Ric Flair is on the mic, ranting about Ricky Steamboat again. He says that he refuses to let Steamboat get away with cheating Flair out of his title just because he is "retired". If he wanted to be left alone without any battles to be fought, he should not have stuck his nose into Flair's business and pulled off that poor ass referee job! Flair dares Steamboat to come out of retirement for one last match! Steamboat then appears and says that he called that match down the middle and only made sure Flair's goons would not corrupt the outcome of the match. But if Flair wants one last match against him, he's fine with that... but he'll need a few weeks to prepare, since he's out of shape, so it can't be any sooner than Bash at the Beach.

Randy Savage approaches Ricky Steamboat backstage. He says he thinks it's great that he's coming out of retirement for one last epic match against Ric Flair, to teach him a lesson. He speaks of the past matches between Flair and Steamboat, about how great they were... how people will always remember them. He reminds Steamboat of the great matches they themselves have had, and points out that he himself have had some pretty good matches against Flair - the last one not many weeks ago. And he says that the fans will undoubtedly love any such match at any time again... but why not give the fans something really special, something awesome they have never seen before...? Why not give them... Savage vs. Flair vs. Steamboat???!!! Steamboat agrees, and this epic encounter is on!

Ah, that's alright. The game really isn't based off the real world, and doesn't think exactly like it, so its understandable. Its like when you put on matches between the MotorCity Machine Guns and Generation Me as TNA... the fans love that in real life, but in the game it says horrible crowd and stuff.

Great news! After months of trying to convince TNT, WCW has finally been approved giving Nitro a 2 hours run time each monday!

This should allow for more of the WCW Superstars to be showcased each week, something WCW has been seeking ever since Saturday Night was cancelled.

It is rumoured but not confirmed that if this 2 hour Nitro is a success, WCW might expand their programming even further with a new show.

Great news. Question though, is Billy Kidman on your roster? O.o

Well sort of... he's not on my active roster, but I have him in development... along with many other interesting names. :)

You'll likely see him in a couple of months ingame time.

A little question for anyone following this diary: who do you think will become the new 4th member of The Four Horsemen?

Inside Scoop Wrestling News reports that World Championship Wrestling has signed an agreement with United States Wrestling Association for the latter to become a developmental ground for WCW. While WCW already has such an agreement in place with Eddie Sharkey's Pro Wrestling America, they are said to be dissapointed with PWA holding too few events for their talent to properly grow. It is expected that WCW will in the near future transfer most, if not all, of their developmental talent to USWA.

In other big news from WCW, it has been announced that from this september, we will see WCW Main Event back on television, as TNT has agreed to air it! It will run for 1½ hours and will in addition to featuring superstars and matches that can not always find room on WCW Monday Nitro also introduce a brand new concept: 8 new wrestlers will be introduced in a competition that will see them being voted out one by one untill only one remains. The winner will receive a title shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at an undesignated PPV! Each of these 8 wrestlers, who are all relatively new to wrestling at this level, will receive a current WCW superstar as tutor, with the aim to help them advance in the competition! This is the result of Jimmy Hart having spent the last many months travelling across the country in an attempt to find the next big wrestling superstar. He found not just 1, but 8 possible candidates... and was allowed by Eric Bischoff to feature them all in this competition.

Without further ado, let us present the 8 rookie wrestlers and their tutors:

Tutor: Steven Regal

Every now and then, the tutors will hold a vote to determine which of the competitors will be eliminated from the competition and chance to win the great prize. This will be done in the following way: each tutor will vote for their personal top 3, with the #1 getting 5 points, #2 3 points and #3 1 point. This will continue untill only 3 competitors remain, at which point they will only select #1 and #2 - and when only 2 competitors remain, only #1 shall receive a vote.

The show will air on the first saturday of september, so stay tuned!

Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Steve Austin are talking. Austin has a bandaged head due to the accidental damage suffered last week when Anderson missed DDP and hit him with a chair, and is reported to be out of action for the time being. Austin is not all that pleased with missing his title shot against DDP for the WCW United States Championship and Anderson subsequently winning it instead, but Flair convinces him that it's all about The Four Horsemen; it doesn't matter which one of them hold the title, it's a collective effort. And they can all be equally proud about Arn now being the US champion. Anderson apologizes to Austin and assures him that this is not what he wanted, but that from the horrible accident arose an opportunity he had to take - both for himself and especially for The Horsemen. Austin seems fairly appeased and shakes Anderson's hand, and Flair pulls them away and says they need to discuss how to make sure Flair will win the #1 contendership match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Hog Wild...

Rating: D

Diamond Dallas Page is calling out Arn Anderson, demanding a re-match and a chance to regain the title he lost to Anderson's cheating last week.
