’s worthless; however, knowing that he isn’t going to ‘hit one out of the park’ with every match. His best two assets have to be his average star quality along with his undeniable sense of charm. When you fuse that with his ‘risk-taking’ approach to wrestling, Leftie Wilkes is potentially destined for greatness within the 4C fold.</span></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Morgan is a youngster with a lot of promise; it’s as simple as that. With a little more extensive training, and some general ‘hands-on learning’, he could eventually become a major player for 4C. With that said; however, at this given moment he is far too ‘green’ to really do any good. So, it becomes my goal to see to it that Morgan finds a way to succeed. How do I plan on doing so? Giving him a pretty generic gimmick straight out of the gate so, with time, he can grow into his own persona. It’s one of the oldest tricks in the book, Slap a youngster with the wide-eyed, ‘deer in headlights’, gimmick and eventually the fans will come to love him. If not for his promise, for his drive to become better. In the end, it gives you the ability to either A) turn him heel in a dastardly way; turning the entire fan base against him or B) slowly mold into his own, unique, persona; giving him time to generate that sense of ‘who he wants to be’. All in all, at this point, It’s best to portray him as a young nobody with a lot of heart, drive, and dedication. Hopefully that will hide his obvious flaws, and overall sub-par, abilities within the ring.</span></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="27816" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy212/Greed4C/Wrestlers/NathanielCaino.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-family:Calibri;">Nathaniel Ca$ino</span></strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>4C 2010 Win/Loss Record (as of May):</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> 0-3</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Popularity in Quebec & Ontario:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> F</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Highest Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> E</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Average Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> E</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Quick Character Synopsis:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> A compulsive, high-stakes, risk-taker.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Character Buzz Words:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Compulsive Gambler, Impulsive, Manipulative, Addictive Personality, Sly, Weasel, Untrustworthy, Shark, Meddler, Arrogant, Sophisticated dress.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Face/Heel Disposition:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Heel</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Greed’s Perspective:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Nathaniel Ca$ino is one of my dream characters to write for; honestly. In my mind, He’s quite cunning but not in the ‘over-the-top’ demeanor that most would expect. Instead, he’s best played as a realistic addict; a man who is always ‘game’ for a good bet. In a way, in this form, he takes on more of a ‘dark persona’ as he’s more of a compulsive, impulsive, Weasel of a man who looks to capitalize on the weaknesses of others through convoluted bets that often end up one-sided in his favor. To say the least, He may, single-handedly, become the greatest figure I’ve ever created in my short time ’behind the curtain’. As it pertains to within the ring, Nathaniel is serviceable enough to lure others in with his persona & then keep the narrative going within the ring. The biggest mountain to climb with him; however, is the ability to raise his overall popularity with the masses. Why? His explicit, borderline unsettling, lyrics continually challenge what is seen as ‘acceptable’ by most Canadian wrestling fans. Needless to say, Raj has developed quite the mystique since joining 4C in 2009. The crazy thing is, unlike other ‘larger-than-life’ characters in 4C, Raj can actually put together a pretty convincing match-up. He smells, looks, and feels like someone who came from one of the “Canadian Powerhouses” down to the underground lair of the forgotten; 4C. For that, his character reeks of a realistic grit that can’t be formulated without a dose of reality. All in all, Raj will certainly stand as a major player in 4C for a good while as he continues to feverishly rile up Canadian crowds with his aggressive rants.</span></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="27816" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy212/Greed4C/Wrestlers/SayeedAli.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-family:Calibri;">Sayeed Ali</span></strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>4C 2010 Win/Loss Record (as of May):</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> 2-2</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Popularity in Quebec & Ontario:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Highest Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> C</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Average Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> C-</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Quick Character Synopsis:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> A hardened, career, Street Fighter.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Character Buzz Words:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Intense, Violent, Aggressor, Emotionless, Cold, Ultra Stiff, Menacing, Furious, Reactionary, Brutal.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Face/Heel Disposition:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Heel</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Greed’s Perspective:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Sayeed Ali, outside of being the man who practically brought me to 4C, is one of the most dominating figures in 4C history. While you can’t expect a flashy, high-paced, match from the youthful veteran, you will almost always be treated to a level of violence never seen before. Sayeed is simply that: A violent, hardened, Aggressor with thoughts of brutality permeating out of his body in waves. Outside of his persona, menacing as it is, Sayeed is, arguably, one of the more talented competitors in his craft on the roster. His fusion of realistic brawling, puro strikes, and an all-around, ultra violent, hardcore approach makes Sayeed a valuable commodity to the 4C. Either way, He’ll be a great fighter to throw into the ‘hardcore mix’ of the 4C roster going forward.</span></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="27816" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy212/Greed4C/Wrestlers/TJBailey.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-family:Calibri;">TJ Bailey</span></strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>4C 2010 Win/Loss Record (as of May):</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> 0-4</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Popularity in Quebec & Ontario:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> E-</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Highest Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D+</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Average Match Grade:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> D</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Quick Character Synopsis:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> A quintessential surfer dude; unaware of the fact that he lives in Canada.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Character Buzz Words:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Air-head, “Dude”, Beach-boy, Oblivious, Comical.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Face/Heel Disposition:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Face</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><strong>Greed’s Perspective:</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> TJ is, arguably, the most underrated competitor on the 4C roster. The most surprising thing about 4C in 2010? Put The Gilbert Brothers in a match against Thunder & Lighting and prepare to be shocked. Also Thug Life are highly under-rated by most C-Verse players in my opinion. They know how to get the job done. Slim V is only 21 yo, he's going to be kicking ass and taking names in years to come. And there's no better guy at Killah's level for making guys look good and teaching them a thing or million about the business.

