This weeks Raw started with the return of the cobra! Santino Marella teamed with Vladimir Kozlov to take on and defeat the Usos. The finish of the match came as Maryse walked out from the back and slapped Tamina across the face causing Jimmy Uso, the illegal man to sprint around the ring and confront Maryse only to be attacked by Brett & Ted DiBiase who were sat at ringside. Unbeknownst to the Uso brothers.

After a short commercial break we are taken straight into the second match of the night where we see the Miz compete in the first quarter final match of the King Of the Ring tournament. The Miz defeated The Great Khali after the referee took a bump, mid match which allowed Alex Riley an opportunity to attack Khali and gave The Miz who was losing the match at that point. The upper hand and eventually the win.

***

The first segment of the night came as we saw a highlight video of John Cena’s heel turn on last weeks Raw.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/MichelleMcCool.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/LaylaEl.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/NatalyaNeidhart.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/GailKim.jpg

Another commercial break comes to a close and we are spoilt with yet another match, this time we see Michelle McCool & Layla against Gail Kim & Natalya in an all divas tag match. Throughout the match, LayCool were trying to get Kaval to interfere in the match, to which he refused. This annoyed the divas who managed to scrape the victory through cheating of their own.

***

After the match as Kaval was walking behind the two divas, in the corner of the camera shot we see The Miz walk up and confront the SmackDown star. After a word of warning from The Miz, Alex Riley laughs in the face of Kaval. But he shrugs it off and laughs back at Riley.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/DanielBryan.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/WilliamRegal.jpg

The second quarter final of the night saw Daniel Bryan defeat William Regal in a body destroying 22:37. This match gained a B rating when Bryan won with a clean submission move. After the match we see Bryan offer a handshake to the British legend and Regal accepts.

***

In this segment we saw Shane McMahon announce to the universe that there will no longer be superman characters and that the PG rating is getting the ‘F’ out. He proclaimed to the fans that until WrestleMania, the WWE is getting a new attitude sort of speak and that he is leading the way, including a new SmackDown & Raw general manager and the return of the Hell in a cell at King Of the Ring. He also teased to the fans that there would be a new high flying division added to the WWE as a part of SmackDown, he did everything but confirm it.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/JohnCena3.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/Sheamus.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/RandyOrton.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/EvanBourne.jpg

The main event of the evening is finally upon the fans in attendance and we see Sheamus & John Cena against Randy Orton & Evan Bourne. This match saw John Cena and Sheamus defeat the WWE champion and partner in 18:04. The finish of the match however saw the rest of the Nexus run in and decimated Evan Bourne, before turning their crosshairs on Randy Orton. Orton was knocked out by Wade Barrett and Cena picked up the win over the Irish bred Sheamus.

***

After the main event we see the Nexus drag Randy Orton into the ring and point at Cena, signalling to him to destroy the WWE champion. As Cena stands there with his best selling WWE merchandise on he takes to the microphone and shoots on the WWE. He states that he agrees with Shane McMahon saying that he is sick of the PG rating and that he is bringing in a new era to the WWE. He says that instead of fighting the Nexus, then if he can’t beat them he’ll join them. The exclamation point of the segment came as Cena ripped of his shirt (Hogan style) and put on a Nexus branded T-Shirt and Nexus cap.

***

The next segment and final one of the night saw Cena point to Orton implying he was going to destroy him. However as he does a new theme tune blasts down the PA system:

<object height="385" width="480"> </object>

<object height="385" width="480"> </object>

<object height="385" width="480"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvr_yXfrhM8?fs=1&hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="385" width="480"></object>

Out from the crowd runs the returning Edge, who sprints into the ring and annihilates the Nexus and chases John Cena out of the ring and up the ramp. However Edge doesn’t follow suit and he takes to the microphone after helping Orton to his feet. He declares that at the King Of the Ring, there will be another six man Raw main event.

