I knew Devine-America would pull out a good grade, just wasn't sure what would have warranted Jack getting a title shot, but that was a nice nod to Jack America's 'ruined' debut on the last show :)

I am glad you liked that little nod to Jack America's debut. I was reminded of it a few weeks back and definitely figured it would be something that I could use.

In a funny twist, I have Devine and Greg Gauge teaming up on my next show

The Gauges and Devine really get around, huh? For those who have been living under a rock and haven't read any of it, Dragonmack does run a great diary right here: The David Mack Chronicles: NYCW - The Homecoming.

Yikes, almost missed this show. I get so disorganised when I don't go home.

That is one of the reasons why I do the 24 hour warning thing. I know how easy it is to get caught up in other things that are definitely more important than a diary. So I do the 24 hour warning to make sure people have time to predict.

USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING!

Wednesday Week 2 August 2010

Location: Huntsville Fairgrounds (South East)

Attendance: 5,000

Overall Rating: C+

TV Rating: 1.99

Last Week on USPW American Wrestling:

  • Darryl Devine opened the show with a challenge to Steve Flash to show up later that evening.
  • Joanne Rodriguez won a USPW Women's title shot by pinning Belle Bryden in a tag team match.
  • Bruce the Giant refused to lay down for Johnny Bloodstone. Thus he was attacked by Global Warning.
  • Shane Sneer claimed there were no other tag teams for The Titans to beat.
  • Rhino Umaga pinned American Elemental.
  • Enygma called out Acid but got no response.
  • American Patriot pinned JD Morgan after a distraction by Chris Caulfield.
  • Darryl Devine and Jack America put on a great match where Devine pinned America with a Devine Dream Drop.
  • Steve Flash showed up at the end of the show and pulled a ladder out from under the ring!

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JohnnyBloodstone_alt1.jpg

[Mitch Naess, Davis Ditterich and Eric Tyler welcomed everyone to USPW American Wrestling! The crowd rose in a chorus of boos as the music for Global Warning began to play. Out from the back alone walked 'The Submission Demon' Johnny Bloodstone. Johnny ignored the crowd and their boos as he walked right down to the ring and stepped inside, being handed a microphone.]

Johnny Bloodstone

"Last week, we saw a single mistake being made. We saw Bruce the Giant refuse to lay down and allow me to pin him and become the new USPW National Champion. Bruce, I know you got hurt last week but don't blame me, blame yourself. You are the one who made the mistake of not laying down for me. I am the leader of Global Warning. I am the Submission Demon. You're lucky I didn't make you tap out in front of all these fans here. Wouldn't that be nice? A giant of a man tapping out like a little baby? As a matter of fact, I think that can be arranged. So why don't you get your big, fat, out-of-shape butt down here to this ring and face me like a man?"

[Johnny puts the microphone down and drops into a wrestling stance. His eyes focus in on the entrance ramp as music begins to play.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg

[bruce the Giant walks out from the back! It looks like he is going to take Johnny Bloodstone up on his challenge. Bruce looks like an angry giant and right now he has the crowd on his side as he rumbles down toward the ring. He gets about halfway down as the crowd begins stirring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/RandallHopkirk_jhdangel.jpg

[it's Nikolai Taktarov! Taktarov comes running down and clips out the knee of Bruce the Giant! Bruce stays on his feet but barely! Taktarov begins punching away at the big body of Bruce the Giant. Johnny Bloodstone exits the ring and comes down to join the fight! Bruce tries to cover up like he did last week. Then he EXPLODES! He grabs Bloodstone and drops him with a Giant Headbutt! He grabs Taktarov around the throat and then goes down to the ground, releasing Taktarov.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChampagneLover.jpg

[it's Champagne Lover! We've seen some videos of this man the last couple of weeks. Lover has a chair and he is denting the chair on the back and back of the head of Bruce the Giant! The crowd boos as Johnny Bloodstone and Nikolai Taktarov get to their feet and join in on the assault on Bruce the Giant! Global Warning just got one member stronger, it would appear! Champagne Lover drops the chair and moves side by side with Johnny Bloodstone and Nikolai Taktarov. They each hold up three fingers, signifying the number of members within the group. Officials come running down to check on Bruce as Global Warning leaves, their message sent.]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/EveGrunge_alt1.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JoanneRodriguez.jpg

Eve Grunge vs. Joanne Rodriguez

[Though J-Ro is always a crowd-pleaser, our opening bout did not have a lot of fan focus behind it throughout the match. Unlike Eve Grunge's debut match here in USPW, J-Ro was mostly dominant throughout this bout. She took over Grunge with a good gutwrench suplex. Then she went right into her J-Rocker and made the pinfall: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Joanne Rodriguez (Via Pinfall @ 7:59)

Match Rating: D+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Devine_alt1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Seduction.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/mattkeithf.jpg

[We head back to the locker room via the USPW-Tron and boos echo from the crowd as Darryl Devine and Seduction are shown standing within the locker room. Darryl closes a locker door to reveal his tag team partner for later tonight: Matthew Keith. Matthew has that confident look in his eyes.]

