The show opens with Sonny Onoo approaching Eric Bischoff backstage. He says Bischoff clearly wanted his attention by having his goons interfere in key matches on Thunder during the last two weeks, and he succeeded to get it. Onoo demands to know what Bischoff wants. Bischoff says that he wants all titles back to USA, back to Nitro. He succeeded to get the WCW Cruiserweight Championship back and he won't stop untill the WCW United States Championship is off the waist of Atsushi Onita and back with a wrestler not working for Onoo. Onoo says that this is a good opportunity to finally prove to the American fans that the wrestlers who are trained in the much higher levels of skill and intensity in Japan are indeed better than the crap produced here in America, and so he challenges Bischoff to a deciding 4 on 4 match on next Thunder where his selected team with defeat Bischoff's Horsemen cronies. And if Team Thunder wins, they not only get to keep the US title as a Thunder exclusive title - they also get the Cruiserweight title back. Bischoff accepts, but if Team Nitro wins... Thunder will be no more! Onoo hesitates for a moment, but is confident that his side will win and agrees to the terms!

He wants to give the crowd the most exciting and jaw-dropping match as possible, and has reviewed the entire WCW roster... would the crowd like to see Randy Savage challenge him? Nah, he's too boring for them... how about the Giant? No, that big and clumsy twart can't possibly be interesting for anyone to see in the ring... Sting? No way, he's definately no challenge for Flair - which he has proven again and again. Lex Luger? No one could possibly see that doofus as a viable challenger to Flair... but who then? Well, after a lot of thinking, Flair has found the perfect challenger earlier tonight... Rey Mysterio! Sonny Onoo is saying that this is the most important Thunder in it's short-lived existance so far. If they win the main event, they will get full rights to the WCW United States Championship as well as the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. However, if Team Thunder loses... Thunder will be cancelled and all workers under contract with Onoo will be at Bischoff's mercy. It's a gamble, but Onoo has great faith in his team for tonight; Atsushi Onita, Bam Bam Bigelow, Scott Norton and Jushin Liger. 2 members of the team are Americans, but all 4 are trained in Japanese wrestling and has lots of experience fighting here. He's sure they're the right choices. And as payment for doing their best and working as a team tonight, Onoo has arranged for Bigelow and Norton to face Onita in a triple threat match at Souled Out for the US title. And Liger will become #1 contender for the Cruiserweight title as soon as it comes back to Thunder. Tonight, we make history!

4 vs. 4 Elimination match:

Team Nitro (The Four Horsemen) vs. Team Thunder (Onita, Bigelow, Norton and Liger)

In a match with great action, it looked like a quick victory for Thunder when Austin, Pillman and Anderson were the first 3 participants to be eliminated, in that order. Flair fought back, however, with the help from cheating and his eliminated Horsemen - and managed to eliminate Bigelow, Liger and Norton. With only Flair and Onita left, and the remaining members of each team keeping each other occupied at ringside, it looked like it would end with a fair 1 on 1. But Bischoff clearly wanted it otherwise, as he suddenly appeared from the crowd and threw a set of brass knuckles to Flair, who used them on Onita and got the pinfall.

Winners: Team Nitro

Match length: 16:38

Rating: C+

After the match, Onita cut a promo on Flair, saying that this is NOT over yet... he will get his revenge for this. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not this month... but he'll get it eventually. He'll wait for the right moment to strike. And Bischoff should watch his back as well. It's a shame that Thunder will now cease to exist, but at least they got the chance to give the American audience something different while it lasted.

Eric Bischoff is in the ring, ready to make an announcement. He says that he has two things to address tonight: First of all, they are without tag team champions after Sting decided to vacate him and Luger's titles at last Monday Nitro. Therefore, starting next monday, a tournament will start to determine the new champions. This tournament will have 16 teams in total, and the spots in it are first come first serve. Now onto tonight's action... as we all know, the Japanese adventure with Thunder has ended. And as a result, there are a bunch of workers with nothing to do. But Bischoff is a fair man, he will give them all a chance to prove themselves - before firing those who fail to do so. Atsushi Onita is the WCW United States Champion, and his job is therefore safe. But as for the rest of the Japanese wrestlers, as well as the two American traitors participating in last week's 4 against 4 match, they will all be in action tonight - and those who get pinned, tap out, get DQ'ed, is counted out - or in short, lose - will all get fired!

I f'n love this diary! I just spent like over 2 hours reading this! Well I was taking care of my child as well but I read every post. I'm really like this. This is my favorite diary. I've been looking for something to get into over the past few days and I have finally found one. Keep up the good work.

Yay I have a reader! :D

Thanks for the kind words. :)

My creative plans are being hampered a bit at the moment due to currently only have one show, but I hope to get a new B-show again soon so more of my workers can be utilised.

Interesting, this Diary is.

The Thunder concept was quite unique. I might have to try something like that for my own games. I'm liking the booking so far, though I'm more of a '98/'00 guy when it comes to WCW.

Yeah the Thunder concept was definately interesting, but I introduced it too soon. I should have waited and focused on improving Nitro first, as well as made sure to have more workers who were over in Japan. But eh, it was fun to try. :)