The show opens with Matt Hardy wandering around the back of the arena looking for Rey Mysterio. He finally finds him after asking Dean Malenko, he asks Mysterio since he isn’t booked on the show. Whether Hardy can join him and even the odds against the DiBiase’s and Rey accepts the offer of help. But as Hardy turns to leave he walks into Maryse and knocks her to the ground, as he offers his hand to help her up he gets attacked by Ted DiBiase via use of the Million Dollar belt.

The next segment of the night is the first Quarter Final match of the tournament and it sees Kaval take on and defeat Jack Swagger in a stand out match. Kaval picks up the win via a clean finish after 17:56.

***

After the match however his spotlight was taken away after the match as he is verbally attacked by Alberto Del Rio. But Del Rio was unable to do any damage as sitting at ringside, scouting Kaval was Daniel Bryan. His presence at ringside was enough to deter any physical attack from Alberto.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/CMPunk.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/MVP.jpg

After a commercial we are taken straight back into the action when we see CM Punk proceed through to the Semi Finals of the tournament. Punk picked up the win over an in-form MVP with a match that rated an A. The finish of the match came as Punk got inside the head of MVP before the match with a short and snappy Pro SES preach.

***

The next segment was the Divas part of the show and it saw an argument and eventual brawl break out backstage between Michelle McCool and Kelly Kelly. After a few minutes, Layla had to intervene as McCool took the beat down too far.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/MattHardy.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/ReyMysterio.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/TedDibiaseJr.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/BrettDibiase.jpg

The next match saw the united team of Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio edge out the DiBiase’s in a match that went for only 15:09. The finish of the match came as Ted DiBiase was too concerned over the well being of Maryse who was accidentally knocked off the apron by Brett. Mysterio picked up the win via the 619.

***

The next segment saw Shane McMahon take to the microphone and announced that post Survivor Series, he would appoint the new General Manager of SmackDown and that the new GM will have complete control over SmackDown and its superstars.

***

The next segment of the night and the first appearance of The Undertaker of the night, saw him standing in a funeral home talking about the past of his family and mentioned Paul Bearers name for the first time. Towards the end of the segment Undertaker walked out of the home and into a grave yard, where one empty grave lay freashly dug. A familiar laughter filled the arena as Kane stood in the ring waiting to start his laugh and on the entrance way flashed a spotlight with the figure appearing one last time. The promo ends asking what Kane would sacrifice?

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/Kane.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/BigShow.jpg

The main event of SmackDown finally dawned on the fans and from the outset, Kane had other things on his mind due to the promo beforehand. However, Kane managed to defeat the gigantic Big Show in a 12:34 match. After the match Kane didn’t celebrate his flames from the corners and instead walked briskly up the ramp to see if anyone remained.

***

As Kane left the arena a small video began to play hyping the sacrifices of The Undertaker:

The last Raw before King of the Ring opens with the recently turned John Cena in a secluded locker room alongside Nexus leader; Wade Barret and Sheamus. He gives the two men a pep talk and demands that they win tonight or else. The intensity of Cena was unmatched.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/WilliamRegal.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/JohnMorrison.jpg

The first match of the night saw William Regal pick up a win over a former Intercontinental champion. But he didn’t win alone as he had some help from the re-debuting Paul Burchill and a pair of brass knuckles. The finish of the match came as Burchill jumped the guard rail and threw the brass knuckles into the ring. Regal, playing possum caught the knuckle duster and lay prone on the ground. Only to strike Morrison in the face as he spring boarded into the ring. This was the chance needed for Regal and picked up the win with a c0cky pin.

***

The next segment saw Michelle McCool argue with Layla’s opponent later on, however as the argue gets increasingly heated; Michelle’s temper gets the better of her and she attacks Kelly Kelly. Only for the second week in a row she is pulled off by Layla who seemed to be getting frustrated at McCool’s actions.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/TysonKidd.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/BrettDibiase.jpg

The second match of the night saw Tyson Kidd pick up a clean victory over Brett DiBiase in 8:56. The match despite being short had been botchy and slow, however the work of Natalya stole the show; until an attack from Maryse who was also at ringside, but was overshadowed by Neidhart.