Matthew Keith

"Hey Darryl. I thought we'd go over some last-minute strategy for our tag team match tonight."

Darryl Devine

"Matthew, the only strategy we need to use is to win. Anything else is secondary. I didn't become the USPW World Champion by losing matches, not even tag team matches where I have to rely on a partner."

Matthew Keith

"You don't have to worry about me, Darryl. They don't call me Perfection for nothing."

Darryl Devine

"You call yourself Perfection. Me? I'm happy being Mighty Fine."

[Darryl pats the belt around his waist and then wraps an arm around Seduction. Darryl turns and walks off as we catch Matthew getting a glimpse of Seduction from behind. We head off to another locker room.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/NickyChampion_jhdangel.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JimForce_dse81.jpg

[in this locker room are the former top contenders to the USPW World Tag Team Titles: Champion Force. The Champion is looking in a mirror and looking rather confused at the moment when The Force walks in and pats him on the shoulder.]

The Champion

"Jim, what am I doing here? What am I doing with this face paint on? Why can't I remember the last couple of months?"

[The Champion begins rubbing his face, rubbing at the face paint there and smearing it down his face.]

The Force

"The gods saw fit to give you a new name. And that new name was The Champion. They gave you powers beyond your understanding and even beyond my own understanding of the ways and nature of the FFFOOORRRCCCEEE! Champion, I can feel your Forcechlorian count is draining. It is falling well below the legal limits. Come and let me help you with that."

[The Champion looks confused and shrugs his shoulders, walking off with The Force. Maybe the Hades Bomb jogged the Nicky back into him?]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/T-Rex_alt1.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShaneSneer.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BobCasey.jpg

T-Rex vs. Bob Casey

[An absolute and total squash for the Jurassic Power. He dominated the usually happy and smiling Bob Casey from start to finish. A Power Bomb did not even finish the match as T-Rex yanked Bob Casey up at a count of 2 only. T-Rex backed up and ran -- Spear! He speared Bob Casey from his boots! Then he picked him up -- Jurassic Crush! The swinging Full Nelson got a quick submission from Bob Casey.]

Winner: T-Rex (Via Submission @ 6:18)

Match Rating: D+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SamStrong.jpg

[As T-Rex dropped Casey in the center of the ring, the music for Sam Strong began to play. The crowd cheered the owner of USPW! He is definitely a crowd pleaser! Strong has a microphone in hand as he stands at the top of the ramp.]

Sam Strong

"So you don't think there's enough competition here, huh, brothers? Well, let me tell you something, dudes, you are about to get more competition than you can handle. It's going to begin next week and then on to the pay-per-view at the end of the month. We are going to bring in some tag teams the likes of which you have never faced, brothers. We will see if you are as dominant as you think you are."

[sam's music plays again and T-Rex looks supremely confident as he stands in the center of the ring yelling out at Sam Strong with Shane Sneer by his side.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma_alt1.jpg

[The crowd boos as the music for the man known as Enygma begins to play. Enygma walks from the back and makes a beeline right for the ring looking unhappy as usual and he is about as popular as a skunk at a picnic right now. He steps inside the ring with a microphone in hand.]

Enygma

"Alright, last week, I stepped inside this very ring and I challenged Acid to come out and face me in one more match. One more match but he has the nerve to ignore me. Well, that's alright, because I'm out here this week to do it again. Come on, Acid. If you've got any guts behind that masked face of yours, then come out here and face me like a man. Prove to all these idiots that you're not the coward that I know you are. Come on. I'm right here. I'm standing right here in the center of the ring, Acid."

[An 'Acid' chant breaks out through the crowd. They really want him to come out here and shut Enygma up!]

Enygma

"That's what I thought. No guts. No will to face me once again in the center of the ring. Come on, I'm begging you!"