Nice alt for Chris Flynn. Everyone has their favorite pet projects and he's one of mine.

Yea, I found the alt within the old 2008 alt thread. Overall, I totally see why Flynn would be a favorite 'pet project' for some. After looking over the roster, I'm thinking he'll end up doing pretty well with time. Especially since I'm working on a tandem for him as we speak; one that will bode well for him.

Funny enough, I have the two set to face off against eachother this month at "Demolition Derby" on the first draft of the card. With the Main Event being a crazy scenario, It forces me to put together a few other strong undercard match-ups. That said, you may end up seeing this match-up pretty early on in the diary.

They are definately an under-rated tandem in the Cornellverse, Celt. That said, and without giving too much away, there will be much turmoil within the "187" trio pretty early on.

I can't wait to see what you do with Frankie Dee, he seems to be a worker that is right up you writing alley (does that even make sense?).

Totally makes sense, BHK. The same thought came to mind as I sat down to review his character (or at least what I perceive his character to be). He has this real mystique about him; very mysterious in a way. Plus, when you factor in his in-ring abilities, Frankie really stands above the rest in a lot of ways. He's the champ certainly for a reason & I intend on giving him his due as long as he's on the 4C roster. With that said, does this mean he'll be the Champ forever? As you know, I'm a big fan of keeping the belt on one man for quite some time in which to have others 'prove their worth' before picking up the title; however, I guess you never really know. Will he be my "Acid"? Yes and no. Silence binds them together; however, their characters will be far different from one another. Also, they both can be seen as 'cornerstones' of their respective companies. So, in a way, they do have some strong similarities.

Overall, He is one of the driving forces for why I have fallen in love with 4C!

(Side Note, I'm not even sure that my attempt at a response makes much sense. ha. I'm about to head to bed, so, I'm guessing my mind is slipping a little. Either way, Glad to know that I have some consistent feedback'ers already! Cheers & Goodnight from Minnesota.)

Loved the writeup for the roster. I've never really followed your stuff but I am excited to be on here from the ground floor.

Also, where you at in Minneapolis?

Good to see you taking a look, MaxxHexx! I've seen you on the boards; so, it's nice to see that this project pulled you in. Hopefully, going forward, I'll hear from you here and there as well.