***

The second divas segment of the night came as we see Shane McMahon tell Layla that since she doesn’t have an opponent tonight, then he will pick one for her. But since the other divas are “preoccupied” he told the Englishwoman that she’d be facing off against a wild card. But if she loses then Michelle will have another diva to face this Sunday at King of the Ring.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/JenniferBlake.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/LaylaEl.jpg

Despite a clear lack of chemistry we saw the debuting Jen Dynamite (Jennifer Blake) defeat the former Women’s champion in a short match. The finish of the match came as Layla had to shout at her tag team partner to prevent her from intervening in the match. This gave Dynamite the advantage and she picked up the win in 4:53, earning a place in this Sundays Unified Divas title match.

***

The next segment saw the recently reunited Rated RKO walking backstage looking for Evan Bourne. They find him eventually talking a former manager of his from the independents but as Edge and Orton come closer, she walks off. The abandoned Evan Bourne look wary as Orton talks about him Bourne being in the right place at the right time. However Edge interjects himself and tell Bourne that they have his back in the main event but at the Pay Per View, it’s every man for himself.

The first main event of the night saw Randy Orton, Edge and Evan Bourne defeated by John Cena, Wade Barret and Sheamus in a long match that lasted 21:34. The finish of the match came as the leader of the Nexus had a little help from his friends as they attacked the World Heavyweight champion on the outside whilst the referee was distracted by John Cena and Sheamus. Then Barret picked up the win with the reversal of the shooting star press and a quick three count.

The match was again a long one, it went on for a solid 22:46 and it ended when Bryan locked The Miz in his devastating Lebelle Lock submission causing The Miz to tap out. However the former WWE United states champion hung on as long as possible but was in some considerable pain post match and looked as though he had suffered an injury.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/MVP.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/AlbertoDelRio.jpg

This weeks SmackDown opens with Alberto Del Rio picking up the victory over MVP in a match that went on for 6:54. Used as a warm up match, the finish came as Alberto threw his “personal ring announcer” in the way of his Malicious Intent spin kick. Causing MVP to be surprised when Del Rio caught him with his own Rolling Cross Arm bar causing him to tap out.

***

After the match Alberto Del Rio is walking through the backstage area and he walks into the path of Lay Cool (on their way to the ring) who stand and smile at the Mexican Luchadore. However into the shot walks Kaval and laughs at Del Rios feeble attempts of rising to the top and says that when he becomes champion Del Rio will never get a shot unless he earns it.

***

The next match of the night saw Lay Cool victorious over Michelle McCool’s opponents at King of the Ring. The match finish came as Lay Cool seemed to be having problems communicating only to use it to their advantage and take the unfocused Jen Dynamite off her feet with a double suplex, followed by the three count.

***

The next segment saw Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio backstage taunting the DiBiase’s but finally turned their attention towards the current tag team champions and issued a challenge to them for the pay per view. But the challenge remains unanswered.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/TheUndertaker.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/JackSwagger.jpg

A well anticipated match next as we see The Undertaker take on Jack Swagger in a singles match, the result was predictable. However the finish of the match saw The Undertaker snap and unleashed a devastating Tomb Stone to the former World Champion. The finishing move was perfectly sold by Swagger as it seemed his whole body bounced off of the canvas on impact. The Undertaker picked up the win in 7:50.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/MattHardy.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/ReyMysterio.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/BrettDibiase.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/TedDibiaseJr.jpg

The second tag team match of the night saw Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio take on The DiBiase’s. The winners of the match and new number one contenders are Mysterio and Hardy when they channelled the Hardy Boys and landed a tandem splash and leg drop from two ladders that were set up outside the ring.