[Enygma drops down and lays on his back in the center of the ring, daring Acid to show up! But there is no response from the masked man. So Enygma drops the microphone and exits the ring, walking to the back.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/RhinoUmaga.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShaneSneer.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BulldozerBrandon_alt2.jpg

Rhino Umaga vs. American Patriot

[This is perhaps the toughest challenge that the undefeated Rhino Umaga has faced since entering USPW in American Patriot, who picked up a big win last week against the Hardcore Brotherhood's JD Morgan. Patriot tried to use his power and outmuscle Rhino Umaga here but Rhino was having none of that. Rhino looked absolutely strong and dominant in this encounter with the guidance of Shane Sneer at ringside. Rhino set Patriot up in the corner -- Rhino Charge! Patriot fell to the mat and Rhino made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Rhino Umaga (Via Pinfall @ 6:06)

Match Rating: D

[The crowd booed the victory but Rhino Umaga was not done yet! He set American Patriot up in the corner again -- Rhino Charge! A second Rhino Charge sent American Patriot down hard to the mat. Only Shane Sneer came in and controlled Rhino Umaga. Rhino raised three fingers to boos from the crowd.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TravisCentury.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JDMorgan.jpg

[We head down to...the boiler room? The pipes can be heard working hard to keep the Huntsville Fairgrounds heated and within that area can be seen the members of The Hardcore Brotherhood. Travis stands in front of the other two members and looks to them both.]

Travis Century

"Tonight, the Brotherhood begins a sacred step within our journey. Tonight, my Brothers, we will prove that we are the chosen ones. We are the ones chosen by DaVE to lead the new revolution. We are the ones that can bring about the change. We shall do that beginning tonight."

[Travis cracks an evil smile and gives both men the sign of the cross and then signs himself. Just what do they have planned tonight?]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SamStrong.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpg

[We cut from there to the office of the USPW Owner Sam Strong. He is seated behind his desk going over some paperwork when Alicia Strong walks in. She looks to her father and flashes him that innocent daddy's little girl smile.]

Alicia Strong

"What are you doing, Dad?"

Sam Strong

"Going over some contracts, Babygirl. Was there something you needed?"

Alicia Strong

"Well, kind of. You see I don't have a match lined up at Apple Pie And Wrestling. And I was kinda thinking, Dad, that you could have me face off against Belle Bryden for the USPW Women's title."

Sam Strong

"That shot already went to Joanne Rodriguez, sweetie."

Alicia Strong

"Joanne, Joanne, Joanne! What's so special about her anyway? Why does she deserve a title shot?"

Sam Strong

"She won the match last week with the stipulation, daughter."

[Alicia lets out a frustrated sound and scatters the contracts on top of the desk! She stomps her feet and stomps out of the room. Sam just releases a little grunt and rubs his forehead for a moment like a migraine is coming on. Then he turns and begins picking up the contracts and we head back to the ring.]

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TravisCentury.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JDMorgan.jpg

vs.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DonnieJ.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JamesPrudence.jpg

The Hardcore Brotherhood vs. Chris Caulfield and The Fly Boys

[For once, a six man tag team match that did not begin with a pier six brawl. Instead, it began with James Prudence and JD Morgan in the center of the ring doing battle. It didn't take Prudence long to frustrate Morgan and Morgan exited the ring to regroup. Prudence didn't care much for that strategy and came bounding over the top rope onto Morgan! The Hardcore Brotherhood spilled down there to help out and Donnie J came flying over with a somersault cannonball that sent everyone down to the ground outside the ring. Chris Caulfield remained in the corner looking over to where the carnage is but not getting involved. Things returned to the ring where Prudence and Donnie J used a couple of double team moves until Donnie J got caught in the wrong corner and it was time for the Hardcore Brotherhood to take over.]

[There were double and sometimes even triple team moves by The Hardcore Brotherhood, including a triple suplex that sent Donnie J crashing down to the mat. Century, Gonzalez and Morgan tagged in and out with frequency until Gonzalez was caught with a springboard dropkick by Donnie J! Donnie crawled for a tag and so did Gonzalez. Gonzalez brought in Morgan while Donnie J tagged in The Hardcore American Chris Caulfield! Caulfield dropped Gonzalez with a clothesline and did the same to JD Morgan! He stared right at Travis Century for a moment and then turned his attention back to JD Morgan. He took Morgan over with a powerslam and then a backbreaker! He set up JD Morgan -- Danger Drop! He made the cover as the Fly Boys came in to protect the pinfall: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: Chris Caulfield and The Fly Boys (Via Pinfall @ 9:27)

Match Rating: C+

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Devine_alt1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/mattkeithf.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Seduction.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SteveFlash.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ArtReed.jpg

Darryl Devine and Matthew Keith vs. Steve Flash and Art Reed

[What a tag team encounter in our main event. We have Mighty Fine, Perfection, Remarkable and a Pure Athlete. You cannot beat all this talent in the same ring at the same time, right? And that is exactly how things started, with all four men in the ring. Darryl Devine escaped the ring early on, leaving Matthew Keith alone in there with both Flash and Art Reed. Keith was sent into the corner and Reed dropped down for a little Poetry In Motion! Keith staggered forward and then dropped to the mat. Steve Flash made the cover:]

[...1...

