Bischoff refuses on the grounds that Knobbs and Sags are still banned from competing on Nitro. Sting enters the ring before a tag team match involving The Ravishing Males and starts talking about Rick Rude, who has now cost him two important matches against Ric Flair and attacked him both physically and verbally many times since re-appearing in WCW several months ago. Well Sting is sick and tired of this! He has tried to make amends for accidentally badly injuring Rude in a match long time ago, but Rude refuses to hear reason and bury the hatchet. Well there's only one option left then: to step back into the ring in a final match to once and for all decide their feud! Rick Rude then appears, flanked by The Ravishing Males, and says that Sting won't get off the hook that easily... he has caused too much pain and suffering for that. If Sting wants to settle this conflict, he will have to put on the line what he took from Rude in 1994: his carreer in WCW! Sting hesitates for a bit but then accepts; if Rude wins, Sting will leave WCW - but if Sting wins, Rude will leave Sting alone and let bygones be gygones. Rude smiles and confirms the match stipulations and allows Sting to leave the ring unharmed.

Savage says that if DDP wants a fight, he's got one! DDP does not look happy and says that he'll gladly teach Savage a lesson, but not now - as he's mentally unprepared. He'll fight Savage at Uncensored instead. Savage says that he'll be happy to fight DDP at Uncensored, but that this match tonight is still happening as well!

He says that Guerrero is the true champion and would still have held the belt if not for the dispicable actions by The Four Horsemen. But as much as he understands Guerrero's eager to re-take the belt, he urges him to let it go for the time being and instead assist Santana in conquering the tag team belts from Jericho and The Giant. Santana says he believes him and Guerrero works very well together and has the opportunity to achieve great stuff in WCW, and that they should focus all their energy on making that happen. Guerrero thinks about it for a bit and agrees that they are a great team, and promises Jericho and The Giant that they'll make sure they get a short reign as champions!

Atsushi Onita is in the ring with a microphone, telling the audience that he's sorry; when he first came to WCW he was arrogant and believed that American wrestling was inferior to Japanese wrestling. But since then he has fought several honourable and skilled opponents that proved him otherwise, latest shown last monday when Lex Luger won the WCW United States Championship fair and cleanly. However... he has also encountered some dishonest and dispicable people who does nothing but use dishonourable tactics, the worst of which is... Ric Flair. WCW is a great company with great fans that deserves a much better champion than him, and Onita will therefore give them exactly that. Ric Flair's intro then hits and he walks down the ramp together with his fellow Horsemen. He laughs at Onita and says that this incarnation of The Four Horsemen is the most unstopable force the WCW has ever seen, and that he's a fool if he thinks he can take anything from Ric Flair. But he's welcome to try at Uncensored, if he's got nothing better to do than collect bruises and humiliating defeats! Woo! Wooooo!

DDP says that at CoTC, we will indeed be seeing two champions clash; one former heavyweight champion will be defeated by the next heavyweight champion...

He proclaims that he's stronger, more fit and better looking than ever before, and that noone can take the belt from him; not "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who's nothing without that dumbass Hogan, not Atsushi Onita, who's such a poor wrestler that noone in Japan wanted to hire him, not Lex Luger, who's nothing but an untalented bodybuilder, not Dusty Rhodes, who's been chasing him in vain his entire carreer... he's then interrupted by none other than... Terry Funk! Funk doesn't like Flair's tone and that he's here to set Flair straight. He admits that Flair is a skilled wrestler and that he has never been able to beat Flair, neither in a singles match nor tag team match... but that's all about to change tonight, as he'll do what he has tried before but always failed to achieve: take a world title from Flair! Randy Savage approaches Eric Bischoff, asking him for a final shot at Ric Flair's WCW World Heavyweight Championship tonight - a match with no outside interference, just him and Flair mano e mano. Bischoff agrees and says that he'll put the two in a classic cage match tonight! And the title will change hands by DQ, to discourage The Four Horsemen from trying to interfer in the match... Bischoff will tell the ref to keep an extra eye on possible interference, because once the bell rings it will be just Savage vs. Flair for the title!

DDP is cutting a promo on Ron Simmons, whom he defeated last night at Slamboree for the right to retain Diamond Doll as a valet. He is alone tonight, though, and explains that he already before the match started had decided that he didn't need her anymore, and only faced Simmons to prove he was the better man. If Diamond Doll finds that doofus so fascinating, well good riddance! DDP says he has become too big for her anyway, and that he will achieve big things without her.

Rating: C

Steve Austin walks by and laughs at DDP, stating that the audience can't hardly be interested in listening to someone as irrelevant as DDP. He should rather step aside and let the people look at a real superstar, the coming WCW United States Champion after his rematch against Lex Luger tonight. DDP tells Austin to watch his tongue and says that his Stunner is nothing but a watered down variant of DDP's own Diamond Cutter, and a heated argument ensues. Bischoff intervenes and says that the planned Austin vs. Luger match tonight for the US title will now be a 3-way also involving DDP!

The ref saw this and awarded The Road Warriors the win by DQ. A furious Giant, who had been looking dangerous throughout the match and was fending off Guerrero, Santana and Hawk, then Chokeslammed both Gordy and even Jericho, who was yelling at Gordy himself, before leaving.

Winners: The Road Warriors

Rick Rude and The Ravishing Males are in the ring, complaining about Bischoff and security doing nothing to protect them against the masked man, whom they are certain is Sting. Twice has he attacked Bagwell and Riggs in crucial matches while technically not even being under contract in WCW, and Bischoff ought to call the police! The lights then go out for about 30 seconds and when it comes back on, all 3 men are laid out... and the mysterious masked man is standing in the middle of the ring with a chair! Is it really Sting...?

Luger says that his recent run as US champion and him nearly winning against Ric Flair at Clash of The Champions makes him the ideal choice - while The Giant claims that his latest run as tag team champion, which he claims was all his work, added the fact that noone has yet to pin him cleanly makes him the ideal challenger. Rick Rude is in the ring, calling out Sting - whom he believes to be the mysterious masked man who has attacked The Ravishing Males lately. He says he's sure he's in the building, and waits for him to come out. Surely enough, the masked man comes to the ring through the crowd. Rude says that he's tired of these attacks and that they are unnecesary hindrance for his clients to reach their potentials and regain the tag team belts. Therefore, he wants to make a deal with the masked man; if he beats The Ravising Males in a handicap match at The Great American Bash, Sting will get reinstated in WCW... but if he loses, he wants the masked man's word not to ever appear in WCW again. The masked man nods and offers Rude a handshake to seal the deal. Rude hesitates but then agrees to shake his hand, after which Ther Ravishing Males, who had been hiding under the ring, sneaks in and attacks the masked man, beating him down together with Rude. The three of them try to unmask him, but he somehow manages to escape...