***

After another commercial we are given a recap of the previous match and afterwards the Tag Team Champions accept the challenge of Matt Hardy. But as they do, Shane McMahon intervenes and makes the match a three way. Now including the Hart Dynasty.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/KofiKingston.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/Kane.jpg

After commercial we are taken straight back into the action with the semi main event of SmackDown as we see Kane take on Kofi Kingston in a singles match. During the match we saw the same ominous figure appear on the entrance ramp followed by the gongs and the rain that we saw on last weeks SmackDown. However the figure remains on the entrance ramp throughout the match with the music playing throughout. Despite the mind games being played, Kane picked up the victory with a Tombstone of his own.

***

To break up the main events we see a video package playing, hyping CM Punk and Kavals journey to the semi finals of the King Of the Ring.

***

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/kaval.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/CMPunk4.jpg

Finally it was time to find out who the second man is in the King Of The Ring finals at this Sundays Pay-Per-View. However at the end of the match we saw Alberto Del Rio and Luke Gallows try and get a piece of the action. But the referee could only see both interfering men attack both of the competitors. However as the ref called for the bell the fans began to chant to let them fight and the referee allowed the match to continue. Only for Gallows to intervene again, which costs Kaval the match allowing for Punk to pick up the victory and progress to the final of the tournament.

***

The closing segment saw The Undertaker in the grave yard of last week to show a flashback scene of the exhumation of the grave labelled: Paul Bearer.

The first pay per view under the tutolage of Shane McMahon is finally upon the WWE universe and he is set to make a huge announcement later on in the show. Onwards and upwards the show goes with it starting with the Hell In a Cell already in position around the ring. Whilst the lights flash blue and black a video package plays on the big screen and it recaps the 1998 King Of the Ring Hell In a Cell match.

This kicks the event off and we are taken into the next segment.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/WilliamRegal.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/TheMiz.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/AlbertoDelRio.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/MVP.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/JohnMorrison.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/kaval.jpg

The first match of the night is used to get the crowd warmed up and to crown the new number one contender for either Raw or SmackDown’s midcard titles respectively. This was a battle royal match in which an elimination occurs by throwing an opponent over the top rope. The winner of the match was Kaval and he won by eliminating the extremely c0cky Del Rio followed by a quick double kick to the chest of The Miz sending him crashing out of the ring. This earned Kaval a shot at the Intercontinental Championship.

We are straight back into the action after a fancy graphic and a note from the sponsors. We follow on with the divas portion of the show as we see Michelle McCool defend her title against Natalya Neidhart and newcomer; Jen Dynamite. She successfully defended her title when she pinned the new comer after Natalya chased Layla back to the backstage area. Michelle insulted the new diva as a celebration she drew all over the back of Dynamite (reminiscent of the NWO) labelling her a “slut” in lipstick.

The next segment saw John Cena hyping himself up, putting over the fact that he has already defeated all men in the title match. Also he promised that the Nexus would bring in a new era to the main event ranks and will rule the heavyweight division with an iron fist. Also he mentioned flippantly that he would defend the title against anyone and everyone, past or present.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

The next segment saw Shane McMahon come to the ring with a microphone in hand and he began to speak openly with crowd.

Shane McMahon: Ladies and Gentlemen: I promised a change was coming, well starting at Survivor Series. That change will be here, the rebirth of wrestling is coming, with a sports entertainment twist! In four weeks time, Cruiserweight wrestling is back! A back in the best shape of its life, that’s why at the next PPV you will see a battle royal with some of the finest cruiserweights in the world. Not only will you see Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio. But World Wrestling Entertainment are bringing in some of the best young stars in the world of wrestling to amaze and outstand you, the WWE Universe.

Shane leaves the ring after his announcement and allows the crowd to ponder about the next pay per view.

The next match of the night came as we saw the World tag team champions take on Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio and The Hart Dynasty. The champions retained their title as an interfering DiBiase’s destroy almost all of the competitors excluding Matt Hardy and Drew McIntyre.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

After the match we see the DiBiase’s run their mouths, berating the second generation stars that were attacked during the previous match. They say that they agree with Cody Rhodes about people riding the coat tails of their parents. Despite the apparent hypocrisy on show from Ted and Brett this adds to a harsh response from the crowd.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

This segment is followed swiftly by an extremely heated confrontation between Sheamus and Edge. Edge smiles wide at the man that put him on the sidelines for a couple of weeks. Edge stares at the Irish born Sheamus and stares back only before threatening to put out for good this time.