...2...

Broken Up By Darryl Devine!]

[steve Flash remained the legal man in the ring and pulled Matthe Keith to his feet. He sent him to the ropes and back dropped him down to the mat. Flash bounced off the ropes -- somersault legdrop! What a move by the number one contender! Flash made a cover: 1 -- Kickout! Flash got to his feet and sent Keith for the ride into the turnbuckle. Flash followed him in but Keith moved out of the way! Keith dove for the legs and hit Flash in the back of the knee! The crowd booed but Keith tagged out to Darryl Devine. The USPW World Champion came running in, putting the boots to his opponent at USPW Apple Pie And Wrestling. He struck him right in the back of the knee with several stomps! The crowd tried to rally behind Steve Flash. Devine moved Flash over and laid him throat-first on the bottom rope. He leaped over -- guillotine legdrop! Devine landed outside the ring and then slid back in. He made the cover:]

[...1...

...2...

Kickout!]

[There's still some life left in Steve Flash after all! The match went on for several minutes with Matthew Keith and Darryl Devine tagging in and out and cutting off the ring so that Steve Flash could not make a tag. They egged Art Reed into the ring and then double-teamed or choked Flash behind the referee's back! They finished by the time the referee turned back around. Keith took Flash down with a Rolling Neck Snap. He grabbed the legs to go for the Proton Lock but Flash used some strength in his legs to trip Keith down to the mat! What a good reversal by the man known as Remarkable! Flash crawled toward his corner, as did Keith. Both men made tags around the same time!]

[Art Reed, the fresher man of the two, came bounding in with punches to Darryl Devine and to Matthew Keith! He banged their heads together like coconuts! The crowd really got into it as he threw Matthew Keith over the top rope to the floor! Reed looked toward Darryl Devine as Steve Flash came in and went back out after Matthew Keith! The referee tried to split up Flash and Keith and Seduction got up on the apron, taking off her shoe! Reed got distracted by Seduction, walking over to her on the apron! He grabbed her by the hair and she swung the shoe -- ducked! She connected with Darryl Devine! Devine was standing behind Art Reed and he was the one that got nailed with the shoe! Devine fell back to the mat and Art Reed looked to take advantage but heading to the top turnbuckle as Seduction was dazed at what she had done -- Hangtime Moonsault! He connected! Art Reed grabbed the referee and made the cover, hooking the leg:]

[...1...

...2...

...3!]

Winners: Steve Flash and Art Reed (Via Pinfall @ 13:58)

Match Rating: B

[WOW! Art Reed has just PINNED the USPW World Champion! What an upset here tonight in Huntsville! The crowd goes absolutely wild! The Pure Athlete looks shocked in the center of the ring at what just happened! Matthew Keith blasted Steve Flash outside the ring and sent him shoulder-first into the steel steps! Keith grabbed his USPW World Television Title and slid into the ring -- BOOM! He dropped Art Reed with a shot from the belt! Seduction entered the ring with the USPW World title belt and checked on Darryl Devine. Matthew Keith stood tall over everyone as the show comes to a close! We'll see you next week! What an upset!]

Glad you enjoyed the show. This show in particular has been a big set up for future storylines. I won't say where in particular as, well, you need to read to find out. But I am glad that you've enjoyed the build so far. As far as Acid's return? Well, I cannot tell a lie. I know when he'll be back but I'm not telling. ;)

Glad you enjoyed the show. Sometimes I have the time to get the shows done quickly and other times I have to take my time through them. It all depends on when and how the mood strikes me. But I will always stick with putting up a 24 hour warning, I think. I think it is a real help to everyone.

[Demon is such a nasty word. People use the words 'fighting their personal demons' all the time, don't they? But those are usually the people who don't understand what the crushing weight of an addiction can feel like. They are the ones who do not understand that sometimes you need something to shut away the pain. Sometimes you need something just to move forward to the next day. Or something to forget about the previous day and everything that has happened to you before. Sometimes, people want to just color inside the lines and sometimes that doesn't work. Sometimes you have to go outside the box. That is exactly what this man, Jack, is thinking about as he lies within his bed at night after popping several pills that he didn't even look at what he was taking. Were they for pain? Were they for sleeping? Were they for nausea? Nope. Definitely not for nausea as Jack finds out when he has to exit his bed and go pray to the porcelain god. All kinds of vile sounds eminating from that bathroom inside his small apartment. He got this apartment only recently though he has been living in Huntsville for nearly a year now.]