As for Minnie, I just moved to the border of St. Paul and Minneapolis on University Avenue. Perfect location as I'm about a 10 minute drive from downtown Minneapolis and about 15 minutes out of downtown St. Paul. Overall, great location. You live in MN?

I'm a student at the University of Saint Thomas so I live on the corner of Selby and Cleveland in Saint Paul between Grand/Summit and Marshall, aka University is my neck of the woods though by birth I am from Rosemount. I agree it is a wonderful area to be in.

You ever hit up one of the F1RST shows in the area?

Yea, we're actually pretty close as I'm on University and Carleton in the Carleton Artist Lofts. I've been over around St. Thomas quite a bit over the last few years, so, I def. know that area. Can't say that I know about this F1ST thing though? Maybe private message me about it.

As for the diary, The first card will be posted early this week w/ a "Owner Goals" post coming before that. Either way, things are going to move forward from the 'backstory' to now the 'meat' of the project. :D

Damn a lot to read but definately worth it, keep up the great work! Can't wait for the first show.

Thank you from one 'Soatan to another.

I totally understand that the 'backstory' may be a little too much for some to want to forge through; however, it felt much needed in the sense of describing why, and how, John ended up in Canada. More or less, my projects tend to be just as much about the main character (John Greed) as the in-ring action/Storylines/Actual Events. So, if you're a fan of well-thought out, darker, entertainment wrapped within the story of a struggling, addictive, personality.... Then... This project is for you. ;)

Funny thing is I hardly ever read backstory but I always make a point to read the ones that you do. Because through three diaries I have become involved in the story of John Greed and I want to know what happens to him.

I awoke in a rather startling manner; the heavy cloak of eye-twitching light burrowing it’s way through my retina like a scavenger searching for nourishment. Meanwhile, a physically imposing figure slowly shuffles rather heavily toward a brown, window-less, van positioned facing mine. With every step, You can almost practically envision the sheer pain formulating upon the mysterious figure’s face; an obvious knee injury showing itself to be the ultimate culprit of such degeneration.

My eyes continue to wage an epic, one-sided, battle with the blinding power of the morning Sun’s rays as the sound of a chugging engine bounces off of the brick alley-way walls that I proclaimed as my ‘haven’ over night. With time, my sight returns; however, it’s too late. The unknown man, greasy in his physical appearance, has now vanished; leaving me alone to my thoughts as my morning starts rather earlier than most. Gripping to my semi-state of consciousness as my heart slowly decelerates from the frightening wake-up-call that is an absolute stranger standing near your four-door home; unaware of the reasoning for such a visit.

I dig at my eyes with the back of my hands; slowly twisting my gesture around as I continue to embrace my new-found wakefulness by removing the ‘sleepies’ located at the corner of my eyes. While I’ve never been much of a morning person in general, such a startling start to the day has quickly forced my mind toward a state of complete, hazed, focus. Violently ripped from my dreams of Mrs. Sophia as I subconsciously rehash an underlying lust for the young assistant to Tarver.

Then… I notice a small, neatly, folded object pinned to my windshield; forced there by the out-of-date wipers that occasionally attempt to restore a sense of order to the process of driving.

Like any confused, glutton-for-punishment, I slowly crack open my driver’s side door; opening it just enough to reach my weathered left hand outward, making contact with said piece of paper.

With a swift return, I pull my left hand back into the car; quickly unraveling the mystery that is this supposed note.

Flipping…

Unfolding…

Accidentally Tearing…

The letter left by the mysterious, greasy, staggering man is now completely open within my grasp.

What the F*ck is this?

My mind races at all possible outcomes, finally arriving upon the understanding that said note HAS to be from Troy Winner; my new boss. How do I know? The somewhat unsettling scribble of a ‘mad-man’ attempts to lay out the rules bestowed upon me; an owner’s edict, if you will. In most cases, such information would be great to utilize as a tool of maintaining a proper standing with your employer. However, in this case, I was forced down an insane ‘rabbit whole’; attempting to unravel the psychosis that lay before me.