The next match and final match on the Raw side of things saw the six man challenge match. In which 6 men start the match and elimination occurs via pin fall and submission only. The winner of the match was an intense Cena who destroyed Sheamus for the final elimination after he couldn’t prevent Wade Barret being eliminated by the viper Randy Orton. Evan Bourne put in a good performance when he was left in the ring with Wade Barret.

The next segment of the night highlighted the road to the finals of the King Of the Ring tournament. This was prefaced by a recap of previous winners and the champions that became of the tournament win.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/TheUndertaker.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/Kane.jpg

The SmackDown main event of the night saw Kane retain his title but lost his calm demeanour and broke down as the Undertakers mind games grew to boiling point. As mid match The Undertaker left the confines of the cell after the lights went out and once they came back on the door was ripped from its hinges. This gave The Undertaker an advantage of climbing up the outside of the cell wall. Shortly followed by Kane, Undertaker grabs him by the throat and laughter comes from the PA system and down the entrance way walks Paul Bearer and the urn. As he slowly walks down the ramp he raises the urn in the air and the lights dim with an enormous thunderclap. As the thunder erupts around the arena Paul slams the urn down to the ground and as he does Take slams Kane through the ceiling of the cell and he crashes down to the canvas. As he lands on the mat the ashes from the urn spill out and Undertaker drops through the cell roof for the pin. But the match wasn’t over as Kane sits upright and Bearer lifts the urn up once more as Kane tombstones his brother for the win.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/CMPunk4.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/DanielBryan.jpg

The final main event of the evening comes as we see Daniel Bryan become the 18th King Of the Ring. This win earns the former NXT rookie a shot at the WWE Championship at Survivor series. The finish of the match came as Luke Gallows tried once again to get involved in the match but was caught in the Cattle Mutilation and as Punk dropped the elbow Bryan moves out the way causing Gallows to be hit in the back of the head. This gave Bryan the opportunity to drop Punk with the Regal Plex. This allowed Bryan to pick up the win in 25:43.

Just one day removed from the first pay-per-view under Shane McMahons booking decisions. We saw a new WWE Champion and King Of the Ring crowned, but another change is coming as we start the show inside the office of the young McMahon.

He isn’t alone for long as into the office walks The Miz with a bright smile on his face and clearly something to say. As he walks into the shot he tells the unimpressed McMahon that it’s been over a month since Daniel Bryan defended his United States title. Continuing his rant he demands that he gets the title since he was the last holder of the belt. But Shane cuts him off, despite agreeing with him he tells The Miz that he has to strip Bryan of the strap and books The Miz in the match with the title on the line.

The first match saw the reunited team of William Regal and Paul Burchill defeat Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov. The contrast of teams played out well until Santino tried the cobra and was knocked out from the brass knuckles of Regal. Meanwhile Paul Burchill took care of the Russian with a devastating Twisted Sister.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/JohnCena3.jpg

The lights turn to a dim grey and on the ring projects a huge yellow N onto the ring canvas and hits the music of the newly crowned WWE Champion; John Cena. He enters the ring and begins to speak

John Cena: The champ is here! Finally I get my hands on the WWE Championship! Better yet, the Nexus gets its hands on the WWE Championship and so begins my 8th reign as the top dog in World Wrestling Entertainment! Don’t you dare boo me! I’m the champion, the head honcho and don’t you forget it! But if you don’t believe me, ill prove it to you, from now to the Royal Rumble I’ll beat every one put in front of me! Anyone and everyone! You see people wonder why I joined the Nexus and why I turned my back on the insolent kids in the crowd. Because I wanted to be a winner and win is was I’ve been doing!