[beads of sweat formed on Jack's forehead and he looked at the alarm clock he now kept within the bathroom just for these times. 4:00 AM. He has a lunch meeting with Sam at noon. Sam Strong. The owner of USPW. The man who gave him a chance to prove what he could do on a national level. That man is alright. But Jack is definitely not feeling alright. His head is pounding. His body is aching. He lays his cheek down on the cold tiles of the bathroom, thinking that feels so good right now. Just the cold on his shaking, edgy body. He blinks his eyes a few times, looking a little dazed and confused for a moment. What can help him right now? More pills. Yeah, that's what he needs. Just a few more pills and a few more hours of sleep and he'll be fine.]

Glad you enjoyed the show. Sometimes I have the time to get the shows done quickly and other times I have to take my time through them. It all depends on when and how the mood strikes me. But I will always stick with putting up a 24 hour warning, I think. I think it is a real help to everyone.

Yes, definitely, the 24 hour warning is perfect. Nice side story with Jack America. Anticipating where this will go from here. I digs, I digs.

Shawn Gonzalez vs. Jack America

Century is the mouthpiece of the Hardcore Brotherhood but Gonzalez is their strongest member, and the Brotherhood could do with picking up a win to remain a threat.

UEW Wrestler Joey Beauchamp vs. The Force

Joey has been brought in to job.

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Titans defend vs. A Mystery Team

I'm sure the open challenge angle will be heading somewhere, but the Titans won't be losing the belts in the first of these matches.

Non Title: Matthew Keith vs. Steve Flash

Non Title kind of gives this one away, especially with Flash due another world title shot.

Enygma vs. Chris Caulfield

Hard one to call, as both have stuff going on....when it's this close and just on a regular show I tend to side with the heel to pull out the win through cheating or inteference.

["She keeps looking at you."

Jack looked up from his whiskey sour and looked in the direction that his friend was looking toward. There she was. She was dressed in a blue dress that highlighted her features perfectly. Her blonde hair was down over her shoulders and she was as beautiful as a model and as resplendent as a saint. And the important thing was that Nicky was right. She did keep looking over at him. That was very odd to him right now all things considered. Alicia Strong might one day become his boss if she chooses to take things over when her father retires from the business. Yes, one day, even Sam Strong will leave the business to the younger generation. That thought is really hard to register considering how long he has been in the business but at the same time it's got to be coming soon, right?

"You really should go and talk to her."

Jack's eyes turned to Nicky Champion for a moment and his eyes narrowed. Everyone knows that Nicky and Alicia have been close friends for a long time. Most people think they would be perfect candidates to date, Jack included. So why was Nicky trying to tell him to go over and talk with her?

"Nah." Jack said as he took another swig off the whiskey sour. "Not her type. But you can go over and say hello. I need to get some sleep."

Jack finished his drink and pulled out some money to pay for it. He settled his tab and patted his friend Nicky on the shoulder. Nicky's a good guy. He's one of the few good guys left in the business. Jack rose to his feet and headed out of the hotel bar and up to his room. Tomorrow is a big day as another television taping will summon him.]

[Alicia Strong's eyes followed this man, Jack, as he gave Nicky a pat on the shoulder and then left the hotel bar. Her lips turned into a frown as he didn't even come over and say hello. She tried to push off the feelings she was having as Nicky came over. "Nicky. What's the deal with Jack? Why did he run off so soon?"

Nicky shrugged. "I think he is getting some rest for tomorrow."

Alicia doubted that very much. She exchanged a few pleasantries with her friend and then excused herself from the hotel bar. She headed to the elevator and stepped inside. She hit the button but not for her floor. No, she hit the button for a different floor and waited a few moments before the elevator doors dinged and then opened. She stepped out and walked the short distance to room 321 and knocked on the door. "Jack? It's me. I want to talk about a few things for tomorrow's show."

After a few minutes of knocking, the door swung open and Alicia was almost horrified at what she saw. Jack's eyes were wide and he looked strung out. He looked like he had seen one too many ghosts or something. Jack staggered back to the bed in his room and laid down. Alicia looked at him for a few moments and then shook her head and exited the hotel room. This is definitely not good for him or his career.]

Glad you're enjoying the side story. I was beginning to wonder how many were actually reading that part of the story since I didn't start it in the beginning. But I think it will become a really interesting part of the diary that I hope everyone enjoys.

Thanks for the comments on the matches, Tigerkinney. Truthfully, I always look forward to reading your insight on things.