Cena walks back up the ramp and out of the arena.

Next up was the Divas match of the night; Michelle McCool went over Melina in a match that lasted 6:43. However the finish of the match came as the returning Beth Phoenix ran down to ringside and stopped Layla from interfering in the match. Then she stopped McCool from attacking Melina only to be beat down by the pair of divas.

Following a commercial we are treated to a good match from Edge and Wade Barret, which ended when Barret had help from the Nexus. The stable managed to distract the referee before an outstanding interference from John Cena who destroyed Edge until Randy Orton ran in for the save.

The next match saw Evan Bourne win the United States Championship in a ladder match, this also saw the UK Kid (Pac). With great highflying action we were given a preview of the cruiserweight division when Morrison, Bourne, Kid and Bourne put on a quick paced clinic. However the performance of Justin Gabriel was terrible and was only saved from a disaster when he performed a picture perfect 450 splash. Bourne picked up the win by grabbing the belt from above the ring, only to Shooting Star Press onto the group of wrestlers below him, including the interfering Nexus.

The main event of Raw comes to fruition and John Cena makes good on his promise from previously in the night. As he and Sheamus defeated Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan following an Attitude Adjustment. However after the match we saw Bryan stand up and get in the face of John Cena as he tries to intimidate him, but Bryan had to back down as the rest of the Nexus join there new leader.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/TheUndertaker.jpg

The opening segment of the night comes as we see the defeated Undertaker return to Smackdown just five days after his own manager screwed him out of the World Heavyweight title.

Undertaker walks down the aisle with a grave look on his face, he walks down with the urn and enters the ring as a gong sounds throughout the arena. Out walk the druids behind him and the tirade of The Dead man begins again on another edition of SmackDown.

The Undertaker: Last Sunday, my brother Kane and I battled in the satan’s structure only to be sold old by the devil himself…My father! Last Sunday I had the World Heavyweight Championship in my grasp, only to have stolen from my own family. But enough is enough. Judgement day is upon us, Kane. At Survivor Series I challenge you to a Last Ride Match! But heed my words dear brother for once I regain the Holy Grail…

The Undertaker lowers his head before raising his hands and slamming them back down, mimicking Kane. This time with thunder crashing into the entrance ramp and from it raises a tombstone, reading:

The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.”

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Tombstone.png

The lights fade to black with a single solemn spotlight on the tombstone and we are taken into a commercial.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/AlbertoDelRio.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/kaval-1.jpg

Next up on SmackDown is the hotly anticipated Kaval vs. Del Rio match and to the surprise of the fans; the winner was Alberto Del Rio. The finish of the match came as from the crowd; Kaval was caught with a swift right hand from someone in a cap and street clothes. However the perpertrayor still remains unknown, the knockout blow caused Kaval to stumble into the ring and walked straight into a springboarding moonsault which aided Rio to pick up the win. Also to come out of the match was the apparent lack of presence from Michelle McCool at ringside, leaving Layla alone for the first time in months.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/MichelleMcCool3-1.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/LaylaEl2.jpg

After a quick commercial we are taken to the divas locker room and in camera shot is Michelle McCool and Layla who look as united as ever.

Michelle McCool: I cannot believe it, another number one contender’s match tonight Layla!

Layla agree with Michelle, acting like a lap dog.

Michelle McCool: I cannot put on another match like at King of the Ring. I know I make history, after all I am the first Divas and Women’s champion AND the only Unified Divas champion. Not to mention, the undefeated Unified Divas champion. I’m that good that no one can touch me, not even that skank Neidhart. I mean look at her, it’s surprising she hasn’t begin growing a beard like her old man Jim.

Layla continues to agree with her but seems to be growing sick of her ego.

Michelle McCool: But Layla, there’s no need to worry. Because tonight I’m going to even the score with Beth Phoenix, because no one! And I mean no one, can touch Michelle McCool and get away with it.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/BethPhoenix.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/Tamina.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/NatalyaNeidhart.jpg

Continuing the divas action with a triple threat match featuring: Beth Phoenix, Natalya Neidhart and Tamina. This saw Beth Phoenix pick up a hard earned victory in her in ring return. Beth Phoenix cemented her face turn from the first minutes of the match as she teamed with Natalya Neidhart over Tamina until Michelle McCool walked out onto the entrance ramp. But no one came to blows with the Women’s Champion. However we did see a hint of tension between Natalya and Beth despite neither one coming into direct contact as Tamina kept coming back as soon as it went to Natalya against Beth. After the match we saw the new number one contender shake hands with Natalya and they looked a unified unit.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

After another commercial we are graced with the master of the microphone; CM Punk in his new segment: Straight to the Edge.

CM Punk: Welcome to the premiere edition of CM Punks: Straight Talkin’. You know what makes me sick about the WWE Universe is the fans think that because they have battled their demons and won that they are better than to go straight edge. You see straight edge means you are stronger than anyone of other thinking! It means you are not weak enough to succumb to the pressures of alcoholism or drug addiction.

To garner more cheap heat, Punk pretends to cough and mentions Jeff Hardy’s name and it works as the fans grow impatient of his promo.

CM Punk: You boo a man because he is a drug addict and he has the ability to say no!? You see that’s what’s wrong with the American public. You simply cannot say no! Look at you! Yeah you! Ten tyres Wendy! It’s clear that you can’t say no, one too many burgers by my reckoning!

The fans grow more hostile towards Punk as he continues to berate them on national TV.

CM Punk: But who’s worse than the people in that crowd are the guys behind that curtain! Take my opponent tonight for example; MVP. Most Valuable Player? The biggest waste of money in the World Wrestling Entertainment, I’ve already beaten him twice within the last month. That proves that the power of the Straight Edge is priceless, over his Million Dollar contract!

Before he could continue with his preaching the music of MVP hits and he sprints down the ring to start the next match.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/CMPunk.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/MVP.jpg

Despite going into the match with a full head of steam, the outraged MVP couldn’t pick up the win over the straight edged superstar and his comrade in arms; Luke Gallows. It was because of Gallows that Punk picked up the win through Gallows throwing a microphone into the ring and Punk used it sporadically throughout the match. However he didn’t strike MVP with it he used it to put over the demons of the common man and how the SES is an elitist society.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/Finlay.jpg

Following on from a great match we see one of the most underrated wrestlers in the industry as we see Finlay in the ring.

Finlay: I heard there was an open challenge to take on the WWE Champion? Well John Cena… Consider that challenge accepted and I know you’re in the building tonight with your Nexus lackeys, so lets make this happen tonight! Me and you Cena one on one!

The fans seem stunned with the random actions of Finlay since he has been working backstage for some months.

Finlay: You see that’s the reaction I expected. For 36 years, I’ve had to sit back, take a back seat to young punks like John Cena. No talent hype men that cannot hold a match with someone as talented as yours truly.

Despite sounding arrogant, the fans who feel betrayed by Cena cheer for the Irishman in the ring. Surprisingly from the back walks the WWE Champion and he accepts the challenge from the Irish Brawler.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/JohnCena.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/Finlay.jpg

Despite the overconfidence shown from Finlay, the youthful exuberance of Cena helped him to pick up the win and in no time at all. Cena picked up the win in under 5 minutes following the Celtic Cross which was used to add insult to injury to the veteran.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

After the match John Cena invites the Nexus down to the ring and they proceed to destroy Finlay and afterwards Cena announces to the crowd that he is 1 and 0.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Breaker.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/ReyMysterio.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/Kane.jpg

The main event of the evening comes to fruition as we see Kane take on Rey Mysterio and take it to the wire with him. As it takes a great back and forth match that took almost 20 minute for Kane to finish off the underdog with a big help from the interfering Ted and Brett DiBiase. Most importantly was the peck on the cheek from Maryse which the new commentary team of Joey Styles and Matt Striker dub “The Kiss of Death.”
